did you see tae saying he recorded a song(songs?) at jk's house? wow, didn't know jk had a recording studio at his house, he doesn't even have proper pillows for his bed.
and before yall say i'm calling tae a liar, i'm not. he's just notorious for leaving details out of things when it comes to taekook adventures 💀 he probably recorded a demo on his phone at jk's house. or jk probably even did backup vocals for one of taehyung's tracks. that would be interesting to watch unfold though, cause tkkrs clowned jkkrs for saying Letter was intended for jungkook, watch how they'll say the same if JK did record background vocals for one of taehyung's songs. no more "well, he's the main vocalist, duh!" i guess lol
The amount. Of asks. I have go10. About this. Are krazy.
Would y'all care if RM had said this? Or Suga? No? Then there lies your issue innit?
No, V isn't lying. If he said he recorded at JK's that's exactly what happened. But I agree with anon; JK doesn't have a studio @ his. So if that happened maybe V got a song idea and recorded it on his phone or some shit. Who knows?
Bottom line is, this has been a good year for Taekook and that's a good thing! Especially in light of this new in4 about V and his estranged siblings. Let him have a little brother in JK, damn!
Jikookers. Listen to me 👂🏽: IT DOESN'T MATTER. IT👏🏾DOESN'T👏🏾FUCKING👏🏾MATTER👏🏾 Let tkk have moments without y'all losing your freaking minds. If u reacted to this negatively you need to think about how strong your belief in Jikook is, for u to be threatened by nothing.
How come I haven't go10 any asks about this
In my opinion, Minimoni out on a museum date is stronger than V recording a song at JK's. I'm I the only one who sees it this way? These are photos of Minimoni out and about, looking good, admiring art Vs one half of Taekook saying he was over at JK's and he did a song. He doesn't even say if JK was involved. JK hasn't even concured this yet. We have no photos of it.... not to mention he also says he showed the songs to Jhope. So is Vhope real????
Hope y'all see the issue here. Stop letting Taekookers get to you, please.

LGBTQ activists spam state agency over driver’s license policy affecting transgender Texans
“According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly.”
youtube
If you were on Tumblr in 2015, you probably know this is the first line of Bee Movie.
youtube
Years after its release, the animated film starring Jerry Seinfeld entered internet memedom when pranksters started posting the entirety of its script online.
At the time, New York Magazine called it “the best prank on Facebook right now."
Now the joke is back in an unexpected place — as part of a spamming effort targeting the state’s driver’s license office.
Last month, the Texas Department of Public Safety changed its policy regarding the sex listed on driver’s licenses.
Texans had previously been able to change the listed sex by presenting the agency with an order from a judge.
Now, drivers will not be able to change the sex on their licenses unless it is to fix a clerical error.
Part of the policy change involved the agency setting up an internal email address.
Employees were instructed to email this address any time an individual uses a court order to request to update the sex listed on their driver’s license.
The email should include the requestor’s name and ID number and the subject line “Sex Change Court Order,” agency instructions said.
The policy change was a major blow for transgender Texans who want their identification documents to match their gender identity.
They expressed concern over the new email address as well, and accused the state of attempting to track transgender people.
An agency spokesperson said the policy change was made after the Office of the Attorney General raised questions about the legality of these court orders, but has not answered questions about privacy concerns.
In an attempt to learn more about how and why the change was made, The Texas Newsroom requested all the messages sent to the new internal email.
In response, the agency released more than 700 pages of emails.
It appears just one of the emails was an internal communication noting an employee had received a request to change the sex listed on a driver’s license.
The rest, more than 80 messages, were from people critical of the policy change, including hundreds of pages of what look like spam.
Johnathan Gooch, a spokesperson for the LGBTQ rights group Equality Texas, said members of the queer community online came up with the idea of spamming the agency after The Texas Newsroom broke the story about the policy change on August 21.
While the email address itself was not published, and it was clearly meant for internal use only, screenshots of an agency message that included the address were shared online.
“The Texas LGBTQIA+ community was scared and angry. Spamming the [Department of Public Safety] email seems like a natural extension of the frustration that the whole community is experiencing,” Gooch said.
He added Equality Texas was not behind the effort, and said it did not appear that any other single group spearheaded it.
It’s unclear whether the amount of spam the agency received affected its ability to track the new policy change.
The records show that in the days following the policy change, the Department of Public Safety was signed up for PETA’s newsletter and emails from the Krazy Coupon Lady.
The address received emails from QueerMeNow, a gay pornography blog, and Lovehoney, a British company that sells adult toys and lingerie.
Someone requested a quote to ship a 2024 Bentley Eight from Columbus, Ohio, to Huntsville, Alabama, from a logistics company.
According to the company’s CEO, the requestor provided a number with a Florida area code and a familiar name: Greg Abbott.
A half dozen emails were just copies of the Bee Movie script.
One email read: “oh no someone is spamming your gestapo list wow.”
There were those folks who wanted to lodge their complaints about the policy change more directly, the records show.
In emails, they described the new policy as “evil” and “weird.”
They called the agency employee on the receiving end of their emails a “good little Nazi” and “a disgrace in the eyes of God.”
Several sent the same message, reading, “You are an abomination. An utter and complete disappointment and failure.”
Another was filled with racist slurs.
