Mads and Ayu are writing buddies, that’s just a fact. Y’know that poetry night you mentioned once? Ayu would be so up for that as he adores literature, he can get carried away with it and such. He’ll be there for Mads if she’s a lil nervous and everything and the both of them are generally supportive of each other’s works. They also share each other’s characters!! If any angst ideas occur, the other is just in utter pain like, ‘i like this, a LOT, buT WHY YOU WOULD DO THIS TO THEM??’

➭ since mads can be. a little bit on the secretive side about her writing and stuff, as she doesnt super want to share it with the world, i would. imagine the first time ayu hears about it is through nate tho? who heard about it from kit who knows this stuff cause they are definitely her biggest enablers tho lol. but this also ties it together why/how nate calls mads ‘fanfiction girl’ (just like he calls ayu the ‘violin boy’ mmmm) and ayu would probably overhear this in a conversation or nate just refers to mads at him with that and ayu is just. completely confused. until nate breaks it down to kit’s roommate and oops there it is

➭ ayu wouldnt like. be pushing the issue about getting to learn about her writing, hes just casually interested whenever mads is around with her notebook and such, until one day shes just. ready to burst cause she probably finished something finally and she needs to share it with someone and ayu just happens to be there when shes ready to lay down all the details of what shes been working on

➭ mads would also. very often go to ayu for advice and ideas? if kit isnt around, ayu is the next person she thinks about asking if things she does make sense or if things should be this or that way

➭ the poetry night tho! (i still really want this to be a thing asdkjansda) like mads is super tentative on even going, let alone participating in the readings cause shes like. super nervous and everyone is going to be better at it than her and shes just a mess. ayu is honestly probably the one person that could convince her to do it tho? like yeah cue in any other friends and/or significant others, literally everyone else would just be too loud and crazy cheering in the audience, but ayu would just be there like. more as an emotional than vocal support. just giving smiles and thumbs up from the audience and its way less stressful for her to deal with that these other screaming kids like oh my god kit and nate would be a good cheer squad but in this situation? nOPE

➭ also imagine like. mads sends something written with her characters to ayu in the middle of the night (especially in mads’ cases in the middle of the night cause thats how she rolls, all the best stuff ends up being finished around two or three in the morning tbh), just being like ‘hey heres a thing for you to read when you wake up!’ and it takes maybe ten minutes for ayu to respond cause hes up late studying and its just keysmashes and all caps ‘MADS I NEED TO STUDY FOR TOMORROWS TEST (you should also btw) I DIDNT NEED TO CRY TONIGHT WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS’ and thats just. how nights go regularly with them texting tbh
