CH. 2

"Roman, I can explain!" You start

"Becky can you please take your goddaughter , I think Y/n and I need to talk" he asked handing Luna to her Aunt Becky.

You followed Roman to his locker room so the two of you could talk in private.

"When were you gonna tell me you were pregnant Y/n!?" Roman nearly shouted

" There is never a right time in this business you know that I'm on the road constantly, I'm literally home a day or two week Y/n " he said slightly more calm

"I know, I've been trying to tell your for two weeks now, its just I get nervous and then today in my room I had the courage down and was about to but your phone rang and I don't know Ro,I'm sorry! You say in a whole breath.

" Two weeks? When did you find out? How far along are you Y/n?" He asked his voice getting louder again.

"I found out about three weeks ago. I'm about 10 weeks along now, I was 8 when I went to the doctor." You tell him

"So that takes us back to what?, July? " he asked

"I figured mid to or even the end of June right around the time…" Your voice breaks trying your very hardest to hold tears back.

"Oh man, baby come here" Roman says pulling you into his chest remembering all too well what happened back in June.

**June 18**

You sat in the hospital room next to your mother who had been rushed here two days before when your sister called you frantic saying she had taken a turn for the worst. After many tests and scans the Doctors told you and your family there wasn't much left to do it was in God's hands now.

So here you sat tears streaming down your face begging God not to take your best friend away from you. You started talking to your mother hoping she could hear you telling her about the funny things Luna has been doing lately. Laughing along to a story the other day when she tried drinking from the dogs water bowl.

" I'm doing my best son , take my baby home try to get her to relax please!" your father asked

Roman had taken you to the beach house you shared a few miles away so you could sleep and eat and rest a little.Roman had ordered from your favorite restaurant, he ran you a bath and even set the hot tub up for you to relax some more. You sat in the hot tub for about 15 mins before Roman came to check on you making sure you didn't need anything you loved how concerned he was about you and missed how he sweet he could be.

Telling you over and over how it would all be okay and you'd get through this because he'd be by your side as long as you needed him.

*Present Day*

Roman held you for a while until you had calmed down and were ready to finish the conversation.

" So June? I guess that would mean your due date is around March?" Roman asked

" March 21st to be exact" you reply

Roman placed his hands on your face wiping a few stray happy tears away, then taking your lips in his kissing you. You kissed back whether it was you being caught up in the moment or just because you missed him you kissed him back a part of you not wanting to pull away.

this is so embarrassing but do any of y’all have tips for training really aggressive dogs :[

essentially my baby, Luna, is MEANMEAN. She hates new people and I’m worried that one day she’ll bite someone and we’ll lose her. we adopted her as a 3-4 month old puppy from a shelter about 4 years ago and, as I was young and very stupid/ignorant, I never properly socialized her with people. at first, we thought it was just due to trauma from whoever she first belonged to (bc her tail had been docked and from what the shelter workers told us, it happened when she was way too young)

however, it’s becoming more and more stressful with Luna. it’s 100% NOT HER FAULT that she’s so protective, and I’m so mad at myself for never trying to do better earlier. she’s my little princess, I can’t lose her if she snaps because it would be my fault. I’d be condemning the little puppy that brings me so much joy every fucking day because I was an ignorant teenager who wanted another dog

if this helps at all, advice wise, she is deathly afraid of water and has been since we adopted her. and again, as far as we know, her tail was cut off when she was far too young. we have no clue what her background is besides the fact that she is a boxer and lab mix

I walk her at least once a day, train her normally, and never physically correct her. the trainers in my area either don’t work with aggressive dogs or cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars. I’m trying to save up for one that’ll cost a good $1050.00 but until that goal is reached I have to keep working hard to correct some of the issues now

please don’t try and say Luna is just being mean because she wants to be - it’s my fault and mine alone. she’s completely innocent in all of this and it’s my job to fix it.

