"'s it too late," atsumu's voice is muffled and his words slurred as he speaks, face buried in your shoulder.
"mm?" you respond sleepily, not really listening to him. strong tan arms are wrapped around your middle, and you absentmindedly curl your fingers into his untoned bleached hair. he purrs at the feeling, pulling you closer to him so he can press his mouth to your neck, grinning lazily. you make a slight noise of protest as you feel his teeth against your neck, and then he bites you, really bites you, to make you shut up.
"mmh, leave the jackals, y'know? fuck 'em, i could become a hermit or a monk or somethin'."
a drowsy, surprised giggle bubbles out of you, and his smile widens in response. he likes making you laugh.
"tsumu," you say, and he realises with glee that you still have your rough, lower-than-usual, sexy morning voice. "tsumu, monks can't get married, i think. and they have to be bald."
he groans, but you're not sure which one it's in response to. switching tactics, you half-heartedly try to push him off you.
"lemme stay here," he whines. "i love you, i wanna—"
"tsumu, no," you chide him, and he quiets down like a kicked puppy. raising his head, he pulls your left hand to his lips and presses a kiss to the spot just above your wedding ring before he gets up with a sleepy yawn.
"five years into our marriage and you still don't let me sleep in," he says with a pout.
you ignore him, pausing mid-movement to admire his sculpted figure and the way his body moves as he transfers his wedding ring from his finger to the chain around his neck. when he notices you looking, a bright, boyish grin lights up his face. "can't risk losing it," he tells you, still smiling. you can't help but mirror his expression with your own giddy, lovestruck smile.
you're fixing up breakfast in the kitchen when he comes in, although he's still not dressed to leave yet. you turn to him, smiling when he nuzzles his face into yours. "baby, can i drive you t'work?"
you shake your head, hands coming up to cup his face. "you're already running late, love."
he rolls his eyes in response, angling his head to kiss your palm. "baby, best friend, love of my fuckin' life. is it such a crime to want to spend more time with you?"
"we have all the time in the world, tsumu," you say. "eat quick and go."
"not leaving the house without you," he says sulkily. "they can practice without their favourite setter for a bit."
"favourite? that's debatable," you tease, sitting down next to him with your own breakfast. atsumu kisses your knuckles again with a sly grin, ignoring your dig at him. "but i'm your favourite setter."
"you're my favourite everything," you say, and then you laugh as the red spreads across his cheeks and his nose and the tips of his ears. your breakfasts remain untouched as he leans in to kiss all over your face in a bid to distract you.
"are you flirting with me, y/n l/n?" he asks.
"maybe," you reply, still laughing.
he shuts you up with a kiss. "what if we skip work today?"
"and do what, exactly?"
"laze around, y'know. i just want to stay with you, spend some time together."
"hmm." you pretend to think, but your mind is already made up. "i dunno..."
he kisses your palm, and then your wrist. "please?"
you've never been able to resist those stupid puppy eyes, anyways.

;plot. a dinner night leaves off with a special tip.
;warnings. smut!! minors shoo! use of spanish language, the word papi does get used on this fanfic! oral sex(male receiving), squirting, sexting, car sex and a possible of public sex.
authors note// hiii! this is my first ever fanfic on this app, decided to move my work here, i do apologize if this is long.
-
tonight was team dinner, the whole team would show up with their girlfriends. now heading to the restaurant with your boyfriend, gavi, you were in the passenger seat watching over him like a baby. chatting and being touchy over small things, the two of you in love like teenagers. “i’m pretty sure things will be okay amorcito, nothing wrong at dinner.” you spoke, looking at him. “we always get teased! it’s not fair at all!” he said, gripping on the wheel. the gps now speaking about 10 minutes away from the restaurant.
after parking the car and a few make outs, you and gavi arrived at the restaurant. you both got out of the car, he held your lower back as the two of you walked inside, from a distance away you saw the team already chatting and laughing, you were glad to see mikky, frenkies girlfriend. you heard a “follow me” from the waitress, gavi held onto your waist both you and him walking to the dining area. “y/n and gavi..aren’t we surprised you two are late..” pedri joked as he chuckled, “haha very funny gonzález.” gavi rolled his eyes, you looked down slightly snickering. you walked over to take your seat in front of gavi, you smiled at him.
“aren’t just the two of you full of love..” frenkie said, you blushed heavily. you looked up at gavi, whose adam apple was bobbing out, leaning back against the chair in his white shirt. you bit your bottom lip, mikky shook your shoulder as your senses returned. “hm? what’s wrong?” you said, and she slightly laughed. “they were asking questions, that’s it..” she said, you smiled. you slightly stood up, holding onto your dress from your thighs.
“so y/n, how has gavi been..” alejandro spoke, you choked on your whine, “f-fine..he’s very lovely and just an amazing boyfriend.” you spoke, gavi smiled at you, the team letting out a few “aw’s”. fermín chuckling, “he has to be amazing at something else..” your face gets red, and gavi glares at fermín causing the table to laugh.
“i’ll be back..” you said, gavi looked at you, and you smiled before you excused yourself. you walked to the bathroom, you sighed in relief at being stuck with a horny you. you went into a stall, closed yourself inside, and being the sneakiest girl..you took pictures of your thighs. even took a video of you playing with your tits, you smiled like a kid that just stole candy. you pulled the top of your dress, opening gavis messages between you and him.
you sent a small message.
you: surprise ;)
gavi: you’re so wrong for this y/n. my god you look so fucking breathtaking..
you: i need you papi..
gavi: later.
you quickly got up, flushing the toilet and washing your hands. drying them, you opened the door walking back to the dining area, where now you’re in front of gavi. he looked at you, his eyes darker under the mix of yellow and orange aura, the two of you making eye contact. you winked at him, as he bit the inside of his cheek shaking his head, you watched a smirk form in his face.
the night was just getting started..
-
after dinner, chats and chuckles. “gavi, can i order something..” you said teasingly, you cupped your cheeks, letting your elbows rest on the table leaning in closely. you looked at him with doe eyes, he bit his lip. “anything for you amor..” he said, you smiled before sitting back properly. gavi looked at you while he was talking with balde. the boy’s eyes got darker. you waited for your dessert, still talking to mikky. “oh thank you!” you said, once your plate was in front of you. “you could share..” she said, you laughed. “girl your plate is right in front of you!” you said, she widened her eyes. “oh right sorry!” she said laughing.
you had gotten a small chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on top, a small chocolate shell covering the top. with your spoon you went straight in, gavi watched you for a few moments, and you picked up the ice cream on your spoon from the small cake, you licked the ice cream placing it in your mouth, the coldness hitting the insides of your mouth. you swirled your tongue around the spoon, swallowing the ice cream. gavi bit his bottom lip, you smirked slightly as your foot dragged up to his calf, gavi turned quiet not saying a single thing.
you quietly giggled, your leg rising upward now this being your one shot, your foot rubbed on his crotch. he groaned quietly, and you continued eating the small pastry pretending as if nothing was going on under the table. the two of you making eye contact, he watched your lips wrap around the spoon, the use of your tongue onto the silverware. his dick hardening under the fabric of his shapewear, you bit down on the utensil.
you winked at him, leg rubbing up and down against his boner. he bit down on his lip, glaring at you. you smiled one last time, setting your foot down after the minutes of crotch rubbing and teasing.
-
after long conversations and a few portions of pastries, dinner with the team was over. you were currently talking with mikky and sara, about a few plans or gossip that was interesting to you. “well, i have to get going! i’m not sure who is driving and stuff..” you said, mikky and sara both smiled at you. “well, it was nice catching up with you y/n! i’ll see you later!” mikky waved. sara hugged you, “well, good luck driving with him! i heard from the others that he drives pretty intense..” she said, and you giggled. “thank you for the warning, i’ll see you soon!” you said, she waved at you before you turned around.
gavi held your waist, “let’s go now.” he said, and you nodded.
Tumblr media
the drive is quiet, the sound of the ac being slightly high, the cold air hitting your chest as the cardigan was doing as much. you were watching the road, hoping to stay awake for as long as you could, gavis hand slowly traced to your inner thigh. you cleared your throat, holding in any explicit sounds. his fingers crossed over to your core, still driving. “no panties? my, my, my..what a sneaky ‘lil girl..” he said beginning to rub his fingers in between your wet folds, you quickly responded with a whimper.
“gavi…” you gasped out, a finger gathering up your dewiness oozing out, he spread your stickiness around your clit.
within seconds, he slipped his finger inside of your opening. just as you grew wetter, he began to finger you slowly. his fingers dragging out of you haltingly, lucid and erotic noises coming from your vocal chord. you leaned your head back against the seat, leaning your body closer to his fingers into a deeper position. he continued thrusting his fingers into your slickness, your vocals increasing. turning into small begs and moans of gavis name.
“more?” he spoke, gripping onto the wheel.
“yes, please.” you cried out, another finger being added to your filth.
you gripped onto the seat, he gripped onto the wheel tighter parking the car into an underground garage. his fingers slipping out, a whine coming out of your throat. “what! why’d you stop!” your hands in the air.
“backseat. now.” he spoke, you quickly undid your seatbelt, getting on your fours. “hey!” you yelled, his hands gripping the delight sensitive skin from your hips. his other hand coming in contact with your skin, giving it a small slap. you chewed down on your lip with the top of your teeth, another smack came in the meeting. only this time, harder.
you slapped his hand off, finally crawling to the back. your bottom sitting on the side of the passenger seat, gavi then made his way to the back. instantaneously, you crawled over to your boyfriend's lap, your dewiness damping the material of his jeans. gavi pulled you closer, throwing yourself on him. the two of you’s lips crashed down, kissing each other lustfully and desperately, a small whine leaving his lips. your hands cupping his cheeks, meanwhile your fingers in his hair curling against his scalp, his hands tightly holding your waist, fingertips scrunching your dress.
as the two of you made out, your hands carried themselves away down to the hem of his white tee. his lips parted from yours, he took his shirt off.
the sight making you bite your lip, your mouth slightly watering. gavi’s hands tightly running up your chest, eyes looking up with you, the parking lot light making his brown eyes shine with a small sparkle. “my pretty girl..take this off for me? hm?” he said, you took the white cardigan, exposing your shoulders. you pulled the straps down, letting the straps fall slowly.
your boyfriend watched the top fall off your chest, your perky tits on display. you tugged it off, with how short your height was you managed to strip the rest in front of him. slowly getting on your knees, hand rubbing his noticeable bulge, you unbuttoned his jeans pulling his bottoms down, your hands finding the waistband. Letting his cock rest against his tummy. “not just going to suck itself pretty especially with those eyes.” he said, you nodded.
your hand jerking up to his veiny length, you spat down. letting your wet coat around his heat, you wrapped your mouth around the head, he groaned loudly letting his head fall back onto the seat. you slightly snickered at how quick the contact was for him to react, within minutes you began to bobble your head slowly. he held onto the top of your head, grunting and whimpering. your tongue wandering its way around, inhaling the smell and the sweet taste of him, your eyes turning red, swelling up with tears from the base.
he pulled on your hair, pulling you away from his cock. gavi knew you couldn’t pretty much deep throat him, even after time after time of trying, you were never able to, he looked down at you. wiping off your salivation, you immediately crawled onto his lap. holding onto his shoulders for leverage, you sunk yourself down. “god,” he groaned, and you began to leap yourself onto him. your pussy dripping, slowly onto him.
his hands gripping your hips tightly, groaning and grunting. your hand holding onto his jaw, moaning uncontrollably, whimpering by the stretch of him. yours and gavis heavy breathing and panting causing the two of you to sweat after he had turned the car off.
moments later, you kissed him sloppily, whiny moaning into his mouth. the two of you sharing a desperate, sexual kiss. your fingers curling onto his jaw, immediately picking up your pace hopping onto him faster. “always riding me so good, pretty girl.” , “oh..you feel so good papi..” you moaned out, he cupped your ass cheek, guiding you through it.
you began getting tired, pushing you down. he thrusted his hips up, causing you to cry out, holding onto his shoulder. your right hand, slamming onto the window. your fingertips slightly twitching and sliding down against the glass that was slowly evaporating. you continued bouncing up most times, your hair was nearly wet, “si..si amor..” you moaned louder, the praising causing gavi to twitch inside you.
he thrusted up quicker hitting the sweet spot, causing you to gasp, you saw white in your vision. you leaned closer to him, your chest just inches away from his face. “i’m close..” you whined, your other hand gripping onto the back of his neck. he chuckled, taking his free hand, tracing it down to your clit. his fingers began rubbing above your folds, and you gasped again, mouth hanging open.
you gripped tighter onto his neck, hand smacking onto the window, leaving a print as you let yourself go.
he grabbed your waist, throwing you down onto the seat. throwing your legs onto his shoulder, your chest heaving rapidly. “god!” you cried out, his pace going quicker than he was. the car was filled with skin slapping, heavy breathing, cries, and grunts. most lastly, the following sounds of your pussy gushing.
“fuck!” you cried out, squirting out, your fluids jumping around like a waterfall. gavi pulled out, stroking himself, he moaned and grunted, before he fell down onto you. “that was..”, “amazing and.. definitely.. needed.” he said, between heavy breathing, you breathlessly laughed. you caressed his back.
“now what..” he said, and you looked down, kissing his lips. “now we share a sweaty cuddle moment!” you said. he giggled laying his head on your sticky chest.

