Recount Possibility Update:
There’s some new speculation that the Harris/Walz campaign might be quietly moving towards requesting a recount despite nothing being publicly announced.
The speculation mostly comes from supporters noticing that the messaging at the bottom of Harris/Walz campaign emails and donation page has changed.
While the campaign previously simply thanked supporters at the end of its emails and donation page, it now includes a message that claims a portion of donations will now be put towards the “Harris for President’s Recount Account.”
Nothing regarding a recount has been directly announced by the Harris/Walz campaign.
NEW Campaign Fine Print:

Two screenshots.
The first is a screenshot of a portion of new fine print included on the Harris campaign donation site. It reads:
"The first $41,300/$15,000 from a person/multicandidate committee ("PAC") will be allocated to the DNC. The next $3,300/$5,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to Harris for President's Recount Account. The next $510,000/$255,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from these states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY. Any additional funds will be allocated to the DNC, subject to applicable contribution limits. A contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant by contacting [email protected]. The allocation formula above may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution."
The second is a screenshot of the WSJ article on the possibility of a recount by the Harris campaign. It reads:
"The Harris Victory Fund-a joint fundraising committee that allocates contributions to her campaign, the Democratic National Committee and to state Democratic committees- quietly updated the information on its donations page on Wednesday morning. The donation page now says that a portion of money donated to the fund will be allocated to "Harris for President's Recount Account," signaling that Kamala Harris's team is gearing up to watch the count of votes in contested states closely. "This is a razor thin race. We need your help to make sure every vote is counted," it says. The Harris campaign didn't immediately respond to a request for comment."

I am so with you on the Agatha All Along brainrot. What are some of your favorite headcanons about the show and/or Agatha and Rio's relationship?
This got very long, so apologies. I'm hiding it all under that cut and also recommending that you go read creator, you destroy me by velvetprayer if you haven't already. It more or less matches my own personal headcanon about the Agatha/Rio past, though her version of Lady Death might be a little gentler overall than I imagine her to be - although fully as angst ridden.
My winded rambling as follows:
So, I’ll preface this all by saying that I’m not really deep into Marvel lore. I only know any of it through the cinematic universe, but I can’t say I’ve ever watched the entire filmography, I did watch Loki and Wandavision, and I obviously fell in love with Agatha from that. I did a rewatch after the first episode of Agatha All Along dropped to refresh my memory, and it helped me form a headcanon for her, though there are some pretty big missing pieces that I haven’t quite worked out, mostly due to the incomplete backstory in AAA and Marvel’s general monkeying up of timelines between their television projects. (The Darkhold was an entire plotline on Agents of Shield, but WV and AAA both imply Agatha has had that book for a significantly long time.)
So before I go too deep into character headcanon, I will say that I mostly loved AAA. I think it was well written overall with so much foreshadowing and so many easter eggs that really make rewatching the episodes a joy. I appreciated the practical effects, and the song was a banger in every version. I will admit to being a little disappointed that the Road wasn’t real all along but a pocket dimension created by Billy, though I did just enough research about him to know it was one of his powers and saw the speculation about that twist being talked about, so I was expecting it by the last two episodes.
I also was disappointed with the Salem Seven being a big non event. Rio describes them in the first episode as "the worst of them," and they’ve supposedly been hunting Agatha for something like 320 years, so I expected them to be a real threat. But from what little we saw of them, beyond being creepy, they had no real bite. It felt very much like a fully powered up Agatha, especially one in possession of the Darkhold, could have easily squashed them all a century or two ago? (Again, when did she actually acquire that damned book?)
So Agatha. She’s unapologetically wicked, but I think of her as more selfishly power-hungry than outright evil. Knowledge of the craft is important to her, that was clear in her whole initial confrontation with Wanda, so she’s clearly well studied in addition to powerful. I imagine she really does think she’s more deserving of every other witch's power than they are, so why not take it?
Her one tiny line in the sand (or salt circle) seems to be not hurting children, although she really didn’t seem all that concerned with Billy or Tommy disappearing with Wanda’s powers during WV. I can only assume that was because Wanda magicked them up in the tiny span of a day or two out of nothing but her chaos magic with fake sitcom labor, so Agatha didn’t see them as real. And now that I know she had a son who she carried for (presumably) the full nine months and put in the real work for, I can kind of understand that.
WV showed her coven trying to kill her in 1693, and AAA put Nicky’s birth in 1750. That’s 57 years of wrecking havoc with her lover, Lady Death, and my own take on that is that they didn’t actually meet until after Agatha offed her coven. I’m sure Death was there for that event, and I even play with the idea that Death had been hovering around her long before that, but I don’t think she showed herself to Agatha at that point and Agatha wouldn’t have noticed her physical presence yet.
I don’t actually believe Agatha could control her siphoning powers before she killed her coven - in fact, she seemed genuinely surprised that she wasn’t dying when they blasted her and that her own power was pulling theirs into her. And her coven and Evanora sure as hell couldn’t have known she could do that, or they would have chosen another way to kill her.
And now that we know Agatha could absorb magic with her touch (kiss?), since that’s what she did with Rio in the end, I think that’s probably how her power worked before the attempted execution. In fact, I headcanon that she started siphoning Evanora’s powers during childbirth, and that’s why her mother thought she was evil and wanted to kill her at birth. I think the trauma of being born triggered baby Agatha’s magic and Evanora started growing weaker and weaker as it dragged on, and she felt her magic being leeched by the child she was birthing, but because Agatha was only a baby and not really all the powerful yet, she couldn’t draw enough to kill her mother outright, only severely weaken her.
And yes, I also imagine Lady Death was hovering in that room, waiting to see if she’d be taking Evanora Harkness or the baby, and maybe Agatha and her potential intrigued her from those first moments, so maybe she kept an interested eye on her - since Death is technically everywhere all at once.
There are so many circumstances when a young Agatha could have had her siphoning ability triggered. Like, imagine her trying to steal a treat or something and Evanora grabbing her hand away only for Agatha to start sucking up her magic through the touch. It would have made Evanora slap her away and refuse to even touch her again, and she certainly wouldn’t have ever wanted to allow Agatha to have the knowledge of how to use her power with intent. So of course young Agatha has to go looking for knowledge on her own. I don’t believe she had the Darkhold at this time, but there are certainly other tomes of dark magic she could have gotten her hands on and started reading, trying to understand what she is and why her magic works differently than the others in her coven.
Side note - siphoning through touch would only work in small doses, since once the other witch noticed it, she’d be able to push Agatha away. I mean, Agatha didn't exactly seem skilled at hand to hand combat there, so I imagine her childhood was a series of accidents or ‘accidents’ until Agatha figured out a much better way to employ her magic stealing touch. Let’s just say, I don’t think using her lips to steal Death’s power was the first time she used that trick, and I imagine the other witch might be too pleasantly distracted to realize what was happening for quite some time.
Maybe this is even the way she betrayed her coven and got put on trial. Both defiling the natural order by cavorting with other women and killing a fellow witch with her touch.
