With the info soda watches this blog I wanna say something to them (not because I like them I actually hate them but still) please stop watching a blog about how people dislike you and your work won’t do anything to help you it’ll only ruin you more. Also if your hoping to change anybody’s mind on you or wtcd it’s not going to happen so just move on and let it go people aren’t always going to like you or the stuff you make and you have to understand and accept that fact, also you can’t keep running away from everything you’ve done soda at this point make public apologies on all the accounts and don’t pussy out this time and make all them (besides vents and stuff) private own up to the shit you’ve done finally and accept not everyone will like your shitty fangame and work on your sequel to make that actually good and work on your flaws as a person too before that-soda hater 80

you say haiyu is bad in the wtcd server and no one bats an eye.. you say kat is bad and the server goes mad.. society.

Society is when Haiyu apologizes for his mistakes and gets beat up, but when Kat apologizes for buns mistakes bun gets a cute cg with Kitsune.

One time in dms soda all but confirmed that haiyu is autistic to me, but then went on to say that you cant hc him autistic to the public- later on i also found out that they called me ableist behind my back when im. literally autistic and even said i was seeing my own traits in him

This was a while ago but it still pisses me off when i think about it

I- Okay Soda. I think I had something similar happen. Though not directly targeted at me, Soda (and the server as a whole) said people hcing Haiyu as having BPD were ableist...

When I only do that because I see my traits in him..?

I'm not saying he's great or even good representation, but I definitely related to him more than I do any of the rest of the cast mental health wise.

Maybe Soda got mad because saying you hc him as autistic implies it isn't already canon /j

I can't say I'm surprised. Soda's whole thing seems to be putting on a show of activism but not actually doing anything positive for any community.

I'm not saying they have to be making huge cultural changes with their work, but jesus christ, telling your fans to... Not give death threats to people sounds like the bare minimum.

Former server member here the wtcd traumatized me so fucking much and I can’t think about it without panicking or being scared I couldn’t even break mutals with soda until after I braved up and even then I thought they’d send people after me and shit also they made me think for months my bipolar and or my bpd I don’t know which one since I’ve yet to book an appointment to find out as just that I had OSDD because I couldn’t be bipolar/bpd because I was just a system and they made me very delusion to the point I did believe I was a system and also btw they told a minor (13 they were 12 when they joined the server btw) that it’d be okay to take a sexual commission. Fuck you soda squee remi and the rest of your friends I hate you all I hope you and your sequel or what ever the fuck never happens and I hope everyone forgets you ever existed-I’m sorry that got so angry at the end 🥀

I am truly sorry that this happened to you. Sometimes I question if running this blog has any point to it, but then I see or hear things like this and I am reminded that the team behind wtcd is not a team of good people.

Even then, I still wonder if something like running a blog like this changes anything. Probably not. At the very least, though, it can give people a place to vent about these terrible topics.

I'd like to hope that's enough for the moment. It seems to be opening up at least some people's eyes to these issues.

I apologize for making this about me. You're situation must've been awful to live through and you genuinely don't deserve that, nor any hate soda's team tries to send at you. I wish you only the best moving forward.

i legitimately dont remember anything about ntombi being 'consumed by her addiction' could someone please elaborate on that for me

Basically at some point after the comic finished, in the wtcd server Soda said that Ntombi's death was supposed to represent her being "Consumed by her addiction" because.. she got burned, I think..? I don't actually remember how she died, but I know she was murdered, and it wasn't like she was taken by surprise while smoking or something.

Just a random thing Soda decided to say after the fact.

I feel like the only reasons people still support soda and wtcd is because they cry white tears and that they’re white you just know if a POC did any of the shit soda has done they’d get no support anymore all though I can’t recall if soda is white so take this with a grain of salt. Also I’m pretty sure half of the WTCD was white too like I honestly can’t recall In that server/on anything were I saw a POC wtcd fan again take this with a grain of salt but it all adds up kinda weridy tbh

I actually do remember a time a POC wtcd fan spoke up. They mentioned something about how Haiyu's backstory (He was adopted by a white woman, Soda implying this made him more 'privileged' somehow) was offensive/kind of terrible. Soda ignored this, I believe kicked and/or banned them, and bad mouthed them when they made a callout post about it. Saying Haiyu's backstory wasn't racist because "Their friend made it"..?

And then on the same day they badmouthed people for being upset about Haiyu, they made an apology post about it. So pardon me if I doubt the sincerity.

I am also unsure if it's my place to recount this story, but please note I am just trying to bring light to Soda's actions here. Perhaps they've grown from then, perhaps not. I have doubts, though.

