Can you explain LWJ kidnapping WWX? It left a bitter taste.

Anon, do you think Wei Wuxian, Modaozushi, scourge of the cultivation world, most intelligent man in the cultivation world, would be actually kidnapped with no options to get away if he wanted to?

He can call Wen Ning with a whistle, he has a clunky flute that can do whatever he needs it to do even if it sounds terrible, he’s not even tied to his donkey. Yes, Lan Wangji says drag him in and that he will take him back to the Cloud Recesses, but he does nothing to actually force Wei Wuxian along until he’s throwing tantrums outside the Cloud Recesses to be an ass.

While Wei Wuxian is certainly crying a lot about going into Gusu, his motivation isn’t to escape. If that were the case, he could have gotten away at any time before the events in the Yashi. Lan Wangji leaves him unattended several times and what does Wei Wuxian do? Wander around and confirm that the Cloud Recesses hasn’t changed at all from his childhood memories when he used to sneak out to Caiyi all the time, confirming that he knows all the ways out, annoy the juniors and go digging around the Cold Springs. Later after Lan Wangji has gone to sleep, instead of leaving then, he instead crawls into bed with Lan Wangji to annoy him. The next morning Lan Wangji leaves him alone again to deal with the arm, another time when Wei Wuxian could just leave if he actually wanted to, and instead Wei Wuxian intervenes and helps.

It’s another way that the beginning of the book is incredibly misleading before you really get to know these characters. Wei Wuxian isn’t being kidnapped because he’s going along willingly because his actual goal isn’t to get away from Lan Wangji, it’s to find out just how he’s changed in the last thirteen years and how far he can push him until he reacts.

It is not a story of a kidnapper and his victim in those first few chapters, it is a story of a man directly lying to the reader about his motivations because what he actually wants has to be sourced out through his actions, not the nonsense he cheerfully admits he spouts regularly.

Wei Wuxian and Shen Qingqiu both have a habit of having their fans take them rather too literally at their words rather than paying attention to what their actions show is the lie in those words. Wei Wuxian does not feel threatened or upset in those early days; what he is doing is the same thing we see him doing twenty years earlier the first time he and Lan Wangji met, pulling on his pigtails until Lan Wangji reacts.

I don’t think that this holds much significance in terms of an actual relationship and stuff happening behind the scenes. However, it feels like fate that they both posted on this day even without that significance being there. We cpfs love to talk about how they are fated and certain things, no matter how mundane, turned out to be a piece that completed the puzzle. There is some push back with some turtles saying this shouldn’t be included cause it seems like the start of this 11/19 is 2018 but again, just leaving this here. I could probably add 2015/2016 if we really wanna back track lol

2018: THIS IS THE KEY CPN IN ALL OF THIS. I have already explained it here. The infamous Japan trip. How both of them seemingly making references to their post from this year vs today (2023) especially XZ who even posted on the same time. There are so many rumors about this timeline, even going as far as saying the next day, they started living together. How this was WYB saying it’s WYB, not LWJ. So the relationship they have now is not between fictional characters but the real one.

Have we been wrong? did they officially become together 11/19/2018. Some are even pointing out that one of GG’s photos shared today appears to be him traveling back from IM to Beijing.

2019: Bazaar video was released, it’s message being a favorite among BXGs. Going by the assumption that this is their anniversary of sorts, it makes sense to have a message like that to be delivered.

how he met his love in a dream ( presumably that summer and playing wwx opposite wyb’s lwj ) and when he woke up, his love is still there. meaning even in reality, he still feels the same. no. it was not scripted, the one who shot it said it was xz’s answer and he was shocked too.

They posted some work related stuff on that day, with WYB’s being audi’s. the part of the caption we are clowning about is : Don’t blame me for not reminding you. Which in the original post and context is about the benefits you will get if you buy an Audi. but in cpn speak it could mean that ZZ probably forget, but he actually didn’t cause that bazaar love confession was clear.

2020: I already talked in detail over here #2 with was going on at the time.

It’s also the start of the whole Thursday is a good day to see you, in reference to WYB’s vogue post. Then it snowballed into a whole CPN of it’s own.

I forgot to add one important thing tho, around this time 11/18 there schedules were public and both are supposed to go back to Beijing. WYB was from Hangzhou and ZZ was from Nanjing. The incident of WYB changing his flight 3x so he can go back to Beijing is this time 11/18. We clowned that he was so eager to be in the same city with ZZ but with what we think now, it could be he wanted them to be together badly because it’s their anniversary the next day 11/19. 🤯

2021: Both of them posting a Douyin video that involves changing clothes. Which is a very common transition trend on the app but seeing it done on the same day was a treat and unusual. GG’s was posted 11/17 and WYB was 11/19.

I wanna remind people too that this is the same month we got the mysterious “voices” both in Shenzhen Vlog ( his husband wang yibo ) and talks of ZZ being at the Luoyang press conference filming. The same month the whole Ximalaya CPN started too. So they were definitely “acting up”.

2022: No actual posts but a parallel. 11/17, Guangdian appeared on the itunes chart because of fan’s effort. 11/18, WYB released a song ( government related ) called Light Chaser. So spotlight = light chaser has similar element and theme of light. Then on 11/20 WYB’s shared a douyin with 👀.

2023: Probably making up for how quiet last year was, they decided to give us a big hint/s of what 11/19 is all about. 😂😂😂

June BTS Summary + Takeaways

This is in reference to the June bts timeline here and here.

So I noted in May that gg hadn't seemed as interested in dd as vice versa. Then June goes ahead and starts with gg whispering in dd's ear and heckin' kabedoning him between takes. Clearly, there's some developments happening outside the bts scenes.

By the time of Produce 101 (6.3), gg and dd are sharing an earpiece. To be fair, I have no clue what level of intimacy that implies. Is sharing earpieces intimate? Is it something you'd do for your buddy that's doing another project with you? No idea.

