my top 10 Vidia's moments

1: Vidia sacrificing her own life for Tinkerbell 2: Vidia befriending Tinkerbell 3: Vidia revealing the truth about the situation 4: Vidia's sassy moments 5: Vidia's caring side (sometimes in odd ways) 6: Vidia's redemption 7: Vidia staying with Tinkerbell the whole times, even bad choices Tinkerbell have made 8: Vidia working with Tinkerbell's friends to rescue Tinkerbell 9: Vidia stopping the others from fighting 10: Vidia comforting Tinkerbell

nothing can beat her sacrifice for Tinkerbell knowing she was gonna get captured from the humans, she was more scared for Tinkerbell then she did for herself, maybe it was her way of making it up to Tinkerbell for what have happened to Tink after slamming the door on her and probably realized Tinkerbell didn't deserves to get captured so she took her place instead, just my thoughts, in the end she's the reason Tinkerbell is still alive afterall next favourite was her befriending Tinkerbell after all the rescuing was over and it started when they reunited with each other, i think it turned out she was actually relieved Tinkerbell was okay this whole time after Tinkerbell got kidnapped by Lizzy and shortly after she hugged Tinkerbell with the picnic scene she wanted to start over with Tinkerbell and officially formed a friendship, letting go for everything that has happened in the past moving everything in the past, the reason why it's extremely high on the list is because when Tinkerbell was first born, she didn't wanted to have like anything to do with Tinkerbell and tries to get rid of her and from everybody she had most of the issues with Tinkerbell because she bullied Tinkerbell and made everything about herself this whole time back then, for that reason i didn't expected her to be into Tink's life once the human event have started but some people do change for the better and have its redemption and Vidia is one of them who do have a heart, that's why it's on my second best list of Vidia next up on my top 3 was the scene she felt guilty about the whole thing and decided to tell the girls the truth about Tinkerbell and couldn't forgive herself she got a little involved with the event and if something bad happens to Tinkerbell, she'll be more upset if she won't get to Tinkerbell in time to save her from the humans and it scared the crap out of her if she can't make it up to Tinkerbell if she won't survive all this, it really looked like she was defending Tinkerbell after the others made fun of Tinkerbell with her temper because Vidia was most likely the one who seems to be upset and she wasn't on friendly terms with Tinkerbell so i was surprised the others weren't so upset at all and they are Tink's friends but Vidia was relieved to find forgiveness by others after they all comforted her about the situation so she forgives them all aswell right afterwards too she has a sarcastic nature of her and most of the times i find it quite funny to be honest and it's showed in almost each movies, one of them was when she found out Tinkerbell had a sister and asked if there was an another Tinkerbell, her funny ways of saying it's a bad idea when Tinkerbell is up to something, she likes to mess up and i meant more of like making jokes or atleast act like one, "fairy to fairy advice" when she tells Periwinkle in a funny way yet NOT joking about how Tinkerbell can be at times and Tinkerbell was like "uhm haha yeah guess who's talking" i love that about her and the scene that made it to the top 5 is her caring side, even if she doesn't always shows it the right ways, one of the best ways was when Silvermist became seasick she took it easy on her, the other one was the Gruff situation when under weird weathers and just wanted Fawn to be safe, Vidia also often make sure Tinkerbell stays out from troubles, even after the third movie, she'll especially be there for Tinkerbell even if she doesn't agree with the plans or opinions, one of them was when Tinkerbell was still working on the box and Vidia reminded her in sarcastic ways to take a break from all the working before the 4 seasons festival have started, i LOVE her caring side