Teddy smiles with a nod, “Or we should ask Tatum if we can borrow or rent her place since she seems to be staying for a while. Apparently she’s on one of Gabe’s tracks.”

Jade raises her brows and grins, “Ohh, that’s awesome! But I doubt that Tatum will want us to have sex in her bed.”

He chuckles and nods his head, “Good point.”

She grins, “I think I might be able to get us a hookup if you don’t mind me taking the lead on this?”

Jade puts bubbles into the bath before stopping the water and she sits on the edge of the tub as she waits for him.

Teddy smiles and hugs her close, “Of course.”

Jade smiles to herself, and rubs his arms.

He kisses behind her ear, “I believe you could’ve done it without me.”

She smiles at his touch, "I appreciate you."

Teddy smiles and leans his head against hers, “And I appreciate you.”

Jade smiles and rubs his arms. She reaches over the edge of the tub to grab her phone and she opens the camera to take a selfie of them.

He raises his brows as she grabs her phone before he grins for the picture.

Jade grins for the picture too and then turns her head to kiss his cheek.

Teddy smiles for the second picture and holds her closer.

She grins and then arches her back for the next picture so her breasts are out of the water.

He laughs and shakes his head, “Dirty.”

Jade smirks and texts them to him, "Well, you're gonna miss me while I'm in New York won't you?"

Damian, Julian and Issac were asleep on the couch taking their daily nap while the adults talked about Emiliano and Valentina’s most recent trip to California with the boys. They decided to visit Nick and spend a few days with him before heading back to New York. Somehow, you managed to convince Rafael to visit your brother the following month since you missed him a lot.

Going down the candy aisle, Damian started a big, one pound Hershey’s bar. Macee shooting her head with a sigh before grabbing the chocolate bar. Once the two bought everything or lunch and dinner for the night, Macee stop at a clothing store to buy Damian some underwear to try.

Once at home, Macee made dinner for the two of them. Damian wanted to help since Macee decided that they’d make some nice freshly baked chicken nuggets for the two of them. She made sure Damian washed his hands thoroughly after handling the chicken. The two sat at the kitchen table and ate the chicken nuggets and fries before Damian gave Macee a look.

“Mami? I gotta pee.” Damian said. Macee gave him a look and nodded. She followed him to the bathroom where he stared at the toilet. He was going to be a big boy, like daddy. Worldly Possessions: Lots of notepads for making lists (to-do lists, grocery lists, etc), about a million dog toys for Luna and Bear, lots of fancy coffee and tea making equipment/high quality tea leaves and coffee beans, a wine rack which is always kept full (some bottles fancier than others), and a laptop which he uses almost exclusively for watching Netflix and Hulu.

Pet(s): A white Miniature Bull Terrier named Luna. Other names include Lu, Lulu, Lala, Laluna, Lalalaluna (sung to the tune of Ch-ch-ch-chia), and Egghead.

Height: 6'0"

Hair: Dark brown, short on the sides with more length on top, always tousled in just the right way. Dakota swears he doesn't spend a lot of time on his hair/doesn't care what it looks like, but that's kind of a lie-- he uses pomade every morning to give his hair that "I don't care" look.

Facial Hair: He always has just the right amount of facial hair, and keeps it perfectly groomed. But of course, pretends like he doesn't really care or spend that much time on it~

Eye Colour: Hazel-grey, with hints of green.

Skin Tone: Slightly tan, thanks to a lot of time spent outdoors.

Clothing: Kota can be a very snappy dresser when he wants to be, with a good eye for style and a knack for putting together outfits. But a lot of the time he just goes with dark jeans and a t-shirt, which he also pulls off very well.

Distinguishing Marks: None really. A few scars here and there, but nothing particularly noteworthy.

H E A L T H

Physical Health: Excellent. He really likes working out, and since Luna is a very active dog, they often go on runs together and they do a lot of playing. Kota also likes to go to the gym a few times a week, and he's all about eating healthy, taking vitamins, etc. The only physical problem he deals with on a regular basis is migraines-- they get really intense, sometimes lasting a couple of days, and no medication, no matter how strong, seems to help.