The clip on 6.7 with dd ostensibly asking for a kiss is interesting to me. Is he joking? Are they already on kissing terms? Is it flirty, trying to get to kissing terms? Whatever it is, it seems as if dd helping gg with his Produce 101 dance kicked things up a notch.

I run into the same ambiguity with the 6.14 porny cold springs adventures. Is the porniness coming from two guys who are already intimate or is the porniness part of some tension of desire for intimacy that hasn't been realized?

I mean, we'll never know (I imagine even a tell-all book wouldn't delve into that). The most we can tell is that they were definitely "together" on 6.18, the date of the dragon boat festival. There's a hotel room photo probably taken by dd and then a walk of shame the next day (Kinda hate that phrase, tbh. No shame in sleeping with gg).

So yeah, June definitely escalates things between them. We finally see gg being outright flirtatious, there's a lot of sexually charged moments and there are indications that they had begun a relationship (if they weren't already in one).

The transformation of gg is honestly really noticeable when watching these in order. Not only is he more flirtatious, he also starts kinda codeswitching into a...um...gay voice.

Okay, I feel it's loaded to say that. Let me explain.

The "gay voice" is recognized as a thing (studied by science), and some gay men talk about being in a glass closet because they're just not able to present as straight. Of course, not all gay men speak with such a voice and not every man who speaks that way (more stereotypically feminine) is gay. But it's a recognizable thing, and I can hear gg slip into it this month even though he's speaking a different language.

I've seen some bilingual speakers comment the same (my understanding was that one of the reasons the spicy wontons clip is considered revealing is because gg "sounds gay" in it). In 6.30, when ggdd are sitting against the column, gg slips into the gay voice when prompting dd to be more romantic (by protecting gg/wwx with his body rather than just his sword).

There's a few other times in the next couple months where gg slips into the voice, so it's something he can turn on and off. Obviously, when he uses it, he's typically being flirty or romantic towards dd. He doesn't use it with anybody else.

6.30 is also notable because it shows that there's a romance between them, not just sex. GG wouldn't be chiding dd to be more romantic if they were just casual sex partners. That's something you do with a person you're dating.

In sum, they're boyfriends now, your honor.

so i saw this post about how modern nhs would use his phone as a equivalent of a fan. and tricking people into thinking he's not listening when is. and i added my own 5 cents and now i have a drabble! unspecified modern au with nhs as wwx's and jc's problem radar because it's not the gusu trio if they don't get themselves into some problems! unedited + written late, i might expand this au later... maybe

He was a party soul, honestly. He loved going out and spending time with people, listening to music, dancing, and anything but spending time studying. And it was no surprise that Huaisang was now sitting on someone's couch, in someone's house, he didn't really know the owner– But a good party wasn't happening every day! 

"...nah, no, we'll deal with him quickly."

He was alone though, with only his phone to keep him company. But it wasn't a problem really, he hadn't checked his Instagram feed for an hour now, so he had plenty of things to waste time on. Until someone comes up to dance with him. 

"Are you sure?"

He sighed. It would be great if someone did... Despite all his love for social media and all, he didn't really want to spend this whole night just on his phone, listening to the party noises. 

"Obviously! Come on, he's just a fucking brat who thinks he's in power now. All bark but no fucking bite."

His finger stopped mid-scrolling, his attention caught by a photo posted by one of his friends. Eh, Jiang Cheng wasn't a person to post anything often, so it was a big occasion! He tapped the screen twice and quickly opened the comments section. 

"I don't know, he seems strong... he beat up two people at once."

He typed a short comment about the photo and how shocking it is to see him active at all, before closing off the app. Though, he was even more surprised to see that almost instantly he got a notification back. 

"But they were unprepared losers. I'll get the old man's people, get some knives or something and we will fucking deal with the fucker."

It took him no time to open direct messages with Jiang Cheng, seeing that he was online. He was bored, alright? And Jiang Cheng was the perfect person to text! Well, maybe because he was sometimes funny to tease... 

"...you want to kill him?"

He texted him about how he was at some boring party and had no one to dance with, he had no one else to bother in other words. As if Jiang Cheng cared, was the reply. 

"Nah, wouldn't risk jail because of trash like him. Just stab him to show who's actually in power and that's it. A warning, you know."

Nie Huaisang sighed heavily and clicked out of the app again. He stared at the screen for a moment and opened the camera instead. He posed to the camera, opting for the same, well known pose he had in most of his party photos. 

"I don't want to deal with his brother if anything serious happens to him, though." 

It took him a moment to actually make a good photo, good quality, and all in this party lighting, but he looked super cute! He opened Instagram again and posted the said picture. He couldn't be bothered with a good caption, so instead, he just put the first emoji he had in his recent ones and tapped "post". 

"Ha! As if he cares about this annoying orphan... He will thank us for dealing with him, watch it."

And then, he opened his direct messages with Jiang Cheng again.

The photo was showing two guys sitting near the couch Huaisang was occupying. If they were a little less obnoxious and not so fucking loud, maybe he wouldn't hear their full conversation and their plan would succeed, but, well! Maybe if they cared about their surroundings more.

Nie Huaisang tapped out of the app and raised his eyes from the phone. His gaze lingered on the two men, talking loudly and drinking some random liquor he was sure wasn't even party sponsored until his phone screen went black.

Well, he should sit around for some more, maybe. Who knows what else he would accidentally hear? He pulled out his earphones. This is going to be a long, long night it seems.

Outshined By The Moon's Brilliance

Wen Ruohan x Wei Ying

Premise: This is a Time Travel AU, so WWX has already meddled with canon by building his own Demonic Sect + recruiting familiar faces. All his scheming led to his sect being invited to the Wen hunting competition where he gets a shocking revelation....

