According to Euromonitor’s annual Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023, Dubai is the second best and most attractive travel destination in the world & different type of tourism place in Dubai

The emirate is characterised by a highly conducive business environment, strong international travel demand, consistent infrastructure development and creative marketing campaigns, among other things.

The Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023 report by Euromonitor International compares 55 indicators in six main areas. These are: Economic and Business Performance, Tourism Performance, Tourism Infrastructure, Tourism Policy and Attractiveness, Health and Safety and Sustainability.

Vitalij Vladykin, Senior Research Manager at Euromonitor, said the emirate is widely recognised for its strong economic and business performance and Dubai one of the best tourism places.

Dubai also stands out for its exceptional performance in terms of international travel demand and is a magnet for both returning and first-time international tourists, as well as those looking for a stopover. The city actively promotes a favourable business environment and continuously invests in its tourism infrastructure, from expanding airport capacity to developing new attractions and nearest most of the tourism Place in Dubai.

“Creative marketing campaigns and a simplified visa regime further enhance the city’s appeal. Dubai is striving to improve its position in terms of sustainability. The city is actively integrating sustainable practices and goals, as evidenced by initiatives such as the ‘Year of Sustainability’ and the introduction of a ‘Sustainable Tourism’ stamp for hotels,” Vladykin said in a statement to Khaleej Times on Friday.

The global market research company expects 16.8 million international trips in 2023, an increase of 18 percent compared to the previous year, putting the emirate in third place behind Istanbul (20.2 million) and London (18.8 million). The other top cities are Antalya, Paris, Hong Kong, Bangkok, New York, Cancun and Makkah.

“Consumers are expected to look for value for money when booking travel. This in turn will drive consumer demand for travel within the region, especially as travel purchases are often discretionary. Travellers will continue to prefer authentic and local experiences as well as sustainable tourism alternatives,” said Popova.

International travel has continued its strong recovery in 2023 with a 38% growth in the number of trips because most places are one of the best tourism place in Dubai and is expected to reach 1.3 billion by the end of the year. An important milestone for the industry’s recovery in 2023 was the return of Chinese international travel following the lifting of the government quarantine. HOW NOT TO BECOME VICTIM TO UNETHICAL PRACTICES WHILE APPLYING FOR CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT?

Being into the RCBI for over 14 years, I have seen and heard enough of ethical- unethical practices related to Residency or Citizenship by Investment programs, programs that attract thousands of the entrepreneurs, business owners, senior managers/ directors, or the HNI from all around the world every year. Everyone wanted to opt the options for various reasons, be it for the total control over their investment, global mobility, expanding their business, taxation, family security, political instability in the country of their birth / current residence. One thing that is common among all is they wanted their life to be easy, and they wanted the consultants to be ethical who make their immigration process simplified.

Citizenship by Investment in the Caribbean are most sought after programs, couple a year back over 60% clientele were from China, but during last few years I have seen that 70% of the applications have been from GCC and MENA region. People have realized the importance of these programs and the demand for Residency or Citizenship by Investment programs has begun to pick up.

CAN I GET CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT WITH A SPECIAL PRICE?

No, each country that offers Citizenship by Investment (i.e. Antigua & Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis, or St. Lucia), have their approved set of investment options that are clearly mentioned on their official website, and should they offer some discount it is always published on their official websites and communicated with all the government authorized agents, they then pass this change of price or policy to promoters and or the sub agents listed with them. For example, one of the Caribbean country St. Kitts & Nevis has a limited time offer from 1st January 2023 until 30th of June 2023 that offers a discount of USD $25,000 and accelerated application process (60 days from the date of the CIU’s acknowledgement of the application) at NO ADDITIONAL COST, or another Caribbean country St. Lucia had a limited time offer of COVID-19 Relief Bond with a reduced investment option that ended 31st December 2022.

WERE THERE ANY CONTROVERSIS BETWEEN 2018 AND 2021 REGARDING THE RCBI PROGRAMS?

Yes, according to GULF NEWS and KHALEEJ TIMES the fate of hundreds of such applicants seeking Dual Citizenship or the Second Passport(s) of Caribbean nations was at stake. Media reports suggesting “allegedly” many immigration firms were avoiding legal requirements, selling innovative schemes that were never approved by the Caribbean governments or forging government documents to process citizenship applications, some of the agents were selling these Citizenship by Investment programs at a price way below government-sanctioned rates through innovation in real estate option (candidate are required to contribute/donate “a certain amount depending program of their choice or the family size” to the government, once his application gets approved the agent then requests the Citizenship by Investment unit “UNKNOWN TO THE APPLICANTS” to switch to the real estate option).

Allegations were so loud at an extent that one of the Caribbean countries parliament led to a no-confidence motion against their sitting prime minister, some of the high ranking government officials had to come into media saying the allegations of fraud were “unfounded and politically motivated” but the allegations were so strong that one of the former prime minister in one of the Caribbean nations stated “he will revoke the citizenship of any applicant who is found to have underpaid for the country’s CBI”.

ARE THERE ANY UNETHICAL FIRMS IN THE CBI INDUSTRY THAT GOT BLACKLISTED BY THE CARIBBEAN GOVERNMENTS?

Yes, people can check on the official websites to see who are authorized local agents, international marketing agents, and or the promotors. One Caribbean country “Commonwealth of Dominica” has a list published on their official website https://www.cbiu.gov.dm/dominica-citizenship/blacklisted-agents/.

IS THERE A WAY TO AVOID FRADULENT PRACTICES?

Yes, and it’s very simple. All you need is to ask the CBI firm if they are the authorized agents, promoter, and or sub agents?

