I didn't expect that there were people who say that the problems that happened in the show were bc of Vi. But It's good there are people defending her. Are they crazy leave my girl alone!

I mean it's very clear who caused the problem. Jayce bc he made the hextech stones. And Silco later on, but he seems to have become a good person in another universe.

And like the same thing said by a person named Ellie: "Vi's death or rather the child's death stopped Hextech getting green lit"

Bc they saw that this is something that causes people to die, so the council will not approve its manufacture, and Jayce after seeing a dead child will certainly not work on hextech or anything related to magic anymore.

Btw I want to make a post later and talk about my opinion of the show and how this season was not as good as season 1, there are a lot of disappointing and unsatisfying things about it and the writers did not succeed in telling the story well. Especially act 3 was very rushed. Anyway I will not talk more now I will talk about that in the next post

It's almost hilarious how even when Viktor is trying to get rid of his humanity it just highlights how partial he's to Jayce. His villain speech isn't even threatening, he searches for Jayce to talk especifically, he is still trying to convince Jayce to join him or to see the benefits of glorious evolution, I would say even trying to impress him. He touches Jayce's forehead even when it's not necessary to know his mind, he keeps the blanket even when he does not feel cold or warm long ago. He could have easily kill him but instead he decides to talk more with him about glorious evolution hoping he to accept him without realizing that Jayce is what makes him look the most human, the most desperate for company and understanding

Well aside from the heart-wrenching, psyche-destroying conclusion of episode 6, I must say that when Jayce said, "I thought you were done with hextech. And me." after emerging from the wild rune, I was shocked they went there. That was the most romantic exes vibes I've ever received from that man, and the way it was delivered was so perfectly hurt and betrayed?? I'm eating well and it's destroying my soul

No, Jayce...What the fuck...He was dying of terminal illnes at like 30... Terminal illness caused by all the pollution in Zaun (Piltover mining operations, The Grey, the sewer system) .. What he really wanted was at least little bit more time to figure out and prevent the cause... To help the people of Zaun that work n live in the fissures...

But that part of Viktors character was lost at this point so whatever

The thing I never got about the fan reaction to Mel and Jayce's relationship (in general) is that people were incensed on Jayce's behalf that Mel used him for political gain, but like... that's what happens when the government sponsors your research. Obviously the funding mechanisms aren't the same because Piltover is an oligarchy where civic functions such as the Enforcers and even Zaun's ventilation system are privately funded instead of through a common pool of taxpayer money, but the purpose is the same, which is to benefit from the conclusions drawn from the results of the research.

I don't understand how anyone in the audience could be shocked or angry that when Mel, a high ranking representative of Piltover’s government, chose to invest in hextech it wasn't clear that she and Piltover would benefit. And it's not like this foreign concept to Jayce, he was originally being SPONSORED by the Kirammans', which is almost the same relationship except it's more explicitly private to the Kirammans' benefit, but I didn't see any pitchforks out for Tobias and Cassandra.

It's just such a double whammy headache to end up reading posts where Mel is hypervillainized while Jayce is practically infantilized because as an adult man in his 30s he simply can't understand complex relationships or make his own decisions. The way some fans have been offended on Jayce's behalf straight up erases any agency or even intelligence he has.

I'm having major jayvik brainrot. and the council scene is driving me insane

tw: yandere!viktor, dead dove, dubcon, noncon, overstimulation, choking

yandere!viktor turning everyone into his followers but unable to bring himself to do it to jayce he's so far removed from his humanity, but all he knows is that he needs jayce by his side—not as a mindless pawn, but as jayce, with all his beautiful anger and hatred and regret.

he may be the machine herald now but he's still a scientist at heart so he tests his hypothesis that jayce would come around if he reminded him why they were partners in the first place.

imagine him recreating that scene in the council's chamber but this time after he chokes jayce he takes him right then and there over the table until jayce is too spent. using his fingers, mouth, tounge to bring jayce over the edge again and again and again, until he's gasping on tears of overstimulation and a whimpering mess, unable to do more then drool and twitch in the aftershocks.

the gentleness in the way viktor wipes the tears from his eyes makes something twist painfully in jayce's heart. that his partner would become this.

viktor's cool voice rings out and jayce hates how despite everything, he relaxes at the sound. "have you changed your mind, jayce?"

all jayce wants is his partner back, but as he looked into the mask that was one viktor's face, he realises that this is still the same man, just everything and nothing like how he remembered, and no matter how he tried, he couldn't bring himself to hate him.

"it's okay," viktor's hand is cold against jayce's face, and it takes everything in him not to shatter when he speaks again, "we'll try again tomorrow."

I'm half convinced that if Vi and Cait hadn't actually kissed and slept together, there would be some people showing up out of nowhere to say that their relationship is supposed to be platonic and seeing it as romantic is harmful to the concept of simple friendship and that two people can be close without it being romantic etc etc (which they are saying about jayvik and silco/vander)

Now since explaining a thousand times that people can have different opinions and they should learn to respect them instead of correcting them as if there is only one true answer does not seem to work, here's an idea: just block those ship tags and let us all have peace in this fandom.
