A/N: A while back, I saw a text post made by the lovely @kteague and immediately, it sparked a need for more husband!javi. This is the text post in question. It’s sososo great. You should go follow ❤️ It also made me realize that I haven’t written Javier going down on his wife, and honestly wtf??? This takes place before Lucas is born.

Summary: Javi isn’t perfect. He needs a nicotine high badly, but your pregnancy isn’t allowing you to tolerate the smell of cigarettes. He indulges in his next favorite thing to satisfy his craving; going down on his pregnant wife.

Javier feels extra twitchy today. He paces around the house like a caged animal, tapping his fingers on the side of his thighs, and considers throwing caution to the wind and just having that damn smoke. He has a packet of cigarettes stashed in one of the potted plants outside, but it’s for emergencies only. Like that one time that his Pop had called him to say that a tree had fallen down on the barn overnight, and the very thought of the cost and time it would take to fix it had made him fly out the door to smoke in the far back of the garden.

He does it for you though. He’d do anything for you. Especially now that Lucas Peña is making his arrival in less than three months. He remembers you going into your second trimester, and you’d been around his cigarette smoke only to run to the toilet to reject your dinner. He never wants you to feel like that again, so he quit cold turkey. 

“Perhaps it won’t be a problem when we’re having the next one,” you had said to him, and he had stubbed out the cigarette immediately. He didn’t need the rush of nicotine, because he had the rush of you already thinking of more kids. He knew that he wanted a family with you since he saw you, but only then he had known just how big of a family.

But Javier needs the rush now. He has been through all of the coping mechanisms; sweets, rubber bands on his wrists, even has run out of nicotine gum but he doesn’t dare go to the store in case he comes home with more cigarettes. Has run out of patches too, which he would like to plaster his arms in right now.

You are not home and he needs you. He has a rare day off and you are not home. When are you coming home? He watches the clock, hears the ticking, and wants to rip it off the wall. You’re usually home by now. Where the fuck are you? 

Fuck it. Javier speedwalks to the door to the garden.  He is just about to rip it open, harsh enough to be tearing it off its hinges when he hears the front door. 

“Javi?” You call out his name so heavenly, “Can you help me with the groceries?” 

Oh, so that’s what you have been doing instead of coming straight home to him. He finds you by the front door, barely successful in holding two brown bags and your keys at the same time. Without hesitation, he takes both bags from you and heads to the kitchen to place them on the counter.

“You could’ve asked me to pick something up, y’know,” he says as he busies his hands by unloading everything into their respective places. His hands shake; he needs something to hold onto but you won’t let it be you if the milk hasn’t gone in the fridge yet.

“I was passing by anyway,” you enter the kitchen and start helping him, and he can feel your eyes watching him with curiosity at his urgency, “What’s up with you?”

“There’s something up because I’m helping you in the kitchen?” He quips.

You laugh quietly, “Well… yeah.”

Javier doesn’t know if it’s funny, but he knows that he needs an excuse to get you worked up so that he can satisfy his cravings in the way that works the very best.

He finishes unloading the groceries, turns to you, and doesn’t even hesitate despite you holding onto a box of cereal; he kisses you right then and there. It’s a long, deep, and satisfying kiss with his hands rubbing up and down your sides. You gasp into his mouth, melt against him, and awkwardly put the cereal box onto the kitchen counter so that you can embrace him right back. 

“Thank fucking God you’re home,” he mumbles into you, relishing in the taste and warmth of your tongue. He is insisting in the way he holds you close, and starts to guide you out of the kitchen and towards the bedroom at the end of the hall. 

“Javi,” you protest as you realize his motives. He doesn’t relent, and you reluctantly drag your lips away from his. He groans in frustration, but you find his eyes with flushed cheeks and he might just burst right then at the shy look you are giving him, “I can’t. I haven’t even… I need a shower.”