DPXDC Enemy of my Enemy is the Worse "Excerpts" (Part 1?) I have more Ideas
Okay I kepy thinking about the prompt Enemy of my Enemy is the Worse I made LOL- (gonna post excerpts.) Probably wont fully write this.. as much as I like to right now LOL. If this inspires anyone to write, go for it.
"So now what? Going to vivisect me? Experiment? Rip my molecules apart like how my-Mr. Fenton keeps telling me." "Unfortunately, no." Agent K grumbles. "And its dissection, not-" Agent O tries to correct. "I maybe dead-but I'm not THAT dead." Danny rolled his eyes, flashing them at the two men in white. He can't believe any of this is happening. Oh he wished he listened to Jazz.. or Sam or Tuck more. He pulled at his ghost proof bindings, them having him ridiculously buried in the restraints. "Actually, Mr. Phantom, is it? I wanted to talk." Another bald man walks in, his suit notably black. Danny raised his eyebrow unimpressed, "What? Is it the Guys in Black and White now? Not that I'm against it, I'm all for equality, but it does seem a little off brand. I'm guessing the bleach bill is getting too high." Agent O was about to speak out- when the guy in black raised his hand to silence him. This guy only looked slightly amused, which gave Danny the creeps. "Of course not. That'd be ridiculous, though I'm not against inclusivity either. I'm Lex Luthor, and it is my recent interest in ghosts that had allowed the GIW to reach its full potential. " "So another annoying billionaire. Great."
"So you know of me? Perfect, then we can keep this simple. In truth, I am only interested in one ghost in particular." "We can capture him without involving ourselves with this scum-" "This GHOST has not only evaded my notice for YEARS, but has been stealing very valuable technology that would go beyond NASA's comprehension. Though I don't doubt your expertise, it has not come without notice that this particular ghost is seen the most-" Lex flicked his eyes down at Phantom. "With you." Agent K and O unrolled paper from their suits to reveal a picture of Plasmius. "The Wisconsin Ghost." - "Plasmius?!" Danny spoke same time the Agents did. Lex smirked at the Agents then down at Phantom. Danny took a moment to register what was going on before busting out laughing. "Really? What makes you think I'm buddy buddy with Plasmius? He's a total fruitloop and honestly- not surprise. He steals blueprints from my p---Dr. Fentons all the time." "You steal their items as well, if we recall." Agent K raised a brow. "Well-I- Just because- YOU USE THEIR BLUEPRINTS TOO!" "Enough. " Lex starting to sound annoyed, Danny felt like it was a win. Serves bastard right. Man did he hate billionaires. "I've observed your work in Amity Park. If I dare say you are quite similar to many of the masked vigilantes that plague this Earth. Even more heroic in my opinion." Danny was not biting at whatever trick Lex was pulling. Though he didn't miss the skip of his core at being recognized something other than a menace. 'He's lying to you.' he repeated in his head. Pulling on his bindings again to remember the real situation before him.
"That being said, I like you to do as heroes do and capture this criminal, then bring him to me." "Look, thanks for the compliment- but we both know I'm not seen as a hero. So why don't you quit the buttering 'cause I'm not interested in culinary and tell me what's in it for me. Even though I'm barely c-average on the best of days, I'm not dumb. I'm not doing this for free or just some lame you will be spared nonsense. Been there done that." Lex smirked again, "I'll grant you immunity from GIW and you can have your haunt back." "Wait? What?!" "But it took so long to capture him-" "IF you manage to capture Plasmius and bring him to me before GIW can." Danny glanced at the two agents as they puffed out their chests. Cocky. They really think they could capture Vlad? Then painfully reminded himself that they did catch him. "And if I don't agree?" "We DISSECT you and use you for very unethical and highly painful experiments that are legal on subjects like yourself." Agent K happily boast. "Riiiight." Danny clicked his tongue, "Add in that these guys are not allowed to be in a 50 miles radius from Amity and I'll do it." "No-" "Deal."
------------------------------------
Danny looped on back to the entryway as he finished swooping through every room of the manor. "Alright! Come on out Fruitloop! I know you're still here-" Just as Phantom floated down to land, he felt a hard punch in his face that sent him skidding across the room into the wall. "OOF" "Guess I should have seen that com...ming..." Danny rubbed his jaw, turning back to see who punched him. His eyes widening as he recognized the heroes he was facing. "Phantom. We're taking you into custody." "YOU CALLED THE JUSTICE LEAGUE ON ME?!" -----(Fight happens)--- Flash manages to hold Phantom, using his speeding molecules to keep Phantom from phasing through his grip. Danny gritting his teeth as the other heroes ready to capture him. Fine. If he can't phase through, he'll just phase in. Phantom uses his icy breath to freeze everything around them. Superman quickly uses his laser vision to melt the ice covering the room in mist, trying to keep themselves from being frozen. "Flash!" When the mist cleared the was no sign of him. Superman using his hearing to try and locate him- despite guarding his right side, he was kicked into the wall by Flash. Flash's eyes glowing bright green. "Well this is weird." -Proceeds to fight in Flash's body for a moment, until he gets knocked out of it. Danny's on his last legs, thinking he barely done a number on them (Not realizing he had been giving them quite a fight). Danny tries to reason again only to hear Amity Park doing great since GIW involvement. Still he isn't backing down. Even mentions Lex is backing them. He knows its only temporary peace if its really peace at all. Which he suspects is a big farce. Besides the portal still resides in Amity. GIW can't get a hold of that- portal. If he can't make them hear him out, then he'll show them why Vlad isn't just some victim. (Not realizing what Justice League may have already discovered) "Want to know why the number 2 worse billionaire is after Fruitloop?" standing up as the net placed on him burned and electrified him. It hurt so much, but he wasn't ready to quit now. Superman flew out in front of the others to block Phantom as Phantom tackled him. Phantom just uses rest of his strength to crash Superman through layers of floors til they reached the secret lab. Superman flinging Phantom into the other side of the room just as they landed, making him slam into a green tube, shattering it. The netting having dropped to the ground away from him. He coughed, shaking as a white ring dangerously popped around his waist shakily dancing, until Phantom sucked it back in. Not yet. The green ectoplasm from the tube soaking into his skin. His eyes widening as he saw what the green ectoplasm was from, jumping back with a disgust yell. He watched the clone fizzle out. "ALREADY? Really Vlad?" He shook off the creeps. "What is this?" "A Lab, du-UAHHHHHHH-" He found himself being spun around by Flash, and flung into the air where he was lassoed. Wonder Woman yanked on the rope tight, swinging him down into the opposite wall. He really was tired of being walled by them. Batman was quick to cuff him as Superman froze him in place. Danny raised a tired brow, unamused. "Are we chill now?" "No." "Thought so." ---bit more talking. Danny navigating his way through the truth of the lasso before using his wail as his last ditch effort to escape. Manages to escape through the portal as the lab collapses.

Little Bird - Part One
A/N: I am finally diving into writing a story for Feyd. Forgive me if he is ooc, but I am trying haha. This idea came when rewatching Dune Part Two almost a week ago. And i haven't been able to stop thinking about it, only to work on Benny one-shots.
Also, things may/have been changed to suit the Story, and will possibly keep changing to fit it as a whole.
This will probably be a slow written/updated story, as I want to make sure it's as good as it can be.
Do let me know what you think 😊
Tumblr media
Part One
Rabban strode heavily and with confidence into the war room, his uncle – Baron Vladimir Harkonnen – grotesquely sitting at the head of the table. The Baron looked to his nephew with a scathing look, making Rabban's step faulted for a second, yet he continued on as if nothing happened.
“Well?” Boomed the Baron's impatient voice.
Coming to stand before his uncle, Rabban looked to the man with a proud and confident demeanour. “Yes Uncle. We have successfully obtained Arrakis, and wiped out the Atreides".
The gluttonous man smiled wickedly at his nephew, his plans coming along nicely. “Good. You have done well Rabban".
In the moment Rabban felt light, the weight of delivering what was expected of him lifted. Something that seemed rare, hardly happening for him. Today he had finally showed his worth, and his Uncle had shown him he was favoured. For the Baron had given him the place he conquered. Commanding he go to Arrakis, take the spice and make the Harkonnen name mean something of greater greatness.
A dark chuckle came from the shadows off to the side of both men. Both cast their gaze to the figure that slowly stepped out, their skin pale and head bald, like the other men. But the main feature separating the three was the new comers stormy blue eyes, which shone with mischief and mayhem. His full lips housing a knowing smirk. He was the Baron’s other nephew, Feyd-Rautha.
“Brother, do tell our Uncle about the souvenir you brought back from your invasion of Arrakis" came Feyd's raspy, yet amused voice.
Rabban's jaw clenched at his brothers words, have beating him to the punch. For he had hoped to inform the Baron of his prize himself. Part of him knew that the Baron would be angry for taking what he did. Yet he could not help himself. The perfect opportunity arose and Rabban couldn’t resist taking something for himself. Even if he didn’t truly want it. It was to show his strength and power.
“What is he on about?” Demanded the Baron, eyes drawing together in agitation.
The older nephew sputtered, trying to find the words while being put on the spot. Feyd held his arms behind his back as he leisurely strolled to stand beside his Uncle. His intense gaze on Rabban. With both sets of eyes on him, Rabban was uneasy, yet did his best to not show it.
“Well!” The Baron yelled, now becoming impatient with the man before him.
Once more Rabban could not speak, only angering the Baron more. Feyd smiling joyously at his brothers lack of response, how both he and the Baron seem to effect him.
“Uncle, since Rabban is tongue tied, I will inform you" came Feyd's raspy voice. “It would seem my brother has taken the prize of Atreides niece, the one who’s mother ran away and disgraced her family".
The Baron listened to Feyd's words, staying silent. Which he took as a sign to go on.
“I will say one thing in my brothers defence" Feyd mused, walking towards Rabban. “This prize is known to be good friends of the Princess. So, having her in our hands is favourable. And if we were to join her to our house, we may gain more favour with the Princess. And ultimately her father, the Emperor”. Feyd stood by Rabban and turned to look to the Baron.
Silence fell for a few minutes. Feyd watching the gluttonous man before him. Rabban not looking to his Uncle, and uneasy by the complimentary words of his brother. And the Baron, the wheels in his head turning. But then he smirked, a deep chuckle coming from the man both nephews despised.
“We already have an in with the Emperor. For he supplied us with his own men" the Baron looked to each of his nephews, who stared at the man before them intently. “Having the princesses favour because I allowed Atreides niece to join our house, is not necessary. In fact, it would low us!”
Locked in a windowless, bland room – walls a sterile grey, basic grey and black furniture. It was some sort of holding cell, a fancier one for those who had come from wealthy and influential families. Yet the Harkonnen’s seized, contemplating if they would execute them or not. That was were you were currently waiting, and for over twenty-four hours.
You had been dragged here, after being taken from Arrakis during the take over. You recall being asleep in your room, before hearing noises from the halls. When you left your room you found the chaos. Soldiers moving about, killing all insight. Unlucky for you Rabban Harkonnen had been coming down your hall. His eyes landed on you, recognition flashing in his eyes. And that was it. Before you could run he had his large hand on your arm, dragging you away while death and destruction passed you.
Even now you were still dressed in your night dress, which had dirt and some blood on it. Your hair was a tangled mess from those that would take hold of it and drag you about, Rabban included. Your lip was also split from being backhanded when you finally spoke up. Thankfully it had clotted over, but it was still quiet sore. You were on alert, but frightened. And who wouldn’t be? Yet you thrived, navigating it while feeling everything you did.
You had to be strong from a young age. Due to your mothers choice to pick love over duty, resulting in you, you were the one to suffer for her indiscretion. All the great families looked down their nose at you from the age of seven, when your mother had gotten her foot in the door, your father’s family rising and gaining a small bit of power. It wasn’t much but it allowed you all to be seen in social circles. But many whispered, speaking ill of you all.
Great families told their children to not speak to you, leaving you out in the beginning. When you were nine did the Princess Irulan for-go what people and children said. She was kind to you, befriending you. A true friend. And for once you felt as if you didn’t have to fight to be seen. Over time your friendship influenced those around the Princess, and in turn those children were kind to you under the Princesses gaze. But as soon as she turned her back, or left, they turned their backs to you.
Your ears faintly picked up shuffling in the hallway outside your room. Followed by voices, which sounded to be in a heated exchange. Wearily you stood from the chair you’d been sitting in, refusing to sleep till you knew what was to become of you. Taking a couple steps toward the rooms door, you strained to hear what was transpiring behind your closed door.
“How could you!” A gruff, angry voice said. “She was to be mine!”
Then there was a deep chuckle. “An why would you want her? Don’t you have enough whores to keep yourself entertained?”
“I was the one to take Arrakis and wiped out the Atreides! She is my prize!” A loud bang rang out down the hall, a fist had hit a wall.
“She was taken from you because you hid her from our Uncle”.
“Which I was going to inform him of! Until you told him!”
Their voices lowered, and their words faster. You didn’t hear anything after that. With a final loud aggravated groan, followed by heavy feet stomping away from your room. Then silence. Yet you could not relax just yet, for the other person was still out there. You knew it.
When the door suddenly open did you jump. But the doorway was empty, staring out the door frame  you questioned what was going on. Then he entered the space of the door. You took a step back. Slowly, as if stalking pray, he entered the room. The door closing shut behind him. Like all that you had seen he was pale and bald, but also tall and lean. As he entered into the light of the room his face coming into full view. First you noticed his full lips, that were set in a straight line. His strong jaw and sharp cheek bones. Last it was his blue eyes, their bright blue contrast to the dark look he was giving you.
With every step closer to you, did you step back. Until you were stopped by the chair you had been sitting in. Recovering from being trapped while the man came to stand before you. You stood tall, holding your head up high. Your gaze fierce as it meets his bright blue eyes. What surprised you was the amusement shining in his eyes now. You were amusing to him.
You looked at him, really looked at him. For a Harkonnen, this man had some unearthly beauty. Yet something told you you’ve met before, though you couldn’t believe it. But those eyes, bright blue, different yet familiar. Either in this life, or a past one.
“W-who are you?” You finally asked, wanting the silence to end.
He remained silent, just watching you a little longer, before he took a step back, giving you breathing room. His hands moving to rest behind his back, as a fear enduring smile crossed his full lips, which did not reach his eyes.
“I am Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen” came his raspy, deep voice.
A chill ran down your spine, both from who he was and his voice. You had heard many stories of the man before you, stories that chill to the bone and leave no room for humanity in him. And you stood before him. But why?
“W-why are you here?” You questioned, knowing you were pushing it. And Feyd was allowing it.
“I am here to inspect what is now mine" he coolly replied, as if it was common knowledge.
You looked at him with confusion. How did you end up his, if his brother was the one to take you from Arrakis? “What about your brother?”
Feyd chuckled softly. “My brother did not inform the Baron of taking you. And as punishment you were given to me, little bird".
You remained quiet, letting his words sink in. You had been worried about being Rabban's prize. But now Feyd owning you, that was terrifying. He would either spend his time torturing you, your flesh, before killing you. Or he would make you his whore, your body servicing him in every carnal way. Neither were options you looked forward too. Though maybe the death route would be the best of the two, for it would end the soonest.
“Come now" Feyd's words broke you from your thoughts. “Surely you wish to ask more questions little bird?”
He’d already given you a nickname, one you found annoying. “S-stop with that nickname".
“Why?” He asked in amusement. “I think it suits you. Taken from the wild, only to be locked up" – he reach out to take a lock of hair in his fingers, which you pulled away from – “untamed but with time can be...”
Your gaze darkened, as you managed to move from the chair and putting more distance between the two of you. His words had truth to them, but you would not be tamed. Not by him, and not by his methods.
“You are strong" Feyd said suddenly, his face dropping so it was serious. “I remember you at the palace when we were younger. How the children from the great families looked down at you, spat insults at you. It made you strong...”
Was that a compliment? “So what?” You spat.
He chuckled once more. “I was making an observation little bird. As not once had you cried or cowered when you were taken. Nor when in this room, or in my presence. You stand tall, and do your best to remain calm. I will give you that".
You glared at him. Not for what he said, but the nickname and how sure of himself he was. You were here because of his brother, not by choice. You were here, in your nightdress and looking a fright, because of them. They didn’t even have the decency to let you freshen up.
Feyd took no time to move before you again, his hand taking a hold of your chin. Lifting your head so he could look down into your eyes. Your glare deepened at his actions, which only pleased him more. Feyd then moved his thumb to your bottom lip, the rough pad running along it. The pressure he used collided with the split in your lip, causing it to open and you to hiss. Music to Feyd's ears. Running his thumb over the blood, he moved it over your lip, back and forth till it was completely covered.
Pulling his hand back, Feyd moved the blood covered thumb to his mouth. His tongue licking the pad, collecting your blood. The metallic taste delightful. “You will be moved to a better room. I will send some women to help clean you up, before you get some needed rest. By tomorrow I should have worked it out...”
“W-worked what out?” You asked curiously. A sinking feeling in your stomach.
A twisted smile crossed Feyd's face, chilling you to the bone. “If I will kill you or make you my whore".
With those words he turned from you, and walked to the door. Once it opened, he moved from the room and once more the doors closed, leaving you alone. Leaving you wonder what just happened. You moved to the chair and sat, your mind running over all that transpired with Fayd. Then finally you understood, tomorrow would either be the day you die or the day you loose yourself.
You don’t know how long you sat there, but when the doors opened and two guards walked into the room, you knew it was time to go. Reluctantly you lifted yourself from the chair, and crossed the room to them. One guard exited first, with you following before the second guard brought up the rear. It felt like you were being marched like a criminal, but it was far from it. For as you arrived to your new room, the halls to get there were nicer but still bland. The room was larger, a couch and big bed. The walls were still grey but with this room there was a window. You could see the night of Giedi Prime.
Two bodies walking from an adjoining room caught your attention, and upon turning you were greeted to the sight of two Harkonnen women, slaves, waiting with their hands held before them and eyes down. They were pale and bald, yet thin and were quite beautiful.
“My lady" they greeted softly, scared to be loud.
“If you follow us, we have a bath being drawn for you" one of them advised.
You didn’t say a word, but cautiously crossed the room to them. They stepped aside and allowed you to enter first. The bathroom had the same grey walls and grey, and black furniture, but with a large sunken tub in the middle of the room. Another woman was filling the tub, pouring in oils and scents. It didn’t take long for it to be full, and she left her spot. She walked over to you, bowed and then left. The other two women came in, and moved to undress you. You didn’t fight them when they removed your nightdress and undergarments.
You walked into the tub, the warm water feeling good as you slowly submerged your body in it. Your muscles loved the warm water, it helping with the tension you were holding. The floral scent pleasing to your nose. One of the woman came up and asked to help with your hair, which you accepted. So there you were, relaxing in a tub of water while the slave washed your hair and detangled it. It felt so good you almost forgot where you were, and what had happened to Arrakis and your family.
“Leave me" you commanded when your hair had been seen to.
Both women bowed before scurrying out of the room, door closing behind them. There you floated, eyes cast to the dark, sterile ceiling. In this moment of relaxation did you recall your family. Your Uncle, Duke Leto Atreides. His concubine Jessica. Your Cousin Paul. And all those innocent people serving the family that had fallen at the Harkonnen hands.
For the first time in years did tears rise in your eyes, and made their escape down your cheeks. The situation you were in was not easy. Many would have crumbled as soon as seeing the soldiers, or when they were on the ship to this toxic planet. You crumbled in a tub full of pleasant smelling water, realisation of possible outcomes of fate flashing before your eyes. Tomorrow would come too quick, you just knew it.