next one is her redemption, one of the best compared to all the others, she carefully went after Lizzy in hope to befree her on her own, she was terrified for Tinkerbell after she saw all those poor butterflies pinned up in display cases thinking Tinkerbell will most likely to be the next target and she got scared when Tinkerbell got attacked by a cat and called the others for help once she realized she couldn't befree Tinkerbell on her own, she leaded the others to the house, explained them everything and aside from the whole situation she felt guilty for it also didn't wanted Tinkerbell to die once she saw Tinkerbell while she was trapped in a jar and didn't wanted for Tinkerbell to die when sacrificing her own life for Vidia, sure she was relieved to see her but she was scared for her when Tinkerbell almost risked her own life by stopping the car to save Vidia, i can tell when she said her name and begged Tinkerbell not to go there, one of the best redemption for that reason the next one was the one she stayed with Tinkerbell even when she made bad choices or felt like she got ignored, i'd expected her to leave Tinkerbell like she used to do at first but she didn't, she even stayed when Tinkerbell entered the fairy house made by humans, she'd probably knew if she won't protect her from the humans Tink will get captured WAY earlier and won't survive life if she let something like that go and does care for her even if she shows it in a irritating way, i'm proud of Vidia in the third movie next one was her working with the group, she helped others building a boat, she helped the others during a waterfall, she kind of technically helped the others to lead them to the house and even during cat attack she was much help the next one was her stopping the others from fighting in the pirate fairy movie and not just once but like 3 TIMES, one with Rosetta and Fawn with the shoes one, the other one with Silvermist and iridessa and the last one when iridessa and Rosetta got into a serious fight with the disasters by blaming each other, i don't know if this has anything to do like how she used to fight with Tinkerbell at the time they weren't on friendly terms with each other and didn't wanted Rosetta and iridessa to end up like she did with Tinkerbell but i'm glad she intervene in a calm way like a mother or big sister by saying Zarina is to the blame for all the messes it have created, even the switching talent one knowing arguing and blaming each other won't get you anywhere in life with bad situations, if she wasn't even there to stop iridessa and Rosetta from fighting i'm sure it will escalate sooner or later and they only get themselves to blame, i love this mature side of Vidia in this movie, she's the type that will adjust with the situations after overreacting at first and that one scene that made it to the top 10 was the scene she was being there for Tinkerbell this whole time when Tinkerbell got seperated from her sister by Lord Milori, she really looked like she wanted to stand up for Tinkerbell but have no idea what or how for the way she looks at Tinkerbell and then turned to Lord Milori a few times but i'm glad she was being there for her and comforting her about the situation and tried to take her home, that's a sweet thing to do for a friend who was having a hard time about all this and sticks with her at all times, that's what true friends will do in my opinion, she comforts the others too, sure but i love this one slightly more

there are more things what i love about Vidia then the ones i don't love about her but it's mostly only the first movie though but all is forgiven once she came into Tinkerbell's life when on the mainland, i ironically used to hate her but now i love this girl, she really rocks in my opinion and she often takes the situation very well, she's most likely the only one who have that strength

The one I've gotten the most "this made me so sad" comments on is actually my happiest in my opinion. I wrote Intermundial Tax Law right as I was gearing up to move countries, and the story ends with the main character feeling confident and determined in his choice to leave home. That's the happiest ending I could have imagined at the time, because emigrating somewhere new is not a simple prospect, emotionally.

Laid up in 1802 in poor condition, and then brought out of ordinary in 1804 because napoleon was going to invade and they needed all the ships they could get. She took and demasted the Spanish 112 gun Santisima Trinidad at Trafalgar which is pretty cool.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

How Pinye Got Her Groove Back probably won't ever get finished because I've lost the mindset. Its a fic about dysphoria and coming out and as I get farther away from the direct experience its harder to set in my mind.

idk. it feels odd to talk about my strengths when I'm so very green at this. I think I'm pretty alright at knowing when to kill a darling.

that's an easy one! my dimension 20: mentopolis fic (whale fall) was written before the finale and was my guess as to what would happen w one of the pairs of characters, and its very sweet and wholesome i think :3

I talked about it today in therapy on why i enjoy fixing other peoples issues much more than having to constantly address my own - other people have much easier issues to deal with, or issues im dealing with concurrently with more daunting and complex problems