Physical Abilities/Limitations: He makes a mean cup of coffee, and is also a decent cook, as long as he has a recipe to follow. He is also pretty strong, and has good endurance.

Addictions: Caffeine for sure. He would also say he's addicted to Harper~

Allergies: None that he knows of. He's sometimes eaten a meal and had his mouth feel itchy after, but he's never been able to narrow down what ingredient does it. And since it's not a serious reaction, he kind of doesn't care.

Mental Health: It's not bad. He has a happy life, he has a job that he enjoys, a long-term boyfriend that he loves more than anything, a nice home, etc. But he sometimes has this strange feeling, as if something is wrong or that things are just off somehow, but it always goes away after a while.

Job History: He worked his way through high school and college as a busboy in a local, family-owned restaurant. And after college, he got really lucky and basically fell into his dream job.

Fondest Memories: A few memories from his childhood involving his mother. Various memories with his childhood/high school friends. A trip to Canada he went on with his college boyfriend. Meeting Luna and taking her home. Meeting Harper (and taking him home)~

Personality Type: ESFJ-T

Sense of Humor: Kota likes to laugh and to make others laugh, and can be quite a goofball. He's serious when he has to be, but otherwise, he prefers to be playful.

Habits: He has a bit of an oral fixation-- if he wasn't so health-conscious, he would probably smoke. Instead, he likes to eat ice, or snack on crunchy things like carrots or celery, and he sometimes bites his nails if he's stressed out. When he laughs really hard (which is a common occurence with Harper), he often gets lightheaded and has to either lay his head down on the nearest surface, or just lay down on the couch or floor. Kota reeeeally likes making lists of any kind, and keeps a lot of notepads and sticky notes around the house for that very reason. He also sometimes leaves cutesy lists for Harper like, "Top 5 Reasons Why Harper is The Worst Boyfriend" or "6 Reasons Why We Should Have Spaghetti For Dinner."

Quirks: Kota is strangely picky about coffee and tea, though he tries not to be a snob about it and would never fault someone for drinking lower quality coffee/liking Starbucks/whatever. But for himself, he always wants the best, and knows how to make really fancy coffee. He keeps good quality coffee beans around, has all kinds of equipment so he can brew the best possible coffee, and he is always happy to make some/share it with Harper. He also keeps good tea leaves around, and makes his own blends of tea all the time.

Fears/Phobias: There are times when he gets this really bad feeling-- like something is wrong, but he doesn't know what, or that something horrible is about to happen. That feeling always freaks him out and it makes him very paranoid whenever it happens. He sometimes wonders if there's something wrong with him, if maybe he has some kind of mental illness, but it always goes away eventually, so he tries not to dwell on it too much.

Strengths: Kota is a very caring person, with a lot of love to give. He has a big heart and always wants to make sure the people and animals in his life know how loved they are. He's very demonstrative with his affection, giving lots of hugs to his friends, holding hands with/kissing Harper, giving Luna and Bear all the hugs and kisses, etc. He is also quite organized, always has things in their proper place, keeps good track of appointments and dates and such. It's very rare for him to misplace anything or forget something, especially if it's important.

Flaws: A lot of the time, Kota ends up with too many things on his plate, because he has a hard time saying no to people. He wants everyone to be happy, and he always wants to help, but that leads to him being overwhelmed, and he sometimes needs a reminder that he doesn't have to do everything. Kota can be really sensitive at times, often taking things to heart even if no harm was meant, or overreacting to anything he perceives as a criticism. This often makes resolving issues with him very difficult, though he generally does see reason once he has a while to think things over, and often realizes he overreacted and apologizes for it. He just doesn't handle confrontation well, that's all.

Hopes/Desires: A lot of the things he's wanted in his life have already happened for him. A nice house, a couple of dogs, someone he loves. Now all he wants is to get married to Harper and maybe adopt a kid or two. He just wants a simple, happy, peaceful life.