"Hyung she's crying again!"
You hit Seungkwan on the back, quickly wipping your tears before your boyfriend sees you. Jeonghan walks to the living where you were, in contrast to your somber mood he is all smiles todaay.
"Where, let me see. Aw jagi don't hide, I wasn't going to tease you" he says as he teases you
Seungkwan shakes his head, he takes his bag before walking to the door "I'm leaving, I can't handle you two this early in the morning. Hyung we need to leave in an hour" he reminds the older one before leaving out the door.
When you hear the door click, you walk back towards Han's bedroom to help him finish packing "Is this all you're bringing?" you ask
"Were you really crying?"
"Where's your passport? toothbrush? medicine?"
"It's a few days, I'll come back"
"You should bring an extra jacket just in case, you get cold easily" you ignore your boyfriend's words, opting to do it yourself instead of answering him.
You fold the jacket and put it beside his bag, double checking everything even though you know everything's already there.
"Will you look at me? I'm leaving in an hour and you're avoiding me"
This finally got you to stop tinkering around his room and finally look at him, it's like your eyes first reaction whenever you see him nowadays is to start tearing up.
"Aw baby, why are you crying so much nowadays? Are you pregnant?" Han walks over to you, giving you a hug
"Shut up" you hit him on the shoulder, "It's just... this will be the last time you go overseas for a schedule before you know..."
"I always go though, how is that any different? I'm still here"
"It is different. When you're on tour I know where you are, I know when you're coming back. I know you're just out there living your best life. I can text you anytime and you'll call when you're free. It's fine with me because I know you're coming home"
He listens attentively to your words, patting you on the back to give some comfort. "I'll still come home, we still have some time before I go. Besides it's not like I'm not gonna be your boyfriend after I enlist"
"Don't say that!"
"With the way you're crying it's like that's what's happening" he laughs, giving you a loving kiss on top of your head.
"When I get back, let's go out. anywhere you want to go. You and me"
"Okay" you answer sadly
You feel Jeonghan take a deep breath, hugging you even tighter before speaking up again
"I'm not going anywhere, you're going to be stuck with me even after the buzzcut and bald head. They allow phones there now so I'll call you after trainings, we'll see each other on my rest days. It's like I was never gone" he promises "You won't even know I'm gone" he tells you
"I will, I'll know" you mumble, such simple words but he can feel the sadness in your voice.
Jeonghan's sad too. He might not say it out loud for your sake because he's trying to show you a strong front but he's sad, he's so used to you being one call away. Despite his very hectic schedule, you always make time for him. Sometimes he feels guilty for always making you wait for him.
"This will be the last time you wait for me, okay? After this I'm all yours" he tells you.
He don't say it outright but his words mean so much more. He don't want you to wait for him anymore and he's not talking about this schedule overseas or his enlistment.
For now he don't elaborate, for now he hugs you and kisses you goodbye. It's just a flight away, after all what matters is as long as the two of you are under the same sky and looking at the same stars.
You'll always be right there, right where he always comes back for you.