I have the following going on, and they all have similar levels of attention:

1. School (full time college, billing and coding exams, real estate course work, AND edX courses)

2. Lawsuits against me (two)

3. Legal issues where I'm owed money (4-5)

4. Health issues for myself (me/cfs, pots, pcos, schizoaffective disorder, ptsd, myofacial pain syndrome, mcas, adhd, dpdr, brain fog, these mystery migraines and nosebleeds)

5. My kids health issues (autism, 98% percentile, gbs, seasonal allergies, immunocompromised, genetic testing bc shes albino)

6. My car, and fixing then selling it. And my new car, paying it off

7. My previous debt

8. My previous marriage and filing for divorce

9. My social anxiety and behavioral issues

10. My grief and trauma

11. My grandma who probably is going to die in 2025

12. My family in general

13. Failing to catch up with my peers socially

14. Needing more money always!!

Like even getting my daughter on ssi took years worth of tangibly unrelated prerequisites. What do you mean i had to get her in daycare, then a referral to IE, then a social worker the IE, who then referred me to RTW, who then took a 10 months to get her a diagnosis, then do a 6 month long study, then apply for SSI dec 1023, then get approved in September 2024, then wait until jan 2025 to receive a portion of the lumpsum?? Like how is that an easy process?

Its so much easier to fix someone whos issues can be resolved by the regular channels. Its so much more rewarding to see someone apply for something, or do something difficult and then is immediately rewarded. What took me 5 appointment visits to eventually get tanf for a month, from april til sept, vs a prev friend who was waiting for a few months on an EBT card, waited 15 minutes at the office, nd got it the same day. All i had to do was drive her there. Ofc i dont talk to her anymore bc that same event for semi related reasons

But its just sooo much easier to fix it for other people. As a break, really. Im still workin on my shit but i think of it in the same way people do brain teasers for fun vs trigonometry for work.

And the worst part honestly is like, dealijg with my own personal resentment and envy bc if my body worked, it wouldnt even matter if im cognitively or mentally disabled. Im smart enough to circumvent that. Its just if my body didnt have the same innate desire to self destruct like a horse i could literally be making 200k by now. Id be so rich. I couldve been a doctor with a coke habit. I couldve ruled rhe world.

This is going to be a relatively short post/song compared to my last write-up of that monster "Madhuvan" from 6/8, but I wanted to cover something from 6/10's Steelhouse show even if the band didn't post an official highlight video, because it was a great show with lots of highlights.

"Butter Rum" will do.

This tune comes at the end of an opening set that's a bit light on other deep jamming but that makes up for it with pure flow. After playing the opening two songs straight (including rarity "Howard Johnson's Got His Ho-Jo Workin'"), the band plays an energetic "Indian River" that flows so seamlessly into "Cantaloupe Island" that I didn't realize it was a separate song until after the show. Then there's a fantastic "Echo Of A Rose" > "Honeybee" > "Bob Don" -> "Echo" sequence, followed by the "Rum."

For me, the second set's big improvisational highlight is the opening "Pancakes," but the rest of the set keeps the flow going by moving through "Into The Myst" > "The Old Man's Boat" > "Arcadia" in succession. None of these are particularly standout versions, in my opinion, but they're still great Goose songs played relentlessly in a way that makes the meat of this set satisfying if the "Pancakes" didn't already fill you up.

All these food- and drink-themed songs are making me hungry and thirsty.

Anyway, this "Butter Rum" features especially great tone from Peter during his guitar solo and then the jam starts around 4:20. It gets chunky almost right away, with Rick's guitar and Peter's keys twining around each other melodically.

At 5:25, Rick initiates a key change and things take a (slightly) dark turn. Peter moves over to the electric piano and Cotter and Jeff drop into a heavier beat.

