So many times I've watched this season yet it always brings more surprises (and disguises)

This is really the rainbow season. Both because of the colorful outfits and scenery, but also due to the extreme queer energy surrounding the season.

Angie deserves everything.

I used to be very much "what if Angie and Jackie are exes" but due to them trying to make it very clear they haven't met, I have made some other theories. One is, that they are exes, but Angie didn't know Pablo until later in life - so both knew Jackie, but didn't know of each other. Second theory, Pablo and Angie knew each other at the Studio when they were students, but Angie dated Jackie later, maybe at university when she studied to be a teacher? Third theory, they didn't know each other, but Angie is in love with her now and won't admit it.

Adding on that, Angie really FLIRTED with her????? She flirted with no one besides Jackie.

Still wanted to know what happened to Esmeralda. Does she have contact with her daughter?

I know I didn't talk about Luty as much but I absoLUTY love them ;)

I realized how Marco and Diego kind of had the same approach of girls, with "never leaving them alone until they give them a chance", but Marco did it a more softer way.

Also, I did not feel much of any Diecesca vibes at all. They were good dancers, but not even as a kid I could've predicted they would've been endgame. I always assumed Marcesca would be endgame before I watched S3, especially how S2 ended.

Everything feels so hopeful and then you're watching 3x01 and everything feels... off... anyway <33

When Raph pulls you into his room, presses your back against the door, and buries his face in your neck, you can't help but giggle like a fucking teenager. You feel his hot breath against your skin as he speaks, and it makes you shiver, makes your smile widen so much your cheeks hurt.

“Been waitin’ all day to getcha to myself, doll.”

The earnest excitement in his voice makes you melt. Large hands trail up and down your sides, massaging and kneading, and then his lips find yours. You sigh into his kiss, slow and sweet like honey. The barest glide of his tongue across yours, the low rumble in his chest that manages to vibrate your mouth just a bit. It's driving you a little crazy, to be honest. You can't get over the fact that he can get you this worked up just from kissing.

Too soon, he pulls his mouth away and goes back to nuzzling into your neck. His hands tighten on your waist before one comes up to cup your breast over your shirt. You two have only gotten past kissing a couple of times before, so it pulls a loud, surprised squeak out of you.

Raph's other hand comes up quickly to cover your mouth, and your smile slips away as your eyes widen and your heart stutters in your chest. He murmurs into your ear, his breath hot against your skin, but the chill it sends through you this time isn't a good one.

“Shhh, you gotta keep quiet, baby girl. We're-”

No.

His next words are lost on you. There's a roaring static in your mind as sick panic takes over. It blurs your vision, distorts what you're hearing. You can't focus. You can't breathe. You can't move.

You're not there. Raph isn't him. Don't- don't slip back there, don't- no no no no-

Someone is standing over you. You're dizzy. Silent. As still as a statue. You feel their hand lift from your mouth, but you don't react.

Keep quiet. Keep quiet. Keep quiet.

You're aware of your heartbeat jackrabbiting against your ribs. You're aware that the person is talking to you again. You're aware of the barbed wire that's wrapping around your lungs and tightening. Tightening.

Keep quiet.

When Raph lifts his head to look at you, he freezes.

Something is… very, very wrong.

Your eyes are glossy, the faraway look causing alarm bells to blare in his head. You're not even blinking. Silent tears start to track down your face, and when he realizes how tense you are under his touch, he pulls away immediately. Raph says your name, tentative and quiet, and when you don't react, that's when he really truly starts to panic.

He says your name again, a little louder. You don't respond. Again. His hand hovers in the air between you, unsure and confused and fuck, what happened? What did he do? What does he do?

Carefully, he tries to take your limp hand in his. The moment he makes contact with your skin, you whimper and jolt back against the door in a full-body flinch. He yanks his hand back and watches in horror as you start to visibly tremble. The sight actually makes him nauseous, has him backing away from you and trying to make himself as non-threatening as possible.

What happened?

Are you… are you actually scared of him? The thought lodges his heart in his throat. Has his chest aching with something like betrayal, but no that… doesn't actually make sense?