My Chocolate Factory Experience (pt 1)
The corridor was going on for ages. We’d just entered the factory and we’ve spent the first 10 minutes just walking down the corridor. All 6 of us, never had met any of them before. This was our first time meeting after being the 5 lucky winners of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory tour. As I looked down the line of boys I realised it was a good mix of very sexy men. All of them could’ve been my type.
Next to me a man called Aidan. Aidan was a rather tall guy, a bit more filled out than me, sporting a slight belly, that was pressed against his white shirt, jiggle slightly as we walked through the factory. His low cut T-shirt let the tops of his chest hair poke out that connected to a lush thick beard covering his face. His thick body and beard hair made up for the lack of on his head as he was completely bald, making his head look slightly egg like with his chubby face. From the brief conversations I’d had with him he seemed like a bit of a loser, not doing much with his life apart from getting take out and playing video games so it was no shock to him when he won his ticket. “I get a bar like everyday so to be honest wasn’t much of a shock when I opened one and it had a ticket in. I’m a sucker for these Wonka bars. Could eat them all day!” It was obvious he used to be quite good looking when he was younger, but his thinned hair and slowed metabolism made him look like a chubby loser.
Next to Aidan was an older man, Simon who was probably around 40 years old. Simon was quite chatty so was we were walking he told us a lot about his life. He worked on a farm, which made his naturally dirty look make some sense. He had a scruffy face, an untamed beard and messy hair. His outfit was no better, having several holes in it and seemed a little too snug around parts of his body. Simon said he spent a lot of the afternoon on his front deck drinking beer and eating bbq food which was evident in his figure. He had a rounded gut, thick hips and strong arms. I could picture him actually being good looking back when he was younger and more clean. But there was something quite attractive about his scruffy dad bod look. He said he was lucky to have won the competition to this factory, “I don’t eat much chcolate me” he said in a very Yorkshire accent, “but me son got me a bar and I opened it and there it was. The golden ticket. I offered it to him but he said nah. Heard stories about people coming here and changing but I don’t care. How often do you get to come somewhere like this eh?”
Next to him waddled the largest man here, Brian. Brain was a competitive eater who spent all day everyday expanding his stomach to each as much food as he could. Just by the looks of him he was probably around 300lbs. His limbs were rounded and he walked like his legs were too fat to be in this much use. He had a huge rounded gut that stuck right out and a large chest that sat on top of them. He covered his body the best he could with oversized clothes but I think he just wore them so he had some growing room today. He had a very round head and thick long brown hair. He had put his hair in a bun but I could tell it was very well looked after. Brian didn’t speak much to us all as he was huffing and puffing just walking down the long corridor let alone talking. We all knew how he got the ticket anyway it was obvious.
To my other side was my personal favourite guest on the tour, Jamie. To me Jamie was the sexiest one there.
His body was one of a man that seemed so strong and well built with a few hints of his greedy side. His arms were thick and his legs were so strong. Even his chest seemed to be pumped just by looking through his shirt. His stomach didn’t resemble abs however, to my delight he had a very sexy rounded stomach. It pushed against his top and every so often I’d look down to catch a glance. Hi stomach wasn’t the only thick thing about him however. He had the cutest and most perfect fat ass. It was so perfectly rounded and filled his jeans to the point they were slightly stretched. Oh the things I would do to this man. Jamie described his surprise when he won the ticket to the factory. “I hardly ever eat sweet stuff” I call bullshit “but the one day I do decide to reward my self with a chocolate bar I win a ticket! Must be the universe telling me something!” I think his blissful ignorance of his greedy habits was cute.
Then there’s me, Declan, a tall skinny guy, with messy brown hair and a defined face. There was nothing special about me compared to my bigger companions. I had a sprinkling of hair on my chest that lead down to my skinny hairy stomach. If anything I was too skinny and longed to be a bit bigger. I wasn’t skinny due to lack of trying. Infact the reason I even got to the factory was during one of my feeding sessions. “I had a friend over and we had ordered food for the evening and we were still hungry and I got the chocolate bar and won!” I couldn’t tell the group from the get go that I was with a feeder who was desperately trying to plump me up. Once I won the ticket however he encouraged me to go. Just like Simons son he had heard rumours of this factory changing people and I was here to explore what exactly would happen to us boys.
We were now approaching the end of the corridor and came to a grand brown door. Wonka, who had been very silent on our trip down the corridor, turned his head and looked at us all. “This my dear friends is possible the best room in the factory.” Wonka turned the keys in the doorway and placed his hand on handle. “This is my chocolate meadow.” Wonka pushed the door forward and a bright light blinded us all. Once our eyes adjusted we saw the most beautiful place. It was a huge room, with the brightest green grass and lush bushes and flowers. The outer wall was filled with large trees and that swirled upwards. There was something almost not real about it. It all seemed slightly fake. Past the opening of the meadow we saw the river. The river was chocolate. The thick river rushed through the scene and filled the air with its chocolatey goodness. “This room is just any old meadow my friends no. Everything in this room is edible. The grass the dirt the trees everything. I recommend you try everything. You’ll never get a chance like this again.” I heard a round of bellies rumbling. I looked down the line. Brian had his mouth wide open, almost drooling. Simon and Aidan were pointing and things in the room saying “I’m having that first!” “No way I’m gonna scoff that.” “Well then? What are you waiting for boys? Fill your bellies!” Wonka shouted as he moved into the room. With these words we all jumped forward and made our way into the room. I don’t think I’d ever see Brian run but his fat ass ran so fast towards the largest cherry bush there was. Aidan and Simon ran straight into the woods, grabbing on branches and low hanging fruits. I followed Jamie to the edge of the forest where he had sat him self down by a cluster of mushrooms. I watched as he picked one up and it burst with thick cream. He licked his hand and ate the whole thing in one. “Omg you’ve got to try this man!” He said his mouth still filled with cream. I sat next to him and grabbed one and started eating it. Oh he was so right it was so thick and rich and buttery and light. I’d never tasted anything like it.
I looked over at Brian and saw that he had eaten his way through the base of a tree and it had fallen into the meadow. He was going to town eating the whole trunk of the tree. “I’ve never seen anyone eat so much in my life” I said, kinda in shock, kind of impressed by how quickly Brian had devoured nearly a whole tree.
“I don’t know. Some days I get like that” Jamie said as he started grabbing handfuls of dirt. “I just get so hungry nothing can fill me up. Why I’ve still got this” he pats his belly and then gives it a little shake. My eyes are fixated on his gut now. Blood was rushing through my body. The thought of filling Jamie up, growing him large as he can’t control his urge to eat.
“Don’t think there’s any need to get rid of it though. It suits you. In fact it really looks hot on you” I say unable to hold back my urges.
“Ya think so?” Jamie says now lifting his shirt up. His stomach was rolled over the top of his jeans. His hairy belly was perfectly rounded and sat so cutely on his lap. I don’t think I’d ever seen a more perfect person to fatten up.
“Oh that gut is perfect” I say in response. I pry my eyes away to see Jamie smirking. I reach over to a mushroom and pick it off the ground. I bring it to his mouth and watch as he licks my hand clear of the cream. He pays extra attention to the tips of my fingers, sucking every last drop of the thick cream.
Jamie reaches out and grabs a handful of chocolatey dirt. “Your turn” he says almost threateningly. My heart skips. I let him push his hand against my lips and I open my mouth to allow for his fingers to enter. I lick every little bit of the dirt off his hand. In this moment it was common knowledge that we were both into this and we wanted to see where this could go.
Just then as we begin to lean closer to each other, we heard a huge splash. We both look over at the river bank. We don’t see anyone but the ripples on the surface of the river. We get up and run to the bank and see a chocolate covered Brian flapping around in the river. He is covered head to toe in thick chocolate. He was gasping for air everytime he came up, each gasp filling his mouth with more chocolate. Me and Jamie watched in shock as he kept flapping around. I was so interesting now to see what would happen to this hog. This is why I came here.
Wonka slowly approached us and looked into the river. “Oh dear oh dear. Belly too big he rolled right in there. I knew this hog would cause some issues” Wonka mocked the fat man. As the three of us kept on watching the man desperately try and get above the chocolate we noticed something was changing.
“Is he..?” Jamie starts.
“Getting fatter? Why yes my dear boy he is.” Brian was most definitely growing wider by the second. His oversized clothes had very much seen better days. His belly was expanding at such a rapid speed it struggled to keep up. It moved from the base of his belly up to his belly button and now moving upwards towards his huge chest. I’d never seen a man this fat before and I’ve seen a lot of fat men. “My chocolate is the smoothest and richest in the business and that is due to its high fat content. That’s why a lot of my customers have a bit of a gut going on” Wonka pokes Jamie’s slightly extended belly. He turns red in his cheeks. “However the volume in which our friend here is consuming my chocolate well let’s just say he’s going to be quite the whale when we get him out.” We carry on watching as the seams to Brains clothes start to stretch and rip. His wide hips are the first to break through, his soft fat bushing through and busting his trousers right off, exposing his monstrously huge legs. His jumper, which was too big for the man about 10 minutes ago, was no ripping as his chest got too big to contain. His huge moobs wobbled free as his jumper fell to shreds into the river. His belly was getting so wide he took up a lot of the surface of the river. “I think it’s time we let this fatty rest don’t you? Put up the dam!” Wonka shouts into the room. Just then about 10 very sexy and well build men come out of the woods and start working on constructing a damn at the top of the river.
“Where did they come from?” I ask looking around me to see if any more of these sexy men will come out to save the whale.
“These are my workers. I’ve hired men in the peak most form of human capability as it takes a lot of work to run my factory. And a lot of work to take care of you greedy boys huh?” Wonka jokes giving us both a nudge. I can see a glint of fear in Jamie’s eyes as he realises that we might not make it out this factory the same size we came in.
After a while the dam left the river running dry and all that was left was Brain at the bottom, probably 10x the size he was when he arrived. Brian was laid in his back, covered in chocolate. His naked body looked like a pile of melted chocolate ice cream. He was the fattest man I’d ever seen. His hairy gut and chest stuck upwards like huge globs of fat, yet also spread so far out he was probably wider then he is taller. His limbs so huge we could hardly see them. His head was just a little pin compared to his huge body. We heard his groaning as he tried to push him self up. “There’s no use fat ass” Wonka shouted to him. “You're too much of a  lard arse to move your self now. I’ll get my workers to come and move your huge body.” The workers made their way down the river bank and into the bottom of it. We watched as the circled Brian’s huge body. The comparison in size from the immaculately shaped workers and the glob of fat that was Brian was insane. “Right then we should probably leave them to deal with the hog. Should we carry on or do you guys want to carry on- wait. There were 5 of you. Where are the other 2?”
New story series starting! Hope you guys enjoy this one. I’m trying something that I haven’t seen anyone done yet (not really this part probs part 2/3 is where it gets new) so stay tuned to see how our greedy boys end up!

Just Like Glass
CW: slight body horror (disfigurement/amputation)
(This is also quite a long post, so bear that in mind)

Notes: THIS IS MY FIRST WRITTEN THING EVER I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH WRITING - This is somewhat based of Land Of The Lustrous/Houseki No Kuni because I have been SO hyperfixated on that, and also inspired by this image that I have found on Pinterest:

If you know who originally made this picture please let me know Ok back to the fanfic-

It'd been a while since Glass Joe would get to fight against another boxer, having been injured pretty badly in his previous fight against Bald Bull. The Turkish boxer had managed to do quite a number on him, so much so that the Frenchman's personal doctor was worried some damage would be more permanent than the usual brain damage or broken ribs. Luckily, Great Tiger offered to help, to speed up the healing process if it meant Glass Joe could get another turn in the ring faster. How kind of him. Now Glass Joe's in high spirits, not just because he's not in pain from his former injuries. The Administrator has just informed him that his next fight is only tomorrow, and it's against Disco Kid of all boxers. The happy-go-lucky boxer from Brooklyn is the only other fighter with a negative win-to-loss ratio, so Glass Joe was hoping he'd be able to snag another win from this next fight. It won't fix the ninety-nine losses, but he figured he had to start small to work his way up.
"I'm telling you, mon vieux, I'll be able to improve my win to loss ratio eventually!" The Frenchman exclaimed, explaining his plan to Von Kaiser as the two walk down the hall. "I may never make it a positive one, of course, but it'll be better than just one!"
Von Kaiser could visibly see the pep in Glass Joe's step, as he stomps next to him in his usual stiff and tense walk. "...I must say, Mein Freund, I admire your dedication. You've been doing this for... how long now?" "Hmm... around twenty years, if I'm not mistaken." "Really now?" Von Kaiser paused, his eyes narrowing for a moment as he attempted to do the maths in his head. "...I've been here around twenty-two years. I will admit, I'm surprised time has flown by so quickly." "It really is a wonder, non?" The Frenchman remarked, as the two finally make it to the WVBA's lobby. "Perhaps we can reminisce over a lovely coffee and croissant from the local café? My treat, mon amour!" This is met with a stern sigh and weary chuckle from the German boxer, Von Kaiser moving one of his hands out from behind his back to pinch the bridge of his nose. "You always find a way to twist my hand into taking you to that café, don't you?" He scoffs, though his tone is more of a joke than an actual show of annoyance. "...Fine. Let's go."
Luckily, the weather is perfect for a small walk to the cafe - The sun is bright, the clouds adorn the sky in many odd shapes, and there isn't a drop of rain in sight. The two older boxers walk out of the lobby to the WVBA, Von Kaiser reaching for the stairs' railing and holding onto it with one hand tightly. "Remember to actually use the handrails, Joe." He speaks up sternly, glancing back at the Frenchman as he begins to descend the concrete stairs. "I don't want you undoing the work Great Tiger has done to heal you." "Oui, oui, I know..." Came the dejected reply, as Glass Joe reaches for the handrail and begins using it to get down the stairs as well. "...It feels like you tell me to use the handrails every time- wuh-woah!" Of course, Joe being clumsy ol' Joe, he somehow manages to lose his footing, missing a step and grabbing onto the handrail to catch himself. The sharp sound of glass breaking cuts through the air, stunning Von Kaiser into silence for a moment. Glass Joe can see Von Kaiser tense up from the sudden noise, the German boxer's grip on the handrail nearly denting the metal pole as Von Kaiser attempts to calm himself down. Once he recovers enough to begin breathing normally again, he sighs with a disgruntled scoff as he glances back at Glass Joe. "D-Did you somehow manage to break your little compact mirror again?" "...Non, it wouldn't have been that loud.. Maybe Aran broke one of the windows back inside." "But the noise came from here." "...You're right, maybe-" Glass Joe begins to talk, but the second he stops looking around for the source of the noise, and looks down at his foot, the one that missed the step, he goes silent. His foot has somehow shattered into pieces, the translucent, glass-like shards reflecting the sunlight as they lay on the stairs. The impact has reduced Glass Joe's right foot to nothing but a jagged stump, the two men staring down in horror at the gemstone-like shards now scattered across the ground. "M-Mon dieu.." "..Oh mein gott."

Mrs. "Let Me Sleep"
Tumblr media
She was exhausted. He was exhausted. But she also knew that a little conversation with Pool, would always result in a night of pizza and movies.
-------------------------------------------------------
English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes.
-------------------------------------------------------
In an active building, some lights were still on. But one in the morning was just too much for the girl in apartment 45. Her lights were already off, and the window was closed. Bedtime was the best part of the day for a hero. There was nothing better than letting the mind rest after an unexpected mission.
The cozy pillow kept the unwanted cold at bay. The bed was just the right amount of soft. The fabric felt comfortable against her skin.
(S/N) had nothing to complain about that night. It was a normal day, just like any other. Coming home after college and casually saving the world as if it were a regular routine. Her eyes were closing, finally drifting off after a long day of work. The day was finally over, and she was finally enjoying some peace and quiet.
— Man, today was tough. - The voice behind her said, almost at a normal volume. No whispering or lowering his voice to avoid waking her. Just speaking in his usual tone.
The bed shifted, causing her to open her eyes. Wade was sitting on the bed, taking off the shoes of his suit.Glancing back, he noticed her open eye.
— Oh, sunshine. Did I wake you? I thought you were already asleep.
— I was almost there, Wade. - (S/N) replied in a humorless tone, giving him a less-than-friendly look.
Deadpool chuckled, snuggling closer as she turned her back to him again. — Sorry, love. You know I can be pretty loud sometimes. - He said in a playful tone. She was almost certain there was a smile behind her.
— Wade. It’s one in the morning. My day was packed. Can we please sleep?
—So was mine. But I really wanted to end it with my girlfriend... - Wade said, nuzzling her neck as his hand roamed over her waist, pulling her closer.
— If you see her, could you let her know?
— Go take a shower, Wilson. You're lying on my sheets in a suit covered in blood. - She complained, though her body stayed in place.
— I swear there's no blood this time. I mean, not mine, anyway. But that jerk deserved it. Can you believe he shot me with my gun?! The golden one?!
— Mm-hmm... - She murmured, starting to close her eyes again. The dirty suit in her bed, compared to how sleepy she was, wasn’t a big deal anymore.
— And he used up all my bullets because I left my bag in the taxi for the tenth time. The guy used my bullets on me! - Deadpool rambled on, like he was being interviewed on Jimmy Fallon, not lying in bed with his partner who was on the verge of passing out.
Not that (S/N) didn’t enjoy it. On the contrary, Wade's stories were often the highlight of her day. Too good to waste sometimes. But it was already late.
— ... And I still shot him in the head!... And that’s when Captain America showed up and said I couldn’t join the Avengers unless I brought a goat with me, because apparently, Thanos’s weakness is warm goat milk?
...
No response.
— Oh, damn. I’ll go take a shower already. - He said, starting to get up, which made his beloved pull his arm closer. He was covered in blood and needed to clean up. But losing the warmth of his body while (S/N) tried to fall asleep was the worst-case scenario on a cold day.
— No... Keep going... - She murmured, her voice barely audible.
— Keep going? - Wade laughed under his mask. — Sweetheart, I’m being ignored like a bald guy watching a shampoo commercial.
This made her laugh, finally starting to wake up. — Sorry, love. It’s been a long day, and I didn’t think you’d be back tonight.
— You know that when I’m not coming back, I call, cupcake. - He responded more affectionately, cuddling up with (S/N) again.
— You left your phone at home.
— ... No, I didn’t. I’m sure I took it with me. - He tried to recall, a bit confused.
— Love, you took the Hello Kitty work phone.
— ...Damn.
— I didn’t want to call. You might get shot in the head because of me or lose an arm.
— Then we’d have a lovely baby hand ready to be reborn.
She laughed, giving him a light slap on the arm. — But I promise next time I’ll leave it in the taxi. Did you eat anything?
— I ordered tacos.
— You ordered tacos without me?! - Wade said indignantly, immediately sitting up, forcing her to turn around.
— How could you?! What about our taco and dumb movie Saturdays?!
(S/N) laughed, looking at him. — I’m kidding, Pool. I ordered a pizza. It's on the table. There are still five slices left.
He took a deep breath, calming down. — Damn, (S/N). That was worse than thinking the mother of my seven kids was cheating on me with some Italian mobster who’s a thousand times hotter and richer.
— You know that would never happen. - She confirmed, as if it were necessary, rubbing her foot against her boyfriend’s suit. — I would never have seven kids.
Come on, you didn’t deny the mobster part. Holy crap, his name’s Giuseppe, isn’t it? - He asked, like a husband who just discovered an affair.
— Who the hell is Giuseppe?! - (S/N) laughed, now fully awake.
— The mobster you made up in your head?! - Pool looked at her, laughing in exhaustion. The conversation was good, light, and relaxing. But the day had been exhausting.
— Should I go take that shower or not?
— Go on. You’re still staining the bed. - She answered in the same mix of laughter and weariness. — Then maybe we can watch something.
—Watch something? - He asked, heading to the bathroom. — Where’s the ‘Let Me Sleep’ lady who was just talking to me? Weren’t you about to pass out?
— I was. - She said, looking at Wade seriously. He quickly understood. Of course, he’d wiped out all the sleep from her body after talking like a radio host. — But you took it all away.
— You know I could do that in other ways, right? - Wilson said in the most suggestive tone he could find, leaning down towards her with his fists on the bed.
— Go take that shower, Wilson! - She laughed, hitting his shoulder with a pillow as he laughed, heading to the bathroom. — I know you love this side of me, cupcake!
(S/N) smiled shyly, relaxing her body on the bed. — In your dreams, Wade Wilson!

