OMFG I just read something old and MANNNN. You got me feeling all types of ways holy shit. The most I’ve ever felt reading a series holy cow. You are so fucking talented. Wowza. Please continue with the blurbs I feel like they are part of my life now.
Also does the fans know about Y/N and Harry’s current relationship? How did they feel when things were first announced after the wedding was called off and their relationship was exposed for the first time?
omg helllloooo you angel on earth !!! this message is soo lovely and kind and idk what i did to deserve it. i am so grateful that you took the time to write me and that you love the story so much!! i appreciate this message more than you knoow.
sorry this took me ages to answer as an apology i essentially wrote you a blurb pls see below
so per harry and erin's teams' agreement, the public never knew a wedding was supposed to take place. anyone who worked it had signed a pretty ironclad nda & all guests in attendance knew to stay silent about it, though some of erin's friends did try to go to deuxmoi at one point months later but that got shut down pretty quick. when the press release about the engagement ending came out, there was obviously endless speculation about it, discourse, tiktoks etc. people had a lot of feelings about harry and erin's relationship, they either absolutely loved the fashion power couple or they absolutely hated it and it was best to avoid any and all discussions on the matter, made easier by the break up being announced when you were on pause and doing your best to ignore any and all celeb news (though you did do some google searches at 3 am when you couldn't sleep but it immediately made you feel terrible so you avoided it like the plague, knowing if you needed to know something, harry would tell you)
as for your relationship, you both kept it realllly low key and private for the first year, wanting the broken off engagement to become old old news before anything got speculated about the two of you, harry was pretty adamant about ensuring no one connected you to the breakup. it was much easier than it sounds, he can really disappear when he needs to and it was important to both of you to protect what you had, shield it from prying eyes. his relationship with erin had been highly publicized and he had no interest in doing that again and you couldn't agree more, you've got no interest in that world or leaning into the public eye, so that first year was quite lovely, going on dates around london, moving in together around his birthday, 8 months into dating officially but conventional timelines never applied to you both. if you ever were spotted out together by fans, any speculation got shut down pretty quickly, people recognized you as his lifelong childhood friend and had no reason to assume otherwise, which worked in your favor when his tour started up again and there was tiktok upon tiktok about how "yes you've been to more shows than usual but jeff's at every show and no one thinks he's dating harry so why would they think it about you??" you avoided it all but roxy loved to take the piss, sending you screenshots every so often when you would show up on her for you page with a text "cannot seem to escape this bitch" to which you would reply "just how many videos of h's concert were you watching to get this on your algorithm?"
its in december 2021, the start of his few months off before the work craziness resumes, a lazy sunday morning. you're lounging on the couch, half heartedly clicking through netflix when you hear him come back into the house from his coffee run, hearing snippets of the phone call he's having getting louder after he kicks his shoes off and makes his way towards you.
"Yeah, I'll talk to her 'nd get back to you." he says, as he turns the corner, still bundled up with his beanie and hoodie pulled over his head, brow furrowed as he listens to the other end while still balancing the coffees and bag of pastries in his hand. "Yeah, for sure. Okay I'll call you back. Love you bro, bye."
He hangs up the phone, placing the treats on the coffee table before taking out his airpods and shuffling over to you. He hovers over where you lay, resting his hands on the back and arm of the couch before leaning in.
"Hi," he murmurs with a soft smile on his face, leaning in to kiss you.
You shudder when you pull away, the frost from outside having seeped into his face. "You're cold," you say with a small frown to which he immediately rolls his eyes and nudges his cold nose down the side of your face, pressing kisses all along your cheeks, forehead, jawline, until you push him away with a giggle. He smacks one final kiss to your head before pulling away, tugging his hoodie off his head and taking his beanie off to shake out his hair.
He leans back to grab the coffee off the table, handing you your cup while throwing the bag of pastries onto your lap before he grabs his own cup, lifting your legs temporarily before settling on the other side of the couch, placing your ankles over his lap. He leans back, resting his head against the back of the couch and closing his eyes for a minute, taking a deep breath. You assume you're the "her" he mentioned on the phone earlier but you opt to give him time, peeling open the pastry bag to see what he picked up.
"Got something weird to talk to y' about." he says, making you pause in your rifling efforts as you look over at him, finding him in the same position, his eyes still closed.
"Oookay."
He squeezes your ankle once, opening his eyes and rolling his head along the back of the couch to look at you.
"There was a pap yesterday. Last night. On our walk. Don't know how but - here." He pulls his phone out of his sweatshirt pocket, quickly unlocking it before handing it over to you.
You feel an uneasy pit in your stomach as you swipe through the photos, though there's nothing bad or damning or embarrassing about them. Objectively, they're quite lovely. The two of you bundled up through the blustery London night, his arm wrapped around your shoulders with yours around his waist, him pulling you into his chest as you laugh, his chin resting against your head, then pressing a kiss to your hair. You both look happy, really, really happy, completely unaware of any eyes on you. You keep scrolling through and - ah. There's the most revealing one, the two of you smiling up at each other before he pulls you into a kiss with his hands cradling your face.
You can feel his eyes on you, intently watching every emotion that passes over your face, thumb rubbing circles along your ankle. It's so weird, is the thing. To see this intimate moment between you two captured by a complete stranger who you had no idea was watching you. You've somehow managed to avoid this happening up until this point, the combination of lawsuits he has against paps in London and being able to blend in with the crowd having worked in your favor for the last year. It's a bizarre feeling, to feel like you got too complacent in your own life, should've been more aware of your surroundings. But also? Fuck that. You're not going to live your life differently because of what other people are doing or thinking. They're the ones with the issue, not you.
"'m so sorry," he says, 'Had no idea -"
"No no no," you say quickly cutting him off, as you hand him his phone back, sitting up and taking his hand when he offers it. "No need to apologize."
"Daily Mail and a few others got a hold of 'em, that was Jeff earlier. He and Sadie wanted to see if we wanted them to run any kind of interference." he says, small frown on his face as he plays with your palm, fingers drawing mindless patterns. "The photos are getting published regardless but like they could try to keep you as a mystery woman or summat -"
You snort, shaking your head as you rest your forehead on his shoulder, his arms wrapping around you and pulling you close. It takes a second of rearranging your legs before you're sat on his lap, his hand rubbing up and down your back. You pull back to look at him, hands coming up to cradle his face. He leans into the touch, turning to plant a kiss to your palm.
"You okay?" you ask quietly.
He nods. "Just don't like getting caught off guard like that. Don't like that people who don't know us will get to -"
"Yeah."
"And I don't want to fuck things up for you. Like your job or -"
"Everyone at work already knew. And those who didn't met you last week. Most people are barely on the internet there, I'm not stressed. " you say, sliding your hands to rest on his shoulders as he nods, brow furrowed in thought.
"'s gonna be intense for a bit. Might be good to hop on a call with Jeff and Sadie, see what boundaries we can set, control what we can control."
"Yeah, that'd be good," you say, your mind whirling as the reality of the situation sets in, photos of you kissing your boyfriend splashed all over the internet. Christ.
"Hey," he says gently. "Talk to me?"
"Sorry," you say, shaking your head. "I'm good. Just - it's a lot. It's definitely gonna be weird, nothing I can't adjust to but still just. Bizarre."
"Yeah." he says, his hand coming up rest at the back of your neck. "You look really fit in the photos if that helps."
You laugh, watching as the smile grows across his face, his thumb catching on your jawline.
"It does, thanks." you say, smiling back at him.
"'m really sorry this can't be easier. Being with me -"
"Shut up." you say, surprising a laugh out of him. "Please. This is nothing. Easy to ignore at the end of the day. All that matters to me is you."
"Same here," he says, taking a deep breath, lips twitching up. "All that matters to me is me."
"You're so stupid, I knew you were gonna say that -" you say, laughing as you slap him on the chest, trying to twist out of his hold but he pulls you back in.
"'s you, 's you. You know 's you darling, come here." he murmurs, smiling when you press your lips to his, gripping your neck a bit tighter as he kisses you back. You know you have to call back his team, figure out some logistics but that can wait. All you want is right here.
---
so yes, the photos get published, the fans freak out. lots claiming they always always knew, many spending their time trying to piece together the relationship timeline, no one connecting it back to erin thankfully. it helps that she is busy with her new billionaire boyfriend, (you almost clicked on their architectural digest tour the other day before deciding against it). but you both really ignore it all, keep going about your lives, nothing really changes because you don't let it. you both still want to keep your relationship out of the public eye as much as you can, it doesn't stop fans or paps from taking your picture when you're out together but its easy to ignore it, just focus on each other, ignore the noise and the crazy corners of the internet.
he rarely talks about you in interviews, confirming you're together, maybe a brief mention or two of his girlfriend but refusing to go beyond that. it's only in his zane lowe interview in late 2024 that he goes into a little more detail when describing his inspiration for his new album, but at that point he's calling you something entirely different :) :) :)

𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 | 𝟎𝟑 |
[ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 ] | [ 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 ] | [ 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 ]
The last time anyone picked you up was when you were getting your butt kicked by your previous master. He’d grabbed you by the waist, easily lifting you and slamming you back down onto the floor in a swift manoeuvre.
This is exactly the reason why you’re unable to fathom someone carrying you without the intention to fight or harm you. You stare grumpily at Cole’s face, legs dangling off his arm as he carries you to the ambulance.
“I’m fine, y’know. You can put me down now.”
He barely spares you a glance, scanning the crowd for any more injured people. “You’ve sprained your ankle — must’ve been when you fell in that pit. You should get it checked out.”
“Oh, so now you show me concern?” Your sarcastic jab doesn’t go unnoticed, his brows furrowing under his hood.
“What’re you even talking about?” Scoffing, you roll your eyes at the audacity of this man. Luckily, he didn’t hear what you’d uttered before about him being your soulmate and whatever.
In the meantime, the paramedics had checked on other guests who had mumbled grievances about the auction being cancelled. On the other hand, the mayor had personally announced that they would hold it again soon after checking the museum thoroughly to avoid an incident like this again.
You’re surprised when Cole decides to remain with you, citing his duties as a ninja to come to the aid of any injured citizens. The other four are on a makeshift stage set up by the mayor’s team, standing proud and tall as he speaks.
“And lastly, I would like to thank the ninja for once again, being the heroes we need. Additionally, they will be doing another meet-and-greet on the new auction date.” He pauses, noticing someone gesturing to him to hand over the mic to another. “Additionally, it seems that Ms Hamla has something to say.”
Your stepmother walks onto the stage without a single hair out of place, still in her emerald gown. Your eyes narrow in suspicion from where you’re sitting on the chair Cole had managed to score for you.
“What’s she doing…?” Your mutter doesn’t go unnoticed, Cole turning to look at you with curiosity in his gaze. His eyes flit between your glare and the famous writer on stage, before voicing his question.
“Do you know her personally?”
Laughing, a hint of bitterness gives away exactly how you feel about that. “You could say that,” You answer vaguely.
“Hello, citizens of Ninjago. First of all, thank you to the ninjas for evacuating everyone safely and securing the status of the threat. Truly from the bottom of my heart,” Her eyes somehow find yours from the stage. You hold a steady, yet defiant gaze. “Thank you,” She finishes softly, finally looking away.
“I will be here again on the new date of the charity auction,” She continues, her strong voice carrying the weight of her words effectively, “and I will also be selling a limited edition of a new book I’m writing, titled: ‘You Complete Me’. All proceeds will go to charity. I hope you will be able to make it.”
Scoffing, you brush off the odd look the paramedic gives you before he finishes bandaging your ankle. Chatters break out amongst the audience, everyone’s invested excitement helping fuel the eagerness of the mayor’s team.
She better not be expecting you to come again, though. Once is more than the amount you’re willing to do for her. Your vision is blocked by a pair of concerned eyes, Cole having knelt to check on your ankle.
“I’m fine,” You repeat with a sigh, letting him scan the now bandaged ankle. Wincing when he presses down on a sore spot, you quickly mask it with an annoyed purse of your lips. “If you keep doing that, I might end up hospitalised.”
“Fine,” He quickly drops your ankle, sucking a sharp breath through his teeth at your glare. “Sorry…” The tinge of guilt in his smile makes you feel a little bad for being so mean, but the very thought of confronting him about anything makes you feel squeamish inside.
Pausing, you recall the hooded figure you saw in the room he’d found you in. Do any of them know…? The scroll they held looked valuable, and if there’s anything you’ve learnt from watching detective shows and reading mystery novels, it’s that it’s never a good sign to leave any stone unturned.
“Hey,” you begin, faltering slightly when he looks up at you with a doe-like gaze. You ignore it, pushing past the way your stupid heart kind of squeezes. “Earlier in the exhibition room, there was someone. They had a scroll in their hands and it looked pretty important.”
“Well, maybe it’s just a common thief. We get some of those around these parts.” He replies lightheartedly.
“The scroll was glowing.” Now that got his attention. The disbelief in his eyes is more than enough for you to crack an amused grin, tilting your head to the side as you observe the cogs in his brain starting to turn.
“Glowing?” He repeats.
You nod. “Glowing.” Now having his full attention, you begin telling him about your encounter, and how the stranger had fled through the skylight with the weird gauntlet they had. He listens to every word with intrigue, the space between his brows creasing more and more until a full frown is on his face.
“Thanks for telling me this,” He says once you’re done, standing back up and dusting off the specks of dirt on his gi, “I’ll be sure to alert the others. Can I have your number?” You hesitate, raising a sceptical brow.
He pauses, shoulders tense as he tries to clarify his intentions. “It’s so that we can ask you some follow-up questions if we have any, and maybe you can provide Zane with a description so he can do a sketch.”
So much for never seeing each other again.
“Fine,” you shrug, keying in your number on the phone he hands you and adding your name. He takes it back and gives it a quick call. You pull out your phone as it rings, swiping left to pick up the call before holding it to your ear and going, “Truth or dare?”
“Neither, unfortunately,” he chuckles, pocketing his phone after hanging up. “Thanks for the info. You can send me the medical bill for your ankle, the ninja fund will cover it.”
“Ninja fund?” You repeat incredulously. If there were an award for the worst names of a foundation or charity, you’d give it to him, no questions asked.
He turns with a grin. “Ninja fund.”
You hesitate for a split second before making a decision. “Let’s not meet again, Cole.” His back stiffens, his steps slowing to a halt, clearly having heard you. He turns slowly, eyes wide like a deer in headlights as the realisation dawns on him that you know that he knows.
