Friends, I think this might be misinformation. I could not find any studies backing up the fact that vitamin c affects absorption of adhd medication (if anyone has found any please send them my way). Also, I personally question how vitamin c being present in the stomach would interfere with the meds but stomach acid wouldnt. That being said it wont harm you to not eat any of the foods mentioned in the screenshot for a few hours a day but you might just be depriving yourself of delicious lemonade for no good reason.
(some online articles mentioned that vitamin c lowers the pH of your blood or just 'lowers the pH of your body', which prevents absorption. this is not true. your blood contains buffers to keep its pH within a narrow set range)
There are a lot of articles online repeating this information but they either provide no scientific sources or only reference the document linked above (which in itself provides no sources which is frustrating as hell). This becomes obvious because a lot of them mention the 1000 mg vitamin c dose. The daily recommended intake for most adults is <100 mg.
All that is to say, please don't take medical advice from tumblr at face value (including this addition. Im not an expert either). If your medications are having inconcsistent effects your should discuss this with a doctor or pharmacist if at all possible. Vitamin c is an important micronutrient and one of the easiest to obtain please dont stop eating fruit ok <3.
i know vitamin c basically neutralizes adhd meds but lemonade good

Business writings tips you cannot afford to forget!
Tumblr media
Use these business writing tips to make sure you write accurately and clearly and minimize the chance of misunderstandings. Make a writing plan A plan is a great skill to develop and really helps you focus on what you want to write. Use a plan to organize your ideas and structure your text logically and clearly. This helps you stay focused and relevant and ultimately, saves you time writing. Say why you are writing in the first sentence Help your reader understand why you are writing by starting with an objective sentence. Use phrases such as "I am writing to inquire about" or "We have been experiencing some technical problems with" Keep it short and sweet Don't make your reader have to wade through long, rambling sentences. Write concisely and clearly and use a simple sentence structure. Avoid falling into the trap of using over-formal words such as "hereby" and "herewith". They will make you sound old-fashioned and pompous and don't add any meaning to your sentence. Stick to your plan and only include relevant and necessary information. Link your ideas Guide your reader through your text by using linking words and phrases. Words such as "and", "because" or "however" make your text flow and prevent your sentences from appearing isolated from each other. Get the tone right The tone of your text is the "voice" that you use with your reader, and the one you choose depends on who you are writing to, and why you are writing. For example, if you are responding to a colleague's email, your tone will probably be friendly and helpful, while if you are writing a letter of apology to a customer, your tone could be polite and impersonal. Getting the tone right also means you need to think from your reader's point of view. For example, if you use "you should" instead of "perhaps you could" to your boss, your writing tone becomes over-direct, or even challenging. Similarly, if you give bad news without introducing it first with a word or phrase such as "Unfortunately" or "We are sorry, but…" your reader might assume that you don't care. Thinking about the impact your writing has will help you avoid giving the wrong impression. Keep your style appropriate and consistent Bear in mind the formality of the situation. Writing to a friend is very different skill from writing to your bank manager and there are a number of factors which determine the style, such as vocabulary choice, length, and complexity of sentence and so on. When in doubt, the safest course of action is to choose a neutral style to avoid sounding either too formal or too informal for the situation. End your correspondence by referring back to the reader Make sure your reader knows what the next step should be. If you are asking for help in an email, you could end "Thanks for your help". In a letter, you could write "I look forward to hearing from you." If you are replying to an inquiry, you could end the email or letter with "Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like further information". You could also end your correspondence by referring forward to a meeting, such as: "I look forward to meeting you next Thursday" or in an email "See you next week", or by asking the reader to do something, such as "Please sign and return the enclosed by the end of the month." Make sure your salutation and ending are correct If you start a letter with "Dear Mr. X" or "Dear Ms. X", end "Yours sincerely" (or in American English, "Sincerely yours"). If you know your reader quite well, you can start "Dear + first name" and end with "Best wishes" or "Best / Kind regards". If you don't know the name of the person you are writing to and start "Dear Sir or Madam", end with "Yours faithfully" rather than "Yours sincerely". You can also start and end emails in the same way as letters. But if you are writing to more than one person, you can omit the salutation completely and start with your objective. Other ways you can end emails is by writing "Thanks" or even "Cheers", but never "Bye". Pay attention to your punctuation Most common punctuation mistakes are made with capital letters, commas and apostrophes. Remember that commas are used in lists, and to separate clauses, to give a kind of "breathing space". Capital letters should be used for proper nouns, and in the first sentence of your correspondence. Apostrophes are used to show possession or contraction, but never for plurals. Edit your writing Read through what you have written to check for spelling and grammar mistakes. Typical mistakes are confusing there and they are, lose and loose, it's and its, for example. As you read your writing, check that you have followed your plan and that there is no redundant information. Save time and keep your boss happy by getting it right the first time. Dear k,
To be honest, i am not quite sure that saying anything would change anything but this is more of a save-your-time kind of letter than the typical informative ones. If i would say absolutely everything i have on my mind, it would take me years to complete it all. I shan’t delay it any longer my points in this letter are brief and concise, in a way. These things that i am about to say to you are straightforward in nature, but things are rarely as they seem don’t they?
