Front Row Hearts | idol!S.Coups x idol!reader | fluff
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My fingers tugged nervously at the hem of my outfit as I stepped out of the car. The Loewe fashion show. My first big event as a newcomer idol. My debut had been a whirlwind, but this? This felt completely different. There were cameras flashing, people shouting, and my heart felt like it was pounding louder than the noise outside.
“You’ll do great,” my manager said, not even looking up from their phone as we made our way inside.
“Right,” I muttered, barely believing them.
“Oh, and by the way,” they added, far too casually, “you’re sitting next to SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups tonight.”
That made me freeze mid-step. “What?”
“It’s part of the plan,” they said with a sly smile. “You and him together? Perfect for the cameras. He’s already on board.”
My stomach flipped. “So… I’m supposed to just sit there and act like we’re close?”
“Exactly,” they replied, as if it was no big deal. “A few laughs, maybe some subtle glances—it’ll get people talking. Trust me, this is good for you. And for him, too. A win-win.”
————————————————————————————
Inside the venue, I was already feeling out of my depth when I spotted him.
Choi Seungcheol. S.Coups.
He stood near the seating area, dressed in a sleek black suit that somehow made him look even more confident than usual. He was chatting with someone from his team, but as soon as I walked in, his eyes landed on me.
He smiled, an easy, disarming smile that made me feel like maybe I wouldn’t completely embarrass myself tonight.
“You must be Y/N,” he said, stepping closer. His voice was warm, and up close, his presence was even more overwhelming.
“That’s me,” I managed to say, my voice quieter than I intended.
“I’m Seungcheol,” he said, his hand outstretched. “Or just S.Coups, if you’d rather.”
I shook his hand, hoping he couldn’t feel how clammy mine was. “Nice to meet you.”
His eyes lingered on me for a second longer than necessary, and his smile softened. “Don’t be nervous. Tonight’s going to be fun.”
———————————————-—————————————
The seating arrangement was exactly as planned—front row, side by side. Every camera in the room was aimed in our direction, but Seungcheol looked completely unfazed. Meanwhile, I could barely sit still.
“You okay?” he asked, leaning in slightly.
“Just a little overwhelmed,” I admitted, keeping my eyes on the runway.
He chuckled quietly, the sound low and comforting. “Don’t worry about them,” he said, nodding toward the cameras. “They’re not as scary as they look. Just act like it’s me and you.”
“That’s easy for you to say,” I replied, trying not to notice how close his shoulder was to mine.
“Hey,” he said, his tone teasing now. “If it makes you feel better, I get nervous too sometimes.”
I raised an eyebrow at him. “You? Nervous?”
“Yeah,” he said with a grin. “Like right now. What if you think I’m boring?”
I couldn’t help but laugh, my nerves easing just a little. “You’re definitely not boring.”
“Good,” he said, leaning back slightly but still keeping his gaze on me. “Because I plan on keeping you entertained all night.”
————————————————————————————
The show itself was stunning, but Seungcheol made it impossible to focus. Every so often, he’d lean over and whisper a comment about one of the outfits, usually something ridiculous that had me biting back laughter.
“That jacket looks like my grandma’s curtains,” he said at one point, and I had to cover my mouth to keep from laughing too loudly.
“You’re going to get me in trouble,” I whispered back.
“Trouble?” he repeated, smirking. “I think you’re blaming me for your terrible sense of humor.”
————————————————————————————
After the show ended, the photographers were still lingering, and Seungcheol turned to me with a glint in his eye. “Want to give them something to really talk about?”
I frowned. “What do you mean?”
“A TikTok,” he said, already pulling out his phone.
“You’re kidding.”
“I’m serious,” he said, grinning. “Let’s do the ‘HOT’ challenge. The fans will love it.”
Before I could protest, he had already opened the app and handed me the phone. “You know the dance, right?”
“Of course I know the dance,” I said, pretending to be confident even though my heart was racing.
“Alright then,” he said, stepping back and getting into position.
We started the dance, and at first, I was too nervous to focus. But Seungcheol made it easy to forget about everything else. He was playful, teasing me whenever I missed a move, and somehow, we ended up laughing more than dancing.
“Come on,” he said after we finished, reviewing the video. “Not bad, but I think you held back.”
“I did not!” I argued, crossing my arms.
“Sure you didn’t,” he said, smirking. Then, out of nowhere, he added, “So… are you a Carat?”
I froze, my mind going blank. “Uh… what makes you think that?”
He raised an eyebrow. “You knew the dance. And you’ve been way too quiet about it. So? Who’s your bias?”
I hesitated, debating whether or not to tell him the truth. But before I could stop myself, I blurted out, “Mingyu.”
Seungcheol stared at me for a second, clearly caught off guard. Then he burst out laughing, the sound loud and genuine.
“Mingyu?” he repeated, shaking his head. “I can’t believe this.”
“What?” I said, suddenly feeling defensive. “He’s charming!”
He leaned in, his grin teasing. “So I’m not charming?”
“I didn’t say that,” I muttered, my face burning.
“Well,” he said, still smirking, “I’ll just have to work harder, won’t I?”
————————————————————————————-
After we finished the TikTok, Seungcheol walked me to the exit. The crowd had thinned out, but the air between us felt heavier now—like something unspoken was hanging there.
“This was fun,” he said, his voice quieter now.
“Yeah,” I replied, meeting his gaze.
He hesitated for a moment before leaning in slightly. “We should do this again. No cameras next time.”
I felt my heart skip, but before I could respond, my manager called me over, breaking the moment.
“Guess I’ll see you soon,” he said, his tone light but his eyes serious.
“Yeah,” I said softly, watching as he walked away.
————————————————————————————-
When I got back to my hotel room, I barely had time to kick off my shoes before my phone buzzed.
A new message.
The number wasn’t saved, but the text was unmistakable:
“Dinner soon? Just us this time. I’ll even forgive you for picking Mingyu. —Seungcheol”
I stared at the screen, my face breaking into a grin before I even realized it.
Maybe tonight wasn’t just for show after all.

When you say your life turned technicolor when you started dating Wonwoo, you meant it both literally and metaphorically. Before him, life for you was black and white. A 24 hour rotation of the clock.
To put it simply, you just lived life as it is.
It's still a mystery to you how you manage to land yourself a wonderful boyfriend like him, there are moments it doesn't feel real. How could it be when your man looks and acts like he stepped right out of a fairytale book specially written for you.
"Hey pretty, I got something for you"
He swears gift giving isn't his love language and he knows you don't like getting such grand gifts, but time to time he brings home little trinkets that reminds him of you or something cute that he thinks you'll like.
Just the other week he got you shoes that matches the one he has, but yours was in pink. Very cute, you told him. He remembered you telling him you needed new shoes but couldn't decide what to get, you saw the pink version of his' and thought about getting those but you never got to doing so.
So a few days after that, he surprised you. The smile you had on was worth every dollar he spent. You even went on a walk with your matching shoes on.
Today it's something else. This time it's a cute yellow hair pin, perfect match to the scrunchie he got you before.
"You know my favorite color is purple, right?"
