Funny thing is back when I started the WoT show I initially looked up a few things, so I was spoiled that book fans hated Egwene and the prevailing opinion was she's arrogant but not actually impressive enough power-wise to match it. Then the show gives her these big moments to make her not all talk and somehow her haters are more angry, like… Just admit you hate a confident woman.

MALE PROTAGONIST #can't see a woman who is on par with him #she's supposed to orbit him like a good female character
