i shall forever continue trying to improve my art & character design until multiple people tell me a character of mine is pretty

at least 1 character I've drawn is supposed to be canonically pretty but very few people say they are

Inspiration I had Benedict and Rhosh on my mind for Valentines. I adore them as a pairing and I wanted a piece to exist that both shows who they are culturally (a sailor from crete and a monk from france) and how powerfully they're drawn to each other, as soulmates. The later series really has a chaos touch, but the De Landen vampires and their story is quite important to me!!! I've spent a year or more in conversations and once weekly reading, musing on possibilities and dynamics. Especially how that relates to Magnus! Every bit of that appreciation, I hope to some day be in my creative works. A GOOD START!

The Wrench warband is a very well respected Iron Legion warband known for its exceptional mechanical prowess and itself is decently old- its oldest member previously had been its old legionnaire, Septimus Wrenchbane. The warband was much bigger then it is now, and many of the founding members have since passed on.

When Wrench was founded, it was meant to be a warband that was rarely on the field, instead repairing damaged war machines and inventing new ones. They have an impressive reputation and are well liked by the rest of Iron. And their reputation precedes them; if they're heading into an area to help with the war effort, even other legions take notice and bring their weapons for repair.

As of the start of the story of GW2, the warband consists of eight members:

Calix Quickwrench (legionnaire)

Galen "Ratchet" Wrenchtoss

Vitruvius Wrenchbreaker

Valeria Wrenchmender

Lucius Snapwrench

Argelius Wrenchwelder

Helena Flipwrench

Sidera "Sid" Hackwrench

Calix and Galen are currently the oldest members of the warband. Despite Calix's sometimes mournful face, something he's often teased for, he's a jovial and fair legionnaire, well liked by the warband even before its numbers began to dwindle with age. He confides greatly in Galen, who serves as the warband's medic and studied for a time with an asura that had graduated from and taught at the lost College of Iatrics.

To say nothing of Galen's one time on-again-off-again relationship with Smodur during his time in his warband before he joined Wrench. That being said, he's a gruff but gentle physician, and while his magical abilities are lacking, his practical medical skills know no equal within the high legions. He's known for his laser precision with throwing wrenches when people are being obnoxious.

Vitruvius and Valeria are twins who have been with the warband a long time, and they are incredibly sharp, excellent at sorting out unusual problems with inventions, and they treat the youngest warband member - Sidera - like a younger sister, which she accepts (grudgingly). There are some rumors that Valeria is the dam of Galen's twin sons, Spurius and Spiculus, but that's never been confirmed.

Lucius is known to be dour and difficult to get along with, but he's a keen hand at quick repairs, using his elementalist magic to neatly weld seams and carefully cool overheated metal. He dislikes pretty much everyone outside the warband, but he at least feigns some respect towards the tribunes and imperators when they stop to check in on how things are going.

Argelius handles most of the warband's acquisitions. He's found good deals on old tanks and charr cars that Wrench has made practically brand new again, and enjoys a bit of smug bragging whenever he finds something deemed unsalvagable that the rest of the warband immediately goes to work on, either fixing it up or taking it apart to sell or repurpose the scrap. He's known to have a bit of an ego.

Helena is the second youngest of the warband. She joined Wrench around the same time Galen did, having left a warband that fell apart due to vicious infighting. She's rumored to be just as dour and cynical as Lucius, but those that know her well know that couldn't be further from the truth. Warm and keenly aware of the emotions of her companions, she was one of the first to throw in on helping to raise Sid.

And last...

Little Sidera, known to her friends as Sid.

Found in the wreckage of a merchant caravan the Wrench warband often traded with, she was the sole survivor of a separatist attack that killed her parents, who were exiles from Rata Sum. Raised within the Wrench warband, she even spent time in the fahrar, which is where she met the future commander's eventual companion Iuno Wrathtalon and made close friends. She learned to use her small size, quick reflexes, and needle sharp fangs to her advantage early on. She is extremely bright, but loves working on tech. It's not uncommon to find her rooting around the inside of a tank and startling unsuspecting customers in the workshop.

