Above: Crochet WIP!

I did my goals a few days ago but then I didn't do my diary that night. Then I didn't do anything for a few days but today I am working on getting back on the wagon.

Art: I worked on the crochet project above. This will eventually be a hat for my husband. I am using the "Common People Hat" pattern from "Martin up north." It felt so good to get into an art project again, and I realized that I really need to be focusing on the 3 things I do for self care: walking, art, and language study. I also spent some time talking to someone I know about using recycled junk mail and cardboard for crafts and I feel really energized to work on something using paper mache in the near future. I also need to get some more yarn for this hat project in the near future because I started this with just some random yarn I had--and it turns out I have no where near enough.

Walking: First thing this morning I took my dogs on a short walk. This was the first walk I've taken in about a month--I've just been stressed out due to my promotion and so my husband has taken them alone. This was a great way to start out my day tho, and I need to be going more often, maybe at least 5 days a week. I would like to gradually increase the duration of the walks but for this week, I am just looking to walk any amount at all.

Language Study: Quick note about the previous language study goal. I did successfully complete my goal of using Clozemaster on my lunch break, but I didn't realize how restrictive the free version is. It used to be, I paid for Clozemaster but I wanted to use it less so I switched to free. I think I will end up using it not at all tho, because 30 flash cards in a day isn't very much. I am thinking I need to figure out how to set up a set of cloze cards on anki, or possibly find an already existing set of such cards.

What I did for study today is I spent about 25 minutes reading Chihayafuru Vol 3. I read about 15 pages, which was a little disappointing to me. I was progressing pretty well but then I hit a few pages where I was having to look up at least a word on every page.

Cooking: Made a tenderloin with potatoes from scratch. I think this dish was a little too complicated for my stomach because I got sick.

Reading: Started reading the introduction of "So Beowulf" because my husband didn't have time to do more "Bro Beowulf" with me. Meanwhile, I am convincing a bunch of my friends to read "Bro Beowulf" mainly by reading the first page to them.

Goals for tomorrow:

-Get my flu vaccine. I am required to do this and I forgot... I may actually be in trouble at work as a result.

-Keep reading, cooking, and walking

-Devise some method of studying Japanese Pitch Accent, perhaps also look into Japanese cloze cards on Anki

-For art: research paper mache, see how viable it is for me to do it, possibly start preparing junk paper to be turned into artwork.

a/n: deep down, once you get past the overwhelming anxiety involving affection, all I really want to do is hug people

∫ summary: you love hugging. a lot. how would the bakusquad react?

Bakugou Katsuki:

Sitting in the common room with the others Bakugou was grumpy

All he wanted to do was go to his room and not talk to anybody for the rest of the day; well, the only exception being you

But he couldn’t just single you out from the rest of the losers he hangs out with

That would make it too obvious that he feels a little different towards you than he does them

It’s definitely not a crush though

Yeah sure whatever you say

So he just is forced to sit through another insufferable game that the others are playing because he’s hoping to at least see you before he high tails it to his room for the rest of the day

They forced him to play a round of Mario Kart but after he almost breaks the tv they decide it’s best to let him just spectate

Except he’s on his phone so he’s not paying attention

Which is precisely why he didn’t see you enter the room until he heard Mina squeal as you plopped down on her lap

“Hey! you know I love your hugs but I’m on my last lap. Go sit on Bakugou! He won’t mind”

“Like hell I won’t!”

He wouldn’t

But he had to keep up the facade

That didn’t last for long though

You shuffled your way over to him, standing and pouting slightly waiting for him to consent

Good god that cute face is going to be the death of him

Sighing, he just uncrossed his arms and opened them slightly

You brightened up at the invitation, not actually have expected for him to do it

Without waiting for him to take the offer back you climbed into his lap, wrapping your legs and arms around him

Stiffly put his arms around you

After a minute he relaxes a little, running his hand down your back once before securing it around your waist

You sigh into his neck

“Thank you”

He just grunts in return

Doesn’t want to admit it but he likes it more than he thought he would

Won’t want you to do it in public again though

He never heard the end of the squad’s teasing

Kirishima Eijiro:

Loves it

Though it does catch him off guard

Especially when you do it in public

So he was out with you and his friends

And they were currently getting food and left you two alone together

Definitely on purpose on Mina’s part

You were playing on your phone next to him while he was just admiring you with a big smile on his face

How were you so cute??

He felt so lucky to be able to know you, even if you weren’t dating yet

Totally didn’t notice that you noticed that he was staring at you

You took the opportunity to put your phone aside and turn to him

Blushes when he realized he was caught

“Can I hug you?”

The questions takes him off guard for a moment

“Hug me?”

You nod enthusiastically

His heart melts at your smile

Once he shakes out of his stupor, he grins brightly

“Of course!”

Within a second you were hugging

It was a little awkward with you both sitting but you made it work

His arms loosely wrapped around your waist as your arms did the same

His head rested on top of yours

It was a sweet hug

Not too tight or too loose

You were both so caught up in your own little blissful worlds that you didn’t even realize when the others showed back up

“AWWW! Man, they’re so cute!”

You both sprang apart, cheeks hot with embarrassment

“Kaminari! You scared them!”

“Sorry dude”

Kiri sighs before smiling softly at you

Maybe next time he can hold you for a little longer

Kaminari Denki:

You were worried about a test that was due to take place the following day

Mina assured you that you would do fine but you were still worried

Kaminari jumped in to support, telling you that as long as you did better than him, you would be fine

This caused you to uno reverse and start saying supportive things back to him

It became a competition on who could be more enthusiastic about the test

You both did a review together that night, seeing as you convinced him to do a last minute study session in preparation

Later on the next day you were waiting for the results from the test that you took, head swimming with anticipation

When you finally got your grade back your eyes widened and you looked at Kaminari, who was already looking at you with the same expression

“We passed!!!”

Next thing he knew, a weight slammed into him

kaminari.exe has stopped functioning

Did his crush, whom he is always trying to get attention from, just hug him???

Is this real??

All thoughts of the test flew out of his mind as he blanked

It took him almost a solid minute to realize that his arms had wrapped around you subconsciously and that you were rambling about how well he did

He snapped out of his stupor and squeezed you tightly

“You did really well too! Don’t give me all the credit.”

Tries to act nonchalant but fails miserably

His face is red but he's smiling goofily

When you pull away he already is counting down the minutes until you hug him again

Mina Ashido:

Yes yes yes

She loves affection, so when you are even slightly affectionate she wants to combust

You both were in her room doing your homework together so you could watch a movie after you were finished

She was already itching to wrap you in a hug but she wanted to at least finish some of her homework beforehand

Since you told her that she couldn’t hug you until she did

Pouting but trying her best

Once she got five questions right without a mistake you pulled her into a quick hug

Now she was really craving a cuddle

It felt like she had a mountain of work left but she pushed on as best as she could, thoughts of cuddling for the rest of the night kept her energized

Finally, finally she finished her work and was practically dragging you to her bed for snuggles

You barely got the movie turned on before she wrapped every possible limb around you, head buried in your chest

Can’t believe that she was able to make it that long without affection tbh

So dramatic

Granted, you were also surprised you could suppress it too

Considering Mina is great at hugs

They’re quite addicting

Alas, I digress

Seeing as you couldn’t move very well, you couldn’t return the love that you were receiving

“Uhh Mina?”

She hummed happily against your chest

“I want to cuddle you too”

“Huh?”

She realized the position that you were in

“Oh! Whoops”

Releasing her hold on you slightly, she moved a little to the side to make it more comfortable for you to wrap your arms around her, burying your face in her hair

She couldn’t be any more happy than this

Well, she would be if she could give you kisses too

But she’ll have to save that for later ;)

Sero Hanta:

Happy baby

But also a little shy (just a little tho)

It was break time between classes and he was standing in the hallway next to the vending machine, talking to his friends

There was only a couple minutes left before he had to get back to class but he was making the most of it

It had been a pretty chill week for everyone, all things considering

No villains, no tests

Just normal school stuff plus hero training

Everyone was quite relieved about that

The only thing is Sero hasn’t seen you in a while

Usually you hang out with Mina so, in extension, the rest of the squad as well

But you’ve been gone the last week on a trip with your relatives

You got back two days before but he only saw you in class since you had to do extra stuff to make up work

It seems that you finally got a break, though

He felt arms wind around his waist, a body pressing close to his side

Startled, he looks at the person only to recognize them immediately

You tucked yourself against him, face pressed into his neck

He could physically feel the tension leaving your body as you relaxed against him

Smiling, he wound an arm around your waist, pulling you a little in front of him before wrapping his other arm around you

“How was your week?”

You groaned

“Don’t get me started”

He chuckled lightly before going back to the conversation he was having, rubbing your back softly

Kirishima didn’t say anything, just smiled and continued talking to Sero

Kaminari wiggled his eyebrows at his friend, who, if you squinted close enough, had a faint blush on his cheeks

So maybe he was a little flustered at the sudden PDA

But he cherished every moment with you

So he didn’t mind

He only hoped he could work up the courage to properly ask you out sometime in the future

Omg you MEMORISE THEM TOO? Woah😭 I think the only poem we ever memorised was our national anthem in primary school- But it at least gave you more depth for Blue Bamboo so that’s awesome hehe😌 And that sounds so hard omg😭 But I find that it’s so useful for the brain and comprehension skills too which also sounds awesome :o

And I really enjoy learning about them, yes🥺 When we do them in class, first they let us alone with the original poem, and of course we don’t understand anything because if the poem contains, let’s say, 200 words, only 20-25 of them are still in use today. In fact, there was a certain point in the history where we started to use so so many words from two other languages (not telling them explicitly because that’d probably publicly reveal a lot about mine🥲but anyone who knows a bit about this certain literature has already understood it so RIP) because the poets thought those words would serve better to express what they wanted to express, and the mixture of these 3 languages formed the literature language in the country for a long time. We’re talking about roughly from the 11th to the 19th century, by the way. But in the 20th century, a movement started and its main goal was to eliminate the influence of the foreign languages on our literature, they defended that we should be creating our works with our modern language (which I pretty much agree with).