Anyway, she doesn’t figure out the much easier and, more importantly, faster way to steal power until her coven tries to kill her, but once she does, she gets very good at getting witches to blast her. (I also think this is why she told Lilia the supposed trick to her siphoning - because if she couldn't immediately provoke her, she could have tried going old school with it by latching onto her until she used her magic on her to shake her off, and then she’d get what she wanted the fast way. I mean, Lilia seemed old and frail. Agatha probably though she could take her no problem.)
So, back to past Agatha, now sans coven. She undoubtedly ends up killing more witches sooner rather than later, supposedly in self defense, after she pisses them all off enough to provoke an attack, and that finally brings Lady Death fully into her orbit. There are a number of fic writers who have already imagined the ‘meet deadly’ moment, so I won’t spend much time on that because this answer is already too long with no end in sight.  Suffice to say, they spent 57 years being gay and doing crime. Agatha got more powerful and Lady Death - Rio now in her corporeal, Agatha-loving form - got her bodies and a taste of life that she'd never had before.
I headcanon that they did (still do) love one another in their own very disturbed, ultimately unhealthy way. And I definitely think Agatha was learning so many things from Rio in relation to magic during their years together. Rio is, after all, The Green Witch, so presumably no one knows more about green craft than her. And as Lady Death, she probably knows about every magic, and Agatha would just soak in all that knowledge over their time together. She probably learned to control her siphoning abilities from Rio so there wouldn’t be any accidental draws on the ancient power that would kill her.
I also imagine Rio’s presence might have kept the Salem Seven at bay for those earlier years.  (Were they a factor during the Nicky years? Did Rio keep them at bay then too to protect her family from a distance? Why didn't they make a move in the any of the 200 years after?)
Anyway, jump skip to Agatha’s pregnancy which was doomed from conception. If we go with the thought that Nicholas was somehow created by both of them, then he carried the essence of Death inside of him and couldn’t have existed in a mortal body, doomed by his very nature. If we go with Agatha making him herself from scratch, it might have been her own inherent magic that doomed him. Maybe it was even a combination of both.
In either case, I imagine Rio warned Agatha what Fate would demand from the beginning if she carried the pregnancy to term - what she’d force Rio to do. (If Nicky is hers too, then his very existence is an abomination against the sacred balance.) But Agatha, with her severe mommy issues, was determined to go ahead with it and prove her mother wrong, because the rules of magic have always bent to her power. Death herself has bowed before Agatha - certainly she’d do the same again. Certainly, Agatha is powerful enough to bring her child into the world unharmed.
Spoiler: she is not.
But Rio does, in fact, bend the rules for her again, and grants the only thing she can - time. This is why it cuts Rio so deeply when Agatha throws all of that special treatment back in her face on the Road (that isn’t real) - why that argument de-escalates at the mention of Nicky and what really happened. Because what is more awful than the truth that Agatha had loved and been loved by Death herself and even that - even all her own power and the power she stole from other witches - couldn’t save her (their) child?
Would it ultimately have been kinder for Rio to have just taken Nicholas before he’d drawn his first breath?  Maybe. Maybe not. I don’t think there was an answer that could have saved their love at this point, but Rio did (does) love Agatha, and she went against her very nature and defied the laws she was bound by to grant her love time with her (their) son.
And we know how that part of the story plays out, though I do share the popular headcanon that Rio was lurking around for those six years that Nicholas lived, perhaps visiting him in his sleep, because he went to her without fear or hesitation in the end. She obviously has the ability to infiltrate the mind-space - she did it with the spell Agatha was trapped in.
That it happened when he was asleep - more importantly, when Agatha was asleep - is the thing that I think has fueled her anger and resentment of Rio all this time. Yeah, she was always going to hate Rio for taking him and be angry for a very long time, but Rio never gave her the chance to say that final goodbye, and that's what made it truly unforgivable. Rio probably thought it was better that way - a more peaceful death for Nicky - but Agatha could never be capable of understanding that.
So Agatha immediately embarks on centuries long rage and grief spree to gain even more power using the ballad she’d written with her son, and you’d better believe she’s gleefully using those bodies to taunt her ex along the way. That’s what we see, anyway, and there were no black fingers, so she wasn’t actively using the Darkhold for that Witch's Road con she was running. (Again, when did she find that book?)
Rio clearly implies in the first episode that it’s been a long time since they’ve seen each other and that Agatha has been using the Darkhold to hide behind - essentially hiding from Death. Did she have it for fifty years? One hundred? Two hundred?  You’d think she would have gone looking for it soon after Nicky’s death, maybe hoping it would have some spell or ritual to resurrect him. But she didn’t. Or maybe she couldn’t? Maybe Nicky, being the son of Lady Death, didn’t end up in the same place as other, purely mortal souls, so whatever spell the Darkhold contained couldn’t work to draw his soul back?
(And if anyone is interested after this long ass post, I also have a separate headcanon about Nicholas and the Afterlife that I won;t get into here.)
I haven’t fully settled on how I think the timeline of those missing years lines up. I’m leaning toward Agatha having had the Darkhold for at least a century - long enough to make it really hurt for Rio to not be able to see or sense her, left with only bodies she knows Agatha left in her wake.
Now, Rio. Lady Death.
When we first meet her, she’s inserted herself into Agatha’s crime drama spell. I don’t think she was physically there at the time but projected herself into Agatha’s consciousness, and at this point it’s been either decades or centuries since she’s been able to sense her ex. First the Darkhold hid her and then Wanda’s spell - “You live here now. No one will bother you” - and as soon as both of those are gone from the multiverse, the spell begins to break. No, I do not think Billy broke it. It was already breaking before he tried his analog magic spell. At best, he sped up Agatha’s awakening.
So Rio has been unable to confront Agatha for a very, very long time, but I believe there were confrontations before Agatha got the Darkhold and after Nicky died. I think it’s fair to assume those were violent and angry on Agatha’s side and probably sad and regretful on Rio’s. They probably hate fucked a time or two. But any mention of Nicky would have set Agatha off and sent her running, safe in her anger and hatred of Rio, so other than the blame game, I don't think they actually have a real conversation about him.
I think Rio probably tries at least once to see her and apologize and assure her that Nicky is at peace and being watched over, but that really wouldn't have be met with anything but venom.
Agatha is the only mortal Death has ever loved and who has ever loved Death, and she doesn’t know how to let go of that. And then Agatha ghosts her metaphorically before ghosting her literally.
But still, Rio is surprisingly patient with Agatha as Agnes, even though she very definitely made a beeline to Westview the moment Agatha’s aura came back on the map. When Agatha is finally free of the spell and confronts Herb, he says she’s been acting extra weird on her true crime kick for a few days. That implies she was just rolling along in the Nosy Neghbor Agnes persona prior to that, while Wanda was alive and the spell was still in full effect.
I think her change in behavior should have coincided exactly with Wanda’s death, even though it doesn’t exactly jive with ‘Ralph’ knowing Wanda was dead when Billy seeks him out. That’s one of the rare plot holes in the writing of this show. Unless he just assumed Wanda was dead since she disappeared after Westview and went into hiding.
