(Not gonna lie. When making larger concept/business /partnership maneuvers and just generally going out on all these passionate limbs to try and do my part in providing quality help.. healing.. and entertainment for self, you, and our new #worldof2020. I get hit hard at times with massive down moments. Each time I receive one of these, my heart aches a little; our books truly are like our babies, created within us, nourished lovingly for months, sometimes years, with all our being. Fellow writer, lend me your ears: rejection letters don’t mean we’re bad writers, that we should retire our laptops and notebooks and find another artistic outlet. No. 🙅‍♀️They’re proof that we’re doing what so many people are too afraid to do: putting ourselves and our “babies” out there, letting strangers read and critique and often refuse them for reasons we’ll never know or understand. Rejection letters prove that we’re trying. (I feel so much growth happening all around us. Everywhere I go there are signs and souls reaching out. It’s almost too much at times, but when feeling at a low spot it seems to be taxing and oddly the single most refueling aspect of life simultaneous and on loop. A juxtaposition cross road of life later comprehension and ascension. “Being” turned on its head for a greater grand visionscape. Growth in the ways of need.