“No, you fucking don’t,” he opens the door, realizing that the window has been open all day to air out your shared bedroom. You shiver at the cold air and Javier feels like he might be seeing stars soon when he notices your nipples hardening underneath your top. He steers you to the bed by your hips, “Need it. Please don’t deny me, mi amor.”

“What’s gotten into you?” You groan after another kiss, one where Javier’s hand comes up to cup your breast as he devours your mouth. Then you let yourself be guided down onto the bed, legs hanging out over the edge and Javier kneeling down on the floor. 

“Ran outta nicotine gum,” he mutters, too busy undoing your last pair of jeans in a while; they’re straining against your growing belly but he knows how much you love this pair. He yanks them down over your hips after he has undone the zipper.

“Makes sense,” you lift your hips to help him. 

“So lemme have this?” He pleads. He notices the wet patch that has formed on your white cotton panties, refraining from chuckling to himself. You aren’t going to say no.

Vidcon London 2020 Write-Up

i’ve been inspired by @blackbirddan and @calvinahobbes to write down my experiences while they’re still fresh in my memory. i decided to make this a masterpost of my other vidcon-related stuff as well.

thursday, 20/2/2020

i got up at my usual time, finished packing my bags and then went to work. i was planning to work a full day, but my boss was kind and let me leave an hour early. raced home, snagged my bags, then raced to the airport and got on my plane to london!

friday, 21/2/2020

apparently we caught a really good tailwind and arrived 1.5 hours quicker than normal. touched down around 8:00 AM. dawdled a bit so i wouldn’t get to the airbnb too early but eventually arrived there around 11:30 AM. the previous guests hadn’t left yet D: but they were some very kind chinese people who chatted with me and made me tea. the cleaners were there already and didn’t leave until 4:30 PM!!! slowly, friends arrived: agnethe, then adie, then vaz, and finally loz.

after sorting out rooms, we all took a trip down to the ExCeL center and checked in. by that time i’d been awake for something like 30 hours straight (only slept about half an hour on the plane, so i don’t count that) and was a bit delirious. however, in the registration line, i met loads of online friends!!! i saw dhar, fran, keelin ( @ahappydnp​ ), emma, maike, rachel, jane ( @jestbee​ ), carryl--SO MANY and yet i was too out of it to properly greet anyone. oh well.

i was invited out but was dead on my feet, so i went back to the airbnb, made myself stay awake until just past 9:00 PM and then conked out.

saturday, 22/2/2020

adie and i had been planning to get up early and make the vidcon kick-off event. thinking i’d wake up super early due to jet lag, i didn’t set an alarm, and i ended up sleeping 12 hours straight! (we missed the kick-off event).

i walked down to the ExCeL with adie, agnethe, and vaz, and then we split up. i went down to leave my sweater at the coat check and decided to stop by a nearby coffee stand. while waiting for my coffee, i idly turned to look behind me, and THERE WAS PHIL. he was waiting in a room called the London Suite, which i believe was the green room for creators. thus i was the first to learn that he was wearing that blue bomber jacket.

armed with coffee and the glorious sight of phil, i headed up to the room where his panel would be and caught the tail end of the previous panel about LGBTQ+ issues. i kind of wish i’d been able to see all of it, as i really liked some of the people on it, but i guess then i would’ve missed phil downstairs.

this was when i finally got to meet eddie (@theironicllama) and charlotte (@danhowellz) for the first time and give them great big hugs. (my heart is still so full from getting to hug and spend time with so many online friends).

i enjoyed listening to phil talk but did think there wasn’t much chemistry among the group of people they put together for this panel. most seemed too shy or too uninterested with interacting with the rest. overall, not a terrible panel though.

after that, i went and grabbed some food in the food court with vaz, eddie, and charlotte. then they all went to start queuing for phil’s m&g (as most of my friends were doing), so i took the chance to head down to phil’s merch booth while all his fans were in line. heh heh. i then met up with @calvinahobbes and watched everyone get to meet phil from afar. (i chose not to enter the m&g lottery as i’ve had the chance to meet phil twice before.) i did get this amazing shot of phil though:

when cal’s crew (keelin, mads, and renee) were done meeting phil, we tracked them down and sat with them while they all came down from the experience. it was just really lovely getting to see how happy meeting phil had made them and looking at all their photos and listening to their experiences meeting him. he’s so kind to us all. loz came over and joined us as well, and eventually adie too.