The Department of Public Safety redacted the senders’ email addresses.
“The ‘small government state’ when they compile a secret list of trans people,” one person wrote.
Another pleaded, “stop destroying our lives please.”
A third person, who wrote they do not in Texas, said, “That's some fascist nonsense if i've ever seen it.”
One email had the subject line, “All Cowboys Are Gay.”
The body read, “what I said.”
The Texas secretary of state’s office and Attorney General Ken Paxton have asked federal authorities for help determining whether people who are not U.S. citizens or have not documented their proof of citizenship are registered to vote in Texas. Secretary of State Jane Nelson sent a letter to the director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services saying Texas is entitled to receive the information.

^Krazie, accurately summing up my feelings about this episode less than halfway through.
Wow. That was... a rollercoaster.
I feel like I should specify that I don’t feel like the A plot was badly written or anything-- you’re always gonna simplify and speed stuff up for a cartoon plot like this, that’s understandable, and I quite liked the way that Luz used her light spell to help them escape, as well as the concept of the pen-axe. It’s just that the oversimplification of the publishing industry plus the portrayal of a bumbling fool like King effortlessly succeeding at the thing I’ve been working my ass off at for years combined to punch all my rage buttons and made it hard to watch.
That B plot, though! That should have been its own damn episode! Every time we see Lilith I’m all the more fascinated by her, and the dynamic between the sisters is so wonderful to watch. As much as they’re working at cross purposes, as much as Lilith has her own ulterior motives for seeking Eda out, they still have affection for each other, and they slip into working together so easily it probably surprises even them. Every moment they were both on screen was a gift, and that last conversation between them was so lovely, not only in the concept/writing but in the animation and the VAs deliveries. There’s so much going on between them. I think that might be why, before I had seen any of the show and didn’t know they were sisters, I assumed they were the Fandom Ship-- because their relationship, though familial not romantic, is one of the greatest draws of this great show.
Plus, we’ve opened up some more avenues for future plot-- Eda’s curse really is quickening, we’ve mentioned the Emperor as a person in a way that makes me suspect he’ll actually show his face at some point, and Lily’s concern for her sister is only growing-- which could lead her to have mercy, or to really not.
I’m glad I don’t rank episodes, because this one is way off opposite ends of the scale. Wow.

Christmas in London - Chapter Three AU!Tom Hiddleston Fan Fiction by Captain-Krazy Fluff 2649 Words ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N: There is no smut in this story. Summary: Tom and Jess are friends and Tom takes her to London for Christmas so she doesn’t spend it alone in her apartment, like she usually does. However, the more time they spend together they both realize they may actually have feelings for each other after all. But will either of them say anything to the other, or act on their feelings? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One Two ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next day everyone woke up early, had a nice breakfast, and then started getting ready to spend the day at the Christmas festival. Once they were there almost everyone wanted to go in different directions so they decided to split up, but everyone agreed to meet up at 6:30pm in front of the Christmas tree to watch the nightly light show at 7pm.
‘So, what would you like to do first?’ Tom asked as they walked along through the crowd
‘I don’t know. What do you like to do here?’ Jess replied
‘Um…. Well, we could get some cocoa, or some cider, and maybe some roasted chestnuts?’
‘I've never had chestnuts before’
‘Well then, let’s fix that shall we’
Tom led Jess to a booth and bought them a bag of piping hot chestnuts to share and then got them each an apple cider. Once they found a place to sit Tom opened the bag and Jess smiled as she watched the steam come wafting out of the bag. Tom reached in and grabbed a couple of nuts, handing one to Jess
‘Do I just eat it like this?’ she asked
‘No, you have to peel off the shell first, it’s softened from the roasting, and then you eat the meat inside’ Tom explained as he peeled the shell off his and popped it into his mouth
Jess peeled hers and then gave it a sniff before popping it into her mouth. Tom watched her face as she chewed, unable to really determine what she was thinking about them
‘Well?’
‘They’re…. good. They're a little salty, and a little sweet’ she replied ‘They kind of taste a little like a sweet potato’
Tom smiled and reached into the bag, pulling out a few more and holding his hand out to her, Jess took a couple and smiled as she began to peel another. The two friends sat and ate their chestnuts and sipped on their cider. After they finished they walked around the festival, taking in the sights and buying some things, Tom picked up a set of cookie cutters and piping tips for his mom and Jess bought a box of homemade Christmas decorations at home next year. There was a snow globe that she fell in love with but in the end decided against it, citing that it cost too much. As the day went on and they continued walking around the festival they came across an ice skating rink and stopped to watch people glide around the ice.
‘Would you like to go skating?’ Tom asked her
‘I don’t know how to ice skate’
‘Really?’
‘Really. I can't even roller skate, I just fall down’ Jess replied
‘Never had candy canes in your cocoa, never tried chestnuts, never skated. This is just turning into a trip of firsts for you isn't it?’
Jess let out a soft laugh and nodded, ‘Yeah, I guess it is’
‘Come on, I'll show you’
‘No way! You know how klutzy I am, the last thing I need is a weapon’
‘A weapon? What are you talking about?’