Exactly. She didn't even die to addiction, wasn't she murdered by Ena or something? I hardly remember the latter half of wtcd if I'm being honest. Or any of it. My eyes just sort of glaze over whenever I try to read it, haha.

You're right, though. A better message could've been sent. Not all characters have to get a happy ending, obviously, it just feels like she was killed off more so to make Murin sad. Like you said, the symbolism was probably just made up after to make it seem smarter or more artistic something.

i have a new story! so, i came across soda's tiktok, they had posted a video about supporting fictives of problematic characters. previously, they had blocked me for talking about having a haiyu fictive on my instagram account. i commented something about them being hypocritical, and got blocked within, like, ten seconds. by the way, i didn't even mention haiyu by name, but within seconds the comment was deleted and i was blocked

Oh well now that's just terrible! It just shows how terrible Soda is. They can say they 'apologized' all they want, but it doesn't matter if they don't actually follow up on that behavior. It's all meaningless, empty words that do nothing but lull in those already apart of their hivemind.

Heyo! I don’t know what this counts as but here’s your daily WTCD/Soda/server slander?. Starting this off with I generally believe that the Wtcd sever is not safe and the mods aren’t helping I don’t have a lot to go off besides the fact the mods are okay with 20 year olds making nsfw jokes around a bunch of minors (the youngest of which were 12 to 13 which fucking yikes) and also I feel that with how the mods send mobs to harass people who sometimes only criticize WTCD it’s very worrying, My second thing is I think that one day Soda and Remi are going to cross a line that goes far far beyond the limit (not that they haven’t already but still) I feel like they both are actually dangers to others and just shouldn’t be online at all-Bride anon

Completely agree. It's already terrible enough that they (Self-admittedly just Remi, but it's not like Soda is doing anything to stop such behavior) are willing to send out death threats to people they don't like, but they're whole server just gives off rancid vibes.

The nsfw, the encouraged harassment, the mob mentality.. It's not good. They should be old enough to know better.

hey! back again, i might be a regular here because of autism deciding to hyperfixate on wtcd. anyway, this is very minor, but there's...such a weird obsession with the characters and sex? monokitty downloading porn onto the computers, the whole odotai/katsura/kitsune thing, the "haiyus only being nice to get his dick wet" thing, and the whole rant mamoru had about how he doesn't want sex early in a relationship. maybe its just me, but i thought it was odd. my boyfriend also told me that the host at the time of wtcd was 20, while the characters are 16, but i don't know if that's true

I noticed that too! I understand that they are 16, and 16 year olds do talk about sex, but.. The way it's handled feels weird. If that makes sense? Like, they can make sex jokes, and such, but I don't know if your killing game really needs to be sending a message about 'sex positivity' or talk about minors sex lives.

I'm also not sure if that's true, either? I'm not sure it is, but I also have minimal knowledge about Soda tbh. I can try and look into it.

i'm re-reading wtcd with my boyfriend and we're both discussing how bpd and npd coded haiyu is, like. there's no way that /wasnt/ intentional??? haiyu literally calls mamoru his "favorite person" once and shows so, so many signs of bpd! according to my boyfriend, who has npd, he also shows so many signs of that! its also pretty arguable that he's autistic coded, though that is a bit more of a stretch

Exactly! I swear, in the server they literally called him a narcissist, while at the same time Soda was writing up their apology (Which is why I simply don't accept it, by the way. I was watching them attack the people against them as it was being written.) and also using it in a negative connotation.

While I don't have NPD myself, it is extremely disheartening that they would use it on a character they hated, as it's already extremely stigmatized.

Same with BPD, while reading the fangan I couldn't help but notice the obvious coding going on? It's just disappointing to see how hard they try to vilanaize this character, when he's the character I related to most in the cast.

Hello I just honestly wanted to share my thought as an ex wtcd server member of just how much I look back at the like probably six months of my life I’ll never get back from that hell hole like it was really that toxic and awful I felt like i could never say anything without it starting shit also the fact adults were so comfortable saying s*dual stuff in front of teenagers was so damn creepy also Wtcd honestly sucks ass now that I look back on it I think people’s rewrites are so so much better (also I heard you might be helping with a soda callout and I honestly say go for it they deserve it)

Exactly. The server genuinely feels like a cult half the time. If you say one wrong thing you get insta-banned. It's honestly upsetting. So, yes, I think I might proceed with the callout. Or helping with it, anyways. Remi actually sent one of their friends to talk to me, trying to convince me not to do it. Sigh.

Oh well. Just be glad you got out of the hivemind, anon. I think this banning streak is acting as a real wake-up call for everyone.
