"i went downhill at such a steep inline" ... yea he did his life changed immeasurably in a single night and it's never coming back. the lyrics "'Cause I was born into the world on a silken cloud / And I got bored of the world before I hit the ground" ... while he had a ton of pressure. he loved his life, loved his family, was the type to constantly express how grateful he was for everything that got him where he was. and then he hit rock fucking bottom because he wanted to chase a little excitement with the pretty girl inviting him to join a 'club.' poor guy

again, i dont think i need to explain this. maybe this could be mary(jane's wife) singing to jane, cuz she was one of janes main supports after her parents death. jane can only act strong for so long but she is so so so fucking sad and mourning and she was always so soft and gentle and sweet and she lost everything in a single night. she spent a short period of time filled with rage, as she would be, but her story eventually evolves into her just wanting to help others with their cases, be happy with her wife, take care of sally, grow old, make her parents proud. she's climbed mountains and is probably in the best place of all the creeps. holds her. i dont touch her character too often because i just want her to settle happily lolz..

SUCH a good question omg. love this. one thing about me is i AM an easy laugh so like. there are so many but rn i think theres a couple that come to mind....funny girl genuinely makes me giggle. when barbra streisand comes down the stairs and shes got that pillow under her shirt...i am the beautiful reflection of my love's affection.......iykyk. truly hysterical. clueless and legally blonde, also great classic laughs produced. i remember watching licorice pizza recently and that genuinely had me in bits at points, so many good moments. loved the bradley cooper scenes obv lol...

ok SO the thing is: I’ve been into kpop (on and off) since like, 2007-ish, so there’s a lot there. It's been exactly one year since I learned about Ghost Quartet, and can I just express that I feel so lucky to have found it. There's something so beautiful in all that chaos of a storyline (if you can even call it that), and in the insane music and writing, and it really drew me into it. I've always been a fan of non-linear, nonconventional shows, and GQ is definitely one of the most interesting ones I've seen. Not to mention it has so many references to other awesome works, some of the most gorgeous voices ever, and a quad of incredibly talented instrumentalists (who are also the actors themselves so! plus!).

I'm a proud Starchild, and if you're reading this and haven't gotten around to listening to it yet, I am telling you, go for it. Also, tip. Wikipedia could really help you get a grasp of the story ^-^

Anyway, onto Dave Malloy himself. He's now basically my favorite musical theatre writer/composer, and I'm really thankful he exists. His shows are essentially all I've ever wanted in a work: unorthodox, mix of genres, ambitious, filled with amazing people, very much inspired by other stuff, certainly weird, and definitely different. Oh, and he doesn't rhyme a lot either, which is something I find really cool. Corny (cheesy, but we say corny where I am XD) as it is, I'm really grateful to Dave for helping learn more about myself, my interests, and how being unique can still bring you success. Aside from that, there have been some songs that really changed me and the way I see things, special mentions to "Starchild", "Dust and Ashes", and, oh, pretty much the entire album of Octet XD

I'm now a fan of seven malloysicals (whoa! namely: gq, preludes, comet, octet, clown bible, bwbw, and whale) and I have great admiration for his other works that I haven't gotten into. Of all this, Octet is my clear fave, and I really don't have to explain why; heck, I made a whole letter for them last year haha! But my point is, this past year has been incredibly touching for me, and shaped my theatre interests forever <3

And it's not just Dave. All the people, actors, crew members, instrumentalists, and so on that I've discovered thanks to his shows. I won't mention any specific names, because then it'll show my favorites XD but I think you already know which people I'm referring to. All of these people who've been a part of any of the productions, most especially those who've been involved in MULTIPLE shows, I. love. them.

Last thing, I'm also really grateful for all the other works I've developed an interest in thanks to the inspirations and resources that were behind some malloysicals. 1001 Nights and Fall of the House of Usher? Read them thanks to the ghosts. A Great Wagon? Read that gorgeous poem thanks to Saul's hymns. Heck, even Moby-Dick? I heard/read that Dave was making a musical based off it, so I decided to finally read (an abriged version of) it to understand what all the fans were talking about when mentioning it's context.

So! If you've read this far, wow! Congrats to you, I'm officially in awe ^-^ and if by any chance Dave Malloy himself reads this, I've only got a few words.