So now, when we look at a poem from for example 17th century, we don’t understand it not only because it’s written in old language but also because it’s not even in our language. But when the teachers give us the translation, it allows me to see how they perceived the world, the human emotions, and it kind of makes me feel a beautiful connection with my country in those centuries, I guess? The awareness that it’s my culture is so attractive for me as well. When I read things from other cultures, sure I like them objectively very much, but here, subjective emotions come into play too, I suppose? It makes me feel closer to it even when I don’t understand a word in it. I always feel like emotions were purer back then. And when I have a version of it which I understand, it makes me rejoice so much. So I may say that it kind of creates the connection between us, the ‘modern’ individuals and the ‘historical’ culture/people. I really hope this all makes sense haha, this turned out so long omg I’m so sorry😖

And yes!! I’m pretty fluent in it, and I really enjoy learning it so, SO much omg it could be my favourite language to learn or talk or write in. I’m literally so passionate about everything about it (why are we like this in everything we do I swear-). And oh you studied it too?? That’s awesome!!🥰 We could try talking in it some time if you’d like👀

And aaaaahhh French literature is AWESOME you should definitely give it a try. It’s definitely among my favourites, if not the favourite. I recently read La Bête Humaine (The Beast Within? The Human Beast?? I still don’t know how it was published in English) from Émile Zola and I was shook oh god, it was so raw, so wild… and I found it really beautiful, I’m honestly slowly falling in love with the naturalism movement. I really recommend Flaubert too, he’s really a master of realism, I love him so much. Hugo, if you’re into romanticism (which I’m.. pretty much not😭) And there’s Molière, the comedy master, I’m honestly HEAD OVER HEELS in love with his witty humour; and in terms of philosophy there’s Rousseau, Descartes, Beauvoir; AND OH THE POEMS Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine AAAAAA THE LIST COULD GO ON FOR HOURS- I- I CAN’T😩😩😩

And French classical music/art movements is a WHOLE other topic that I won’t even get into, or this ask will become a novel.

Anyways🤭 Oh I see! That’s really interesting, maybe🤔 I also heard that it was so beautiful, I’m looking forward to reading it some time😌

This is long overdue and this ask has been sitting in my ask box for a while, my apologies. And please that picture, I'm sorry I can't help but burst out laughing when I see it hahaha. And to be in the face of such a genius such as Mozart, I would be shy too honestly😳

And yes omg, I appreciate her so much T^T. My friend has been busy though it seems, she's been busy with courses, I miss her😭. And yes ahh I did warn her no worries, I warn her everytime she talks about it😳 I think she gets the point by now haha

And ahh that's actually pretty cool! But that also sounds so complicated at the same time. I can't even begin to imagine having 3 languages integrated into a single type of literature. And only that little of the words can actually be understood? I- wow😳 And yeah, I can totally understand the movement and its intentions, and honestly, I agree with it too, even though I have a very limited understanding of this topic.

And that must feel really weird :0 to know that it is from your culture but to have languages that you don't understand in it. And don't worry, I get what you mean! It's like you're able to communicate with the people of the past as they bring you messages and lessons that they learnt! T^T and it's honestly kind of a treasure honestly.

From what I know the old Chinese language changed to the current one during the May Fourth Movement (Also known as the New Cultural Movement), I believe. Of course, the May Fourth Movement included more than just the change of the languages, but that might be one of its biggest accomplishments. So during that time, the modern Chinese language is already used in speaking and writing as well during that time, but it was not the language used to officially spread ideas during that time. The May Fourth Movement one about moving away from traditional ideas and intellectual thoughts, such as Confucianism. Don't take my word for it, but from what I remember that I have learnt, I think that they wanted to do so because they (the students of the time) believe that it was such ideas that lead to China's downfall after the first world war in the Paris Peace Conference in which it wasn't able to claim some of its original lands back (the land is the Shandong region, which was given to Japan instead); and before that as well in which it suffered much humiliation from the weak Qing (or in English would sometimes be written as Ch'ing) government. And so, this movement kind of promoted the use of vernacular language in writing rather than using what we call "bahuai". This made the written language much easier to understand.

Sorry, I just went on rambling and gave you a history lesson there😅 At first I was going to talk about it briefly only because of... but all well, I guess my history-loving side came out haha

And honestly, I find that so amazing:") And well yeah, I only know very little French, unfortunately... I was learning it when the pandemic hit and I couldn't have any more lessons sadly...

And please, your passion for French literature is making me want to read them too ahh. There are just so many books I want to read gshsjs. And Rousseau, of course, I know him from studying the French Revolution period before haha, along with Voltaire and Montesquieu. Well I know of them, but I'm not very familiar with their ideas though unfortunately :")

And please don't worry Req haha, your passion is very energizing and it makes me really excited to talk about such things too. I enjoy it very much <3

Oh and before we were talking about I am A Cat, I actually found it in the bookstore in Chinese, and I read the description of it briefly and it talks about a story written from the cat's pov which is quite cool!

Congrats again!!!! This game is so much fun! We talk quite often about random stuff lol, mainly sending supportive memes back and forth! I’m really glad to have befriended you!! You’re wonderful and being a smile to my face every time I see you in my dash or in my notifs, I’m happy others have found your work and see how great you are!

1. jjk male matchup please! Or Haikyuu if you can’t find anyone in jjk that would work with me but only one matchup!

2. Strengths youre making me talk nicely about myself gross I’m hella supportive of others goals and am willing to do what it takes to help them succeed, I can handle emergency situations without panicking (this has honestly come in handy so many times), I’m very flexible when things/life/situations need to be changed. My most used phrase lately is “we’ll make it work” weaknesses I get distracted easily and have trouble focusing. I can be overly sensitive. Im bad about replying to messages in a timely manner without forgetting about them.

3. I spend my days taking care of others. I try to make time 3-4 times a week to lift weights. I spend my evenings reading.

4. 3 things you want in a relationship ~commitment to me and our future, I can’t handle wishy washy feelings ~fun and laughter! ~open good communication. being able to talk about everything is so so so important. 3 things I want in a s/o ~good sense of humor ~good communicator or is at least willing to work on improving communication in between us ~loyalty. I feel like I just said the same things twice? So I’ll add one, must be okay with me getting a pet snake!

5. I collect stickers and pins. I like to crochet, but am not very good. I love trying new recipes. I’m currently looking for a good conchas recipe, but am worried they just won’t be the same. I love the summer and dislike snow.

6. Gojo, yeah yeah he’s hot and I can see us being friends, but I don’t think I could ever have a relationship with him. Also, Tsukishima if you go with hq. He would say something salty, I would be hurt easily and cry. Then I would be petty and try and hurt him. It would be a shit show.

I have been on this ship ever since I read your ask okay! I JUST NEED YOU TO BE WITH SOMEONE WHO VALUES YOU AND KNOWS HOW TO TREAT YOU!

I 100% think you would bring out the soft side in Nanami, you’ll make him uncover new goals outside of merely surviving. At first, he definitely would be stuck in his usual mindset but what the gorgeous man did not realize is that love can change everything ;-;

Now, I should say that whenever Nanami is not on a mission or busy with his usual work, he is trying to spend as much time as possible with you! Sometimes that means surprising you when you’re at the gym. You’ll be so concentrated on your weights that you won’t notice him arrive, but when you do notice him, you’ll feel more energized because of his presence! Honestly, I can’t say that Nanami is there to work on his own body – mostly he’s there just to steal glances of you because you’re SO DAMN CUTE WHEN CONCENTRATING. Not that he’ll ever admit that tho 😉

Being able to handle emergency situations without panicking is a MUST for someone dating a jujutsu sorcerer! So your “we’ll make it work” personality is going to be perfect whenever unexpected events occur. He’s going to need someone as emotionally strong as you by his side, because let’s be honest, Nanami is not weak hearted. He needs a partner, not a liability. And thankfully you are that! Someone he can rely on and someone he loves!And I know you may be saying, but I can be overly sensitive – that is 100% fine. It’s something he will get used to, and tending to your emotional needs is something he places a focus on. Just not when the world is exploding, ya get my drift?

Your relationship with Nanami would be mostly steady, since you’re both very open about your feelings and obligations. Whenever you’re upset, his goal is to sooth you, and not pry. He knows you’ll open up to him when you’re ready. That being said, he would not leave you alone in times like this. He’d probably whip up some calming tea or beverage and then rub circles against your hand to remind you silently he isn’t going anywhere!

As a side note - special events/days? He will be there by your side - work can wait!

Imma be honest, when you first tell him that you want a pet snake, he’ll flat out say “no” but when he realizes how important this is to you… he’ll sigh and give in. who is he to keep you from your happiness??

Even if you’re not the best at crochet, if you made him something, this man WOULD SEE ERROR SIGNS. Because HELLO??? You made him something?? He would 100% wear it, especially if it’s a scarf. And if Gojo even thinks of making a remark HE WILL P A Y

What he loves is that you’re someone who takes care of others, and so while you take care of others, he makes it his goal to take care of you! Especially if you get sick, he will take care of everything. And since he’s actually a reliable partner, you’re able to sleep well knowing everything will not turn to shit.

The only thing is… the good sense of humour, it will take him time to loosen up. Pls be patient. Your personality will rub off on him! BUT until then, you can take some relief in the small smiles he gives you whenever something funny happens.

Small drabble

“What are you holding?” Pressing your lips together, you analyzed the large basket within his grasp. A variety of holiday themed items could be seen through the transparent wrapping that was secured around it. The sight brought your eyebrows to raise questiongly at your partner, as you fought off the smile pushing to reach your lips.

“Do you not like it?” The question was posed in a hesitant manner. It was clear he was now internally re-evaluating his decision. Yuji had selected this particular basket with him at the store, and guaranteed that you would like it. Nanami’s only goal was to provide you with a pleasant surprise - did he really screw up that badly?

“I love it.” You were quick to notice his troubled state, and in order to eliminate his concerns, you proceeded closer to him before pressing a kiss of gratitude against his cheek. The blonde male nodded in response, but there was no hiding his satisfaction with your answer.

Mission accomplished.

“I’ll go put it on the table. It can be our centerpiece!” After accepting the gift basket, you took a step away from him, while smiling down at the bright bow attached to the plastic. But before you could leave, Nanami snuck an arm around your waist, tugging you back towards him. In the spirit of being spontaneous, he pressed a kiss against your head, prior to sighing out “I love you” softly.

For you, he would do anything. Even trying his hand at “romantic” gestures.