‘The ice skate. The shoe with the extremely sharp blade on it. I will fall, probably on you, and with my luck I'll end up slitting your throat’
Tom laughed and shook his head, before grabbing her arm and taking her to get skates. He put their shoes and the stuff they had purchased into a locker and made his way back over to where Jess was seated
‘Ready?’ Tom asked as he held his hand out to her
‘I think I’m just gonna wait here. I've mastered sitting on this bench and it would be a shame to break my streak now’ she replied as she patted then bench she was sitting on
‘Eheheh…. Come on, let’s skate’
Jess let out a sigh and looked up at Tom, damn you and that trusting smile, she thought as she slipped her hand into his. He helped her to her feet and they slowly made their way toward the ice, Jess wobbling as they went. Tom stepped onto the ice first as Jess held onto the wall, he showed her some basic moves and then skated back to her, holding out his hands again. Jess took them and reluctantly stepped onto the ice, her feet almost sliding out from under her. Tom led her around the rink, slowly and staying close to the wall, as she figured out how to move. When he finally let her go he stood beside her so he could try to catcher her if she stated to fall.
‘You're doing great’ Tom said as they slowly skated along
‘Yeah? I just have to not think about falling on my ass!’ Jess replied with a soft laugh
A few moments later a couple kids raced by and one of them bumped into Tom, which made him lose his balance and bump into Jess, causing her feel to fly forward and her to fall back onto the ice, her head hitting pretty hard. Tom landed beside her and he crawled over to check on her,
‘Are you alright?’ he asked, she had sat up and leaned against the rink wall, her hand instinctively going to the sore spot on the back of her head
‘Ow. What happened?’
‘Someone ran into me and I ran into you. I’m sorry’ he replied as he took her hat off her head and looked at it ‘You're not bleeding, but you're going to have a nasty bump there’
‘Oh my god! I am so sorry!!!’ a woman’s voice said, coming from behind where Jess was seated on the ice ‘I told my nephews not to chase each other. Boys, tell them you're sorry!’
‘We’re sorry’ they said simultaneously as they stood on the ice beside Tom and Jess
‘Are you okay, miss?’ she asked
‘Yeah, I’m fine, just a lump on the head’ Jess replied. Tom stood and helped her to her feet and she gripped the wall tightly as they slowly made their way toward the opening
‘Tom? Is that you?’ she asked
Tom looked over at the woman and instantly recognized her
‘Mia. Wow…. How are you? How long has it been?’
‘Um…. about 10 years I think. I'm good, how are you?’ she asked ‘Well, aside from being knocked to the ice just now’
‘I'm good. Oh, Mia, this is Jess. Jess this is Mia, she’s an old friend of mine’
‘Nice to meet you, Jess. Sorry it isn't under better circumstances’
‘Nice to meet you too, and it’s alright, kids like to not listen’
Tom left Jess and Mia for a few minutes while he went to get their shoes and other belongings out of the locker they were stored in, he also got Jess an ice pack for her head from a rink attendant. When he came back he gave her the pace and helped her take off her skates. Once she had her shoes back on she asked if there was a restroom nearby and Mia pointed her in direction of the pavilion on the other side of the rink, she offered to go with her, but Jess politely declined and Mia stayed with Tom as he put his shoes back on and turned their skates back in.
‘I'm really sorry my nephews knocked you and your girlfriend down’ Mia said
‘It’s alright it happens’ Tom replied as tied his shoes and then looked around ‘Um…. where are they?’
‘Oh, they're on their way home, my sister and brother-in-law were not happy with them for that’
Tom and Mia stood and started walking toward the pavilion to look for Jess.
‘So, your nephews, are they Lilli’s or Viv’s?’ he asked as they walked
‘One of each. Brian is Viv’s, and Conner is Lilli’s’
‘Do you have any kids?’ Tom asked
‘No. You?’
‘No, not yet’ Tom replied ‘Someday, I hope’
When they got to the pavilion they stood near the ladies room and waited for Jess to come out
‘So…. Are you and your girlfriend planning on having any?’ Mia asked
‘My girlfr…. Oh, no, no. Jess isn't my girlfriend’ Tom replied ‘She’s just a friend’
‘Oh, I just thought…. The way you acted when she fell I just…. assumed you two were dating’
‘No, I just felt bad about her falling, she’s never skated before’
A few moments later Jess came out of the ladies room and joined them. She was still holding the ice pack to the back of her head, but said she felt fine. Tom then received a text from his Dad asking where they were and Tom looked at the time, it was after 6:30 and they were late for meeting up with Tom's family. Luckily they were only a few minutes away from where they needed to be and quickly walked over, inviting Mia to join them. She accepted and they were soon where they needed to be and waiting for the show to start.
Jess stood on one side of Tom as all the lights around them started to dim before completely going out, a few moments after the square was dark music started softly playing through the speakers around them. After a slow build the lights flashed back on and played in time with the music, Jess smiled as she looked around and tried to see everything. Tom pointed so something that was going on behind her and she turned quickly to see. Losing her footing and falling against Tom. His arms instantly wrapped around her tightly to keep her from falling to the ground,
‘Are you okay?’ he asked
‘Yeah, I'm fine’ she replied, feeling a slight pain in her ankle as she took a step back
Tom smiled at her and pointed again to what he wanted her to see. When the show was over Tom and the rest of the family walked ahead as Jess hung back a little, her ankle hurting a bit as she walked
‘Are you okay?’ Mia asked as she slowed and walked with her
‘Oh, yeah. I’m fine’ Jess replied ‘I think I just might have twisted my ankle a little’
‘I'm so sorry my nephews knocked you down’
‘It’s not your fault, or even your nephews’ fault. I never should have been on the ice, I’m way too klutzy for stuff like that’ she replied ‘and the ankle is actually from the light show, I turned to fast to look at something Tom was pointing to and tripped over my own feet’
‘Oh, no!’