Twilight- Youngest Shadow: Chapter Three, Crash It
(Alice X Reader X Jasper)
Tumblr media
[two] [three] [four]
Today was the day of my 6th Volleyball game out of 14. It’s a Home game.
Every single game has been attended by Jacob, Quil and Embry. Sometimes Sam and Billy. Bella made it to about two. Clearly needing to do her own thing I understood. If I didn’t understand a sport I wouldn’t want to go either.
She makes me sit with her at lunch still, I got kind of close with Angela. She’s cool. She also comes to games but that’s to take pictures, helping with the yearbook committee.
Bella and I walk out of the house together. I see my bike is gone and remembered I had to give it to Jacob for maintenance. Since he offered I was getting it done for free.
It’s also raining so I’m kind of glad I don’t have to choice to ride it. Sometimes the rain drops hurt like a bitch. I lift my hood up, walking behind Bella as we go down the steps. “Great.” She mutters under her breath.
Charlie pulls in with her truck. “Dad I can drive us to school myself.” As we get closer to the bottomed step she slips and falls on her ass. Tripping due to not watching where I was going I go forward.
“You okay, Bells? [Name]?” Charlie climbs out of the truck, helping Bella up and then the both help me. I ripped a new pair of jeans, hissing in pain from my hands I wipe it on my sweater that’s not so new. Luckily I didn’t bleed at all. “Ice doesn’t help the uncoordinated.” Bella frowns at her own joke.
“Clearly.” I groan.
“That’s why I got you new tires.” Charlie points to the red truck. “The other ones were nearly bald.”
“You got me new tires. No one’s ever don’t that before.” Both Charlie and I look at her confused. “I mean… nothing.”
He glances at me, not getting it but he heads to his cruiser.
“I won’t make it to dinner or the game. I’m heading down to Mason County. A security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal.” He explains to us.
“An animal?” Bella asks, confused.
“You’re not in Phoenix anymore, honey. They’ve been hunting it for a week with no luck. Thought I’d lend a hand.” He puts it simply. “Be careful.” We say in unison.
“Always am.”
“And thank you for the tires.”
I’d thought by now they wouldn’t be so awkward with each other but I am very wrong. The tension is so thick it couldn’t even be cut with a knife.
Change of pov
Rain was still hitting hard. Eric and Bella walk together into Biology. She brushes off her coat as he talks. “And yeah, prom committee is a chick thing, but I gotta cover it for the paper anyway and they need a guy to help choose the music. So I need your playlist.” Eric explains but before the girl can respond Mike comes up behind her. “Come on, Arizone. Give it up for the rain.” He shakes his wet baseball cap onto Bella’s head.
“Terrific.” She walks away, ignoring them to get to her seat.
She freezes once she notices Edward. She straightens her posture, striding to the shared table confidently. Dropping her books in front of him, ready to address him but instead he looks up at her and speaks.
“Hello.”
She stops, automatically stunned. “I didn’t have a chance to introduce myself last week. My name is Edward Cullen.”
She’s too shocked to respond, she wasn’t expecting him to talk to her. “You’re Bella.” He stares, not questioning.
“I’m… yes.” She finally sits, feeling stupid.
He abruptly moves to the edge of his seat away from her. She’s baffled to say the least, smelling her hair as if she stinks.
“Onion root tip cells! That’s what’s on your slides. Separate and label them into the phases of mitosis. The first partners to get it right win the golden onion!” Mr. Molina holds up a gold spray painted onion but disappointed by the little to no reaction.
“Come on people, tick tock.”
Everyone gets to work. Edward pushes the microscope towards Bella, still keeping a distance.
“Ladies first.” She grabs it defensively and snaps the first slide in, adjusting the lens. “You’ve been gone.”
“Out of town. Personal reasons.” He was curt like her, short with his answers.
“Prophase.” She says, going to remove the slide. “May I look?” She slides the scope to him, he looks into it. “Prophase.”
“Like I said.”
He writes it down on the work sheet. He takes a deep breath, turning to her. “Enjoying the rain?”
“Seriously? You’re asking me about the weather?” She seems offended. “It appears.”
“No, unlike my sister I don’t like the cold, or the wet. Or the grey. Or the parkas. Or the turtlenecks.”
There was a small smile that played on his lips.
He actually seemed interested in what she had to say. He studies her like her sister did to him days ago. But she can’t tell if he despises her or not. “What?”
He shakes his head and turns to the microscope, switching out the slides. She continues to stare at him, appreciating his evident beauty. His cheekbones to his lips.
“Anaphase.” She snaps out of her daze to go back to giving a dry look.
“May I?” She mocks him for before, looking into the lens.
“Anaphase.”
“Like I said.”
They change the slide.
“If you hate the cold and rain, why move to the wettest place in the continental U.S.?” He quizzes her.
“It’s complicated.” Simple answer, but he’s intrigued so he pushes.
“I think I can keep up.” She looks at him quickly then looking away back at the scope. He seems to be paying attention very intently.
“My mother remarried.” Another simple response.
“Very complex. So you don’t like him.” A statement, he doesn’t question himself.
“Phil is fine. Young for her but nice enough.” She tells. “Interphase.”
At the end of school she’s still holding the golden onion. She bumps into Edward on accident. “Why didn’t you stay with your mom and step dad? Or your sister?” He waits patiently for her to say something, studying her like before.
“Alright, Phil’s a minor league baseball player, so he travels a lot. My mother stayed home with me and [Name] but it made her unhappy. And my sister has always been a daddy’s girl. So I decided to spend time with my father too.” She explains everything. “But now you’re unhappy.” He states himself again.
“No I… I just.” She turns away, embarrassed.
Back to You
At the end of the day I stood beside Angela and Jessica. Since our game was today I don’t see a point in going all the way home just to come back to the school.
I watch my sister head for her truck, shivering. Once she got there she looked back, making little eye contact with me and then staring at the Cullens. More specifically, Edward? I think that’s his name if I’m remembering correctly.
Their eyes met then there was a loud screech only getting louder by the second. A van skids out of control, heading right for my older sister.
I felt frozen for a second, running over there immediately. The van comes to a complete stop after spinning out. Like something forcefully stopped it. I didn’t see anything as it had happened so fast. The van had only hit the back of the truck, leaving a dent that was definitely noticeable to the eye.
After milliseconds everyone went berserk, roaring into screams of trying to get help, calling 911.
Mike and Eric yell if she’s okay, I watched Edward who was once at his Volvo now leaving the scene. Wanting to ask him what happened I shake my head, pushing the two boys out of my way. “Bells, Bella?!” I cried out, falling down to her level, feeling the pain in my knees from earlier but ignoring it. I took her into my arms as she was obviously in shock.
I ended up driving her and the boy who crashed into her, Tyler a ride to the hospital.
I told him to shut up on our way there. Even sitting in the room as they got checked up on I sat there glaring at him.
Minutes later, Charlie rushes in. “Bells, are you alright?“
“I’m fine dad, calm down.” She assures gun but it’s not enough. “I’m so sorry Bella. I tried to stop.” Tyler apologizes.
“It’s okay Tyler.” Bella tells him and I scoff. “It sure as hell is not okay.” Charlie says, I nod agreeing. “Dad it’s not his fault.”
“We nearly lost you.”
“But you didn’t.” She says, I pull her into a hug since Dad is glaring at Tyler like I once was. You can kiss your license goodbye.” He sternly tells the boy and I watch his body falter.
I notice Dr. Cullen approach us and if I didn’t know anything I would’ve thought he was a movie star. I didn’t pay Trenton to what they were talking about. I focused on his face, observing him as he talked. Just like I did with his foster kids. Then I heard Tyler apologizing once again, since I was closest I closed the curtain getting a fist bump from my dad.
“It would’ve been a lot worse if Edward hadn’t knocked me out of the way.” Bella says ignoring dad and I’s antics.
“Edward? Your boy?” Charlie asks only to not get a response.
Dr. Cullen adverts his eyes, I watch Bella press. I’m guessing she knew something that was making him uncomfortable. “It was amazing he got to me so fast. He was nowhere near me.”
The blonde man smiles.
“As long as you’re safe.”
We leave the treatment area. “I just have to sign some paperwork. You better call your mom.” He points to Bella.
“You told her?! She’s probably freaking out!” He just shrugs and walks off.
She pulls her phone out and I laugh, earning an eye roll. Then we both look down the hall, hearing an argument. “Stay here.” She orders as if I was so much younger than her. She gets a little closer to whatever was happening.
Not meaning to but the curiosity getting the best of me I do the same thing.
“This isn’t about you. It’s about all of us.” It was Rosalie. I raise an eyebrow but Dr. Cullen definitely saw Bella, taking Rosalie inside his office.
I sit for a moment, but I see Bella talking to Edward so I just walk the other way, pulling out my phone as I felt it vibrating.
It’s Jacob calling, shit.
I answered it quickly. I forgot all about my Volleyball game that’s in… 35 minutes.
“Hello?” I spoke to,
“Hey, where are you? Are you okay? I heard something about an accident with you and Bella?” He freaks out, i why shush him trying to calm him down.
“Hey, everything is fine. No damage was done. Bella was apart if it but no scratches, just a bump on the head. I’m sorry I should’ve called.” I told him, hugging my self with my open arm.
“Oh, I’m glad you’re both okay, I’m glad shes okay.” He sighs like he had just been holding in a long breath.
“Yeah, yeah. Everything is good. I’m just going to keep watch on Bella for a little. Could you let my coach know what happened. I’m sure she knows but y’know?”
“Totally understand, I will let her know. Call me later tonight?” He sounded hopeful and I smile to myself.
“Of course, I’ll call around 9.” I say
“Can’t wait…”
“Knock it off.”
I was going to ask what he meant by that but I hear the other guys in the background and I laugh.
I hung up, not seeing Bella come up to me, she grabbed my shoulder causing me to jump and almost drop my phone.
“Who was that?”
“Jacob. He asked if we were okay since he went to my game as usual. Seeing I wasn’t there freaked him out.” I take a deep breath through my nose.
“I completely forgot about that. We can still make it.” She says in a hurried tone but I shake my head.
“Coach wouldn’t let me play anyway. There’s no point.” I laugh, putting a hand on her arm.
“I’m sorry.” She frowns.
“No need, you should call mom though.”
She whines to herself, pulling her phone out again.
Charlie walks out and we go outside. I drove the truck home.
Later that night I call Jacob like I told him I would. He tells me about the game since they stayed due to Quil wanting to.
“It would’ve been a better game with you for sure.” He says and I could hear the smile.
“I know, I’m just so amazing.” I brag, playing with my tongue piercing as I hear his laugh.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have boasted your ego.”
“What ego?” I jokingly say.
I look over to my clock, seeing the time and it was already 11:30.
I was surprised Charlie hadn’t come and told me to go to bed.
“Ah, we should go to bed.” I start to say, I heard a small thump from Bella’s room upstairs and I stood up carefully strutting towards the door.
“[Name]?” Jacob calls, I snap out of whatever trance I was in. Not hearing anything else from Bella’s room so I go back to my bed.
“Sorry I got distracted. Goodnight, Jake.” My voice was a little raspy from being tired.
“Goodnight.” He ends up hanging up the phone and I lay back in my bed.
Thinking about everything that happened today.
Chapter three, edited.