Quick first thoughts on the first ep of the Hypmic Anime. Spoilers beware (and im writing this as I watch so :p)

Otome’s speech is.... questionable from a persuasive point of view. Manga did a great job of introducing her (which you can read here) but they really cut out the more terrifying parts of her speech and how she uses force to show people that she's not to be messed with

Its cool seeing everyone in their respective environments though. thats cool. Though they could have added Sasara and Kuuko (shhh i know why they didn’t let me dream)

I love how poppy the typography is. Its amazing how the visuals just leap out at you. The OP does a great job of this. The first few seconds before the title really gives me Persona 4 OG OP vibes with the influx of information given. The rest is a clear concise and streamlined way that still gives character. Animation is sparse but still carries across a general idea of each character and shows off each character object. Rendering is really nice and pays a bit of homage to the posing artwork thats done for the MVs. They also do their division hand signals and thats cute

Love how the OP has blatant HifuDoppo and DRB matchup foreshadowing

so far I really like what theyre going for. BB is about brotherly familial bonds and they show the goods and the bads. Jiro and Saburo bickering right out the gate really cements the fact that they get along like cats and dogs but you can still see that they love each other, working together when the situation calls for it

Now the 3d models. Theyre... not great but usable if you don’t look too hard. They serve their purpose and don’t actively detract from the viewing experience.

Visual typography in the rap itself are fun and poppy but they dont.... speak to me? like theyre there yes and I appreciate them but the only ones that got me excited were from Ichiro’s rap

I take my words back the group portion was kickass and I apologize

I love how they interpret the Hypnosis Speakers though. Esp. Saburo’s organs. That was super creative and I love it! If there was one thing that I felt was missing from the franchise was a deeper exploration of the speakers but the anime puts a new and fresh spin on it! Love it, especially with their attack patterns!

If the production team ever feels inclined to, Id love to see those info sheets on Otome’s desk released. There seems to be very interesting info and stats written out about each member (like capabilities, personal status etc.) They all seem unique too so I really really really hope they release images of those sheets

OOOOOOOOKAY MTC. I have such a big biased for them so Im very torn to see what unfolds

Rio striking out on his own is interesting. Out of everyone in MTC hes the biggest team player yet here he trusts his teammates to go ahead. This either displays Rio’s willingness to trust his teammates or it becomes very OOC if the anime wants to set him up as a lone wolf like character

I love how they specify its a drug deal. It means that Jyuto surely will show up and it also shows that Samatoki knows Jyuto’s motives and willingly gives black market info that he knows aligns with Jyuto’s goal. Thats A+ detail writing there and a great establishing characteristic for both of them

OOohhhhhhhhhhhhh man Asunama-san’s voice acting is god tier his work as Samatoki is phenomenal. He pulls of Samatoki’s threatening voice so well with those almost calm words before his voice becomes loud and confrontational. Those rolling syllables in contrast to Komada-san’s almost lyrical and airy speech and Kamio-san’s strict and enunciated words is such a delight to hear. It just speaks to how amazing and great these Seiyuu’s are in order to pull of such amazing work

Im so biased but MTC has such a better rap than BB im so sorry. Just by watching Samatoki’s part, the imagery is amazing. Even the arrival of his Hypnosis Speaker was awesome and sent a shiver down my spine. using the lyrics to form blades and blood was such a great thing to do. Theres so much more variety that just him standing there and shots of his hypnosis speaker. The old fashioned vignette shots, the four panel spread, the nods to old Kurosawa era films are great and I love these small details. Even the typography looks better.

Again, the interpretations with the speakers is fresh and new. Its great and I love the different imagery and attack patterns. Each one is so unique but carries across each different style of rap.

The 3d modles aren’t any better tho lol

(Hi this is Astro who is reading over their assessment again and making a note. Yeah I’m a bit harsh on BB’s rap. I’m not going to change it since I still stand by it and this post is supposed to be a documentation of my first impressions. I think one of the reasons why I’m so harsh on BB is because of their dynamic as a trio of brothers. They Have to have a more uniform approach than the other divisions. Which in of itself isn’t a terrible thing, it just doesn’t catch my eye as much as MTC did. Thats all! I definitely don’t hate BB, they’re maybe my 3rd favorite division out of the current lineup [not including TDD era teams like Kujaku Posse, MCD, and Naughty Busters] its just that their rap was pretty meh)

Samatoki crouching like a real gangstar and the cigarette kiss killed me

sadjkhfjkasdghsadjkcsdjhsdfsjhf im dying i love these trio of dumbasses so uch oh y fod someone save me aaaaaaaa (Astro note here! yeah i died when the jyuto and samatoki’s stomach growled im weak please. Samatoki’s face is just so precious and funny I might set it as a profile pic somewhere)

But also my initial assessment of Rio possibly being characterized as a lone wolf is very much jossed and im very thankful for that. It seems that Rio was simply trusting his teammates to carry out their part of the plan while he carried out his own. I like that, it really shows how much of a team these three are and that they genuinely trust each other. He’s also comfortable enough around them to invite them to dinners after work casually and not just for special occasions.

Oooh! we get Ramuda on his design process which is really cute. the inside of his studio is super cute and retro and i love it. the poppy old music you would hear in a cafe or 90′s resturaunt is also really cute (astro note: yeah i know that in ARB you see the interior of Ramuda’s office but its kinda different seeing it animated)

the translation i have has gentaro speaking in early modern english (Shakespearian english for those who aren’t english nerds like me) but from what I can hear, he doesn’t speak in a particularly old fashioned way? Its more formal than old? and hes speaking without any of his character persona lying thing that he likes to do (as he refers to himself as “Shousei” throughout the segment where hes in Ramuda’s office which is kind of his default pronoun of choice). so its kinda odd for the translation to go in that direction but im not complaining

Gendice banter is gold but it feels... flat? a little? it doesn’t have the same impact as in the drama cds or in the manga? i feel? Also Ramuda using gratuitous english is??? idk how to feel about that

kjshf thats against the rules Ramuda omgggg,,,,,,,, (astro note again: while watching i was under the assumption that using your hypmic for monetary gain such a as buskering [which is what FP is doing] is against the rules. May not be the case but whatever)

FP’s rap might be my favorite in terms of tune and lyrics though. It’s a nice laid back bop and really gives of chill vibes. the integration of 3d and 2d is really nice and i love how they play off each other in the rap. The wordplay is so fun with little nods here and there and the beat is poppy too so it really energizes me.

Ramuda’s rap concerns me slightly since he makes very subtle and small nods towards his past (being created in a laboratory, warfare, and his overall very unpleasant life experiences) but spins it into something cutesy. It could be a coping mechanism, it could be me overthinking it. But it does make me worry a bit. Gentaro and Dice’s rap really play off each other with Gentaro sticking to stories and Dice taking up the baton by carrying on that same imagery but putting his own spin on it.

the self awareness of how scattered they are as a team is interesting though. It doesn’t seem like something you’d speak about in a rap? but i guess since its not really a do or die situation they can afford to be looser on things like this.

Right off the bat, i don’t like how they handled Hifumi and Doppo in relation to Hifumi’s fear of women. Slug made a post once talking about this and I echo many of his sentiments. Hypmic has never been very tactful about tackling this particular issue and while I didn’t have high hopes that the anime would be any better it hurts to see Doppo take away the one thing that allows Hifumi to function within society.

Doppo’s breakdown mirrors a lot of my own mental state when I spiral though its shown a lot quicker than what happens to me oof. that hits close to home. though Jakurai’s advice is. Questionable. Its not the best advice to give to someone but we have no idea what kind of doctor Jakurai is so ill let it slide

Jakurai’s pose looks like hes going to do a mahou shoujou transformation lmao

I don’t have many thoughts about the rap though again. How they visualize the rap is interesting. the different imagery is quite interesting for each of them and the typography is nice a distinct but im still on the fence about the visuals here

The sound is in the same boat. The sound effects either drown out the rap or are too quet but some parts are nice at least. When they talk about Tokyo’s beating heart, the heartbeat sound is a but distracting especially since its only played once. But the imagery is at least nice

I wonder if for the eds they’re going to take a similar approach to what Enstars did and have a four different endings, one for each division. I love the blend of styles here and it really accentuates that although they’re different they mesh well together.

Ramuda’s silhouette though is hilarious. Love it.

:p and thats it. Uh not bad for a first episode. Established all 12 characters really nicely and their dynamics. I had some problems with it but then again nothing is perfect. I look forward to what they show us next week

🌻 Random Headcanons pt 2🌻

[ Ivan x Mel ]

x Mel makes its her job to correctly pronounce people’s names how they are pronounced in their language. Alfred thinks she’s doing too much and she tells him that he is jealous he has a basic old english white man name. Ivan finds it alluring and does his best to say her name how it’s pronounced in Greek. She tells him there is no need but really she enjoys it. This also starts Mel correcting others when they say Ivan’s human name in public.

x Mel only addresses the countries by their human names unless they get under her skin then she calls them by their whole name. I mean official government name, Republic (United ) and all. She might even get fancy and say it in their language so they will know she’s serious.

x With the assistants being around the countries interact a lot more than they normally do. A lot more hanging out outside of work, stronger friendships, Canada had the biggest impact with everyone in the meeting knowing who he was because his assistant is very much a hot head and will cuss you out if you call him anything other than Canada.

x Ivan didn’t have an assistant for a while but eventually he got one and it was a rather strict slightly older than the rest male. Alfred made a joke that Putin sent a minime and Mel had to shut him up before anyone else heard him. Luckily the strictness slowly faded away and Mel found out Ivan’s assistant was actually a old soul dork who was a dancer on the side.

x Mel and Ivan play matchmaker with other nations and sometimes their assistants. This is how Mel found out that half the world has already slept with each other. She really can’t look at England the same. This is how Ivan found out he has two admirers that are Germany and France’s assistants. Since Ivan and Me’s relationship is still private she finds it cute the others fond over Ivan. She even joins in on letting them talk about him as if they have a chance. She keeps her victory to herself.

x Mel found out Ivan can sing his fucking heart out (literally), but he keeps it to himself so she has to catch him around his house when she comes over. This is rather difficult since she doesn’t know the lay out of his big ass house very well and he moves around a lot when he is busy. He can even throat sing as well, he learned from China and Mongolia when he was a child. At first it scared the shit out of Mel.

x Mel has stumbled upon Ivan’s wide collection of pipe that he keeps in his normally locked artillery. When she asked him about it he looked pale and admitted that during wars with other countries when his people destroyed towns he would collect them as trophy. When Mel looked closer on the sides Ivan had carved in the sides the name of the county and towns. When Mel asked him about the pipe he used to carry in his trench coat. He told her it was actually a pipe from his old capital/home.