“I’ll- uh, do my best, random citizen!” He replies robotically, lifting his arm in an awkward salute before taking off to where the rest of his teammates are. You watch his retreating back with a half-smile, filled with pure amusement.
“There you are!” You’re ambushed by a sudden hug, the shock fading as you lean into your father’s embrace. The judge’s wig he still has on tickles your nose a little, but you repress the sneeze that threatens to ruin the moment.
He pulls away, firmly planting on your shoulders as he checks you over for injuries. “I was looking all over the place for you. Did anyone hurt you-” His eyes finally land on your bandaged ankle, looking up with a huge frown.
The sheepish chuckle that slips past your lips doesn’t help your case. “That’s it. We’re going home now.”
“What about her?” You reluctantly nod over to Emily who’s getting swarmed by reporters, her calm composure somehow irking you even more than Cole did.
“She’ll be fine,” His eyes soften when he looks over at her. The sight makes you feel queasy, looking down at your shoes and fiddling with your cuticles, picking away at them. “Come on,” He helps you up, placing an arm under your shoulder and walking with you to the car.
“Also,” He adds upon closing the car doors after helping you in, “Your classes are supposed to start next week. So till then, no going out until you’re better.” He holds up a finger, stopping you in your tracks as you part your lips to protest. You slouch in your seat instead with an annoyed frown, glaring out the window. A thought occurs to you, inhaling sharply when you realise something crucial.
You forgot to get the rest of the ninjas’ autographs.

School is boring. That’s a fact you’ll never grow accustomed to. Classes are typical, with few lectures that grab your attention. Professors are mostly chill, though there’s a Miss Grenadine in every school it seems.
All the pain in your sprained ankle had faded in about a week, two days after classes started. Luckily, this meant that Dad wouldn’t drop you off at school every day anymore, and you’d be able to take the bus or train as usual.
However, the time taken for your ankle to fully recover meant that you were mostly cooped up at home with nothing to do except decorate or rearrange your bedroom however you liked. Dad had painted your room a soft grey and installed a few pieces of IKEA furniture you’d bought online.
Your room began to feel more cosy, more like your own personal space. Before you moved, you were too lazy to redecorate and kept the pastel blue walls you’d painted when you were seven years old.
Now though, you’re trekking out of the university with your tote bag and an iced latte in hand, trying to beat the heat by taking refuge in the shadows of tall buildings around. Your laptop is dangerously exposed in the bag, occasionally hitting your arm as you walk down the street.
Your phone begins to vibrate, playing the opening lines of a trot song that Nico had made you put in as a penalty for losing a bet. You’d grown used to the cheesy tune over time, no longer bothered by it and actually embracing how cringy it sounds.
“What up?” You greet nonchalantly, hearing your dad’s soft chuckle on the other end.
“Hey munchkin, just wanted to check if you’re on the way to the monastery.”
“Yeah, I think I’ll reach home by eight. Want anything?”
Your dad hums over the phone, pondering. “No, I’ll be fine. I’ll get dinner for Emily. Make sure you don’t stay out too late though, you’re not used to the city layout yet.” He was supposed to drive you to the monastery, but a sudden work emergency needed his presence and he had to let you go by yourself instead.
To be fair, it did require a bit of persuasion on your side. He relented after a while and sent you the location. You just didn’t know that it’d be absolutely sweltering in the afternoon. Spotting a boba store only a few feet away, you quickly end the conversation.
“No problem, I’ll see you tonight! Bye!” The monotonous dial greets your ears upon hanging up, approaching the bored staff member who’s chilling at the cashier. “Hi, can I get an Earl Grey milk tea?”
She keys in the order with lazy fingers, practically jabbing at the screen and telling you the price. Warily taking out the cash in your wallet, you hand it to her with a small smile. The boba is made quickly enough to your surprise, the staff member’s swift movements leave you impressed when she hands you the packaged cup with a blank stare and goodbye.
Sweet, sweet relief.
That’s exactly what hits your tongue when you take a sip, gulping down almost a third of the drink before finding some semblance of self-control. This won’t do. You need to get there faster than walking under the hot sun.
Flagging down a taxi takes only mere seconds, leaving you astounded by the sheer amount of drivers who halted in front of you before demanding that you should choose them.
City life is intimidating.
You choose to go with a friendly uncle who wasn’t as aggressive as the rest, sitting in the back and sighing in relief as the air-conditioning hits. “Where to?” He asks, shutting the car door.
“Uh,” you double-check your phone, “The monastery of Spinjitsu please.” He gives a single nod, beginning the drive. You relax your upper body, tilting your head sideways to ease your tense neck. The smooth drive kinda makes you a little drowsy, but mainly relieved that you’re no longer exposed to the heat.
Would your new teacher be young and agile, or old and wise? Wondering about the different possibilities of what he might teach you does make you feel sceptical. After all, Emily’s the one who signed you up for it without your consent.
Either way, you’re actually kind of excited to meet this new teacher of yours.
— — — — —
“There is no fucking way I’m climbing up this many steps.” you stare in disbelief at the stretch ahead, unable to even see a glimpse of the foretold monastery your phone directs you to.
The distance is unbelievable, let alone the amount of cardio this would mean for you. Sure, you’re somewhat fit from the occasional jogging and kendo, but this? You’re not sure you’ll make it up there alive.
Maybe there’s a lift or wheelchair platform…?
You look around hopefully, only to be utterly crushed by the absence of any potential aid. Shaking your head with a sigh, you mentally prepare yourself for the journey ahead. Luckily, you have your drink in hand, so perhaps doing this under the sun won’t be as bad as you think.
Fifteen minutes later, you very much regret choosing today of all days to check this off the to-do list. Gritting your teeth, you turn around and take a break, collapsing on the step and catching your breath.
You’d made it halfway so far, but the sun’s relentless heat continuously beats down on your back, practically sweating through the already thin material of your black tank top. Regret fills you with the memory of an identical tank top in white hanging in your wardrobe back home, the current colour absorbing even more heat than it should.
You’d taken off the chic outer layer and stuffed it into your tote bag, though it’s becoming heavier with each step up the mountain. “Out of all places, they chose a mountain,” You mutter heatedly, gulping down the rest of your now warm drink.
After a few more moments of rest, you pick yourself back up, groaning as the joints in your hips pop loudly. “I swear, when I get there, they better have a towel or something…” If they didn’t, you’d be damned sure to get your hands on some water at least.
Encouraged by the thought, you pick up the pace.
Twenty minutes later, you finally reach the huge, ornate doors that stand tall above you. Sweat drips down the sides of your face, and your shirt soaked with sweat. God knows how your armpits feel.
You barely have the strength to push the doors wide open, opting instead for a simple knock. There’s no response. You’re practically on your knees, hands placed flat on the ground from exhaustion.
Just as you lift a limp arm to knock once more, the door opens.
“...Can I help you…?”
Looking up, your eyes widen upon seeing a familiar face. The Ice Ninja mirrors your reaction, kneeling and offering you a hand. “Come in, let’s get you something cold.”
Summoning enough strength to nod, you grab his hand and pull yourself up. Tiredness hinders your normal movements but certainly isn’t enough to keep a snarky comment from escaping your mouth.
“You guys ever thought about relocation?”
— — — — —
A shower and quick change of clothes kindly provided by Zane leave you a whole new person. Towelling your hair dry, you hand Zane the towel he lent from the supply closet. “Thanks, Zane, I don’t think I could’ve survived any training, much less meet Master Wu as I was earlier.”
He chuckles, neatly folding the towel. “It’s quite alright. I understand our location may not be the best, which is why we always have a guest room and shower available for those who visit.”
Depositing the towel into a random laundry basket in the hallway, he continues to guide you through the area. “Those are Nya’s clothes, by the way. She doesn’t mind if you take them; they’re usually meant for beachwear. What brings you here?”
“I’m supposed to be a new student. Emily signed me up for lessons here, since I had to quit my previous dojo when we moved to the city,” You explain, pausing to stare at the courtyard with intrigue.
“Oh? What did you do there?” Zane asks, stopping with you. The children who take lessons at the monastery run amok in the courtyard with joy, practising their moves and playing games cheerfully. You’re simply amazed at how they’re able to tolerate the heat. “The walls are built with technology that keeps the interior cool,” he explains, sensing your curiosity.
“That’s a dream come true,” You sigh wistfully, wishing that it was installed into the mountains so that your journey here wasn’t so treacherous. “I used to learn Kendo.” You resume your walk, answering his earlier question.
“Kendo is difficult. It’s very admirable that you’ve learnt it, and are continuing to learn other styles of self-defence.” He brings you to a large room with a tea set neatly laid out on a table in the middle, soft mats covering the wooden floor. “Master Wu will be with you shortly.” You smile in response, giving him your thanks as you sit down.
Once he closes the door, you take a sip of the tea in front of you. They’d been so kind as to already put ice cubes inside your cup, and leave a cooler filled with more drink alternatives like soda to the side.
Say what you will about the ninja and their team, but they know how to treat their guests.
The wooden doors are rather beautiful, you note. Few beams of sunlight pass through, giving the room an almost ethereal glow. Upon placing a hand on the carpet, you notice the coolness seeping through. They must’ve installed something underneath.
Withdrawing your hand and taking another sip, you let out a happy hum at the relief that greets your butt. Impressed doesn't begin to cover how you feel. The atmosphere is tranquil, and you begin to absentmindedly watch the water streaming down a small waterfall in the corner of the room.
The sound of a door sliding open jolts you to your senses, fumbling to put down your teacup. Standing up to greet whoever’s walked in, you’re surprised to see an old man holding a cane staring at you from the doorway.
Is he your new teacher?
“Master Wu…?” You trail off cautiously, not wanting to offend the man in case he’s someone else entirely. He enters the room, sliding the door back into place before turning to assess you.
His gaze is filled with clarity and knowledge, scanning your arms and legs as if knowing how to read even the subtlest scars on your elbows made from blocking your previous teacher’s blows. “I take it that you are Emily’s daughter?”
“Step-daughter,” You correct, though the immediate tensing of your shoulders doesn’t escape his notice. He chooses not to address it, sitting down opposite you and pouring himself a steaming cup of tea instead. “You’re Master Wu, right?”
“Indeed I am if you choose to continue with your lessons.” He takes a single sip, his behaviour akin to wine tasting as he frowns at the tea in his cup. Ascertaining that it’s up to standard, he continues to sip away while keeping a thoughtful eye on you. “I take it that the climb was tiring?”
Heat tinges your cheeks, though you’re unsure as to why you’re so embarrassed. After all, it’s not like you dedicate your time to hiking up a mountain every day. “Yeah. I take it that you guys haven’t thought about installing a lift?” As soon as the words leave your mouth, you cover it in shock.
Damn your impulsiveness, you curse yourself mentally. Your dad already warned you about keeping your mouth shut at times like this. Your previous master even lectured you on it when you said goodbye. You sneak a peek at Master Wu, hoping that you haven’t offended one of the most powerful men in Ninjago City, literally and figuratively.
Instead, he regards you with an emotionless stare. You hold your breath, awaiting a rejection. However, he cracks a smile, rendering you speechless. “We will begin our lessons next Wednesday after your lessons. You can coordinate with Pixal on the schedule.” He picks himself off the floor, dusting off any dirt that had gotten on his robe before exiting the room.
The door slides shut, and your hands fall to your lap. Disbelief is all you can register, replaying a frame-by-frame of your interaction with him and trying to figure out what he found so amusing. Does this signal good news or bad?
“Did everything go well?” You look up to see Zane poking his head in through the doorway. Once he spots the pure astonishment on your face, he chuckles, sitting down in front of you. “He was smiling when he left, so I’m sure it went well.”
“I…I don’t know. I think I pissed him off?”
He shakes his head. “I don’t think so. He rarely smiles, so you should take it as a compliment.” His reassurance soothes your nerves somewhat, and you manage to muster a smile.
“Thanks again for your help Zane,” you say gratefully, walking back through the hallways. He stops by the kitchen to grab a bag with your clothes inside, handing it back to you. The very girl you borrowed clothes from is in the kitchen, eyeing you with intrigue.
“The outfit looks good on you.” You recognise her face from the newspaper, an embarrassed flush on your cheeks when you feel underdressed in front of Nya and her gi. “You can keep it. I’m Nya.”
You shake the hand she holds out to you, heart warmed by her kind smile. “Thanks for the clothes. I was pretty much drenched by the time I got up here,” you laugh. She grins at your joking words. “Are you sure I can keep these though? I mean, they do belong to you after all.”
“I’m sure,” she easily waves it off, grabbing your hands with an excited glint in her eyes. “I’m just glad there’s gonna be another girl around! How old are you, anyway?”
“She’s Cole’s age,” Zane chimes in. You cast him a wary look, surprised that he even knew. Well, that and the fact that you’re still getting used to your soulmate being the literal earth ninja. Luckily, it seems that he hasn’t told anyone here yet about the connection between you both.
“Oh, that’s cool! You’re like an older sister then,” She says happily. “Well, don’t let me stop you from going home to rest. I heard you had an injury not too long ago from the charity auction. Do you feel better now?”
You swivel your ankle with a grin showing it off proudly. “Got it moving and all too.”
“That’s a relief! Zane, you should bring her home. I’d ask Jay but…he and Kai are currently preoccupied,” she trails off, pointing to the other connected room that’s out of sight, a few yells and what seems to be game sound effects reveal what they're up to.
“Anyway, I gotta get back in there with snacks. It was nice meeting you, I hope we get to hang out soon!” You wave goodbye, watching her leave with a bowl of chips in one hand, a bottle of soda in the other, and another bowl of salsa balancing precariously on top of her head.
Ninja things, you reckon.
“So, how do you know my age, exactly?”
“Pixal studied up on you. Please don’t be offended, we didn’t dig too deep. We just do it in case a villain tries to slip into the monastery in disguise.” Zane holds his hands up, the innocence in his eyes drawing a laugh out of you.
“It’s fine. We’re good. Plus, I get it. I’d do that too. It’s hard to trust anyone.”
His shoulders sag with relief, guiding you past the doors and to a space on the side of the monastery. “Please step back,” He instructs. You quickly move a few feet away, unsure of what ninja stuff he might be up to.
A single wave of his arms summons a huge dragon with blue flames that cover its entire being. It roars in greeting, moving its head down to nudge Zane playfully. He chuckles, hopping atop the saddle on its back.