At 6:45, the band moves on to a new, more original soundscape, with a more driving beat and (to my ears) totally news tones from both Rick and Peter. This sort of sounds like a robot trying to use mouthwash. Like, in a good way.

Over the course of the next few minutes, this jam moves into more standard shreddy Goose territory, but as I typed that to mildly complain, at about 9:10, the band switches things up again, to a more syncopated space that features the rhythm section more, with Rick's guitar taking a more textural role than a driving one. By 10:00, the whole band is retreating into a mellow, ambient space, which is currently my favorite flavor of Goose, so I'm happy. Trevor is once again the melodic anchor while Rick dances around his basslines and Peter lays down a carpet of synth-y goodness.

I don't want to get back into the Cotter vs. Ben stuff at this point, but I'll just say that Cotter sounds fucking made to play drums on jams like this one.

The band hangs out in this space for basically the rest of the jam, and though it doesn't stay ambient long, the shred session that follows feels fresh and energetic. At 14:43, Rick jumps back into the "Butter Rum" key (maybe a bit preemptively as it seems like nobody else got the memo), which leads to a little celebratory coda before the band polishes off the song proper at 15:45.

As promised, a shorter jam this time around, but one that covers a decent amount of interesting territory nonetheless. I feel like Goose is starting to get into that territory that Phish has been in for the last few years, where writing off a ten minute version of a given song at a glance because it's "not long enough" to contain a good jam often ends up being a mistake. I just got back from seeing Phish play four shows at Dick's and even though that run had its fair share of monster twenty-five-minute-plus jams, some of my favorite moments of the weekend were songs that (I was surprised to see post-show) clocked in at "only" ten or eleven minutes. Similarly, it seems to me that Goose is getting better at improvising more deeply more quickly out of the ends of composed songs, and more often than not a set full of ten minute songs that might have felt a bit rote a few years ago turns out upon listening to be chock full of really great idea and unique soundscapes.

And, I mean, that's gotta be good, right?

Onward and upward! The band posted two jams from their 6/11 show, so those will be next up. Then I'll get into some of my favorite shows of June so far: 6/14, 6/15, and 6/18.

Beatrice couldn’t say how long the silence lasted, all she could do is stare at the pregnancy tests lying side by side in the drawer, partially hidden by the magazines almost as if Evelyn didn’t want to see them.

And considering her reaction, it was very possible she really didn’t want to see those tiny sticks.

Beatrice licks her lips, that were dry from her gawked expression, then moves her eyes to the lump under the covers, “Ev…I…” she blinks, how exactly could she go by this? Evelyn’s personality was different from hers, she was more than excited when she discovered she was pregnant, hell, Evelyn was there with her when she found out, “I…I…a-are you okay?”

There’s a gentle huff from under the covers, “No.”

“...okay,um…” Beatrice gently rubs her friend’s arm, chewing the inside of her cheek, “Um…do you,do you need me to do anything?”

Evelyn moves under the covers, which makes Beatrice drop her hand to her lap as the sheets slowly fall to reveal her friend. She looked awful, her eyes were swollen, her hair a mess and she didn’t seem like she slept in days not to mention how Beatrice could see a little bit of makeup still clinging to her bloodshot eyes. The same bloodshot eyes that slowly moved over to Beatrice, who gave Evelyn a small comforting smile only for it to drop as her friend looked away again, “...you here alone?”

“Yeah,Rooster and Nikki went home.” she almost felt bad mentioning Nicole considering…the situation, “He is going to pick me up once I call him, I’m not in a time crunch.”

Her joke falls flat because Evelyn doesn’t laugh, her hunched position making her appear smaller and frail, a complete opposite of what Evelyn truly was, “..okay…” and another shaky inhale was heard, followed by Evelyn running her hands on her face, combing her black hair back and dropping her hands to her lap with a dull slap. 

“...Ev…I…I…I don’t really know what to say.”

"About what?”

Bea blinked, looking back at the open drawer, “Well, um…wh-what you just indirectly told me.”