Self-Esteem: It's not bad. Kota doesn't tend to focus much on himself or how he feels about himself, but he is generally pretty confident in himself. At the same time, he's very sensitive and it wouldn't exactly be difficult for someone to break down that confidence if they wanted to.

Relationship History: Kota has been in several relationships before Harper, with only one of those being what he would call "serious." He had a few boyfriends during high school and his early college years, then dated one guy for almost two years-- they broke up after a really nasty fight where they both said things they regretted later. After that, Kota had a couple of casual relationships, a bit reluctant to get into anything more serious, until he met Harper.

Sexual Partners: There have been several, but none outside the confines of a relationship.

Thoughts About Sex: Kota very much enjoys sex, and Harper is, without a doubt, the best he's ever had. He has a pretty high sex drive, which I'm sure Harper doesn't mind~

Occupation: She was constantly job-hopping, taking whatever job she could get and then inevitably losing it just a few months later. She had a lot of retail jobs, food service, front desk positions, all kinds of things.

Religion: She kind of believed in god, but not enough to go to church or anything, and she didn't care whether Kota believed in god or not.

Quality of Relationship With Her Children: It was complicated. She cared about her son, but was not really fit to be a mother to him. She experienced a lot of trauma in her life, including losing the love of her life at a very young age. She never told Kota what he was, just kept it a secret and kept moving the two of them around whenever possible in an effort to keep him safe, but all that really did was make his life unstable and leave him unhappy a lot of the time. She also drank a lot-- she was never, ever abusive to Kota, but a lot of the time, he felt like he was more like the parent than she was. So, they loved each other. Kota misses her. But they didn't have the best relationship.

Not just a cat person

@goramidiot gave me a cute Ignoct Christmas prompt. I hope it is to her liking! :) Lots of fluff, a bit of angst but don’t worry! It has a happy ending. XD

Ignis knocked on Noctis’ door, shivering from the bitter cold. The puppy wiggled in his arms and licked his gloved hands. He looked at the tiny fur ball and smiled as he waited for the door to open. As the seconds stretched into minutes, he knocked again, much louder this time around and waited once more. The puppy looked up to Ignis before attempting to lick his chin.

“That’s quite enough,” he gently told the pup as he moved it away from his face.

It was risky to come this early and Ignis knew that. But he couldn’t wait any longer to give Noctis his gift. He booked the earliest appointment he could get to pick up the puppy and went straight to Noctis’ home afterwards.

It seemed like 10am was still too early for the young man.

Always prepared, although a bit saddened that his first delivery plan failed, Ignis reached for his spare key. The little animal started to get restless as it wanted nothing more than jump around in the fresh snow despite the cold. It took Ignis all his skill to hold the pup with one hand and open the door with the other without dropping anything.

He gladly put the puppy on the floor and it ran away down the corridor, all the way to the back door in the dining room. Its little nails clicketing on the floor were the only sound in the whole house, which meant that Noctis wasn’t up at all if the coffee machine wasn’t running for Ignis yet.

No matter. There were multiple ways to get the younger man to leave his bed on his own and Ignis was determined to see that miracle happening today. With his usual quietness, he removed his winter attire and walked into the kitchen before he started cooking one of Noctis’ favorite meals for breakfast.

The little dog, although very adventurous at first, didn’t wander too far from the man who brought him here. Ignis had to watch out to not step on it because the concept of staying away from legs was not something the pup learned yet. He gently scolded him, every time whispering to not wake up the owner of the place.

It was during one of those whispering scolds that Noctis found Ignis, the smell of bacon the sole responsible for him venturing out of bed with only a pair of boxers on him.

“Specs, why are you talking to the floor?” a sleepy Noctis asked. He rubbed the back of his head and yawned loudly before sitting at the counter.