He chuckles at your question. Of course he knows. At this point there's little he doesn't know about you, from your little quirks, to your pet peeves to all your favorite, he have those all listed in his mind like his own commandments.
It also happens to be his favorite color too, so that helps
"I know, I just pick that one so I can easily spot you" he takes the seat beside you on the couch, throwing his arm on the back of the couch making you rest your head against him.
"Huh?" you ask, looking at him
"Just when I don't wear my glasses, everything else is blurry but atleast I can see the color. That way I know it's you" he smiles, playing with the yellow scrunchie on your wrist
"So you're telling me, you keep getting me yellow stuff so you could see me?"
He nods
You look at him before a smile breaks out of your face, taking Wonwoo's cheeks between your hands to squish them. Cuteness aggression taking over.
To some, Wonwoo might seem like a cold person, very nonchalant but that's the exact opposite. If you get to know him more, he's a big softie and likes to play practical jokes every now and then. One of the many things that made you fall in love with him was how easy it was to smile when you're with him.
Falling for him didn't feel scary. From your past relationships it always felt like a part of you was lost, like you're not you're own person anymore. But with him, it's different.
Wonwoo let's you be you. You feel loved just by being you.
"What got you thinking, pretty? Lost you for a second there" he whispers
"Just.. things"
"Want to share?"
It's cute he still asks, even after dating for some time he still asks if you want to share whatever thoughts you have in your mind instead of just making you say it. From day 1 he let you set the pace, no matter how slow or how fast you want to go he'll be right beside you happily holding your hand.
He tucks your hair behind your ear, cradling your face in his hands and you think this is where you feel the safest, the most secure.
"Just you, still wondering what I did in my past life to deserve you"
He shakes his head, leaning down to give you a kiss on the forehead. "I should be the one asking you that. I'm just happy I get to love you like this"
He watches you watch him, he knows you're still having an internal debate. Thoughts bouncing around in your head, sometimes that happens and he's always there to shut any doubts.
"You love me, correct?" he asks, you quickly utter a confirmation making Wonwoo smile
"You said, anything I love you'll learn to love too. Correct?" he asks again, you nod at his question
"I love you, more than anything in this universe. I love even the tiny flaws you think you have. To me, all those things are just... you. These cheeks? I love seeing them the moment i open my eyes in morning, pressed against the pillow making you look like a sleeping angel. These hands? I love how they hold me, keep me grounded when it gets too loud. Your laugh, especially the one that don't sound like anything because you're laughing too hard and you're so happy I cant help but smile too and make me want to make you laugh like that everyday."
He holds your hand in his, eyes looking straight into yours as he says the words. Each and every one of them is the truth and nothing but the truth.
"You, all of you I love. This mind, the one that keeps you up at night, makes you worry about the future that have yet to come and everything that could go wrong, I love that too. That's you, you and your nagging, your ups and downs, your mood swings and bad days. I'd have it all" He frees your hand so he can reach up to flatten the crease between your brows. You feel his fingertip ever so gently land on your forehead.
"Just once, even for a second I wish you see yourself through my eyes and know just why I look at you the way I do. If only you can feel what I feel because there isn't any word in any language to express it. Not yet anyways" he breathes out.
Before you, Wonwoo's life was monochromatic. Like a black and white silent film. And when he met you, that's when it all changed. He started to laugh a little louder, smile a little wider. You're the color of his life, not the overwhelming kind of color but instead the exact hues he loved.
"Do you ever feel overwhelmed with how you feel about me?" you ask him. He can hear the genuine wonder in your voice, instead of sugarcoating it for you he tells the truth because he would never know how to lie to you.
"Sometimes, I overthink too" he lets out a chuckle before continuing "Like what if one day I become too much, but I can't help it. I just want to do everything for you. Sometimes, I feel down. I don't want to make you feel that too so I just..." he trails off
He didn't need to say anything else for you to understand.
"Then will you tell me if you're having bad days too? I can take it." you tell him
"Love, I-" he pauses "I'm sorry. I know I'm not the most vocal person, I just don't want to burden you with my problems" he breathes out. His hold on you tightening.
"I'm your partner, I'm your girlfriend. Am I not?"
"You are"
"Didn't you tell me once you'd marry me"
"I did, and I will" he smiles, recalling that conversation in his head.
"Then talk to me, I don't care about the baggage, I don't care if they're too heavy. I'm here. You share your joys with me, then that's double the happiness. That goes the same with your sorrows, you tell me all about it so it's half the pain"
He smiles, heart filling up with more love for you he didn't was possible.
"You can tell me, you don't have to give it all to me. I just want to know if you're okay, or angry or worried or sad. I just want to know how to be there for you like you are for me" you tell him, tracing his features with your fingertips.
He hugs you even tighter, afraid of letting any space get between the two of you. "You being here is more than enough for me. Knowing I'm coming home to you is enough for me. You are more than enough for me, my love"
You didn't expect your afternoon to turn into love confessions but you wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

You know what the best part of marrying your best friend is?
Well, it's the unconditional love and acceptance. Even when he knows you snore like a freight train, or remembers those awkward teenage days when you looked like a potato, or how you cried over a simple injection for an entire week. He embraces all of you - quirks, flaws, and all.
I roll my eyes at my best friend slash husband, Seungkwan. He's at it again, playfully teasing me while I'm trying to cook breakfast. Despite his occasional antics, I've grown accustomed to them.
But what truly makes it special is how he loves my family as his own.
"Hey, mother. Did you know when I first saw you, I really thought you and my wife were sisters?" Seungkwan's voice drifted from the kitchen, mingling with the aroma of breakfast cooking on the stove. I smiled at the playful exchange between him and my mom.
Her laughter echoed through the room as she lightly swatted his shoulder. "You moron, how can you remember when you were just 3 years old when your family met us."
"Well, mother, ever since then… you haven't changed even a bit," Seungkwan teased, their shared laughter filling the air.
As I observed their easy rapport, a sense of warmth washed over me. They had effortlessly become family to each other, blending seamlessly into the fabric of our lives.
"Hey, my favorite father!" my husband exclaimed, offering a high five that my dad eagerly reciprocated. Their camaraderie was palpable, a testament to the bond they shared.
"My favorite son!" my dad retorted, a grin playing at the corners of his lips.
Seungkwan chuckled, his expression turning nostalgic. "I'm always glad you became my father! I always envied that woman in the back—" he nodded in my direction "that she had you as a father. Now, I still can't believe I became your son!"
"Of course, you will always be my son, even if you didn't marry that monkey over there," they laughed together, oblivious to my presence. "Now, hold this flashlight. Let's fix your car. I can't believe you're already grown but can't fix this."
My dad's laughter mingled with Seungkwan's, their banter a familiar melody that filled our home with joy. In that moment, I realized how lucky I was to be surrounded by such love and laughter.
"I've been looking for you everywhere, yet you were just there beside me," The memory of our wedding vows flooded back as I gazed at him, reminding me of the journey that led us to this moment.
Back in college, when we were both grappling with heartbreak and disillusionment, I uttered those words almost as a whimsical notion. "If we can't find someone who will love us forever, let's just marry each other instead." And in that moment of vulnerability and uncertainty, he didn't hesitate to agree.
