When I first read your message, I was completely speechless for a minute or two, anon.

Firstly, it seems there’s a misconception about what fanfiction writers, or any creative individuals for that matter, have to do. Let me clarify something important: creativity isn’t a tap that one can simply turn on and off at will. It’s a complex, often unpredictable process that cannot be rushed without compromising the integrity and quality of the work. Quality stories often require research, plotting, editing, and revising before they’re ready to share. My creative process isn’t a fast food joint, nonnie, and I'm not here to serve up reheated ideas just to fill the silence.

My blog belongs to no one but me. I post what I want, when I want. As for the content of my stories, I believe every writer has the right to explore subjects that excite them the most - even if that means delving into topics or settings others may find odd, like vampires or vikings. My goal is to write stories I’m passionate about and then offer them freely to anyone who might find them entertaining. Some people will, others won’t, and that’s absolutely okay.

Contrary to your belief, I don't exist solely to churn out stories at the speed you dictate. I write on my own time and for my own pleasure. The notion that I should be a content machine is, frankly, laughable. Writing takes time, creative energy, and often real-life circumstances can slow the process. I post when I’m ready, and if that doesn’t align with your desired schedule, you’re free to unfollow or seek out other writers who update more frequently. Suggesting I deactivate because I’m not constantly posting or because I reblog content I enjoy is dismissive at best. I'm not a streaming service like Netflix, darling🙄

Calling me an entitled white woman or implying I’m ungrateful crosses a line. You know nothing of my background or personal circumstances, and bringing race or entitlement into the conversation is neither accurate nor constructive. My ethnicity or personal identity, whatever it may be, does not diminish the value of my creative output, nor does it affect my commitment to my followers. I appreciate every person who visits my page - whether they come to enjoy what I reblog, to read stories I post or to offer critique.

It's also laughable that you think my followers are stupid. Just because their tastes don't align with yours doesn't make them any less intelligent. Diversity in fandoms exists because creativity resonates differently with everyone, something you seem incapable of recognizing.

oblivious!armin sees how you treat him nicely or even special in some occasions, like how you always text him goodmorning/goodnight or how you order his favourite pastry for him when you’re meeting for coffee, maybe even how you notice his shirt is buttoned the wrong way, so you unbutton it to do it right, too shy to meet each others gaze as you do so

however, oblivious!armin justifies it all by how good friends you are and how you’ve been super close for such a long time, it’s only natural that you do special things for each other, right?

oblivious!armin was being so overprotective, even though he’d never admit this true motives behind his actions to you. he keeps tabs on all the people who approach you at parties and makes sure to intervene if you seem uncomfortable, snaking his arm around your waist and kissing you on the temple because “jean is expecting us, y/n, we should go” as he pulls you away from whatever guy was being too pushy

you reach your hand to hold armin’s and wait for him to react. he doesn’t. he’s simply rubbing circles with him thumb on the outer side of your palm.

you felt your cheeks flush up as you side-eyed armin to see the reaction on his face, only to find him side-eyeing you. holding back a chuckle, you smile at each other, continuing your way to your brunch spot.

once you walk inside the store, you’re all spreading around, looking for the best spot to fit all five of you, and sasha notices you both holding hands when she turns around to ask “do you prefer by the window or by the-” her sentence cut short as realisation filled her eyes.

“i’ll go get the others to that table on the balcony! meet us soon, but not too soon in case… you know… want to be alone… or something...” she even had the nerve to wink at you!

you exchanged a meaningful look with armin, not yet addressing the little situation you had going on for yourselves, and walked behind sasha, over to the table she’d picked out.

the brunch date went smoothly, you had your seat next to armin, as per usual, and you were still being very accommodating for each other, which wasn’t uncommon either. sasha giggling at the pair of you was uncommon. she was being a real nightmare and making you both really awkward, but you didn’t say anything, you knew she meant no harm and was honestly excited about you.

you were so thankful the others never noticed how armin would rest his palm on your thigh, softly moving it up and down in a swift motion, or how you often placed your arm behind his back, moving yourself closer to him, because “your previous posture became painful”.