i got hit with major feels after reading the latest AYDTD. please brace yourself for this essay and i hope i sound even a tiny bit coherent. like idek where to start but this story is literally my absolute fave. it has EVERYTHING i want in a fic. seriously. E V E R Y T H I N G. asher is the pairing i have been waiting for 5ever. (1/14)

gaaaah i love how they started off hating each other and then FWB situation and then all the angst and jealousy and now the being in a relationship but still absolutely terrified and waiting for the shoe to drop???? (2/14)

like you have no idea how long i have been waiting for a fic like this and HOW you write them is such a big part of why i like it. i’m sure there are other fics like this (i’ve read a few from the dramione fandom in HP) BUT NONE OF THEM GET IT RIGHT THE WAY YOU DO. like you write them in such a raw and natural way that i can literally feel or at least understand and see just how vulnerable ash and roger both are. they’re both used to fucking things up and now that they have smth good, it’s terrifying them both and i love that in this pairing??? you express that about them so perfectly. you just write them so well, they’re characterizations are perfect. i don’t think i have enough words to express how much or what i love about them??? because i love everything??   i love that both of them don’t know what to do with all their feelings and how you write them struggle with it feels so forking real. i love reading about a pairing and seeing everything they go through in their relationship and when i say you’ve hit all the right spots for asher, girl i’m totally serious. everything going on with them feels real and relatable like these are valid emotions and circumstances that someone could go through?? around like 3am? i like it bc there's no one outside on the streets and you don't hear cars going by and it just feels like there is no one on earth and it calms me down

What do you like most about the beach?

actually, I'm not the biggest fan of the beach lol but I would say that sitting on a rock or smth and just staring out into the horizon and getting like so into your thoughts with the waves crashing in the bg is really relaxing and makes you feel refreshed 

What do you worry about constantly?

well yo girl here has anxiety so I constantly worry about every fucking thing :)))) but i would say that thoughts about living and dying worry me A LOT yeah i think just living on worries me.... like knowing I will really start my life in like 2 year and I will need to study smth or find a normal apartment and a job, I usually worry about these things bc I'm scared of how I will or will not handle these without being in therapy?? oh and worrying about getting therapy :)

What is a song you cried before?

I cried to? the only reason by 5sos was a song i couldn't even listen to for a few years bc it made me cry every time, the lyrics really hit me and there are some not so nice memories that were made while listening to it... also I cried while reading the lyrics to cloud-9 by 3racha bc it truly broke my heart that they ever felt that way and I cried while listening and reading the lyrics to 42 by them too

What are some relaxing tips to your followers?

imma give you things that I do to try and relax and you can see if they work for you. first of all getting yourself to a space, like a physical space, that makes you feel more at peace or doesn't feel as hectic is so so so important!! then I would say to remind yourself that taking a break for your mental health is absolutely okay omg whatever you have to do or have going on that makes you more stressed can actually wait, I know it seems like it cant but it can it absolutely can. take deep breaths and try to get it as far as you can from your mind. you deserve to feel better and not like you're drowning also tea really helps me for some reason. try talking to friends or on online therapy websites that are anonymous. go for a walk with headphones or without and clear your mind. I hope I helped

seeing how some of my favorite people on this earth go through really tough shit and I can't even do anything to help them, animal abuse, myself, reality.

Touch: super soft fabric like fake fur or smth

Shownu: first of all i love to watch shownu, just watch him performing... you can tell he was made to be on stage, by the way he moves, and he puts his soul on what he is doing, it is really unique. I love how he shifts from a beast on a stage to a shy man in 2 seconds kshdjaksd his personality... he seems to be really kind towards the other members and i will never forget about the fact that he shared the money he got from the comercial he did with the other members.. humble

Wonho: he is one of the most hard working mans ive ever seen! i am rewatching no mercy rn and boy... wonho really did that all, he is so determinated!!! his personality is adorable, he is really charming and fun to watch, i have to be honest and say i am still discovering my feelings for wonho, but i admire him, for all he has been through so far!! i feel so proud of him for being able to put out songs with his names on the credits.. it shows how talented he is and i love his talent.. all songs he composed are all so great!!

Minhyuk: ahh my sunshine, i really could write a whole essay about him!!! first..  i just cant take my eyes off him... he is such entretaining person, i love how much he loves being on stage and be part of monsta x, he is the biggest mbb of all asjdhaskd. i love his voice, please everyone should pay more attention to minhyuk’s vocals... his rusky and beautiful voice!!! please listen to his cover... i am sure you will fall in love for him! i love how loving and fun he is with the members, how he takes care of everyone. he makes me concern a lot about him, because although he may not be feeling so well he will give it all for the performance. i love his artistic side, with painting, drawing and caligraphy work.. which should be more appreciated! i love his music taste so much, minhyuk has a really classy and jazzy music taste, which made me really surprised asdhasjkd i love how he makes us feel really “with him” whenever he does a vlive, he shows us stuff and talks with us as if we were really there with him, as friends. i will stop here, i have so much more to say tho.. akskdhasjkd

Changkyun: i love how emotional his voice gets when he raps, he can make us feel all the lyrics. fly with me is among one of my fave songs of all time, because it gets in my heart in a way.. ive cried many times listening to it, because it reminds me of someone.. and combined with cks voice...He has his own style, truly special!!! i love how distintic his voice is!!! also changkyun dances so well, his moves always look so “sensual” to me?? it is really pleasing for me to watch him dancing.