Trigger Warning: Mentions of Homophobia

Vanderburg Twin seen Cheating from His Commoner Boyfriend

These are the words sitting in front of Dowager Duchess Margaux.

On her screen, a picture of her son, chatting with a woman on a pub probably around Foxbury. They were quite close in the photograph. She thinks they were about to hug, or had just hugged, but she could see the body language–none of them had tense shoulders, and none of them wore an awkward smile.

She rubbed her temple. What gave her a pounding headache was the tabloid’s assumptions of her son dating a commoner boyfriend–Louie Davis, the twins’ friend.

Every showbiz news network, news site–whatever–speculated that he and Louie were dating, as the paparazzi had taken quite a few pictures of them together when their friend group were out, when they were still at high school. Her private secretaries spent a lot of time giving the networks kill orders to kill every picture of the children, especially the photographs of Louie and Seamus “together”, on a reason stating that they were minors, and scared the networks that they could be sued by the parents for taking their photos without their consent. They made sure they never mentioned Mousse’s relationship status.

She even sent a peace offering to Louie’s parents, some new set of high-quality pots and pans for the father, a new handbag for the mother, and a new dress for Sidera Harper–Louie’s girlfriend.

Louie has a girlfriend, for Watcher’s sake.

Bernie entered the room, slamming the door. She could see him stressed. Obviously.

“This is why I told him to release a statement!” He almost growled. “The family never batted an eye when they said he’s gay. But I know the Queen Mother was disappointed.”

“Didn’t stop her from showing her favoritism to the twins, though,” Penny pointed out.

“Yes, Penny,” Bernie exasperatedly sighed. “But the disappointment is there. Did you see how she’s preferring Julie more than her brother?”

“Or maybe,” Penny rolled her eyes, “Julie is the Duchess so she’s more focused on her?”

Bernie exhaled. His heated glare targeted the ceiling, “Look,” he looked back at her, “the family is giving me shit right now–excuse me, Your Grace–they don’t like the cheating allegations. They can leave the boy be and be gay than see him as a cheater. He is considered his father’s spitting image, and they would hate it if he’s painted as an adulterer!”

Penny scoffed, “What, you’d rather have the family be homophobic than give you shit about a cheating scandal?” “What? No!” Bernie let out a noise of frustration. “Look at Prince Gerard and Mr. Simon, since when did the family release their disappointment?”

“Obviously not publicly. Prince Gerard and his husband stepping down from royal duties, retiring from his senior royal work, and moving to Starlight Shores is very telling. And don’t reason with me with Milo and Ramon Perez. The family doesn’t mind them– don’t care even –they’re distant relatives of the household. They’re far away from the throne, Bernie. As long as it’s not the main family, not from the line of King Pierce, they’re fine with it, because it doesn’t steal the show, doesn’t steal the limelight, doesn’t tamper royal values.”

Penny pointed a finger to Bernie. If he was near, Margaux knew the younger secretary would shove him with it, “That’s how homophobic they are.”

“Enough, you two!” Margaux raised her voice. “Let’s not put the blame on my son here.”

“That’s not what I – ”

She held her hand as she stood up from her seat. Bernie closed his mouth.

“What we’re going to do is fix this. You will drive to Foxbury, get my twins, their friends, including this girl, and we will debrief them. From there, we will ask Mousse to release a statement, which includes clarification on why he never spoke before–force him if need be, and then we will have Julie release a statement that shows support,” she motioned to Penny, “which includes a picture of their friend group, with Louie and Sidera together– take note of this –and my son and this girl sitting beside each other. Stage them to be as intimate as possible, have him sling an arm around her waist–anything. That will shut them up.”

“Excellent idea, my lady.”

“And if this doesn’t work?”

“Then we face the wrath of the Queen Mother.”