Now, as I reflect on our journey together, I realize that marrying him was the best decision I ever made. Despite all the missteps and regrets of the past, he has been my constant source of love, support, and happiness.
With Seungkwan by my side, my life has changed in ways I never imagined. In moments of doubt or despair, he's always been there to lift me up. It's almost as if he was the answer to my prayers all along, and I was just too blind to see it.
In him, I found not just a partner, but my soulmate, my confidante, my rock. And as we stand here, enveloped in each other's arms, I know with unwavering certainty that our love will continue to light the path ahead, guiding us through whatever challenges may come our way.

A day at the theme park

🎀 : Theme park date with Wonwoo

It was a bright Saturday morning, the kind that promised a perfect day for a trip to the theme park. You'd been looking forward to this all week, and Wonwoo had even cleared his schedule to make sure you both had the whole day to explore, ride roller coasters, and eat way too much junk food.
When he picked you up, you couldn't help but smile. Wonwoo had a relaxed charm about him, and he made even the simplest things feel special. He greeted you with a gentle kiss on the cheek, then opened the car door for you. "Ready for a fun day?" he asked, his eyes bright behind his glasses.
"Ready as I'll ever be," you replied, grinning as you got into the car. You could tell he was just as excited as you were.
The drive to the theme park was filled with light conversation and laughter. Wonwoo had a playlist of your favorite songs playing, and you both sang along, not caring if you hit a few wrong notes. It was just one of the things you loved about him—he was so easygoing, and you always felt comfortable around him.
When you arrived at the theme park, it was bustling with people. The sights and sounds of the park brought back memories from when you were a kid—bright colors, the smell of popcorn, and the distant screams of people on the rides. Wonwoo paid for your tickets, then handed you a map. "Where do you want to go first?" he asked, holding your hand as you walked through the entrance.
"Let's start with the roller coasters," you suggested, pointing to the map. "The lines will be shorter in the morning."
Wonwoo nodded, leading the way. You admired how he weaved through the crowd, always keeping you close to his side. You passed by the various stalls and games, each one vying for attention with bright lights and loud music.
The first roller coaster was an old wooden one, known for its bumpy ride and sharp turns. You joined the line, which wasn't too long yet, and waited your turn. Wonwoo stood beside you, his arm around your shoulders. "You sure you're not scared?" he teased, noticing the hint of nervousness in your eyes.
"Me? Scared?" you replied, trying to sound confident. "I'm just... excited."
"Don't worry, I'll be right beside you," he said, giving your shoulder a comforting squeeze.
When it was your turn, you both climbed into the front car of the roller coaster. As it started to climb the first hill, you felt your heart racing with anticipation. The view from the top was breathtaking, but the drop that followed was even more exhilarating. You screamed with joy as the coaster plunged down, whipping around sharp bends and rattling over the wooden tracks.
Wonwoo laughed beside you, clearly enjoying the ride. "That was awesome!" he shouted as the coaster came to a stop. "Let's do it again!"
"We'll have to try the other rides first," you replied, still catching your breath. "We have a lot of ground to cover."
The rest of the day was a blur of excitement and laughter. You rode more roller coasters, each one more intense than the last. Wonwoo was always there, holding your hand and cheering you on. He seemed to know exactly when you needed encouragement and when to let you enjoy the thrill on your own.
At lunchtime, you found a quiet spot near a fountain to eat. Wonwoo had picked up some classic theme park food—corn dogs, fries, and cotton candy. You sat on a bench, enjoying the sunshine and the sound of the water. "This is perfect," you said, taking a bite of your corn dog.
"It really is," Wonwoo agreed, smiling as he watched you. "I'm glad we did this."
After lunch, you decided to try some of the games. Wonwoo had a knack for the ring toss, and he quickly won you a stuffed animal—an adorable panda that you immediately named "Pandy." He handed it to you with a playful bow. "For you, my lady," he said with a grin.
You laughed, hugging the stuffed animal. "Thank you, kind sir," you replied, playing along. "You're quite the talented gamer."
The day continued with more rides, games, and sweet treats. You tried the spinning teacups, the Ferris wheel, and even the haunted house. Throughout it all, Wonwoo was by your side, making you laugh and feel like the luckiest person in the world.
As the sun began to set, the theme park took on a magical quality. The lights came on, casting a warm glow over everything.
The day at the theme park had been amazing—roller coasters, games, and all the classic snacks you could eat. As the sun began to set, the park took on a new life. The lights came on, casting a warm glow over everything, and the air filled with the scent of popcorn and cotton candy.
Wonwoo had been an amazing companion throughout the day, his easygoing attitude and gentle humor making everything feel just right. As you walked through the park, he held your hand, pointing out the different rides and attractions, always finding ways to make you laugh.
When you reached the Ferris wheel, Wonwoo stopped and turned to you with a playful grin. "How about a ride?" he asked, nodding toward the towering wheel. "It's a perfect way to end the day."
You nodded, your heart racing with excitement. The Ferris wheel was one of your favorite rides, and there was something romantic about watching the sunset from high above the park.
The line wasn't long, and soon you and Wonwoo were seated in one of the wheel's brightly colored gondolas. As it slowly rose into the air, you could see the entire park spread out below, the lights twinkling in the gathering dusk.
"This is beautiful," you said, leaning against Wonwoo's shoulder. The view was stunning, with the sun dipping below the horizon and the city lights starting to come alive in the distance.
"Yeah," Wonwoo replied, his voice soft. "It's even better because I'm here with you."
The Ferris wheel continued to rise, and the park grew smaller beneath you. As you reached the top, the world seemed to slow down, the only sound the gentle creaking of the wheel and the distant laughter from below.
Wonwoo turned to you, his eyes reflecting the soft glow of the setting sun. "I had a great time today," he said, his voice full of warmth. "Thanks for coming with me."
"I had a great time too," you replied, meeting his gaze. "Thanks for bringing me."
He leaned in closer, his expression gentle and full of affection. "I really like you," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
"I really like you too," you replied, feeling a flutter of butterflies in your stomach.
And then, as the Ferris wheel paused at the top, Wonwoo kissed you. It was a soft, tender kiss, filled with all the warmth and affection you'd come to know from him. The world seemed to melt away, leaving just the two of you, high above the park, sharing a moment that felt like it was meant to be.
When the kiss ended, you felt a rush of warmth, a feeling that this was just the beginning of something amazing. Wonwoo smiled at you, his eyes full of joy. "I'm glad we're here," he said.
"Me too," you replied, still feeling the warmth of the kiss.
The Ferris wheel slowly descended, bringing you back to the reality of the bustling park below. But you knew that, no matter where you went from here, this moment would always be special. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day.