Anyway, Rio shows up and assesses the situation her ex is in, deciding she needs to help Agatha wake up before she tears into her over the decades / centuries of ghosting her. Because what satisfaction can she get if Agatha doesn’t even remember why she hates Rio?
Billy stumbles into the situation after Rio, so his presence can only speed up what was already started.
And then Agatha is awake, and what we see in that first confrontation is an angry and hurt Lady Death wanting to strike back at the love of her (un)life for almost certainly stealing the Darkhold and using it to hide from her (and the Salem Seven and probably the Sorcerer Supreme and every other witch/witchhunter out for revenge) while likely also trying to the resurrect their dead son against the laws of the universe and upset the sacred balance.
She’s saying she wants Agatha dead - which for her would also mean Agatha would be hers forever, no way to run again - but she also clearly still just wants her back in a more willing way. This first fight is very likely flirting for them, and she does want Agatha to get her purple back. She wants them back to the way they were before Nicky. It’s impossible, of course, but after 270-ish years, she’s hoping maybe Agatha has finally processed her grief enough to forgive her.
I don’t think Billy is on Rio’s radar at this point. Maybe this is because of the sigil. Maybe it’s that William Kaplan wasn’t dead long enough to pull her to his body when Billy jumped in. Maybe it’s a combination of both.
I do think he’s on her radar the moment the Road becomes real - or at least, the chaos magic that created it is. And since Wanda is gone, that really only leaves one possibility.
Rio is definitely already in the neighborhood for poor Sharon. She clearly doesn't need the door they opened for her with the summoning spell to come and go from the Road, as she demonstrates when she tears through reality to leave it in episode 8. She does tell Agatha that it wasn't her choice since magic took the path of least resistance, but I interpret that to mean that their spell gave her an excuse to show herself to all of them and investigate what was going on.
When she’s acting as Death, she’s stoic and calm. With Agatha, she’s sad and angry and creepily playful - the humanity Agatha brings out of her on full display. With the others when she arrives on the Road - well, she’s exactly what Agatha accuses her of being - a tourist. She knows the Road wasn’t real before exactly as Agatha does, so her reaction to being there is exactly what you’d expect. She’s admiring the scenery, the vibe, and the magic that created it. She even says, “this is cool,” when she first starts walking it.
I believe she knows Teen is Billy Maximoff before the sigil breaks. She asks about him as soon as she and Agatha are alone in Alice’s trial, and Agatha immediately tries to distract her with the promise of bodies. And when he ends up hurt, Rio once again makes an exception for Agatha when she begs, “Don’t.” She could have taken him then and maybe had a chance of grabbing his soul before he reincarnated because he hadn’t fully come into his powers yet in this life. But she waits because her guilt over taking Nicky is still a tangible thing, and Billy is saved, and Rio is going to lose her chance to re-balance the scales.
She’s still hoping for Agatha’s forgiveness, and she makes her confession of Agatha being her scar, and then they share that moment in the woods. But Rio isn’t truly forgiven for Nicky, and she knows it, and she stops Agatha because she doesn’t want her misplaced gratitude for sparing Billy Maximoff.  After multiple viewings, I’m now reading - “That boy isn’t yours” - as less Rio reminding Agatha that Billy isn’t Nicholas and more warning her that Billy isn’t hers to save. He isn’t her second chance at motherhood with a powerful, magicked up son. He’s Wanda’s boy. He’s an abomination. He ultimately shouldn't exist, and his soul (and possibly William Kaplan's suppressed one) belong to Rio.
If she was going to ignore the sacred balance for anyone, it would have been Nicholas.
I’ve already posted about Rio’s reaction in Agatha’s trial. How the camera cuts to her after Evanora says she ought to have killed Agatha at birth. First we see Agatha, obviously, because it''s the confirmation that her mother has always thought her evil from birth, and the pain of that statement is twofold for her because she literally begged Death to spare her own child and then spent six years, presumably, trying to amass enough power to somehow save him. I think she believed that if she killed enough witches, if she collected enough of the kind of magic that she didn’t have - healing, protection, divination - she might one day figure out how either outrun Death or conjure more time for her son.
But right after Agatha, we see Rio with that look of pain, closing her eyes and looking away, because she nearly did with Agatha’s son - with her own son - what Evanora wanted to do. She nearly took him at birth because he wasn’t meant to exist in the living world, and then she was still forced to take him eventually. Just as Agatha hasn’t forgiven her for it, Rio has never forgiven herself for what she had to do.
And when we next see her after this episode, we see stoic Lady Death again, collecting Alice with bored indifference. Because that’s her job. Her vacation is over. The trials on this fake Road aren’t any fun anymore, and she’s done humoring Agatha with whatever con she’s trying to run this time. Because she knows Agatha could have ended all of this before it started if she’d admitted the Road was never real and Billy created it.
Billy has come into his powers at this point, and Rio’s likely pissed at herself for letting her chance to collect him slip away thanks to her eternal soft spot for Agatha. Once again, she’s given special treatment and risked upsetting the balance for this woman.  And on top of that, Lilia easily took out the Salem Seven - bad ass of Lilla but so anticlimactic for whatever threat the Salem Seven were intended to be - so Rio's chance of finally getting Agatha over to the other side just took a nosedive. She’s not allowed to do it herself, and I’m not sure she’s yet at the point where she really wants to torture Agatha into begging her for release. If Agatha manages to finish the Road and actually gets her purple back, Rio will be chasing after her again for another century or two.
She’s close to the end of her patience with her ex at this point. Poor Nicky is never going to see her (other) mother again.
And then Agatha offers to deliver Billy to her, which I think Rio realizes is bullshit. I don’t think she really believes that Agatha intends to follow through without a trick, and even if she did, she doesn't believe Agatha will actually be able to convince Billy to give himself over to Death. But Rio plays along, wondering what Agatha wants from her this time. Maybe she even thinks Agatha will want to trade him for Nicky - one abomination for another. Maybe Rio actually hopes it would be this because it would give her a loophole to finally say yes. Maybe the prophesied demiurge would be more than an equal trade for the son of Death alive in the world again.
And incidentally, I do find it hilarious that Agatha’s condition is for Rio to stop following her - like, you’ve spent 300 years killing witches. It’s impossible for Death to do anything else but follow you.  But it’s the part about not wanting to see her face when Agatha eventually does die that finally breaks Rio. I mean, that was basically the whole point of wanting Agatha dead now - a way for them to be together with their son.
It guts Rio, and you can see it in her expression.
And I believe Agatha fully expected her to refuse - to tell her that it wasn’t possible. All roads lead to (Lady) Death, after all. She’s the inevtiable end of all things, and she hates ghosts. There’s no way for Agatha to avoid her. The best she could do is greet her in her true form and let Rio Vidal die.
But for Rio, this isn’t just a rejection of her. It’s also a rejection of everything about their shared past. A rejection of Nicholas. If Rio can’t take her soul to the Afterlife, then she can’t take her to Nicholas either. Is Agatha really that much of a coward? (The answer, of course, is yes.) So she reluctantly agrees, heartbroken, but she also expects that Agatha won’t be able to keep her end of that deal, so she won’t need to keep hers.