Seamus spared a quick glance to Bea, who stood beside him, helping him with his presentation.

Lou? He recalled the conversation he and Louie had. How did you know you…liked…Sid?

Louie had whipped his head to face him so fast Seamus had almost laughed. Dude…

He had sighed. I don’t know Louie. I thought of Bea as a friend, but I’m starting to see something more. I can no longer see her as a friend. Every night I think about her, her voice, her laughs, the way she speaks. The way she smartly answers our professors, the way she handles her fans inside the campus, telling them to move their asses away and not disturb her education…I always look forward to seeing her, Lou, but I’m also nervous when I’m about to see her. I was never the one to look conscious about my appearance because everyone finds me handsome anyway –

– Woooow. You sounded like a prick there. Louie had laughed at him.

Seamus had chuckled at this, and then continued, When I’m with her, I always find myself worrying about how I look. Do I look good? I’ve asked the girls about it. Julie always says yes, and Sid just gave me a thumbs up. My confidence spikes–until I see her.

Yeah, and you buy the magazine that has her at the cover, Louie had teased him by adding another thing that he’s so embarrassed to admit.

Seamus remembered giving him a look. He also remembered Louie stuck his tongue out to tease him more.

Anyway, his friend had patted him on the back firmly. You’ve fallen in love, my boy.

And back to the present. This is why she’s here. He invited her under the pretense of asking her help. Honestly, he can breeze through this presentation with how inspired he is.

He’s going to confess to Bea. Right here. Right now.

“Bea– ”

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

He tried not to click his tongue. Smiling at Bea, he said, “I’ll get it.”

As soon as he opened the door, in came Louie, pushing Seamus back into his room, and kicking the door closed. He looks worried.

“Nobody freak out,” Louie said, but it looked like he said that for himself.

Worry etched on Bea’s face. “What’s going on?”

“Girl, I said, don’t freak out!” Louie let out a sound that made Seamus almost laugh.

“No one’s freaking out but you, Lou. What’s up?” Seamus chuckled.

“There’s…” Louie gulped. “There’s paparazzi outside our door!”

They jogged down the stairs, and when the paparazzi noticed them through the glass windows of their door, they pounded, demanding them to step outside. It was locked, luckily, and Seamus is sure they wouldn’t break the window–no one really liked to pay property damage.

“Juls,” Louie said to his phone, “lock your front door. Do not go out. Your brother and I will handle this.”

Seamus heard him. What his sister said, he doesn’t know, as Louie had immediately dropped the call.

“What should we do?” his friend asked. “Should we call Mr. Braxton?”

Seamus thought for a moment. He’d hate to have Bernie here. He’s going to give him one hell of a lecture. You should’ve released a statement a long time ago!

“I’ll go out and talk,” he finally said. “Just a quick announcement…”

“I’ll go with you,” Louie firmly nodded.

“Then I’ll go as well,” Bea added.

“Are you sure?” Louie asked, worried. “I think it’s safe for you to stay inside.”

Bea looked at Seamus. He sighed and gave her a small smile. “Okay, but if it gets too much, Louie will bring you inside, alright?”

“Lord Seamus! Is it true you’re cheating with your boyfriend?”

“Mr. Davis, how do you feel that he’s cheating with that girl right beside you?”

“Seriously? I have a girlfriend!” Louie scowled.

Seamus whispered back to him, “That’s the first and last reaction you’ll give them. Let me handle this.”

Louie shared a glance with Bea. She nodded at him, before looking down at her feet to avoid the paparazzi. Louie rubbed the back of his neck.

Seamus saw his sister and Sid watching through the windows of their door. He knows what she’s thinking. Don’t. He looked away.

“I’m here to confirm one thing,” Seamus started, and the commotion stopped. The journalists waited. He continued, “Bea and I…” he glanced at her. I’ll have to confess this way. I’m sorry.