The air felt so dry that it made the nostrils sting and lips crack, the occasional breeze carrying a vague scent of sulphur. If one were to take a deep enough breath, they would taste a faint metallic tinge at the back of their tongues. Outsiders were constantly reminded of the lava rivers flowing throughout Qishan, as well as its oppressive heat. The sun had just reached its apex, its light bleaching the sky a whitish-blue, the intense rays bearing down on the crowd, bathing their colourful robes with golden light, making them shine all the brighter. Beads of sweat running down crinkled brows, boots scuffing against gravel in a nervous dance, eyes suspiciously flickering from the high altar where the Five Great Sect Leaders were supposed to sit and then back at the -now- raised flags, the atmosphere wrought with barely restrained agitation.

Quiet chatter drifted into unwilling ears, though the more composed members of the crowd tried to not let it bother them, they couldn’t help but agree with the gossipers.

The whole arrangement made no sense.

Sect leaders kept their expressions neutral as their disciples pointed at the flags, whispering to each other:

There were supposed to be Five Great Sects, all their leaders accounted for.

So, why was there a sixth flag snapping against the wind?

The new flag in question had, unlike its companions, a pitch black background, with a blood-red crescent moon skilfully stitched at the centre, a snow-white huli jing was depicted, peacefully sleeping at the crescent’s crook, its nine tails lazily drooping downwards, flowing beneath the red moon in a colourless waterfall.

By itself it was a beautiful flag, the calmer ones mused.

What was causing such a ruckus was the group that the flag was attached to.

“Isn’t that…?” 

“It is! It is!” 

“But why would Wen Zongzhu invite that lot?! And to give them a seat at the table…?” 

“I’m still having trouble here…Wasn’t ‘that’ sect just a myth?” 

“This must be some kind of test! Why else would Wen Zongzhu request that clan of demons to come here?!”

“Is he trying to start a feud here and now?!” Nie Clan Heir, Nie Mingjue, quietly hissed under his breath. Choosing to focus on the altar’s highest seat, meant for Wen Zhangmen, as opposed to the main oddity. (while all the other leaders’ places were at the bottom of the altar. The young man noted with a sneer.) 

Nie Cídǐng settled a large hand on his eldest’s shoulder, firmly squeezing. “Now is not the time to make a scene, son. I’ll discuss it with Wen Zhangmen after the competition.” He murmured in his heir’s ear, thankful that all the chatter seemed to have blocked out his words from the nearby Wen disciples. He only let go when he sensed the younger forcing his tense frame to relax.

Nie Zhangmen immediately straightened his posture once he heard the heralds beating on the drums, ready to start announcing his and the others’ titles. 

“The Head of the Qinghe Nie Sect, Head of the Nie Clan!”

Giving his heir one last warning look, Nie Cídǐng stepped away from his eldest. Quietly taking a deep breath through his nose, the clan leader arranged his features into a more neutral expression and walked through a path the crowd of young cultivators made for him. Shoulders set and pace steady. 

“The Head of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, Head of the Jiang Clan!”

Though the man was able to keep a polite smile plastered on his face, seasoned observers noticed the nervous twitch in Jiang Fengmian’s brow as he made his way to where Nie Cídǐng was standing, waiting for the rest of his fellow sect leaders at the foot of the altar. 

“The Head of the Gusu Lan Sect, Head of the Lan Clan!”

Still holding the rank of the most composed one of their group, Lan Qiren’s face hardly hinted at how he felt about the strangeness of the whole situation. It was only because he knew the man for years that Nie Cídǐng could see the tightness in the -usually unruffled- sect leader’s eyes as he got closer to the other two.

“The Head of the Lanling Jin Sect, Head of the Jin Clan!” 

Incomes the yellow eyesor -ahem!- Jin Zhangmen. That overly decorous fan of his open and hiding the bottom half of his face. Nie Cídǐng took note of the frivolous man’s attempt at acting coy, but it seems that Jin Zongzhu couldn’t stop his eyes from flitting suspiciously at the new addition among the flags. A greedy gleam in his gaze. 

“The Head of the Yiling Wei Sect, Head of the Wei Clan!”

Finally…. Nie Cídǐng thought.

Although, Wei Zongzhu wasn’t the only one walking down the path.

He brought his right-hand and left-hand with him, both men half a stride behind their superior. Their sect’s black outer robes and red inner robes swishing with every step. 

Despite the fact that all three men came from the same sect, none of their outer robes were a perfect match.

Wei Zhangmen’s right-hand, Meng Ruiqi, appeared to be the most unassuming of the trio. Hands folded at the waist, a gentle, near-feminine face that was smiling serenely, eyes closed and head bowed in a subservient manner, giving off a calm, demure air. His black outer robes were dotted with Lily of the Valley flowers along the shoulders and sleeves. Both hands, one folded atop the other, resulted in the long sleeves to interconnect, the embroidery on the cuffs overlapping, forming into a completed Lily of the Valley branch. 

It was only through Nie Cídǐng’s eagle-eyes and the sun hitting the reserved man’s black robes just so , did the sabre-wielder realise that there were additional details. 

Webs. Intricately woven black threads, the shade almost blending perfectly with its dark background, forming into spiderwebs carefully stitched on the shoulder and sleeve areas. The parts where the webs were supposed to interconnect to form a centre appeared to be covered up by the white, bell-shaped flowers. 

Not knowing why he felt slightly unsettled by the abnormal design choice, Nie Cídǐng chose to aim his focus at the man on the left.

Xue Chengmei was the exact opposite of his seemingly harmless-looking partner.  

Leisurely walking behind his sect leader with his arms interlocking behind his head in a rather inappropriately casual manner, the young man could easily give one the impression of an impish youth with a boyish charm, if it wasn’t for that canine-like smile of his. Xue Chengmei would catch the eye of whoever stared at him for too long and split his lips further, showing more of his teeth in a wide grin that was just plain unnerving, forcing others to look elsewhere. The design of his black robes had one dark-green snake stitched on both sides, their heads resting on each shoulder, long bodies stretched across the torso, tail-ends interweaving around the waist. Blending perfectly with the green belt that had a scale-like pattern. 

Nie Cídǐng carefully observed the grinning man’s style of wear.

The bottom of his robes stopped at the ankles, offering more legroom, long boots that were suitable for combat and leather bracers securely wrapped around his wrists, keeping his wide sleeves tied.