parts from the maestro mv that i love
the metronome building/set oh my godd
the claw machine with the vocal team in front of the piano. its hand on the piano then a few scenes after, woozi is seen sitting in front and playing the piano
woozi wearing the classic rogue clothes: black jacket with its hood on his head as if hiding him
wonwoo's part and him singing slow and syllabic contrary to the beat playing which is so quick as if urging the listener to be quick but cant because wonwoo is singing slow compared to it
the ending pose!!! they used the 4/4 time signature conducting pattern then ended the song like a real maestro would
hoshi being arrested bc it seemed like the robots found out he's a real human trying to control them
the creation of adam reference with shua and the claw machine
woozi being surrounded by instruments as if cornering him
the "moving too fast" notification appearing bc the machine/robots can't keep up with seventeen's pace (be it in music or in their creativeness)
vocal team having a secret group of human musicians in the orchestra chamber but their leader (woozi) is not there but a robot claw machine instead, hiphop team trying to finding it (mingyu) or protecting it (wonwoo), perf team infiltrating the robots/machines to take a lead from the inside

Moonlit Whispers

The Quiet Before the Storm
The tension in the cave hung thick, an unspoken truce holding them together while resentment and confusion lingered just beneath the surface. She sat with her knees pulled to her chest, her head tilted back against the stone wall as she stared at the flickering shadows cast by the fire Wonwoo had built.
He stayed near the entrance, his back turned to her, though his senses were fixed on her every movement. The rustle of her jacket, the subtle shift of her breathing, even the way her heartbeat quickened when her thoughts wandered—he heard it all. It clawed at him, the bond demanding he close the distance between them. But he couldn’t. Not yet.
Not when she still looked at him like he was a monster.
She sighed heavily, her voice cutting through the oppressive silence. “I can’t sleep here.”
Wonwoo turned slightly, his amber eyes catching the firelight. “It’s safe. You’ll be fine.”
“I didn’t say I wasn’t safe,” she snapped, her tone sharper than she intended. She hesitated, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her sleeve. “I said I can’t sleep here. On the floor. Like an animal.”
Her words stung more than they should have, but Wonwoo kept his expression neutral. “What do you want me to do about it?”
She glared at him. “I don’t know. You’re the one who dragged me here. Figure it out.”
For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then Wonwoo sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. “Fine. There’s… another place.”
She raised an eyebrow, skeptical. “Another cave?”
“No.” He hesitated, as if weighing the consequences of his next words. “The pack house.”
The walk through the forest was silent but charged, the only sounds the crunch of leaves beneath their feet and the occasional hoot of an owl. Wonwoo walked ahead, his broad shoulders cutting an imposing figure against the moonlight. She followed a few paces behind, her arms wrapped tightly around herself to keep warm.
“The pack house,” she said suddenly, breaking the quiet. “Is that where you live?”
Wonwoo glanced over his shoulder. “Sometimes.”
“Sometimes?”
He didn’t answer immediately, his gaze fixed on the path ahead. “I stay there when I need to. Usually, I keep to myself.”
She frowned, his vague answers only fueling her frustration. “Why?”
“Because it’s easier that way,” he said simply.
She didn’t press further, though his response left her unsettled. There was a sadness to his words, a weight that she couldn’t quite place.
The pack house came into view as they emerged from the dense forest. It was larger than she expected, a sprawling log cabin with wide windows that glowed softly in the dark. Despite its rustic appearance, there was an air of quiet power about it, as though it were more than just a house.
“Is anyone else here?” she asked, her voice hushed.
“No,” Wonwoo said. “The others are out.”
She wanted to ask who “the others” were, but the exhaustion pressing against her temples won out. She followed him inside, her breath hitching slightly as she took in the interior. The space was warm and inviting, with high ceilings and a stone fireplace that cast golden light across the polished wood floors.
“This way,” Wonwoo said, leading her up a narrow staircase.
The room he brought her to was small but comfortable. A large bed with thick blankets sat in the center, and a single window overlooked the forest. She hesitated in the doorway, suddenly unsure.
“You can sleep here,” Wonwoo said, his voice low.
“What about you?” she asked before she could stop herself.
He looked at her, his expression unreadable. “I’ll stay with you.”
Her eyes widened slightly. “What?”
“I won’t touch you,” he added quickly, his tone steady but firm. “But if anything happens… if anyone comes looking… you’ll need me here.”
She stared at him for a long moment, searching his face for any sign of deceit. But there was none—only that quiet, unshakable intensity that seemed to define him.
“Fine,” she said finally, stepping into the room.
The bed was far softer than she had expected, the thick blankets enveloping her like a cocoon. She turned onto her side, her back to Wonwoo, who sat on the edge of the bed, his body tense and unmoving.
“Are you just going to sit there all night?” she asked after a while, her voice muffled by the pillow.
“Probably,” he said.
She turned to face him, her brows furrowed. “That’s ridiculous. You’re not a statue. Lie down.”
His amber eyes flicked to hers, unreadable. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
She rolled her eyes, exasperated. “I’m not asking you to cuddle me. Just lie down. You’re making me nervous.”
Wonwoo hesitated, then finally moved to lie on the far side of the bed, keeping as much distance between them as possible. His movements were careful, almost reluctant, as though he were afraid of breaking something fragile.
For a long time, neither of them spoke. The room was quiet except for the soft crackle of the fire downstairs and the rhythmic sound of their breathing.
“Do you always live like this?” she asked suddenly, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Like what?”
“Alone. In the woods. Watching people from the shadows.”
His lips quirked into a faint, humorless smile. “I don’t have much of a choice.”
She turned her head to look at him, her curiosity outweighing her lingering frustration. “Why?”
He stared up at the ceiling, his jaw tight. “Because of what I am.”
The weight of his words hung between them, heavy and unspoken. She wanted to press him, to demand answers, but something in his expression stopped her.
Instead, she closed her eyes, the warmth of the bed lulling her into a reluctant sense of security.
Wonwoo lay stiffly on his side of the bed, every muscle in his body taut as a bowstring. She was so close, her scent wrapping around him like a siren’s song, and the bond pulsed with quiet insistence.
He wanted to reach for her, to hold her, to tell her everything. But he couldn’t. Not when she already looked at him like he was something to be feared.
The wolf inside him whined softly, restless and unsatisfied. She’s ours. She’s so close. She belongs here.
But Wonwoo silenced it, his fists clenching in the blankets. This was enough, he told himself. It had to be.
For tonight, he would protect her. Even if it meant protecting her from himself.
The bed was warm, but her mind refused to rest. She lay on her side, her back to him, staring at the faint outlines of the window frame. The forest beyond was quiet, the world outside shrouded in darkness, but in here—in this strange room with him—everything felt louder.
She could feel him behind her, his presence as heavy as the blankets draped over her. He wasn’t close enough to touch, not even near enough for their breaths to mingle, but she felt him anyway. It was like the air between them was charged, humming softly with something she couldn’t explain.
It terrified her.
She closed her eyes, willing herself to sleep. But her thoughts betrayed her, swirling in chaotic loops. She’d been kidnapped. By a stranger. A stranger who claimed she was his mate. The word echoed in her mind, unfamiliar yet hauntingly intimate.
And yet… she wasn’t as scared as she should have been.
Her chest tightened at the thought. She wanted to be furious, to stay angry at him for dragging her into this madness. But her anger was fading, replaced by something else. Something she wasn’t ready to name.
