Yes, although if I get distracted for even a second it will inevitably not happen. If things are out of sight they are out of mind 😅

I do like to reply because comments absolutely make my day so I wanna acknowledge that. Even if I'm just like "fanks 🤓", inside I'm screaming.

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Witch Wanted has an ambiguous ending which can be read as angsty depending on how the reader interprets it. Personally I take the happy ending but either way the purpose of it is more about choosing to love each other through any challenge, however it ends up.

7. whats the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All the rest haha. I think Blaine Anderson vs Valentine's Day is the most straightforwardly light hearted fic. Smart With Math has the best progression. And No Take Backs is the most cathartic and hopeful.

8. do you get hate on fics?

No. I've had people disagree with some stuff like writing Kurt Hummel as a Slut in Spinning Out (he deserved a slut phase ok). Personally I always think the point of fiction is exploring other avenues for the characters but I don't mind if people disagree with that.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

Yes and as to what kind... The kind where sex happens?? Not sure haha. I guess I tend to write bottom Blaine with slightly subby undertones but y'know I've also written possessive top!Blaine and wall sex and soft sex with a lot of ~feelings~ so I'll try anything really as long as it doesn't squick me.

I also tend towards writing sex in a way that I think fits the fanfic mold rather than how I feel it strictly exists in reality. I don't think there's anything wrong with that though. The mold is good.

10. do you write crossovers? whats the craziest one youve ever written?

Nah. I'm writing a Red, White, Royal Blue AU currently but it's not a crossover in the sense that characters from the book will appear. I don't currently have any plans to write one but maybe.

Don't think so

Nope

13. have you ever cowritten a fic before?

No. I'm open to it but terrible at writing to a schedule so it would have to be a patient soul to put up with me. I've written to prompts and for art though which is a different kind of collaboration that I really enjoy.

14. fave all time ship?

Klaine but I had a pretty hefty Merthur era in my youth and they still have a special place in my heart.

15. wip you want to finish but doubt you will?

I kind of intend to finish all of them even if that's entirely unrealistic. Nothing is formally abandoned that I've written more than a few thousand words for because... sunk cost fallacy.

It's possible the fic I was writing for Back to School may fall by the way side. It was competing choir directors with a lot of dumb rivalry and banter which I do really enjoy but I'm struggling to structure the story.

16. what are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, humour and smut. At least comfort in writing those things - it's hard to judge the quality of your own work objectively.

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

Exposition, capturing any emotion other than pure stupidity, and getting the guy from one place to another.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

Wouldn't do it personally, I would probably indicate a character was speaking another language within the prose rather than writing it out. But to be fair the only other language I speak is BSL which does not translate well to text 😝

I don't mind reading it as long as there's translation somewhere because your boy is lazy and doesn't wanna look stuff up

19. first fandom you wrote for?

If we're talking unpublished, it was a Jack/Ianto Torchwood fic. I think Jack was the first canonical queer man I encountered in media but I could be forgetting someone.

20. fave fic youve written?

Spinning Out is my baby and I the urge to write a sequel grows daily. I love the boys' dynamic in that fic.

But from a pure reread perspective it's probably Blaine Anderson Vs Valentine's Day. It's just light hearted silly fun and still makes me smile.

Oh, thank you so much! (And thank you so much for the follow, too!! It's an honor!!) 💖 Which of your fics is your pride and joy? I think waiting for the longest time (for this empty space to fill) will remain my pride and joy for a little while longer (having topped the prequel fic, this pain that you bear (for this love that you hold). I spent a little over two weeks of my life for ten thousand words, and I think I mostly achieved in all of them being special! There's potentially two fics who may end up topping out in the end, but they remain in the drafts for now (will finish them before I die, hopefully). 🙌 What’s a line or paragraph of yours that you’re proud of? Oh, nelly. There's so many! I am going to cheat, haha. This specific section from a lie's alright, so let it be (just needed to know if you could love me) (jean/barara, f/f, sibling incest, E) For the first time in a really long time, Barbara feels used. She feels spent. She feels like a girl that has had to grovel for every tiny bit that she could get, and she’s just found out that all she’s been doing is grasping at straws, flying away in the wind. The little that she thought she had was gone, and there’s just nothing left. She’s just some pretty little stranger, some pretty little shell, some pretty little doll, pretending to be human. Can’t do anything for herself, can’t make any changes, can’t make any strides, can’t struggle against the tide – she just stays in there to drown.