“We’re dating. The cheating allegations are not true–never is, never was. No relationship before Bea. My sister and I are dear friends of Louie, and his girlfriend, Ms. Harper. I have been silent to the media for many years, even when you assumed my orientation, as I believed that leaving you be is enough, and not engaging with your behavior will keep my family safe. As I’m seeing right now, it’s not. You’re putting my friends at risk. Now, I suggest you leave, before we call the campus security.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the journalists started speaking over each other. A cacophony of more questions. Seamus turned on his heel, pulling Bea with him, and on cue, Louie followed suit, shielding them as they went back inside. He elbowed some journalists away, then quickly closed the door behind him, locking it.

“I’ll call Bernie,” Seamus said, exhaling. “Call security, please.”

Louie nodded.

Seamus looked at Bea. He doesn’t know what to make of her expression. He understood why she was angry. She should be. He should’ve confessed to her first before publicizing that they’re dating.

“We’ll talk after this,” Bea finally said.

There goes my confession.

what are others opinions on zelura? Like at least the opinions of the characters i know of

Pretty much everyone is wary of Zelura, since she usually appears in forms similar to them species-wise. She's incredibly uncanny in most of her forms + most entities can sense she's concerningly powerful.

She once tried to manipulate Star Seer & even without being able to read her thoughts (because of how immensely powerful she is), Star Seer knew Something was up. Videns agreed to do a couple experiments for Zelura out of her own curiosity, but after Night Wish's conclusion she refused (partially cuz she had no more wishes to do anything else similar to it). Sidera's the only one that doesn't really care / isn't scared of her.

what were to happen if z did remember stuff from his life before?

depends on of they always remembered or if they just.. suddenly regained the memories. If they always remembered, they'd continue being Venenum's Guardian Angel, now without the restraints of "don't interfere.". this probably would have resulted in Vene being taken into zeluras unofficial Pantheon as well in order to keep Z loyal.

if they suddenly regained memories, theyd likely not really do anything. their old world abandoned them, all they need now is the Archives.

Who tried to redeem sidera and how did that play out?

Nox Ventus, goddess of redemption and .. family i think? she's Clara's younger sister & Genesis's older sister. She's the one that brought Genesis to Light Song due to Light Song promising to cure the disease that little Gene had. Nox worked as a Soul for LS, operating a ship for her until Nox died on a return trip due to the Tri-Century storm (massive hurricane that happens every 300 years or so) crashing her ship, leaving her to die of hypothermia. When Nox found out abt Genesis's actual fate, she fled to the Celestial Pantheon for help, but is actually more or less an Unaligned God.

Back on topic, Sidera had been captured by the Celestial Pantheon (Sid thought it'd be kinda fun to escape while powerless cuz of Voidbringer), and Nox tried to persuade them to Stop Being Evil. Sid legit just laughed in Nox's face and insulted her. it's where the "I do this because it's fun. I want to watch the world crumble because I can." / "You can't redeem someone who doesn't give a shit about your 'morals' or redemption" comes from :3

is everyone of other timelines?? Or just some people or none at all??

It depends? Some Timelines don't have major events that had their parents meet, or they didn't meet under the right circumstances, so they don't get together, so no child. For example, in the timeline where Drakerivelm doesn't have Any TimeWalker influence & the True Timeline, Saltator doesn't exist (TT sidera's not a TimeWalker in the way they are this timeline, so they don't have a reason to give Regina Deorum a child for War.)

will astaroth ever get their memories back?

Yep! they're slowly, slowly coming back. ;3

will there be a fight between zelura and astaroth?

Yes actually! Zenza & Venenum attack Zelura because they're fed up basically, and Zenza ends up needing to summon Astaroth. Zelura gets mortally wounded / her Magic damaged so she can't hold a truly stable form, and Zenza gets badly injured as well. Zelura survives, but no one knows where she is + she's in a somewhat different form.. I need to draw Defeated Zelura, actually...

do we ever find out what they are and where theyre from?