“I'm not gonna hurtcha, sweetheart. You know that right?”

You don't respond. God, what has he done?

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. You probably didn't want him to touch you like that. He went too far too quickly. You- you probably want him to go and are too scared to say- but he's stuck! You're blocking the door! He can't- he doesn't want to move you so he can leave, but he doesn't want to keep scaring you, but he- but, but no, it still doesn't make sense. If you were actually scared of him, you wouldn't have been- this whole time with- what the fuck is going on?

He's stuck. Well and truly stuck. He can't talk to you, he can't touch you, he can't give you any more space than he already is. He's terrified, terrified, of making things worse.

So he waits.

Awareness returns to you slowly, and control returns even slower. It burns when you blink. Your muscles ache, exhaustion weighing you down like chains. It's harder than it should be to raise your hand and wipe at your eyes, to keep yourself standing upright.

You realize all at once what happened, and the mortification of it happening in front of Raphael has you covering your face in hot shame.

Wait. Raph. Where..?

You lift your head from your hands to look around the room. When you spot him, your heart clenches painfully in your chest. He's sitting in the furthest corner of the room, hunched in on himself, his arms circled around his knees and his head ducked low.

Making himself small.

You swallow, trying to shake away the fog in your brain enough to go to him. Your legs feel like jelly, but you manage it without falling. When you kneel and place a hand on his arm, his head jerks up in surprise, and you see that he's been… crying.

He's talking before you can open your mouth, each word a knife between your ribs, each break in his voice taking the knife and twisting.

“I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I know that I'm- I guess I just thought- I'm sorry. I went too far, I didn't- I shoulda- I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry-”

“Hey,” you croak, wincing when he flinches at your wrecked voice. “No, Raphie. No. That was… not your fault, okay? It's a me problem. I should've told you- uh. There's just certain things that can…” You sigh, not yet thinking clearly enough to have this conversation.

You mentally kick yourself. You should've told him before it ever became an issue, but. When people find out, they… look at you differently. You wanted to hold onto that normalcy a little longer. Put it off just a little more. But the look in his eyes - confusion, fear, regret - it hurts to see. Hurts to know that this could've been avoided if you'd sucked it up and warned him, told him the things that set you off from the beginning.

You're too tired to think straight. Still shaking. But you know he deserves an explanation.

“Can we… can we just…” Brain fog. Hell man. Focus, come on. Your hand on his arm tightens. “I'm not scared of you. I love you. I love you so, so much. It's not that you- I mean I- I promise I'm going to explain, but right now I…” The tears threaten to spill over again, and the frustration tangles in your chest like so much fishing line. You're fucking this up, you know you are. You really need to sleep. To get to a point where your brain can actually do its job. Are you even making any sense? Is he going to get fed up with you and- no, stop. Stop it. Raph is still staring at you, waiting, waiting. You try again. “I just need some time. Then I can explain. Okay?”

Raph's lips thin, his brows pinching together as he watches your face. He looks like he's in agony as he does so, but he unfurls a bit. Slowly, carefully, he reaches his hand toward your face. It stops just before he makes contact, and the hesitancy, the worry that radiates off of him, compels you to lean forward and press your cheek into his palm. Your tiny smile seems to bolster him, and after a moment he speaks.

“Whatever you need. Anything, okay? Anything.”

You close your eyes, raising a hand to press against the back of his hand cradling your face. He's so… tender. It makes the tears spill over again, makes something snap in your chest like a rubber band pulled too far. Your body flashes hot with embarrassment as you dissolve into ugly, keening sobs, but when you lean toward Raphael he's quick to wrap you in a gentle embrace.

He holds you close, letting you weep into his plastron and hold onto him tightly. He doesn't move a muscle, doesn't shush you, doesn't say anything at all. It's unusual for him, but then you realize. He's still terrified of doing whatever it was that set you off again. The thought has you surging up to wrap your arms around his neck, and he lets you. You try to tell him you love him again. It comes out barely intelligible, but he understands you anyway.