When he carried her earlier, his grip firm but not painful, she’d felt… safe. She hated that she felt that way, hated that her body betrayed her even as her mind screamed to run. It made no sense. She didn’t know him. Didn’t trust him.
Did she?
She shifted slightly, pulling the blanket tighter around her as her heart thudded painfully in her chest. The memory of his eyes, glowing faintly in the dark, sent a shiver down her spine. They were inhuman, predatory, yet there was something soft in them. Something hesitant.
He had looked at her like she was the most fragile thing in the world, like a single wrong move could shatter her entirely. It unnerved her as much as it comforted her.
Her lips tightened into a thin line. She wasn’t going to let him know any of this. He didn’t deserve it, not after what he’d done.
“You’re not asleep,” his voice came softly from behind her.
She flinched, startled by the sound. “Neither are you,” she shot back, her tone sharp.
There was a pause, and she almost regretted the way her words came out. But then he spoke again, his voice quieter this time. “I don’t sleep much.”
“Why not?” she asked before she could stop herself.
Another pause. “Because it’s… easier that way.”
Easier. She turned the word over in her mind, wondering what kind of life someone had to lead for sleep to feel like a burden. She wanted to press him, to ask what he meant, but the words caught in her throat.
Instead, she said, “This is insane.”
“I know.”
She frowned, rolling onto her back to look at him. He was staring at the ceiling, his hands resting on his stomach, his features bathed in the soft glow of moonlight filtering through the window. He looked impossibly calm, but she could see the tension in his jaw, the way his fingers twitched against the blanket.
“You don’t seem sorry,” she said, her voice low.
“I am,” he said quickly, his amber eyes flicking to hers. “I didn’t want this. I never wanted to drag you into this.”
“Then why did you?”
He looked away again, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Because I couldn’t stop myself.”
The honesty in his voice made her stomach twist. She hated how sincere he sounded, hated that it made her want to believe him.
She turned away from him again, her mind racing. This was wrong. Everything about this was wrong. He was a stranger, a kidnapper, someone she should fear and despise. But she didn’t.
And that scared her more than anything.
As the night dragged on, sleep refused to come. She shifted restlessly, every creak of the house and rustle of the wind setting her nerves on edge. She hated this feeling—this vulnerability. She wasn’t used to relying on anyone, let alone someone like him.
Finally, she sighed heavily, her frustration bubbling over. “I can’t do this,” she muttered.
Wonwoo stirred beside her, his voice soft. “What’s wrong?”
She turned to glare at him, though the heat in her gaze was tempered by exhaustion. “What’s wrong is that I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere with a guy who thinks I’m his… whatever. And I can’t sleep because I feel like the second I close my eyes, something terrible is going to happen.”
His face fell, and for a moment, she almost felt bad. Almost.
“You’re safe,” he said, his voice steady but tinged with guilt. “I promise.”
“Your promises don’t mean much to me,” she said sharply.
He flinched, his gaze dropping to the blanket. “I know.”
The vulnerability in his voice made her chest ache. She hated that he could do that to her, make her feel things she didn’t want to feel.
She sighed, turning onto her side to face him. “Look, I just… I don’t do well with this kind of thing, okay? I don’t trust people. And I sure as hell don’t trust you.”
“I understand,” he said quietly.
“Do you?”
He met her gaze then, and the intensity in his eyes made her breath hitch. “More than you know.”
For a long moment, they just looked at each other, the space between them feeling both too wide and too close. She wanted to push him away, to demand he stop looking at her like that. But she couldn’t.
And for the first time in her life, she didn’t want to.
The morning light streamed through the window, soft and golden, casting a warm glow over the room. When she woke, for a moment, she forgot where she was. The bed was too soft, the smell of pine and earth too vivid. And then she saw him.
Wonwoo was already awake, sitting on the far edge of the bed. His back was turned to her, his shoulders tense, his dark hair a mess from a night of restless attempts at sleep. He hadn’t moved much all night, keeping a deliberate distance as promised.
The events of the previous night came rushing back, and the faint sense of comfort she’d felt while sleeping evaporated, replaced by the cold weight of reality.
“I want to go home,” she said, her voice cutting through the quiet.
Wonwoo turned slowly, his amber eyes meeting hers. They were softer now, the predatory glow subdued, but there was something in them that made her stomach twist. Regret? Guilt? She couldn’t tell.
“I’ll take you,” he said after a pause, his voice low.
She blinked, surprised by his quick agreement. “Just like that?”
“You don’t belong here,” he said simply, his gaze dropping to the floor.
She wanted to ask him what he meant, but something about the way he said it made her stop. Instead, she swung her legs off the bed and stood, keeping a cautious distance between them.
The walk back to town was quiet, the tension between them palpable. The woods, once eerie in the moonlight, now seemed alive with the sounds of morning—birds chirping, leaves rustling in the breeze. But none of it eased the knot in her chest.
He walked ahead, his strides deliberate but slow enough for her to keep pace. She studied him from behind, her gaze lingering on the sharp lines of his shoulders, the way he seemed to carry some invisible weight. She hated how much she noticed about him, how much her eyes searched for something familiar in his unfamiliar form.
When they reached the edge of the woods, where the dirt path gave way to paved streets, Wonwoo stopped abruptly. He turned to face her, his expression unreadable.
“This is as far as I’ll go,” he said.
Her heart lurched unexpectedly, but she pushed the feeling down. “Fine.”
He nodded, stepping back into the shadows. For a moment, she thought he might say something, but he didn’t. He simply watched her, his amber eyes glowing faintly in the dim light of the trees.
“Goodbye,” she said, though the word felt heavier than it should.
He said nothing. And then, just like that, he was gone.

You’re in your favorite café with a slice of chocolate cake and a steaming mug of hot cocoa. It’s your sanctuary—sweet, cozy, and entirely stress-free. That is, until Wonwoo slides into the seat across from you, wearing his usual hoodie and that slightly smug but mostly unreadable expression.
“Hey,” he greets casually, sipping his black coffee like it’s the nectar of life.
“Hey,” you mumble back through a mouthful of cake, barely glancing up. You’re trying not to think about how soft his hair looks today.
“So…” He leans forward slightly, setting his coffee down. “What kind of chocolates do girls like?”
Your fork freezes mid-air. “What?”
“Chocolates,” he repeats, his voice almost suspiciously nonchalant. “Like…what’s a good kind to buy? You know…for a girl.”
Oh. For a girl. Your heart sinks, but you keep your expression neutral. Of course, it’s for her.
“Uh, I guess…” You poke at your cake, suddenly uninterested in eating. “Milk chocolate is a safe bet. Might be boring to some, but personally it's my fave”
He nods thoughtfully, like you just revealed the secret to the universe. “What about flowers? Roses? Or is that…too much?”
You feel your patience thinning. How considerate he is. For her. “Roses are fine, daises are cute too. Or sunflowers” you say, trying not to sound clipped. “Why? Who’s the lucky girl?”
Wonwoo nearly chokes on his coffee. “No one!” he blurts, a little too quickly. “I was just…curious.”