‘Like I said, I'm a klutz!’ Jess said with a laugh as they continued on toward the parking lot
‘So, how long have you and Tom known each other?’ Mia asked
‘A few years’ Jess replied
‘How did you two meet?’
‘Um…. I was coming out of a coffee shop just down the street from where I worked and I had drinks for me and a coworker, and he was about to go in, I turned and ran right into him, spilling them both of them on him. So I had him come with me to the store and gave him a clean shirt to change into’ Jess answered
‘That’s some way to meet’ Mia replied with a laugh
‘Yeah, I’m just glad they were iced drinks or he could have been really hurt’
‘Oh, yeah, that would have sucked!’
‘Well, he ended up forgetting his shirt in the shops bathroom, so I took it home and washed it, and took it back to work with me the next day so if he was at the coffee shop when I went in I could give it back to him. But he ended up coming into the shop to see if he had left it. He tried to give me some money for the cost of washing it, but I wouldn’t take it, so he insisted on at least buying me a cup of coffee, which I really felt bad for accepting since it was my fault his shirt needed to be wash anyway’
‘Yeah, that sounds like Tom’ Mia said with a chuckle
‘How about you? How did you meet?’
‘Oh, we all grew up together. I've known Tom and his family practically my whole life’ Mia replied
‘That’s really nice’ Jess said with a smile
‘Yeah. It’s really great to see him again. I forgot how much I missed him. All of them’
When they got back to the cars Tom's dad offered Mia a ride home but she declined, saying her own car was parked nearby, Tom walked her to it while everyone piled everything they bought and themselves into the cars. Jess slid into the back seat of Tom's parent’s car with them while everyone else got into the minivan Roger had rented, their parents telling them to go ahead and head home. While they were waiting jess leaned her head against the window, closing her eyes and enjoying the warmth of the cars heater starting to melt away the coldness running through her from being outside all day.
‘It was lovely to see Mia again’ William said to Susan as they waited
‘Yes, it was’ Susan replied
‘Why did they break up? I always thought that would have gotten married’
‘I'm not sure dear’
Jess wasn’t sure why, but hearing that Tom and Mia used to date and that his father thought they were going to get married made her a little sad. Tom was her friend and he deserved to be happy, so why should the thought of him being in a relationship make her feel that way? A few minutes later Tom opened the car door and slid into the backseat next to Jess.
‘Did Mia get on her way alright?’ Tom's Mom asked
‘Yeah, and I told her to let me know when she arrived back home’
‘Oh, that’s good dear’
‘Jess?’ Tom whispered a few moments later, but she didn’t reply.
She wasn’t sure why but she decided to pretended to be asleep, and stayed that way for the ride back to the house. Just as they pulled into the driveway Tom's phone pinged, he let his Mom know that Mia had made it home alright. Once the car was pulled into the garage Tom reached over and gently tapped Jess on the arm to ‘wake’ her
‘Jess… Jess, we’re home’ he said softly as his parents got of the car
‘Hmmm…. Oh…. Sorry about falling asleep’ she said as she undid her seatbelt and opened the door
‘It’s alright, it’s been a long day. How’s your head feeling?’
‘Sore, but okay’ she replied as she rubbed the large bump on her head
As they walked up the stairs to their rooms Tom let Jess know that Mia had invited the two of them out for lunch the following day. When they got to their rooms Tom gave Jess a hug before she went into her room
‘Hey…. Are you okay?’ Tom asked as she closed the door ‘You seem…. Sad’
‘Yeah. I'm fine. I’m just really tired, and cold, it’s been a long day’
‘You sure that’s all?’
‘Yeah, I’m sure’ she said with a smile ‘I'll be fine once I get some sleep’
‘Okay, sleep well’
‘You too. Good night’
Jess closed her door and let out a sigh as she walked over to the dresser to get her pajamas. As she pulled them out she saw her towel sitting on the chair and for a moment she considered taking a nice hot shower to warm her up and wash the day away, but she decided to wait until morning since she was too tired and could barely keep her eyes open. She put on her pj’s, and a pair of thick socks on her frozen toes, and crawled into bed. Within minutes she was fast asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N: I've never had Roasted Chestnuts so I googled them and the description of tasting similar to sweet potatoes came up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next….
DWTS season 24 Week 4: Most Memorable Year
Interesting opening montage with the chest like a kind of time capsule. Also, a lot of baby photos - either the celebs when they were kids or celebs with their kids.
I felt lik,e because of the nature of tonight the judges were scared to give criticism. More so this season.