“I love you, too,” he whispers. After a long moment, he continues. “No matter what, okay?”

Your throat feels like it's stuck in a vice. Like you couldn't possibly push past it to speak. Somehow, you do. “Okay.”

okay. i am thinking about fuckin Old Tropes and how that could be applied to adventuring parties and such but let's go back to porter and jace adventuring for some reason... and it's not fun sex pollen monsters but. oh no..... they're in the mountains/somewhere freezing.... they get separated by a cave in..... oh it's so cold..... good thing porter's like a fucking furnace right....?

why does this feel more revealing than me saying i want porter to bark like a dog?

can i propose. for the drama of it all. maybe this is when jace and porter are helping out jace's old adventuring party. and jace and peregrine get separated from the others. and jace is like "ugh it's freezing, can you get the jackets out of my pack?" and peregrine (no longer under porter and the rest of his own party's watchful eyes) is like aw cmon jacey. remember the last time we were in a bind like this?

(the last time was a blizzard, they were snowed in at an inn with no heating, they'd run out of candles a while ago and jace had suggested that they share body heat)

and jace is like. pointedly ignoring him. and he's like "does your crystal have signal? can you text invidia and ysvelde and ask if either of know investiture of stone?"

and peregrine (lying) is like "i know for a fact neither of them do. we've got time until the rest of them dig us out of here, we could spend some of that time catching up."

and jace at this point is like "you're married. we're not doing this." because he's learned his lesson about fucking around with peregrine. he's not taking the fall for him again. peregrine made it very clear where his loyalties lie. and it's not that he doesnt want to, because god does he want to, but he just can't open himself up to that again. denying himself this is the hardest thing he's ever done. jace has always been weak whenever it comes to him.

and peregrine, growing frustrated because jace should be easy for him, is like "come on, what i have with aurora never stopped you before" and jace, who is extremely hurt by him bringing that up so casually, as if it didnt lead to his entire life imploding, is about to burn his last 5th level spell slot on an Immolation when porter and dagbert break through the fallen rocks.

and jace, just to throw it in peregrine's face, leaps into porter's arms and is like "you saved me <3 my hero <3" and really plays into the damsel in distress role. straight out of one of his bodice rippers. and porter (unaware of what has transpired) is like "you're freezing, let me warm you up" and holds jace close while he gets jace's jacket for him. and that night when theyre all camping out, jace and porter share a sleeping bag. just to make sure jace doesnt get hypothermia or something. obviously. which peregrine is so normal about.

Wooooo the rest of the team is finally done! Overall they didn't change nearly as much as Okoru, but I made a lot of changes in the little details and I like these designs a lot more :)

Uhhh ill put rambles under the cut bc the images already kinda make this a long post and ik most ppl probably dont care abt this stuff but I like talking about it! <:D

I tried a lot harder to make Kare + Sunai and Haji + Okoru look plausibly like siblings, aaand I think it's at least better? They have a few little nods to each other if you look hard enough :) I also tried to make them look less like the real world counterparts they were based off of, although tbh they still look too similar for my liking... oh well TwT

I was reaaally conflicted about changing Kare's weapon, and tbh I still am? But the ice cream ball was just too obscure and didn't really fit </3 Oh well, what's done is done...and probably nobody but me cares about this JKSDGLJSDG

I also actually drew the Hideout this time!! (Neighbor's Room equivalent) It turns out that I really like drawing areas as like concept art but not backgrounds lol so you'll probably see more of that? Maybe?

I know Doubloons sounds really. Cheesy??? But like its the quintessential pirate money ok it can't be anything else

first off, return of a legend: the beach hut

i was fully expecting the compatibility test to be more like the season 1 compatibility test with the zodiacs because that's fun but i guess that's less of a pot stirrer than a fun game to have. though the narrator poking fun at it i guess is making fun of the fandom for thinking it was gonna be horoscopes 🤣

so very obvious ass test though especially with the two answers only about the two guys you're pursuing, which I think is a missed opportunity to throw more lore about the guys in there. or at least make it not as obvious? really goes to show how surface level the characters are compared to, say, the Mr. and Mrs. Challenge towards the end of S2