x Ivan was the one to teach Mel how to shoot different types of guns. She told him it wasn’t necessary but he kinda tricked her into learning with a bribe. Now she knows how to aim and fire machine guns. What was the bribe you may be asking? Ivan keeps his april fools dress and other dress like costumes and told her he would model them for her. Mel couldn’t resist after she overheard how cute Ivan looked from Francis.

x Some of the countries have some supernatural element besides being immortal. Ivan falls into the list despite not being fully aware he can do it. He is aware that he can teleport and be summoned, he can see and very rarely control Gentral Winter, but he isn’t aware that he has full control over his scarf like extra hands. He isn’t fully aware that he can control anything winter related outside of the season. Many times Mel has woken up to Ivan’s body being completely frozen and the bedroom being iced over. She’s had to wake him so she wouldn’t die.

x With that being said Mel is kinda terrified of spending some winters with Ivan because he does this thing were he shuts down completely and “freezes to death” and can be sleep for days before waking up fully energized. When this happens tho his whole house turns into a tundra and no matter how many times Mel turns up the heat its still cold. She’s had to call Tolys to come help her either make it through Ivan’s snow hibernations or take her somewhere else to stay.

x Ivan always feels bad when he wakes up to find a note and blanket draped over him. When Mel finally asked why that happens it was a very touchy topic and she understood if he didn’t want to talk about it. He admitted months later while they were in the countryside enjoying the summer that he has actually died and been reborn twice, everytime he died he did so outside in the snow from freezing to death. Both times he was reborn he had woken up in sunflower fields because it was the warmest part of his country. But when he is home his powers try to replicate the harsh winters inside which causes him to freeze for a few days then wake back up.

x Ivan doesn’t want Mel’s pity from his time growing up and his time as a country. He just wishes for her to listen to him when he speaks even if she doesn’t understand it all. Ivan has a lot of baggage he carries and he is aware of his outstandish behaviors and interactions. He is better than what he was but he still has his moments were he relapse back into his dark days. But he never takes it out on Mel or anyone around him, he always locks himself away until he feel able to come out. Those are the days Mel feels that Ivan is most human and she stays by his side.

x Ivan loves spontaneous vacations and he offers them to Mel every chance he gets. But Mel being Alfred’s assistant and a public affairs member has to work long hours. Ivan takes pity on humans for having to work so hard but he understand it (I mean this IS Russia we are talking about...) But when she turns in her vacation days she is quick to pack her bags to go to somewhere random. Yao has welcomed them many times his his home.

x Yao was the first person Ivan told about his relationship. Although Yao scold him about how dangerous and stupid falling in love with a human was he still supports him. To Yao Ivan is still a child looking for someone to love him more than anything. Yao wont take that away but he will pay attention to Ivan in future dates when the time comes when Mel is no longer with him.

x Ivan has taken Mel snow drifting and nearly gave the girl a heart attack. Matthew has offered to join them and she has never seen two grown as men nearly flip a car so easily from having fun. Alfred likes the rush when he is driving but he panics when anyone else takes the wheels. IVan and Matthew purposefully shove Alfred in the back with Mel.

x Mel really loves museums and Ivan makes it his duty to take her his when she comes over. They have a lot of dates at the museums and Opera Houses. Ivan finally gets to express his love for the arts unlike before when Mel is around. He admits he’s favorite culture besides is own is Francis’s and it’s noticeable.

x Ivan keeps many historical items in his house that even historians know nothing about. He thought it was the only way to keep them safe and away from the public so they wouldn’t be stolen. Though he admits some of the items he took because he liked them. Ivan told Mel that even though he didn’t like Nicholas II (more like he really didn’t like the fact he was in charge) he was very fond of his wife and children. They used to call him uncle Ivan. Ivan owns a few dresses and crowns that belonged to the girls. He even owns a crown and a gown from his favorite queen, Catherine The Great. He has allowed Mel to wear the crowns before and has even commissioned a republica of a few of the dresses for Mel. Though she prefers to wear Ivan’s traditional clothing when she can. But playing royalty is a wonder touch.

x ^^^ Ivan has even joined her in dressing up and they’ve done countless Beauty and the Beast like dances in Ivan’s living room.

x Ivan doesn’t like the movie Anastasia but he will admit the song Once Upon a December is a really good song. Mel had caught him singing it a few times.

x Ivan can grow body hair, Mel really wanted to see him with a fancy bread and mustache he used to wear back in time. Ivan has a lot of portraits of himself scattered across his country that other humans are unaware are all the same person. She noticed a rather famous painting of Ivan hanging in his international museum during one of their dates and it was one of him with a full beard. So in the time he was growing a beard everyone at the meetings were confused. Until one day He showed up with an icon russian beard and Author nearly choked on his tea thinking he saw a ghost of a czar. Francis loved it. Alfred was high key jealous because he could never grow good facial hair.

x Ivan is the Justice Dance master, he doesn’t care how silly he looks he wins everytime. Nation sleep overs are fucking wide.

LOVED this toothpaste! I instantly noticed my teeth looking whiter after just one use! Has a light, minty, refreshing taste. It comes out a gray color because of the charcoal in it. I was expecting it to be more black like those intense charcoal toothpastes I’ve seen before, but it still worked great.

5. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray:

First time using this setting spray. Jeffree Star swears by it, so I had to purchase it. Not gonna lie, I slept with my makeup on and in the morning my makeup was still flawless. My face makeup didn’t wear off at all! This product definitely lives up to its name.

6. Revlon Jumbo Waver:

Okay, so this is where my getting ready routine started getting complicated. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this waver, but I had a rough start trying to get it to work. I felt like it wasn’t getting hot enough and wasn’t making intense enough waves in my hair, even on the highest heat setting. You really need to clamp it down for like 10 seconds before moving down your hair to clamp it again. Took me about 35 minutes to do my whole head. Straightening and curling my hair takes about 20 minutes. It came out looking more crimped then waved. I did like the end result tho. My hair is naturally wavy, kind of how it turned out, but this waver made it look more tamed, uniformed, and not frizzy. I would definitely try using it again.

Tell Me Again Tomorrow: Part 2

Pairing: Rami Malek x Female Reader

Summary: The reader lives in LA and her friend Alisha begs her to go to a party for the weekend at the beach. She really doesn’t want to go, but Alisha convinces her and she meets a captivating man.

Warnings: some swearing and so much fluff ugh he’s so sweet.

A/N: Okay so I’m gaining confidence with this series. Also I have never actually been to the place that is mentioned at the end (no spoilers) but I went on the website and did my best. If you want to read part one I’m tagging this as (tell me again tomorrow fic) because I have no idea how to link it lmao..Enjoy!

I woke up the next morning feeling more energized than usual. It took a second for me to remember Rami, but only a second. A smile spread across my face as I rubbed my eyes. I rolled over in the big fluffy white bed I had all to myself and saw that Alisha’s head was partially hanging off the bed. She must have had the spins last night. She was very drunk when I found her and passed out before her head hit the pillow, literally.

I grabbed my phone on the side table. 7:43 AM and one text message. It was from an unknown number, but I knew who it was.

Rami: hey it’s Rami from yesterday. I know it’s super early but I woke up thinking about you and idk maybe we could get breakfast?

I smiled so big and threw my phone down on my chest, trying to refrain from squealing. I loved that he was up early and already thinking about me. We were too enveloped in each other to drink too much last night, so we escaped the hangover that seemed to wash over the whole hotel.

You: oh yes I remember. I would love to get breakfast with you:) just have to get ready…and check if Alisha is still breathing lol

I jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom to start getting ready. As I brushed my teeth I let my mind wander. I wonder what Rami sounds like in the morning. Or what he looks like when he brushes his teeth. Or what he thought of when he thought of me this morning. But then I stopped myself and pushed those thoughts away. I pushed them away because this is what I did before I started dating my ex. This is what I do.

The second I meet someone that I really like my mind goes crazy and if I let it go far enough I start visualizing what our wedding would be like on the second date. I don’t love many, but I love few too easily and very deeply. It’s dangerous and the reason I alienate myself from everything. I tell myself I’m enjoying the single life, but it’s really just me putting myself in a prison. But now’s not the time for those thoughts, so I put them back in their folder and save it for later when I can’t sleep at 3am and no one is relying on me functioning.

I’m almost finished getting ready when my phone buzzes.

Rami: great! maybe not for Alisha tho. I can pick you up at 9? we can go to that diner across the street if you'd like?

You: sounds perfect! 9 works for me

Rami: okay cool:)

I walked back into the room Alisha and I shared and started to get dressed.

“Uhhhhh fuck my life..” I heard a loud groan from under the pile of blankets on the other bed.

Alisha had woken up and from what it sounds like, gotten hit by a bus.

I grabbed a glass from the dresser and filled it with water from the bathroom sink. She was so lucky I had to carry migraine pills with me all the time. I walked over to her bed and pulled back the covers.

“Well hey there gorgeous!” I said in a chipper, sarcastic voice.

“Shhhhh jeeeesus why are you yelling?” she whisper screamed at me.

“Oh it’s because I love you. Here take this and drink some water. Give that poor liver a break will ya.”

She sat up, brushing the hair from her face and downing the pills.

“Whoa why are you so done up this early?” she raised her eyebrows.

“I uh met a guy last night sort of..” I trailed off grabbing a shirt from my bag and pulling it over my head.

“Oooo and you slept here last night? Are you crazy? Hasn’t it been like a year since you got some dick?”

“Always so eloquent.” I mumbled while pulling up my jeans.

“He must be something a little extra then huh?”

“Yeah I mean, we just talked for a long time and he listened. You know really listened. You know how I am with that.”

“Well I’m glad you had a good time yesterday. I was worried you were going to sulk by the bar all night.” she smiled lazily and then fell back into the pillows, closing her eyes. I rolled my eyes at her comment.

“Oh and would you please do yourself a favor and hop on that? You are wound way too tight for a weekend beach party.”

I hurled a pillow at her, “I’ll show you wound too tight.”

“No! Show him!” we both laugh hard. I really loved moments like this with her.

I had just finished putting my shoes on when my phone buzzed again. That must be Rami. I walked over to the now sleeping Alisha and kissed her forehead, leaving two more pills on the side table for when she woke up next. I left, shutting the door quietly.