“you should really cut down on caffeinated drinks, sasha, you’re almost resembling that squirrel from “hoodwinked”, connie remarked, earning him a great laugh from the rest of you.

at the end of the date, armin and you split from the group as he offered to walk you back home (sasha asked you to “take care” and winked, connie and jean giving her some inquiring looks).

you reached your door sooner than you’d like, but before you could turn around to say anything, armin cupped your face and kissed you and god knows how long you’d been longing for that kiss, that turned deeper and warmer the more you kept your lips attached to each other.

you parted from the kiss after what felt like a sweet eternity, but was probably only a couple of minutes, both breathless, cheeks turning pink.

“today was rather… overwhelming, but do you maybe wanna meet tomorrow and… talk? about us, i mean?” he asked you nervously, fidgeting with his fingers.

Hello, asking random people in the fandom just out of curiosity, What made you start watching Helluva Boss? What sparked your interest to keep watching? Nowadays, what still makes you stay? Hope you have a nice day! :)

These are great questions and I will very gladly answer them!

I'll preface this by saying I'm one of those people who doesn't watch(or play, or read) new stuff often. Yes, I spend a lot of my time watching media. But it's always the same media, over and over. Knowing what's gonna happen brings me comfort, so re-watching is miles easier for me than watching new stuff is. So when my friends recommend something new, it goes straight into the "I probably won't watch it for the next 20 years" box that exists in my brain against my will.

The friends who've known me a long time know this, of course, which is why they've found strategies to overcome this obstacle. And on one particular afternoon in... November-ish of 2021? I was hanging out at a friend's house, just chilling, when her girlfriend randomly grabbed the remote control, and played episode 1 of Helluva Boss on TV. Just like that, no warning, and without any of us knowing wtf it was, just that it was "related to hazbin hotel" (my gf was apparently familiar with the pilot and Addict, meanwhile literally all I knew about hazbin was it featured in a lot of unhinged tumblr DNI lists lol).

And so we watched the first episode. Then the second. And then everyone else was asking for the third and I was like "STOP. PAUSE. NO MORE EPISODES" and they were like "??? Do you hate it?? What's wrong?" but I absolutely did not hate it. On the contrary. I was enjoying it so much that I promptly decided this show needed to be binged at home from under the darkness of my blankets at 3am. Not with my friends, where the sensory input (lights, voices, etc) would prevent me from fully enjoying this wild experience I had just been thrust into.

So that's what I did. That night. And then nightly and weekly for months afterwards. I rewatched everything from the pilot to Ozzie's on loop until I could quote every single line of the show by heart, and then kept rewatching. I squeezed every single drop of gut-wrenching anguish out of the song House of Asmodeus until I couldn't feel anything anymore. This was my life now. (Luckily, my girlfriend matched my freak and we could scream about it together). And when The Circus aired months later and the two of us got the notification randomly while hanging out alone, and we watched it together, our screams were so intense that they cemented the brainrot forever.

As season 2 aired, I tried to scream about it to the friend who had originally introduced us to this show. But lo and behold... she'd already moved on and was like "eh" 🤣😭

Funniest part is this isn't the first time this has happened. This friend will show me (and others) random media she finds, it will literally change the course of our lives forever, and 3 months later she doesn't even remember it and has moved on to something else while we are left behind in a screaming and burning pile of fangirl trash 😭🤣 (I love her and hope she never changes because it's hilarious every time sjfjakshd).

So that's how I started watching it. As to what sparked my interest... The correct answer is probably Loo Loo Land, since that's the episode that made me realise I was going to be absolutely unwell about this show. It's been a long time, but I think it probably happened somewhere between You Will Be Okay and "I'll paaaaay yoooou" "pay me what?" "moooneeeyyy" "DONE!" because I remember that by the second half of the episode, I was already shaking with how badly I needed to ask them to stop playing it so I could process it properly.