You’re frozen in place not by fright or terror, but by pure amazement at the being before you. You’d only heard tales like this in stories or legends, so to see an actual mythical being right in front of you is quite frankly mind-blowing. A multitude of questions race through your mind, only for a single one to stand out among the others.
“Do you like, not feel heat? Y’know, being a robot and all.” He pauses, seemingly amused by your question. He ponders an answer, a hand cupping his chin in thought.
“I suppose not, as I have an automated cooling system designed to regulate my temperature so I don’t explode.” He replies simply, reaching his hand down to help you up. “Now, where do you live?”
You part your lips, not giving it much thought when you say your address. Realisation dawns on you when you see the expectant look on his face, your lips pulling into a beam filled with utter glee. “Am I going to ride Fridgey back home??”
He cocks his head, bewildered by the sudden name. “Fridgey, because he’s cold? Like a fridge? Whatever, let’s go!!” You dismiss any questions as you eagerly grab his outstretched hand, awed by how high up you are. Thankfully, the dragon is cold to the touch, an assumption you’d made based purely on Zane’s element.
“I suppose ‘Fridgey’ is a somewhat suitable name.”
“Somewhat? It’s perfect!” You laugh maniacally when he takes off, holding tight to the sides of the saddle as you soar through the sky on a dragon’s back. When else would you ever be able to experience this? “Today is the best. day. ever!!!!”You whoop, daring to lift a single arm to feel the clouds.
Euphoria floods your veins, ignoring the concerned looks Zane sends your way. Breathing in the chilly evening breeze sends a rush of delight down your spine as if injected with morphine.
Nothing can get you down now, not even the soft rock music that begins to play in the back of your mind.
— — — — —
A knock on your bedroom door makes you turn, thankful to be distracted from your assignment. Opening it, however, multiplies the stress tenfold. Emily stands at your door dressed in her usual nightgown, pulling the cardigan around her in an attempt to calm down.
You remain silent, giving her the bare minimum courtesy of not slamming the door in her face at the very least. Waiting proves futile, however, and you’re unable to hold back your eye roll as she drags out what she’s trying to say.
The slight motion of you starting to close the door seems to bring her to her senses, finally revealing her intentions. “How are you feeling? I was so busy during the past few days setting up a new date for the charity fundraiser that I didn’t have the time to check on you.” She asks quickly, perhaps sensing your impatience.
“I’m fine. Look, I’m busy doing my assignments, so what did you want to ask? Besides, my ankle already healed a couple of days ago, so you’re kinda late to the party.” Sarcasm coats each word, unbothered by the hurt that flits across her face.
“I’m sorry…” She says quietly. You sigh, crossing your arms and leaning against the doorway, keeping the door open. It’s an unspoken sign that you’re willing to hear her out, whatever it may be.
She realises this, her eyes lighting up as she seizes the chance. “Do you remember the book I mentioned during the speech? ‘You Complete Me’?” You nod, raising a brow. She moves a concealed hand from behind her back, holding out an object to you.
“I, uh, saved you a copy.” You stare at the book in her hands, recognising the name on the cover as the very book she’s talking about. “I know it’s not your usual genre, but I was hoping maybe you could give it a read sometime…?” Her voice trails off hopefully, looking at you with an almost pleading gaze.
You mull over your options. Accept it and shove it somewhere in your room? Or reject it and get scolded by your dad?
Option one it is.
“Thanks.” You say shortly, taking the book. Delight fills her face, practically beaming when you do. She claps her hands together excitedly. “Let me know what you think when you’re done!” You wave off her words, closing the door behind you.
She’s too happy to be hurt by your actions, and her footsteps bound down the stairs with an enthusiastic note. Sighing, you push the book into a random bookshelf, mentally deleting the memory from your head.
Maybe you can sell it to get some money. You shake off the thought. She’d probably hear about it somehow, and that means your dad would know. You didn’t like the potential argument that would follow.
The book shall remain holed up for all eternity, you decide.
Collapsing back into your bed, you waste no time unlocking your tablet and checking your calendar for tomorrow’s appointments. A visit to the dentist, a quick stop at Papa’s Cakeria, then a quick session at the cafe nearby to finish the assignment you leave unfinished on your desk.
The bakery’s name makes you pause, a finger hovering over the black-coloured tag. Of course, you had to be reminded of your soulmate, now of all times. As if having his music occasionally filling your head still wasn’t horrible, the fact that you’d been overly cautious not to run into him again is a nightmare in itself.
The ninja is always around and about, and you’d already run into Zane a couple of times including earlier today. You’d met Jay once when he helped you get your purse back after a thief tried to run off with it. Well, you say helped, but in reality, he showed up just as you tackled the thief, using a random stick to beat him to a crap.
Thankfully, it seems that Cole is always updated about your location, making sure he’s never in the vicinity. Listening to music helps to gauge the distance, and though you’d never admit it out loud, you’re thankful for this soulmate ‘feature’.
Now though, the memory of your interaction during that night haunts you. Try as you might, you can’t deny that the pan au chocolat was one of the best you’d ever had. You pull up their menu, excitement flooding your veins when you see that they sell a multitude of different cakes, including red velvet. Luckily, orders can be made in person, and the fact that your dad’s birthday is coming up is the perfect excuse to order more.
He did say that you could use his name to speed up an order as a fellow cake enthusiast…
Biting your lip in thought, you decide to take a chance. Besides, what’s the worst that could happen? You’ve already made your disdain for each other evident anyway. It’s just a one-off thing.
Musketeer [ 10:00 PM ]: Hey, it’s your soulmate here. Was just wondering if the offer to speed up an order at Papa’s Cakeria is still valid?
There. Sent. You place your phone screen-side down, unwilling to submit to impatience for his reply. A ding alerts you to a new notification, abandoning all resolve and snatching it up eagerly.
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:03 PM ]: Yeah, of course. I promised after all, even if it’s you
You raise an offended brow, your temper flaring up again as you decide whether to keep being nice. Unfortunately, your love for pastries wins out.
Musketeer [ 10:03 PM ]: That’s a relief. I need to speed up an order for my dad’s birthday cake, and I was wondering if you’d be able to help me with that
You watch the floating bubbles on the screen that indicate him typing a reply, growing frustrated when it takes longer than expected. Is he going to help you or not?
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:07 PM ]: yea sure. What time are you heading there?
Frowning, you type a response, not thinking much of it.
Musketeer [ 10:07 PM ]: idk like 2pm?
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:08 PM ]: ok
Musketeer [ 10:08 PM ]: wait howre you going to help me speed it up??
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:08 PM ]: youll see tmr
“You’ll see tomorrow?” You mutter in bewilderment, about to type a response. However, stubborn pride gets in the way, and you turn off your phone instead, placing it on your bedside table. A chime indicates another message, but you refuse to check it.
Plopping your head onto the pillow with a huff, you try to quell the frustration you can feel building within you. It’s incredible how a short text exchange can get you so worked up over nothing.
“Calm down, he’s already agreed. You’ll get your pastries soon…” You chant to yourself in the form of a mantra, finally calming down fully. Whatever. You’ll find out tomorrow, you suppose. And if not…There’s always your new friend Zane who can pass on a message in your stead.
Satisfied with the thought of potentially exacting revenge, you begin to drift off with a smile.
Only to be interrupted by more soft jazz in your head.
— — — — —
“You’re back.”
Jay pauses his game, glancing over at his friend who’s just gotten out of the shower after returning from patrol. Cole raises a brow, adjusting the towel that hangs low on his waist. He grabs another, starting the process of drying his hair.
“I didn’t get any supper this time if that’s what you’re gonna ask.” He tosses the towel he used to dry his hair at Jay, the latter letting out a screech when it lands on his face. He chuckles, taking his time to scroll through his phone.
“That’s not what I was gonna ask, thank you very much,” Jay huffs, dropping the towel on the floor with a disgusted frown. An excited glint in his eyes is all Cole needs to see before realising that he probably wanted to talk or gossip about something. Probably gossip.
So, he puts down his phone and stares expectantly, waiting silently for his friend to start speaking. True enough, Jay immediately starts to talk about how Nya met someone new, and Master Wu taking in another student. However, the name that slips from Jay’s mouth is the last thing he expects.
“Who?” Jay repeats your name once more with a tilt of his head, not thinking much of it until he sees the baffled look in Cole’s eyes.
“Why? Do you know her?”
“Know her-?!” Cole stops himself from speaking, dragging a hand down his face with a frustrated groan. Every single day without fail he’d keep a wary lookout for your presence, and the moment a single note was played in his mind he’d flee from the area. “N-no, I don’t know her.”
You didn’t want him around, and it was made abundantly clear. But now, as a student of Master Wu, he’d probably get at least some of the ninjas including him to meet her!
Talk about a worst-case scenario.
He’d had just about enough. How is he supposed to get on with his life now? He sighs, wringing his head in his hands and completely forgetting that Jay’s still in the room with him.
“What’s with him?” He recognises the voice as Nya’s, lifting his head to stare blankly at her. Jay shrugs, choosing to resume his game instead of dealing with Cole’s possible mental breakdown.
“At least put some clothes on, damn.” She tosses a shirt at him. He puts it on without comment, running a hand through his damp hair as he tries to figure out how to deal with the bomb that Jay’s brought him.
“Anyway, guess what?” Nya’s chirpy voice distracts him for a moment. “I met someone new today! She’s supposed to be Master Wu’s new student. She seems pretty cool, and Zane said that she’s your age, Cole!”
Screw this. Maybe that invitation for a vacation from Vania is still valid. I could stay there for a week. Maybe a month.
Why is he even feeling this frustrated anyway? He’d done nothing to deserve this. Sure, he was a little rude or cold when you first met, but he had good reason to do so. Besides, he’s pretty sure he’s more than made up for it by quite literally saving your life.
Right?
“Cole? Did you hear me?” Jay shakes his head, nudging Nya’s side as she glances at him with concern.
“I already told him about it, but he pretty much short-circuited when I said her name,” Jay snorts. “You’d think she’s her ex or something-”
“She’s not my ex,” Cole deadpans, glaring at Jay from the corner of his eyes. “She’s just…someone I met before.”
“Ohhh….She’s an ex alright,” Nya whispers loudly with a nod.
Giving up, Cole heads back to his room instead. Trying to reason with them would be futile. His phone buzzes limply, the screen damp from the remaining shower water on his arms. Laying on his bed, he unlocks his phone and scrolls through social media, smiling at a thank you video a few people had made for the ninja.
The image of your figure standing close to him that night at the charity auction flashes through his mind. He tries to push it aside, but his mind keeps drifting to your sly gaze, and the playful smile that played on your lips during your conversation.
The same smile that vanished once you made eye contact with him as the Earth Ninja.
The phone drops to his chest, placing a hand on his face and rubbing it in hopes of curing it of the intolerable pang that resonates at the memory. He never needed a soulmate before, and he definitely didn’t need one now.
The soft fabric of the black shirt settles on his chest, bringing him some form of comfort as he wrestles with his thoughts. If Master Wu’s already accepted you, it just signals an inevitable meeting.
May as well start trying to be amicable somehow, so that no one can figure out the connection between you both.
But how?
As he tries to find a solution that would ease all his worries, the phone vibrates loudly. Picking it up, a text notification from you makes his heart drop. He slams the phone back down onto his chest, eyes wide.
Is this a sign?
Musketeer [ 10:00 PM ]: Hey, it’s your soulmate here. Was just wondering if the offer to speed up an order at Papa’s Cakeria is still valid?
Oh, that’s right. He processes the message, remembering that he had promised before the whole theft incident took place. He sends a quick agreement, though rereading it makes him wince.
Musketeer [ 10:03 PM ]: That’s a relief. I need to speed up an order for my dad’s birthday cake, and I was wondering if you’d be able to help me with that
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:03 PM ]: ok
He deletes the message, trying different variations of agreement before finally settling on one that he decides isn’t hostile-sounding or rude. Pausing, an idea hits him. His fingers hover above the screen, barely touching the keypad. The moment of hesitation doesn’t last long, however, when he finds himself typing a response and sending it faster than he can process.
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:07 PM ]: yea sure. What time are you heading there?
Musketeer [ 10:07 PM ]: idk like 2pm?
Is he really about to take the risk? What if you grow to hate him even more? He sighs. What is there to lose? If you leave, so be it. If you never see each other again, so be it. At the very least, maybe you’d be able to reach some form of an agreement to keep things civil between you two.
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:08 PM ]: ok
Musketeer [ 10:08 PM ]: wait howre you going to help me speed it up??
Cake Enthusiast [ 10:08 PM ]: youll see tmr
He sends another thumbs up before placing the phone on his bedside table to charge. Looks like he’ll be postponing tomorrow’s patrol.

Crissie's Messy Origin Story [REWRITE]
Heyyo! This updated version of my first CrissieBaby short story is a part of The Crissie Anthology Collection! Hardcover and eBook copies are available now on Kickstarter!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crissiebaby/the-crissie-anthology-collection
DISCLAIMER: This updated story contains humiliation, diaper usage, a super cute protagonist, and other ABDL themes. I hope you enjoy!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Sitting down at her desk, Crissie's lip quivered as her butt sank into the fluffy, soft, and slightly squishy diaper taped to her hips. The temptation to mush her hand into the base of her plush pamper was strong but she couldn’t give in yet. Not when her head was filled with so many creative and exciting story ideas that she couldn’t wait to get them out to make room for more! Sadly, those ideas were rarely accompanied by the motivation required to actually put words to paper. Gawking apathetically at her blank Word document for the better part of an hour, that temptation slowly became harder to ignore.
Unable to wiggle out from under the heavy writer’s block she was under, Crissie turned to the internet for some reprieve of the erotic variety. Unbeknownst to anyone else was her massive fetish for all things ABDL. She couldn’t explain what about this specific kink drew her to this fetish, but she had long since stopped caring. Different strokes for different folks, she liked to say.
Tabbing over to Xwitter, Crissie swiped through her lewd feed and smiled crudely at the artistic and horny expertise on display. “I wish I could make stuff like this,” she thought, lamenting that her art skills had never progressed beyond stick figures. However, that excuse fell flat when it came to writing, something that she was more than capable of creating if she wanted to. And yet, she always decided against it, as if it somehow made her fetish any less present in her daily life. A stilted sigh escaped her lips as she continued scrolling, attempting to cast aside her idle thoughts in favor of some libidinous recreation.