Rami pulled up minutes after I came out of the hotel doors. He got out and walked around the car to open the door for me. He looked different than last night. He wore jeans and a fitted t-shirt with a bomber jacket. He looked comfortable and casual and it was so cute.

“Good morning, dear!” he said sweetly. I can’t remember the last time someone called me dear, but I am not complaining.

“Morning!” I smiled at him and climbed into the passenger seat.

He drove us to the diner, and when we walked in the smell of pancakes and bacon filled my nose and made my stomach growl with hunger. The server seated us at a booth in the corner next to a window. She gave us menus and left.

“So did Alisha survive the night?” he asked jokingly.

I looked up from the menu and laughed, “Oh yeah just barely. She woke up just long enough to give me shit and then go back to sleep.”

“Give you shit about?” he inquired, doing that thing with his mouth that I found incredibly endearing.

“Just about yesterday. You know…and you.” I cleared my throat and looked back at my menu, knowing damn well where this conversation was going.

Rami put down his menu and folded his arms on the table, leaning forward a little. I wasn’t looking at him, but I could feel the grin on his face.

“Oh? Why would she do that?”

There was no way to get out of this subject, so better just get it out of the way.

“Well I mean, I don’t exactly meet people all the time.” I put down my menu and sat back against the booth.

“Oh come on. I don’t know if I believe that.” he said, biting his lip.

“It’s true. I put blinders on and I go to work and come home and that’s that.”

“Well I get that. I get stuck in that all the time with what I do. But you mean no one ever tries to ask you out ever?”

“Nope. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with how I carry myself, but it really doesn’t bother me. I’d rather not go through the motions with people.” I shrugged.

The waitress came over to pour us some coffee and take our orders. I proceeded to pour nearly all the creamer in my coffee.

“So you’ve been hurt.” Rami stated, clearly not forgetting the conversation.

I sighed. “Hasn’t everyone?”

He sensed my feelings toward the subject. “Hey I’m sorry if this is too heavy for Saturday morning breakfast with a strange guy you just met.” That lovely smile returned and warmed me up again.

“No it’s okay. I just don’t ever get to talk about this. Alisha is usually there for everything and witnesses it so I don’t have to tell her, and well she’s sort of all I got.”

“Well you can talk with me about anything you want. You fascinate me.” he sipped his coffee, gazing off in the distance.

“How could I be fascinating?” I ask watching his every move.

“How could you not? I don’t know it’s so many things. The way you talk about things. The way that you basically put me in my place when I approached you yesterday.” I laughed. I did didn’t I? “When you are listening to me talk you chew the inside of your cheek. I don’t know it’s just you. I want to know everything about you.”

I blushed and grabbed for my coffee. No one finds me fascinating. Well I guess that’s not true now though is it?

We ate our food and talked. I told him the story about me and Alisha riding our bikes around on the weekend when we were kids. How she fell and broke her arm so I put her on my bike and took her home as she sat on the handle bars and cried. I got to sign the cast first.

He told me about the time when him and his brother Sami put on a concert in the living room for their parents when they were 6 years old. He told me that he insisted on being the lead singer and how Sami always let him have the spotlight.

You both finished up and Rami took the bill. “Hey do you um, and you can totally say no, but do you want to spend the day with me?” he asked shyly.

I smiled and grabbed his hand as we left the diner. “I would love to, Rami.”

We got into Rami’s car and got on the highway. I wasn’t quite sure what the plan was, and usually that would make me uneasy, but the mixture of the warm sun on my skin, the wind blowing through my hair, Duran Duran coming through the stereo, and this gorgeous man that I’d somehow stumbled upon sitting next to me made uneasiness seem impossible.

“Are you wondering where we are going yet?” he asked somewhat mischievously, glancing over at me. He had this way of always looking like he was up to something. It was captivating.

“I don’t mind where we go or what we do.” I beamed.

A few minutes later we pulled up to the Grammy Museum. My mouth dropped open. I look at him, suddenly filled with uncontrollable excitement.

“Are you serious?! Do you know how long I’ve wanted to come here?�� I began looking out all the windows. All I could feel was the uncontrollable urge to jump out of the car and run inside, but I kept my composure because I didn’t want to scare him off with my hyper fixations.

I hadn’t quite expressed to Rami my love for music, but I guess he was going to learn today. Ever since I moved to this city I have wanted to come here, but there was always work or anxiety or sleep deprivation. But here I am.

“I didn’t realize this was such a big thing for you, but now I’m glad I chose this one. Well come on let’s go see it all.” he said quickly. We got out of the car and I grabbed his hand pulling him along inside.

Rami’s POV

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so excited to be somewhere than her right now. She grabbed my hand as soon as we got out of the car. My heart skipped as I watched her scan the whole place head to toe as we walked in the entrance.

We walked through and came to the Songwriters Hall of Fame first. She would gasp and squeal at the things that caught her eye. If she knew about a particular thing she would go off on a tangent telling me every detail of what she knew. The spark I saw in her when she talked about it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. I can’t imagine ever tiring of it.

At the Music Epicenters exhibit she showed me how music jumped from Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry to Elvis and The Rolling Stones. She explained how each section influenced the next and it was fascinating.

We skipped through the museum like children in Disneyland and I honestly couldn’t remember the last time anyone made me feel like this. She made me let everything go and just hold on to this moment we were sharing. She was incredible. Where has she been all these years?

Your POV

We finished looking through every bit of the museum and it was an amazing experience. At times I worried I was talking too much, but when I’d quiet down Rami would ask me a question. He was the only person who made me feel this comfortable talking about what I loved. He never rolled his eyes, never sighed in boredom. He would smile as I’d explain things and watch me intently with those beautiful eyes that I couldn’t escape.

We decided to go for a walk around a few blocks.

“You really enjoyed that then?” he asked, reaching for my hand which began to feel normal.

“I did. Very much, Rami, thank you for that. And for listening to me ramble.” I giggled.

“Well no need to thank me I loved every second of it.” he grinned and nudged my side.

I took a deep breath and let it out closing my eyes for a moment as we walked.

“You know I almost didn’t come here this weekend.”

“Oh yeah? Why did you decide on it.” he questioned.

“I couldn’t tell you. I just felt like I wanted something to change in my life and doing something I wouldn’t normally do might be a good first step.”

We stopped and sat on the bench along the path we had been walking.

“I want to see you again. I mean after this weekend. I don’t want to continue with real life unless I know you’ll be with me. I mean that is if you want to be with me, of course. I would never force you.” he took both my hands in his and looked into my eyes, hopefully.

I began to tear up a little and I saw his smile turn into worry. I wiped the tear away quickly, trying to hide it but knowing it was too late.

“(Y/N), I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to-“ I cut him off before he could blame himself for anything.

“No, no please don’t apologize. You’ve given me the best day I’ve had in a very long time. I promise I’m not crying because of you it’s just-“

He brought his hand to my cheek and wiped a tear away with his thumb.

“God that’s unfair..” he trailed off, a soft smile forming.

“W-what’s unfair?” I asked confused.

“How gorgeous you are when you cry.” he said sadly.

I giggled, which then turned into a laugh, which turned into me grabbing my sides laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe for a moment.

I looked up at him now looking slightly confused but in an amusing way.

“Oh come here.” I said softly, grabbing either side of his face and pulling our mouths together. It was a sweet, warm, but passionate kiss. His lips felt amazing against mine, and I’d almost forgot the feeling. I broke the kiss and leaned back slightly. His eyes stayed closed for a moment as if to savor it and then they opened as beautiful and gleaming as ever.

“A lot has happened in my past. We can talk about it another day, I promise. Just be patient with me.” I reassured him.

He nodded indicating that he understood. He brought his hand up to brush some hair out of my eyes studying my face lovingly.

“Oh and just because you told me to say this today, you are absolutely stunning.” he laughed and pulled me into his side.

Me in the hospital: i cannot sleep for 24 hours, the slightest noise is blaring, i am perpetually anxiety adrenaline

As soon as i get home: has the best sleep of my life

I usually take an hour to get to sleep each night but i totally just curled up like a snail and dropped into dreamland instantly. And i woke up to a nice warm house cos the heating turned on while i was asleep, and now all the anesthetic is completely worn off so i feel energized and great! And my throat pain has eased up so thankfully i wont have to be liquids only for as long as i thought. I was all hyperactive and cooked a great fancy omelette and it tastes like heaven itself! Its so weird how stuff tastes slightly diffetent when its the first time youve been able to chew with the right side of your mouth in five years. I guess the tastebuds on the sides of your tongue are slightly different? When i eat everything now im gonna be rolling it all over my mouth like WOW ITS ALL SO NEW AGAIN! Will probably look nuts in the middle of mcdonalds with my cheeks puffed like a squirrel XD

Oh and this is also a great excuse to drink loads of chocolate milkshakes from my milkshake viking mug! I feel so energized with calcium and yums!! EVERYTHING TASTES SO NEWWWWWWW

Oh man i do feel a bit sleepy again now after just being up for a few hours tho. I have these good jaw pain specific medicines i have to take for the next two weeks til my followup appointment to check if theres any infection left. But man i feel SO ALIVE AGAIN im pretty sure all the rot is gone! It feels so wild having space in my mouth and not constant clenchy tightness. It actually hurts less recovering from the surgery than it did before, lol! I can feel all my teeth moving apart again and loosening up into normality and the gums healing up all their injuries and oh god i just love how they cleaned out all the broken parts of my teeth and capped them with these great replacements that look so real you'd never be able to tell! My smile looks not ugly!! My smile looks not ugly!! Aaaaa! I just expected regaining the right side of my mouth, i didbt expect to e like "holy shit it must have hurt even more than i realized cos this feels so amazing now". Like i guess i got used to putting up with it and forgot how it felt to not have painmouth? Underestimated how good a teeth can be! And man i never asked for reconstructive cosmetic stuff too but they did these caps and aaa my teeth never looked his good even when they were new!! My front teeth were always crooked even before they did the weird balogna slam together and shattered into a pile of crap. And now they look like perfect supermodel teeth!! The only side effect is that its a lil hard to get used to the lack of gaps between them now after so long dealing with the shattered mess. My tongue keeps being like "oh no did something get stuck in the gaps again oh wait there arent any" and then i subconsciously try to clean them after taking every bite and just bite my tongue instead. Man i never noticed i picked up a bunch of weird mannerismd cos of tje bad teeth! I was constantly paranoidly checking my mouth 24/7 in case the slightest thing made it even worse, and eating super gently so that nothing accidentally touched the Wrong Tooth and set off a jolt of pain. And i actually needed to get a filling put in on the leftmost back tooth that was the ONLY TOOTH I COULD USE TO EAT WITHOUT PAIN for all this time! Overuse of it meant that it got ground down a little and probably would have become painful too if i'd left it any longer. Then i really would have been all soups all the time and that sucks!! Soups are good but nothing but then gives u stomach issues. The bad poops!!

