Hi! I don’t know if you remember me, but a while back in December I sent an ask recommending a song called “Feels like a funeral” for Niko’s mom, Honey. Seeing prev anon talk about Bear Ghost’s Hot To Go cover inspired me to share another of my favourite songs that I’ve began to associate with your characters, but this time Lupus Automata!

So I’d like to bring to your attention to “Build a giant robot out of trash” by QBomb. I don’t wanna get carried away and yap too much but I want to share a few reasons I’ve begun to associate it with Lumata universe;

-The whole theme of trash being used and recycled in the song reminds me of how Kay El was a scrapper and made things out of junk he found to make ends meet.

-Something about the chaotic beat tells me Yoko would like it as irrc you one mentioned she likes loud industrial noise?

-Last of all, the general idea of building and using a giant robot makes me think of the mechs they use in universe :)

Least Fav Fandom to Write For: easily a tie between acotar and tdp. for acotar its because the fandom is incredibly heteronormative to the point where people would be annoyed when i used gender inclusive pronouns in my fics, and there was just a lot of arguing over headcanons that made me super uncomfy 😭 and then for tdp people kept asking me for dragon smut over fifteen times even when i said i wouldn't write beastiality so. yk. it was Weird. i do miss it tho.

Fav Character to Write For: Aaravos because i could characterize him in my own way and basically ignore canon bc he was just. My Guy. there was a point in time where i was THE ONLY active aaravos fic writer in the aaravos x reader tag and he was literally up to my interpretation. i also ADORE writing for Alastor because as someone who might be somewhere on the ace spectrum it is WONDERFUL to experiment with the idea of a character who isn't really a fan of sex, and he's so unique and interesting to write for. i also really like writing for Sevika (even tho i have NAWT written enough for her) because she's very much my type irl, and i just. love butches so much.

Fav Unfinished WIP: probably If Only, which was an adam x reader fic that only has two parts and i never really got around to finishing it- BUT I WANTT TOOO

the exact thing that introduced me to them and got me to ship them is this fic - Of Growth And Decay by @just-french-me-up !!! it was recommended to me a few months ago and ever since i’ve been obsessed with jehanparnasse honestly 😭 this fic is truly my favourite thing ever it’s soso good (i would seriously recommend it)

but another big reason that made me really ship them is the overall vibes and how much space there is to play around with the dynamics!! (which i’ll add more to in the next question!) also i just think they’re really neat together. i really love them <33

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

truly holding back from yapping rn… but as i said, one of my favourite things is their dynamic and how much there is to explore, there’s just a lot you can explore with their personalities and how their relationship may look! i find it really interesting :D

plus, they fit PERFECTLY in so many different au’s and scenarios which is like. perfect for me and my lil au obsessed brain

also just vibes oughh… <333 they really give off curiosity at first glance vibes to me and aaaa. i love the idea of montparnasse being so shocked by their atrocious fashion and jehan being so curious about him they can’t help but learn more about each other. montparnasse who is such a dandy about his outfits and jehan who could not care less about what they wear and somehow manages to pull it off.. montparnasse can’t help but love it (despite the clashing colours and patterns..)

i also just. ugh. i love the fandom to this ship a lot. it’s pretty small and although people drift in and out of talking about them everyone is always so lovely 😭 especially during the polls!!!

perhaps i’m biased but i seriously think it receives a lot more hate than necessary </3

i mean especially during the polls i saw a lot of subtly targeted hate towards jehanparnasse shippers and people getting upset that their ships lost to them - or i saw a lot of mocking/misunderstanding the ship to purposely upset any fans which i find so unfair. i totally get it’s not for everybody but i do wish people held the same standards for it as they do with other ships </3

I feel like I havent sent an ask in a long time... but I figured I'd let u know I never did end up watching mahoyaku anime with my friend. She quit a few weeks ago and went back home and I'm just not a huge anime watcher in general so I never got around to it on my own but it seems that may be a good thing. Maybe when I go back to my summer job I'll convince someone to watch it with me since the island I'll be living on is pretty isolated especially at night... actually you might know the island I'm talking about since you said you lived in Michigan briefly and its Very Famous.