However, before Crissie could find the perfect art piece or messing video to kick off her nightly masturbation session, she happened upon a Xweet unlike any other she had ever seen. The post was from an account she’d recently followed. It said:
Have you ever wished you could write like a real Adult Baby?! Your new Master is here to help. DM me to get started 💕
Crissie was certainly skeptical as she examined the poster’s account, having followed multiple RP accounts in the past with mixed results. Beyond this one Xweet, the account had primarily been used for reblogging, giving her little to go off of. Returning to the post, she shrugged, figuring at best, she would find a new play partner, and at worst, she would waste a few minutes of her time messaging some bot. “Heyyo Master,” she typed, playing along with the original post.
Moments later, a set of three dots appeared beneath Crissie’s message. She waited for a response, only to raise a confused eyebrow as her computer screen instantly went blank. “Ah, frick,” she said, preparing to shuffle out of her cozy computer chair to reset her tower.
FLASH!
“GAH!” cried Crissie blinded by light emitted from the computer screen in front of her. She gasped, unable to pull her eyes away from the enchanting display. Within seconds, her chocolatey, brown irises changed color to a vibrant shade of magenta. Then, with no explanation, everything went black. She squinted her eyes, trying to adjust to her surroundings. Part of her wondered if she passed out somehow and hadn’t realized it yet, though she immediately dismissed this idea thanks to the familiar sounds and smells that her diaper emitted.
Given no chance to recover, a second, spectacular barrage of color swarmed Crissie’s vision. Only this time, it wasn’t the light of a computer screen but the luminous world around her that forced her to rub her strained eyes. To her surprise, the room she found herself in the center was much different than the shabby studio apartment she was used to. Gone were her bed, TV, and the vast majority of her Earthly possessions, finding a crib, changing table, and more diapers than she could begin to count in their place. And all of it was sized just for her.
RUFFLE!
All of a sudden, Crissie’s attention was dragged downward as her boring gray pajamas exploded into a pink satin babydoll dress with puffy sleeves and a skirt that came nowhere remotely close to covering up her diaper. Beneath her new dress was a diaper far bulkier than the one she’d changed herself into. This diaper felt like it was almost twice as thick and by far the softest she had ever worn. It was like her butt was perched on a cloud. She couldn’t stop it from forcing her legs apart, causing her to waddle childishly with every step. Speaking of steps, her feet were now clad in a pair of bright blue bed heels, reducing her mobility even more.
Despite not knowing where she was, how she got here, or who had dressed her up in such adorable attire, Crissie could barely contain her excitement. From the frilly dress to the bulbous diapers, this was everything she’d ever hoped to experience. Her excitement was short-lived, however, as she quickly noticed that her new and unexplained nursery was missing something very important. Namely, a door. All around her were pastel-painted walls with furniture to match, but not a single door in sight.
DING!
Right as Crissie was about to start panicking, a message alert drew her attention toward the pink, sticker-covered desktop set-up that had taken the place of her previous rig. The message read: “Hello, CrissieBaby. I’m sure your childish mind is very confused with all the changes I’ve made…”
Scoffing at the condescending tone the message was starting with, Crissie rolled her eyes and continued reading, “...Well, there’s no need to think about things like that anymore. Any thoughts that you still have in that silly head of yours should be dedicated to writing. Hop to it! The less time you spend writing, the faster your mind will regress. So, it looks like you’d better get started.”
Crissie couldn’t believe the words she was reading. This had to be a dream, or maybe some sort of elaborate joke. Backing away from the computer, she was beyond overwhelmed by her mind-bending new reality. It was terrifying to contemplate the idea of never returning to her old life. At the same time, it was hard to admit this wasn’t exactly the worst-case scenario for her. She’d always wanted more time to write, and now she technically had it. She’d always wanted to wear diapers full-time and now she could. Moreover, she’d always needed something to motivate her, and permanent regression certainly was a scary concept for a writer with too many stories left to tell. Maybe this wasn’t something she was supposed to question.
GRUUUUUUMBLE!
Without warning, Crissie’s internal debate was abruptly halted by the strongest urge to eject her bowels that she had ever experienced. Doubling over, she clutched her tummy tight as another message popped up on the computer, “Oh, I almost forgot to mention. I took away your potty training, so now you’ll never have to worry about bathroom breaks. Enjoy your new life, CrissieBaby.”
SPLOOOOORRCH!
Crissie’s face went pale as she found herself no longer able to hold the massive mess that had welled up inside of her. Her once slightly yellowed diaper now bulged with a distinct shade of brown as she unloaded her guts into the hungry diaper. Wave after wave of sticky, semi-soft poop hit her nappy so hard that she fell backward onto the ground, squishing the newly filled contents of her expanded diaper.
It was at this point that Crissie began to urinate...or maybe she was already urinating? She couldn’t even tell anymore. All she knew was that the diaper continued to swell as a swirl of embarrassment, frustration, and undeniable horniness descended upon her. She had never filled a diaper this much before, and it weighed her down like an anchor. And the smell! It was ripe and unmistakable.
There was little argument to be had at this point. Crissie was officially the baby that she always wanted to be, for better or worse. She looked down at her well-used padding with contented glee as she gave her plump padding a lustful shove. Every fiber of her being was telling her to drop everything and hump her doughy diaper right then and there. However, she resisted, yanking her hands away much like she had earlier that evening. She had far more pressing matters to deal with, after all.
With all the strength she could muster, Crissie lifted herself from her mushy throne and waddled over to the computer, planting herself down in the seat with a mighty SQUELCH! The mess beneath her wasted no time spreading itself up and around to the front of her diaper, only serving to increase her unending horniness.
Settling into her squishy seat, Crissie sighed contently as she looked toward the blank Word document. The white void that once filled her with dread now left her feeling reinvigorated by countless possibilities. She smiled warmly, knowing lack of motivation would never be a problem for her again.

we play with fire because we like the way it burns
a mob boss!nico x nurse!fem!reader au
I know this bar
Masterlist
Warnings: this is a mob au, bar, alcohol, underage drinking (Luke specifically and technically reader if her and Luke were in the same orientation group for college), a few swear words/name calling, Jack being bullied, a bet, Luke being bullied, mentions of past relationship trauma but no specifics, I think that’s it
Word count: 2.35k
A/n: I know the poll resulted in me without us, but I had this ready and writers block is kicking my butt. I also really wanted to get something out there after going awol. This is set before Luke, Lilly, and the tree. This is the bar referenced in that installment. I spent forever on this. I wanted to build the world of this au so I added more details. Enjoy!
“Are you sure it’s okay I go to the bar tonight?” You asked for what felt like the hundredth time to Luke.
He rolled his eyes. “Yes. Nico specifically asked me if you would like to come tonight.”
That was the first of you hearing that. Your eyes lit up, but you stayed still, adjusting your clothes and accessories. “Oh? He did?”
You hoped that you didn’t sound as excited as you really were.
Luke gave you a smirk. “And by the way you’re acting, I’d say you’re excited to see him.”
Your cheeks flushed as you turned around and shoved Luke playfully. “Shut up!”
“When will you just admit that you like him?” Luke was annoyed with how much you were acting like a lovesick teenager when he knew Nico felt the same way.
But Nico didn’t know that Luke knew. Jack got a little too drunk at his shared apartment with Luke and let it slip, but Luke made sure not to say that you felt the same way.
“How about when swine take to the sky?” You quipped back, knowing it would take Luke a second to figure that one out.
“Seriously?” He sassed once it clicked in his mind. “Just tell him! Or at least offer him your number. I don’t know how he still doesn’t have it.”
“So I can just be another notch in his belt? No thanks.” You deflected and looked to the floor.
Luke’s face dropped into a gentler expression. “I know the stories, but he is not this renowned player. In the year I’ve been here, I haven’t seen him take a girl home or go home with one. I obviously am not as close to him as Jack, but he does have a softer side. I just haven’t seen more than a glimpse or two.”
You looked up at your best friend with sad eyes. “I’m just a nurse. A nobody. Why would he ever go for someone like me?”
Luke sighed, wishing you could see yourself the way others do. “You are one of the most selfless people I have ever met. I mean, you basically offered to be a nurse for the mob. The mob! You have a heart of gold, and if he doesn’t see it, then someone will come around who will. But I’m telling you, shoot your shot.”
As he was talking, you looked down again and tried not to cry. You knew your self talk could be more positive, but it takes time. And after your bad luck with men in the past, you just were scared of getting hurt again.
“You say I have a heart of gold, but then why do people always leave?” You asked, sick of people leaving you when something new and shiny comes along.
Luke felt his heart breaking. He witnessed your bad past with men through college, and he wished he could do more to help.
You became his best friend and the sister he never had. As much as he definitely intimidated some guys that wanted to ask you out back in school, he knew you deserved the world. And he really hoped that could be Nico despite his reputation and job.
————————————————————————
As you walked into the bar, you felt your nerves reach an all time high. Sure, you’ve met Nico and Jack before, but you were meeting the majority of the mob. You knew that the bar was their official spot and it was mostly just members and their partners who frequented the place.
You felt like an outsider, but it only got worse as you got closer and Luke opened the door.
“You’ll be fine,” Luke said quietly as he held the door open for you and you walked past him.
You appreciated his words, but as soon as you stepped inside, you felt out of place.
Sure, Luke had said you looked perfectly fine, but that didn’t matter once you got inside.
You didn’t know what to do, so you just did your best to keep it low key and follow Luke’s lead.
Someone was already approaching the two of you, and you felt the panic rise.
“Hey Luke, is this her?”
“Yes, this is y/n, my best friend and our new nurse,” Luke introduced you.
“It’s not official,” you corrected.
“It might as well be,” Luke said. “You patched me up and looked at Jack’s hands the other day.”
“Anyway,” you said, subtly gesturing to Luke that you still didn’t know who you were talking to.
“And this is Dawson, definitely one of the friendlier faces around here,” Luke finally introduced the man in front of you.
You definitely agreed with that. While he was attractive, your heart wanted one man at the moment.
“I don’t know whether to be flattered or offended,” Dawson said, then took a sip of his beer. “Don’t just leave her standing here, get her a drink.”
“Let’s go,” Luke said, dragging you to the bar top.
“Nice meeting you,” you said as you walked away. You couldn’t help but be over polite because of your nerves.
Once you arrived at the bar with Luke, he ordered for the both of you. “Whiskey, neat. And a bubblegum cosmotini spritzer.”
The bartender whisked away. And made your drinks.
“Did you seriously order us those drinks?” You asked Luke, knowing he usually went for neither of those.
“Trust me,” he said.
“The last time you said that, I ended up needing stitches,” you reminded him.
“And you have a badass scar because of it,” he tried to lighten the conversation.
Before you could respond, the drinks were placed in front of you.
“One bubblegum cosmotini spritzer for the lady, and a whiskey neat for the gentleman,” the bartender said.
You just looked at Luke, waiting to see what he would say.
Before either of you could say anything, the bartender cracked a smile and said, “I’m just fucking with you, Luke.”
She carefully swapped the glasses around.
“Well played,” you said. “He absolutely does not like whiskey.”
“Oh, I know. Jack made him have it this one time, and Luke’s face was priceless,” she explained.
“The same thing happened in college but with someone else. It was great,” you said.
Luke was annoyed. “Are you two done?”
“Yes,” you said with a smile. “Wishing you had a different drink yet?”
Luke downed his drink. “I’m about to get something else.”
“Oh, I’m y/n, btw,” you said to the bartender.
“Luke’s best friend from college, right?” She asked.
You nodded. “Yeah.”
“He’s definitely whined about wishing you were here more than a few times,” the bartender said, continuing to frustrate Luke.
“I’m taking her away from here,” he said. “You two are mean.”
“You know I love you, Lukey,” you said, not wanting to stop messing with him.
The bartender smiled at the nickname since no one ever calls him that before being pulled to another patron.
“I regret bringing you here,” he grumbled.
“I told you, I would have been fine at home,” you said, despite actually enjoying yourself.
You both turned so your backs were against the bar top, and you scanned the crowd.
“Looking for someone?” Luke asked, knowing damn well you were looking for Nico.
“I’m just observing the crowd,” you claimed, lying through your teeth.
“Okay, sure,” Luke played along. “There’s more people to meet.”
And so, it began. Luke introduced you to pretty much everyone, just to make sure you felt comfortable around them.
It was clear as day to you that these people were a second family to Luke. And you knew your friendship was closer to one between siblings than just friends. So, you felt honored that he was willing to share this part of his life with you.
————————————————————————
At some point, Nico joined the crowd and was talking to Jack while overlooking the bar.
“Looking for someone?” Jack asked, knowing that Nico was definitely looking for you.
Luke had told Jack that you were finally ready to meet the rest of the family. Jack knew he had to keep pushing his boss’s buttons to get him to make a move.
“Just people watching,” Nico replied before taking a sip of his drink.
Jack knew that that was a partial lie, but let it slide.
Suddenly, you and one of the partners were hysterically laughing to the point where most people stopped and turned towards you, even for just a brief moment.
This intrigued Nico, and he definitely wanted to hear your laugh again.
After the laughter died down, Jack spoke up. “Are you sure you’re just people watching? Or are you really watching her?”
Nico sighed, sick of Jack’s shit. “Will you drop it?”
“Not until you make a move,” Jack said, determined to get the two of you together. “At least give her your number. It’s about damn time you manned up and gave it to her.”
Nico took another sip. “I’ll think about it.”
“Mmm hmmm,” Jack hummed, not believing his boss. “Well you better move quick, this is the third time Dawson is talking to her tonight.”
Part of what made Jack such a great second in command was his observant nature. Although, he could be clueless at times. But he knew you well enough and definitely knew the rest of the mob.
Nico clenched his jaw.
He should have known. Dawson could be such a flirt.
Maybe Nico really did need to make a move, and fast.
————————————————————————
If your heart wasn’t set on someone already, you might have thought Dawson was cute, and you might have flirted back.
But your heart belonged to someone else, despite how much you denied it to Luke. And yourself, but you had to fess up eventually.
You already noticed when Nico joined the crowd from his office Luke told you was in the back of the bar. That didn’t mean you had to go talk to him right away. The plan was to keep it low key and hope either the feelings either disappeared or he acted before you had to.
You tried really hard to focus on what Dawson was saying, you really did. But the second Nico arrived, your senses heightened and you became hyper aware of yourself.
“You’re not listening, are you?” Dawson said, finally getting your attention.
“Huh? Sorry. There’s too much noise,” you said, trying to cover for yourself.
“Ignore him,” Luke said. “His whole this is that he craves attention.”
“Hey!” Dawson was offended.