Man sorry im rambling so much im just so hyper and happy and also still kinda dopily sleepy! Im not still delirious or anything i just feel the happy kind of sleepy where the anesthetic is all gone and its not "oh god i cant stay awake" and more natural sleepyness of a long day being over and everything being okay. I had such a good long nap and i feel well rested after getting so little sleep beforehand due to all the dumb anxiety. And i still feel dozey but happy doze~

Anyway its awesometo be able to really chug and crunch a foods! With the other side of my mouth i forgot about! And taste milkshake to its fullest extent!! Oh and whats weird is that the reconstructive surgery capping on my front teeth means that theyre kinda one tooth now? The caps are all linked in a single piece to fill the gaps fully without even the natural ones you'd have on healthy teeth. So its like a solid tooth guard just sculpted to look like three teeth. Itll be tricky to train myself out of thts subconcious rubbing the gaps with my tongue when theyre not even there. But i expect once i get over the unfamiliarity this triple cap will be really useful! Theyre totes reinforced so that even if i do get tight mouth problems again and the front teeth take the brunt of the pressure, now theres no gaps to smash into each other and become a painful mess. Its like scaffolding reinforcing my whole mouth by fixing the loadbearing beam, or something.

Oh also these pain meds make u a little bit more sleepy than normal paracetamol so i'll probably doze off again soon. But hopefully i will have slept off most of the "healing debt exhaustion" tomorrow and will be able to go walk down the shops and buy some icecream and other soft food. I mostly stocked up on purely liquid food cos i tjought my mouth function would be more limited. But honestly the teeth are working so much better than before, they were already so swollen and painful that i couldnt crunch stuff! Now the mild discomfort of mid-healing from surgery feels like barely anything and i bet i could bite thru a goddamn rock right now! I just cant really swallow crunchy stuff or stuff thats too salty or citrusy. I didnt even know about the stabbity throat pipe so i didnt expect it to be the most painful part that takes the longest to heal. It feels so weird cos i keep coughing like my brain thinks theres phelgm stuck in my throat when its actually a skin flap/blister from the insertion. So obviously that aint going anywhere and i have to try and force myself not to cough or swallow or else i set off this cjain of "must get thing out of throat must puke" reflex. And the pain feels like a sore throat but it isnt?? Its not really inflamed ot anything its just an actual friction burn on the opening of my airway. Which is not a common occurance so the brain is justvlike "what the fuck is happening, must send all contradicting signals at once!" So sore throat medicine wont work cos that goes down your throat passage to your stomach when really this lil skin tag blister thing is in the lung throat opening thing. And sucking on throat sweets made it worse cos all the muscles were really tense around the area where the tube was inserted, hence why it was hard to swallow food even tho it was my windpipe that hurt. And sucking on something is kinda like perpetually swallowing nothing, when you think about it? Im glad that the muscle tenseness is mostly gone now and the painkillers are helping with the ouch, and my brainis getting usedto not coughing and making it worse. But still should eat soft easily swallowable stuff for a lil while and it'll be fun to go aroundthe shops with my last pocketful of change and find neat ingredients to stick in omelettes. Im so excited to taste all my favourite things in new HD functional mouth power!!! And i can smile at the shopkeeper!!!

And oh man i really do think that my sleeping problems with stiff neck and that kind of 'bloodrush to the head' migraine were indeed part of the bad wisdom teeth bleeding internally under the gum. I thought it had to be that cos nothing else in my life changed around that time aside from getting a better and healthier bed which should have been beneficial to my neck. And even going back to sleepong on the floor like before didnt make a difference so it definately wasnt the bed! And it kept getting worse while nothing was changing, and i kept trying different things like changing my pillows and headphones and cutting caffeine out of my diet and eating more salt and eating less salt and fuckin ANYTHING ELSE cos i knew if it really was the dumb tooth being infected then there was nothong i could do about it til my surgery day arrived. Itd be such a relief to know for sure that it was indeed the tooth and now that nonsense is gonna be gone forever! But also thats really worrying to know that it was getting so bad it could have spread an infection to my jawbone and the top of my spine if itd been left much longer. I kept sneezing up blood lumps like the size of a fifty pence piece! Had never had nosebleeds for a decade and now suddenly all the time! God it feels so good to be able to lay my head down and not feel all woozy and tense im the forehead or neck. I really hope this good neck untenseness continues and the awful aches really were just the tooth. But everyone in the hospital was so nice that i think even if i do need a second surgery to check for jaw infection then id be able to be less nervoud than i was this time

Man do u ever get that thing where youre so peaceful and contented that like you can breathe easier? Like subconciously taking bigger breaths and the middle of your chest feels slightly puffed out and warm. I guess thats what the "heart leaping in yout chest" idiom is meant to refer to, lol! Or maybe i can just literally breathe easier cos the tooth pain might have been passing into my nasal cavity too, lol. My entire head feels so less tense!! Its like all my bones were rebelling against me and now they're at peace again!! Man i feel so giddy happy like i chugged a giant energy drink or something but its the opposite its a good sleeps drink XD

So im gonna go lie down again and have a relax and watch a movie or something and see if i pass out when the medicine kicks in, or if its not too bad and i can still continue my hyper mood. But my nap was so long that its too late to go to the shops now anyway so i'll just make more plain omelette and milkshake if i get hungry. I mean it doesnt taste plain when all my sense of taste is so amplified likethis! I dont mind if its all i can eat all week. PURE MILKSHAKEY DECADENCE

Aaaaa im just so happy!! I missed my chance to get the new. Kingdlm hearts but ive beenwaiting fkr this surgery for ages too and it feels like just as much of an exciting relief!

I was happily writing a random fanfic (Richy/Igor because why not) when the news about dä tour hit, I had an adrenaline rush and now my mood hit the rock bottom. And I don’t know what to think.

I’m so tired and also angry at my brain, because of my mental health stuff. I feel like the way I’m living my life is just... bad. Like, idk, it feels like depression even. And it scares the shit out of me. I can still remember very well how my life was like when I was depressed when I was 15-17, it got better only when I started antidepressants. It’s like... I don’t want to die but also life feels so pointless? I have a strong will to live but at the same time I feel like I’m more of living in some sort of limbo between life and death. I only exist, and it’s so hard to reach out to my dreams when the dissociation hits everytime and if that doesn’t, then anxiety does. I usually have been able to deal with anxiety and it has helped a great deal when I just accepted it as a part of me and something I just have to survive with. It made life so much easier when I wasn’t trying to fight against myself all the time, but let it be and exists there.

For years I have been wondering about depression tho because I have the tendency for that but just the thought of that always freaks me out so much I go into denial. I just don’t want to face the feels I had that night when I have no other way out but to start antidepressants. I was feeling so shitty those days and it grew so unbearable I could not continue like that anymore. Since I quite antidepressants in 2013, I have been so afraid that the depression would come back one day because I promised myself I won’t start eating them ever again and if it was to come back, I would not have that form of escape anymore. I don’t want to eat meds ever again but what do you do if you feel so shitty and can’t fix it yourself? At its worst it was me in the shower wishing I could also just go through the drain with the water and stop existing. That happened almost every time I was in the shower, I was just staring at the water going down the drain and wished that was me.

I hate it so much that not only can our bodies decide whenever to die, also our brains can malfunction on a daily basis like mine does. Lately I have been having these short episodes of what I would call as depressive feels. Usually I get these during autumn and not during spring. I know that for some people spring is the worst depression time and for me the seasonal affective disorder has always been the exact opposite aka happy and energic during spring and summer, and flegmatic and tired during autumn and winter; so having these in the middle of March is really weird.

One of the biggest reasons for why I’m against antidepressants on myself is that they absolutely killed my creativity AND my emotions. I was not able to create as much as what I used to do before them. Everything I drew or wrote was very shallow and emotionless, it was so hard to get anything started and done and to get any kind of depth to anything so that even the coloring work and everything was not that good. I see this still today if I take something I drew before, during and after meds.This is especially visible with my texts as I wrote several short fanfics around that time and once I started writing again in 2018, my texts were suddenly so much smoother to read. And between 2013 and 2018 I had only written school essays and screamed my thoughts into the void called the internet so there wasn’t really any practice going on that could have affected my skills.

With meds I just always felt that something was lacking from my art and texts and it was really frustrating to me because at the time I did not know what was it, everything just felt so much more difficult than what they should have been and I needed so much effort to even get something drawn or written and none of that was as good as what it should have been with that amount of effort. It’s so different now when I haven’t been eating them for almost 8 years. I just wrote 6 pages of fanfiction here and altho it is slightly tacky sounding, I guess I could treat it just as a draft and it’s more important to write down the dialog and events, I can always work on the other stuff whenever I go through that text next time.

Anyhow, I’m even more exhausted now than what I was before. Maybe I will go to sofa soon and try to watch a movie or something, maybe I will fall asleep on the sofa. I’ve been so incredibly tired every day since last weekend. Yesterday I barely could keep my eyes open before midnight. I had woken up around 1pm or so and I was already so tired at night that I just had to go to bed at 1am and I fell asleep immediately. Every day has been feeling like some non-stop jetlag, or as if I had stayed up over 24 hours despite sleeping just enough. Last night I again slept about 7-8 hours, have been awake for almost 10 hours now and my whole body is trembling because of how tired I already am.