From a table nearby, Mingyu and Hao exchange wide-eyed glances. You and Wonwoo complete unaware your other friends are also a the cafe.
Mingyu gestures wildly with his spoon, clearly saying something like, Are you seeing this? Hao just shakes his head, muttering, “Idiots.”
“Well,” you say, plastering on a fake smile. “Good luck impressing her.”
Wonwoo frowns slightly but doesn’t respond. He just sips his coffee in silence, while you silently curse the unfairness of the universe.
The next day, you walk into your first class of the day to find a small box of chocolates sitting on your usual seat.
“For me?” you whisper to yourself, picking it up.
It’s a fancy box, with a ribbon and everything. You examine it like it’s a puzzle, your brain spinning. Is this from Wonwoo? Or maybe Mingyu, pulling some kind of prank?
As if summoned by your thoughts, Wonwoo appears in the doorway. He stops short when he sees you holding the chocolates.
“Oh, uh…” He scratches the back of his neck. “You found those.”
You tilt your head at him. “You…left these for me?”
“Yeah.” He shuffles his feet awkwardly, avoiding eye contact. “You like chocolate, right?”
“I mean, yeah,” you say, your heart doing an involuntary somersault. “But I thought you didn’t like chocolate?”
“I don’t,” he admits, shoving his hands into his hoodie pockets. “But…you do.”
The simplicity of his words hits you like a ton of bricks. You stare at him, unsure whether to laugh, cry, or throw the chocolates at him.
From the other side of the library, Mingyu peeks out from behind a shelf. “Can you believe this guy?” he whispers to Hao.
Hao just shakes his head again. “She’s not getting it. And he’s terrible at this. We might actually need a miracle.”
Tumblr media
You don’t know how you got roped into this. One moment you were joking with Wonwoo about his gaming obsession, and the next you were sitting on his couch, controller in hand, with the eerie music of a zombie horror game echoing around the room.
“Are you sure about this?” you ask nervously
“You’ll be fine,” Wonwoo says, smirking as he starts the game. “Just follow me.”
You squint at the screen. “How do I even move?!”
Wonwoo laughs, leaning over to press a button on your controller. His shoulder brushes yours, and you momentarily forget how to breathe
“There,” he says, sitting back. “Now just keep up.”
Easier said than done. The first zombie jumps out, and you scream so loudly that Wonwoo pauses the game, laughing so hard he doubles over
“Okay, okay,” he says, wiping tears from his eyes. “Let’s take a deep breath. I’ll protect you, alright?”
You glare at him, clutching a pillow for moral support. “If I die, it’s your fault.”
Of course, ten minutes later, your character is cornered by a horde of zombies, and instead of helping, Wonwoo is laughing too hard to aim properly.
“You’re useless!” you yell, swatting at him with the pillow.
“You’re the one who threw the controller at me!” he retorts, holding his stomach as he laughs. It ended a few rounds later when you threatened to throw his controller out the window when he won't stop laughing at you.
Tumblr media
The next time you hangout with him it was like any other evening with your group of friends.
You, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Hao had gathered in the living room, sprawled across the couches and floor, the usual banter flying around. The air was relaxed, yet you couldn’t help but notice how quiet Wonwoo had been. You assumed it was just his usual introspective mood.
You were snuggled up on the couch, trying to avoid looking at him too much, your heart betraying you every time his voice sounded a little too close.
However, it didn’t take long for Mingyu and Hao to notice the silent war happening between you two. You were both pretending like nothing was going on, when, clearly, everything was going on.
Mingyu, as usual, didn’t have the patience to wait for you both to work things out on your own. He got up from the couch with a dramatic flair and walked toward the center of the room, crossing his arms.
“Alright,” he announces, his voice carrying a sense of authority that you knew meant trouble. “I’ve had enough.”
You and Wonwoo both look at him, completely clueless.
Mingyu takes a deep breath, looking between the two of you. “This nonsense ends today. No more pretending. I’m putting an end to this charade.”
“Charade? What charade?” you stammer, glancing at Wonwoo, who is equally confused
Minghao, who had been sitting quietly with his phone, lets out an exaggerated sigh, clearly more annoyed than anything else. He taps the screen for a moment before looking up, his voice dry as ever. “You two are hopeless.”
“Totally hopeless,” Mingyu agrees, then points directly at you. “You like him.”
You blink. “What? I—no, I don’t.”
“Oh, please,” Mingyu scoffs, rolling his eyes “You literally get flustered when he speaks to you. And let’s not forget how you always act weird when he does something nice. Like the chocolates he brought you? Come on.”
You glare at Mingyu. “You’re imagining things. I like sweets, that’s all.”
Mingyu leans closer, voice dropping to a mockingly serious tone. “Sweets, huh? That’s what they’re calling it these days?”
“I—” You start to protest, but before you can finish, Mingyu swivels toward Wonwoo with a pointed look
“And you!” Mingyu practically growls. “What’s with all the mysterious questions about what girls like? The whole ‘do girls like milk chocolate?’ and ‘roses or something else?’” He throws his arms up dramatically. “You don’t need a whole investigation, Wonwoo. We all know you’re talking about her. Stop playing dumb!”
You freeze.
Wonwoo, who had been fiddling with the corner of his hoodie sleeve, stiffens and turns an alarming shade of red. “I’m not… I wasn’t asking about her,” he stammers. “I mean, I… I thought…”
“Oh my god, he’s so obvious,” Mingyu mutters, rubbing his temples. He shoots a glare at Hao. “This is painful.”
Hao looks up from his phone, sighs deeply, then slowly stands up. “Okay, okay. I’ll handle this.” He walks over to you and Wonwoo, leaning in dramatically
“You two are in love with each other,” he declares matter-of-factly, as though he’s just stating the obvious.
You blink, your face lighting up in horror. “W-What?! No!”
Hao looks at you deadpan. “Come on. The way you two can’t look at each other without blushing, the way he buys you chocolate even though he hates it, and you, you’re terrified of scary games, but you still play them with him. Stop lying to yourselves.”
You turn to Wonwoo, who’s practically the color of a tomato. His eyes are wide, but he’s too embarrassed to speak. You feel your heart thudding loudly in your chest
“You... like me?” you ask, your voice trembling slightly, trying to hold back your surprise
Wonwoo shifts nervously on his feet. “I thought… I thought you liked someone else.”
“I thought you liked someone else!” you say, now feeling utterly ridiculous.
Mingyu, who had been watching this whole conversation unfold with the kind of smug satisfaction only he could have, claps his hands loudly. “Finally! Thank you, Hao. That took way too long.”
Minghao crosses his arms and leans against the wall, clearly satisfied with himself. “You two could have saved us all a lot of trouble, but fine. We’ll take the credit.”
You stare at Wonwoo, unsure what to say. The silence stretches on.
“So,” Mingyu begins with a grin, “now that you’re both on the same page… what’s the next step?”
Wonwoo looks at you, his face softening a little. “So… you don’t like someone else?”
You laugh nervously, glancing at Mingyu and Hao for moral support. “No, I don’t. You… you really thought that?”
He nods sheepishly, clearly relieved. “Well, I thought you were being kind of weird about everything, so…”
You smile softly, your heart racing. “I thought you were being weird.”