“I have to take her to talk to the boss anyway. They didn’t exactly get to know each other when she patched me up,” Luke explained, guiding you to the one man you dreaded facing because you knew you’d be about as awkward as Princess Ana meeting Hans for the first time.
————————————————————————
Jack nearly choked on his drink when he saw you and Luke walk towards him and Nico.
Nico, on the other hand, took a long sip of his drink to attempt to calm him as you walked over.
“Hey boss, Jack,” Luke said once the two of you arrived in front of Nico and Jack.
Jack nodded and uttered a “hello,” but took another sip of his drink.
Before Luke could say anything, you decided to jump in.
“We never actually officially met,” you said. “I was a little too busy patching up this guy. I’m y/n, which I know you know. But still. Nice to officially meet you.”
“Likewise,” Nico said. “Having a good night so far?”
You were caught off guard, not expecting him to ask that.
“Uh, yeah,” you said, once you recovered. “It’s nice to finally meet everyone. It’s a little overwhelming, but I’m managing.”
“I told you I could take you back home at any point,” Luke reminded you. “You don’t have to stay.”
“It’s okay,” you tried insisting. “You’re having fun. Everyone is having fun. I don’t want to step on any toes. I can just catch an Uber back or something.”
“If you want Luke to stay, I can always take you home,” Nico spoke up.
Both your and Luke’s heads whipped towards Nico. Even Jack looked shocked.
“You don’t have to,” you quickly responded. “I don’t want to impose.”
“I see these guys all the time,” he said. “This was my only drink.”
“Are you sure?” You asked, the nerves setting in more. “Like I said, I can just Uber back. I don’t wanna bother you.”
“It’s okay,” Nico insisted. “Gives us a chance to talk without these two.” He gestured towards Jack and Luke.
You hoped your cheeks didn’t flush as you spoke up. “If you insist.”
“I just need to grab my keys in back,” he said, going to go grab them.
Once he was out of earshot, Luke spoke up first. “What the fuck was that?”
“I don’t know, but you owe me $20,” Jack said.
“You bet on me?” You asked, insulted by Jack.
“Sorta?” Jack said, but it sounded more like a question.
“He bet Nico would make the first move, and I said you’d shut it down and push him away until you felt comfortable enough and finally made a move yourself,” Luke explained.
You couldn’t help but smile at Luke. “I’m glad my best friend knows me well enough to bet on that.”
You then turned to Jack.
“You, on the other hand, are an idiot,” you said.
“What did I do?” Jack said.
“What didn’t you do?” Nico spoke up as he finally rejoined the conversation. “What did I miss?”
“Jack being an idiot, so not much” you said while Jack yelled a “hey” at you.
“Love you too, dumbass.”
“You’re lucky you’re Luke’s best friend,” Jack mumbled.
“I’ll message you when I make it back to mine,” you told Luke. “I will see you in a few days for movie night. Do not drink too much.”
“One more after this, then it’s water,” Luke promised you. “Drive safe.”
You hugged him then followed Nico out the door towards his car.
You just hoped you could make it through the car ride without embarrassing yourself.

Hey can I Request a headcannon of the ancient Heroes (and dark enchantress I guess) reactions and Feelings towards a new hero in town with the powers of Spider-Man.
Bonus points if you add references towards the villains.
The Fantastic Spider-Cookie!
dark cacao, golden cheese, hollyberry, pure vanilla, white lily (not really x reader but uh you can think of it like that if u wanna this is mostly just a random au tho)
summary: how do the ancients react to the new superhero in town?
warningns: mentions of fighting, possibly ooc golden cheese/white lily? (written before their release), also not proofread sorry im tired
confused at first. also very suspicious of the new hero. just who is this cookie, and what are their intentions?
he tries to uncover the identity of this strange hero, but to no avail.
after a few months, he eventually gets used to the presence of the hero. as long as they aren't causing too much trouble, he doesn't have a problem with them.
he does find it a bit annoying whenever spider-cookie gets slammed into the side of the citadel by doctor octopus cookie during a battle though.
as soon as the new superhero shows up, she's interested.
she really wants to know who spider-cookie really is, but of course, she can't find any solid evidence that could lead to their identity, which leaves her a little frustrated.
sometimes she can't help but wonder why exactly spider-cookie decided to use their powers to help the city, but she's not complaining, soooo....
cheers (rather loudly) whenever spider-cookie ends up triumphant after a long and fierce battle against the spot. also gives the hero a high-five if she has time after the battle.
she's surprised when the hero shows up for the first time, but she certainly welcomes them with open arms.
she tries to ask spider-cookie directly who they really are, but, obviously, the hero keeps their identity secret. she doesn't really mind, through, as long as they continue to keep the city safe.
she tries to get to know the cookie. she's curious as to what they're like and why they decided to use their power for good (and if they'll be her drinking buddy).
after spider-cookie wins an arduous battle, she can't help but have a feast in their honor to celebrate.
very confused when spider-cookie first shows up. like who?? are you??? why?? do you have spider powers??? h U H????????
he is happy that the new superhero is helping take care of criminals though. it makes him less stressed while he's working.
he does get a bit curious about who the mysterious hero really is, but he knows not to butt into other cookies' business.
he does get a bit worried whenever spider-cookie has to fight a villain, but he knows the hero is plenty capable of defeating them.
confused and surprised when the hero shows up for the first time. also a bit concerned, since she's not really sure what spider-cookie's intentions are.
she tries to figure out the identity of spider-cookie of course, but obviously she can't find any leads.
after a little over a year since the hero showed up, she eventually gets used to the hero being around the city. of course, she's still a bit suspicious of them, but she figures that if they wanted to do something bad, they would have done it by now.
she's always happy whenever the hero defeats a villain though. it makes the city safer and makes her work easier.

Can you expand more on what would’ve happened if Leo/Mikey/Raph had been the ones to end up being taken by the brother Kraang? I love your work and I’m sorry to hear about your writers block! Hope this helps! ❤️
For sure! Thank you for the ask! I’m not surprised those concepts caught on lol so I think I’ll probably go into some more details on 1) the ideas of what would happen and 2) why I’m writing new hardware with Donnie and not one of the other bros lmao
Putting some of this beneath a cut bc this one’s gonna be LONG.
The Tear AU
In an AU where Leo is taken instead of Donnie, the Krang would have to work fast. Donnie has a tracker on Leo, and even if the tracker is taken out of him at some point, it would at least give the others a much smaller area they have to search. However, Leo’s use of portals would be able to help in this, since the ability to get Krang matter wherever and whenever the Krang wants could give them a huge advantage. It would probably be a much shorter story, since the turtles have a very limited amount of time to stop The Tear and the Brother before things just get absolutely out of hand, but they’ll be able to actually get there to deal with the issues and start fighting relatively quickly. Leo probably isn’t super conscious while any of this is going on, since even though he’s good at strategizing, the Krang probably wouldn’t see much virtue in Leo keeping his capacity for thought and just use him as a portal generator.
The Guard AU
Sorry Raph ily but this would be the least fun for me to write I think lol. You definitely CAN make the “Raph gets krangified again” plot work, but it’s not something I personally wanna dedicate too much headspace too. The whole of the movie was basically this plot, and it would mostly be Raph and the Brother trying to free the other Krang, get the key, all of that stuff. There could definitely be some fun angst of maybe with him critically injuring a member of his family, but most of what can be done here has already been done. There also wouldn’t be much of Raph fighting back bc the Brother Krang (or at least my idea of him) would just kinda. Turn off his brain since it’s not really useful to him.
The Battery AU
In the case of Mikey being captured, it’s probably the most interesting out of the three for me. Most likely how the plot would play out is that Michelangelo is captured, and the Krang probes his memory to find out about the bad future and decides to try and use that power. He brings Mikey back to his den and then there, uses Mikey’s powers to tear open a doorway to the bad dimension and to try and bring the successful Krang and their army in through the portal. Mikey either breaks out or is rescued at that point, and the rest of the story is focused on the brothers fighting off the Krang from the alternate dimension. Mikey being injured in some sort of way from having to use that power is definitely a possibility and some good angst too.
The way New Hardware works and the trope it plays off for me is the idea of the “smart guy” (Donnie, in this case) and what would actually happen in a way if they were removed from a plot. Over and over again in rottmnt and in other media, things can only “get started” once the characters have information to go on, either by convenience or by getting it from somewhere. Characters like Donatello are catalysts in the literal definition, speeding up the process of the plot by getting characters the information they need to go start kicking butt or getting into the action and all that.
Think about the movie, and think about what would have happened if Donnie wasn’t there, if he hadn’t implanted the trackers in anyone. It’s brushed over and then played as a joke that those trackers are there, but the fact it’s brushed over is just an example of how important those characters are to a narrative. They didn’t have to look for Raph that much, they just knew where he was and could focus their attention of fighting the bad guys to get to him instead.
The point of New Hardware is 1) because Donnie is my favorite character and unfortunately for him that means I like giving him angst and 2) to show what would realistically happen in a worst case scenario when characters don’t have that convenient information to go off of anymore. Information is a type power as people say, and without Donnie on their side, they’re at a big disadvantage when it comes to intel.

My requests are open!!
English is not my first language!
A/N: thank you so much for the request! and sorry for the wait, lately i have had some writers block:( but i hope you like it! let me know what you think!💚
“Rebecca, me, and Al are heading out. Don’t be late! Love you!” You left a voice message for your wife. “Alice, hurry up! You don’t want to be late!”
“I’m ready!” Your daughter excitedly said as she ran from the stairs. “Where is Mama?”
“I think she is riding from her office, she had some important meetings today. You know how it is nowadays.” You said giving your daughter a side hug to cheer her up.
Alice had a big match today, her team is going to play in the finals. Schools around the area agreed to hold a friendly competition in football for kids. Your daughter always wanted to play so given the opportunity she immediately jumped in. And now she played for Richmond Primary School with Phoebe.
“I can’t wait for her to see me on the field! I have been practicing extra hard! Even Uncle Roy complimented me!”
“Oh wow! I’m so proud of you little bean! Now I’m sure you will win!” You smiled at her through a rearview mirror.
The ride wasn’t long, and your daughter buzzed with excitement throughout the entire ride. Football was her element, she loved playing. And even more, she loved talking about it with your wife, Alice always wanted to make her other mother proud. To be honest you always thought that what pushed her into starting playing football was Rebecca owning a club. She was always surrounded by players and basically grew up with them must have made some impact on her.
“Okay, before you run away from me. Come here, give me the biggest hug!” You said to Alice. “I love you so much and I’m so proud of you! Go kick some butts, Al!” You kissed her head one more time and watched as she sprinted toward her teammates.
Starting to walk to the field, you grabbed your phone out of your pocket and called your wife, “Hey darling, we are here already, when will you arrive? Please call me back, love you.” You left her another voicemail.
“Y/N!” You heard a low voice call, when you turned you saw Roy and quickly made your way toward him.
“Roy, hi! Long time, how have you been?”
He greeted you with his growl. “Good. These fucking kids are keeping me occupied. You?”
“Pretty good. Working and taking care of little troublemaker over there. Nothing changed since we saw each other. How do we feel about today's game?”
“If they don’t fuck anything up then we will win but I have no fucking idea, they are fucking kids.”
“Let’s hope for the best, right?” He only left out another growl. “Excuse me for a minute, I need to make a call.”
You grabbed your phone out, only 15 minutes left to the match. “Rebecca, where are you? Please get here.” You left yet another voicemail.
You walked around the parking lot, trying to calm your nerves and distract yourself from worrying about your wife being absent. On your second or third lap, you saw a car pulling up, immediately rising your hopes up. But that wasn’t Rebecca's car, you sighed defeated.
“Oi, I have never seen someone so sad to see me.” You heard Keeley's voice. “Jealous, angry, turned on yes but sad? Never.” She laughed making you smile a little.
“Hi Keeley, sorry it’s not you. It’s wonderful to see you.”
“Yeah, it’s good to see you too. So tell me what’s going on?”
“Did you see Rebecca today? She is not here and I’m worrying that she forgot.” You couldn't help but check your phone again, hoping for a message or call from your wife.
“Shit, no, sorry babe. I know that she had some meetings today, but she will make it.”
“Yeah, I hope. I don’t know if I have more excuses. Al is really excited about this match and her Mama seeing her play. I don’t want her to be sad because of Rebecca's absence.” Keeley listens to your rant while you walked to the field. The match was planned to start in minutes.
----
And they won. Richmond Primary School won the first friendly championship with your daughter scoring one of the goals. The screams and shrieks of excitement were almost deafening. Girls from the team ran to Roy and jumped on him celebrating their win. You and Keeley clapped and screamed the loudest, happiness buzzing in your body.
Alice stood surrounded by her teammates, holding their championship cup ad smiling widely. You snapped a couple of pictures of her to keep the memory. But when you looked at your phone and there wasn’t any message from your wife, you felt only disappointment. How could she forget?
“Mommy! Mommy! Look we won! We won! Did you see me score that goal? That was awesome! Or did you see me doing that pass to Phoebe, and she scored her goal? Mommy that was so fun!” Alice ranted about the game and you were trying to keep up with her words. You saw that she was looking around, searching for Rebecca, and saw her smile slowly fade away. Damn you Rebecca.
“Where is Mama?” She whispered to you, her eyes tearing up a little.
You kneeled to her height, “Mama got caught in work, she really wanted to be here. And I know she is really proud of you! Just the same as I am. She will tell you that herself when you tell her all about that match.” You tried to cheer her up a little, but the tears that welled up in her eyes started rolling down. You were angry and disappointed, how could she forget about her daughter? You heard a few sniffles leave your daughter, “What do you think about getting some ice screams and junk food and watching films all night?”
“That would be fun, Mommy. But Emily and her mom invited the whole team to a sleepover and I don’t want to miss it, can I come? And we will have ice creams and films tomorrow.” Alice said, her excitement coming back a little. You couldn’t help but smile, how you loved this kid.
“Yes, of course, little bean. We will come home for you to change and pack your bag for a night and then I will drop you off at Emily's house, how does it sound?”
“Awesome, Mommy! I will be right back, I need to tell Emily I will be there!” She said and ran off to the field.
----
Rebecca was still not home when you came back. You checked your phone again and there was still no message or call.
As you sat on the couch a glass of wine in your hand, waiting for Rebecca, you tried to calm yourself down. You felt a mix of emotions - anger, disappointment, and sadness. Your daughter had been looking forward to this day for weeks, and you had expected Rebecca to be there to share the joy with you and Alice. But instead, she had chosen to prioritize work over her family.