Evelyn stares ahead, a sniffle making its way out of her nose, “Me neither.”

“Just…um-do you wanna talk about it?”

Evelyn chuckles dryly, shoulders shaking with brief laughter before she shakes her head, “What is there to talk about,Bea? I don’t even know how to start this conversation.”

“Well…maybe you can…start from the beginning. Before the tests?”

Evelyn looks at Bea by the corner of her eye, looking like a complete mess, eyes crusty and tired as she stares at the brunette. Evelyn’s gaze was always very strong and confident, she never backed down, she knew what to do but right now? Right now Bea was seeing parts of Evelyn she never saw before and she didn’t know what to do. “...My period didn’t come last month.” she whispered, “But I didn’t think about it, because I was working a lot, plus Jake was gone so I assumed I was stressed.”

The taller woman pulls one of her knees up to use it as support for her head, still frowning, “And I felt nothing, no nausea, nothing hurting, nothing at all.” she inhales again, “But then this month comes and there’s still no period…so I thought I should do the test, just because I had to be sure.” her smile turned grim, “I did more than three.”

“What?”

“More than three tests, but I tossed them all out because…I…I couldn’t accept it.” she murmured, “I thought it was because the test was cheap, so I bought the expensive ones, the ones that are sturdy and can handle a good beating….and they were positive as well.”

Beatrice watches her friend slowly lower her leg and fall back on the bed, arms spread, eyes looking up at the ceiling. The brunette frowns, looking down at her friend’s stomach only to see it was still flat, covered by her sleeping shirt, “...I…see…does…does anyone know?”

Does Jake?

“No.” Evelyn mutters, “You are the first one.”

“Oh.”

“I don’t know what to do Bea.” she whispered, rolling her lips into her mouth with a subtle shake of her head, “It’s not…it wasn’t planned. Nothing was. I don’t even–” she groans, rubbing her face with her hands, sighing against her palms, “I don’t even know how to bring this up to Jake yet. We’ve been using protection, I’m taking my birth control…I don’t get it.”

Beatrice licks her lips, “Sometimes it’s…just something that happens,Ev.” she tries to explain the best she can without upsetting her friend even more, “...did you and Jake ever-”

“No, we never talked about kids.” Evelyn says, “He tried to say something about marriage but I told him I wanted to wait more,I don’t…I enjoy my independence. And he respected that.”

“I know.”

“And while Jake stays here from time to time, he understands I need some time and that I like to be alone.” she frowns, “But now? Now? What do I do? I don’t even know how to tell him this,I don’t even know what he’ll say.”

“Well,Jake loves you.” Beatrice says gently, “And…whatever you decide I’m sure he’ll support you no matter what.”

Evelyn turned to face Beatrice, pushing herself to a sitting position as her eyes dropped to her lap, “My dad…is going to skin him alive Bea.” she whispers, “He…he started to warm up to me and Jake now, he supports it as long he’s on the up and up with everything we have planned. And now…God when he finds out-hell my mom will freak the fuck out but my dad?”

“Don’t- don’t think about it now, Ev.” she says, placing a hand on her friend’s shoulder, “Are you hungry? Did you eat anything?” Evelyn shakes her head no, “I can make you something, you need to eat and maybe enjoy the sunlight a bit, it’ll be good for you.”

“Bea.”

“Yeah?”

“...can I hug you?”

Beatrice just nodded and Evelyn wrapped her arms around her shoulders, while the brunette hugged her friend by the waist. It was such…an odd feeling to be the comforting party in this situation, but she knew that Evelyn needed it and she wouldn’t let her go unless she felt good enough to. 

She didn’t cry,maybe she was already ‘dried out’ by the time that Beatrice showed up, but Evelyn held the brunette in such an iron grip that her shoulders were a bit hurt because of it. But she sat there, rubbing Evelyn’s back comfortingly as her  friend’s back rose and fell with her breathing, Beatrice was glad that she wasn’t crying at least.