Silk from their soul (23)
The Ghoul / Cooper Howard x f!reader [no use of y/n]
Rated: T Words: 1.3k Summary: Mad science
Series Masterlist My Masterlist
Tumblr media
They find you the next morning with your head in Cooper’s lap. He’s lightly stroking your hair and neck while you blink sleepily at the man at the door.
“Travis?”
The man makes a curt sign and you sit up. You don’t recognize him - an older man wearing a giant pair of headphones.
Cooper rises first and puts a hand out to help you up. Your feet are still tied to the pillar behind you but he’s free to take a step in front of you and square up.
“Oh for fuck’s sake,” you mutter to yourself before putting a restraining hand on his shoulder.
He glances back at you. “You wanna try that whole talking bit again first?”
“More flies with honey,” you tell him and he rolls his eyes.
“Now I already told you that ain’t true.”
You ignore the comment and smile at the new man. “Hi! I’m… well that’s not important really. And you are?”
The man ignores you and a moment later his aroma hits, making you gag. “Oh God.”
“I ain’t got much of a working sniffer but even I can tell you that fella’s just two shits short of a dung heap.”
He whispers the words to you, kinda, and you elbow him hard. “Be nice.”
“You’re barking up the wrong tree for that, sweetheart.”
“Ella!”
You freeze, mouth suddenly going dry. You never expected to hear that voice again - had hoped you never would. At least not while you were still at his mercy.
“Dr. Galen.”
“Ella, you naughty thing, how did you get into this mess?” He looks the same as he always did - bald, a foot shorter than you, and maybe a hundred pounds soaking wet. His glasses are too big for his pinched face and he waves a hand at the room before glaring at you over them. “I raised you better than this.”
Cooper glances at him before focusing his attention on you. “He from that facility you were telling me about?”
You nod, too tongue tied for a moment to speak. Finally, you ask, “What are you doing here?”
“Why, I’ve come to fetch you. Your new own- husband has been worried sick. As a favor I told him I would help look, seeing as how I know you so well.”
Which meant he’d been coerced into it. Galen never left the facility. Not in all the time you’ve known him. Bargains were made through the door, through intermediaries if possible. Had Nero invaded the facility? You’re not brave enough to ask.
“An odd choice in protector,” Galen tuts, sparing a look at Cooper, “I would have thought you’d find someone more amenable to your charms. Like the gentlemen out here.”
You’d forgotten about the three men. You rather hoped they were still alive - they weren’t terrible. Just… bounty hunters.
“Why does he think I’m not amenable to your charms?”
You could kiss him for completely ignoring Galen. It was annoying the other man to no end. Cooper is talking too low to be heard, but that doesn’t seem to matter.
“He means you’re not… not irradiated.”
“Does he think our cocks stop working just ‘cause we get a bit a sunburn?”
The comment makes you giggle and he gives you a grin. His absolute nonchalance is giving you some courage and you lift your chin as you ask Galen, “So what’s next?”
“We’ll take you to the Stateline. I believe there is some discussion of reward but you know how much I abhor talk of money.”
“Except when you were selling my sisters,” you mumble. The man with headphones and reeking of week old fish steps into the room, a gun pointed straight at you. You hold your bound hands up and elbow for Cooper to do the same. He does, begrudgingly, and even takes a step away so the man can cut the rope binding your feet.
When you head for the door Galen holds up a hand. “Just you, the necrotic can stay here.”
“The fuck I-”
It’s your turn to step between them, giving Galen your brightest smile. Your charms don’t work on him at all, he’d made sure of that, but that didn’t mean you didn’t have any tricks up your sleeve.
“Now Dr. Galen, you told me I must always be fair and kind to others. Mister…” you hesitate, unsure if Cooper would want you telling people his name, “this necrotic man has helped me get back safely to the Stateline. It wouldn’t be right to leave him here. I believe he is only looking for work.”
“Just an honest day’s wage,” Cooper drawls unconvincingly.
Galen glares for a moment before giving you a patronizing shake of his head. “You are too soft, my girl. Always were. I knew I was right to keep you for so long.”
You keep your eyes blank, your smile pasted on. Let him think whatever he wants. The only chance you have of this not being a one-way trip is if Cooper comes with you.
“Want me to kill him for you?” Cooper asks a moment later, after Galen had curtly nodded and left the doorway, his voice pitched low enough only you can hear. You try to stop the laugh that wants to burst out and dart a glance back at him.
“Think you could?”
“Simpler than taking a piss.”
“He’s got bodyguards,” you point out as you walk past them back into the other room. The three bounty hunters are standing together, looking pissed off. Galen has a group of about a half dozen with him, all of them wearing headphones and stinking to high heaven.
“Now sweetheart, I thought you had more faith in me than that.”
You turn your attention to the first bodyguard, taking a deep breath and preparing to work your charms. But the man barely spares you a glance and even as you open your mouth he turns away and makes a signal at one of the others.
Oh.
Oh shit. Galen had come prepared. These men couldn’t hear you, couldn’t be convinced by you. And your pheromones weren’t going to be worth anything either if they couldn’t smell them over their own B.O.
Suddenly you were doubly glad to have Cooper at your back.
“You still wanna go through with this?” he asks, eyes roving the room. He’s looking for weak spots, planning an escape.
“If I don’t then Galen goes back to making more people like me, more clones. It doesn’t seem right.”
He scoffs, snorting almost into your ear. “Why don’t you shit in one hand and wait for what’s right in the other - we’ll see what fills up faster.”
“I don’t think that’s how that saying goes.”
“Hey, look at me.” You turn, stopping so abruptly he nearly runs into you. The guards are clearing out the rooms and Galen is talking quietly to one in the corner. For the moment, it’s just the two of you. “You don’t owe nobody a damn thing. You want to get out of here, you just give the word.”
God, you could kiss him. But even as his words sink in you know it’s not obligation that is making you go back. “It’s what’s right.”
“And I suppose you’re going to want to talk these fellas round to that way of thinking?”
He looks so put out you have to stifle a laugh. “Oh no, Galen deserves worse than death for what he’s done. The rest of these guys… I’ll let you decide.”
The grin that covers his face is downright evil. “Me? Darlin’, you shouldn’t have.” He takes in the room, fingers twitching. “Now?”
“No, we should probably get Nero too.”
“You seem pretty damn confident I can take out a whole hive of raiders all by my lonesome.”
Batting your eyelashes you give him your most innocent look. “Can’t you?”