Nowadays I stay for the same reason, which is they continue to alter my brain chemistry every single day and with every single episode. It's my main fixation at the moment and that's not likely to change anytime soon. I have a history of having the same media fixation for many years at a time, even when the story itself is already finished, and in the case of Helluva we still have 2 whole seasons left, so... I'm here to stay 😂

Usually I just scream about all my fandoms on my main blog, but my main blog (and ao3 account) also have a lot of followers from my previous main fandom, and when I realised I was going to be screaming about Helluva Boss daily for the foreseeable future, I decided to spare them and make a sideblog and alt ao3 account so I could be unhinged guilt-free 😂

Hi, I know you said you didn't people arguing with you, and that is not at all what I'm trying to do, but I do think this is important to point out. Feel free to ignore this ask. As an artist and someone who also hates AI and has had their own art detected as AI by AI art detectors, I do not believe that Bardric's current design was fully AI-generated (please do keep in mind that with AI nowadays it can be hard to tell for a fact unless confirmed by the artist or has the stereotypical AI art style). I know you make a lot of edits, but I'm not sure if you're an artist yourself. If you are, there is a chance you have more experience than me, in which case I would trust your word more (I've only been doing art for around 3 years). From what I can gather, most of the evidence you've pointed out are easy-to-make mistakes, with one not even being a mistake. Based on my understanding, this design is still technically concept art (I think they stated that in a story, correct me if I'm wrong) so mistakes are completely understandable. The lapel that looks like it's divided into three parts seems to be like a not-fully rendered part. If you were to use a smudge tool in that area, you would get something similar to the other lapel. Many digital artists try to not use a copy paste or symmetry tool in their art for one reason or another, to the point that if you look at other art with somewhat similar styles (like wlop's older art or Samdoesart's portraits with a lot of metal and jewelry) and you zoom in, you will see very similar things occuring. Personally, I've never seen AI generators do the "double vision effect" with such harsh edges, often being overly blended out. Based on the lighting (which seems to be coming from the upper-left) I'd assume it's a bounce light from the gold because if you look at the entire rim, you'll see it is meant to be above the lapel, not sewn onto it. Now, I will admit, I have 0 clue about what is going on with the pants. It both does and does not make sense (to me) and just gives me uncanny valley vibes. And I can make no comment on the belt as I have seen way too many kinds of belts out there in fantasy worlds (literally just google 'belt buckle fantasy' and you will see belts that make no sense, like, you can see the prong in some but not others and in so many of them it looks like the prong is melted into the buckle) when doing studies and getting some of my won so I have given up. Also, there are no egregious issues with the shadows. The light is coming from the front, not the back. Were it coming from the back, there would be rim lighting and the front of his face would not be shiny. If you find pictures with similar lighting, you will notice the collar makes a shadow on both the neck and the part beneath the collar (if it is on the side the light comes from). The lighting in this image makes total sense with any issues simply being minor mistakes even advanced artists do Once more, I am not expert, and I could totally be wrong. I am not a professional artist, especially not in the semi-realistic art style. However, I have notices a lot of artists who have been on the internet for ages and have proved many times that it is their own art are just now being called out for AI since their own art style is similar. Finally, keep in mind that a lot of artist follow the rule of "don't add too much detail if the image is understandable", again I point to wlop and samdoes art, but there's also rishidraws, Alberto Mieglo (make sure you're looking at his concept art, particularly spiderverse art, as some of his posts are fully finished products where he was required to add a lot of detail due to the size of the piece) and rossdraws. If you look at their art for long enough, you will notice a lot of similar artistic/stylistic decisions (aside from the part where the pants and shirt meet, again, I have no clue wtf is going on there) that you pointed out

Constructive conversation is always welcome. What happened on the other site was more like making fun and laughing off by crazed fangirls when I only dared to mention my suspicion and nothing more, so don't worry about annoying me with your post 😅

I can see why those artists you've mentioned could be accused of using AI due to their art style and it's a shame this is happening. I still trust myself more than any AI detector, even when all of them happen to agree with me. There's lots of things that could trigger those tools, even totally innocent ones, or just some barely noticeable filter.

I also wouldn't dare to say Bardick's art is fully AI, but I'm still pretty confident the process involved AI assistance. How exactly, I'm not completely sure. The evolution images are too low quality (and suspiciously late stage drawings as someone pointed out) to fully understand the process. I haven't really had a chance to try AI-assisted art creation myself (not sure my PC can handle it and the tools online have been pure scam and gambling so far), but it seems similar to what I've seen on videos: the artist starts with a sketch (or AI generated image), feeds it wholly to AI (again) or masks certain areas to regenerate, sketches over again, fixes some things, another round of AI, rinse and repeat, until finally adding finishing touches.