It’s kind of a stalemate where they both think - shit, what the fuck did I just agree to?
It’s ironic really. To some degree, I think Agatha finally comes to some acceptance of Nicky’s death in that final trial. "Sometimes, boys die." "From death, life."
At the same time, this is when Rio fully snaps. She’s stewing over this whole Witches Road deal and Agatha's final rejection, and frankly, fully aware that Agatha just helped Billy create another abomination, messing even more with the rightful balance of things.
Yeah, Rio has been angry with Agatha, but also guilty and hurt and lovesick, so it’s tempered her somewhat. She’s been the antagonistic kind of angry where Agatha could easily assuage her, but now, with Agatha’s last rejection of everything about their shared past and helping that kid disrupt her domain even more, she embraces her rage in a way she hasn’t allowed herself up to this point. The human emotions that Agatha sparked in Rio take over all her reason and balance and duty, and she lashes out.  The rejected lover, finally allowed to indulge the anger and grief that Agatha spent two centuries indulging with her own rampage.
I know we didn’t get to see the magical battle due to budget restraints, and honestly, I’m only a little disappointed by that. The Wanda/Agatha one wasn’t exactly spectacular with the boring energy blasts. But we get enough of it to see that Rio never hits Agatha with her full power. She isn’t trying to kill her here; she only wants to hurt her - vent her own rage and heartbreak. They’re even back to their weird kind of flirting halfway through it, but then Billy gets involved again, and oh yeah, the kid is still here. Something has to be done about him, because Rio can’t ignore her duty forever, and Agatha knows she can’t defeat Death.
So finally, we get that moment, when Agatha looks like she’s getting what she wanted and Billy is willingly surrendering himself, and she could walk away with a nice charge from his power and the promise to never have to see Rio again.
It’s my understanding that Billy’s mental plea wasn’t originally in the script, and I actually wish they’d left it out. I don’t actually think that his mention of Nicky in that moment would have changed her mind anyway. I think it would have probably had the opposite effect since she’s always reacted badly to the mention of him except when Rio brought him up in that last conversation on the Road.
But, in the context we got, that isn’t how Nicky died. He’d been stolen away in the night after Rio had granted him six more years than he should have ever had. Agatha would have never traded his life for hers. She would have traded hers for him in a heartbeat.  So yeah, I get why that was added, but I don’t fully think it was necessary. Agatha was always going to realize that leaving Billy with Rio was the wrong thing, and she was crossing the one meager moral line she had - hurting children. And this one, specifically, reminds her too much of her lost son.
She puts a hand to her chest before she turns, right where we know her broach always sat. I’ve watched that scene a few times, and I noticed that we can’t see her broach on her costume for maybe the only time since she broke out of Wanda’s spell. But it’s obviously there somewhere because it’s the one thing left behind when Rio speed runs her decomposition - yet another bit of special treatment in allowing it to remain as a means of tying her spirit to the mortal realm.
And yeah, like Agatha said, it was a calculated risk. I don’t think Rio has ever outright lied to her or broken a deal, and Agatha technically upheld her end of their bargain but also very much didn’t, but Rio does slightly change the terms of the bargain before that last battle, such as it is. She gives them both the choice - “One of you is coming with me.”
And yet, she hesitates to take Billy as soon as he offers himself. Because taking him means losing Agatha forever, and despite her anger, she isn’t fully ready to do that. In the end, her hesitation gives Agatha the time to change the terms. She gives Rio what she’s claimed to want from the beginning - Agatha’s death.
Agatha gives herself to Rio in a way that speaks of both acceptance and forgiveness. And maybe, it’s also forcing the bargain that Rio never gave her the chance to make for Nicky. Her life for his.
And Rio keeps their bargain about seeing her face again anyway, because I think she knows that she’s finally been forgiven, but Agatha still isn’t ready to face Nicky. She doesn’t collect Agatha’s soul and even allows that broach to stay behind for Billy to take. I think Rio knows full well she just allowed Agatha to remain as a ghost, but she lets her go. She finally lets Agatha go and lets herself grieve their lost love.
She lets Rio Vidal die with Agatha and reclaims her eternal role as Lady Death.
And now her sacred balance is shot to hell, because she’s got not one, but two, abominations roaming around in bodies that don’t belong to them, and one stubborn, ornery ghost who she knows damn well is going to meddle in all of that chaos magic.
And, I think, she also hopes that maybe one day, Agatha will be ready to cross over and see Nicholas again - maybe even see her again - but, it’s all in Agatha’s power now.
Like Rio said in the very first episode - “If you want to be in control, you can be.”  And it speaks volumes that Rio has honored that at every turn.
Now she just has to explain to Nicholas how she let his mama slip through her fingers again and stick around to mentor that Maximoff boy.

Taekook weren’t in Busan before the Busan concert though, atleast not when the person who said they saw them there said because the members did film run bts dance practice vid on the 12th and after the filming Hobi posted a video of Jimin after the practice while he was going for his birthday Live just a few minutes b4 midnight so there’s no way taekook were in Busan then because they were all in seoul together that night and all travelled to Busan together after Jimin’s birthday Live and arrived on Jimin’s birthday. Just thought I should correct this. Everyone believed that person who said they saw them but they lied because unless taekook could fly at the same time they couldn’t possibly be in Busan that night.
I am all for correcting misinformation, and I try when I see it and have gotten blocked by a lot of Taekookers for it. 😁 But I honestly never gave a second thought to the stadium sighting. For me it was always about them on the beach (which was days later). The stadium sighting I would just assume was something work related, and it seems there is and has always been debate about whether they were there earlier or not. That's one of those taken with a grain of salt fan accounts that I never put any weight on anyway. I'll include some links though so people can do with the information whatever they want. I personally will invest the time to cross reference everything available to come to my own conclusion on things. Compilation of receipts for the beach sighting on Kayla's TK Timeline Information about the *rumored* sighting outside the stadium on Kayla's TK Timeline
Here's a tweet from October 14th talking about the stadium sighting.
A comment underneath it mentions they thought it was weird that Jungkook's post for Jimin that day looks like it was filmed in a hotel Here's Jungkook's post
According to my time, that post is between 4am and 5am in SK on the 13th. But then "filmed in a hotel" seems like pure speculation, and would have been at the time the comment I linked above was made.
Here's the WV live from their Busan hotel on October 15th
It does appear that is the same place Jungkook shot his video.
Comparison.
Again though that particular sighting does not mean anything to me. I would not stretch the narrative to be about a vacation when it would have only been a few hours difference, and them being at the stadium would be work related to me anyway. I'm used to not being on the same page as a lot of Taekooker's on some of these things. But I think the vast majority of Taekookers focus on the beach sighting (which itself is just something cute) and not the stadium. I honestly never see anyone talking about that part, and it's kind of weird to put the beach pics next to a post about that when they're days apart and unrelated.

October 9 2024 2009
With 30 seconds remaining, WV rushes to gather everything they appearified into the gutted pumpkin with Serenity interjecting on the silliness of the actions. One of the cans of Tab that just wont cooperate gets thrown to the otherside of the room and lands on the right green button finally giving us current date and location of the bunker. Before we look at that lets carry on with the animation.