i have a Ted logan request! it’s kinda inspired by the tutor piece you wrote but instead of being Ted’s tutor she’s Deacons tutor (or babysitter) instead and she comes over to the Logan household and Ted sees her there and is immediately head over heels for her and is constantly trying to find an excuse to go to whatever room she’s in and stay there much to the annoyance of Deacon and their father on occasion
sorry if i got to specific but you’re my fav Ted Logan writer and I’m happy his requests are open!!!
young as we are
summary: you're deacon logan's new babysitter. it doesn't seem like it'll be anything too special -- until you meet his cute older brother, that is. (gn!reader)
wordcount: 3.8k
A/N: okay so I might've changed around the prompt a teensy bit, but hopefully it still fits what you wanted. i'm no good at writing slow stuff so i got kinda impatient lmao (also. i'm?? your favorite?? you have no idea how genuinely happy that makes me. i'm smiling like an idiot. thank you so much.)
Tumblr media
You checked the note you'd written the address down on to make sure you hadn't gotten the wrong house -- okay, all good -- before ringing the doorbell.
The house itself was pretty nice, just looking at the exterior. One of the perks of babysitting in a somewhat well-off area like this one was that you usually got paid decently for your troubles; and it wasn't nearly as bad as working retail, if the stories you'd heard from your friends were anything to go off of. And kids could be sweet, unlike food service customers.
It was only half a minute before the door was answered by a balding middle-aged man with a stern expression. Mr. Logan, you presumed; it was probably his voice you'd heard on the phone.
"You must be the babysitter," he stated directly, not giving you time to answer, "come in, then. I have some things I have to inform you of." He didn't wait, disappearing into the house and leaving the door ajar behind him. Feeling slightly awkward, you followed.
Once you entered the foyer, he began speaking again. "Deacon's probably in his room right now. He has to be in bed by nine P.M., and he knows that, but I don't doubt that without me being present he'll try to stay up." Indicating some bills on the counter, he continued, "there's some money for a pizza. The number to call is on the refrigerator. Dinner should be at six."
"Oh, and my … eldest son, Ted." If it was even possible, his tone became more snide. "He should be back in an hour or two. Don't let him bother you at all -- if he gets too annoying, just let me know when I get back later in the evening, and I'll deal with him."
You barely got out an "uh, okay, thanks" before Mr. Logan was yelling for Deacon.
He was maybe around twelve, you guessed. It was obvious that he was reluctant to come downstairs, but did so after a look from his father. You smiled at him, but he didn't return it; you didn't really mind. He was at that awkward age, after all. And if your instincts were correct, an overbearing father could inflict a number on any kid.
It wasn't that you weren't familiar with strict parents -- but it was near-impossible to get entirely used to them. Being in charge of their children meant that you had to be extra careful. You couldn't trust a young kid to not tell on you if you were a little lenient when it came to bedtimes, and you couldn't trust an older kid to not try and put the fact that you were more easy-going than their parents to the test.
Still, once Mr. Logan had left, you immediately relaxed.
And so did Deacon, by the looks of it, because suddenly his tense demeanor all but disappeared.
It was almost frightening how abruptly he turned his attention from his father's car pulling down the driveway to you.
"You ever watched RoboCop?"
He asked, with a certain bluntness only preteen boys were capable of.
"No, I haven't." Encouragingly, you smiled again. "What's that?"
"I have the tape," and already he was turning away, "gimmie a sec."
You had the sneaking suspicion that his father didn't have the same enthusiasm for science fiction movies.
And you were right; even during the movie he spoke up now and then to tell you stuff about the characters or the plot. About how "RoboCop could probably take down an entire army by himself". You thought it was kind of spooky how the titular protagonist was a reanimated guy forced to follow cyborg programming to uphold "justice" in an already-corrupt city, disregarding any humanity he once had.
… Or something like that. Deacon just found the guy "badass".
By the time that you'd nearly reached the ending of the movie, you were invested.
But not too invested to not look up when the front door opened, and thus you made eye contact with probably the prettiest guy you'd seen in a while.
He froze midway through his path to the stairs.
For a moment, both of you just looked at each other. He looked familiar.
Oh, yeah, you'd seen him at school a couple times. Passed by him in the hallways or in the cafeteria, maybe. You hadn't really noticed him before, but maybe that was because you hadn't gotten a good look at him. Like now.
And then Deacon took notice, coughing in an awfully non-subtle way into his fist, and you realized that maybe you shouldn't stare like a creep.
"Uh, you must be Ted, right?" You laughed semi-awkwardly. "Hi. I'm just gonna be babysitting Deacon until your dad gets home."
Hopefully you remembered his name correctly. From the way his father had said it, you had expected him to be some flavor of delinquent -- piercings, leather jacket, all that stuff that an uptight man like Mr. Logan would disprove of. A high school dropout who was bumming around in his dad's basement without a source of stable income.
That couldn't be further from the truth; the Ted you were seeing now was a slightly gangly, floppy-haired boy your age who was looking at you like he'd seen an angel.
It took him a moment, but he nodded vigorously in response to your question.
"Yes. Yeah. I'm -- that's me." Ted glanced away, finally breaking away your gaze. "Um. What's your name? I - … I don't think we've been introduced before, dude." Even from your position on the couch, you could pick out spots of rose pink on his cheeks. Even as he focused determinedly on the ground.
You couldn't help but be hopelessly endeared, so you gave him your name.
He gently repeated it once, as if trying out how it felt on his tongue. "Oh. Radical."
There was another brief moment, in which the movie still playing on the boxy television faded into the background. Then, his eyes were back on yours; they were a warm brown, you noticed.
Apparently, Deacon had enough of his older brother interrupting his sacred movie, because he spoke up again, breaking the silence. "Ted, don't you have stuff to do?"
You wanted to reprimand Deacon for his less-than-polite tone, but didn't have the chance, because Ted responded first.
"Oh." Seemingly snapping back to reality, he glanced away. "Yeah. Sorry 'bout that."
Before you could tell him that you were going to order food later, he'd bounded up the stairs, taking them two at a time. You heard the far-off shutting of a door; and then a little later, muffled music that had a lot of distorted electric guitar and drums.
Deacon scoffed to himself, but settled further into the couch cushions.
You didn't see Ted again that night. He didn't even come downstairs to snatch a slice of pepperoni pizza, and just remained in his room. Maybe he didn't want to bother his little brother anymore, you thought, trying your hardest not to feel disappointed; even if you'd barely had any sort of conversation with him, there was something … Something very magnetic.
Mr. Logan was back at around eleven, and by that time you were seated by the television once more. Alone, because you'd miraculously managed to get Deacon to go to bed.
"I'm guessing everything went fine," remarked Mr. Logan, taking off his cap. You were beginning to get used to his clipped tone, and shut off the terrible sitcom you'd been killing time with.
"Yeah, I left the change for the food on the counter."
He pulled out his wallet, counting out crisp bills.
"Did Ted give you any trouble?"
Taking the money, you made sure it was the correct amount -- why'd you even bother, a man like Mr. Logan must've been specific about everything. "No, not at all. He barely said anything to me, actually."
He only gave you a noncommittal hum in response to that, not even looking in your direction as he headed for the counter; probably to make sure you weren't stealing any of the change. "Well, good night."
It wasn't a thank you -- not even close, but you'd take it. You'd been paid, after all.  "Good night."
Ted's face upon seeing you still was fresh in your mind as you made your way home. And during the next several days that passed. It wasn't surprising, really. Nobody had ever looked at you like that; nobody had ever looked in awe of you on sight. At least, not anybody that had really caught your attention.
Eventually, Mr. Logan called again. Apparently he had another work thing to do -- not that you were listening closely when he mentioned it. Your heart jumped at another opportunity to see Ted; it was a little embarrassing, really. You weren't some boy-crazed lunatic, pining after a guy you barely knew.
Well, pining was a strong word. But you did pay extra attention when walking around at school, trying to catch a glimpse of him on your way to your classes.
(You didn't.)
This time, your pulse picked up when you walked up to the house. You even hesitated before you rang the doorbell again. But when you did, you heard some general commotion from within the house before Deacon answered the door, looking a little annoyed.
"Hi," he said, "Dad's getting ready or whatever."
He stepped aside to let you in. "I thought Ted was gonna answer the door. But he ran off as soon as he heard the doorbell." Sighing, he flopped down on the couch. "Lazy ass."
As if on cue, Mr. Logan entered the living room, fixing his hat. You idly wondered if he wore it to hide the fact that he basically lacked all of his hair except for on the sides and back.
"Deacon, watch your language."
"Sorry." Even though his voice was muffled into the cushions, he didn't sound apologetic in the slightest.
Mr. Logan turned his attention to you. "You don't need a refresher on anything, right." It sounded more like an order than a question, but you chose to look past it. At least he had offered to jog your memory if needed. The bare minimum was nice sometimes.
"Yeah, I'll be fine."
He gave you a curt nod. It wasn't until you heard the garage door shutting behind his car that Deacon sat bolt upright, suddenly energized.
You looked at him expectantly.
"Let's watch Ghostbusters," he declared. "Dad thinks it's stupid."
And so, with little fanfare, you were basically doing the same thing as last time. But instead of dystopia, the setting was mildly less disturbing this time. And the main protagonists were human and likable. No offense to cyborg cops, but he didn't offer much in the way of personality -- so nobody could blame you.
You were sure you'd seen this movie before, but the memory was vague enough that most of the events were new to you. However, even though you were focused on watching the film, there was something else on the back of your mind. An underlying antsiness; and you had a good idea why.
Said antsiness was confirmed when, about half an hour into the movie, you heard footsteps coming down the stairs. It took all of your willpower not to look, but you knew who it was.
It was only until he breached your peripheral vision that you allowed yourself to smile.
"Hey, Ted."
Today, he was wearing all loose clothes -- a baggy tee shirt with BLACK SABBATH printed on it in slightly distorted purple font, and what looked like sleep shorts. All in all, it made him look very soft. Like he was planning to do nothing but lay in bed for the entire day. Even his hair was kind of mussed up, a curl or two (or three) sticking out from the rest.
He returned your smile tenfold with a near-blinding grin. "Hey."
Deacon, unlike you, didn't have to hide anything.
"Are you just gonna stand there and stare at the babysitter?"
Delightfully, Ted flushed, hand flying up to fiddle with his hair. "Uh. No. I was just wondering if I could -- " he hesitated, before continuing, "if I could watch the movie too, y'know. I think Ghostbusters is a totally exceptional example of cinema." You didn't catch the way Deacon narrowed his eyes at his older brother.
"Okay. Just don't interrupt too much."
" 'Course."
You were mildly startled when Ted sat down in the middle of you and Deacon -- you'd expected him to sit on the other side, but apparently that wasn't the case. The younger Logan let out an audible sigh and scooted further away.
True to his word, Ted didn't speak up for the majority of the movie. But you were aware of his presence in a way that was almost comparable; since you were mere inches apart. He didn't sit still, and adjusted his position every so often, but you had the feeling that was the norm since Deacon didn't mention it.
However, it seemed by the near-ending Ted reached his limit on not making at least one comment.
"Dude. I forgot how impressive the special effects are," he mused in his best attempt at a hushed tone. "Must've taken them ages to do this stuff."
"Yeah," you agreed, glancing over, "it's pretty cool. Slimer really gives me the creeps."
Ted opened his mouth to respond, but shut up when a loud "shhh!" came from Deacon's general direction.
For a moment, you and him just looked at each other. Then, not able to stifle it in time, you snorted; he lapsed into a fit of giggles, and as a result of that so did you. It wasn't really your fault -- his laugh was very contagious, even muffled like this.
Somehow, you managed to get through the rest of the movie without much more incident. Even if your heart lurched every time Ted's arm or leg accidentally brushed up against yours with the way he was fidgeting.
By the time it was over, it was around six, and so you called to order a pizza. Ted didn't retreat back upstairs, much to Deacon's disappointment, and pretty much hovered around you as you all waited for dinner to arrive. Not in a weird way, not at all -- he just resembled a puppy trying to get attention, really.
"What'd you think of the movie?" He asked, just after you'd gotten off the phone with the pizza place.
"It was pretty good," you hummed, putting down the receiver. "A couple moments were slow, but overall I enjoyed it. What's not to like about some guys capturing ghosts and defeating otherworldly entities?"
"An excellent way to phrase it," grinned Ted, "and I agree most wholeheartedly. The ghost-buster dudes are impossible not to root for."
You chatted a little more about it with him; his way of talking was a bit unique, but somehow you found it just as attractive as everything else. Sadly, your conversation was cut short by the doorbell. As soon as you'd taken a single step in the direction of the door --
" -- I'll get that!" declared Ted, with an enthusiasm that was a little frightening, already moving to grab the pizza.
"Hey, wait, there's money on the counter!"
"... Oh."
Backtracking, he grabbed the cash and resumed his course to the door, covering the distance with long strides.
It wasn't long before the food was gone; and you unceremoniously stuffed the ripped-apart cardboard box into the recycling bin like last time, hoping Mr. Logan wouldn't take issue with how you'd basically just jammed it in. After Deacon had wolfed down maybe three slices, he'd disappeared somewhere. Probably to his room -- you  reminded him to be in bed in time, lest Mr. Logan stop letting you babysit, and he'd only replied with a dull "okay".
You were practically alone with Ted now.
"So, uh." He broke the silence as soon as you returned to the living room. "... Wanna go upstairs? There's not much to do down here 'sides watching more movies."
"I don't see why not," you said without thinking.
For a second, he looked caught off-guard just as much as you were, (seriously, what) but recovered quickly. "Cool. C'mon, dude."
Beaming, he motioned to you, and you were helpless to do anything but follow.
His room was a bit messy, but you would've found it strange if it wasn't. Posters were all over the walls, Metallica and Van Halen and other assorted bands and movies. In the corner was a shelf filled to the brim with various memorabilia; action figures, guitar picks, markers and books that looked kind of dusty. His laundry bin was overflowing a little, but at least it was confined to another corner. Everything was just so Ted and that was probably the best way to describe it.
He made his way over to the window, opening it just a crack. "Let's just keep the window open so we can hear Dad pulling in the driveway. His car is super loud -- I think he'd go ballistic if you were hanging out with me."
You knew he was right, but it still struck a minor chord on your heartstrings -- which you attempted to move past as fast as possible. "Oh, yeah. Good thinking."
At your compliment, he was all smiles again.
You felt yourself melt a little, and sat on the bed before your knees gave out or something.
Before long, you were both sprawled out on the carpet playing a serious game of Uno. For a guy who you were learning wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box, he was pretty good at making you question your own abilities; either that or he was just extremely, ridiculously lucky. He did have an awful poker face, after all.
He snickered every time he drew a plus four or plus two card, and blanched whenever he didn't have a playable card. Which was cute, but also pretty advantageous for you.
After a frustratingly long time of going back and forth; of him denying you every single time you dared call Uno, you finally won.
"Dude!" Ted exclaimed, throwing down his hand as if deeply and truly offended, but you could see that he was grinning again. "That was totally 'cause I let my guard down."
"I don't know," you teased, "or maybe it was because of my great and unbeatable card-game skills."
He hung his head in mock-shame. "You're right. I suck."
You were conflicted between bullying him a little more or comforting him to lessen the blow of your victory, but before you could decide, you both heard the tell-tale sound of tires crunching on the pavement and the whir of the garage door opening. Ted scrambled over to the window, peeking through the small opening he'd left earlier.
"He's back," he announced, turning back to face you.
"Okay," you said, getting to your feet and making sure you hadn't dropped anything. "See you later, Ted."
" 'Bye!" He called after you.
Thankfully, you managed to make it down to the living room, jump onto the couch, and fumble for the remote just in time to turn on the television a good minute before Mr. Logan entered. During that brief time, you felt strangely like you were a spy, a double-agent -- that if you were caught fraternizing with the enemy, you'd be given grave consequences.
It was hilarious, you had to admit.
Mr. Logan didn't ask you about Ted this time, just cutting right to the chase and taking out his wallet.
"Is the change on the counter again?"
"Yeah," you answered, giving him a "thanks" as he handed you a couple bills. You marveled again at how clean they were -- it almost felt criminal to stuff them in your pocket, but what else could you do?
Once more, Mr. Logan turned away, going for the counter. "Good night." If he was as disinterested as he sounded, it was no wonder why he didn't try to make small talk with you at all. And you were grateful for it; you were sure that it'd just be awkward and nothing else. You rushed a little to leave.
But just as your hand turned the doorknob, you were stopped in your tracks by a shout.
"Wait!"
Apparently, you and Mr. Logan were both equally shocked, because he also whipped around mid-action.
In Ted's hasty descent down the stairs, he nearly tripped over himself, but regained what little composure he'd been holding onto, and jogged over to you. Either he didn't notice his father standing there, looking utterly baffled; or he just didn't care. In his hands he was holding a cassette tape.
He held it out to you, still catching his breath. The color in his cheeks could be attributed to his rush downstairs, but you had a sneaking suspicion that wasn't entirely the case. "Here. Sorry. I was gonna give it to you earlier," bashfulness showed clearly in his expression, "but I forgot."
It was only a second before you realized that you'd have to exit the situation to avoid any questions from his father -- whose eyes were darting between the two of you in an extremely worrying manner. So you took it from him, even whilst having absolutely no idea what it was.
"Thanks."
And with that, you were out the door.
--
The second you got home, you got a good look at the tape.
On the outside, written in an untidy scrawl in black Sharpie, was your answer. It was a mixtape. How much time had he spent making this for you? Your mind conjured up an image of him sitting by the record player you'd seen in his room, painstakingly selecting his favorite songs to record.
Flipping it over, you realized there was a scrap of paper taped to it -- a note.
You hardly had to think about the question hastily written on it with a bright pink marker, with little stars doodled around the edges.
It was the only thing that was running through your mind for the rest of the night. They were agonizing, the few days that passed before you finally received a call from Mr. Logan again. It was probably the only time ever that you were glad to hear his voice.
Deacon was a little disappointed when you told him to wait a minute to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark.
"Don't start loudly making out or anything," he said, sulking as you quickly ascended the stairs. You wanted to scold him for the sake of preserving your own dignity, but you had more pressing matters to focus on at the moment.
"So," Ted began sheepishly, after you entered his room. "You got my note, right?"
"I listened to the tape, too," you answered near-breathlessly. "Yes. I'd love to spend more time with you, Ted." You smiled broadly. "You're really sweet, you know that?"
He went bright red in response.
And then ducked behind his bangs.
It took him a little while to speak, but you were patient.
" … thanks, dude. I'm really glad," he finally murmured. "I spent ages making that tape, but it wasn't until I was gonna give it to you that I realized that. Like. Just hanging out like this wasn't gonna be enough. At all."
Right now, the main emotion your brain was registering was giddiness.
"I'm really glad, too."

thank you for replying
that’s so Interesting you thought they’d mention it, may I ask how or why? It seemed left of field for many. I don’t think either has ever mentioned it before, and almost shied away from it in festa 2020.
You have such a beautiful way with words, and I agree the whole episode was so beautiful, just them enjoying the small things, walking for a cup of coffee or food, the train, a museum. It’s all so wonderfully normal. Just two guys in their 20s, happy with each other and their love.
I don’t want the show to end, it’s going to be so hard to let it go. But, knowing they are toggle right now, that their plan worked, they have each other even in this most difficult time, it’s beautiful. Like the red string of fate.
I just had a hunch. This is Japan, a very special place for them, and they knew they would enlist together, so I thought they would be more relaxed and open. I believed that if there would be a time to talk about children, even in brief passing (I didn't expect them to have a deep talk about it either or anything) that would be the right moment. Because this trip is a pocket outside of time, outside of daily life, and thus it can make you think about the important stuff more than usual.
The way the had the discussion in the restaurant also shows this. They talked freely about their feelings on certain events from the past, that's something we don't get to see *that* often because there is a time and a space to have these discussions, certain parameters, that this particular environnement provided.
When you are with your SO in such a romantic place, and you really care about spending time with them, it opens space for some deeper reflections, it's like going the extra step because this moment is important to you.
I don't expect them to have these types of discussions in every episode (but maybe they will surprise me again?)
But even them playing the songs in the car, Jimin singing "standing next to you", this trip really is about them and their relationship.
So I think we'll get other *moments* that speak volume of their connexion and how they care about it.
I don't want it to end either, but thinking they are together right now, making fun of each other's bald heads, and supporting each other makes my mind at ease.
I also believe after military we're gonna get at least another season of AYS, don't know when, but I suspect now they started they won't be able to stop lol so that gives me hope.