(some of you might have heard about the transphobic incident. i did yell out “that wasn’t funny” which got a lot of the crowd to start booing him, and that was a bit of a highlight for me. lol.)

this part and thomas sanders’s heartwarming performance after really saved the night for me. after that, loz, adie, vaz, and i met up with a big group at a pub near the ExCeL and kind of decompressed from the whole experience. charlotte had UNO cards, so we played a few rounds before heading off to our respective beds. after so much sleep the night before and the exciting day, i had a hard time dropping off and stayed up late making sappy tweets about phil:

sunday, 23/2/2020

i think most of us slept in this morning, except for the brave souls who had early m&gs that they weren’t willing to miss. i walked down to the ExCeL with adie, vaz, and agnethe, and we split up again. i met up with eddie and hung out with him and vaz for most of the morning and early afternoon. we caught the end of jacksepticeye’s q&a on the mainstage (and i thought about how weird it was that phil didn’t have any solo mainstage events considering he was one of the biggest names there).

we took it really easy on sunday cuz everyone was pretty exhausted from the day and night before. met up with some peeps for lunch, and then a bunch of us headed over to hank green’s truth or fail panel. that was probably one of my highlights of the weekend! it was a small, intimate setting, and hank was just so funny and personable. also, mine, eddie, and vaz’s team won or tied every round and ended up being the overall winners of the event. this led to hank green telling us, “fuck you!” we also won these badges:

the last event that anyone was interested in was a mental health panel, but the room was way too crowded for me. i hung out with a couple of other people instead, then met up with everyone to have a good-bye hug and picture session. i got lots of lovely selfies and hugs and promises to meet up again someday. it made me really, really hope that d and/or p will do vidcon london again next year so that we can make this a tradition.

i rushed back to the airbnb to shower and change and then met up with my friends adam and alex, who were english teachers in japan with me back in the day. we had delicious japanese food and reminisced about old times.

when i returned to the airbnb, loz, adie, vaz, and agnethe were still awake playing games. we ended up staying awake until the wee hours playing truth bombs, and it was another highlight of the weekend. d&p, you’ve made a very good game!

then, it was time to start saying good-bye to my temporary roomies as well. vaz was flying out early in the morning, so i had to bid her farewell.

monday, 24/2/2020

adie left in the morning too, to catch a train. it was so wonderful finally getting to meet them in person after all these years. i then met up with lia and mads for a pizza lunch, and the three of us chatted and kind of debriefed about the weekend.

after going back to the airbnb, i rested for a bit and then went out to see a play called “A Number,” starring colin morgan (of bbc merlin fame). he was SO BEAUTIFUL in person. @_@ and also just an amazing performer. and then he walked past me as i was leaving the theater. eek!!

tuesday, 25/2/2020

the next morning, loz, agnethe, and i finished straightening up, and we said good-bye to loz, who was driving home, and agnethe and i walked down to the train station together. we finally hugged and said good-bye when i got off the train one stop earlier than she did. we had such a great group at our airbnb!

then, i headed to euston station and caught a train north to manchester, where i met up with jen (@ homebirdjen on twitter and instagram). she wasn’t able to come down to vidcon, so we hung out at the hotel in manchester together and talked and talked and talked. it was just really nice and relaxing, and i hope i have another chance to meet up with her in the future.

after having breakfast with jen and her mum, i hung out with her until it was time for them to leave. it was sad having to say good-bye again so quickly, but at least we got to spend some quality time together.

with an afternoon and evening in manchester free, i decided to make The Great Phannie Pilgrimage. after getting assistance from several people on twitter, i managed to visit some important sites:

after a leisurely morning, i made my way back to the train station and headed down to london. i spent a while walking around islington and then visited the british library.

