All-Knowing Lord of Deceit and Magic

Shadow Milk Cookie based on Myrddin Wyllt (Welsh legend) and Queen Rennala of the Full Moon (Elden Ring)

Going to still credit @cuppajj for the ideas and posting more myths crossed with the Beasts.

This time: I have Shadow Milk/Blueberry Milk Cookie inspired by Queen Rennala of the Full Moon with a Welsh legend.

My idea behind this is from a few factors; Shadow Milk Cookie is the cookie who held the Virtue of Knowledge, henceforth, knows all magic ranging from Pure Moon magic to Necromancy.

Why did I decide to choose Myrddin Wyllt? Sort of trying to Burning Spice Cookie with the Welsh accent- I thought a Welsh legend should fit (plus, Myrddin Wyllt was an inspiration for Merlin the Great). As a Bard, his presence in Welsh literature is him living as a madman where he relives the defeat of a great battle ("Battle of Arfderydd").

As for Queen Rennala, I like how the game presents her and the careful creations of her sorrow and power. Granted, her boss fight was created by her daughter, Ranni the Witch- but I still drew inspiration from the boss fight to this character!

I find it challenging to combine myths to cookies who nearly tie into Real World myths/legends because there are so many options to choose. I do have more plans to make more of these Beasts crossed with myths/legends but I have a chapter to write!

I'll leave with some notes here!

Lord Blue (a temporary nickname) has possessed the Soul Jam of Truth so he's sort of like a combined cookie of Pure Vanilla's empathy and Shadow Milk's jester-like attitude.

His hair/"icing" is liquid. So it floats and bubbles and reacts to his emotions (like in game where his form bubbles or goops out)

I mainly see this rendition as someone who mostly uses Dark Moon magic for more complicated spells but he will use other forms of magic for spells, helping his Beasts, etc....

He also has bubbles in his hair because I thought it would be cute

Definitely has that Welsh accent!

His glasses: I love seeing other artists/authors make Shadow Milk with a monocle but I thought this would work if he has glasses with those glasses chains

Merlin Wyllt, otherwise known as Emrys, had been trapped within the fade going on thousands of years now. Granted, he'd chosen to go there himself in order to gaurd Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain. He was the only one, other than Solas, who was powerful enough to do so. Merlin had grown up as a mere boy, a young Teifling, a race that is now extinct though some characteristics of them prevailed. He had grown up with some abilities but hadn't been very spectacular until the rebellion had happened and he'd left home to join Solas. The elf had come to care for the young lad and gifted him powers to use. Over time, his own own hibernated abilities merged with the gifted ones and made him almost as powerful as Solas himself.

His place within the rebellion hadn't been as influential as Solas', and thus, he hadn't really been remembered after disapearing into the fade. Though some small fragments of the legend included him, and a few even had him named as a god. He'd only recently escaped the fade along with the two elven gods, not really having known what had happened. All he knew was there had been a tear in the realities, and he'd had to follow the two through in order to fight to protect the natural balance of the world. He didn't know that his old friend was now trapped in the fade instead of them.

Merlin may not be as strong as the other two, but he was powerful in his own right and would do everything in his power to stop them and protect people. He followed the blight they left everywhere they went and did his best to track them from afar for now while purifying. So this is what he found himself doing at present, not realising that there were people nearby watching him he waved his hand as he passed by the blight infecting this current town and healed each section before moving on.

In the "canon" timeline -- which is to say the one where Cadenza is set in -- if Solita dies before, during, or after the events of said fic (but not during/after the sequel), there would only be her brother Sigmund, her friend/maid Elda Aerouant, and Elda's... something, Merlin Wyllt, who would be upset at her death. In the "au" timeline -- the one where Solita and Tewksbury are betrothed from birth and have been in love with each other since they were children -- Tewksbury would also be devastated by her death alongside Sigmund, Elda, and Merlin. Her father would also be saddened, but not so much as he would if Sigmund died and more than he would in the canon timeline. In this universe, Tewksbury would join Sigmund's work in publishing Solita's music, and also advocate for women's rights more harshly than what we see in canon

I love the badassery that is her smithing knowledge in the show but the best way I could figure out how to translate that here was to make her and her father artists

Tom owns a pottery shop and she helps him run it. She loves to spend time with him in the studio and make her own pieces

Other than pottery, she likes to paint, draw, and sew/embroider

Her father is so so proud of her art and will display it in the shop for everyone to see