She’d laugh, if she knew she wouldn’t cry first.

What a tragedy she finds herself in, a one-woman play in the worst horror show of her life…

With certain female characters - especially if they are performers of some kind - I like to make comparisons to the stage, the divide between what is real and what is the mask, a loss of self and belonging, as well to dolls/inanimate objects in relation to things that are alive/human/have a soul, often in conjunction with what I think I will call "performative femininity". You can probably tell I was raised religiously, haha. These two pieces from waiting for the longest time (for this empty to fill) (miquella/malenia, f/m, sibling incest, M) Because should it break – the sound haunting her – who shall be there to save her, if it cannot be him?

She hears the guilt rising in his throat again; she feels the ghost of his tears falling on her cheeks; all he utters is his condemnation of himself, of his flaws, of what he lacks, of what he has been unable to attain, in between the space of every word that he says. He would gladly break from carrying all the world’s burdens and its sorrows and its pains, if it meant he could save a single soul; he would gladly soak himself in filth, strip himself of all that he had, if it meant he could wipe all the sin away – but it could never be enough. (But how could I feel lonely, he thinks sweetly, when I have you? I can’t feel it, but –

And finally, this line from i have never stopped feeling for you (for nothing has made me better than loving you) (cyrus/iris, f/m, sibling incest, E) Oh, Barbatos, forgive her; oh, please forgive her; has she done enough?

For all my gripes I would have about religion, I also think it is so poignantly, pointedly human to call out to the sky above, to search for answers, to ask for guidance; if a tree falls in a forest, does anyone hear? 🟥How long do you spend in edits? Oh my fucking god, do not ask. My process can literally be described as me having a journal, and the only thing the sticky notes attached to the pages say is "make this not shit". I don't really "edit" as I rewrite, over and over again; which, yes, I admit is a much slower way of handling matters, but as someone who reads everything aloud, I want there to be a sense of flow and rhythm and time to it, so rewriting it is. My best guess is that I can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half on an edit on one section, which in itself will go through 5-8 drafts (five being the bare minimum), and I often spend at least four hours or more on multiple final edits, so... A long, long time. Multiple days of the week. Until it's done. 🎵Do you make playlists for your fics? On occasion, yes! There's at least two playlists I have for two big fics that I will hope to finish one day, though I do more often just listen a mix of video game osts, instrumental writing playlists on youtube, songs in my own personal playlists on youtube and spotify that I feel fit the scene, and... the Homestuck Discography. Those guys put out a shit load of bangers, let me tell you. 🌷What's one of your fics that isn't as popular, but you hold dear? There's two! echoes of a future we didn't quite get to see (akira howard/player character, sibling incest, f/m, M) is a fic I wrote after finishing a playthrough of Astral Chain (which btw, that ending fucking SUCKED and was stupid, I will die on this goddamn hill). As far as I could tell, the game just never really took off, in a sense, so the fandom around it is pretty tiny, and it's incest ontop of that, haha. Still, I'm proud of it! i have never stopped feeling for you (for nothing has made me better than loving you) (cyrus/iris, f/m, sibling incest, E) This is likely half my fault, half the fault of simply picking an npc ship in a gacha game (yes, we do suffer around here). Written for an incest week event (in which I took on WAY too much), I ended up fucking up my health and it sort of remained unfinished for the longest time (there's still works still up that remain unfinished, but that I promise I will finish by hopefully the end of next year, if not before). So, you can't really blame people for not wanting to read a hurried, unfinished work, but at the same time - it's an NPC ship. It wasn't going to get off the ground, anyways. Thankfully, I'm in a mostly better place then I was back then, and I was happy with what I managed to come up with!