A manic fighter. He thought. Someone who’s ready to jump into the fray should a brawl break out.

Nie Cídǐng’s gaze at last settled on the main attraction. Eyes meticulously studying the one at the centre who was steadily making his way to their little group. 

Wei Fàngrèn truly was an enigma.

The man made his debut in the cultivation world with little to no fanfare. No prior warnings of someone experimenting or doing Heavens’ know what with demonic qi, no whisper of a young genius capable of inventing bizarre gadgets that would make the most perilous of Night Hunts end with hardly any injury or casualty. 

And was able to build his own sect from the ground up in less than ten years.

If Nie Cídǐng didn’t know any better, he would’ve thought Wei Zongzhu just decided to pop into existence one day, leaving every cultivator scratching their heads. 

Nobody even knows the demonic cultivator’s exact age and he refused to associate himself with any established sect, all they had were rumours. 

A walking quandary at its finest…

In a single breath, all chatter ceased. The crowd watched with trepidation as the mysterious cultivator, whom they only heard about through hearsay, quietly make his way to the foot of the altar. Not even his fluttering robes made a sound. 

The man’s choice of wear easily had the most simple design. Crimson spider-lilies encircling the cuff of his sleeves, most of the flowers clustered at the tail-end of his robe, forming into a red trail thinning out as it went up. A plunging neckline cut through the red of his inner robe, revealing the pale expanse of his chest, the style ill-suited for the current occasion, along with a weimao to complete the look, its sheer curtain made of black silk, concealing their wearer’s face. 

However, the hidden face was only one of two peculiarities about the man.

Most of the disciples couldn’t help but stare at the snow-white hair streaming down the strange man’s back, while the braver ones of the crowd tried to tuck their chins to their chests, straining their eyes in order to catch a glimpse of the new arrival’s face beneath the black silk of his weimao. 

After what felt like an eternity, but was in fact only a few moments, Wei Zongzhu slowed to a stop in front of the gathered sect leaders. Cupping his hands and offering a silent bow as his first greeting to them.

The four of them nodded back and waited for the new arrival to introduce himself properly.

He did not. Instead, Wei Zhangmen straightened his spine and waved off his two subordinates. Both men merely bowed their heads and walked off to join the crowd, among a small gathering of young disciples -who everyone had just realised- were wearing their sect’s colours. 

Letting out a quiet huff of disapproval at Wei Zongzhu’s lacklustre greeting, Lan Qiren turned his back on the four and climbed up the altar. The rest slowly followed behind.

None of them spoke a single word after settling into their assigned seats. All forming one line, with Wei Zongzhu being the closest to Wen Ruohan’s elevated seat, Nie Cídǐng at his left, then Lan Qiren and Jin Guangshan. Jiang Fengmian being the furthest away from Wei Fàngrèn. 

Yet it was Jiang Zongzhu who started making a fuss over Wei Fàngrèn.

The moment Wei Zhangmen took off his weimao, Jiang Fengmian let out an audible gasp which-thanks to the suffocating silence- travelled all the way to the back of the crowd.

Nie Cídǐng snapped his head, taking a brief -enough for the sake of propriety- look at the face revealed to him.

White eyebrows, white lashes, a slanted nose, elegant features that looked to be meticulously carved, pale-pink lips, twisted into a blank smile, a beauty mark dotting the corner of his mouth, liquid-silver eyes, that long mane -snowy all the way to the roots - held up by a simple crimson ribbon. 

Nie Cídǐng looked back at his fellow sect leader, now confused.

Certainly Wei Zongzhu had a radiance that was beyond natural, but he never took Jiang Zhangmen as the type to lose his composure over a pretty face.

(The pig -Jin Guangshan- certainly wasn’t doing any better. Almost dropping his fan, mouth gaping like a fish, openly staring at the newcomer like a mongrel salivating over a slab of meat.

Nie Cídǐng decided then and there that he was going to stay by Wei Zongzhu’s side until the end of the competition. Someone had to help the newcomer ward off that dog’s advances.)

Jiang Zhangmen was also gawking at Wei Fàngrèn, eyes running over the man’s features, a look of familiarity on his face, desperately searching for…. something in the demonic cultivator’s face.

Interestingly enough, Lan Qiren was also carefully studying Wei Fàngrèn’s face. Brow crinkled and mouth stiff, as if he was reminded of an unpleasant dish he was forced to eat long ago. 

For his part, Wei Fàngrèn met the chaos he unwittingly made head-on. That smile never leaving his face, though Nie Cídǐng couldn’t help but notice the slight strain behind that nonchalant facade. 

The enigma tilted his head to the side, much like a curious cat, short strands of white hair falling around his face, framing his features. Waiting for someone to break the silence.

The drums started beating once more….

“The Head of the Qishan Wen Sect, Head of the Wen Clan!”

All of them stiffened and snapped their heads forward. Waiting for the last member of their group to join.

Nie Cídǐng resisted the urge to purse his lips in disapproval, watching as his “friend” made his grand entrance. Sunset-red and white robes bellowing as he strode past their tables with the gait of a man who clearly believed that he had the world at the palm of his hand.

Honestly, he wasn’t even surprised when the elder didn’t bother with any sort of greeting. At least Wei Zhangmen had some sense. 

What did surprise him was Wen Ruohan casually stopping in front of Wei Fàngrèn’s table, stooping down and placing his mouth close to the -now frozen- sect leader’s ear, whispering something as if they were old friends sharing a secret.

Straining his senses, Nie Cídǐng managed to hear that one sentence:

“You’ve certainly learned to be a lot more cunning this time around, Yiling Lazou.”

“I see…” wwx mumbled, following lwj’s moves with as much skill as he could muster. He wasn’t exactly bad at it, and he was sure that if he actually did some yoga a few times a week, he’d get pretty damn good in only a month or two. The other man’s movements slowly sped up as they moved, as the transitions between poses became more fluid for wwx—as his muscles warmed and his heels reached the floor, his palms flattened, his back arched a little farther and—

“Like what you see, Mr. Lan?” he purred from his back bend, arms stretching high behind him. He wasn’t particularly flexible—not anymore—but the movement had drawn his shirt up, exposing the stomach that his dom was now ogling.