WV goes over to pick up the pumpkin top, ruler and knife, attaching the latter two together. Just to make sure its secure, WV practices some moves and laughs in victory. Which I just noticed is a thing they do a lot and I think thats endearing. WV tries placing the pumpkin parts back together but the amount of cans is too much for the lid, which flies off and is eaten by WV presumably to avoid leaving anything useful. Instead they use a pipe and cable to make a bindle and start ascending the ladder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only to promptly fall back under the weight of the items. The countdown is over but for now WV seems ok.
Tumblr media
Alright now that thats done lets go back to the coordinates.
Tumblr media
Lat: 44.5157677
Long: -74.821422
Elevation: 341.3 (just noticed this has a 413 ref in it. incidental but hilarious)
Date: 4/13/2422 at 4:14:54 PM
WV is four hundred and thirteen years in the future. 413. This number haunts us at every turn.
Tumblr media
In other news, *ding ding ding* we have a winner! @homestuckreplay in this post speculated the bunker to be at one of our characters houses, specifically Rose's who is potentially near the Racquette River in St. Lawrence County, New York. While not confirmed, I took the liberty of switching to satellite view to bring you these pictures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you look closely at that second picture once I flip it around it looks kinda familiar, no? Now, I did street view it best I could and its definitely not a house but the similarities are there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now we just wait and see what that countdown was leading to.

CG: AND IF THIS WASN'T BAD ENOUGH CG: YOUR "SOLUTION" LATER WOULD BE TO OPEN A RIFT IN SOME GLORIOUS GESTURE OF MEANINGLESS SUICIDE.
Karkat seems convinced that the Scratch is suicide - but this is an early Karkat, who doesn't really understand the situation. The Rift is the last thing he can see, so he assumes it's the end of the line.
Tumblr media
White Carapacian jumpscare!
The last time we saw the Exiles, WV had just revealed the White Queen's Ring - which means that, unless I am very much mistaken, a new god is about to be born.
The critical question, of course, is whether a pseudo-First Guardian can teleport in and out of the Medium. If so, Jack's reign of terror is about to be interrupted, and we're about to learn why he doesn't instantly kill the Players - he'll be distracted by a rival.
EB: so, she prototyped becquerel? EB: why is that so bad? [...] CG: HER LUSUS EXHIBITS THE PROPERTIES OF A LEGENDARY ENTITY CALLED A FIRST GUARDIAN. CG: IT IS AN ABSOLUTE MONSTROSITY.
But he was a good dog. Jack, decidedly, is not.
It's worth speculating about what other effects Becquerel's prototyping will have. Jack is obviously the most immediate consequence, but Bec isn't just in Jack - he's everywhere. He suffuses the session.
Even Underlings will contain some First Guardian energy. They can't have Bec's full range of abilities, the same way Sgrub's Underlings couldn't unleash the Vast Glub - but I'm sure they're still grossly overpowered. Even if Jack wasn't a factor, the game would still be on Nightmare difficulty.
Tumblr media
And what of the Battlefield? What effect will the Green Sun's rays have on its appearance, or the world it's supposed to spawn?
This feels like an ingredient that absolutely should not be part of your universe - and if First Guardian energy has made its way into The Tumor, we might have an even bigger problem on our hands than Perfect Jack.
Tumblr media
Every station knows what's going to happen to it - so, naturally, this one has an 'undo getting blown up by Becsprite' button.
If only the Earth had one of these...
CG: AS THE DEFENDERS OF THEIR PLANETS, THEY'RE VIRTUALLY OMNIPOTENT. CG: PROTOTYPING ONE IS ABSOLUTELY UNCONSCIONABLE.
There's that misaimed 'omnipotent' again. I guess it doesn't really matter if it's technically not accurate - as far as an average Player is concerned, First Guardians may as well be omnipotent.
...although, Jack isn't really a First Guardian, is he? He's just wearing a ring that lets him exhibit the traits of one. I doubt he's as powerful as Bec, and his connection to the Green Sun might not be as strong - which is, I think, why Rose believes she can use it against him somehow.

radiation poisoning from my libertarian grandpa :(
(page 779-791)
Tumblr media
A few days of updates here! I was kinda mad about the Fruit Update on the 18th. I like captchalogue mechanics, it’s fun to see how all the different modi work and the different situations characters can get into when the modi go wrong. But a five page update of just picking up fruit was too much for me. I simply could not find an interesting thing to say about that.
But now we’ve seen more of Jade’s house, and it’s… a lot. Her atrium having four wings might be relevant later, but doesn’t mean much yet – same with the beautiful pink and yellow clouds outside. Her real instrument looks like a bass guitar (due to its four strings). A trend I noticed before of the kids’ rooms getting messier and houses and lives getting weirder with each successive introduction definitely peaks here. Jade’s room is littered with plushies, plants, guns and uranium, and her grandfather might be the strangest of the four guardians, stranger than a business clown, a ventriloquist rapper, or a woman who builds a cat mausoleum with a secret passage.
Jade’s grandfather is a ‘WORLD RENOWNED EXPLORER-NATURALIST-TREASURE HUNTER-ARCHEOLOGIST-SCIENTIST-ADVENTURER-BIG GAME HUNTER-BILLIONAIRE EXTRAORDINAIRE’ (p.790) which doesn’t paint a great picture to me. That description suggests a man whose quest for personal glory eclipses any regard for other cultures, the environment, health and safety guidelines, or anyone ‘weaker’ than he is. He probably ‘discovered’ the frog statue island we see in WV: Ascend and took it as a trophy, raising his family there even if that’s not the best thing for the island ecosystem or his granddaughter’s life and health.
Jade’s bed and her two closets (below and inside her room) are all topped with strange reddish orbs on spires. It could be coincidence – there’s only so many shapes – but they remind me of the orb spires the kernelsprites land in after hatching (p.424), and as such, could have some connection to her strange powers. Jade’s other contraptions, gadgets and gizmos are a mystery to me – I know the window is a Problem Sleuth reference, but for the photoshopped in devices, I can barely begin to speculate. I do think that given the sciences of appearification, transportalization, alchemy, sylladices and strife specibi, these probably don’t have the same in-universe applications as their real world references. Physics simply works differently in the world of Homestuck, and I’m trying to make fewer assumptions about the world’s fundamentals (beyond gravity, which we’ve witnessed often).
Jade has been so associated with prognostication and esoteric knowledge that finding out she is also a nuclear physicist, a very different type of knowledge, was such a moment of characterization whiplash that puts her at both extremes of the science-religion dichotomy.
The uranium nuggets in Jade’s room, and recurring atomic symbol on her contraptions matching the bunker’s fuel gauge, are more connections between her and WV. But her room contains nods to all her friends, too. Her Slimer poster and magic chest are obvious John references. Her Squiddles poster and plushes are something Rose likes enough to put on a shirt, really hurting her dark eldritch aesthetic, and the anthropomorphic Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff art is signed TO: GG FROM: TG (he even drew his stupid record symbol). Worse, the Manthro Chaps Jade collects are definitely part of the Smuppets line of products; their design is so similar.