A/N: Can you please write an bts reaction to getting the news that a western younger artist has a crush on them? Thank youuuu💗💗

Jin / Kim Seokjin

Being a guest at variety shows quite often, Jin can enjoy talking freely, knowing how to handle the situation without the other members around. Especially since they are always a great opportunity for him to show off his newest dad jokes. Currently being at a show that got popular very lately, Jin gives his best to show all his good qualities and ends up being questioned by the MC, who tries to compliment Jin on his good looks, “Jin is very handsome, right? Did you know there’s a western artist who has a crush on you?”. As he hears that Jin raises his brows as he looks over to the MC. “What, really? Who is it?” he curiously asks. The MC chuckles, taking a look on his card “In a recent interview Y/N was asked what singer she’d like to have a date with. And apparently she answered with your name!”. As your name is mentioned Jin starts grinning while saying “Woah, I’m really worldwide handsome, aren’t I?” while sending his typical flying kiss to the camera with a wink.

Suga / Min Yoongi

Sitting at the rounded desk in the the recording room of the radio show, Yoongi feels very comfortable. Since they’ve been there before quite often they all know the MC’s and can talk very casually about their comeback, the latest gossip and some personal stuff. “Your comeback with the new album was a huge success! A lot of western artists also congratulated you on your album and that they personally really like it.” one of the MC states and all of the members mumble something in agreement. They read out some fanquestions regarding the topic of western artists and what they think about collaborationg and growing friendships. Following the questions shown on the screen infront of him, Yoongis mind trails off. “Y/N just recently revealed that she has a crush on Suga during an Interview, and would love to collab on the next Cypher with you guys.” the MC suddenly states and Yoongi looks up rather surpised. Namjoon and Jimin start to whistle while Yoongi is not sure what to say, startled by the idea of you rapping with him. “Yah, Suga! I’ve never seen you this quiet before, cat got your tounge?” the MC teases as everyone starts to laugh. Still uncertain Yoongi clears his throat acting confident “What are you talking about. I just had an idea for the beat we would rap to.”.

J Hope / Jung Hoseok

“Hoseok look at this!” Jimin runs towards him, giggling excited with a tablet in his hand. He was just casually relaxing in their shared room dozing off, thoughts wandering around nothing certain as Jimin bursted in. With a beaming smile he drops next to Hoseok onto the bed “You always watch reaction videos to our MV’s right? I swear to god, you will love this one!” Jimin nearly screams in excitement. Suspicious about Jimins words, Hoseok leans closer to him to have a better look at the screen of the tablet. With nothing more to say Jimin taps on the screen starting the YouTube video and Hoseok crooks a brow as he catches a glimpse of the title ‘Western Artists Reacting to BTS’ MV’. A lot of different artists are shown reacting during the MV but during the transition scene to Hoseok your face is shown. You jump up in excitement as you see Hoseok dancing and rapping “Oh my god, this shot is so beautiful. Look at J Hope! He is so beautiful, how can you not crush on him?” you blurt out, unaware of how red your face gets. Right after that Jimin stops the video and looks at Hoseok with anticipation “Y/N has a crush on you hyung! Look at you, you’re beaming like the sun!”. Laughing at Hoseoks precious smile he rolls up on the bed and “Yah, Jimin! Shut up!” is all he can say before having to grin again, not able to hold back.

Rap Monster / Kim Namjoon

Since BTS is having a new Interview with Billboard, Namjoon is taking the lead with answering the questions and translating for the others. They mostly understand the interviewer but Namjoon translates it nevertheless, used to being the one to overcome the language barrier. “Since you collabed on a song with the chainsmokers, what are other artists you would like to work with? It’s been quite some time, since I asked you that, so maybe there are some new artist you’re interested in?” the interviewer asks with an eager smile on her face. And just as everyone expected Namjoon to turn around and repeat the question in korean he blurts out “Y/N! She gained a lot of popularity during the past months, and her style of producing music is really unique. I would love to collab with her one time.”. After noticing what he just did he laughs shyly, not turning to see the faces of the members, knowing well all of them are just smirking at him. The interviewer chuckles at his cute outburst “I actually interviewed her just a couple of days ago, and she said exactly the same about you guys. She also revealed that she has a little crush on you, Rap Monster.” she says and winks at him. Shocked from the news he embarrassingly smiles, showing off his dimples and lowers his fast reddening head. All the other members start laughing at him, hitting him on the arm as he hides his face behind his hands, too shy to handle the situation.

Jimin / Park Jimin

Scrolling through his phone while laying on the couch in the living room, Jimin ended up on Twitter reading comments. Chuckling at the memes and fan edits under every post, he shows the funniest ones to Jungkook who sits next to him. “Have you seen the Tweet literally everone tagged us in?” Jungkook asks while laughing at one of the comments. “Huh, no. What Tweet do you mean?” Jimin asks giving Jungkook a confused look. “You just have to look at the comments of your selfies. You will find it in an instant.” he replies grinning at his hyung. Getting curious, Jimin scrolls through the shared Twitter account to his latest posted selfie and opens up the comment box. To his suprise it was full with the same link, all redirecting to the same Tweet, added with heart emojis and hashtags that look like a weird name. Jungkook next to him scoots closer, eager to see his reaction as Jimin clicks on the link, showing him the Tweet everyone talks about. With a huge suprise he notices that the Tweet is from you, who he met at the last Billboard Music Awards, since you were both nominated for the same category. He starts reading it out loud “I just watched the new MV from Jimins solo song and I have to say, my crush is real. Watch it, it’s beyond heavenly!”. Turning red he locks the screen of his phone and throws it in the corner of the sofa. “Aaaw, hyung! You’re blushing, you can’t deny how happy that makes you. Everyone saw you staring at her on stage!” Jungkook teasingly says as Jimin tries to escape the situation.

V / Kim Taehyung

During the comeback promotion they have a lot of shows with a little talk section in between the dance performances and prepared videos. So after they performed the choreography to their latest title track the staff brought some chairs up the stage and everyone takes a seat. As they talk about the choreography Hoseok takes the lead of explaining “Gladly a lot of people seem to like the choreohraphy so far.” as the crowd cheers in agreement. And Jimin takes the opportunity to tease his best friend “I saw a lot of social media posts saying it’s great. Females seem to really like Taehyung’s part though!”. Taehyung tries to playfully hit Jimin, but he quickly runs away smiling at his success to fluster Taehyung. “I’ve been reading that too!” Jungkook joins in “Y/N even posted on her personal social media, how much she likes you!”. As everyone starts to grin, the crowd screams as Taehyung gives up on trying to hit Jimin but Jungkook instead. “Yah, what are saying? Stop it!” Taehyung says, not sure how to talk himself out of this. “Show us the dance move again!” Jimin teasingly adds, wiggling his eyebrows in anticipation. Embarassed, Taehyung can’t hold back showing off his boxy smile, as he lowers his gaze and shyly shakes his head.

Jungkook / Jeon Jungkook

After an exciting concert overseas Jungkook feels way too energized to sleep yet, so he logs in to V LIVE and starts a live stream in his hotel room, laying on the bed. “Hello everyone. I just came back from the concert. Did you miss me?” just as usual he starts off with fan service, killing some time as A.R.M.Y’s join watching in the speed of light. “I’m not tired yet, so I thought I’d take some questions. Yes, I’m going to eat soon, don’t worry.” he says, directly answering the first one. As he watches the questions, answering one by one, he soon notices many comments about one particular western artist. “I heard rumors about Y/N having a crush on you.” one fan wrote. Trying to ignore it he scrolls past that comment, but ends up finding more. “Lately Y/N often talks about you on her social network. People think you’re dating lol” another comment says. Not being able to avoid the topic Jungkook starts to blush and cover his smiling mouth with one hand “What are you saying… Please ask me something instead”. Fans calm down until a question related to the western singer pops up: What do you think about Y/N? Jungkook hesitantly answers “I really like her music. I bet Y/N is a nice person. Not saying we’re dating tho.” while trying not to blush again.

year in review

Time for the year in review! I do these two surveys and the writing one every year, though the writing one is gonna wait until I have time to collect all the links and do the word count and everything.

Fandom 2017

1. Your main fandom of the year?

Definitely still Hamilton on the reading/writing front. In the "this is all I talk about" way, it was probably Great Comet or maybe Malloy in general because I still want to talk about Ghost Quartet all the time.

2. Your favorite film watched this year?

(Hahaha, in last year's meme I said something about finding Moana surprisingly moving and wanting to see it again. I ended up seeing it like, five times in theatres.)

But actual films that I actually saw in 2017 that weren't Moana. Probably Get Out. It's really a masterful piece of work in my very favorite genre. I made a zillion people see it. I still think about it all the time. And [vague spoilers] the bit where Rod comes out of the car is probably my favorite movie moment in 2017. [/vague spoilers]

3. Your favorite book read this year?

I can narrow it down to my top three, which were Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee, Star-Crossed by Barbara Dee, and Ghostland by Colin Dickey. The first two are completely unsurprising--Gentleman's Guide is my favorite sort of narrative, where there are exciting adventures and also a queer romance and everyone lives happily ever after. Star-Crossed is the book I needed when I was thirteen, and Ghostland is something I'm still talking about all the time.

4. Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?

Did I listen to anything new this year? Oh, Ghost Quartet! Definitely Ghost Quartet, it was all I listened to for about two months.

5. Your favorite TV show of the year?

Oh god, I don't know? There was nothing I was obsessive over. New stuff that I liked: One Day at a Time, The Good Place, and...maybe that was it?

6. Your favorite online fandom community of the year?

idk. To be honest, I still don’t quite ~*~get~*~ tumblr (tho I had some nice conversations via the chat function, despite my general awkwardness as a human), LJ is dead, and while I connect with fandom friends and talk about fandom on Twitter, I don’t do that as much as I whine about my life. I guess AO3 has been great via comments received, but that also feels one-sided, as chatty cathy as I sometimes get when responding to people’s comments. Most of my fandom conversations this year have PROBABLY been over text?

7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year?

I don't think I had one, unless you count Ghost Quartet.

Everything that happened around the end of Great Comet. I'm still angry and heartbroken over it.

I'm changing this from "your TV bf" and "your TV gf" because I just don't watch a ton of teevee anymore. Still, even with that change, I'm not sure I have a fandom boyfriend right now. I have been pretty anti-dude this year. OH, I guess unless you count Lucas Steele getting all up in my biz on stage when I saw Comet in August XD

Probably Brittain Ashford or Morgan Marcell.

11. Your biggest squee moment of the year?

My entire Chicago trip was pretty great, including seeing Karen as Angelica which was WOW. Seeing Malloy as Pierre. The final performance of Great Comet in a ferris wheel with @lisapizza @charmingpplincardigans and @chiasticbees

12. The most missed of your old fandoms?

Mostly I miss having close buddies in fandom. I miss texting @pearlo every dumb fic idea I have and planning trips and parties for people to come do fannish stuff together.