After a while Evelyn leaned back, “I’m going to take a quick shower.” she whispered, meeting Beatrice’s green eyes, “Thank you,Bea.”

“You are welcome.” Beatrice got up from the bed to allow Evelyn to get up, not even putting on the fuzzy slippers as she went to the bathroom, still looking much smaller than she actually was.”I’ll be in the kitchen.” and she got a weak ‘okay’ before the bathroom’s door closed.

Beatrice sighed softly, looking down at Wiley who sat by the doorframe, mewing almost in question at her, “She’ll be fine,Wiley…come on, let’s make something for her,hm?” she hoped that would distract her mind too, because it was a lot of emotions going on in her head after all.

Being the first one to know about something like that, especially when the person in question doesn’t seem too excited about it, was very hard. Beatrice rubbed her face with both hands, huffing out a breath as she walked to the kitchen, but not before opening the curtains and letting the light enter the apartment.

She also opened the balcony’s door so the chilly October air made it’s way inside, inhaling deeply and feeling a wave of tranquility take over her as soon as she did that.

She checked the fridge, looking around for something quick and easy to make knowing her friend needed something now and not later. There was a plastic container that looked like it had vegetables and meat, Beatrice opened it up to check, “Oh,mongolian beef. This is nice.” There was also some rice in a bigger bowl covered with a plastic film, “It’ll be good enough.”

Something comforting and something easy, because Evelyn needed that.

She heard the shower running while heating up everything, exhaling in relief knowing that it’d help Evelyn feel better. Or at least she hoped. She had no idea how…to go on with this. She didn’t seem happy sharing the news to Beatrice, so maybe she shouldn’t talk about it? Maybe she should just chat about something else unless Evelyn brought it up again.

Beatrice looks towards her back pocket when her phone pings with a message and she already knows who it is from. She pulls out her phone with one hand while the other keeps stirring the meat in the pan, chewing her lower lip as she sees Rooster’s name on the screen.

Roos (12:00)

Hey,gorgeous. Everything good?

Was it? No. 

She also had no idea if she should share the news with Rooster, maybe not now, maybe…maybe later, maybe when she’s home.

Cue to her receiving a picture of his long legs stretched and crossed on top of the coffee table, Jolene’s head on his lap with her eyes closed, Jack lying under the coffee table and Eleanor looking up at the screen almost as if she was ready to attack it at any moment.

Beatrice was so focused on answering Rooster she didn’t hear the shower stop, nor heard her friend’s footsteps approaching the kitchen or the quiet mewling coming from Wiley. Evelyn stopped by the threshold, staring at Beatrice who managed to type on her phone and cook at the same time, “Bea.” her friend yelped, the phone flying off her hand to the air and the only reason it didn’t hit the ground was because it landed on the soft kitchen mat she was standing on.

“Oh!Ev!” she laughs awkwardly, leaning down to grab the phone, checking if there was anything broken and then wiping it against her sleeve, “Sorry I was talking to Roos.” she looks back at the stove, “I’m heating some stuff I got in your fridge.”

“Yeah, mongolian beef. I know.’ Evelyn said, sitting on the bar stools she had against the island in the middle of her kitchen, “Everything okay with Rooster?”

“Yeah!Everything is great!” Beatrice sends her husband a text telling him she’d message back in a few and that she loved him, then slid her phone into her pocket, “Anyway, do you want something to drink? Maybe some water?” Evelyn shook her head, rubbing her eyes with her hands before dropping her head on top of her folded arms.

Beatrice frowned as she turned the stove off and placed the lids on top of each pan before approaching her friend, touching the side of her arm gently,”Ev.” she calls, “You’ll be okay.”

Evelyn lifted her head, holding her interlaced fingers in front of her mouth as she breathed hard against her knuckles, “I don’t know what to do.” she repeats the same phrase as before, “I don’t…know what to do.”