A becquerel is the standard unit of radioactive decay per second, and luckily for Jade, one becquerel is not harmful to human health – in fact, human bodies are constantly undergoing several thousand Bq of radioactive decay (even the skeleton has its own radioactive isotopes). I wonder if this is Jade’s cute name for her pet because she loves science, or if this creature has been mutated by Jade or her grandfather’s experimentation, and got the name that way. It could explain why Dave calls Bec a ‘devilbeast’ (p.382) and thinks he should be shot. (Seeing Jade’s gun collection also makes this line feel way too real).
JADE SHIRT DESIGNS TALLY: Atom, Leaf, Pumpkin, Slimer, Spirograph, Squiddle, Creature
> Jade: Engineer a glass case for your URANIUM and store it outside.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/comments/1fjy0oc/breakup_rumors_spark_between_austin_butler_and/
Another post speculating about a breakup. Someone commented they saw them in the west village two weeks ago but that was when it was K's bday in LA so that's probably not accurate. I think if they broke up it was anyways not long ago, maybe when she posted that "dear dickhead" bs. I'm curious to see how things unfold, cause now the DM didn't even mention Austin in their new article, and her mom was with her at that book event.
Naw there is no way they were seen in WV two weeks ago, that can’t be right .
That’s the second time DM hasn’t mentioned Austin in an article. Which is odd . I figured if they wanted to do any kind of damage control they would at least mention him to keep the rumors at bay

hi, what do you think about the witches road now, knowing that Billy created the witches road and does it exist is a real witches road at all
I don’t care about what happens in the M C U and have little interest in speculation. As far as Agatha All Along is concerned, I think it’s very clear that the myth of the Road was just an elaborate con on Agatha’s part, and that what we see on the show is a manifestation of Billy’s power, similar to the altered reality that Wanda conjured in WV. There’s nothing else to it.
The depiction of the Witches’s Road is entirely different in the source material. I’ve written about it multiple times, and I gave an explanation which you can read here.

Was talking to bestie about this. This week's AAA episode really highlighted everything that sucked about the episode with Agatha's trial. Both episodes were roughly half an hour, but Lilia's was incredibly thought-through and satisfying. It answered a LOT of questions and made narrative sense in its placement in time--and it was for a supporting character. Meanwhile: Agatha is the main character of the show, and her trial was so dissatisfying. It was tonally inconsistent. It didn't do a good job of blending humor and comedy. It also gave us net 0 information. We had already figured out about Nick Scratch. They had already given us his name and made his parentage clear; they literally showed Agatha looking into a child's empty bedroom. Whereas the Rio = Death reveal had been hinted but never stated aloud. We also already knew from WV that Agatha's mother hated her and thought she was born evil, they were just rehashing old information. Additionally, the further along in the timeline the trials are, the more significant their narrative heft--and the last witch likely to receive a trial will probably be Billy, given the hints that the next trial will be Rio's. Which just goes to show that despite some good intentions here and there, he is really understood and treated as the center of the story, rather than Agatha. It's also just honestly offensive to follow up the main character's huge emotional episode--which nobody seems to have really liked or vibed with to the point of speculation after it aired that it was a fake trial--with two episodes that clearly show an earnest desire to explore and showcase two supporting characters and their respective actors. Like why couldn't Agatha get that treatment? Her name is literally in the title.
What I am guessing is that they are saving all depths and revelations for the finale, when we'll have Nick Scratch's story told and likely when Agatha will sacrifice herself, fight Rio, or otherwise do something to save Billy (whose story it's secretly been this whole time, due to Marvel's compulsive need to center men and to use one show to lead into the next). They couldn't do more in her trial because they had to keep all these "secrets" close to the vest, with the result that their literal main character came off as shitty and underdeveloped. Womp womp. I want some payoff for the Darkhold in the bassinet hallucination, not yet another scene of Agatha's mom being mean and Agatha pretending to be tough but crying about it--which we already saw literal years ago in WV! Literal years. Come on people

Unveiling the Mystery: The Weeping Woman Grave in Parkersburg, WV
In the heart of Parkersburg, West Virginia, lies a grave shrouded in mystery and surrounded by tales of sorrow – the Weeping Woman Grave. This enigmatic burial site has captured the imagination of locals and visitors alike, leaving them intrigued by its haunting presence and the stories that surround it.
The Weeping Woman Grave is located in a quiet corner of a historic cemetery, its weathered tombstone bearing the name of Mary Jane, a woman who is said to have lived in the 19th century. The legend goes that Mary Jane's life was marked by tragedy, and her spirit is believed to linger in the cemetery, perpetually weeping for her lost loved ones.
Many variations of the tale exist, but the common thread is one of heartbreak and loss. Some say Mary Jane lost her children, while others believe she mourned the untimely death of her husband. The specifics may vary, but the underlying theme is a life marked by grief, eternally embodied by the sorrowful figure on the gravestone.
Tumblr media
Visitors to the Weeping Woman Grave often report experiencing an eerie presence, especially during twilight hours. Some claim to have heard faint sobbing or seen the silhouette of a woman dressed in mourning attire near the grave. Skeptics attribute these experiences to the power of suggestion, while believers insist that Mary Jane's spirit continues to weep for her lost happiness.
Local folklore has woven a tapestry of ghost stories around the Weeping Woman Grave, adding to the allure of this quiet resting place. Some paranormal enthusiasts visit the site armed with cameras and audio recording devices, hoping to capture evidence of supernatural activity. Whether these encounters are purely psychological or a genuine connection with the otherworldly, the stories persist, contributing to the mystique of Mary Jane's grave.
Despite the speculation and tales that surround the Weeping Woman Grave, it remains an integral part of Parkersburg's local lore. The cemetery itself is a historical gem, with ornate tombstones and a serene atmosphere that invites contemplation. Whether one is a believer in the supernatural or a skeptic, the Weeping Woman Grave stands as a testament to the power of storytelling and the enduring fascination with the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of our everyday lives.
In the quiet corners of Parkersburg, the Weeping Woman Grave invites visitors to ponder the fragility of life, the weight of grief, and the enduring power of myth. It serves as a reminder that, even in death, the stories of those who came before us continue to capture our imaginations and connect us to the rich tapestry of history that defines our communities.

hiya🩵 i was confused waking up today too but both the previous responses to ur question seemed kinda biased in either direction and i want to try and level them out if i can, feel free to ignore this though.
the truth is that we don’t know how much of it he watched/what he thought about it because he never said those things. komi can’t communicate was his actual recommendation on the list he gave in the live, not the one that people are angry over, but he did still say he had/was watching it.
at the end of the day people are gonna speculate and insist one way or another that he did or didn’t watch and enjoy the problematic parts, but there’s no way to know without him saying so, at which point it comes down to a trust thing. this probably won’t get addressed, at least not immediately, seeing as the members seem to be doing some damage control by all posting on wv and ig today but that could be a coincidence. the live happened last year and it’s probable that no one took notice because i think the anime was quite popular at the time, but simultaneously people who don’t watch anime probably didn’t know enough about it to comment. it’s coming up now because an article posted online identifying some idols/celebrities who recommended the anime (woozi was among them) gained some traction on twitter and the masses jumped on it. hope that helps some — try and do some looking into it if you can or want to but just know many sources are very biased right now either in favour of or against the cancelling.
ultimately, though, keep yourself safe and don’t expose yourself to discourse you aren’t ready for. the anime does have some very messed up themes and scenes and those are being widely discussed without trigger warnings and you don’t need to put yourself through hell to form an opinion on something that we hardly know anything about. x
you're a life saver, thank you so much for explaining.