Authorized agents are licensed by the Citizenship by Investment unit of the country you are looking to opt as your second citizenship / passport, they must reside in the country (i.e. Antigua & Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis, or St. Lucia), and the promoters or the sub agents may be listed with the authorized agents, promoters can be located across the world and assist in the marketing of the CBI program in their region and assist prospective applicants under the CBI program.

Also, the Caribbean Governments are now making the interviews mandatory (main applicant, spouse, and dependents 17 years of age and above), these interviews will allow an additional layer of protection to the Citizenship by Investment programs. This initiative is a positive step for Caribbean Citizenship and is a part of enhanced due diligence, interviews will be a wonderful opportunity for the applicants to meet (in-person or virtually) with the Government officials, while interviews all the questions related to special pricing, the company, or any other doubts you may have can be asked, the process will help CIU "Citizenship by Investment Unit" officials to directly address any concern they may have with regards to application, I am 100% sure that a mandatory interview will help high net-worth individuals/applicants avoid unethical firms offering a non approved investment options, it's essential to carefully research and consider the implications, costs, and legal requirements before pursuing a second citizenship, as the process and benefits can vary widely among countries.

This was revealed to us by the concert's director Sohail Khan who came down to the Khaleej Times office for a press conference to announce details of the upcoming show.

"I remember it was in Manchester, we did a great show, and something was bothering Salman. I asked him what happened. He said that a man sitting on the 16th row, on the seventh seat, is sleeping. I told him there are 16,000 people at the show, and you have come to Manchester after many years, and you should enjoy that fact. But he was concerned about that one guy who was sleeping. I was shocked that he is such a big entertainer, but he was still concerned how that one man was not getting entertained by him! And then when he went for the second act, he stopped the music and requested those around the sleeping man to wake him up. That poor man was dazzled! Once he woke up, he got so excited that he stood up on his chair and danced for the entire show! It was shocking for me to understand how superstars think so differently than us," revealed Sohail.

Sohail Khan announces the 'Da-Bangg: The Tour-Reloaded' Dubai concert at the Khaleej Times office in Al Quoz on Wednesday afternoon, alongside Suhail Abdul Latif Galadari, Director, Khaleej Times, and other concert organisers, Adil Jagmagia, Azhar Qasmi, Pragna Vaya and Jordy Patel.

After Salman Khan announced the arrival of 'Da-Bangg: The Tour-Reloaded' to Dubai on his Instagram, his fans in the UAE have been eagerly waiting for more details about the live concert featuring the biggest stars of Bollywood. After entertaining the Indian diaspora in London, Hong Kong, Auckland, Melbourne, US and Canada, the tour is finally coming to the UAE.

The galaxy of stars including superstar Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha, Prabhudeva, Daisy Shah, Guru Randhawa, and Manish Paul are all set to dazzle this March 15th at Dubai Festival City Mall, South Festival Bay for 'Da-Bangg: The Tour-Reloaded' where the stars will dance to the greatest hits from the Hindi film industry.

Go there expecting a big budget production with choreographed dance numbers, pyrotechnics, LED backdrops, aerial acts, fire show, costume changes galore and world-class cuisine. The tour is named after Salman Khan's hit film from 2010 Dabangg.

Sohail revealed that there is intense preparation that goes behind the show that features some of the biggest stars from the industry. "We have been doing this show for a long time now, and that's why it has a big following. It is a big show, and we have a lot of responsibility. Those three hours are very stressful for us. Because when it comes to movies, we can always go for retakes if something goes wrong, but over here we cannot go back in time or undo the wrong, hence we try to prepare ourselves as much as we can. There's a lot of effort that goes in for the coordination of the show. No matter how much you practice, you never know what mess might happen in those three hours. Those three hours are the most responsible hours for us.

"When you see the show, you will understand that the light and sound are of high quality. Of course, we have prominent artists, but we focus on giving an overall excellent experience. Even I get mesmerised when I see the Da-Bangg show!"

He also added that they regularly update the show with new concepts and ideas. They also ensure there is an element of local culture involved in each show. "We try to tweak the show according to the location. We keep on upgrading the show. Katrina wants to do something new for the Dubai show. There are a lot of changes for this show."

Sohail has a special request for UAE fans; he wants the audience to stay away from their mobile phones during the show. "When we were in America, and we were traveling through different states, what I noticed was that Salman Khan was right in front of people and yet they were watching him through their phone (while recording the show). I think this phone is the most stupid thing ever made! We have come all the way for the show, and people are watching him on their phone! I would request those coming for the Dubai show to enjoy the show without their phones. Yes, record it for a while for the memory but don't spend the entire time staring at the phone." According to him, one can always view portions of the show on various social media and the fans should absorb the experience of seeing the show live, "because it is a different experience altogether."

Sohail concluded: "Every actor, be it Salman or anyone else I have worked with, they have a thirst to grow as an actor. They are constantly learning. They are also very sharp."

Dubai Police is set to roll out its next collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) just months after the initial collection saw nearly 23 million people show an interest in acquiring them, a report has said. According to the report, the law enforcement agency’s second collection of NFTs will be rolled out at this year’s edition of GITEX. After the rollout of its first collection, Dubai Police reportedly became the first government entity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and one of the first in the world, to mint NFTs. Since then, the law enforcement agency claims it has received more than 7,000 messages from people interested in the tokens.

Further, in his remarks published by Khaleej Times, Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, the director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Dubai Police, said: All participants were contacted to confirm digital wallet addresses, and those who met the requirements were shortlisted in a raffle draw, of which 150 individuals won and received the Dubai Police digital assets for free. The director suggested that just like the initial NFT collection, people from outside the country will also get a chance to own Dubai Police’s next collection without paying anything.