“Well…do you…want the baby?” she knew it was a risk to ask, but Evelyn had to know what she wanted in that aspect, “It’s still early…”

Evelyn looked back at Bea, then at her hands, then to the wall opposite to them, “...thing is I…” she groans, “I do want it. I do, but…Bea, me and Jake aren’t married. And I don’t know if you know but both sides of my family are very against stuff like that.” another sigh, “it’s just…I don’t want them to blame Jake. I don’t want my father to make his life a living hell because of this.”

“Isn’t there a chance your father might be happy to be a grandpa? I mean, you are his only daughter.”

“Which is why I worry.” Evelyn says, “We talk a lot, we are more open now…but it’s fucking hard Bea. I can’t read my parents’ minds,I can’t know how they’ll truly react.” she rubs her forehead, “Not to mention the whole, Navy thing.” Beatrice furrows her brows, “You know my dad is always like ‘Duty First’ and whatever. He’ll just think that we didn’t think about the risks.”

The risks.

Oh.

Beatrice’s smile falters when that word is mentioned, that word that always,always hovered above her head and Rooster’s. He talked to her about it a bit, but he never elaborated and Beatrice worried about him often. Like always, things within their control were easy to handle…the rest, not so much.

Rooster still had the ghost of his father’s passing on his shoulders, she knew, she could see how it weighed him down sometimes. And the fear was always there, it was something they talked about often too, the risks of his profession were several and almost impossible to figure out.

Evelyn noticed how Bea got silent and she groaned once she recalled her words, “Shit,Bea,I didn’t mean-”

“No,no,no,it’s okay.” Beatrice smiles, “It’s okay…I…I know what you mean.”

Evelyn frowns, looking down at her hands, “How do you do it?” she asks quietly, “How do you deal with it? I mean…you two have Nikki now, how do you not…go crazy?”

“Therapy.” and for the first time since she got to the apartment, Evelyn laughed, weakly, but she laughed, dropping her head only to hold it up with her hand, “Honestly,I don’t know. We just…talk about it a lot, our conversations could last hours. Do you and Jake?”

“What?”

‘Talk?”

Evelyn blinks at her friend, then licks her lips, “Sometimes. I just…I mean we do talk,’ she straightens her back, “We do talk and share things, hell we both have parents in the military so that helps with…understanding and figuring out what to do but…a kid? A kid Bea. I don’t even know how…God.”

Beatrice bites the corner of her mouth, holding her hands in front of her womb as she takes in Evelyn’s words. “...what do you think your father will do once he finds out?” she asks, “Since…you want to keep it.”

“I have no idea.”

“Guess,then.”

The tall woman sighed, throwing her hands up as she begins explaining, “I don’t know. Probably…drill Jake with words and make him feel like shit. Maybe even accuse him of ‘locking me up with a child’ which is the stupidest thing ever. I love Jake, he’s a dumbass and he has his arrogant moments…but he’s sweet and he’s romantic and he treats me with respect.”

That was probably the first time Beatrice heard Evelyn talk about her relationship with Jake, and it made the brunette smile. She allowed Evelyn to keep talking as she prepared her plate, “And I care about him. I mean,Jesus, I wouldn’t let him come here if I didn’t.”

Beatrice settles the plate in front of Evelyn - the other woman couldn’t help but chuckle seeing that Beatrice arranged the beef on top of the rice to form a cat face, with the chives as whiskers - and then sits down next to her, “Then,well,I think that’s enough reason.”

“It’s not.”

“It is.” she says a bit more firmly, “You always butted heads with your parents and if you want to have this baby without being married to Jake, that’s your choice.” she shrugs, “You said yourself that he respects the fact you don’t want to get married yet.” Beatrice was very relieved when Evelyn finally took a bite of her food, keeping her eyes on the plate instead of the brunette.