I’m p mono-fannish, so I’m good for now.

14. Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?

Oh god, I don't know? Heroes, probably. It's weird not doing DragonCon this year. Um, Hamilton in Boston. Whatever happens with Moby Dick. Black Panther and A Wrinkle in Time. The Simon vs. movie.

What did you do in 2017 that you’d never done before?

Went on a non-con vacation with friends! Recorded a live podcast episode (twice!)! Uh...probably other things?

I started this at the end of the year? But I did not start in January, so much of the year is lost to my shitty memory.

This also did not happen. I did go on some, but not as many as 2016 and I spent a large chunk of 2017 dragging my feet over asking someone out instead of just...asking.

Next year:

+ Come up with a better way to track reading/writing/finances + Set up some kind of writing schedule + Cook more often + Schedule at least a couple days a month that are designated "get nothing done" days, so I have at least a couple days where I'm not an anxious mess over not doing enough. + Go somewhere new + Go on more dates--there will be more kissing in 2018, I stfg.

Did anyone close to you give birth?

Caitlin had a baby! I still haven't met him :(

Did anyone close to you die?

The only person I can think of is Sara, a con friend who I know through several of my closer friends. It was weird being at con without her.

What countries did you visit?

Just the US. Hoping to change that in 2018. I did go to ATL, Charlotte, and Chicago, but even that feels like less travel than I normally do.

What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017?

I’d like to feel more on top of things. I’d like more organization in my life. I’d like more sleep. I’d like a girlfriend.

January 21 and the Women's March, which was amazing and energizing. June 13 when we saw Malloy as Pierre and that whole weird weekend. September 3 and having the final performance of Great Comet in a ferris wheel. (And also crying my cosplay make-up off all day like a nerd.)

What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Staying alive? I feel like this was not a particularly strong year for achievements.

The whole year feels kind of like a fuzzy grey blur. I feel like I can come up with nine hundred failures, but none of them were particularly bad.

Did you suffer illness or injury?

I started the year off with a broken foot and also with a cold that lasted almost a week. The usual brain stuff was worse than usual thanks to the state of the world. I got glasses.

What was the best thing you bought?

Tickets to Great Comet and Hamilton and Ghost Quartet and Ghost Light and all the other shows and things I saw. My trip to Chicago. My skeleton onesie.

Whose behavior merited celebration?

My friends. A lot of excellent activists.

The American people as a whole and everything associated with our clusterfuck election outcome.

Grown-up type stuff (rent, utilities, groceries), cons, and travel.

I feel like this question is more aimed towards people who listen to the radio. My answer is going to be Ghost Quartet because I listened to that a lot.

Compared to this time last year, are you:

a) happier or sadder? I would say that, overall, 2017 has been a sadder year for me than 2016, because up until November, my 2016 was pretty great. But this very moment right now, I think I'm probably slightly happier than I was in December 2016 because everything seemed SO bleak at that point, and at least now there's been some hope.

b) thinner or fatter? Same.

c) richer or poorer? Same.

What do you wish you’d done more of?

Writing. Sleeping. Going on dates. Hanging out with people.

I do bones and vulture culture stuff too! right now im trying to figure out how to degrease things because three months in almost daily soap changes is still not done. ugh.

bad sounds!

Things with wavelengths that you can hear. Tractors, motors, drills, and fans. Fans ESPECIALLY. I cannot sleep if I can hear a fan. Most of them sound light pukey green and ovular. They burrow into the tendons on the sides/back of my neck and can make me feel sick. I don't do well with neighbors, obviously.

Vaccumns and leaf blowers are also really sharp and yellow and awful, but I like the repetitive motion of using them so I listen to music (I have playlists that vibe with the specific motions) while doing the task.

Fans are my worst enemy though.

OH AND ANOTHER THING: I cannot listen to two conversations at once, and if there is music or tv going: I literally cannot understand you. Sound leaves your mouth but its complete nonsense.

But that has to do with sensory processing disorder and not synesthesia.

You know what's hell tho?

Sensory processing disorder + synesthesia.

A noise is overwhelming but uh oh. Now the noise is ALSO a physical sensation and a color. What fun!

I used to have constant crying shaking meltdowns and not know why, but after my therapist told me about sensory processing disorder, I've been doing way more selfcare and no longer melt down. Give myself breaks from things, wear sunglasses whenever im outdoors, ask people to turn music/tv off to talk to me, ask for one conversation at a time at the dinner table, excuse myself if things get overwhelming. It's about being nice to yourself. If your family is extremely toxic (like mine) they won't listen when you ask for allowances so you have to make your own.

When I was working in a studio setting while being mentored, I kept getting really stressed and overwhelmed because everyone was talking while playing music the whole time and my earbuds didnt drown it out. My mentor noticed and gave me noise cancelling headphones and I took off like a shot.

Now, I bring headphones with me whenever I think there might be a lot of clashing ambient noise, like theme parks and restaurant. Amazingly, when I properly selfcare and use headphones to ward off overwhelm, I actually spend MORE time with them off, and am able to engage with my people and communicate and even tolerate multiple things happening at once. Taking care of yourself when you need it most makes the rest of your life more energized, connected, and capable to withstand the noise that neurotypicals don't even notice. I'm a much more present, attentive, relaxed, happy, and productive on days I take my headphones on and off than on days that I dont bring them at all. Toxic people will bully you for selfcaring because they hate things that are different and refuse to understand. They project that because They would only use headphones to be spiteful, you are too.

My mom berated me for trying to wear headphones on her birthday while also refusing to let me eat dinner later or even leave the room. Guess who never gets birthday visits anymore

But yeah I dont do great with fans, vaccuums, power tools, generators, computers, or most electronics. My desktop is noisy so i usually have music going to drown it out because it makes me a bit sick.

Texture: wooden spoons. They suck your hands dry as if they are full of evil malicious intent. I usually use a towel wrapped around the handle.

do you know how much work i put into my timelapses

Every vertical line is place where i cut out a jarring zoom, or a tricky spot that got erased a bunch, or cycling through layers to figure out where i was, or in the really long videos, trying to cut footage and make it look seamless by timing the placement of the mouse at the end and beginning of the stitched clips.

I export it multiple times to rewatch for sudden jumps and flashes because they make my stomach flinch when I see them.

The songs are Very important to the content, and if it doesn't feel right I can't use it. I see music so if something doesn't line up in my brain, it hurts.

I do try to pick artists that are lesser known so the timelapse might be the first time you hear them (unless my brain has picked a song already and won't let me change it)

I spend more time editing the videos than I do painting, because to me, the finished product is like a stim vid, and so far I'm picking somewhat calming songs because that's what fits the water paintings.

soonyoung is that customer that comes in not knowing what he wants

ends up stalling the line bc he keeps asking jeonghan the same thing every time

“you literally asked that yesterday”

“it doesn’t ever change”

messes with jeonghan a lot when he orders

“well, there’s mingyu’s special roast, I think there’s still some — “

does this all on purpose bc he likes to mess with jeonghan

bffs with dk

likes to help dk yell out orders whenever the cafe’s too busy (bc there’s literally only one server)

since dk sings out his orders, soonyoung wanted to do something special too

so he does a little dance move whenever he gives out an order (how cute)

but was stopped by jeonghan when soonyoung dropped his fourth order in a row

but does a little wave of his arms when he gives out orders bc he still wants make the customers smile :)

also sings the orders out too (bC HIS VOICE IS HEAVEN , FIGHT ME ON THIS)

& sometimes he and dk harmonizes the orders and it’s just hecka cute

omg they can be called the sunshine servers

anyway;;;

considered the cafe’s little ball of energy & ray of sunshine bc whenever he walks into the cafe, it seems like the atmosphere brightens

like students who are stressing away from studying are instantly energized and motivated

the couple arguing in the corner is cooling down from their argument and is ready to say their sorry’s

wow just wow, his presence is just great and knows how to lift up the atmosphere of the cafe

tbh seungcheol ends up hiring soonyoung anyway

barista jun also makes good coffee, but tends to make it too bitter

bc he wants everyone to enjoy “the pure taste of coffee”

& plus, he wants you to be healthy

they observe their customers a lot; it’s like they’re outgoing wallflowers (if that’s even a thing)

he’s only part time bc he teaches dance at a near by studio hehe

whenever he’s not working at the cafe or in the studio, he usually sits at a table nearest to the counter so the two can talk to each other

bc he’s bffs with barista jun

only orders a latte bc he likes how mingyu pours the milk

lowkey does it for the insta

sometimes he brings in his students to treat them out (wow minghao, so cute)

but that means that’s like 20+ more customers.... on top of their usual rush hour amount which is around 40 customers.... . .. ...

oh no

so during these times if the cafe gets way too busy for josh, mingyu, and jun combined, minghao jumps in to help them

& his students are like “wow!!!!! look at our teacher go!!!” so cute

as a barista, he’s actually pretty good at brewing coffee

better than jun (woops sorry junhui)

tries his hardest on latte art bc he wants to be as good as mingyu

a very quiet barista tbh

doesn’t really talk much

does his work quickly & efficiently whenever he’s behind the counter

however, he’s like... really.. loud.... when he’s not working & just chilling in the coffee shop

chan is also a regular customer

but is not allowed to drink coffee;;;

apparently, he drank coffee once and couldn’t stay in one place... like at all

let’s just say that he was behind the counter when he wasn’t supposed to be

& let’s just say... some orders were not given that day;;;;;

sometimes barista jun takes over the cashier whenever jeonghan’s sick

rumor has it that chan ended up ordering coffee on one of those days, and jeonghan literally burst through the doors to deny him the order

“my spidey senses were tingling, this child is not allowed coffee”!!!!!

since he’s still in school, he brings his schoolwork to the cafe a lot

his hyungs help him with it from time to time

is that customer that ends up camping out when it’s exam season

he literally has a table saved just for him the shop

he cannot confirm nor deny that he was the one that wrote his name on the table

“hyung, pls let me drink coffee”

“no.”

seokmin feels sorry for the kid so he sneaks in an iced coffee for chan whenever he looked like he needed an energy booster

*cue chan being really energetic*

since both he and vernon are still in school, they like to study together sometimes when they’re both in the cafe

you can hear them quizzing each other from across the room bc they both have ap chem with each other
