Wrestling rant: Smackdown Spoilers

The tag team match between Drew/Shinuske vs Damian/Jimmy is not random ass. This is how it used to work all the time “back in the day”. You can only have so many weeks where two people just attack each other. So there is a tag match. Drew on one side, Damian on the other. Shinuske with Drew because he’s 1) a heel too and 2) helped beat up Damian last week. Jimmy on Damian’s side because 1) He’s a face, 2) Not the champ (LA Knight) and 3)Has declared he is after the US title which involves Shinuske.

Jesus, remember when they used to make the people feuding team up in a tag match?? Fuck, they actually made Stone Cold and The Rock tag champs at one point during their feuds.

We have a month until Wrestlemania, what do you want them to do with Drew and Damian? “I’d rather not have this feud at all.” Well fine then, but Drew isn’t at Wrestlemania without it.”

“Of course Damian looks strong tonight.” Yes Damian will probably look strong tonight. Why? Because he got beat up last week. That’s pretty much the schtick. Heel looks good. Then face looks good. If it’s just one getting the upper hand week after week, no one cares. (And I was wrong post match.)

“Damian is not over.” Because the European crowds insist of cheering heels. I’m shocked they didn’t cheer for Cena.

“Shinuske is a jobber.” My Gawd people need to learn what jobbers are. Shinuske had a match with Damian last week. He attacked him post match. Sninuske is in the US title scene where Jimmy is. Shinuske and Jimmy are gonna wrestle each other in their quest to LA Knight. (*whispers* Damian might be in that scene too.)

You can be mad Drew isn’t in the title hunt, but it’s not Damian’s fault. That doesn’t make Damian less than. You want to blame someone? Blame Cena and The Rock who decided they wanted to come back and play. You don’t think heel Drew wouldn’t be going after Cody’s title? But now he can’t because Cena decided he was free enough to come back. And more than likely he will be feuding with Cody for the entire year.