Nooot really.. at least, not in detail. They're from a multiverse Before, and Zelura's hunger for power and control contributed to its destruction, though.

what is that council like thing that calls clara eclipse(?) and what is that about anyways?

Those would be the Ancients!

Shortly before Xerivelm's War, Xecru & Queriv gave the six Ancients (Omnia, Tempes, Nocte, Sol, Mores, and Vero) godly powers in order to create a new Universe (away from Zenza). They technically started Abyss & Salha and let their reputation as Gods spread among the two Realms, but Zenza was the one to actually stabilize the two Realms bc the Ancients were kinda bored already. Zenza's also the one to actually give the Original Pantheons their powers.

has sidera ever felt guilt for any of their actions? Is there anyone sidera has ever cared for?

They haven't felt guilt, no. As for someone they care about... I'm considering giving them an old friend or something, but it'd end tragically (Sidera killing them cuz they're bothersome & in the way)

has zelura always been the way she is now?

Not quite. Zelura used to just be very focused on Karma, giving rewards to those who deserve it & punishing horrible people. They were one of the First Incarnations of their Multiverse, so they're very powerful, but after the Realms started changing beyond recognition & people stopped worshipping her, she became incredibly controlling and power hungry.

If less people believe in her, there's less magic for her, after all.. and less magic for an entity made entirely of magic can mean death.

how tf did vizerxa end up killing an entire kingdom? Or end up being blamed for doing so?

Light Song convinced Vizerxa to betray her siblings in Light Song's name in order to gain an actual reputation and usable power. After the three Royals were dead, it was easy to reveal to the Royal Council that Phoenix had killed Lucidi (manipulated by Light Song too), thus sending Amist Memoriam into political turmoil, allowing LS to invade and destroy the Kingdom.

She was also the one to send Videns to Magia before its destruction, so teeechnically that's two kingdoms, though she genuinely didn't know the second one would happen :3

what exactly is timorós and his wife (i forgot her name-)

Timorós is the first Xealruq, or False-Demon, and is the Incarnation of Vengeance. Phúlax is the first Xekolu, or False-Angel, and the Incarnation of Safety & protection :3

was genesis different before the expirements they were put through?

The experiments went from age 6-8 so Genesis didn't really have much chance to develop, esp since she was a very sickly child. Physically the experiments changed her a lot; her wings are a lot weaker, her blood is highly acidic (to the point it damages her too), she's missing an eye & her eyesight is Horrible (she would have been mildly nearsighted without the experiments), and she's missing the innermost claws of her feet cuz they're necessary for balancing (escaping)

did light song ever suspect shed die to vizerxa after vizerxa was basically made her right hand?

Not really, actually. Vizerxa is not the first to promise to kill LS, Light's loyal gods & souls usually kill people before they can kill LS. She didn't really care much about Mendacium's threats either.

It was during The Freezing Wrath of a God that Light Song actually realized that Vizerxa fully intended to kill her & enough of the Pantheon was on her side for it to happen. LS had intended to kill Vizerxa after the battle against the Celestials.

Fun fact about Sid is that she has no memories of her life before the Wrench warband. When Calix and Galen found her in the wreckage of the merchant caravan, she was barely a year old, and most of her life has been spent between the fahrar (she learned to use her claws and teeth effectively VERY fast despite her small size) and the warband's workshop.

As a result, she's not a very good asura but she IS a very good (if very small) charr. And she's doggedly loyal to Iron and Wrench. So when they lose Calix, who was like a sire to her, in Icebrood Saga, it's a lot to cope with.

1️⃣ For scenes, I rely on my own building (and interior) skills. Sometimes, I also rely on the environment outside of a lot. (The wicked whims positioning helps a lot; I also need to try out that TOOL mod).

A scene where I used the WW positioning system to position the Vatore siblings, and Louie and Sidera near the subway which is off-lot.

