In the Mind of The Anxious Eye

When someone leaves you on “Read”, you immediately assume they don’t want to talk to you.

When you pull your shirt down. Again. And again. Because you have to adjust your appearance everytime you move.

When you’re afraid to voice your opinion first in a group discussion because you don’t want to be wrong.

When you assume that anyone looking at you, is judging you.

When the phone rings, and your stomach drops, because you never know what the person on the other end will say.

When the silence in a room feels so heavy you can’t breathe.

When the beating of your heart radiates into your ears, and your stomach starts to hurt because you’re making yourself ill with “what-ifs”.

When you take a picture, only to delete and retake it 20+ times because you don’t want to post anything not perfect.

When you cry because you’re emotionally exhausted from hearing anxiety’s weight.

When you can’t make consistent eye contact, all because you’re scared of seeming weird.

When you can’t order your own food in a restaurant, and you especially can’t go first.

When you pick at your food at dinner time because you don’t want to be seen as someone who overeats.

When you hyperactively perform tasks that people ask of you because you don’t want to seem run down.

When you shut down at random times from overstimulation.

When the world becomes too much even for existing, and you crave nothingness even for a moment.

Anxiety is ugly, and there’s many things that it can do to rear it’s ugly head. We just have to fight them.

When is it Time to Clean Up the List

the creation of abucket list is to decide what matters and the ambition of making a list all about the things you want to accomplish before you die. how realistic is that. same goes for people who keep a trunk full of things that mean something of importance. we are creatures of survival, keeper of hope, the dragons of our time. there is a problem with this: TIME we strive to fulfill our needs and wants without even considering time in this mix. we do not know what comes next or what will present itself. enduring defeat over all that we planned is a definitely a pat on the back but it is rarely enough.

if we look at 2020 in the present moment, we are faced with time change, chaos of isolation and people haven't adapted. this time has proven to bring out the worse and the best in what we can accept. we will never be able to go back to our normal way of life and the government will continue to flourish in its glory. communism, a word if we look back a little, that is what the world used to be when the government never gave freedom of anything. then, we had choices, freedom of speech. now, there none of that. we are now living in a time when people need to conform in order to survive. unity, dress codes and laws of professionalism. this is all to keep the public in line.

so what next ...

when the decision is made to return to our jobs, be able to shop without worry of a so called free spirit bug settling in our neighbourhood, will we accept the new list. Read the full article

I Wonder ( Writers and Their Choices)

Do we want the things in life to be easier? Do we want to be a part of the the easy living that life can’t always be afforded to everyone? I wonder about what kind of life we’d have if these things were afforded to us so easily.

This is the babble of a writer whose mind wants to comprehend everything that is often on edge of everything that was on the table for the taking. We, or rather I, as a writer, want to know everything. Everything that is unknown, the easy bits are the things that often plague the minds of the smartest and wisest people.

We, as writers, want to live and see. Writers have the tendency of living thousands of lives and in thousands of cities and world. We want the world that is in our heads to be the life we live. However, we can’t forget the broken one we actually live in, physically. The words and the imagination are the tools of how we create such things of the life that makes everything bearable to begin with. We’ve no use for the empty and void that was the thoughts of being grounded, when being grounded is exactly how the world is never be able to understand us.

On the good days, we are your friends and lovers, ready to face life on our own. The bad days, are the days of fear, this is where the writing stops and makes no sense and the worlds in our heads are mixed together. We are your nightmares and your grouch, needing nothing but a good page of writing to do be done. The worse days, are the days of intentions, exhausted, and we, the writers, face the worlds in our heads and the physical worlds together, we can’t write the more and less. We are the average.

Writers, I, will never forget the words we write in the moment we found the peace and perfect. It is in this for me, I find the moment in which the writing makes sense for the first time and that the writing was not the waste of time, I’d feared it to being. We, in that moment are not fearing anything, but accidental deletion.

I know that not all writers are the same in who or how we are, but we do have our moments of alignment of the average and stereotypical writer: we cry when we can’t find our muse or we found it and forgot it the next second. (This one hurts the most). The moment we want to drink and cry because something happened in our writing that it hurts. And more. We are not so far from the world of what is the writing in the life of what comes from the things that never ever make sense, even if the world thinks we’ve lost it. We are still at the typewriters or computer, typing out our hearts even when it hurts to because we still have not the muse to make the things in our hearts work.

We are still confined to the solitary and uneventful moments that follow. We become recluses, stuck to the desk or the room, in pajamas and in wanting of curling up into a warm blanket. We are writers who face the world with intention of making it in the imagination of our minds in the silence. I can’t speak for every writer, but I believe this is how we are often in the basis of every writer and their lifechoices.