“Mn…” lwj hummed, lips twitching when wwx giggled and pulled his hands back to his chest. “We will add on this time.”

wwx hummed in agreement, his body easily flowing through the movements with lwj, even if he wasn’t anywhere close to as impressive. He was just beginning to wonder what they were going to change, his hips pulled back into Downward Dog, when lwj’s movements changed. Rather than do that stupidly impressive legs swinging forward through his damn arms thing, he swung one leg backwards.

“Plant your weight on the opposite foot,” lwj told him, watching carefully as wwx did so, before very sternly telling him to try to not shift his hips as he swung his own leg back, towards the ceiling.

He… did okay, he thought. He had taken a few dance classes when he was a teenager—his sister had been nervous about attending drop-in classes in styles she was less familiar with, and he’d tagged along—and knew the importance of isolating each body part. As the relationship starts to be serious, jc starts to be a bit nervous.

They never went farther than cuddling, kissing and making out a bit and nmj clearly doesn't know she's trans.

Jl and wwx enter in protective mode because they /won't/ allow anyone to hurt jc again. Jl absolutely loves his aunt and she deserves the best and he won't ever let anyone hurt her now that he is a bit older. He cannot understand how anyone could see jc as bad for who she is.

On the other hand, wwx has been by jc side since she came out to him as trans and never let her down even when shit went really messy and hard. He is happy to see her doing so well now and being happy, he won't let any other jackass break her heart.

But they also both know jc cannot exactly keep this a secret from nmj forever.

So jc invite him over because she want to talk about something important (while jl and wwx are here, they both refused to let them alone, jc is secretly relieved about that stubbornness of them). Nmj is worried something might have happened but doesn't force her to tell him, instead coming over to hear what is the important thing she has to say.

when he get there, jc pushes wwx and jl to another room, not wanting for their presence to make nmj nervous (but close enough to hear and be ready to come if the worst outcome were to happen).

she makes some tea to calm her nerve, finally sitting down with nmj at the kitchen table. she doesn't say anything at first, searching how to say it, ending up with going for straightforward (nmj prefers straightforwardness and she doesn't want to dance around the subject).

"So, there's something I haven't told you yet, but feel would be important to tell you if we continue with this relationship" jc starts, hand fiddling with the handle of her cup, "I didn't want you to discover from someone else or by accident, so I wanted to tell you myself before things get farther".

at this point, nmj is a bit confused as to what could be so important to tell him that could make him want to /break up/ with jc. He offers a small smile, hoping it can reassure her as she gathers her courage.

"I... am trans" jc finally says.

she wants to have more, but the lack of actual reaction makes her nervous and tense up, fiddling more with the teacup. "I-I get it if you don't want to stay with me, am used to it don't worry you can just tell me, at least it will hurt les-" she starts to ramble nervously before jumping as a hand grabbed hers gently.

jc then looks up to meet nmj eyes, the man smiles softly at her with no hint of disappointment and disgust, just reassurance and love.

"I won't leave you simply because you are who you are" he assures her first, "I love the jc I met and you being trans won't change it, I will be there to support you too".

jc finally manages to calm down, laughing a bit she tears up, happy that nmj isn't like her exes and is clearly more than fine with her being trans. she lets him pull her into strong and reassuring arms, letting herself fully calm down from this subject that had made her more stressed than usual.

jl and wwx eventually come out from their hiding, which does make nmj a bit curious because he didn't expect for them to be hidden (maybe not jl since he lives here, but wwx yes).

jc mentioned they wouldn't let her stay in the apartment alone because of bad past experiences (tho she doesn't go much on those past experiences and nmj doesn't push her to do so).

They end up talking a bit more, nmj wanting to know what were things he shouldn't do or say to make her uncomfortable if she ever needs his help for anything trans-related. jc is a bit curious as to why he seems so used to it and nmj admits that his brother is also trans.

"Wait, he is?" wwx asks surprised

nmj I suddenly a bit nervous that he might have outed his brother (he saw nhs often talking about it with other friends, so he assumed he had told them).

after a call to his brother nmj is reassured to hear nhs is alright with it (he thought he had told them actually and is surprised neither of them really caught onto it).

so everything is fine, jc gets a nice and supportive boyfriend and everyone is happy (tho it doesn't stop wwx and jl from testing nmj like before to make sure he won't break jc hearts too).

I dunno why, but I want nhs and jc to have self-care nights (nhs suggestion after seeing jc so stressed) and they talk about anything and sometimes trans thing while nmj is just sitting next to them, helping out with whatever they are doing while being a bit confused as to what they are talking about (but it's fine, he also learn more like this).

I just wanted trans lady jc to have a good boyfriend and now she has, no one can ever hurt her with a little protection squad (which now also includes lxc and jgy because they ain't gonna let anyone hurt their friend's girlfriend)

Jiang Cheng somehow winds up in the kitchen doing jello shots that are WAY too strong with Wei Wuxian. 

It’s admittedly fun, but he ends up tapping out after just two, unable to tolerate the taste and texture any more than that. It’s too slimy and too wet and the way it slides down his throat makes him shudder in a bad way. Plus the tequila is cheap as fuck and he can taste it even through the jello flavor.

The two of them move to the living room? Or at least Jiang Cheng thinks it’s the living room, to dance to a few songs. But Jiang Cheng ends up losing Wei Wuxian in the crowd while Wei Wuxian screams for Lan Wangji. 

It’s fine. It was getting to be a bit much anyway. Jiang Cheng doesn’t want to dance anymore. 

Instead he hobbles over to one of the couches, all but collapsing into it. He can definitely feel the buzz starting to hit, and it’s going a looooong way toward making this party a lot more bearable. He tilts his head back against the weirdly plush sofa, and just lets the walls spin for a moment while he catches his breath. 