Mingyu claps his hands. “Look at that. You two are adorable. Don’t go making things awkward again, okay?”
“Yeah, no pressure,” Hao adds, “but seriously, finally.”
A week later, you’re back at the same spot on the couch. No more confusing, awkward questions. No more playing games to dodge the truth.
Just you and Wonwoo, finally figuring things out.
“So, you still hate chocolate?” you ask with a smirk, holding out a piece of your favorite chocolate, teasing him. It's cute because he got the chocolate, again.
“I hate it,” Wonwoo admits, but this time, he doesn't protest when you hand it to him. He takes the piece, chewing it slowly as he grimaces.
“You don’t have to eat it just because I like it,” you say with a laugh, watching him struggle with the sweetness
“I’m suffering for you,” he mutters, but there’s a fond smile on his lips now, something you’ve never seen him wear before
From the kitchen, Mingyu peeks his head out with a knowing look. “Told you it would work.”
Minghao follows him, rolling his eyes. “Do I get credit for this? Or are you two going to keep pretending we didn’t help?”
You roll your eyes playfully but can’t help the smile spreading across your face. You glance at Wonwoo, catching him staring at you with that soft, shy smile of his.
“Guess we owe them one,” you say quietly, not breaking eye contact.
“Guess so,” he agrees, his voice gentle. He reaches over, brushing a strand of hair out of your face, making your heart skip a beat.
Mingyu, hearing the sudden silence, turns to Hao and shrugs. “Well, they’ll figure it out.”
“Yeah,” Hao agrees, grinning. “They’re hopeless, but cute.”
And for the first time, it really feels like everything has finally clicked into place.

Is this Fixer!Wonwoo's enemy or Internal Affairs!Jay's mentor?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, that's Wonwoo's enemy for sure. Hotshot rookie for an agency like the DEA who has been tracking Wonwoo's associates. He's been shadowing Wonwoo for months, which is why Wonwoo ended up at OC's door looking for a hideout.
Now. I acknowledge that I always have a tendency to turn these things into a love triangle and that's probably a bad habit but... I can't get the idea out of my mind that Mingyu knows OC very well. Like he's her ex, still wounded from OC leaving him (that classic cop trope where he's too devoted to his job and his significant other can't deal), horrified to discover that Wonwoo's using her (or is he?), and maybe (definitely) jealous that she's chosen him instead. How far is he willing to go to bring Wonwoo down? 💕

hi how are youu

Tumblr media
A/N: I wasnt 100% sure if you wanted reader to be an idol too, or not but I will write them as such lol.
Your member's eyes fell on you as Seventeen's Wonwoo stood at your dorm door. He wasn't supposed to show up by himself or at all. Usually, his manager would come to the door to pick you up but that was when you guys had something planned. To your knowledge, there was nothing planned, but here 1/2 of your boyfriends stood. Basketball shorts, a white t-shirt, not even trying to conceal his identity.
"H-hey! What're... you... doing here." You broke the silence. Wonwoo's eyes scanned the faces of the people before him before coming up with a good excuse.
"Dino told me you played pretty well and my team is short one. I came to see if you wanted to hang out with us for a bit" Well, the excuse sounded good at the moment. The oldest member of your group looked at you in confusion. "I haven't even seen you run." They said and you rolled your eyes.
"I'll be out in a bit. Thank you for the invite!" You scurried to your room but not fast enough because now your roommate member was on your tail and shut the door behind them. "JEON WONWOO? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE? HOW DO YOU KNOW DINO?" Seeing as your group has been debuted for only 6 months, you can see how everyone is confused. "Dino asked me to do a dance with him for their new song for social media." You responded, finishing getting ready. Which wasn't a lie, that is how you met Dino, but Wonwoo was a whole different story.
When you were training, you decided to visit the Pledis building (when it was still active) for motivation, and as you were leaving Wonwoo came in. His eyes met yours and immediately, he fell in love. You noticed it was him but wanted to respect his privacy. To your surprise, he called after you and asked why you were there and tried to get to know you. You answered his questions the best you could but after 5 minutes, his manager began pulling him away. Wonwoo pulled away, well aware he had a schedule and gave you his Kakao to keep in touch. He let you know that he'd love to help you in areas you needed help and would support you in your idol journey.
"Y/n, your phone." Your roommate said, knocking you from your trance. The phone lit up.
jhw:
i forgot to tell you...
Then the text cut off for privacy. Quickly, you rush out the door and ignore the many questions coming from your members. When you find the car that contains your boyfriend, you rush to get in before any fansites recognize who you are. Immediately, you're met with an arm around your shoulders and a smug-looking Wonwoo. He was very obviously head over heels for you and you appreciated it so much as well as tried to show him the same affection back.
"Jun has a surprise for you when we get to his place." Ah! You never actually read his text. "I forgot to tell you that Nonu was coming! Wear something comfortable." Nonu was the nickname you both had for Wonwoo. Being as it was Jun, you could imagine he had something intricate planned. No telling if it had some obscure meaning from something that happened in your relationship that not even your younger boyfriend remembers or something new that barely anybody has ever thought of.
Arriving at the apartment, you and Wonwoo sat in the car as the manager knocked to make sure Jun was there. Once the door opened, you both rushed inside and the door shut immediately after. Jun's apartment was like a second home to you. The pictures on his wall consisted of pictures of the three of you, his family and mostly his magazine covers. He says it keeps him motivated to keep going but you nor Wonwoo were complaining. Today, however, you noticed a theme in the pictures he had up. It started with the very first picture he ever took of you. The photo was before the 3 of you started dating. As you and the brunette followed the trail of rose petals on the floor, the pictures became more recent. At the end was a kitchen table with fresh food set up and your blonde boyfriend setting the last bit of food and drinks upon the table.
"Wen Junhui.." You mumble. His eyes met yours and he immediately smiled. "Oh, hey Xiao Baobei" Jun greeted you, coming to hold your hand and sit you down at the table. The foods consisted of the first meal you and him had on your first solo date. Wonwoo sat on your right side and his hand rested upon yours while watching Jun as he sat on your left and Wonwoo's right. "No hey for me?" The younger nudged his boyfriend. Jun smirked and placed his hand on the nape of Wonwoo and said "Hello Da Baobei" A smirk crept up onto Wonwoo's face and he began to eat.
The food Jun prepared was impeccable. Tasting the meat alone brought you back to the time Jun had suddenly made his confession. Funnily enough, you and Wonwoo had been dating for 3 months, barely branching into the new romantic versions of yourselves (Really just you, Wonwoo had been romantic with you since day 1). Seventeen were well aware of your relationship and you had spent time with them on multiple occasions. At this point, you were occasionally their background dancer so you were no stranger. This particular day it was you and the 96s hanging out. Jihoon had recommended this amazing restaurant and he and Wonwoo went to get it. Back at the dorms, you, Hoshi, and Jun watched youtube videos.
