By request, I’m sharing another “Ask Jessica” (not Google) 🤣. So in the workplace we collaborate with a number of people with different personality traits. I was asked yesterday, “how do you deal with passive aggressive work colleagues”? The answer: You can’t, sorry. Just kidding. While it can be tough to work with someone that is very passive aggressive in their communication or actions, I’m sharing my thoughts here on how to manage. ✨First you absolutely should not lose your cool or accuse them of being passive aggressive, often times this will back fire on you. ✨Instead keep things very work focused and when talking with them focus on the specific message you’re hearing for them (avoid getting side tracked by how the person delivers their message) ✨Then you can confirm what you’re hearing and let them know you’re trying to understand where they are coming from. Remind them of the goals you not have and why you’re working together in the first place. ✨Gain allies that can relate to the situation and who understands the persons passive-aggressive behaviors and partner with them to help in getting to a resolution. As you interact with them, keep things work focused, don’t take their behavior personally and keep good allies that you can vent to and get support to mediate. Hope this helps!! I am the Worst Blogger

Hello Everyone, 

I am so sorry that I seem to just disappear I am like the worst at trying to set up a habit. I guess I am still adjusting to a new job. But I am so glad to be in a new job but its taking alot out of me meeting all the new people. I am pretty introverted it takes alot of energy to talk to my supervisor because I do not know them well, and it takes a few weeks for me to get super comfortable with someone and for them not to suck energy from me. This new job though will be interesting. I am working for a private company that works with families on helping them have visits with there kids and works reuniting families. I never thought I would end up in this field. I got my degree in History and political science and actually had a government  job set up but due to COVID. The company is not hiring at this time. So I had to float around jobs till I got this job. Which I think is good. Those who are into politics and history and got degrees in it, we wish to become politicians but I sense that if I ever get that time of opportunity to aspire more in that direction. Then maybe my experience working with broken homes and reunification of families will give me a different prescriptive then most. 

P.S. What was your dream job? If you went to college what did you study and are you in your field? Or did you not but worked yourself up in a company or job opportunity?

I am fortunate that i can work from home and carry on my business from my comfort zone and have my family with whom i can spend time with. I am also fortunate that i can take care of my health and yet take care of my income I am indeed lucky that i have a team of entrepreneurs who think like me and we work with a common mission , vision An entrepreneur’s life is a roller coaster ride with adventure in every step but it’s worth taking the ride.I am looking for would be entrepreneur’s who like to collaborate and work together and are teachable. So i work in a restaurant atmosphere

And i know everyone that does knows the struggle. I am sitting at a bar restaurant minding my own business (lol) and i overhear a server and the bartender talking about a very, um, opinionated table of people. They were straight up firing eachother up about something as simple as side salads. Biiiitch we all have a story but for me, this is theirs 👍👍👍

This meme made me LOL hard. One of the benefits of being a freelancer is that, to some extent, you can pick and choose who you work with. And who you have to sit in meetings with. I had a crazy busy week last week. Worked with some easy, wonderful clients. Worked with some that were more difficult. When I’m listening to someone talk, and they have no idea what they’re talking about but think they do, I just keep telling myself—in my head— that I am getting paid by the hour.