You knew that Rebecca had an important job and that she often had to work long hours, but you had always made it clear that family came first. You couldn't understand why she had forgotten about the match and why she hadn't bothered to call or text to let you know that she would be late. You felt like she had let you down, and even worse she had let Alice down.
You knew that you needed to have a conversation with her about what had happened, but you also knew that you needed to approach the topic carefully. You didn't want to start a fight or make things worse, but you also didn't want to let her off the hook too easily.
Finally, after what felt like hours of waiting, you heard the sound of Rebecca's car pulling into the driveway.
“Honey, Al! I’m home!”
You took a deep breath and prepared yourself for the conversation ahead.
“Where were you?” you asked, trying to keep your tone neutral.
“Office, I'm sorry, I got caught up at work,” Rebecca replied, sounding tired. “Where is Al?”
“At Emily's. They have a sleepover.”
“So we have the house to ourselves?” Rebecca smirked.
“Do you know what day is today?” You asked trying to stay calm, you looked at Rebecca’s face and that told you everything, “You missed the match,” you said, your voice rising slightly.
“That was today? Fuck. No, no, no I had a reminder set on my phone.” She quickly said grabbing her phone from her purse. “FUCK! I put it on silent because I had meetings today. Baby, I’m so sorry, shit.”
“I’m not the one you should be apologizing, Rebecca. She was so excited to have you there, and you didn't even bother to show up. How could you do that to her?” you said, your voice trembling. “She wanted you to be there so bad, to make her Mama proud. For fuck’s sake she is playing football because she wants to have more in common with you. And you can’t even show up because of work?” you said, trying to control your anger.
You sat down on the couch, still feeling a mix of emotions. You took a sip of your wine and looked at Rebecca, who was sitting next to you.
“I'm sorry,” she said again, her voice barely above a whisper. “I know I messed up. I should have been there for Alice, and I should have checked my phone. I’m so sorry. I don’t know why I forgot that.”
You nodded, appreciating her apology but still feeling hurt. “I know you're sorry. But this isn't just about today, Rebecca. This is about all the times that you've put work before our family. Alice is growing up so fast, and we can't get these moments back. These opportunities and memories are flying right in front of you. And you are missing out.”
Rebecca squeezed your hand, her eyes filled with tears. “I'll do whatever it takes to make it up to her and to you.”
“Yeah, I know but this doesn’t make everything better. You always are saying that you will be there for her next time and what? You had work. You can’t just make it up to us, you need to show up and be there for her, for us.”
“I know, you're right. I'm sorry,” Rebecca said.
“We agreed to do all of this together. I love you and I need you to put in some effort because I can’t do this alone. I won’t leave you alone with all of this, we're going to figure this out together. We are a team, remember?”
Rebecca nodded, her eyes filled with tears. “I know. And I want to make it right.”
“We need to come up with some kind of plan or schedule,” you said looking at her. “Something that will ensure that you are there for these important moments, no matter how busy you are.”
Rebecca nodded in agreement. “You're right. I need to find a way to balance work and family. I know. I messed up. I'll make it up to her, I promise,” Rebecca said, reaching out to touch your arm.
“And maybe we could get Al involved in the planning. She might have some ideas about what she wants to do.” You said, feeling a sense of hope.
As you talked things through, you felt a sense of optimism. You knew that it wouldn't be easy to change old habits, but you were both willing to try. You loved Rebecca, and you knew that she loved you and Alice. Together, you could work through anything.
----
The next morning, you woke up feeling a sense of determination. You were going to make things right with Alice, and you were going to work with Rebecca to ensure that this never happened again.
When you arrived at Emily's house to pick up Alice, you could see the excitement in her eyes.
“Hey, little bean,” you said, kneeling down to her height. “How was the sleepover?”
“It was great, Mommy,” she said, smiling. “We watched movies and played games all night. But I missed you and Mama.”
“I missed you too, Al,” you said, feeling a lump form in your throat. “I'm sorry that Mama couldn't make it to the game yesterday.”
“I know,” she said with a sad smile on her face. “But it's okay. I still had fun playing, and I know she will be proud when I tell her about the match.”
“I'm glad to hear that, Al,” you said, feeling a sense of relief. “And Mama is really sorry that she missed it. She is waiting at home for us and I think she has a surprise for you.”
Alice's eyes widened. “Really?”
“Really,” you said, nodding. “She's going to show it when we arrive.”
Alice excitedly told Rebecca all about the game as you walked into the house. She showed off her championship cup and the medal she had won, telling Rebecca all about the goal she scored and the pass she made that led to another goal. Rebecca listened intently, her eyes filled with pride and joy.
“I'm so proud of you, Al,” Rebecca said, hugging her tightly. “ And I'm sorry I couldn't be there to see you play, but I knew you were going to do great. I love you so much, my little troublemaker.”
“No worries Mama, I forgive you. I love you too.” Alice beamed at her.
You watched the interaction between Rebecca and Alice, feeling a sense of relief wash over you. You knew that it wasn't going to be easy. But together you can conquer everything.
As the weeks passed, you noticed a positive change in your relationship with Rebecca. You felt closer to her than ever before, and you could see that she was making a real effort to be there for your family.
One day, as you sat on the couch with Rebecca and Alice, watching a movie, you felt a sense of contentment wash over you. You looked at your daughter, who was snuggled up between you and Rebecca, and then at your wife, who was already smiling at you. You leaned over and kissed her, feeling a sense of love and gratitude wash over you.
You knew that there were still challenges ahead, but you also knew that you were ready to face them together, as a family.

Hi guys! So I just kinda realized I never really made a proper advertisement/introduction post for either of my ongoing fics, so I wanted to fix that.
So yeah, hi everyone, I’m Angel and I’ve been reading fanfic since elementary school, and posted my first fanfic back then. It was bad, but whose elementary school fanfic wasn’t? Anyway, I like to think I’ve improved as a writer since then, so here’s my first fanfic on Ao3, Straight As (like- A as in the letter. Also it’s a reference to the song you’re thinking it’s a reference to).
Have you ever wondered what things were like for Chen the Cheerleader? You know, that one off bully character from The Lego Ninjago Movie whose existence was only to show how much everyone hates Lloyd? Probably not, right? Well, I’m here to give the answers you didn’t know you needed to a question you didn’t even convince of asking! From long forgotten connections to one of the ninja, to the true nature of his seemingly picture perfect family, Chen Amber lives a much more complicated life than anyone expected. But, hey, at least he has a giant snake to help him through it all.
So yeah, I’d love it if y’all gave it a read and hopefully grow to love Chen as much as I do! Writer’s block and burnout’s been kicking my butt, but I promise the next chapter is in the works!

Hiiii! I’ve been hesitant to ask because I’m not sure if you’re in this fandom, but could you do a fic for Suki from ATLA? Definitely older cause she’s like sixteen in the series, but one where Reader is Katara/Sokka’s older sister and she instantly falls for Suki. (Reader has a thing for women who can knock her out) Have her be a secret water bender (ya know, cause Katara) and like Suki catches her bending. Reader begs her not to tell and Suki is like “only if you let me train you.”
Maybe a smut scene after practice, it’s totally up to you! But I would love it if you wrote this, I love your Arcane work! Oh! And Reader has loooong curly hair like past her butt! Thank you!
Can You Keep a Secret?
Suki x Fem!POC!Reader
Author Note: You don’t understand the excitement I felt seeing an ATLA request! Writing this helped my writer’s block, too, so thank you for that! I am in both fandoms ATLA and TLOK! I have also read the Kyoshi novels for future reference ;)
Warnings: ATLA Spoilers (Season 1, Episode 4), Young & Dumb Sokka, Older Suki, Waterbender!Reader, Accidental flashing, Cute Flirting, Teasing, Playful Training, Suki kicks your ass and you’re into it, First Time, Hickeys, Fingering, Praise/Compliments
Summary: You tried your best to hide your bending, but Suki managed to find out within a few hours. You beg her to keep the secret and she agrees… only if you let her train you.
Your head was spinning from the events that happened within the last few days. Not only did your little sister find the Avatar, but you nearly got a face full of fire! It didn’t help that you were hiding your bending ability. You wanted to drown that stupid kid for attacking your family. He was lucky that Aang came in when he did, or you would have sunk him under the ice. Then there was the heartbreaking revelation at the Air Temple… so, it’s actually relieving to you that Aang wanted to go on a little break. You were also really enjoying traveling by Bison. You really enjoyed feeling the wind in your hair. It also helped that if you found the right spot, you couldn’t hear them talking over the loudness of the wind. It was your favorite place to take a nap until you shifted over.
“Stop bugging her, airhead.” This is the first thing you hear as you tune back into the conversation, causing you to open your eyes, “You need to give girls space when they’re doing their sewing.” You raise an eyebrow at that. ‘Where did he get that from?’
“What does me being a girl have to do with sewing?” Katara asks.
“Yeah, little bro.” Sokka jolts as he realizes you’re awake and listening, “What does being a girl have to do with that?” He’s silent for a moment as he tries to figure out the words to say.
“Simple. Girls are better at fixing pants than guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that.” He shrugs, “It’s just the natural order of things.” Your eyes feel like they’re going to pop out of their head as you look at your brother in disbelief.
“Really?” You say coldly, “I guess I should stop hunting then since I’m so horrible at it.”
“I’m all done with your pants and look what a great job I did!” Katara says too sweetly, tossing his pants at him. They hit him in the face and he panics, realizing that there’s still a hole in them. He looks to you for help, but you close your eyes and pretend to go back to sleep. What he said concerned you. Where did he get those ideas from when you were the main caretaker of the family? You hunted, gathered firewood, and took care of everyone. That’s why you were so reluctant to leave in the first place. Your people needed you, but Gran Gran was persuasive.
By the time you landed, you wanted nothing to do with the group. Sokka and Katara had been bickering nearly the whole time while Aang kept trying to get your sister’s attention. You found it funny at first, watching this kid try to impress your sister while not knowing how to interact with her. You were silently cheering him on but it was painful.
“I’m going to go over there. Spirits know I need a moment to myself.” You point off to the side where there is a bit more of a private area, “Don’t do anything stupid.” You pointedly look at Sokka.
“Why are you looking at me?!” Sokka protests, “You should be saying that to Katara! She’s already done stupid things!”
“Oh, really?” Katara scoffs, “Like what?” You watch them bicker for a moment before shaking your head. ‘They wonder why I’m always hunting.’
“Don’t you want to see the Elephant Koi?” Aang asks you.
“No, I’m good. I’ll check them out later since we’re camping here.” You give him a reassuring smile. You glance at the two behind him who are still arguing and roll your eyes. There wasn’t a moment where your siblings weren’t at each other’s throats. It got tiring trying to be the mediator so you stopped. You just let them hash it out. You walk away from the group, looking forward to getting a little bit of alone time.
Now in a private place, you pull off your coat and strip down to your undergarments. You would have invited Katara along but between Aang wanting to impress her and your social flame going low, you chose against it. ‘Some peace.’ You smile to yourself. You find a place to sit in the sand and get comfortable. The sand was warm, already heated up from the sun, and felt wonderful on your skin. You sigh in contentment, laying back to enjoy the area's warmth. If you were back home, you would’ve been bundled up to avoid the cold. It didn’t bother you much, but it got frustrating sometimes. Having a chance to show some skin and not have the possibility of freezing to death is wonderful. You were excited to travel the world, even if you’d miss Gran Gran back at home.
You were probably lying down for a total of five minutes before you heard screaming. Your eyes snap open and you jump up from the sand. You’re sprinting back to the group before your mind can even process it. You gasp in shock seeing a giant sea serpent chasing Aang across the water. Your fingers flex, itching to jump into the water and help him as you get to the bank with your siblings. It wasn’t necessary though as Aang comes flying out of the water and collides with Sokka. You flinch as they get thrown back into the trees.
“Sokka! Aang!” You shout, running to them with Katara. You give Sokka a concerned look seeing him slumped against a tree while Aang looked fine.
“What was that thing?” Katara questions.
“I don’t know.” Aang responds, putting his clothes on.
“It might have been a sea serpent of some kind.” You put a hand on your hip, “Dad used to warn me that some hung out in the water near the ice floes. That’s why we didn’t go there for my initiation.” They all look at you as if they just realized you were there before shouting and turning around. You blink in confusion.
“Y-Y-Y/N!” Katara shouts, her face an impressive shade of pink, “Where are your clothes?!”
“I heard screaming. There wasn’t time to put clothes on if something was wrong.” You deadpan, crossing your arms over your chest, “I’ll go get them now that I know you’re all okay.”
“Great! Then we can leave!” Sokka says, not turning back, “I am not sticking around to find out what that creature actually is.”
“Yeah, yeah.” You wave him off, turning around and heading back to where you left your clothes, “I’ll help you get ready to go once I’m dressed.” You leave them by the trees. ‘There is a lot Katara and Sokka haven’t been exposed to.’ You frown. ‘Our age differences have affected them a lot more than I would have liked. I was thirteen when we lost mom. I had more than enough time with her to learn about waterbending or go adventuring with Dad. They’ve been sheltered for far too long.’
You find the area where you left your clothes and pull your tights back on. You exhale, sad that your moment of peace has gone just as fast as it arrived. You bend down to put up your tunic, straightening up to dust the sand off and the next thing you know a figure drops down in front of you. Your feet are swept out from under you before you can react, and the person grabs you by your chest wrappings as you fall. You’re yanked forward by them, but you feel them come undone as they’re not as secure as they should have been. The gang's haste to get into the air the other day didn’t give you the time you needed to do a warrior wrap. The person in front of you gasps as the wraps fall away, suddenly spinning you around and blinding you. You let out a yelp as your chest is exposed to the air, but your tunic is on shortly after. Ropes are tied around your upper body, pinning your arms to your sides. They pick up your body, drape you over their shoulder, and start running. ‘That happened way too fast.’ You think, dazed. That couldn’t have been more than a minute. You don’t even have the words to say, honestly. You were surprised. Very surprised. Who could move like that?! The only time you moved that fast was while ice skating! Were there people who could move that fast normally? Aang didn’t count because he’s the Avatar. Who knows the extent of his abilities.
You weren’t sure how long it took, but your body was tied to something after a while. From the sounds of it, the others were right next to you so at least you don’t have to worry about that. You shift your body, trying to figure out how exactly you’re tied up. You practically jump out of your skin when you hear someone talking.