I'm going for Jin and Max rn so I thought it was funny their personalities were boiled down to "funny" vs "extroverted" and my MC had to pick between the two as if they were mutually exclusive

anyway just nearly got Jin lmao

I'd like them to stop with the Claudia/Theo storyline because it feels like they've already decided they're done with each other and are ready to move on? However, Claudia being compatible with Theo on paper but like not really feeling it is an interesting idea. Like she feels she's got no other option to stay safe except for him and they like each other enough. Meanwhile Bea's settling for Liam because he's shown any interest in her at all. (Let them date each other if MC can't! They deserve better!!)

also I know that I joked about Theo being just some mildly attractive white guy to fawn over and settle for but the way that Claudia is just settling for him? actually upsetting like I'm so sorry, Theo 😟 I didn't mean it I thought he was fine after the first dates 😖

I'm kind of curious what it's like replaying on a straight route bc personally my heart hurts every time they show Claudia's little sad face but like I have to talk to Max it just makes more sense because MC can't couple with Claudia in stick or twist

i've already said my piece about Sienna, I love her design. I will admit though, her open mouth smile is a little stilted but people get botox so... not out of the ordinary lol. The bigger problem is how her hand on her hip is a little fucked up (color in between the lines, fusebox!)

as someone not on a Theo route, I really don't understand why he's sticking with Claudia unless he's got some personal turmoil he's working through and trying to actually reform his player ways. And I wish MC could talk to him as a friend and we'd see that. like in the way S2, you get to know Rocco's insecurity about never finishing university and Gary's anxiety even if you aren't on their routes

Anyway I'm still upset at the forcing MC to couple because she's single thing. They could've still had her coupled with Jin (or even with Hari it would work) and then she can either walk in single or with a casa boy. And then she's the main character: just say that the single islanders don't get dumped post casa (like it's SUPPOSED to be) because in that situation, she's the only one! Or if you need the numbers to be right, literally Emel is right there. She can come back to Oakley later if anything

still not the best stick or twist could've gone in terms of drama (or maybe that's just bc I've been looking at spoilers), but compared to S5-6, not too bad (I assume also s7 but tbh I did stop right at stick or twist for that season)

So fyi when I played Casa, I had my MC go for Shawn most of it, and then last minute switched to Max because I remembered she's a musician and I thought that would be cute. That being said, I wish it was like in the too hot to handle game where you unlock certain dialogue if you happen to have something in common with a character. Because why is Max explaining music stuff to my musician MC?

is Hari not an LI? Because they made him seem like one and then just all of a sudden we're not talking about him, it's only about Jin and Casa Boy. And I'm fine with not all the boys being LIs, but it is odd the way he's just shoved to the side in the story

Okay so I'm writing this as I'm playing and it seems like maybe he is. They just forget to mention him most of the time.

Hari and Hazel are a hot couple though. like I don't love Hari's design but like if he was drawn better?? I see it.

the swimming game is a fun idea but imagining everyone splashing around to get to MC is so funny. like I can hear it in my head and it's not the best game, but for the fictional game in the app it's fine.

although why tf is Theo suddenly interested in MC? I haven't been romancing him at all but for the chat at the pool I couldn't decide between any of the characters I'm actually kind of interested in so I had MC go talk to Theo and then he was also flirting? then the pool game he also thinks MC has the best chat?? sir I barely know you

The ways the stranger fucks with the archives team while they're slowly going insane from how much they've forgotten and no longer understand is phenomenal. I'm gonna miss Tim.

absolutely! unfortunately tumblr only let's to upload 30 photos per post, so now i'm posting the first gif tutorial since it was the most requested one! pls let me know if anyone wants a tutorial of other gifs <3

anyways, here's my tinder profile gif tutorial! (can be found here and here)

alright, let's start with making the gif. my gif's size is 540x540, after coloring, sharpening, etc. here's what I've got (also let me know if anyone wants a coloring tutorial!):

next, let's make the little square frame inside of it using the rectangular marquee tool:

so, add a new layer and using the tool create a square in the center of the gif. my square's size is 410x410. next up, left click > stroke :

and adjust the settings to your liking. here are mine:

(btw don't worry if it's not perfectly in the center, you can adjust that by pressing ctrl + a while you have selected the layer, then clicking layer on the top of the screen in the menu > align layers to selection > vertical centers and then horizontal centers)

next up, duplicate this layer! right click on the layer > duplicate layer:

now you should have two layers. for the bottom one, set it to difference setting:

for the top one, right click > blending options > gradient overlay

my settings were something like this, but you can play around until you're happy with how it looks:

now you should have something like this:

now the fun part! right click on that top layer that has the gradient overlay on > convert to smart object

and set the layer to color:

and there we go, we have a sexy gradient border/ frame/ whatever it is!!

next up, adding the text and little icons. so, I used this template for all of that, highly recommend it! all I did was play around with the text, I think I just used arial font and placed the job and location icons next to the text. then I placed the swiping icons onto my gif and centered them, so it here's what I've got now:

I think it's looking really cute but I wanted the icons to match the whole color scheme, so we're gonna do the same what we did with the frame to make it gradient. so what we're gonna do first is convert these 2 layers to a smart object to make things easier for us. select both layers > right click > convert to smart object:

now that we just have to deal with one layer, let's duplicate it (also renamed it to icons, so it's less confusing). right click > duplicate layer. we'll make one layer black and white, because it has some green, blue and red colors and we don't want that if we're sticking to our specific color scheme:

below the layers click on the little circle in the middle:

and select vibrance (you can also do this with black white, but since it's just simple little icons we need to make b&w, it's a little bit quicker):

my settings were these:

now let's select our bottom icons layer and the vibrance layer, right click > convert to smart object:

our icons are b&w now! now let's work with our top layer. select it > right click > blending options > gradient overlay

it's basically just like what we did with the border/ frame thingy, adjust the gradient settings to your liking, click okay and then once again right click on the top layer > convert to smart object > make sure the setting is color:

and now make sure the bottom layer's setting is difference:

and guess what?? we're done with our first gif wooooo!!

as I've mentioned in the beginning, tumblr lets to upload 30 photos per post, so I cannot include tutorials for all 4 gifs, but let me know if you'd like one with some other gif and I can totally do that. Hey Seo Seong Simp anon, we're pretty much all anon here anyway so don't worry about the impression you leave. Also, it's just fandom stuff, really not that serious. Tho I will defend anyone and everyone's OC and content til the day I die.

This has been a fantastic form of escapism and honestly anyone could dip out forever and it wouldn't really impact anything in the grand scheme of things.

Obv I will miss people and I already do (where is Yoon, where is Cat, where is 🐇 anon) but.. I guess don't overthink it? Easier said than done tbh. Although some people can be assholes about things, which is definitely a reflection on them rather than you. I do NOT mean to come off as flippant so sorry if it does seem that way.

WIP Wednesday

I was tagged by @greypetrel and @fiadhaisteach for WIP Wednesday. I have a couple of OC Kiss Week things cooking, but I'm saving those for the event, so here are some other WIPs. I'm still working on isometric tokens for a short module I'm running for some friends, Crypt of the Everflame (converted to 2e), and somehow they all made very serious joke characters (the one on the right is Thelo Rax, for example). I haven't done the bases yet and I still have 3 more to go.

Then I'm also (STILL) working on this character sheet for my Stolen Fate ranger (Level 15 now so those stats are outdated as hell lol). We're on Book 2 so I feel like I really do need to get this done sooner than later lol. Side note: the 2e ranger is *so good.* I feel effective at range and up close with either my longbow or my longsword, and I like the skills I'm trained in and my feats (CLOUD JUMP WOOOOO) and it really meshes well with our party and a lot of stories, I can tell. Side side note: I ran out of room for property runes on my +2 Holy Extending Cold Iron Longsword, but I have this Keen runestone sitting here just itching to be used... Anyone have 8,500 gold pieces or a free +3 runestone? lmao.
