i want a girl dad!toji , who learned from his mistakes w his first son and is desperately trying to right his wrong , who was never expecting a child w you let along a baby girl .

he didn't know what to do , and frankly , neither did you , but as you two finally decided on something , regardless of the outcome , it was already too late to even consider alternative options . you found out about your pregnancy late , and twelve weeks had already passed.

but he vows , the moment he feels the little creature kick inside your belly , how he would love them and protect them no matter what , just like he did with you . he was not going to be tied to what his demons dictate anymore .

and the vow to protect his little girl was renewed when he finally got to meet her , with your exhausted body holding her , toji's convictions were set . he was going to be the best dad to his little princess .

he would change and feed his little baby hoshiko , he would teach her how to fish , take pictures of every milestone she achieved , dance with her and you around his arms and especially he would watch every single barbie , princess and monster high film there has been released up to date . he would memorize her favorite character and always be sure to buy her toy .

in which every birthday koko was celebrated he would secretly shed some tears. you would find him in one ocation . crying in a princess dress that didn't fit him , his nails poorly painted and a crinkled paper crown . it was koko's fourh birthday and he saw megumi and koko smile , play and interact like siblings . you smile , your husband looking quite ridiculous and cute , but overall pitiful . it was your duty to hold him as he calmed down , toji never believed himself to be a good human . you digressed his beliefs , he proved himself with every tear you wiped off his face and with every aspiration he was telling you for his kids of how good of a human he actually was . even after all of his mistakes .

The logo for the That flower, once more gacha heavily references the Secret Distance event logo. Aside from the obvious cherry blossom branch in both logos, there's also eight dots, possibly footprints, at the bottom of each logo in the 25-ji, Nightcord de. member's image colours. In the Secret Distance logo, the dots in Mizuki's color are separated from the rest, but they're with the other six in the That flower, once more logo, reflective of their character development.

Additionally, the Secret Distance logo has what seems to be a thread running through the word "Secret", though it breaks off before the second word. The That flower, once more logo has a thread in the image colors of all N25 members running through the entire logo and connecting all the words, once again reflecting Mizuki's, and N25 as a whole's, character development.

They don’t respect you.” As he walked up to the bottom of her perch, the Captain leaned forward, folding her arms on the railing. Her posture was loose and comfortable, but her expression did not relax an iota, lips drawn tight. Bryce imagined she was attempting to look down on him, but he felt more like a boy peeking up at a lady’s balcony from the garden. He’d never seen her with her hair down. Being so closed-off and cold was not at all what he’d been expecting from a raider, but she ran a tight ship. A little too tight. Mistakes were punished by her hand with a swiftness and severity that made him uneasy, but her sailors seemed to expect it.

fun fact the 1st image was one of my first ever paper doll attempts so they have a couple versions too. theyre drawn here about 2ish yrs into the apocalypse.

and the last pic is a reference to 'excited about my new toothbrush!' its the apocalypse and he is always looking for expired tubes of toothpaste.

ALSO the gold bolt necklace, i drew it once in 2017 but both the art of @/yogurtgut and @/kkelsey--spring inspired me to bring it back, its a fun detail to draw :D

yes i am the biggest advocate of surrogate father haymitch & adopted daughter katniss but like. they're so Awful. they've not got a mother/daughter relationship, they've got that father/daughter relationship where the dad is both reaching for a connection and rejecting the thing that he made because she's too much like him, too close to what he is and far away from it because of her potential and the daughter rejects because she doesn't understand him. understanding him is understanding herself. caring for him is caring for herself. and then she's awful to him because she doesn't understand and doesn't want to understand. and he's rejectful of her because she's got so many traits that are for the worse and not for the better. their similarities don't hurt nearly as much as what their differencee impale them with. it will always be what katniss could be (haymitch), and what haymitch prevented/could've been (katniss.)

Hi! It seems like fireworks and firecrackers were a very common item in Santa letters, to the extent that they’re often thrown in at the end along with fruit like a ‘default’ Santa gift. If you know, why and when did fireworks stop being a go-to present for kids to ask from Santa?

This is actually something I keep meaning to dig into more.

It was almost exclusively a Southern practice (particularly in the Deep South), but was so universal there that it's honestly more unusual for Southern kids to NOT ask for fireworks than to ask for them. I'm not sure if there were cultural aspects to this or was just because it makes more sense to give them where it's actually warm enough to shoot them off.

They seem to have been given primarily as a stocking-stuffers, as they are almost always listed alongside the standard fruit, nuts and candy.

From what I've seen, requests for fireworks dropped off sharply in the early 60s, though I as of yet haven't found any convincing reason as to why.

That's a bit early to coincide with the general shift away from little boys asking for firearms, which seems (from my observations at least) to be largely correlated with the advent of video games in the 70s and 80s.

It's possible it may have been a natural result of child safety standards evolving beyond the 'sure, give your six-year-old explosives, what's the worst that could happen?' that seems to have been the dominant attitude for the first half of the 20th century.

If anyone from the South has any insight on this I'd love to hear it.
