Sana Youssef Noora
Okay, after a night of turbulent sleep (you would think I was Sana with how much this episode haunts me)
YOUSSEF:
I truly don't know what to think about the guy at the moment, to be honest, I love his characterization up until before that freaking awful clip.Like many have pointed out his actions and mannerisms were so off and out of character, but then again we only see him from Sana’s pov and she has deep feelings for him so maybe our view of him is her “romanticized” version of him so maybe our previous pretence of perfectness around him is that we were looking trough Sana’s heart eyes. However, and in the case that he is as good of a guy that she believes he is (this supported by Elias supporting her in her crush on Youssef), i can’t wrap my head around what would get him to react like he did (leaving her alone to break the fight, kissing Noora, No usual heart eyes). The fight, I can’t see any way to explain him not being out there and or at least following Sana if not for her sake, just to make sure his friends were okay.
Now for the kiss, because that’s the part that was a direct blow from Youssef. I saw a lot of metas that try to find a reason other then Youssef being a fuckboy that is. I personally don't wanna believe that, because I'm an optimist and I refuse to accept that Sana and Elias were is some way both fooled into thinking he was a good guy. That being said I also don't see anything that would excuse his actions, like I understand people saying that he doesn't owe Sana anything they are not dating etc, but he did flirt with her and he was the one to seek her out and start every interaction between them, so him kissing Noora is a treason there is no way to sugar quote it. Because even if he thought she only unfriended him this week ( wich can make him believe that even after last Friday’s deep discussion she decided to cut him out of her life), and he is understandably hurt you don't get over a girl you like, even if she doesn't (allegedly) like you back, by making out with her best friend. It doesn't make sense, it’s childish and immature and I realy thought that Youssef was above this childish behavior.
So in conclusion, I'm open to hearing whatever he has to say because by nature I refuse to believe that people are fundamentally bad and or mal-intentioned, and I'm waiting to see if the justification is good enough. That being said while my heart is all I hope Yousana can be fixed and continue being the cutest my brain is in defense mode, protect Sana above all else and she doesn't need to face heartbreak and suffering, and I'm going to go to war for her.
NOORA:
First of all, I always liked Noora ( a little less since season 2, but i still like her a lot) and she always has been an attentive and observant friend previously. She is hurt about William dating someone new and in general her chaotic love or lack thereof of a love life.
Her lashing out at Sana can be understood to a very small degree im bitter about it because Sana was trying to protect her and find her a way to move on, she would be justified in being angry if Sana was actually encouraging her to still have feelings for William.
Now the kiss, people have been defending Noora by saying that she didn't know Sana’s feelings and she just kissed the nearest guy that she liked to get over the hurt of William etc. and they enforce this argument by saying that she didn't know about how Sana felt about Youssef.
However, previous seasons established that Noora is an observant supportive friend, so i find it really heard to believe that she didn't pick up on Sana’s reaction each time she mentions Youssef. And if she did pick up on it then it’s even worse because she willingly hurt her friend because she was upset at her for trying to shield her from hurt.
So for me, either way, Noora is at fault, because if she didn’t know about Sana’s crush that only means that she was a bad friend and only considered Sana as her supportive robot ( a bMax even if bmax has feelings to) and not a person with feeling and a life. The second possibility is, and it pains me to write it, that she knew and willingly kissed him to get back at Sana for trying to protect her by not telling her the truth, Which makes Noora a HORRIBLE AND DESPICABLE person.
CONCLUSION:
So Yousef and Noora are in the wrong, but they aren’t villains, just humans.
i just wanted to end by saying that all of these characters while fictional are still human beings, and they are allowed to make mistakes. This post was just me trying to make sense of everything. So sorry if anyone gets offended or hurt by it . And i’m open to any contradicting theories that make sense.