After a while, he makes his way back to the kitchen, sweaty and overheating and desperately thirsty. Of course, Jin Zixuan is there, making his own drink out of what looks like some kind of jungle juice. Or at least, that’s what Jiang Cheng thinks it’s called when they put too many alcohols and juices and actual pieces of fruit into a single huge... water dispenser thing?? The thing that releases the juice into your cup. Jiang Cheng doesn’t know! English is difficult enough when sober. Jiang Cheng frowns at the massive not-barrel, cursing it in his mind for making him feel like an idiot, but after a few seconds decides to put his head down on the cold counter and just enjoy the chill instead. Jin Zixuan offers him a little half smile, and Jiang Cheng smiles back before Jin Zixuan is sliding his cup over to him. 

“Here. Want it?”  

Jiang Cheng eyebrows furrow in doubt. 

“And what’s THIS supposed to be?”

“A peace offering. Or.. A second attempt at least.” Jin Zixuan rolls his eyes. “C’mon. You literally WATCHED me make it.”

Jiang Cheng frowns, snatching the cup. At this point, doubting the other boy would just make him seem like an ass. 

...plus he was REALLY thirsty. 

He chugs the (surprisingly tasty) concoction and ignores the fact that alcohol will not cure his thirst, while Jin Zixuan sets about making his own drink to match. It’s pretty peaceful, each of them nursing their own cup in silence. Or at least, as much silence as you can get in the kitchen of an absolutely raging house party. Which is.. more than you would expect honestly. But still loud as all fuck.

He doesn’t know how get from point A to point B, but one moment Jiang Cheng is just vibing, enjoying the way the bass of the music pulses through his entire body, and the next he and Jin Zixuan are practically falling all over themselves laughing. Jiang Cheng can’t even remember why or what the hell was so fucking funny. And then one of them gets a little TOO giddy and ends up knocking over an entire bottle of... something, onto the floor.

Of course, drunken logic tells them to panic, and instead of cleaning it up like sensible people, they immediately run away from the scene and pretend as though they had nothing to do with the spill like assholes.

Very Smart.

They end up in a cramped hallway, pressed almost chest to chest, laughing far too hard at absolutely nothing. Usually Jiang Cheng resents the fact that he hasn’t finished his final growth spurt and has to look up at Jin Zixuan, but right now, he doesn’t mind all that much..

Jin Zixuan is telling him something, but Jiang Cheng can’t hear him over the music, drums thudding so loud that it drowns out the sound of his own heart beating. Jiang Cheng tries to ask what he said, and Jin Zixuan tries to repeat himself, twice, before realizing that they’re getting nowhere.

Then Jin Zixuan has Jiang Cheng’s hand in his, and is pulling him away further down the hall. Jiang Cheng is a bit surprised at how cool his fingers feel to the touch. He doesn’t even think too much about where Jin Zixuan is taking him, just happy to follow along... until Zixuan pulls him into one of the guest bedrooms.

He doesn’t even act like its a big deal, walking forward to sit on the bed with a sigh as the door closes behind them.

“Ugh— Finally! I bet my hearing will be completely gone by tomorrow. Fuck.”

Jiang Cheng is a bit nervous admittedly, but he also feels like being nervous is stupid. Who gets intimidated by a fricken bed?! So he sucks it up and slowly walks over to sit next to Jin Zixuan, stomach full of weird fluttery feelings that were probably definitely due to the alcohol consumption. Jiang Cheng shifts his legs awkwardly and gives Jin Zixuan a curious look.

“Soooo.. what were you trying to say earlier?”

Jin Zixuan scratches the back of his neck, struggling to meet Jiang Cheng’s eye.

“...I was actually.. gonna apologize. I guess..”

“..What?”

The word is softer than intended, Jiang Cheng caught of guard by Jin Zixuan’s candor, too surprised to be his usual, gruff and unapproachable self.

The party seems so distant now.

It’s weird. Jiang Cheng can hear the yelling and the music, but it’s quiet. Removed. Did people know that bedrooms are like liminal spaces at parties? Is that why people enjoy them so much?

He’s not naïve enough to actually believe that that’s what people usually do in these rooms, but honestly? He could see the appeal of just sitting in here and hiding out. Close enough to be in the party, but still separate.

Yeah, he’s a bit of a loner. Sue him.

Jin Zixuan is fiddling with his bracelet, stubbornly refusing to look at Jiang Cheng.

“Yeah. Earlier? I shouldn’t’ve been trying to hit on you. It was probably weird and-”

“You were hitting on me?” Jiang Cheng cuts Jin Zixuan off, shocked, but Jin Zixuan just nods.

“Yeah, but I didn’t realize that you were with Wei Wuxian and it probably made you uncomfortable-”

“Wait-”

“but you just looked really cute and I’m sorry, I don’t actually know what I was thinking-”

“Wait! Wait—you think I’m cute?”

“Yes, but I shouldn’t have pushed and-”

“Zixuan. Shut up.”

Jin Zixuan frowns as he finally looks at him. He seems genuinely upset. Jiang Cheng will probably regret this tomorrow. No. He’ll definitely regret this tomorrow, when he’s had time to think on what it all means, but right now? It just feels so good to be wanted, to be told that he’s desirable. He doesn’t WANT to think about what it all means. In fact, all he wants to do is—

Jin Zixuan makes a shocked little noise when Jiang Cheng kisses him. It’s rough, uncoordinated, and he’s pretty sure that they bumped teeth... but it feels pretty nice too.

And then Jiang Cheng is climbing onto his lap and it feels like things completely fly off the handle. Jin Zixuan’s hands are tight on Jiang Cheng’s hips and it sends a thrill through his stomach as he rolls them down against his lap. It doesn’t take much but there’s something so satisfying about knowing that Jin Zixuan is just as hard as he is. Jin Zixuan’s hands rub up and down his thighs before sliding up to cup around his ass and Jiang Cheng moans. Every movement gets a little faster as Jiang Cheng pushes him back to the bed.