I don't want to cancel anyone nor do I want to defend them, I guess we just have to wait for a statement??? if there will ever be one.
I don't think I'll be looking into it though, because as you said - everyone are very biased now, I think I'll just stay on the, um, neutral ground? and see what happens.
I just think it's very sad how people immediately jump into conclusions - both for accusing and canceling them and defending them, instead of just waiting for how this will be resolved.

100 Palette Challenge // Palette #23 // Picturesque Point Pleasant
Today's color palette comes from a "Picture-Play Magazine" cover from April 1922.
Tumblr media
This poster actually came together pretty quickly! Or at least it felt quick. Honestly it felt like the longest part was looking up photos of Point Pleasant to reference (mostly because I was originally trying to not use the bridge, but you know, the palette limits me on options).
Oh but it came together even more quickly the SECOND time. Because I had to DRAW IT TWICE. Because normally when I create a new file for these posters, I set the unit of measurement to inches because it's easier to remember 11 x 17 inches than 585884239 pixels or whatever. But THIS time, I apparently accidentally set the unit to CENTIMETERS and I didn't notice until I went to resize it to post here! ┻━┻ ︵ \( °□° )/ ︵ ┻━┻
So anyway this is the SECOND poster. But that's okay, I was able to fix some of the things I didn't like about the original version and some of the tiny mistakes.
BUT YEAH, Point Pleasant, WV is the home of Mothman, probably the most popular cryptid in Cryptid Fandom. Nevertheless, I'm sure there's plenty of folks who aren't familiar, so here's a quick overview.
The first published Mothman sighting was in November of 1966 when two young married couples were chased around the backroads of Point Pleasant by what they described as a large winged man with muscular legs, no arms or head, and glowing red eyes. You can read more about that in my post about Mothman on the Shapeshifters tumblr, Like most cryptids, no one can quite agree on what Mothman is, even among the believers. There's speculation about it being a demon, due to its connection to the Silver Bridge collapse exactly 13 months to the day after the November '66 sighting. Others think it was trying to warn people about it, like John Keel who wrote the book The Mothman Prophesies that the later Richard Gere movie was based on. Though Keel also theorizes that Mothman is an alien, but also that aliens aren't from space, but from Earth and, at least when he originally wrote the book in 1975, spoke in a very condescending tone of anyone who still thought aliens were from space.
Personally, I'd never heard of Mothman until the Gere movie, which I went to see with my mom. She wasn't super interested in cryptids, but she has always been a fan of Richard Gere and absolutely loved those paranormal thrillers filmed like psychological thrillers that were so popular in the early 2000's. I've loved Mothman ever since and, I suppose since that was my introduction to him, I definitely fall on the side of him trying to warn people about the bridge collapse. And because of that he shares a place in my heart with Giles Corey, the only man tried and executed for witchcraft during the Salem with trials, whose ghost is also said to appear before great disasters in the graveyard where he was pressed to death .
I think I've come a long way from my very first cryptid poster. I don't know if this one is necessarily any better, per se, than the Jersey Devil poster, but the techniques are settling into my brain and muscle memory.
This poster is part of @shapeshiftersvt's Cryptid Collection. If you like it, prints will be up on the Shapeshifters website sometime this week (probably tomorrow). I'll reblog this post when they are.

Sunk cost fallacy dictates that my brain recognizes 4/13... I think the thing that frustrates me the most about Homestuck is that there was a lot of really cool stuff but the execution (especially towards the end) left a lot to be desired. A lot of people try to sound super scholarly about it but honestly everything good and bad about it was pretty simple.
Good stuff
Incredible music/animations
Speedy and regular updates
Central fan hub (the forums)
Said forums allowed user participation in the comic
Internet/game meta humor
Lots of memeable stuff
Funny, yet plot-driven
Wide berth of unique characters (you're pretty much guaranteed to find a handful that you like)
Potent shipping (especially given the unique "quadrants")
Interesting and unique hook ("the game I got for my birthday started the apocalypse"*)
*(technically the apocalypse was going to happen anyways but you don't know that at the time)
Lots of elements that inspire fan speculation/creation (ex. aspects, god powers, etc.)
Bad stuff
Overcomplication of the plot
Even if it's pointed out as a joke, needing multiple recaps just to be able to comprehend what's going on is not a great sign
The story loses its throughline ("let's play a game with my friends to save the world"). Hussie stated that the stakes were always intended to zoom out once the scale of what was happening was established (it goes from playing a game to birthing a universe) but the plot clutter made it difficult to reestablish a feeling of cohesiveness
Far too many characters towards the end. Having lots of characters makes it fun and engaging for fans... but having too many makes the story cluttered
This also guarantees fan disappointment: there's a good chance that one of your favorite characters was never given enough screentime/chances to develop
Walls upon walls of text
^Which is much less daunting if you're catching live updates with your friends on the forums every other day... but new readers are left trying to consume and digest all of this information alone and at once
Overall I think a lot of people found it cool but were frustrated that being convoluted and bloated made it miss the mark on sticking the landing. Even so... after thinking about it (especially in its internet flash page glory) I always find myself sighing wistfully about it. There was a lot that was so much fun. I still remember what it felt like watching WV: Ascend for the first time...

last night was a blast! read through the last legs of act 5 oart 2 and started plowing through everything so now im... somewhere after act 6 intermission 1. as usual some thoughts :
-cascade. holy fucking shit CASCADE. i thought the doc scratch panels bit was cool so this blew my fucking tits off (alas it grew back) but i have no idea what the fcuk is going on. i do not have the fandom to help me speculatE. ARGGHHHHH. even everymanhybrid is more digestible than homestuck and thats saying something!!!
but i'll try to parse things. one at a time.
-EVERYONE WENT GOD MODE??
Tumblr media
okay okay so. the plan is,
1) john to retrieve the tumor which would blow up the sun
2) so dave would pilot the course and sent it to the green sun and blow it up. this is the plan rose cooked up after consulted doc scratch and the horrorterrors. wait why would they do that? If they want to kill jack they could just use the scratch right?
4) oh wait i remember. The scratch is to reset the universe. The tumor is to act as a homing beacon for the kids to meet up and plan whats next. also jack was kind of omnipotent so the scratch might not even be enough.
5) meanwhile the tumor was prepared, the scratch, found in dave's lava planet, is meant to be scratched by either john or dave using rose's knitting needles
6) meanwhile jade is doing genesis frog breeding, and she consulted with her denizen after a discussion with kanaya. and she found out something that could have been a reason why their universe is so messed up. jade was also given a tip from her denizen echidna of a way to leave the scratched universe and stay alive, but on the condition that her and her planets are brought along.