Normani and Val - Rumba Normani’s year is when she got into the group Fifth Harmony. They didn’t elaborate much on how the group was formed, maybe to avoid addressing that one member left this year. I thought this dance was not bad. He arms were a bit stiff and could be more fluid esp with the port de bras (idk what they are called in ballroom terms but basically when you draw an arc with your arms in front or over you head). Didn’t see a lot of hip action, but she didn’t do that many moves that called for it. Her feet might have popped off the floor during the spin. Why is the short girl in 5H crying? It wasn’t a sob story MMY performance. Anyway I think she danced to a 5H song but I’m not sure because I don’t listen to their group. 8-7-8-9 T32
Nick and Peta - Rumba of course Nick’s year is the year he “found love” on the Bachelor and of course his dance is a rumba. I figured Shape of You would be used on the season sooner or later but this was such a waste of the song! I always imagine some hot latin number to it. Nick’s walks were decent and I saw him trying to make his hips move. They move better on one side. And to quote Bruno, he “definitely connected” - to his Bachelor fiancee Vanessa. CAI says he will let Nick off for lifting Vanessa at the end because IT’S LOVE or whatever. This had more content than Normani. 8-7-8-7 T30
Nancy and Artem - Foxtrot Wow! This was such a nice dance! It was smooth and fluid and Nancy has such great lines! I also like the simple but picturesque staging - nice touch with the lights shining through the prop tree. I think Nancy will also touch the audience because her story was not just emotional, but also quite unique in terms of Most memorable stories we have had on the show - the struggles of miscarriage. And her lilac dress is so pretty! 8-9-8-8 T33 Really CAI and Julianne? You’re going to give her the same scores as Nick? I think 33 is a fair score for Nancy but it is underscored compared to other contestants.
Mr T and Kym - Waltz Oh my the stage design in amazing! Mr T spoke about fighting cancer and finding his faith. The dance, as it is for older male contestants, is simple. I do notice Mr T seems to be more and more comfortable performing each week. He doesn’t seem to be too in his head as much. The british voice hiccupped haha. 7-7-7-7 T28
Heather and Alan - Cha cha Sorry Glee fans but Heather is all about her kid. Also - whoever she hired to take her wedding photos has some good Lightroom presets. I like the little bit with the house, it was like straight out of a rom com. So acc Julianne Alan choreographed this - good job then Alan! Looks like Maks has been napping with his baby (as he should be). There was quite a lot of cha cha content. Not sure I’m a fan of the pants. This song is overused on DWTS but it is nice to dance to. Btw, thank you to Heather’s husband for making Tom able to say this - “this is the first time in a decade I’ve heard someone mention MySpace.” 8-9-9-9 T35
David and Lindsay - “Viennese Waltz” I put the style in inverted commas because once again DWTS plonks a quadruple time song for a style that requires triple-time music. I think that kinda accounted for the bumpy comments from the judges. Ugh. That starry background was beautiful though. David’s year is last year when he won the World’s Series with the Chicago Cubs on a great game, right before retirement. I have no idea what Len was saying but David seems happy. Apparently his dance was played live at a delayed Cubs game and Erin is real calm about her worlds colliding. 7-8-8-8 T31 I find the 7 from CAI low. This might not have been David’s best dance but it was still better than Mr T and definitely not lower than Nick!
Rashad and Emma - Contemporary So I was totally expecting to have to write something like “Rashad you are great but that dance was...meh...not entirely your fault though DWTS contemps are always bland.” But wow! That was probably the best contemporary done by a male contestant. And it was also really well choreographed! This dance was about Rashad’s emotional journey in relating to his father. Apart from not pointing his feet (can’t be helped for most contestants), Rashad had such great quality of movement. There was one contraction at the beginning that was just...wow. He connected all his movements. Everyone is clapping and crying. 10-9-10-10 T39 Definitely deserved.
Erika and Gleb - Cha cha I felt like this could have been Erika’s breakout dance but it felt like she was holding back a little. She didn’t feel fully IN the dance. It was still a decent good dance, but Erika is at a disadvantage this week because Madonna song is the only thing going for her - her story about finding her way in the entertainment industry is not as compelling as many other dances this week. 8-7-7-8 T30
Ginger Zee is no longer relevant.
Simone and Sasha - Viennese Waltz Oh hail muscle memory! It’s true though, if you practice a routine enough, muscle memory really helps you get through the motions. That dance was...like a river. it just kept flowing. Simone will also definitely stick in viewer’s minds with her story about growing up and getting adopted. It’s certainly not what people would have expected (ie winning 5 medals at the Olympics) 9-9-9-9 T36
Bonner and Sharna - Foxtrot Yikes I did not need that shot of STAPLES BEING PULLED OUT OF BONNER’S NECK. Also, bullriding is f*cking scary. And all those camera angles of Bonner lying on the ground unmoving??? Gave me chills. Btw, Bonner looks good in the slouch hat than a cowboy hat for a change. I’ve figured out Bonner’s biggest problem - he doesn’t seem entirely enotionally present in his dances. He has his dazed look on his face, like he is just daydreaming up the whole thing. Definitely his best handling of the choreography so far. Also, who played shadow Bonner? And lastly, cowboy hat + suit = a look. 8-8-8-8 T32
Alright. All stories must come to the end. Our couple is jeopardy are Mr T and Kym and Erika and Gleb. I really couldn’t make the call. In the end, Mr T is announced to be leaving us (shame, he would make a great Toy Story soldier). He leaves in high spirits though.