I Have Died Before, I Can Die Again
Prologue
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Reader (18+) Summary: A car accident leaves you with amnesia and forced recruitment into the CIA. A new assignment places you into the BAU. Content Warnings: Car Accident, Amnesia, Hospitalisation, abduction, forced labor
The rain fell on my windscreen like hundreds of little bullet casings and thunder rumbled in the distance. I had turned down the radio until it was a low murmur as I sat at a 4 way intersection, waiting for the traffic light to turn green. The scene before me felt like a dream, or maybe a nightmare, as there were no cars in either direction, except for one black car behind me with tinted windows and an 18 wheeler to my right.  After an eternity, the light flicked to green and I put my car into drive. I heard the blare of the horn from the car behind me, I glanced into the rear view mirror to see what this prick’s deal is, when I felt the 18 wheeler slam into my car. And the world faded into black.
.
.
.
.
When I tried to open my eyes; the world was bleary and the noise was so far away. My head felt wet from my scalp all the way down to my neck and the collar of my shirt. I saw several figures crowding my crushed car, but I could not make out their faces or their clothes. I opened my mouth to talk when a dark mist fell across my eyes and I was pulled back into nothing.
.
.
.
.
I opened my eyes to bright white. I was laying on my back, there was beeping from a heart machine nearby. The wetness from the side of my head was gone but instead I felt the dried, crusty residue in the corner of my eye and my mouth. I could feel that my clothes were also gone, instead placed by a thin papery gown. I tried to speak or even raise my arms, but my arms felt like concrete and my voice was lost in my throat. Two shapes appeared in the vision, obscuring the large light directly above me, their distant voices shushing me, I couldn’t understand what they were saying. As my vision cleared, I recognised the surgical uniform. My brain slowly processed their words, the people above me said, “You were in an accident, just let the pain medication do its job. We need to place you under anesthetic as we work to tackle the internal bleeding. Please do not struggle. You will hurt yourself further.” I slipped back into unconsciousness.
.
.
.
.
When I awoke again, I was in a sterile, white room. The heart monitor next to me beeped in rhythm and my entire body felt weighed down. I blinked to clear the blurriness from my eyes. I recognised a hospital room. There were no windows in this room. Just a door. An oxygen mask covered my face. I tried to recall what happened. I could not. I remember looking up to the faces of the surgeons on the operating table but I could not remember anymore. What did they say? I was in an accident? Why could I not remember the accident? I heard the heart monitor spike as my panic set in. What happened to me? Where was I? WHO was I?
The door to the room opened and in walked a man I didn’t recognise. He wore a beige suit, a plain white shirt and a brown tie. He was bald with a round face and an overweight build. “Hello there. I am Mr. Monroe.” He announced as he closed the door. He had no identifiable accent.
I groggily dragged my hand up the scratchy hospital blanket placed on me to pull off the mask. “Where am I? Who am I?” My voice broke and I truly felt how dry my mouth was.
“Ah.” He said, plainly. “The doctors told me you might have some amnesia. Brain injury, you see, from your little accident. Nasty business that was. We lost you for a moment on the table, but luck was on my side and you pulled through.” He smiled, his eyes creased.
I waited, hoping he would tell me who I am. And he both did and didn’t. “As for the question of who you are is unimportant right now. You may get your memory, you might not. But from now on, you are my little protégé. I will come to collect you once you are well enough to be discharged. I shall explain more then.” He limped back to the door and pulled it open. “Oh, and welcome to the CIA.”
.
.
.
.
True to his word, Mr. Monroe came to collect me as I was discharged. The accident left me with 4 broken ribs, fractures in both my legs, and a fractured vertebrae. Oh, and a brain injury, of course. The only memory I was able to recall again was the accident and it was the only one I didn’t want. I could remember nothing before that time.  I laid in the hospital for several weeks, trying my best to remember but it was like staring at the blank white walls that surrounded me. Nothing. I was given physical therapy so I could walk again. A metal plate was also placed in my legs.
I was hoping during the weeks while I was laid in that hospital bed that someone would tell me my name but no one did. Anytime I tried to ask I was told the same thing, “You will remember it one day.” I was my own John Doe. Mr. Monroe brought a travel bag for clothes for me. I opened the bag in the room I had been laying in for the past several weeks, eager to leave before I went mad, and inside was a plain white shirt and loose gray sweatpants, white socks, white underwear, plain white sneakers. No name brands. No brands at all. All the tags and labels had been removed. I followed Mr. Monroe to a car parked inside an underground parking lot. It was an all black car, with black tinted windows. I stopped walking at the sight of it. It looked a lot like the car that was behind me at the accident. Mr. Monroe took notice of me stopping and turned around. “What’s the matter, kid? You look like you have seen a ghost.” He stepped closer to me, as two, tall men in black suits, black ties, white shirts and black aviators, stepped out of the driver and passenger seats. They both stood stoic, arms by their sides.
“I-” I stuttered “What about my family and friends? Wouldn’t they be worried about me? I’ve been gone for weeks.” I tried to reason, I had no ideas if I even had any friends or family.
Mr. Monroe’s face pulled into a blank slate but his eyes showed a silent command that I was to silence myself. “We are your family.” He said calmly as he brought down his onto my shoulder hard, which triggered a sudden pain from my fractured ribs. I groaned and doubled over, clutching my sides. “And as your family, you will join us in the car to discuss your service and your training.”
Panic bubbled into my throat as I slowly nodded. Accepting my fate, I walked with Mr. Monroe digging his fingers into my shoulder as he guided me to the car, that the driver opened for me and I was pushed onto the seat as the man in black opened the door for Mr. Monroe to sit next to me. The car pulled out of the parking space and drove away.

Characters: Danny Fenton, Harriet Chin, GIW (mentioned a lot) Tags: Identity Reveal, Flashbacks, Runaway Danny Fenton, Angst WC: 1788 Summary: When the GIW revealed Danny to the world, the only thing he could do was run. Run and run and run until he escaped to Chicago, trying desperately to disappear. Too bad it didn't work.
****
Warm light washed over the room, draping his figure in its yellows and oranges. From the monitors, Danny could see how the olive undertones in his skin seemed to be at home in the welcoming backlight. Still, it didn’t stop the sweat from trickling down his neck as the halo of lights slow-roasted him from every angle.
It was to humanize him, reporter Harriet Chin had explained from her seat, watching as a sound engineer fastened the lapel microphone to his shirt. They wanted to make him feel like anyone’s next-door neighbor. Not a scary ghost, just a victim of an unfortunate legal system.
An unfortunate legal system, Danny had internally repeated, fighting the urge to rub the raised lines under his button-up shirt. That was one way to put it.
But right now, he just felt hot, and he didn’t much like heat. He could feel his body reacting in kind, burning deep from the fried nerves fighting to repair themselves inside him. Just as they had been doing for the past…
…how long?
“Here,” Harriet Chin said, her words ripping through his discomfort. She turned the tablet around to face him.
Too keenly aware of the cameras surrounding him and the lapel mic recording his every breath, he fitted as neutral of an expression on his face as he could as he looked down at the screen.
A face he knew too well stared back at him. It was a man, his senior, with a square jaw and high cheekbones. His strong nose sloped downward at the point, and his forehead was smooth, blending impeccably into his bald scalp. In one ear was a hooked earpiece with a curly wire jutting out from behind.
Old school, of course. Danny remembered when the wire went out of fashion for the new Bluetooth earpieces.
Very little changed in there, after all.
Harriet hit play, and the man began speaking. “Our goal was to uncover who the kid had been. If we could understand that, then we would know his human past, what makes him tick, and most importantly, why he became the ghost he is today.”
The camera cut to an older woman with pale skin and poofy gold hair that curled up at the end. Deep lines creased her face, and pale pink lipstick brushed her lips, adding an almost hint of youth to her wise demeanor.
“And what did you find? In that conquest?” the woman asked.
The camera cut back to the square-jawed man. He sat there in a moment of what was supposed to be read as contemplative silence, though Danny knew just how rehearsed it was in reality. Then after his onerous pause, he sighed, shook his head, and said, “What we found was something so disturbing, it made us question our own reality.”
Danny felt his jaw set. He could have mouthed along to the following words; they were so deeply carved into the trunk of his memories. But he suppressed the urge, just as he suppressed the way his pulse quickened and the prickling heat on his skin intensified.
But he remembered. By god, he remembered. He didn’t even need to close his eyes to be brought back to that moment, back to that day.
Harriet paused the video, but Danny didn’t take his eyes off the screen. Off the man—no, off Operative O.

12:00:00
Danny tugged on his hood, hoping it covered the bulk of his hair. Under the table, his leg bounced, his anxiety refusing to let his body obey his pleas to act natural, just act natural.
He didn’t know where he was, not exactly. He hadn’t been paying attention to the road signs as he flew. More than likely, he wouldn’t have been able to read them anyway—not with the world so blurry around him.
All he knew was that he was far away from Amity Park. And hopefully, he was deep enough into the rural country to become completely unrecognizable.
But of course, no one would recognize him here. The only houses around were so run down that Danny would be shocked if any of their residents owned cable. Sure, the diner had a few small televisions on, but the few scraggly patrons around either had their noses shoved into their newspapers, or their eyes were keyed onto the fuzzy television playing today’s football game. No one cared about him, the tired, skinny-looking kid.
“You decided yet?” a voice above him said, nearly sending him flying from his booth.
Danny balled his clammy fingers into a fist and tried to awkwardly smooth out the menu paper he’d crinkled.
Act natural, act natural.
He risked a glance up to see a pale, stocky woman with bright red curls tied loosely into a bun. The blue apron tied around her waist sported ketchup stains that Danny was sure were at least a week old.
But he could hardly judge, with how he must have looked to all of them.
On the other television mounted on the wall behind her, the silent commercial break ended to reveal the top of a news segment.
His mouth dried. Should he make a break for it? Surely, they would run the Anti-Ecto laws segment at the top, wouldn’t they? But if they got a national news station here, wouldn’t that mean the employees and regulars of this diner would be able to recognize him?
He must have frozen for too long because the woman's disinterested face was beginning to morph in a way that Danny didn’t like.
He blurted out, “Uh, are you still serving breakfast?”
“We serve breakfast all day, hun,” she said.
He knew that. It was at the top of the menu. Great, now she probably thought he was strange and illiterate.
Wonderful.
The familiarity of his internal sarcastic quips managed to shave off just enough stress for Danny to give what he hoped wasn’t a grimace as he said, “I’ll have the blueberry pancakes, thanks.”
She nodded at him, then turned back into the kitchen. Danny tracked her eyes, but she hadn’t looked up at the news.
Not that his face was on it. Yet.
Maybe he should leave. Not even risk it. Focus on finding somewhere to sleep tonight.
But no, he was safe. No one was looking at the news. The goddamn football game was on. Nobody cared about some stupid Anti-Ecto laws or the stupid Guys in White.
“Sacked!” one of the men huddled on the stool in front of the football television shouted.
Another, bigger man joined in the groans with, “He shoulda run!”
“It’s the offense. They’re all shit,” the first man said. Danny wondered if his wiry, overgrown mustache itched or if he’d simply gotten used to it. “Not a single goddamn person open! Shit, I’m tellin’ ya!”
“S’why he shoulda just run instead of lookin’ for an open guy,” the bigger man said.
They could have been speaking ancient Ghost Speak for all Danny knew, but so long as their attention was focused on that television and not the other, muted one, then Danny would be okay.
The woman rounded the counter again, this time holding a tray with a plastic cup full of water and a coffee. She set both down in front of Danny, who reached for the coffee with greedy hands. It burned at his touch, but he was too thankful to care.
“Figured you might want it,” the woman said. “With you traveling and all.”
Danny must have flinched because she immediately amended, “It’s just that I don’t recognize your face, is all. I don’t mean to pry into personal business.”
“Oh—I—” Danny swallowed. What was his rehearsed cover, again? “I’m going to see my cousin.”
She peered down at him, her eyes narrowing. “Your cousin’s out here?”
Behind her, the TV playing the news began their headline report, and Danny’s stomach plummeted to the floor.
Act natural.
His adrenaline was quickly taking over, and he had almost forgotten the question before he blurted out, “Chicago.”
However, her suspicion didn’t melt off her face like Danny envisioned it would. “Hm, okay.”
“I just got hungry,” Danny said.
The TV was now showing his face. Both of his faces.
Maybe she noticed how all the blood seemed to drain from his cheeks, or the way he kept glancing behind her, because she started to tilt her head back when Danny blurted out, “And, you know, diners in the middle of nowhere always have the best food.”
The screen cut, replacing his faces with the faces of Operative O and a reporter. Her lips were moving, but the black captions appeared a few seconds later. “What was your goal with all of this?”
“Are you trying to butter me up?” the waitress asked.
Danny ripped his eyes from the screen. For a second, he forgot again what they were talking about. Then he remembered he was trying to stall until the segment ended, and nerves hit him like a tropical storm all over again.
“Only for the free coffee,” he answered.
“Free coffee, huh? Well, I think I can bargain for that just this one time. It’s not often we get visitors, you know.”
Her voice may have been sugar, but Danny could still see how her eyes swept over him, pausing over every scruff in his hoodie.
Ancients, he must have looked like a right mess.
He glanced back at the screen to see Operative O saying, “What we found was something so disturbing, it made us question our own reality.”
What they found…about him? What a bunch of psychopaths.
Psychopaths that can end you, he reminded himself.
But he didn’t need that kind of optimism right now, so he tried to focus back on the waitress, but what were they talking about again? Something about…coffee?
“We discovered a ghost who had taken the body of a dead child and was using him like a doll. And no one knew. Not family, not friends. No one.”
Danny’s eyes bore craters in the TV. Though no sound was playing, Operative O’s tone was powerful, and nothing if not crystal clear.
And the message was cruel.
The screen cut back to Danny. Both of Danny, with Operative O’s lingering captions stamped below. And the real Danny, the one who was sitting in the booth, stood.
What else was there to do, anyway? After Operative O had told the whole world that Phantom was an evil ghost using a dead kid like a meat puppet for its own sick satisfaction?
“I just realized I forgot my wallet,” Danny muttered uselessly. He slipped past the waitress, and she let him go.
After all, she’d turned around. She’d seen the screen.