The right lapel's triangularly placed sticks certainly aren't just lazy brush strokes in a non-focus area. They're too detailed for that, having proper shading, highlights and maybe even shadows, yet don't make any sense compared to the other side.

That corner even seems to change slightly between the last two evolution images (although too low quality once again):

Maybe you're right and the double lines around the hem really are intended to be a reflection or something but even then it would be such an unnecessary detail to add.

I can see it could have been badly worded but I didn't claim that the light comes from the back, that's why I pointed out why the coat's collar leaving a shadow on the shirt was strange, as if the light was cast from behind, unlike the rest of the image. Before daring to write about the shadows, I must admit I even put on my white shirt and played around with phone's flashlight in front of the mirror 😅, so I'm pretty sure there's too much shadow on the shirt below the collar. Some shadow and shading due to light getting trapped under the collar would have been normal, like this quick 1-min smudging:

...but otherwise it's impossible to get two such clear and large shadows on both sides with a single light source.

Why I've been wary of Candlelight when it comes to the use of AI, is because Andrew was the creative force behind Storyloom (creative director according to Linkedin) and there was at least one book series made by PB - Season of Love - that heavily used AI generated assets (some Youtube playthroughs still exist). Like you, I also remember there being a comment or post from CL about the stage of Bardick's design but I'm already doubting myself if it was claimed to be final or not and I can't find the post anymore. I'd like to believe we've only seen the concept. From what I understood then the character arts are outsourced, so there's some chance they're not even aware about the use of AI.

A general problem the MCU has is that while they may be good at bringing up potentially interesting and complex takes on real-world issues or things that could shake up the status quo, they're not good at commitment, and usually have the issues get solved in anticlimactic fashion, whether that be by the end of the same project they were introduced in, or have them get solved offscreen.

Like, with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, they raise a legitimate issue through bringing up the topic of how immigrants and refugees are treated. Setting aside Karli falling into the same trap as Killmonger of "villains who suddenly kill a bunch of innocent people at random because they were raising too many legitimate points, and we need the audience to not root for the", the issue is resolved through Sam effectively giving a "Do better" speech to the politicians while the deportation issue is solved offscreen.

Setting aside that they come off more like a HYDRA manifesto, the Sokovia Accords could've been the foundation for a discussion about acceptable forms of oversight for superheroes. But it really just amounted to a plot device to allow the airport battle to happen, they're pretty much forgotten once Zemo enters the picture, they're mentioned a few times in Ant-Man and the Wasp and WandaVision, and then Matt Murdock's scenes in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law reveal that the Accords were repealed offscreen.

Secret Invasion seemed to be on track to deconstruct Fury's habit of using superpowered people to help him, by having it reveal that he basically exploited alien refugees. But he doesn't actually solve that issue by the end (in fact, when it comes to defeating Gravik, he exploits G'iah having superpowers and wanting to avenge her parents to utilize her as an assassin).

The MCU likes to bring up certain points of discussion but they seem to believe that either the audience is too stupid to understand complex storylines or they just want something easy to digest that won't upset anybody (mostly the execs).

It comes to show that while in the past the superhero movies were all about celebrating the heroes and their "otherness", nowadays we get organizations like the TVA justified by the narrative, the governments are protected and the blame is deflected towards the heroes like Bucky, or a series that could have made a fantastic story regarding Fury, Shield and their shady missions turns out to say... absolutely nothing at all.

What they did to the Flagsmashers and Karli was so utterly disgusting that I can't even begin to say how mad it made me. Hell, Secret Invasion was dealing with refugees as well (the alien-kind but, still). So why not try to connect the two somehow? We had Nick speak to Talos about racism, much in the way Sam gets to mention some of it especially when he's with Isaiah, but nothing ever comes out of it. They're short lines that can be quoted in tweets and memes but they're pointless when it comes to the story being told in the series.

And maybe that's the problem, it would seem that's all Marvel wants. It's like their "queer rep". They want something quick, short, and ambiguous that won't bother anyone too much. Probably because they're one of those who think "both sides" are equally right and wrong and so they don't want to alienate anybody.