They stay like that for a while, adjusting to the new position and all the pleasures it brings. Jiang Cheng feels powerful and sexy like this, sitting on top of Jin Zixuan as they make out, but he thinks he likes it more when Jin Zixuan flips them, slowly crawling over him and pressing him into the mattress. He feels dizzy as he wraps his arms around Jin Zixuan’s neck, kissing him senseless.

The weight on top of him feels good, their tongues pressing together, wet, sloppy and oddly squishy making his spine tingle. They both taste like alcohol and sticky, overly sweet syrupy juice, but Jiang Cheng really can’t bring himself to care. Jiang Cheng’s mind is hazy with the lack of air, neither of them willing to pull away and properly catch their breath, and he wonders if this is how he’ll lose his virginity.

i have definitely made several posts related to fake rumors both from cql era & rumor houses so this is definitely one of my favorite things to share. these are all from cql filming timeline where the practice of fake rumors really started. this does not include the 49 initial fakes. as usual, these are not real. 🤐

1. the two of them are very close on the set and when female supporting role has not been deleted yet. During one scene, wyb once asked the director with a black face ( angry ) in front of xz “I can’t tell what the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji is. I can’t immerse myself in the role”

( I think it’s common knowledge that in the beginning, the production had some hetero agenda to appease censorship. As we all know, the book fans weren’t happy with that because it takes away the key essence of the story. I’m so happy we got the depiction of WWX/LWJ relationship that we did. I’m happy that XZ and WYB both voiced their bias to follow the source material. Remember XZ also said ( in an unofficial bts so let’s take it as fake too ) to cut the scenes with a female lead that seems romantic. so whoever is saying that these two were somehow tricked into starring in a bl drama needs some serious common sense lol )

2. xz watched wyb’s video of “yelling lyrics” and laughed at him for a long time

3. they looked up each others’ dark history, wyb searched xz’s old pictures, and xz searched are wyb’s videos.

( i think this is proven in an interview, they did look up each other’s previous works. HAHAHAHAHA! it’s so cuteeee cause this is like when you have a crush on someone and you stalk their socials to know more about them. but ofc theirs was all professional courtesy. or was it? )

4. next, xz said when he pulled out his blonde video he said that wyb was so cute. wyb even flipped up his hair to show him, but when another actor said it, wyb just smiled but didn't respond.

5. when playing Honor of Kings, wyb likes to play as topsolo and jungle, xz usually plays as midsolo, xz once complained that wyb has no team awareness and being unable to score points with him.

6. likes to praise each other exaggeratedly in front of the camera and in private. even if they have NG scenes.

7. many scenes were deleted from the drama, such as the branding on the chest. There was also a scene where Lan Wangji went off the cliff to find Wei Wuxian. The scenes were not aired. I guess it’s too ambiguous.

8. wyb sometimes leaves the crew to do other work xz will often chat with him on WeChat. Once the director asked him who he was video chatting with. Then he just said “it’s Lao Wang”. The director was shocked at that time.

( we have cpn about this too, them sending each other photos and videos. chatting and video calling when they are not filming together. )

9. wyb introduced xz to motorcycles and raced with him at the scene. I feel like xz is not interested in the video but has been listening patiently.

10. The two of them often eat together after work, wyb loves to eat sour food. One time, xz staff bought two portions of “liang pi” xz thought it was a bit sour and ate a little. Wyb finished his portion and still ate xz’s leftovers.

( this is basically true as well. i mean we have video/s of them eating off of each other’s plate )

11. wyb taught xz dancing and korean on the set.

12. both of them are very childish and like to use all kinds of strange words.

13. wyb once used a forehead ribbon in the dressing room to tie xz’s hands up, xz looked at him indifferently and helplessly.

14. when filming the scene in the cave, both of them got wet. The makeup laoshi asked them to hurry up and put on their costumes outside. The two of them were still in the water. When playing inside, wyb immediately took off xz’s outermost coat.

15. two people have discussed the issue of body hair xz asked wyb: Why do you have so little leg hair? Wyb said he was born with it. xz looked at him with an interesting expression.

16. the deleted branding scene was after Lan Wangji recovered from his injury. Looking for Wei Wuxian's body on the cliff, but we only saw the battle in the Nightless City. He was so angry and sad that he burned the torture instrument with lava and burned the same wound in the same place on his chest.

17. another one that was deleted was the conversation with Wei Wuxian on a snowy night. 19. wyb often plays Wei Wuxian’s flute on set but xz doesn’t play much with Lan Wangji’s sword. Wyb once said that he (xz) was the best blowing the flute the group. xz beat him because of that. Lol.

20. the reason for Lan Wangji’s shape is that there are two strands of hair in front. so when waiting for the scene, he would pick up the hair at the back xz and help him. He said it many times, and also said that Wang Yibo can get married if he has long hair that reaches his waist.

21. xz said that wyb has a shape that looks like bamboo shoots and then at noon that day, he asked the assistant to order the fried pork with bamboo shoots from the small kitchen. then ate together with wyb.

22. there is a scene where Lan Wangji needs to carry Wei Wuxian on his back. He tried and was officially filmed after one take. After the filming, the director asked them why they were joking. XZ said he didn’t know how to put his feet after lying down. Lan Wangji didn’t catch it either, both of them laughed.

23. wyb doesn’t eat snacks very much on set, but he does eat director Nie and about xz’s snacks. he said that xz does not eat snacks properly. The most common meal he eats is the fruit salad that xz brought to the set.

24. wyb’s sword tool was thrown around once and fell down. When we got to our feet, xz happened to see it next to him and laughed for a long time.

25. there were several group scenes shot in the suburbs of Hengdian. both guys have lots of mosquito bites. xz told wyb I will teach you how to get better quickly, so he used his fingers to make a cross on wyb’s mosquito bite. wyb’s face was like “you must be lying to me” but he still made a cross on every bite

26. the first time they filmed outdoors, when they talked about what insects there were in the fields, wyb told xz that he was scared of insects, especially those with many tentacles, then he carefully counted every thing that he was scared of.