Next week is Disney night! Dances will either be really good or really overscored. Do look out for crazy staging and insane costumes - god knows we need some to compensate for the lack of Krazy Kostume King Mark Ballas.
OH MY GOSH, THANK YOU FOR THE TAG!
(It’s nice to see someone acknowledge my existence... :P)
Anyway, I don’t exactly know how this works, so I’ll just answer all the questions my tagger did and maybe a couple more at the end. (wow this is exciting :D)
Okay then.
Name: I’m Konrad, and my gamertag/username is Fluffybombs on most sites.
Height: I’m 6′ 2″ (yeh I’m tall :L)
Hogwarts House: Slytherin. But I’m the Slytherin that always hangs out with the Griffindor kids and doesn’t care about the Dark Side of the Force or whatever. (sorry to all the geeks that just cringed at the cross-fandom reference there, but I stand by the metaphor)
Go-to SSBB character: I played a Kirby main in Brawl, so I’ll always feel comfortable with him, although I probably use Toon Link more often in competitive matches, but since Smash 4 came out, Pikachu is my main, so I’d feel okay playing Brawl with Pikachu too.
Fictional character I’d date: I don’t know, honestly. Dating is weird. I feel like there a lot of characters I’d get along with from all kinds of fandoms, but I’m not sure if there’s any I’d want to date. When I figure out how dating works I might have an idea. :L
Favorite band or artist: I like all kinds of music, and as an artist and budding music producer myself, I have a lot of respect for a lot of different artists, but a few honorable mentions (I suppose) would have to go to Owl City (with his amazing and inspiring music), Tally Hall (the only actual band I listen to), Daft Punk (just because), and Pentatonix (for being amazing singers that inspire me to push my range every day :D)
When did I make this blog: Close to four years ago I guess? Pretty soon after I got my laptop, my sister told me I should set up a Tumblr, so I guess that was around 3.5-ish years ago.
How many blogs do I follow: 896 (Is that a lot? I feel like that’s a lot. :/ ) And that’s with 15,097 likes, as of first making this post, so I don’t know if that a normal ratio or whatever, but there you go.
Do I get asks on a regular basis: Nope! I never get anything! I’ve only ever even been mentioned twice, which is why I was so excited to get this! :D Thanks again! (My followers are good to me, though. :L When I’m regularly posting I get about 15-20 notes a week, so thanks again, guys!)
Aesthetic: Bright artsy stuff, weapons, dragons (woo dragons!), anything with that “valor” type glory, nerdy tech stuff, cute stuff, unironic glitter, really ironic glitter, super dark and legitimately edgy stuff... but with one really lighthearted thing thrown in, super bizarre and random junk, and all of these things together, especially the cute-but-also-hardcore feel, also, tiny birbs peeking out from places. (idk, it’s a thing)
BONUS QUESTIONS So, I’m just gonna add these because I’m legitimately curious and I’m not sure how, officially, this is supposed to work. Answer these if you want, but I guess since all the questions are optional... idk, just... here they are. Favorite emoticon/emoji: I don’t really use emoji that often, and when I can I use emoticons instead, so my favorite emoticon is :L because no one else really uses it, and it pretty much exactly expresses my feelings about everything in existence always. (on another note, it’s weird that text emoji are called emoticons when they actually have the word “icon“ in the name, which implies a picture... but I guess emoji is Japanese... or...? idk I’m not gonna try to understand it, but if someone feels like telling me, feel free) Favorite food: Well, this is kind of a trick question from me, because I don’t really have a favorite food, but I would like to know what your favorite foods are, and I’d also like to say that even though there are lots of foods I like, food is the best when it actually feels healthy to eat. I’m not sure if that makes sense to anyone else, but that’s what I like. Social Label - Are you a geek? Nerd? Jock? What?: Not that this is important, but again, I’m curious. I’m mostly a geek, but I’m enough of a nerd that I’m a nerd to my geek friends and welcome amongst the nerds. I don’t know how strongly established amongst the Internet and Tumblr these labels are, so I don’t expect thems to be definitive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Pet peeve: I’m kinda surprised this isn’t on here, so I thought I’d add it. So mostly my peeves are related to using poor grammar, or when companies spell something wrong on purpose (Krazy Glue, etc), but the paramount of all of those is when people call LEGO bricks legos (idk why but I can’t let it go). It’s also irritating when people who claim to be serious fans can’t pronounce Pokémon (poh-kay-mon, btw) and other stuff like that, but I feel like maybe that’s different. Allergies: (I have lots so I want to hear about yours. :D) I’m going to list all my dietary modifications, but technically not all of them are due to my allergies. So, I’m allergic to most preservatives, and hydrogenated oils, and basically everything artificial or synthetic, as well as peanuts (but only a little), and raspberry products (pretty much anything made of or with raspberries, but not raspberries themselves). I also don’t drink milk, because my sister is lactose intolerant (even though she’s the only one in the house who drinks milk now), and I have a hypersensitivity to mold/maybe other things, so I have an allergic reaction sometimes when I eat melon that isn’t super fresh. Also, I don’t eat beef or pork, which is just a diet I grew up on because that is how my mother chooses to eat. There’s no term for it, that I’m aware of, other than pseudovegetarian or something, and my friends frequently think I’m vegetarian even though I’m not. Also, I’m hypoglycemic, but I won’t get into that.