And one of the reasons I hate this is that when it really comes to it... does the existence of heroes really change anything in the MCU universe? When it comes to external threats they're essential, but with internal affairs? They always stop the immediate threat but everything else that made it happen is left as it is (the worst offender is CW, the Accords and that damn Raft. "Oh let me break my teammates out of here but watch as I do nothing to help the other inmates or anybody else that will be sent here in the future". WTF is that?!!).

Listen, I know that it seems like you need to have some reason to be here, whether it's a goal to strive towards, a purpose, a direction, a passion, a use, anything, but you don't. You don't have to give what happened to you a reason, and your reactions don't always have to make sense. You don't have to keep putting the blame on yourself, and you don't have to try and unravel yourself like a puzzle, either. I know that people often see you as someone who's calmer, someone who seems to have it together, who, even though you struggle, you're always able to make it through it. And you are, and you're able to, and I'm proud of you for that. But, you should be proud of yourself, too, not just of what others are proud of you for, and not just what things you've deemed "worthy" of that praise. You've come far. If freedom is what you want, then you should let yourself have it.

Hello :] I have a feeling that you might enjoy using little faces like that, so I will, too! You've likely had a bit of a rough life, even if you don't share that with others too often, or if you do, it's so other people know they're not alone. That's admirable, but it's also good to talk about the things that trouble you for your own sake, as well. I know that you're strong, and you should be proud of yourself for how far you've come, but don't forget that it's also okay to step back for a bit, that it's okay if you're not put together. Regardless, you're someone that people tend to find comfort in, and you're a good, cheerful person to be around. It's a bit hard to come across someone like you nowadays- be proud of yourself, and if anyone tries to tell you that you're wrong for enjoying the small joys in life, just be happy that it's obvious you're truly living life.

I often think about how back then it was way worse. Like ah yes, I'm a Victorian child born into a lower class family and I'm forced to labour all my life living in the streets of London or something. Of course, you don't have food or water or any source of hygiene to begin with. The worst part is..water quality was so bad back then that if you don't have drinking water; people just drink beer instead.

Imagine your 6 year old daughter working her life off mining in a cave with starvation since yesterday and you have to just give her MORE beer to fill her stomach 😭 like oh GOD that's miserable..

and after all that, im surprised the diseases we get now are more "dangerous" than back then. Mind you, people in the 1800s or 1700s had like NO technology to even think of finding a cure. Like damn you didn't even invent a microscope YET. <- I'll educate you a bit about history..the first microscope as a CONCEPT was made by a Dutch man named Zacharias Janssen all the way back in 1590!!! But the first MODERN microscope that we know nowadays with all the different lenses and even coloured was in 1774. That's like almost 2 centuries later...and incase you haven't focused in your 7th grade science class, the first atomic theory was in 1804. If you understand where I'm going with this, we humans are slow as HELLL.

I'm mentioning all of this saying dude...you're telling me people back then had some deadly diseases, couldn't cure it, DIED on streets, and didnt even GET quarantine.

Talking about generation...which I bet everyone is sick of me talking about..but like dude would our generation survive if we just got a time machine to the 17th century. You ever see those articles about how nowadays we stay on our phone all day and that'll make our bodies lazy and not used to work blah blah blah,, at first I was gonna say if we go back to the time the Spanish flu for example started we would PROBABLY survive because we have better education, better immune systems due to actual healthcare and we could definitely survive with just common sense. Like wtf?? I'm NOT going to visit by rat filled basement bare foot..

HOWEVER compare the average human who sits on bed all day scrolling and laughing at a glowy rectangular shaped decide called a phone...we would not last a day without internet...at least I know I wouldn't 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

So like...think about it. Why is corona so dangerous?? It's only borderline to older diseases. Or maybe it's the other way around. Corona itself is DEADLY, but it's just the situation and life style we have today that makes me wonder why it's harmless. Like cough cough I got covid oh no!!! I can just stay in my home all day.. like you get what I mean?? I'm sure you would just get back to work if you were unfortunately lower class victorian child and had covid..and dying probably gives you more peace than working a lifetime for 10 cents..