My first and probably most important note that i would like to say to you is to not be afraid. Fear can be a heavy burden. Right now you are probably thinking about ghosts or monsters, but i am speaking of real tangible monsters that are a real threat to you and society. I know things will get rough and hard but i want you, nay, I NEED YOU to fight until you breathe your last. It is imperative that you know that the life granted to you is not for personal pleasure only, but to risk it to its very edge. The vigor that you have right now should burn eternally inside you even if you want to fall flat on your face. You will go through a series of different kinds of hardships like breakups, culture shocks, mental health problems and even death. Everyone is going through something and if you want to survive, you need to close your heart to the desperation, do not feel for them because they will certainly not feel for you.
At the stage you are right now, you probably think that you should do this and that to secure your future and whatnot but, I am telling you right now that it is okay to let it go, just let go. There are things in life that you cannot control. Gravity, death, life and love, things like these are out of our control and that’s the way it is. Sometimes we think that if we receive something negative, we have failed ourselves, I am telling you right now that this statement is entirely false. I am not telling you to be hopeless, I’m trying to tell you that it is okay to fail and fall down because it is part of life and the journey that builds who we are as a person. IT IS OKAY TO LET GO, let go of that toy you lost, that girl that moved away, that snack you accidentally threw away, all these things happen in a certain mechanism that ultimately build up who we are right now.
My third point is probably not new to you but eh, worth a shot. You should read more and I know what you’re thinking, yes those Geronimo stilton books you have right now are excellent starters book, but I do not want you to stop there, I want you to read more genres, more books with in depth plots and plot twists, explore romance and tragedy etc. I cannot emphasize how important knowledge is, knowledge truly is power. All your literary skills in reading and writing may seem boring and useless right now but trust me, people will pay you handsomely one day and envy your intellectual prowess. When I said read more, I meant in all aspects, not only on fictional books. The newspaper, autobiographies, memoirs and the like are all very informative and will help you in developing your cognitive skills in an efficient rate.
I know I know, you being an 8 year old this 4th point probably does not make any sense, knowing you but I want you to genuinely love more. Love your family, your friend, your pets and your life more. Loving is the purest form of positivity in your life. Loving is not a crime and it won’t cost you a penny. Look into the mirror and tell yourself that life is going to be awesome because the amount of life you give to life will be given back to you and that is beautiful in itself. The burning desire in reforming society will soon come unto you, so until then, I want you to love everything you possibly can, because love is what keeps us warm when fear and darkness engulf the land.
The road ahead is long and unforgiving. It is no place for a boy, only a warrior, which is why I do not want you to be sorry, but to be better. You are special and you will one day take up the mantle that I possess right now that will give you the power to change lives, to help those who need helping, feed those need feeding and kill those who need killing. Our dreams and aspiration is what will make us great. A lot of people will be smarter, stronger and faster but rest assured, none of them will have our character. Time is limited and you will understand all of this in ten years. Follow your heart boy. Farewell good hunter, may you find your worth in the waking world