There is an instance where I had to download a lot off the gallery for a scene:

Sometimes, downloading a lot off the gallery isn't just for a scene, but for a whole chapter! (e.g. the Del Sol Vanderburgs' vacation in Sulani where they rented three little huts)

Sometimes, it's best to rely on yourself when trying to build rooms for set dressing when it comes to stories. If you can't build, a shell build is your friend!

This picture is technically not from a story post, but like a character card, but anyway, the backdrop in this picture is actually just a corner of a random lot, but it's a neat set dressing no?

A room with pure black backdrop is also a staple for me for scenes:

The scene where Helen communicates with her niece through the latter's dream.

The "black room" also symbolizes being inside of the mind, just like in this scene where Amelia is speaking to her father through telepathy. The black room has two uses: photoshoot, and mind palace.

2️⃣Though technically The Davis Legacy, and its side stories, is not a legacy gameplay anymore (and had become a story), houses are still important in my posts!

The Davis residence in San Sequoia was built by yours truly, with the help of blueprints! It is my favorite of all, because every room has character, and its walls had grown covered, filled with pictures of the family.

Louie's room was his since his birth.

Mason's first room, when he was a baby and a tot, was across Louie's and it only has one window. The family (or me) moved Sophia's office to the nursery, and the old office was refurbished as Mason's room when he aged up into a child.

Sid's room was the house's parlor room, where the fish tank, and an old piano, was originally kept. They renovated it for her!

I won't demolish this house, ever, because in-lore, Sophia and Jason wanted this house to be their sons' safe haven even if they're old. (IRL, the house is my baby) Since this is also technically generational, it's natural that the children would want to move out and grow their own family, but it's also natural that some of them would want to move back, so there's no demolishing...unless a rebellious heir sold it...😈

The Del Sol Vanderburgs' mansion was a shell I downloaded from the gallery, which I decorated.

Sanguine, a live-in nightclub (all thanks to a mod), which House Straud runs, is built by me.

The Hibiscus Hut where Perlas lives was also built by me!

The Davises had built their home with the lottery money, aligning it with San Sequoia's architectural designs, and expanded it more when their family grows. It's not as luxurious as the Del Sol Vanderburgs, but it's homey and cozy.

The Vanderburgs screams old money, a house bought by a rich rich family that lowkey serves as a vacation home turned permanent (or is it? 😈)

The Beau-Asvangs has a luxury penthouse because they're vampires, and they're extra, so of course Lady Lana would want to buy a home that is an equivalent to their castle in the olden times. It screams money, money, money.

The Strauds runs a nightclub, which also serves as an occult safe haven (and also a place where occults can exchange information). It has dimmed lights, in the club proper, a lot of seats, funky lights, very atmospheric. Ordinary people would miss the hushed whispers of hidden occults exchanging information...also, they have their own residential tower!

Perlas' hut is humble and simple. She is a mermaid, living in Sulani. She cares little for money and mansions and penthouses, because the real riches for her is her home, the ocean.

From over the top penthouses of the vampires, to old money mansion of the Vanderburgs, to a home built by luck and hard work of the Davises, to a mermaid's humble home by the ocean - to me, all of it reflects your sims' character.

which should be the Canon/Main Timeline for Vizerxa & Sidera's final fight?

Them basically killing each other (Sidera successfully kills Vizerxa, except the Doomsday amulet is already shattered & the power vanished with her, & Clara cancels out sidera's power so she can't rewind time. Exeveru manages to arrive & kill Sidera bc she's too dangerous to be kept alive) (current canon timeline)

or

Zenza interfering when Vizerxa's severely hurt & possessing Vizerxa, stealing Sidera's power & killing her. Zenza's excess power keeps Vizerxa stable & Zenza takes Doomsday's Power from Vizerxa. Vizerxa falls into a coma for a few months while recovering, but does survive. (based on the end of Fall Little Wendy Bird Fall by Lydia the Bard, which in general I've based most of Zenza's one-sided hatred of Sidera on)