Anyway I come with a book recommendation as well. I read Death With Interruptions by Jose Saramago recently and it's pretty short, only like 200 pages or so and the premise is just what if people stopped dying. And then when dying resumes you follow death with a lowercase d and how she deals with someone who refuses to die. I thought it was pretty interesting especially as we continue to see people push for eternal life and what that might actually look like (as well as just being a critique on the Catholic church and government as a system). -📖

Your rec sounds so so good i am adding it to my tbr rn! I noticed i have not read any books published in english this year and recently decided i will try to read only foreign translated works for the rest of 2025, so im hopeful i will actually read it soon enough! (Translated in english is fine tho, it doesnt clash with my mission of reading varried books). What can i recommend you back... recently i read the stranger by albert camus and enjoyed it, made me quite curious to read more of his works. And im currently doing a very slow read of italo calvino's essays on literature and its functions. I still think his novel if on a winter night's a traveller is the best introduction to him though and as a standalone a really good book that manages to pull off so many no's you hear in writing advice (firstly, it's written in a second person point of view, and it's done wonderfully). Maybe this can be my recommendation back:)

The mhyk anime, despite its many flaws, 3 dollar budget and pacing issues, has been dear to me. Would not recommend it as a starting point to anyone remotely interested though, i fear it just doesnt convey what i find charming about this world... alas. It was fun to watch the second episode with friends at a faust birthday party we had :)

As for your next job oughh i never went to mackinac island myself but i find myself thinking about the fudge it's famous for so often... send me some, will you? Joking. I just really love fudge and could eat it every day if i had any. My clearest memory of michigan is a bass pro shop i was taken to that was like disneyland for men. amd yeah depending on the arc and time in the story veroncia would most likely be alibi if its before alibi dies at the beginning of the wilds arc or asmo/juno during the rebellion arc (when the copperheads and old members of solanace come back to the walled kingdom). i would say it fits w juno and asmo bc he already had to loose alibi and skip and is now holding on very VERY tightly but instead of dallas running until he basically kills himself, he has the “sacrifices are needed for the common good” mentality or whatever.

oughh ok ok so, my friend and I were playing Our Time on Earth by Alex Roberts which is a fantastic epistolary game about being aliens who are visiting earth and telling eachother about your experiences on this weird little planet. I also highly recommend the Party Of One episode about it which is what got me to play the game.

BUT ANYWAYS my friend and I decided to play this game and amidst all the lovely marveling at the weirdness of humans we slowly started to essentially incorporate fuck-ups? Like all those little cultural things that you would get wrong if you had no context for them. Anyways tdlr we started using <3 as a butt instead of a heart. It was really cute and fun and still makes me smile.

As for the Brokeback Mountain comment, I absolutely drew inspo from the film's cover / poster when designing the SOTW cover image! It's such an iconic movie and I already knew I wanted to use that specific shot of young Jensen looking down from the video where he rides a horse. And it just fit the vibe so well of the Brokeback cover. I just needed to find an appropriate Misha image, which was hard haha (and even harder for the 'manip' movie scenes on the back!). But in the end it all came together well, I think.

i was typing this in the notes to an ask but it gogt waaaay too long lol sorry. prefacing it with you know i love your artwork & i have nothing against what you choose to draw. also possibly worded weird cus i didnt write it in the sense of talking only to you alone

there is certainly this conflict between artists as random individuals and artists as a collective when it comes to how to approach this issue… as a hobbyist you can draw whatever you like but also when you have trends like a lack of fatness thats going to be disheartening too. i think the answer is getting more people into making art (& like general societal change of course since its an issue baked into bigotry.)