then, i spent my last evening in the UK with emma and netalia. we grabbed a drink at a certain starbucks, and then emma took me around to some other phamous sites:

then she helped me figure out how to get to the train stop nearest to my last airbnb, and i had to hug her and bid good-bye to my last d&p friend of the trip :(

and that’s pretty much it! the next morning i headed to the airport and flew out, and now here i am, resting up and thinking back over a really wonderful trip. lots of love to everyone i met up with who made the past week so special. love all of you <3 (note: it was also so good for my mental health to spend a week with people who just easily and casually called me “rhys” and used he/him pronouns for me. really, THANK YOU ALL)

Creators:

What counts as a WIPs?

The short answer is anything. It can be a work you’ve started or a prompt you thought was neat. It can be an idea of an alternative universe you want to work your fandom into. You can offer anything you wanted to try, but maybe have no concrete ideas for, as well (ie: a pairing you’re intrigued by, but have no WIP/HC for).

This event is to encourage you to make something you have wanted to do as a priority.

How many WIPs/prompts can I have?

There is no limit to how many WIPs and/or prompts you can list. We do ask that if you have a good chunk, around 5 or 6 longer ones, that you provide a link to a folder of them on your GDrive. You can always go into details or summaries of some of your favorites in the WIPs/prompt section of your creator post.

Can we include published WIPs as well - or is just stuff that hasn’t yet been shared for public consumption the only WIPs?

Sure can! Anything you want that little boost to help you cross a goal off your bucket list is welcomed!

Can I just have my bidders tell me what they want me to do?

Yes! You could just put your likes and dislikes/do not wants and ask potential bidders to contact you about their ideas or say you’re open to whatever bidders want (with exceptions of your DNWs).

Does the creator-winner relationship work like a commission?

No. You are under no obligation to give anything for credit anything to your winner, although we ask that you do notify your winner of the posting at least. However you want to work with your winner is up to you. If you would like to use this as a way to motivate you to finish something or as a way for someone else to decide what you work on next, and nothing else, that is up to you. As a kindness, we recommend putting your feelings of collabing/working in your winners like/etc. into your creator's notes.

What if I decide to add, drop, or change an auction?

If you decide to add or change anything in your auctions, please DM an admin or send us an email (what2finish@gmail.com). This also needs to be done if you change something on the Sign Up form. Just as long as you have contacted us to let us know if you’re redoing the form or doing a second add-on auction form, we will accept it.

If you do not contact us to tell us you are doing a redo form or doing an add-on form, your current information may not get updated.

If you wish to drop a second auction or drop out as a creator during the Sign up stage, please email us IMMEDIATELY. We understand that these are uncertain times. You do not need to give us a reason, you can simply write an email stating “I do not wish to have a second auction” or “I do not wish to be a creator anymore”.

What should I do for the starting bid?

We suggest starting your bid off low as it encourages bidders to bid.

Please feel free to do tiers for your bids. For example for fanfiction:

“If bidding reaches $20, I will write two of my smaller WIPs for the auction and at $30, two of my longer WIPs. If it goes pass $50, I’ll do two WIPs of bidder’s choice and one small fic that’s under 5k of the winner’s prompt.”

Also, consider your own commission prices or what others’ commission prices are. Your Art Path has a great section of advise for commission prices here.

Still uncertain of your starting bid? Talk to friends in your discord, tumblr, and/or fandom who participated as creators in other fandom charity auctions to ask if they can help you with your starting bid/bid increment. You can also check out Marvel Trumps Hate or Fandom Trumps Hate FAQs for their recommendations.  

Keep in mind, all of the winning bid will be going towards charity.

What should I put for my second auction if both will be for the same creation?

We recommend separating your auctions by fandoms so that your lesser known fandom has it’s own auction to shine in.