7) after this is revealed, karkat wails in regret after realizing that he unknowingly gave cancer to the universe. gamzee who have somehow become corrupted claims that it was his doing that sabotaged karkat and kanaya's frog breeding to a dave in the past
8) while jade is juggling the responsibility of trying to do frog breeding even as the end of the world is approaching + trying to save the denizens and their people + keeping bec noir under control, she gets murdered by one of the exiles john sent to give the tumor over a misunderstanding
9) while all of that is happening, the great terezi and vriska showdown happens, and karkat singlehandedly pacified a rampaging gamzee by pats and kisses like its an episode of gumball and darwin. they are now moirails that are off the rails. a knocked out sollux is too busy talking with aradia over the dream bubbles. because a gemini's special Like That™ (GEMINIS REPRESENT)
10) current surviving troll count : terezi, karkat, gamzee, kanaya, sollux, aradia. sollux dies to pilot their hideout to the green sun so theyd get a head start to go to the new session
11) anyway, back to the beta kids. jade is dying. an angry bec noir flies her over so she could die in her quest bed. using the time capsule, an angry bec traveled to the exile's future timeline and killed everyone. he also uses his omnipotence as a first guardian to spread the cancer on the universe, the red miles, causing its destruction. he donuted my boy WV. and so to avenge everyone and defend herself, PM becomes the new white queen and she gets bec noir's powers too.
12) while jade is taking her time dying from the stab wound, the derse kids got the tumor and is trying to pilot it to the green sun on a suicide mission. dave was supposed to do it, but rose knocked him out so she could do it alone. yet he still followed her, and they both end up on the same ship and found their quest bed, and the realization of their imminent death finally sinks in.
13) as the universe is imploding on itself, they found out a strange machine. The machine shows two universes, the left out remains of alternia and earth. apparently it all has been a trick all along from doc scratch. The tumor, piloted to a course between universes because its heading to the green sun, caused the destruction of the two universes and subsequently, the death of rose and dave. But it does not destroy the sun. So, the trolls arrived at a not exploding sun, and both the derse kids went god tier.
14) meanwhile, before dave and rose's epic showdown, jade went god mode too, fuses with her sprite, and found out a way to escape the doomed universe to the new session. her new powers of omnipotence made her capable of saving all of the planets and its denizens and brought them along with her on the ride to the new session. she brought john along as well, after he fully completes the scratch
15) so. the gang, they finally met up. sort of. theyre heading to the new session and it would took them three years to arrive. dead sollux decides to go back to his dead friends in the dream bubble. aradia, as the maid of time, has some shit to do so she had to leave as well. wv is dying but there might be a way to save him (THANK GOD) rose and kanaya continued making heart eyes at each other but this time its even worse since they do it in person. karkat suffers out of his own hubris and wishes he was dead.
16) with the universe reset and destroyed, it brings the arrival of lord english from doc scratch's corpse. so, there is no guarantee this new universe is safe since a demon presides in it. The gang plans to arrive in the new session and defeat lord english in person.
Is that it? Is that all? There was a lot of information and it was pretty hard to follow. If im not distracted by the art im distracted by the music. For real the music is very very good. Its crazy that homestuck starts out from silly chiptune music and evolves into epic bangers like cascade. And the art, my god. they all look so anime. the faces are beautifully expressive. i love how everyone's clothes design gets an upgrade and even more details in that style. its appropriate for the gravity of the situation. also shout out for the backgrounds. i always loved the hyperrealistic images but the strategic lighting on this one is great.
and i understand why the fandom are insane about them. like, my current type nowadays is old and weird looking guys but i just knew teen me would have realized he's bisexual much earlier if she sees anime karkat and kanaya's cascade design at the tender age of thirteen.
-ANYWAY. Holy fucking shit! can we talk about jade? I dont care. WE'LL TALK ABOUT JADE. i knew she had the potential man. i knew it. she literally kickstarted the rescue mission of the citizens and save john and helped diagnose the problem of their universe and- SHE'S AWESOME. SHE'S THE BEST!!! she's so op and amazing and im taking her to those super expensive haagen daz ice cream because she's powerful and she cares about the citizens on the planets just as she cares for her friends and she stays positive despite the trolls badgering. i hope she had a great three years befriending everyone and catching up on stuff with davesprite and john :) she's the coolest
-also, wow. must have been weird being davesprite. you spent three months with your half sister trying to do the impossible, went back in time to see everything kickstarted to fruition while you get sidelined after doing the epic duel of all time with your brother against an omnipotent assasin. you saw him die, and then youre just kinda there chilling and giving tips for alpha dave and occasionally consoling jadesprite. and then she disappears, and you see her save everyone's ass while youre just sitting there and now you didnt get to die. you are going to spend three years becoming well acquainted to approximately a million people + jade and john. also your alt self went god mode but somehow you didnt fuse with him.
-and speaking of doc scratch. jeez. the reveal that the virus from the troll pov chapters is the one that bring lord english in is fuckin insane. we already know he and his lackey doc scratch was subtly manipulating all of the trolls from either direct manipulation of subconcious dream fuckuppery. the reveal that a karkat suffers gag was actually a doc scratch plot and the transformation of his dead body. FUCK.
yknow, his thing with little girls. i really thought it was one of those fucked up shit that are glossed over that hussie does, like the slurs. there is this phenomenon in media of chivalrous pervert whose sexual harrasment are played off as gags or not too important to his standing as a person because in the end they actually respects woman in a way that matters or do a lot of good. i see this a lot in ecchi anime and modern edgy sf lit. and personally i find it fucking stupid and unrealistic. why is every single black and grey morality hard sf stories had to make their token evil teammate a sexual abuser like COME THE FUCK ON. there are better crimes to use that will lead your fandom to less discourse and less out and proud misogynists. so i guess it suprises me that doc scratch's weird thing with little girls arent played as just a joke and his "helpful tips" are actually his way to manipulate the kids while toying with them. its a pleasant surprise i suppose?
i do feel bad for aradia's ancestors though. her life must be rough. did she really die getting murdered by feferi's ancestor? or is she somewhere else right now? the trolls ancestors are reallly fucking me up. but mostly karkat. he really is troll jesus! He's the father, son, and the holy spirit all at once. what the fuck-
-and now, lets go to the new session. jake, roxy, dirk, and jane. we're off to a great start with this au. okay maybe i should stop here and continue on another post. LOL.

WV: Use sharp teeth to poke a hole in the lid of the can.
Your teeth are useless for the task! They are blunt like that of livestock, presumably suitable for mashing up plant matter, and not for puncturing metal.
Author commentary: Learnin' about exile anatomy. Nothing about this is ever explicit, but there are some points to speculate on. He's got the dull livestock teeth, whereas higher ranking agents of a more predatorial nature like Jack have very sharp teeth. Would it make sense for the more populous classes, soldiers, workers, farmers, to be herbivorous, while the higher-ups are carnivorous? Let your imagination guide you in your quest for answers.