“Ah, Noct!” Ignis was startled. He wasn’t expecting his plan B to be that successful yet. “Just a moment, please.” The sleepy Noctis watched curiously Ignis vanishing behind the counter. “Stop fussing. It would be done already if you would just stay put for five seconds,” he whispered.

“Iggy? What are you---” The young man stopped talking the second Ignis reappeared with the pup in his arm, a red bow around its neck.

“Merry Christmas, Noct.” The tall man smiled warmly, knowing full well the attention wasn’t drawn on him. Noctis kept staring at the pet, not grasping the importance of the words. “You can give him any name you wish, but I nicknamed him Umbra. I thought it suited him well and it had an interesting touch considering the meaning of your own name.”

“You got me a dog?” Blue eyes finally looked up to him, bright and fully awake.

“Take him already.” Ignis chuckled and handed the puppy to Noctis. Immediately, Umbra started licking Noctis’ fingers and chin. “He’s been wanting to give affection all morning and I’m afraid I had more than my share.” He watched Noctis laughing and smiling so much that no doubt his cheeks would hurt. Ignis savored every second of that moment.

Then, Noctis’ smile turned sad after a few minutes. “Does that mean you got assigned to that contract?”

“Yes.” Ignis checked the food for a second to make sure nothing would burn and slowly moved around the counter. “As you know, this means I will be gone for the next six months.” He did his best to focus on the face on the young man and not the rest of his body. “Although Umbra cannot do everything I do for you, I am certain he will take good care of you in my stead while I’m gone.”

“Is…this the only reason you bought him for me?” Noctis sat the little dog on his lap and kept petting it, unable to look at Ignis yet.

Ignis smiled. “Of course not. You thought I didn’t see that light in your eyes when Lady Lunafreya told you about Pryna? Even though you have adopted all the stray cats of the neighborhood by feeding them, you clearly wanted a dog just like hers.” He gently put a finger under Noctis’ chin and made him look up at him. “So, I got you Pryna’s brother.”

“He’s her brother?!” Noctis remembered the talk he had with Luna and all the pictures she showed him of Pryna, waiting for her to be ready to be taken home. He envied Luna so much because Pryna was so cute on those pictures and every time he was coming home, he was reminded of how empty it was and how lonely he was. Then he imagined having a dog, one that looked like Pryna, greeting him every day and he shared that thought with Ignis once. He never thought his boyfriend would go as far as getting him the brother of the dog he liked.

“I was lucky. It seems people weren’t fond of Umbra’s color so he was still available when I called.” Ignis cupped Noctis’ cheek and slowly rubbed his thumb on it. “I thought you would gladly take him in and give him the home he deserves. Was I right?”

“If my hands weren’t full, I would kiss you right now.” The young man smiled, happy that Umbra wasn’t Ignis’ way to force him to accept his long absence, but rather a well-thought gift.

And how could Ignis resist that smile? “Allow me then.” He gently lifted Noctis’ chin higher and kissed him softly. A simple kiss that led Ignis’ hand on Noctis’ naked hip, that produced a moan before the kiss deepened and somewhere along the road, Umbra was put on the floor and the cooking appliances turned off before the men vanished into Noctis’ bedroom.

The burnt breakfast was the last thing on Ignis’ mind.

“Think of it as a test.” He tried to smile, but his heart wasn’t in it. His plane was departing in about two hours and he had to go through customs, but leaving Noctis behind was harder than he thought. Especially when the other man was making that pouty face. “If everything goes well---”

“We don’t need more tests.” Noctis frowned. “Dammit, Ignis… We’ve been together since I was sixteen. I think it’s clear we’re ready to live together.”

“Let’s not fight.” Ignis sighed and put his hands on Noctis’ shoulders. “Please, Noct.” When he saw him nod, Ignis pulled his boyfriend into a tight embrace. He didn’t want to go. “I will call you as soon as I’m in my hotel room. I promise.”

Goodbyes were what Noctis hated the most. He never could have said goodbye to his mother. He would say goodbye to his father too often. Now, after one last kiss, he watched Ignis walked through the doors, leaving him behind for the next six months. Alone.