If you have multiple fandoms we want to work with, you might separate your auctions by more popular ships in one auction and less popular ships in another.

In reality, you don’t need to have two unique auctions.

What should I put in my “Creator Notes” section?

You can put your tiers here. You can put your limitations on how big or how many of your auction you will do. Be aware if you have something that states “For every $10 past $30 I will write 2k” and the final bid gets to $100, you have now promised at least 14,000 more words to what you initially offered.

What is the deadline for completing my winner(s) works?

The soft deadline for completed works is going to be December 1st, 2021. If you do not think you will be able to meet this deadline, please just keep us at WTF informed.

There is no hard rule for finishing. ‘Finished’ can just mean moving the ball down the court. If it’s another chapter or comic page, etc is up for bid, that’s fine. This event is to encourage you to work on things sitting in your WIP/prompt piles.

We recommend putting the information in your Creator Notes for your auction.

Can I bid as well as be a creator?

Yes! Please feel free to do both. We would love to have you bid to your heart’s (or wallet’s) desire. Join a podbid! Or Seven! Hype up other creators! Ask one of your favorite fandom creators if they’re interested in joining the fun too!

Where and how do I post my completed Auction work?

You can complete it however you prefer! You can post it on tumblr and link the @what2finish blog if it’s a shorter story. You can post on Ao3 in the collection WTF Philippines Relief 2020. If you are posting anywhere else that we ask that you make a tumblr post with a link to the story so we can reblog your story on our blog and mark your Auction work completed.

There are no posting rules to your completed work besides to tag for anything nsfw or possible triggers. You can post it all together or one chapter at a time. You can post multiple series, it’s all up to you.

Bidders:

Do I need to sign up to bid?

No. You will need a working email address so we can contact you if you win an auction. Just fill out the bid form during Auction week; November 22nd to November 28th, 11:59:00pm CST.

What name do I use for bidding?

You can use a fandom name or a nickname, whatever name you are comfortable with.

What is Preview Week?

Preview week is the week when all the creator posts will be upload and the Masterpost of creators will be released on the tumblr. It will give bidders the chance to browse all the auctions before Auction Week to find creators and auctions they want to bid on. This will also give last minute creator sign ups and the mods a chance to make sure everything is spick and span for Auction Week.

Can I contact creators before Auction Week?

Please do! Ask after their auctions! Ask about their WIPs or ideas! Ask about pairings! Clarify their wants and do not wants with them!

In fact, if you have a creator in mind for this charity event, ask them to consider joining!

The Auction ends when I’m unavailable, what do I do?

We understand that with the time difference all around that world, there are bound to be some who are in a time zone that doesn’t align nicely with Central Standard Time. In this case we suggest getting a proxy bidder to help you out. If you cannot find your own, you are more than welcomed to contact us (ask or email) and we will put out a call to our followers for someone who is willing to be a proxy for you.

When will I get my confirmation email I won?

The mod team will be working to get the winner’s emails out to them as soon as the auction ends. Please keep in mind that gmail only allows a certain number of emails to be send out at a time. This means the emails will be sent out in batches and depending on the auction, it might take a few days to get your winning confirmation email.

Please do not get in contact with the creator or donate until you get your confirmation email you have won the auction.

What do I do if I win an auction?

You will get an email within the next two to three days after the auction closes confirming your win and asking you to donate to one of the charities listed. As stated in the last answer above, please do not donate or contact your creator for the auction until after you have received your confirmation email and you have donated.

But, once your have gotten your confirmation email and you have donated, the mods will send an email with both you and your creator. From there, it will be up to you guys to figure out the auction win from there.

Can I donate more than my winning bid?

Yes! The more the merrier. There is no limit to the donations you can make. 

I would like to have the craft/artwork or be part of the creation process as the winner, can I?

That will be between you and the creator you won. If they do not specifically state they will give you their work, they are under no obligation to give it. If you are unsure of their stance, or it is not listed that they are looking to work with the bidder, please reach out to the creator to ask them.