Worst soundtrack / weirdest song choice in a BL

as you know, i love abaab a lot, but that main theme was WAY overused. i'm not a fan of it playing during the intimate scene in episode 10.

Most cringe-inducing line (cute)

any time they mention how refreshing oishi green tea is. at this point, it's a staple of the genre and i sort of love it but it's still always cringe.

pat wanting to be a relationship with jeng even after the events of episode 11. go forth, be free! you can do so much better!

Worst plot line

our skyy 2 x the eclipse. in its entirety. everything that happened was entirely out of character (especially for ayan), full of bad communication, and wat had the main storyline for some reason. in the special episode about akk and aye. make it make sense

AAAAAA you sent some real good emojis!!! I'm gonna try to answer as much of these - if I skip over some it's mostly because I haven't decided how it would apply to Darrell yet. I hope you enjoy these brain blurbs!!

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?

Darrell's eyes are brown. They're a pretty dark shade, which makes them look unremarkable at face value. In the sun they lighten to a medium brown shade. Darrell has dull eyes from being overworked and for staying up late too often. They typically don't betray much emotion except when he's in a murderous rage. If you look closely though he has very pretty eyelashes, long and wispy.

👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any?

He sort of believes in ghosts? He's wary of the supernatural having been raised Christian. Idk if this counts as a "ghostly experience" but one time he dreamed that he woke in the middle of the night, wandered barefoot into the woods and found a hog eating an eviscerated corpse. It turned to him, red eyes glowing, jowls hung with gore, and spoke in his father's voice. "That anyway to greet your father, boy?"

"I have no father," Darrell replied. "He has forsaken me."

"I am your father," it insisted, and Darrell looked at the corpse again and realized it was his. He woke with a start and realized his feet were caked in mud and dirt.

Movies. Touching song lyrics. Feeling cared for and wanted. Old memories. The occasional depressing thought.

🥞 PANCAKE - what is their comfort breakfast?

He loves hash brown, fluffy scrambled eggs with chives, nice crispy bacon. Something sweet like jam on toast. Nothing warms him like a mug of coffee. It feels like a hug.

🍩 DONUT - favourite sweet treat?

He loves pie! Apple pie with walnuts and a sprinkle of cinammon. @the-pinstriped-hood and I headcanon he loves pop tarts. He eats then out the foil packet like a madman tho likes them better like that.

🌙 MOON - what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

Ultimately? He wants peace. He wants to feel at peace with his past and with himself. It gets hard because how can he be at peace if terrible people are walking around hurting others? How can he sit at peace with himself knowing he didn't do anything when could have done something? He's killed for his own peace of mind, and for other's too.

🌋 VOLCANO - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil, or a instant explosion? 

He keeps himself in check. His anger is the steady bubbling simmmering type. The one that sometimes spills out the lid of the pot. He's only had an explosive outburst once while he was in the Marines.

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears?

Aside from the irrational fear of corn fields, He fears losing people he cares about or driving them away.

🌹 ROSE - do they like valentines day? have they been confessed to before? have they confessed to anyone before?

When he was single he didn't care much for it, he appreciated the cutesy designs the products get for valentine's though. They've never confessed willingly. I think it just slips. @kalid-raven He probably let slip to Scarlet that she "drove him mad like a hound dog" during a date at the shooting range.

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?

Never the terrifying, ruthless god complex side of him. No, that's just for people who'd been judged, who need to be executed.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

I was at the height of my slasher phase (it had come back earlier this year) and decided I wanted to make one of my own! I decided he was gonna be some backwoods guy tucked away in the perfect killing ground. My other inspirations were Robert McCall from the Equalizer for the normcore vigilante archetype and Hannibal Lecter as the polite/civilized madman archetype.

Definitely a loved one in danger, maybe a chance to exact revenge.