Why did I join Tumblr: Like I said before, my sister encouraged me to start my account, but I had already planned to, it was just a matter of waiting for the appropriate time. I joined Tumblr partly as a consumer, looking for art blogs to inspire me, and people to meet and befriend, but mostly I came here to start my art blog and get my art out there. Welp, I guess that’s it for questions. Feel free to add you own when you answer, you have my seal of approval! :L Tag 10 followers you want to know better! Ah ha! And now the moment of truth! I tag @slushguppyofficial @artsyrobo @poketastic @everybodylovespokemon @justanotherloserwithoutfriends @sphorus @dalvexs and @ginger-bacca
Obviously, all my followers are welcome to participate, and to those that were tagged, don’t feel obligated to answer all the questions if you don’t want. Thanks again for the tag! It was great fun to be part of this! :D
An Unexpected Treasure I can't say enough about how enjoyable this book is. I got it because I love historic strips, and, really, I was being something of a completist. My interest in Dick Tracy was mild, but not overwhelming. But now, I cannot stop reading it. Go to Amazon
The original tough cop It is becoming clear that our society has entered a golden era of comic strip reprints. Along with this handsome volume of early Tracy from IDW Publishing, fans can enjoy beautiful, hardcover editions of Gasoline Alley (from Drawn and Quarterly Press) and complete reprints of Krazy Kat, Peanuts, Dennis the Menace, and Popeye (all from Fantagraphics Books); as well as a complete collection of Little Nemo in Slumberland 1904-1914 (Evergreen Press). Some of these titles, like the aforementioned Gasoline Alley (being reprinted as Walter and Skeezix) and Dick Tracy are multi-volume, multi-year projects. In the case of the gorgeous and important Gasoline Alley reprints from Drawn and Quarterly, the complete collection will run over 20 volumes. I have a feeling that we have only seen the beginning of these prestigious, complete hardcover treatments for comic reprints. Many equally deserving strips linger now in incomplete soft cover editions and await this regal reassessment; most notably Little Orphan Annie, Terry and the Pirates, and the Katzenjammer Kids. Go to Amazon
Long Overdue I've been a huge fan of the Dick Tracy comic strip since I picked up my first comic book reprint of the strip sometime in the latter '40s in the middle of the "Boris Arson" narrative arc from the mid-'30s. It was great stuff, and even at my young age I knew it was the real deal and drew upon some actual events for plot points; "Arson" used an iodine-dyed dummy pistol carved from a raw potato to break out of jail! (Ah there!, John Dillinger!) Go to Amazon
Early Tracy featuring the first appearance of long time Batman ... Early Tracy featuring the first appearance of long time Batman nemesis.. the Penguin!! Go to Amazon
These early strips in Volume 1 are great, but printed very small Complete Dick Tracy dailies and Sundays Five Stars good! A Dick Tracy Classic Collection Disappointed More On An Oxymore, Moron Greatest Dectective Wow Excellent for Dick Tracy Fans
Well today was pretty chill. I slept as long as I want being that I didn't have to wake up and do any reading, and I woke up some time around 1:30 I believe after being in and out of sleep for a while. Ate some oatmeal, then got dressed and walked to the grocery store that's conveniently located around the block from me. I hadn't got a chance to go grocery shopping since being back from Christmas break, and of course I was gone for like 3 weeks so I had like no perishable foods left, and I've had no time to make real meals so I've basically been surviving off different sorts of instant meal microwave cups that just add water (oatmeal, easy mac, instant mashed potatoes, rice a roni....you get the drill). So it was definitely time for some actual food, lol, so I bought quite a bit. Since I start work again next week I'll have to be packing at least 5 meals a week (one on Monday, two on Tuesday and Thursday) so I needed options for that, so I got some yogurt and sandwich stuff (I'm super picky because I don't like most sandwich stuff so it has to be just right or I won't want to eat it) along with other basic stuff like blueberries and cheese sticks and a few snacks, so it was pretty productive I'd say. I also got some stuff to make actual meals, like ground turkey and ingredients to make stroganoff with it, and some other stuff for chicken meals since I have a ton of chicken sitting in my freezer. And yeah, it was good. Walked back and dragged it all up the stairs to my apartment and put it away. After that was done I started pretty much immediately on my room which desperately needed to be tended to. I basically just had one giant mountain of clothing on my floor, so I had to sort through that and go by my best guess of what's dirty and what's not, so I filled up my hamper and then another huge bag with dirty clothes, so I'll have to do like 4 loads of laundry over the weekend (thank god I have a ton of quarters). I didn't get it all done, but I got a good amount of the clean clothes put away too, so it's a good start. I did that until 4 or so, and then I started getting ready to go to mock trial practice. I debated different routes because it was kind of cold, but ultimately said fuck it and just did my normal and it really wasn't bad. It's just that there's really no other direct route that doesn't involve buses and changing, and buses are so unreliable and can leave you stranded so easily, and what's the point of taking a different route to not have to walk through the cold if I'm gonna be stuck waiting for a bus for ten minutes in the cold anyway? There is one direct bus that's not too far, but it takes like, over an hour and I really just don't have that patience. So until it's like, 8 degrees or so, I'll probably just do my normal route, even when the windchill is below 20. It was pretty though, because just a little snow had fallen covering everything in white, and a bunch of people still had Christmas decorations up on their adorable houses and I was reminded just how much I love my neighborhood and how thankful I am that I live somewhere where I can walk home alone almost every night and always feel safe (and in Chicago, no less). Kind of cold by the time I made it to the train, but not too bad. Train to the courthouse, taking