I never made an update post about it since I've been with Maria for vacation but.
I was denied for SSI/Disability again. Even with a walker, mental issues, physical issues, etc, I have now been denied twice.
And I thought it might happen, it's why I went to vocational rehab to help me find a job. Which they have sucked at doing. And sent me back to Worksource to try and get help. And even they have failed at finding me work I can do.
We don't have a car bc no car insurance and my mom and her bf wouldn't drive me anyways. Bus is unreliable, especially on the weekends, and I have no other way or money to get anywhere. I have to find work at home but have mental barriers via trauma that stop me from doing certain jobs like customer support.
It all truly sucks and I'm sorry that I've been basically still a leech this whole time. Even if others would say I'm not this is just how I feel. I always need help with money and bills and it's just becoming more and more.
I feel like I'm honestly at my limit. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this.
I'm sorry.

New Post has been published on https://www.dawgsinc.com/dawgs-hires-section-3-residents/
DAWGS Hires Section 3 Residents
DAWGS partners with public housing authorities to foster economic opportunities for Section 3 residents through employment opportunities and job fairs.
What is Section 3?
It is a means by which HUD fosters local economic development, neighborhood economic improvement, and individual self-sufficiency. Section 3 is the legal basis for providing jobs for residents and awarding contracts to businesses in areas receiving certain types of HUD financial assistance.
More about Section 3
DAWGS Employee Spotlight: Jaime Galeana Garcia
Section 3 Worker Jaime Galeana Garcia grew up in Acapulco, Mexico before coming to live in the United States. He currently lives at the Jordan Downs apartments, with his wife, 23 year-old daughter and 13 year-old son. Jaime is also grandfather to a 2 year-old girl, whom he loves playing and spending time with during his time off.
Throughout the years Jaime has held various jobs, including working at a bakery making pastries. It was not long ago when he attended HACLA‘s (The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles)  Job Fair, organized by our WorkSource Center (WSC). Shortly after enrolling with the WSC, he was referred for a laborer position with Door and Window Guard Systems, Inc. (DAWGS). DAWGS provides steel vacant unit security steel services to HACLA and is committed to hire a Section 3 worker. Immediately after Jaime was referred, the DAWGS team interviewed him and Jaime started work the next day.
We recently connected with Arnel Cuevas, DAWGS Los Angeles Service Center Manager, who is also Jaime’s direct manager, who said, “Jaime has been working for DAWGS for almost a year now. From the beginning, Jaime has proven that he is a fast learner and takes pride in completing all assignments at the highest quality of work. On days where we have no field work, he manages to find himself busy in the shop, cleaning, painting, and fixing equipment without being told to do so. He is hardworking, honest and sincere in his work, and it makes a difference not only for himself, but also for others around him. We at DAWGS are very grateful and privileged to have Jaime on our team!”
Jaime is also very grateful for this opportunity, so is his family. “I learned so much during this last year and even have had the opportunity to travel for work to Utah, Nevada and Arizona.” says Jaime, adding that he enjoys his work and that it has given their family financial stability, and provided him with professional growth and personal development. Both Jaime and his wife see a positive change in their family dynamics. “I have to work hard and be able to provide for my family,” says
A Win Win for All
Section 3 residents receive long term employment with DAWGS. Housing authorities contract DAWGS to secure their vacant properties. DAWGS supports housing authorities’ Section 3 resident employment initiatives through job fairs and employment.

also like, if you're in the States, your nearest municipality probably has a Worksource center or equivalent, and they will do things like review your resume for free as well as provide free workshops about jobseeking techniques, many of which are virtual! There are also a lot of online resources including job boards, information about specific career fields (including average pay rates in your area!!! never be blindsided by that question again!), tools for calculating how much you need to make to account for all your expenses, and more. I cannot recommend it enough if you're unemployed or even just looking to switch jobs. you're paying the taxes, so use the services they fund!

bro unemployment has been denying me but only bc they don't have info on me working for Doordash and I've been trying to give it to them but I've had this claim active for months, so when I finally get the energy to go into the actual worksource building and fix their mistake, they're gonna pay me out so fat.

Possible Abduction, Quick Thinking.
This happened back in 2013 in Seattle on Rainier Avenue. That year, I was trying to meet my mom right in front of the Rainier Worksource office. Couldn’t go to her home, her husband due to his illness hated me so I wasn’t welcome to come over. Mom & I had to meet in public places. While I was waiting for mom at our appointed time, we were going to go & check out an apartment for me, she was…