“You four have some explaining to do.” A man’s voice sounds.
“And if you don’t answer all of our questions, we’re throwing you back into the water with the Unagi.” A woman says after him.
“Show yourselves, cowards!” Comes from your idiot brother somewhere to your left.
“Oh sure, Sokka. Call the people who tied us up” the blindfold is removed from your eyes, “cowards.” You hiss, then go silent as you see a group of girls standing in front of you. The man you heard was with him, but he was the only one.
“Who are you? Where are the men who ambushed us?” Sokka demands.
“There were no men.” The woman in front scoffs, seemingly irritated by that question, “We ambushed you. Now tell us - who are you, and what are you doing here?”
“We-” You try to speak but Sokka speaks over you.
“Wait a second, there’s no way a bunch of girls took us down.” You can hear the amusement in his voice and it makes you want to smack him. How many times do you have to yell at him for him to understand that it’s not just the men in your tribe who do things? Besides, the woman was clearly agitated, and saying that would only make it worse.
“Sokka, you’ve got to be kidding me.” You sigh.
“Bunch of girls, huh?” The woman grabs Sokka by his coat and leans in threateningly, “The unagi is going to eat well tonight.”
“Please ignore my dumbass brother!” You shout, getting her attention, “He does NOT speak for the rest of us!” You glare at him.
“Then, I’m sure you can answer my questions. Since you seem to be the oldest here.” She stands in front of you and you meet her dark blue eyes, “Who are you? What are you doing here?” Her voice was lowered and it was spoken in more of a threatening manner than before.
“We’re from the Southern Water Tribe. We were just passing through and wanted to relax before continuing.” You swallow, feeling intimidated, “That’s all, I promise.”
“It’s my fault.” Aang speaks up, from somewhere past your brother, “I’m sorry we came here. I wanted to ride the Elephant Koi.”
“How do we know you’re not Fire Nation spies?” The man hisses accusingly, “Kiyoshi stayed out of the war so far and we intend to keep it that way.” That makes you scoff in anger. How dare he accuse you of being a spy for that wretched nation! As if you’d want anything to do with the people who destroyed your family!
“This island is named for Kiyoshi?” Aang sounds oddly happy about that, “I know Kiyoshi!”
“How could you possibly know her? Avatar Kiyoshi was born here four hundred years ago. She’s been dead for centuries!”
“I know her because I’m the Avatar.” Aang says making your jaw drop. ‘He did not just say that out loud! Why would he tell people that after I told him to keep it a secret?!’ You panic. ‘If these idiots would have let me handle this, I could have gotten us out by now! But, no, don’t let the adult handle this!’
“That’s impossible! The last Avatar was an airbender who disappeared one hundred years ago.” The woman shakes her head as you drop yours in exasperation.
“That’s me!” You can practically hear Aang’s grin. You were going to strangle this kid the moment your hands were free. Avatar or not!
“Throw the impostor to the unagi!” The man commands. ‘So, he’s likely the chief.’ The women snap out metal fans and move closer to surround your group. Your eyes widen and you internally curse that your hands are bound. There was nothing you could do to help your situation.
“Aang, if you’re going to claim that you’re the Avatar you need to prove it!” You tell him, not liking the sight of those fans, “Do some air bending!” There’s a gust of air and you hear the people gasping in awe. Whispers fill the air as Aang floats down and you feel relieved as you hear the Chief say that he believed him. They threw a feast in honor of Aang’s arrival and you were shocked to see so much food on the table. You were hesitant at first, but Aang insisted so you ate until you were satisfied. The Chief and the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors joined your group. Thankfully, Sokka was too engrossed in stuffing himself with food to notice the warrior sitting with you. If he had, you were sure dinner wouldn’t have been as pleasant as it was.
“Hello.” The woman greets you as she takes the seat to your left.
“Hello.” You greet her politely.
“I wanted to apologize and introduce myself to you.” She brushes her hair behind her ear, “I’m Suki, the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors. I’m sorry we ambushed you like that. While we live away from the mainlands, people have been begging us to join the war. It’s been going on since before I was a little girl. We’ve been very careful with newcomers.”
“That’s alright. I understand that. My village was raided by the Fire Nation when I was a teenager. After that, the men in the village refused to let anyone who wasn’t from the neighboring villages in.” You reassure her, “You were only protecting your home. I can’t blame you for that when I would do the same. It’s admirable.”
“That’s a relief. Thank you… but um… that’s not all I wanted to apologize for.” Suki rubs the back of her neck, lowering her voice, “I was the one who jumped you on the shoreline. You looked to be around my age, so I wasn’t sure what training you might have had.” Her words sink in and you begin to feel mortified.
“I saw your chest and I wanted to let you know that wasn’t my intention.” She whispers, and you think you see her face turning pink, “I’m very sorry for that.”
“I-It’s okay.” You frantically wave your hands, “I’m not upset about it at all. At least you had the decency to cover me.”
“O-Of course! I wouldn’t do that to another woman!” Now she’s waving her hands frantically, “Not unless they wanted me to, but that’s not- I’m going to stop talking now.” She facepalms, making you laugh at the absurdity of the conversation.
The mess that was your first conversation didn’t do anything to ruin the rest of them. You found yourself talking to Suki the most as you were sitting next to each other. She listened intently as you talked about your life at home and what you did for fun. Unfortunately, you had to leave out anything that involved waterbending. Katara was the one who talked to Suki about that one. But, you learned about Suki’s life on the island and how it was her dream to become a Kyoshi Warrior. You congratulated her on becoming the leader and she made a soft comment that had you raising an eyebrow, “It’s rewarding to train pretty women like you.”
You weren’t new to flirting. You were lucky enough to interact with people outside of your tribe before your dad left. It’s just been a while since you’ve had a chance. So, you fell into it. You flirted with her, and she seemed to be into it. You couldn’t believe your luck. You’ve been gone from home for such a short time and here was an attractive woman hitting on you! The end of dinner made you a little sad, but you had the itch for some more alone time, so you asked one of the islanders where you could find a quiet cove or something close to it. They directed you to one on the other side of the island that’s past the training building for the Kyoshi Warriors.
It was a good distance to walk, but that meant you wouldn’t be bothered by anyone either. With your siblings and Aang preoccupied, you took the chance to sneak away. It felt like the perfect opportunity to get some waterbending practice in. You let out a slow breath, moving through the meditative poses your mother taught you as a child. It helped not only to relax your body but your mind when it got too unfocused. And, it was definitely too unfocused. There was something about Suki that got into your brain. You couldn’t stop thinking about her. Knowing that she was the one who took you down earlier made you flustered. You’ve never come into contact with anyone who can do something like that.
So, once your body is focused, you let your awareness spread to the rolling waves in front of you. You smile to yourself as you lift the water and bring it towards you. It whirls around your body, the soft whooshing sound of the water bringing you peace of mind.
“Okay, mom.” You exhale, widening your stance slightly, “Guide me through the exercise.” You move through the waterbending techniques your mother taught you, steadily going faster and getting harsher with each re-run of the sequence. Your muscles are used to the movement, due to training over and over again. At some point, you’d have to break the news to Katara. She’d be pissed with you for keeping this a secret, but she wasn’t ready. You couldn’t teach her something that could kill someone if she couldn’t control her anger. You will never forget the day you nearly speared your father with an icicle during an argument.
“You didn’t tell me you were a bender.” A voice comes from behind you, making you shriek. You whirl around, the water following as you whip it at whoever snuck up on you.
“Ouch!” The person yelps, clutching their side and you realize that it’s Suki.
“Oh, Spirits! I’m so sorry!” You gasp as she looks at you with an impressed look, “Are you okay?!”
“It’s okay!” Suki giggles, rubbing her side as she moves closer to you, “I guess we’re even after what happened earlier today.”
“I guess we are.” You chuckle, “Are you sure you don’t want me to check?”
“Well… I’d have to remove everything so…”
“Oh.” You blink, “Then, I’ll take your word for it.”
“Anyway, that was some impressive bending. How come you didn’t bring it up when Katara was talking about it?”
“My brother and sister don’t know. Our mom trained me in secret in case my siblings couldn’t bend. I haven’t told Katara for various reasons.” You sigh, running a hand over your hair. It was the one conversation you were dreading.
“Hmm, is the reason because you’re so good at it?” She says flirtatiously, “If you had fought me with it this morning, I might have been the one retrained.”
“I doubt it.” You flirt back, “I could just freeze you in place.” You demonstrate by sneakily freezing her feet to the ground. She gasps, tugging on her ankles to try and get them unstuck.
“Then you wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere.” You giggle, giving her a playful shove. Suki laughs as she pinwheels, unable to fall.
“You’re interesting, you know that?” She grins, watching as you melt the ice and pull the water back to you.
“Says the woman who took me down in seconds.” You chuckle, “I have never been so confused in my life.” She could take you down that fast and had the strength to lift your body. You found that kind of attractive.
“Will you show me your bending?” Suki questions, leaning forward on her tiptoes, “I haven’t seen waterbending like yours up close before.”
“Only if you keep it a secret.” You get a raised eyebrow in return, “Please, Suki. I can’t have them finding out right now.” You give her a pleading look. She makes a face like she’s contemplating what you said. You bite your lip, wondering if she’d tell them about your secret. She didn’t seem like that kind of person, but you only just met her. She tied you up and planned on murdering you without a second thought, too. It was to protect her people but…
“I’ll keep it a secret.” Suki agrees, a teasing smile on her lips, “But, you have to let me train you. You’ll need to know how to protect yourself.”
“Deal!” You hurriedly agree. That earns you a big grin from Suki and you spend the last of your daylight waterbending for her. She seemed dazzled by what you were doing. She asked you questions and even attempted to do the moves with you. For the first time in forever, you didn’t feel alone while practicing. She made you laugh and even tried to surprise attack you! You managed to hit her away, but you suspected she made it easy for you.
Once the final dredges of sunlight were about to disappear, Suki took your hand and guided you through the woods. She said you could use the actual training building because you’d be the only ones there. With the arrival of Aang, she had given the others the evening off. But, it will be right back to work tomorrow morning.
“This is where you practice?” You gasp. The building was very simple on the inside with a large open space. There were some weapons hanging on the wall and two doors at the back of the building.
“Yup. From sunrise to sunset.” Suki turns to you, putting her hands on her hips, “Now you’ll get the chance to see how we train.”
“So, why did you want to train me?” You question, letting her pull your hair out of its ponytail. You shake it out and blush at the awed look Suki gives you. Your hair was very long. You took great care of it since there wasn’t much to do in your free time.
“If you’re going to keep pretending you’re not a waterbender, you still need to be able to protect yourself.” She retrieves a box and has you kneel before her, “So, I’m going to walk you through our traditions.”
Suki takes the time to get you dressed into the robes the Kiyoshi Warriors wear. You’re almost surprised at how heavy the robes are on your body. If they wore this and managed to move that quickly, they must be inhuman or something! It interested you, and you found the way Suki talked so proudly about it to be cute. You listened to her closely, letting her put the makeup on you as she explained the history behind it. Once that was done, it was time for practice.
“We’re going to move through some motions, so spread your feet apart like this and bring your elbows into your body.” Suki demonstrates. You mimic her and she stares at you intensely as you do. A few seconds pass before she walks over to you.
“You want to come down a bit farther.” She puts her hands on your hips and pulls your body down some more. You feel your breath catch in your throat as she manipulates your body. Although you had no skin exposed, you could feel her touch lingering on your skin. It felt like the air was heating up between you two. She watched your body movements, using her own hands to support you or correct your form. You stopped breathing when her hands moved up your body, feeling dizzy in a different way. Your gazes lingered, and you watched her lips move as she talked.
“You’re doing a great job!” Suki compliments you, “You’re a natural at this!”
“Thank you.” You feel fluttery hearing her say that, “It might just be because I have a great teacher.”
“A great teacher is only made by a great student.” She winks at you, making you giggle.
“Can you show me your moves in action?” You tilt your head, “Slowly, at least. I’d like to be able to see it this time.”
“Okay, get in position across from me.” Suki motions with her hand, and you do as she says. You lock eyes, getting lost in her gaze. A moment passes and then Suki becomes a blur. You gasp in alarm, feeling her grab your arm out of nowhere. You’re yanked forward and you feel your body flip through the air. You let out a grunt of pain as your back hits the floor and Suki pins you to the ground. Your jaw drops as she smirks down at you.
“Was that slow enough?” She asks teasingly.
“Yeah…” You breathe out, feeling an unknown emotion settle in your chest.
“That’s it for tonight, then.” The smirk doesn’t leave her face as she helps you up, “Let’s get you out of that. We’ll take the makeup off first.” You nod wordlessly, still in awe. The two of you head into the changing room where the shelves are filled with extra uniforms. There’s a basin of water there that’s used to remove the makeup, but you feel a little spontaneous.
“Let me remove the makeup for you.” You pull water from the basin and let it stick to your palms, “It’ll be faster this way.”
“Okay.” Suki smiles and sits down, patting the spot on the bench next to her. You get close to her, Suki’s hand on your thigh to steady herself as she lets you carefully run your hands over her face. Little by little, the makeup comes off to reveal her features and you’re taken by her beauty.
“You’re staring.” She whispers.
“Sorry.” You go to back away, but she grabs your wrist.
“I’m okay with staring… but I’d prefer to kiss you instead.” You make a noise in the back of your throat, surprised by her statement.
“If I read this whole evening wrong, you’re more than welcome to tell me no.” She continues, “But if I haven’t… I’d like to kiss you.”
“You haven’t.” You whisper, closing your eyes to remove the makeup from your face. Once you do, you send the water down the little drain next to the basin, “I’d like to kiss you, too.”
Suki didn’t waste a second. Her lips were on yours, soft and sweet from the berry juice in the lip paint. Your heartbeat picks up as she guides you onto her lap, and you rest your hands on her chest. She wasn’t your first kiss, but she’s the first kiss where it was good. Suki knew how to kiss and it showed. The way her tongue found its way into your mouth, not too much to send you running or she’d take a moment to suck on your bottom lip and make you impatient.
“Can I touch you?” Suki asks sweetly, “Have you been touched before?”
“Ah, no, I-I haven’t.” That question wasn’t one you were expecting at all. That made you a little nervous. You haven’t even touched yourself before. How would you know what to do or-
“Hey, don’t worry. We don’t have to do anything.” She brushes your hair behind your ear, “I was just asking.”