27. xz likes to scare him with insects, during wyb’s birthday he also scared him with insects

28. once, other actors used a horror video to scare wyb, wyb didn’t know about it and immediately jumped to the side after watching it. xz stood at the side and said “he is really scared, don’t mess with him”

29. the two of them have different make up artists to help them touch up their makeup. 41. the two actually got to know each other very well quickly. the director also praised that it melted ( break the ice, so the ice was melted in this case ) very quickly, but the staff didn’t think about it. when it comes to wyb, he is actually very childish and lively, but also very matured.

Hi! I hope you don't mind me coming to ask for more help with my Ballet!AU but something that's been on my mind, especially since I was at Swan Lake today, is that The Firebird is extremely short compared to a lot of the other big name shows, at less than an hour, and I'm curious if people are happy to go for that length or if modern versions have been stretched out to fit a longer runtime? It's not a big issue storywise it's just bugging me because it feels like it's very short.

Another thing I was wondering, has the Firebird and Tsarevna ever been played by the same performer, or are they always separate? The reason I'm asking is I want JC to have the most important role in the show, but it seems like the Prince is the lead character, and the Firebird isn't on very much overall - although I suppose the same could be said for Swan Lake 🤔?

I'm just struggling to get a grip on which show is ideally suited to have JC in constant rehearsals with LWJ, who really wishes he was dancing with WWX because he fancies both but has only figured out he's attracted to WWX and resents JC for having WWX's attention, even while being into JC. There is also ChengXian and the story will likely end in ZhanChengXian -- I wanted to be upfront on that in case that ship would make you uncomfortable and if you'd rather I not bother you as a result, just let me know.

I am absolutely here for more ballet!au talk. Firebird is certainly shorter than a three act ballet like Swan Lake, which means it’s usually staged as part of a mixed bill alongside one or two other shorter works. That’s a pretty normal staging so extending the runtime would need some justification, and I don’t think you’d need to.

Any company is going to be rehearsing more than one production at once, they can’t afford to take a month or more between performances after all, so even if Firebird is the one everyone’s focusing on it won’t be the only rehearsals they’re running. LWJ won’t be rehearsing with JC all the time in practice but that doesn’t mean he won’t feel like it, particularly if he’s dealing with all that. I get your point around stage time but that being said, if you’re looking at on stage interaction Ivan and the firebird are together quite a lot - I’m pretty sure that he spends more time with the firebird than with Tsarevna. I think you could get more than enough mileage out of LWJ getting madder every time he’s rehearsing with JC, that the firebird is where his focus needs to be even though he wants to be looking at WWX. 6.1 ggdd Yiling market scene with a-yuan

- Dd does the sword in and out thing right in front of the child

- Then they're in post-timeskip costumes and gg does a few of his dance moves

- They're doing a scene where they are about to walk up to a building where jc is. Gg turns to DD and whispers something in his ear, facing away from where they're going. Then he touches DD's sleeve.

- They do a take. Dd as lwj walks to a nearby column and leans on it. After they call cut, gg immediately goes to kabedon DD, who smiles. Then they start walking off together

- As a blue screen is getting set up, DD helps gg with his dance. Then they do the SpongeBob thing

- Includes bit under covered walkway where gg does dancy walking away. They continue to talk and whatever the convo is about, gg finds it delightful/hilarious.

6.2 dramatic rain scene with DD being obscene with the umbrella

6.2 gg only with jc. Madam Jiang is there. They're planning out the whipping scene.

- GG calls JC "sausage" bc apparently the name Jiang Cheng sounds similar to the word "sausage"

- JC comments to the fight coordinator that he worries the audience will criticize the whipping scene bc Madam Yu is so harsh with WWX. GG teases him by pointing out a scene where JC tried to whip WWX. JC looks at the camera and says "I'm not that person."

- GG teases WZC for apparently lying about his height.

6.3 gg on produce 101 - Ggdd pretend not to know each other even tho they share an earpiece

6.4 gg only. With jc in lotus pier- More scenes in mo manor

6.6 ggdd. Wwx disrupting things at jinlintai . Gg does those weird tongue exercises

- Dark interior. Gg and XL are giggling with each other with the director beside them.

- In this scene, WWX promises to never leave Yunmeng or his family. Then gg laments that he keeps playing chars that renege on their promises. XL jokes that he's just that kind of boy.

- Gg and dd don't actually seem to interact. Gg is laughing and chatting with xl for most of these clips. And with jc

- dd with lhk in a boat while gg, jc, and xl walk along the canal

- Ggdd with DD in blue robes outside. Between takes, they start singing something. I think this is when they're singing that aerobics song

- Under a tent, dark, DD sitting next to yubin, in a striped shirt, who's getting makeup done. gg and dd are watching scenes and gg laments about how bloated he looks. this is also where dd asks if his tear was okay during the Golden Core reveal.

- Gg puts flute to DD's throat. This is the clip I've seen translated as DD asking for a kiss and gg pointing out the camera

6.8 ggdd. With jc. Jinlintai again. This time with jgy's wife. Dancing women in bg. Gg bites fan

- Under tent finger guns. Dd returns obscene gesture off camera. 👉👌

6.9 gg only with xl and jzx

- Jc appears. At one point jzx is kinda stroking jc's chest. Then everybody laughs.

6.10 DD only on battlefield with jc.

6.11 gg only. Fight with jzx in cloud recesses

- ggdd same but nope there's a lot more extras and DD is there. Big group holding gg and jzx back from each other

6.13 ggdd cold spring

- Includes gg clinging to dd

- They're sitting in the water going over the script and they keep flopping around. At one point gg stretches out in like a yoga pose with one hand down and the other stretched up and he screams in cold

- This feels really porny.

- Oh, and then DD discovers that flapping his sleeves in the water makes a lewd noise. Then it gets extra porny.
