boothill thinks it’s fun to play around with his synesthesia beacon. turn it to a million different pitches or inflects just to see what irritates you most. sometimes, he’ll even do his best to recreate the voices of your boss and coworkers to watch you jolt out of your skin. to him, it’s hilarious and a worthwhile endeavour.

but your favourite is when he keeps it closest to his voice. when he tunes it just right to sound like himself after he’s done messing around. you like it when he’s himself as he hums and sings along to different songs, his favourites to sing being ‘Tiffany Blews’ mindlessly, ‘Before He Cheats’ when he feels like being annoying, and ‘Something About You’ while he’s playing with your hair (you introduced him to bedroom pop one night to break his whole only country and rock mindset and it surprisingly grew on him).

he’ll wrap his arms around your waist and perch his head on your shoulder as he twirls a couple strands, “she looks just like a dream, the prettiest girl i’ve ever seen,” with his sweet southern accent and smile. it’s almost enough for you to forget that he’s a wanted man and stole the last piece of bread that morning… maybe next time, boothill.

Crochet time! A little while ago I received my Oracle of Play deck from @publishinggoblin and fell in love with it immediately. I used it to do a reading for a dear friend the day after it arrived, and among other things it's led to us talking more than we have in many years. Given that, and given that its proper box is beautiful but a bit unwieldly for carrying around, I decided to improvise a clutch for it with enough wrap to become a three-card spread cloth.

I used the remains of a ball of Loops & Threads Soft Classic, partially because it's a lovely shade of purple but mostly because the majority of that ball went to making myself an absolutely fabulous pointy witch hat so this seemed like an appropriate use for the rest. The stitch pattern is a moss stitch using half-double crochet instead of single, which resulted in a satisfyingly chunky mesh look, and I found a really cute button at the craft store to use for a closure. Eventually I may even sew on an additional interior pocket on the clutch portion to hold some of the cool coins I got with the deck! I'm also considering making a matching pouch for my Oracle Dice, and maybe even a sleeve to hold the accompanying books for the dice and deck, since I still have a decent amount of this purple yarn left.

IM SOOOOO EMO ABT HOW MUCH EXCITEMENT THAT DRAWING HAS BROUGHT… i drew those first concept sketches like a year and a half ago and i waited so long before i posted them bc i didn’t want people to be weird about it, but then i got that butch buddie prompt for the gotcha and yall were JUST AS JAZZED AS ME… im fr so delighted jfhddhf

all that to say I’D LOVE TO!! i’ve Been rotating them in my mind and with a couple friends for a WHILE so :3 it’s definitely in the cards! it might not be for a while (unless i get super compelled) just while im working my way through more gotcha prompts, im working on three rn ghfhdhd but trust that they are on my mind often and fondly lol