“I’d like to… I’ve just- I don’t-”
“You don’t need to do anything.” She giggles, “Let me do it for you.”
“Okay.” You agree.
“Let’s get you undressed then.” Suki waits for you to stand before instructing you to turn around. Piece by piece, she helped you out of the warrior’s uniform while leaving kisses on your neck. Your body felt warm, your heart was racing, and you were slowly getting excited for what was to come. When your robes were off, you helped Suki even though she didn’t need it. Taking your cues from her, you did the same thing and kissed her neck, giving in to the urge to leave little bites as well. You were doing something right by the way you’d hear soft gasps leave her lips. The moment the last piece of her robes were off, she backed you into the wall and hicked your leg up to her hip.
“Kiss me.” You demand, making her chuckle.
“Eager.” She grins before kissing you again. This time you were more intense with this kiss. You weren’t sure why but only that it felt right to be. You could feel her fingers playing at the edge of your underwear and it sends shivers up your spine. Her fingers move across and down, over your covered clit to press against that spot between your legs. You gasp against her lips, wrapping your arms around her to bring her closer to you. She rubs her fingers down there for a bit, continuing to kiss you as you struggle to hold in your moans. Your body is trembling at this point, eager for more stimulation from the gorgeous warrior pinning you to the wall.
“Do you still want me to put my fingers in?” Suki asks after backing from the kiss.
“Yes…” You breathe out. You hold each other’s gaze as you feel her move the cloth aside. Her eyes sparkle in the light, such a deep blue you could always get lost in them. You gasp as one of her fingers slips into you, whimpering as she touches you in a way no one has. It’s all you can focus on. The feel of her touching you so deeply in a place that sent your body tingling with pleasure.
“Suki.” You moan out her name, tilting your head back.
“You’re so beautiful, you know.” She kisses your exposed neck, “It’s a shame you’ve never felt pleasure like this before.”
“You’re the first.” You mutter, not able to speak any louder.
“I’m honored.” She hums, putting another finger in and stretching you out, “You have such a cute pussy. I’m enjoying letting you experience this.” You groan, the soft burning from the stretching not doing anything to distract you from the pleasure. Only a few hours ago, she had tied you up and now she was in an intimate position with you. Who would have thought leaving home would end up with you like this?
“Thank you…” You say breathily, “It feels nice. Really nice.”
“Don’t thank me yet, cutie.” Suki giggles, “I haven’t made you cum, yet.” You weren’t sure what she meant by that, but you couldn’t ask. She had moved her thumb to a bundle of nerves further up and you were too enthralled to talk. The trembling in your body only got worse, except now something was tightening in your abdomen. It kept getting tighter the more she touched you and you didn’t want to tell Suki to stop. You were more aware of her fingers than you were earlier and the pressure in your abdomen had reached its peak. A loud moan left your lips as you felt it snap, your fingers digging into her shoulders in the process.
“Spirits!” You hear Suki exclaim in surprise and then giggle as you feel a liquid run down your legs. She didn’t stop until you could feel your body relax, but your mind was definitely in a different state. You felt a little foggy.
“I didn’t think I’d make you cum that hard.” Suki chuckles, slowly sliding her fingers out, “Are you feeling okay?” She asks.
“Yeah.” You nod, trying to catch your breath, “I am. I just- I’m not quite sure what I’m feeling but it feels good.”
“Don’t worry, it’ll go away soon.” She kisses your cheek, “You did great, cutie.”
“Thank you.” You blush, thinking about kissing her again, “Can I…?”
“Can you kiss me again?” She smirks, making you giggle and nod your head.
“I don’t mind that.” Suki lifts your chin and kisses you.

Fighting
Word Count: 576 Prompt: Warrior or Worrier Ship: Wolflet (Wolf x Scarlet) A/N: Writer's block kicking my BUTT. HOWEVER. The idea for this one was too cute to pass up. Scarlet is always the fight-y-er one to me (yeah that's a word, uh...), even despite Wolf's background. I love the image of her with the shotgun, and that was the entire basis for this one. @tlc-ship-weeks
"Scarlet—"
"I'm going." The shotgun almost seemed to heat up the moment Scarlet touched it, or at least Wolf pretended that he could see this. He also pretended he could see flames popping up in wake of his wife's steps. Not that it was hard to pretend when every bit of her appeared to be on fire.
"Scarlet, please, let me shoo them away." Wolf followed after her, circumnavigating the furniture as carefully as he could. Ever since Cinder and Kai had visited to personally congratulate them, the paparazzi had been swarming the farm. It was unnecessary stress on Scarlet, and stress on Scarlet was worry for Wolf. Especially now.
"They're used to you. It'll be much more effective coming from me." She was a dragon as she stormed toward the front door, throwing it open to face the horde of strangers. Wolf grimaced as he watched her wave the shotgun, and while the chatter didn't stop, it did die down significantly. Okay, perhaps she had a point. If he'd had the ears of the animal he was nicknamed after, he would be pinning them back as she shouted, "GET OUT. I MEAN IT. YOU DON'T WANT ME TO SHOOT."
The paparazzi scattered like ants, and Wolf shot forward and took the gun out of Scarlet's hands. "Please don't shoot it. We don't know what will happen to—"
All of the energy seemed to deflate out of Scarlet the moment he intervened. Wolf immediately caught her in his arms, safely setting the gun down on the floor. He shut the door behind them, cradling her as gently as he could. "Are you alright?"
She huffed. "I keep forgetting my stamina isn't just mine anymore." The constellations of freckles on her face moved with her frown as she peered down at her pregnant belly. "I would think any kid of mine would be as angry as I am about something like this."
"When they're born, maybe. Not right now. Now can you please sit down and rest? Your blood pressure." Wolf ushered her into the living room to sit on the couch, which she did, albeit reluctantly.
"You know I don't like to be handled," she reminded him.
"I know. I also know that you don't know when to quit." Wolf brushed a few stray curls behind her ear and kissed her forehead. "And the last thing I need is Cinder getting mad that I let you scream yourself into the hospital."
She almost seemed like she wanted to argue, but Wolf knew she knew he was right. If there was anything either of them was good at, it was predicting the other's thoughts. Scarlet huffed again, angling so she was laying across two-thirds of the couch. Not enough room for him to sit by a longshot, but then he had taken to sitting on the floor beside her anyway.
"The chores are all done?"
"Of course."
"Deliveries done?"
"Yup."
"I'm micro-managing again."
"You are. But it's cute." Wolf cracked a grin at the pout that slipped across Scarlet's face at the compliment. "Get some rest. I'll make dinner this time."
"You're going to need my help with the can opener, huh?"
"Not this time. Promise. You've done enough fighting for the day."
"I love you," was her only response. And even though he didn't automatically say it back, they both knew that he did. No matter how much she terrified him wielding a shotgun while pregnant.

baby's first christmas | little!austin x cg!reader
summary: you decide to make you and austin's first christmas together a little more special.
requested: sorta!
warnings: agere, little space
wc: 806
a/n: this has been in my drafts since february. FEBRUARY. this was requested by an anon ages ago and im sooo sorry for just now posting it. like this was right when i started writing little!austin.....anyway. posting this because i havent posted in three days and i feel BAD !! writers block is kicking my butt. enjoy.
masterlist
not only was christmas your favorite holiday, but it was austin's too. what made it more special was that this christmas would be your first together. having moved in with austin several months ago, that meant you got to help decorate for christmas which was truly one of your favorite parts of the holiday. of course, there were some arguments here and there. one about wanting an inflatable snowman out in the front yard but austin wanting santa claus. you wanted white lights and austin wanted multicolored lights. at least you both decorated the tree with no arguments.
to top everything off, you learned about a new side of austin a few weeks before christmas after catching austin baby talking to a stuffie he had tucked away in his closet. he didn't know that you knew about that side of him. however, you wanted him to know that it was okay to open up to you about it whenever he was ready and by doing that, you decided you were going to spoil him for your first christmas together.
you could tell austin was really trying to hold it in on christmas morning. he was visibly excited, bouncing his leg up and down during breakfast and tapping his fingers on the table to fight off that feeling in his head. you just hoped austin didn't get upset at your choice in gifts today.
"i don't think i've ever seen you so excited." you chuckled, sipping from your christmas mug.
austin laughed awkwardly, "i just really like christmas, i guess." he toyed with his own mug, running his hands around it, feeling the smooth, warm texture of the glass. "it's our first christmas together, y'know?"
"mhm," you nodded. "first of many, hopefully." you joked, cringing slightly at your poor joke.
he looked at you with a straight face, squinting his eyes. "what's that supposed to mean?"
"bad joke. let's go open presents." you quickly said, leaving the kitchen.
austin shook his head and followed you, eyes widening at the amount of gifts under the tree. he'd gotten you a few things, but when he checked the tree last night, there definitely wasn't that many gifts there last night.
you sat down in front of the tree, grinning. "looks like santa stopped by."
austin looked at you confused, sitting down in a criss-crossed position. seeing the gifts, the idea of santa actually coming and bringing him gifts all mixed with the excitement of christmas was almost overwhelming for him. but he needed to hold it together, hoping he could find time to slip by himself later today. his thoughts were interrupted once you placed a small gift in his lap, smiling wide.
you noticed how off he was and decided to rip it off like a bandaid, having the first gift he opens be one for his little self.
he unwrapped the tiny box, careful of not ripping up the bow and setting the tinsel aside. panic arose once he opened it, revealing a small, glow in the dark paci with little stars on it. "i-what-" he stuttered, looking at you with concerned eyes.
"you don't have to tell me now. you can explain things to me when you're more comfortable, but i just-i don't know. gotta be better than just using your thumb, 's got germs and everything."
austin just wanted to cry. not sad tears, but happy tears. he just stared at the paci in awe, the feelings in his head finally coming together, as if it a switch were flicked on in his brain. his glassy eyes met yours, unsure of what to say. "'s not weird?" he finally asked, still in denial of how accepting you were of him.
letting out a gasp, "weird? of course not! i love my little baby boy, i would never think he's weird."
his lips perked up at you saying the words, pointing at himself.
"yes that's right! you're my baby boy and i love you so so much." you smiled. "in fact, how about another gift? hm?" you dug through the gifts and handed him another one, a slightly bigger box wrapped in santa themed paper. he opened it excitedly, gasping and pulling out his new plushed friend, a puppy with brown flappy ears. "did santa bring you a new friend?"
too far gone in his headspace to reply, he hugged the stuffed, plush puppy close to his chest as bounced happily, babbling tiny little 'thank you's. you'd never seen austin so happy and so comfortable around you. although you had gifts for big austin as well, seeing little austin enjoy every single plushie, toy, and sippy cups that you had gifted him as a way to show you cared was all you needed to make this christmas the best one you've ever had.

Hi hello writer's block is kicking my butt so I'm turning to polls in hopes that it'll help.
So, I have about 6 requests in the WIP stage, some more finished than others. I want to finish at least one so I'll have three fics to post soon, but it's been a struggle ^_^'
And so:
More details on each WIP below the cut!
Option one: Requested by @/myreygn: Mattsun has wild taste in movies that usually leave the watcher in a state of Mindf*ckery. Kuroo doesn't get it and keeps asking questions, distracting him. Tickly shenanigens ensue.
Option Two: Requested by Anon: Kiawe accidentally spills strange incense on himself upon returning to his mountain spot. His Pokemon get a nice strong wiff of it and close in to investigate further, leading to the fire gym leader victim to some unexpected tickles!
Option Three: Requested by Anon: Baji is in a sudden ler mood and decides to take it out on Chifuyu; leading to what will forever be known as: "The Wreckening".
Option Four: Requested by Anon: Douma's bored without any immediate things to do and decides to play with Rui. A game of Hide and Seek is declared with a giggly twist!
Option Five: Requested by Anon: Asta decides to tickle Leopold, leaving our fire mage a giggly mess of laughter and Yuno left with the oddest feelings of jealousy.
Option Six: Requested by @/yae-mikko: Sae is a man who's good at remaining neutral. That is until Shidou enters the picture. Shenanigans ensue when the duel haired man wants to make his usually stoic boyfriend smile.
#squiggily rambles#polls with squiggily#WIP list#this of course isn't everything#but these are the one's in the immediate request list#At least- in terms of being halfway to a quarter way done#or having a strong idea around them#this should make me fully commit now and hopefully beat out this writer's block#sometimes I overwhelm myself and need structure to bring it all back akljrjejrakjer

hiii, how are you doing? 💌💛🔮🚦❤️🎨
Fatigue has been truly kicking my butt this week (covid long hauler 💔), but I’m trying to hang in there!! Thanks for asking! 💜
💌 Is there a favorite trope you like to write?
I’m a sucker for friends to lovers. And I don’t know why but I like miscommunication… I don’t like things to be easy lol …And slow burn romance, but I think everyone has a different opinion on what constitutes as slow. But as long as it isn’t love at first sight! I feel like most of the fun is writing the build-up.
💛 What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned about writing?
Just have fun. And that life is too short to think you shouldn’t try.
🔮 Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?
Ha. Me and writers block are very familiar with each other. I once was so burnt out and put off of writing that it took me 10 whole years to write something again— well at least everything I wrote between that time was strictly business/not for fun so I hated it. It was all entirely for school and boy did that not help at all cause everything needed a citation in APA format. So yeah, it took 10 years for me to write something again that I wanted to write.
Sometimes you end up taking a step away from writing and it can last a lot longer than you think. Knowing I could end up in a block for years is kinda why I got so paranoid last month when I fell into a block again because I worried I wouldn’t get over it for a while, but it passed! I think it helps being in a better mental space when you want to create… and also looking to others for inspiration can also help!
🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?
Happy! Or at least on a lighter note. I just can’t leave my characters worse off, especially if it’s angsty. I’m just not a fan of bad endings. Maybe that’s boring of me, but I’ve always enjoyed stories more if there was hope at the end of it. And where the characters would have learned from their experiences and be in a better place than where they started. I think that’s why I gravitate towards that.
❤️ What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?
Of course I’ll answer this again because how the heck can you choose only one favorite line? lol
I really liked writing this one:
“Preposterous!” Dustin shouts, “You could murder someone in cold blood— you could murder me in cold blood and I’d still be your friend!”
🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?
That’s such a dream. Honestly if anyone ever made fan art of any of my stories I could die happy.
If it’s a scene from my current multi-chapter work then probably Will reaching for Mike’s hand at the viewing to comfort him OR their silly banter in the morning in the kitchen before Mike ran off lol.
thanks! 💛
