I think my favourite moment from Ep8 has got to be the bit where Seok Ryu tries the cold caramel popcorn that Seung hyo vrought for her despite her ex giving his two cents on it (which literally nobody asked for). That's more than just her choosing him. That's her saying "you know me so well, enough to know that I am craving it. nevermind that it's cold now, I still love it."

in a lot of ways, I see that as their friendship and romance. the writers made sure to use many metaphors to depict their friendship and romance—from kilns, the rainbow food that Seung Hyo liked, banana milk, to now caramel popcorn—to show that there's a part of Sepk Ryu that her ex can never have. it's a lot like what Seung Hyo tells his ex: he doesn't like Seok Ryu because they're childhood friends of the opposite sex, but because it's her. Because it's Seok Ryu.

The fact that they both recited the lines of Toy Story to each other with the excitement of five year Olds is everything I ever needed to see. this is why this trope works so well when it's done right: there's something deeply intimate about having lived together. there was no "finding" each other because they've known each other too long to do that. they've already had each other, first in friendship, and later in love.

HELP I just watched the ninjago episode Wrong Place Wrong Time and ITS LITERALLY INSPIRED BY BTTF AND I NEVER REALIZED because

3. THEY GET THE PAST VERSION OF SENSEI WU’S HELP JUST LIKE MARTY GOT PAST DOC’S HELP

4. They completely mess up time lmfao but they are desperately trying to get it back on track just like bttf

you know what sucks? the people that are out here monetizing the work of fanfic writers. WE cannot even make money off our fanfic, because it's fucking illegal. which is fine, because the IP doesn't belong to us. and it's awesome to be apart of a fandom and to create things together.

but apparently the fics that are going viral on tiktok, like manacled and all the young dudes, are getting turned into bound copies and being sold on amazon/etsy. this is infuriating. They are not only stealing the hard work of these authors/artists, but making money off them.

look at this shit:

They're charging people over $100 for fic that they didn't even write. I'm not even sure if these people are actually in fandom, or are just trying to make a quick buck off something going viral, or if they're just young and don't know fandom etiquette and also legality, but it is so gross. I seen an instagram account this morning that had auctioned off a copy of a dramione fic for $950. the account says they are a nonprofit, Book Bind for a Cause, but also says the funds will help them settle in Canada.

This is awful and upsetting, and I wish there was an easy way to get them taken down. It makes me worry about authors going after people writing fic again, instead of the people trying to make money off it. or fic writers just taking their fic down en masse

Look I get that they're probably just more relevant to the Northern plot of the story but I just find it weird that Allyria is betrothed to a marcher lord and there's no mention of Ned being invited to the water gardens....also Ned being named after the man who KILLED Arthur.....there is so much anger at and within that family GRRM explain....