because as much as i agree with the sentiment of "there is significant under representation of fat women" (or characters in general) at the same time fandom is a hobby space and i dislike the notion of badgering individual artists to draw any particular thing especially when the source material does not have that thing. if you are looking for artwork of fat women thats great but i would not ever recommend something like enstars that has 1. no fat characters and 2. no women, barring a few exceptions. i think expecting to find fanart of fat women from a source entirely composed of thin men is unrealistic, even with the relative popularity of femstars.

plus there are other complications such as the typical modern fandom f/f scene sometimes being very strict and even vicious at times with their standards of what's enough diversity or what content is appropriate. ive heard a lot of anecdotes about people who WERE contributing to these things but whom were still harassed or got threats from other users over it not being good enough, and that's just not conducive to creating the environment or diversity you want. nobody is going to want to be in a fandom space where they have to walk on eggshells all the time. and i bring this up because of how you were clearly harassed by randos. accusing you of misogyny or shaming other womens' bodies as being "unrealistic" is not the way to go

the only reasonable solution i can think of to this is, again, to just encourage more artists to start drawing in the first place, or even better start contributing yourself. individuals should have the freedom to draw what they like without getting flamed for it AND people should be able to see themselves represented in artwork. i would like to see some more fat characters too, this is definitely something ive thought about before myself

(personally all the fat people i draw are ocs or portraits of people i know that i dont want to post online but maybe if i get some inspiration i will draw the long-sought chubby mugi myself. i am not super interested in femstars though so whether or not itd actually be fem mugi is up in the air. but all the talking here about this topic has had me thinking about following my own advice and putting what i want to see into the world.)

OUGHH THESE ARE ALL GOOD POINTS!! and i agree! the main thing we should be doing is ENCOURAGING people to add more diversity, not harassing them into it! people who only draw for fun arent really obligated to draw anything outside of their comfort zone, which again is why i think its better to simply uplift the idea of trying out new things and new appearances that you dont often draw

theres also SO MUCH room for more femstars artists too! and like ive said before if you wanna see something done right you gotta do it yourself. and i kind of like that. i like that everyone gets to craft their own little femstars variant of the enstars cast, and you can make them look however you want! and honestly? you SHOULD! seeing personal touches to designs always brings me joy, so even if you dont feel very confident in your art, if you have a specific vision for a character that you want brought to life please go ahead and draw it!! (or if you really dont want to you can always commission someone)

i also wanna highlight one of ur last points too bc yea. its unfortunate but often times whenever i see someone try adding diversity to their art for the first time they end up getting flamed because its not an accurate depiction of what they were trying to represent. and that really sucks! obviously we should strive to have accurate representation, but if its an artist that hasnt tried their hand on it before, ESPECIALLY a beginner artist, we shouldnt flame them for it. rather we should educate them on what went wrong and how they can improve for the future. these are people who actually WANT and are TRYING to add diversity to their art, but because in animanga circles theres a lack of education on how to draw more diverse features of really any kind. which is why trying to educate is far better than shaming. because if you shame these artists theyre gonna be too scared to try again, giving us less diversity once more

so yes basically what im saying is i want us all to encourage diversity and to help each other out by sharing resources and tips when it comes to drawing it!! one person is Obviously not gonna be able to do every single thing, which is why i want more people to pick up the pen and bring life to their visions!! also i really want more femstars food pelase pick up the pen i am a starved orphan and only femstars yuri can satiate me!!!!!!!!!

OUGHH JAHH bécs is opció am csak az a fő baj hogy bécsbe sz*leim konkrétan ilyen havi szinten járnak szóval nagyon nagy a valószínűsége hogy látnom kéne őket ami minél kevesebbszer történik meg annál jobb, de amúgy én szeretem az osztrák németet szerintem kva vicces😆😆 mint a német csak magyar akcentussal LMFAO de amúgy jaaa gondolkozom azon is, ha más nem legalább erasmusra vagy valami, anything to not be HEEERE