“Yes,but–”

“Ev,” she says softly, “Listen, your parents have to understand that…these things happen and they should respect you and Jake…and your choices. Plus I have a feeling they’ll like it once you tell them everything.”

Evelyn slows her chewing to look at Beatrice, then chuckles softly, dropping her head forward as she swallows her food, “...I guess the roles are reversed, huh? It was usually me and Shells the ones that gave you a pep talk every now and again.”

Beatrice smiles, shrugging her shoulders, “Someone has to make sure you guys are okay.” she says, “Let that be me.”

“...thanks Bea.” Evelyn says, placing a hand on Beatrice’s shoulder, “I mean it,I really needed this.”

“You are welcome…are you going to be okay?” her friend nods, “Where’s Jake?”

“His sister is visiting,so he’s taking her for a tour.” Evelyn says as she moves the beef around her plate, “And he’ll come here by night time, after leaving her at the hotel.” she stops moving the fork, “I’ll tell him tonight.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah there is no point in stalling…and then I’ll tell my parents this weekend, after Penny’s Halloween party.”

Beatrice was glad that Evelyn seemed a lot better, her pose was straighter and her eyes were no longer dull and void of any emotion. She was still nervous, but there was a hint of confidence within her brown irises.

After chatting for a few more minutes, Beatrice decided to take her leave. Evelyn hugged her by the door, squeezing her friend’s shoulders, “Thank you.”

“You are welcome,Ev.” she smiles, pulling back from the hug to step towards the elevator, “See you Saturday?”

“Yeah, sure, oh.” she calls Beatrice’s name when the brunette reaches the elevator’s doors, “Please don’t tell Shells, we both know how she was when you were pregnant with Nikki.” the brunette laughs gently but nods, waiting for the doors to open, “And please don’t tell Rooster yet.”

That would be a bit hard considering how her husband was, “...will do.” she says after a while, waving goodbye to Evelyn as she steps into the elevator.

im finally back home so i can answer this . i cant remember what i have and havent shared abt him as his route is one im actively workin on but uhhhhh under cut

1. he loves the ocean and all that resides in it, but is Deathly afraid of it, his route is about helping him overcome that fear so he can finally interact with it. it would be one of the more lighthearted routes compared to other jack dlc routes but yk

2. like a number of my other ocs he lives in the apartments, and also like a number of my ocs he keeps pets there that he isnt allowed to have (four turtles named red blue orange and purple + a tank full of fish that are all named but only he can tell whos who)

3. while he does like being around people, he has social anxiety that presents as being very jittery and eager rather than shy . he talks really fast and he talks a Lot and will almost always find a way to steer the convo into something relating to marine life especially if hes nervous (which he almost always is). hes very friendly though and is very loyal to people hes close with :-]

4. hes kinda scatterbrained and all over the place and its very easy to distract him and get him to unknowingly agree to things, this is how gingi gets him to take them to the funfair in the first place

5. he works at a pet store in downtown and volunteers at an aquarium in a different town, he met the main nondatable frm his route (an enby named stop who has a stopsign for a head) while volunteering there and the two are good friends

6. he doesnt have an extreme favorite sea creature but his top 5 in no particular order with no real specification of which kind are sharks, sea urchins, blob fish, turtles, and jelly fish. honroable mentions are sea snakes and those rainbow lobsters that punch like motherfuckers

7. hes bisexual and aromantic so hell date you regardless of head choice !! hes fond of the idea of romance and isnt uncomfortable being persued that way but cant really feel the romantic attraction himself, its kinda just how it be

8. his middle name is nautica and if asked he'll say his parents named him that by default and that they knew he was destined to be with the sea (this is a lie. he picked it himself)

9. the bad end for his route would consist of breaking into the aquarium after hours and attempting to swim in one of the tanks together (gingi would be quoted saying "it'll be like— like a demo of the ocean!"), this results in both of you drowning as neither of you know how to swim

10. his routes gingling would have an albatross for a head
