WordGirl Fanmade Episode! - WIP

I'm more active on Instagram so my followers there are aware and up to date on the production of this passion project of mine, but I'm working on a fanmade WordGirl episode featuring my OCs Taylor and Michael!! Thought I should mention it here too :) I think I did briefly mentioned here some time ago but I can't exactly remember lol

Here are some concept ideas that would be featured in the episode. I let my Instagram followers decide which thumbnail I should use for the episode and they decided on Option 1! I may make more when the epidose is ready to upload, but for now I'm sticking with it. The script is currently done and I have started on working on the audio. However I recently lost the audio, sound effects and music two nights ago when editing. I didn't save it before my laptop crashed on me and I lost everything in that folder :( Which sucks because now I have to redo the entire audio for the episode. I was nearly done too, so this is frustrating!

On the positive side, this event has given me the opportunity to rewrite my script. I wasn't fully loving the finished script but felt compelled to go through with it since the audio for the animatic was nearly done. At least I can now go back and make edits to it without feeling guilty lol

I'm now currently taking a break from working on this episode since I'm pretty bummed out about losing the audio file. But I will be posting more about the process on here as I pick up production :) As frustrating it is to lose all my hard work, I've been having fun working on this silly little passion project. I love behind the scene of big projects so it's been interesting experincing it! I am just one person working on this so prouction will be slow. I'm very excited to post the finished project one day! :D

Are yall ready for some wordgirl drafts that i didn't wanna post cause they were either too cringy or too uncompleted? :D

1st one) i was super bored and i had nothing to do. Let this be a lesson for those without a thing to do, find a hobby or else you'll end up just like me😔

2nd) unfinished, considering the ugly rough sketches. this one needs alot of explaining but...nah. only thing you need to know is what it was inspired by

3rd) i remember someone mentioning that the wordgirl fandom went through a "lactose intolerant doctor twobrains" phase. So i wanted to make this. And i was gonna make it better but i lost motivation halfway through-

4th) alot of people consider becky a lexiconian princess due to her overpowered abilities. So i actually designed her lexiconian dress. I didn't draw her body btw, i just took a picture from the heatwave episode as a base to draw my design on her (lazyass😶). I didn't post it on it's own because it just didn't look interesting enough, and consequently not deserving enough for it's own post.

5th) this one of my concept design for becky in wonderland AU. Based off of the becky in blunderland fanfic. I wasn't in the mood to draw her in the original show's artstyle so i just used one of my own styles. also i swear i USED the skintone that the show provided DIRECTLY with the eyedropper tool. On god She doesn't have liver failure 😭

6th) also a concept design of how i think grown up wordgirl would look like. Simple, yet mature and authoritative. I didn't intend for this to look good, i just wanted to draw my design.

Does anyone remember that one AU where Dr. Two Brains removed Squeaky's brain and became sort of like a good guy? He had grey hair and looked so AWESOME and the person's artstyle was incredible! Perfectly mimicked the shows. I need help pls, I think they also made concept art for wordgirl and toby for this too!

But uhh, yeah, cute idea i had of what if I turn the rest of them into other unique alien species so it can fit with Wordgirl and Kid Math of them being from planets like Lexicon and Hexagon. (Originally, I was going to make Scoops also Lexiconian, but I need to see him differently).

(These Alien species are based on Future AU aliens/planets. Aka, where I based any other aliens on other educational/study based concepts. Like Violets species is from an art planet/race and ect. I actually have lore here on them. Except for the species of Rose, Scoops, and Tobey. Those are things that are not yet expanded on, but they are just brief.

Side Note:

I know that there’s a couple of AU’s already where, for example, WordGirl is the villain and the villains are the heroes (swap AU), or where WordGirl is taken in by the villains instead of becoming a hero (MegaMind sort of AU), but I haven’t seen anyone do a 2P AU. THEREFORE, I AM. Also if you don’t know what a ‘2P AU’ is, here’s the wiki definition:

Am I the only one that thinks this concept for a wordgirl episode would be amazing: if WordGirl continued, we got more character depth and then we got an episode/special where WordGirl or D2B (or anyone else) finds a cure/solution to D2B's mouse brain and they manage to get it off without harming him? And then Steven "goes back to normal" and he reunites with WordGirl. I think it would be amazing tbh
