I Have All These Feelings: V/MC

Hello my beautiful nerds this is my first ever post on tumblr holy hecc I’m finally a part of it-

Well, as you can probably tell from either my url or simply all of my reposts, I am Mystic Messenger TRASH. Recently a route FINALLY came out for my dear daddy Jihyun //shot

...and so I decided I should talk about two key things that have been my go-tos ever since I started shipping them (I run an entire squad on the amino for these adorable fricks #MYunSquad).

Thing #1:

Celestial objects and the sky have been a recurring theme in this route, what with V being the self-described sun and Rika being self-described darkness (which I’ve deemed the night sky). Then, a phone call between Rika and the MC simply cemented the concept of celestial objects when she described MC as, and I quote (paraphrase more likely), “Soft and unthreatening, like the moon.”.

How does this apply to months ago, when I had started on my V/MC rampage prior to the route? Well, here’s the thing:

I had an alike theory from before the V route’s release based off of a quote used in, yes, a V/MC fanart on Amino:

“She was my sun, but you are every constellation.”

I was thinking more along the lines of MC being the stars in the night sky to correlate to the theme and all of that. But the moon? EVEN BETTER.

“And so the moon fell in love with the sun, despite the night sky’s warnings that he would kill her.”

-Yes this is an excerpt from an entire dramatic soliloquy I made dedicated to this whole theme.