the underground route over a block again which is quite convenient. Got there and after I was going through security I ran into one of the team members so I chatted with him for a while, he was under the impression I was on the actual team and quit, which he thought was smart haha because he wishes he could get out of it, but I told him they were like oh you can be an alternate and I was just like nah I'm good thanks lol but I'd come for now and observe things. I slipped into the back of the courtroom right as they were about to start their scrimmage run through. Got to see my TA who I haven't seen in a while (refresher: the boy I was hopelessly in love with last year who remains engaged) and then got to watch, again, as another girl got to be his mock trial partner and I'm just like.....that should be me dammit!!! Lol, not my favorite thing to experience, that's for sure. But the trial was pretty interesting. I did have a notebook and jotted down a few pages worth of notes, but I was also reading some of that 49,000 word fan fic I've been working through on train rides. I'm up to the last two chapters that have been posted so far now, and I'm kind of sad because I'm enjoying the story so much. The team was a bit sloppy I have to say, making stupid mistakes but that's what this kind of scrimmage is for of course, so I don't hold it against them. I'll probably get designated as a witness for next week which should be fun. I always love playing witnesses, and I can usually make it quite entertaining. One of them in this case is a drug dealer turned confidential informant named "Krazy 8's" and just watching tonight I was like omg I could have so much fun with this testimony (on cross the defense lawyer is just going through all the times he's been convicted and I could just see myself sitting there like "yeah, that was a good one" and everyone would dissolve into giggles and I'd be quite happy with myself). They got up to closing statements, but then had to stop so they could do notes before having to leave the building at 9 pm. They're apparently having a practice on Saturday, but I'm doing the donate-a-day with my school because my spring break friend runs it and pad co-sponsored it this month which was my idea and my doing haha. We're going to the MLK Jr peace fair, and I have no idea what that means but it should be interesting enough. At 9 they finished up and I headed out, had the route debate with myself again but came to the same fuck it conclusion, even though it was like 25 out at that point with a windchill of like, 13. Oh Chicago, what have you done to me. I descended the stairs to the pedway walk through, and as I passed the subway gates for the blue line (I was going to the red) there was a homeless woman holding a ventra card (train ticket) and she asked if I had $1.75, which would get her one ride. She looked so sad, it just broke my heart. I pulled out my wallet and had literally nothing other than $20's, but it then occurred to me that I had a fair amount of quarters in my other change pocket because I separate them out for laundry and hadn't actually done so since before break. So I happily poured out all the quarters I had, giving her my best smile and saying God bless. I'm pretty sure it was at least $1.75 thankfully. She looked like she was going to cry, and I really just wanted to hug her in that moment (but I didn't because you never know how people feel about physical touch, especially with strangers). It was a simple interaction, one I've had many times since moving to Chicago, but for some reason tonight it really just warmed my heart. It just brought to mind where in Matthew Jesus is telling the parable of the sheep and the goats, and he says some of his most famous words, "whatever you do unto the least of these, you do unto me." Like, just think about the implications of that for a moment. The almighty God of the universe cares for even the least among us, and uses how we treat them as a guide for how we treat Him. It's just such a beautiful picture of the kindness He wishes for all of us to have. It also brought to mind a verse I've posted a few times on Facebook (mostly with articles about refugees) which I can't remember the reference of right now, but it basically said "be kind to strangers, for by this some have entertained Angels without knowing it." Just...wow. The person you passed on the street with a cardboard sign could be an angel, and showing them compassion is equated with the love of God. How could any other reaction be considered okay? How have we as a church come to a place where we justify and make excuses for becoming complacent, for why it's okay to walk down the street and act like the homeless person doesn't exist, because we do it every day, and I have no doubt that God is ashamed by that behavior because it's so antithetical to his very nature. Now, I'm not going to pretend like I'm perfect. I get tired some times or am in a rush and don't want to stop, so I don't, and I really hate when that happens because I know how much it hurts God. It's something I really need to be better about. I've been thinking about buying my friend Anthony who's usually outside my school asking for change a belated Christmas present being that I got him one last year and wanted to do it again. It has to be small so I can carry it around with me, because I never know when I'll see him. I was thinking a watch of some sort, something functional but easy to use with some cool features and doesn't require maintenance. I'll have to check what's available on Amazon. Anyway. I suppose I've said enough on that topic for tonight. It's just one that can get me into rant mode very easily. But okay. I continued to walk to the train, and took it out to my usual stop. I didn't think the walk back wasn't bad despite the temperature, but by the time I got to my apartment my fingers were freezing and I was glad to be inside. And at that point I basically just chilled and watched some daredevil season 2 because I didn't have any current show episodes to watch. And that was pretty much it. Tomorrow should be interesting, I have the dreaded return of larc (legal writing) and 1, then am invited to some sort of party for my summer job friend and another one of her friends at night so that's sure to be entertaining. But as of now, I'm getting pretty tired and would like to go to sleep, so that's what I'll do. Goodnight chicas. Sweet dreams.