Alone?

A tug on the leash he was holding reminded him that he wasn’t alone. He looked down at the little dog who was wiggling its tail at him. He chuckled sadly and picked up the puppy he got two weeks ago. Ignis thought of everything for it: training classes with Luna and Pryna, vet appointments, food, toys…and a name.

“Let’s go home, Umbra.” Saying that name made Noctis feel a little better. As if Ignis was still here.

“You said it was only for six months.” Noctis did his best to not get mad because he knew it wasn’t Ignis’ fault. But the six months were almost up. He was supposed to come back in three weeks.

“I know.” Ignis sighed and rubbed his eyes. He looked tired, exhausted even.

“So why is it going to be another four months before you can come back?” He leaned back against his chair, doing his best to put some distance between him and the situation. Trying to not care. Just like he did with his father. It was the same thing all over again.

“I’m sorry.” Ignis said again. “We encountered problems and it is taking us more time than we first thought to finish our business here.”

“Uh huh.” Noctis looked away from the computer screen. He missed Ignis’ hurt expression. “So that means you will miss my birthday if you’re stuck there for another four months.”

“… … �� From how things are looking, I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it, yes.” Ignis pressed his lips together, something Noctis also missed because he was too busy staring at his wall.

“I have to go.” He said suddenly, surprising Ignis. He reached out to close his laptop when his boyfriend spoke again.

“I miss you terribly too, Noct.” Ignis saw the young man froze, his hand on top of his laptop lid. “I miss home. I miss you and Umbra. I even miss Gladio and Prompto.” He held a sigh. “Trust me. If I could come back as planned, I would.”

“Talk to you later, Ignis.” And Noctis flipped down the lid and pushed himself away from the desk out of anger. It wasn’t fair. Why would work always keep the ones he loves away from him? Wasn’t he good enough? Wasn’t he worth it?

He felt the burn in his eyes and a strangled sob escaped him. He missed Ignis so much. Every day, he thought of him. Whenever he wanted a cup of coffee. Every time he opened his closet and found his shirts hanging next to his. And of course…

“Umbra,” he whispered when he felt a weight on his lap. The dog looked up at him, as if it knew he wanted to cry. Noctis knelt and hugged his dog. Umbra grew up so much since Christmas. Noctis couldn’t just pick him up anymore. “I just miss him, you know?” He sniffled and hugged his dog some more, his comforting warmth and presence making the pain more bearable.

He would hug Umbra for a long time before finally opening his laptop later and reached Ignis to apologize.

It was the hottest day of July when Ignis arrived at Noctis’ home. The sun was up for only two hours and he knew his boyfriend was still sound asleep at this hour. So, he didn’t bother knocking and simply reached for his spare key to unlock the door.

He wasn’t expecting the barking when he turned the key into the keyhole.

Ignis hurried inside to hush Umbra. It worked surprisingly well as the dog immediately recognized his voice, but it was already too late. When he looked up, he saw Noctis standing in front of him, confused.

“Ah… I forgot that we have a dog now.” Ignis chuckled weakly, trying to pet Umbra who only wanted to lick his fingers and smell him. “My perfectly plan ruined by this almighty bodyguard. You don’t need me or Gladio anymore.”

“But…you said you still had four months to go.” Noctis still sounded half asleep.

“Never underestimate a man who made a promise.” The older man said and pushed his glasses up his nose. “I always said that you would be my priority, that work will not become more important than you. So, here I am. Although with three weeks later than my first promise but---”

He never could finish that sentence as Noctis pulled him for a kiss. Umbra barked a few times around his master before trying to snuggle between their legs.

“Welcome home, Iggy.” Noctis smiled, an arm around Ignis’ neck and a hand on Umbra’s head.

And Ignis smiled, one arm around Noctis’ waist and his hand reaching for Umbra’s fur and Noctis’ fingers. That was all the family he ever needed. “It’s good to be home.”