Amidst you all sharing laughs, the other 2 members had returned with the food and you all began to eat and enjoy the videos. Jun sat on one side and Wonwoo on the other. You dropped a piece of meat and it bounced from your lap to Junhui's. Without a second thought, he picked it up and put it in his mouth. "Hey! That was mine." You shoved him lightly and stole a piece from his plate. As he went to return the complaint, Wonwoo jokingly said "Why don't you 2 just kiss already." YOU were well aware it was a joke. Jun, however, didn't and lightly gripped your chin, bringing you closer. To say the least, everyone in the room was a little shocked. Soonyoung was very anxious and didn't want his younger friend upset so he immediately said something to try to make it less awkward. "Jun.. uh.. i don't think he was serious." Hoshi began rambling on the context but Wonwoo stopped him, now looking at the red-flushed man. "You like y/n?" The eldest of the 4 nodded and then the brunette turned to you. "Do you like Jun?" Your bottom lip made its way in between your teeth. Wonwoo smiled and caressed your cheek. "It's okay if so. I can share baby." Slowly you nodded and the only thing Wonwoo had to say was. "Okay." and turned his attention back to the video. It felt a bit awkward after but due to the relationship the boys had, it was over fairly soon. Later that night, Jun actually pulled Wonwoo to the side and let him know that he also had a crush on him as well. He felt like saying it in front of the other boys would have made the tension worse and well, we see how everything worked out.
Back to the present day
"It must've been great." Jun jokes and kisses your forehead, taking your plate to wash it. "It really was, thank you both sooo much." You say. Wonwoo pulled you onto his lap and gave you a kiss, then Jun comes by and gives you both kisses. "Let's cuddle on the couch" The younger suggests and carries you over. Now Jun is sitting with his legs on the couch, Wonwoo in between them laying on his back with you on top. Jun's hands ran through Wonwoo's hair and Wonwoo's hands roamed up and down your back and your hands rested against both of them. All of your breathing fell in sync and in the words of the popular song, there's no place you'd rather be.

summary : wonwoo and sarang have been dating for a couple of weeks, but they never in a million years would've thought they'd have fallen this fast
genre : fluff, romance, established relationship, wonwoo x original character tws : very loved up couple (ew) author notes : i wish it was me, huh? word count : 1.9k

"sarang, i want you to meet my friends," the dark-haired woman looked up to the tall man, wrapping her hand around his lower arm, "they're a little much sometimes, but i promise they're nice."
she smiled warmly, "if they're your friends, i'm sure they’re great."
the pair's arm swung in unison, their fingers tied together tightly as they walked the streetlamp-lit pavement. the tall city buildings casted cover from the dew-like drops that cried from the dusk sky, but it wasn't enough to dampen their hair, or slick it down completely.
sarang had gone out on a few dates before, but what she didn't know is that none could even hold a candle to the way this man has made her feel in the short weeks that have felt like an eternity — in a good way. she found herself daydreaming almost consistently about him; the way his eyes would sparkle as he watched her talk and talk, never telling her to shut up or make her feel like her interests were dumb. she felt a bloom in her heart the moment his skin would touch hers, and despite her lack of knowledge on love, she thought she'd like to learn from and with him.
"thank you, wonwoo," sarang squeezed his hand comfortingly, and he swears he felt his heart skip a beat, "tonight was really nice, truly."
wonwoo stopped, pulling the woman back with him. he took the arm that wasn't pressed to his, within his soft grasp, spinning sarang so she was facing him now. his hard exterior shattered when in the radiance of her sunlight — to his moonlight. she stared up at him, a smile adorning her lips. he swears that he would die happily if she was the last sight he'd see. the way she shot hearts at him with every glance, or the dimples that only made her naturally blushed features even more beautiful. he almost wanted cupid to stop shooting arrows straight into his heart whenever she caught his undivided attention, from the way it would race at an unsafe speed.
little did wonwoo know that sarang was almost more infatuated with him. the cold-demeanor his face portrayed, only broken when he'd see something cute catch his eye. the butterflies that swarmed her stomach when his breath fanned her cheek before kissing it. she swears the most beautiful man was the one who giggled, and wore glasses, and played stupid-little computer games on his free time — and, was all hers. she could thank a million lucky stars, but even that wouldn't be enough to show gratitude for the alignment.
the world would stop spinning, if only for the few seconds they'd synch pitter-patters. their eyes locked, and a blush crept into sarang's view. she bit back a teasing smile, but admired the shade she had caused without even so much as a word.
his voice lowered, "i'll call a taxi."
she nodded, on the edge of unnoticeably, caught up in the glasshouse of his glow, that even the nine o'clock darkness couldn't harbor.
the rain had only picked up a little by the time the car lights would pass by, wonwoo sticking his hand out to hail them to a stop. he opened the door, motioning for sarang to take the lead. she did, and he followed suit by taking the seat next to her in the back.
he brushed the droplets from her cheeks, and subconsciously sarang leaned into the feeling. the soft touch making her feel like she's never been homesick before. so much so, she'd found herself longing for it after he'd retracted.
sarang thought that she must've been bewitched within the moment she fixed her actions on him. she thought that someone must've casted a spell to have her seeing nothing but valentine's day, every day.
she reached for his hand, and to her dismay he didn't show any signs of a stutter in the way he was telling the taxi driver her address. he reacted only by placing his other atop her own, encasing her chilled fingertips, which wonwoo had only noticed.
his thoughtfulness always threw her for a loop. sure, he knew her well enough by now but still, she thought it was only human to have hesitations — though she had none of her own. yes, she'd been hurt before, but he made her forget she's ever had any other boyfriend.
"when will you meet them?" wonwoo asked excitedly as the car jolted forward. he looked past her and out the window, the blurry water-colored painting the droplets mixed with the orange hue of the streetlights created against the passing buildings. the backlighting made her seem almost like an angel sent from heaven. god, he didn't know why no shakespearian-like metaphor could do her justice in his eyes.
she hummed aloud, the sound just like music to his ears, "when will you all be together next?"
"they've been dying to see you so, i'm sure if i told them when, they'd all dramatically drop their schedules for you." he laughed, "they love you more than i do."
sarang's heart practically dropped into the pit of her stomach and jitters took over her body. however, wonwoo's hand instilled a calm feeling; one she was convinced only he could. she bit her lip, the smile still creeping through at the revelation.
and, maybe because it came so naturally to him, he hadn't noticed the profession he let slip.
"high standards." she voiced, "i guess i can't disappoint now."
the taxi had come to a halt, "you'd never disappoint them, sarang."
the man handed the driver a couple of bills, and the pair thanked him. he glanced to sarang before pulling the doorhandle and getting out, where then he held his hand out in assistance. she gladly accepted, not knowing how to be from him for very long anymore, and got from the backseat of the yellow-wrapped car.
wonwoo covered her face from the rain with his other hand, which still wasn't hard enough to melt her makeup off, but the action made her heart flutter more than it already was.
"that's very nice of you, thank you." she said, though it could go for a lot of things the man has said and done throughout the night. "and, thank you for bringing me home, i really do wish this night didn't have to end."
wonwoo shied slightly at the compliment, shutting the door to the taxi and bowing as it rode off into the night.
sarang looked to the dark-wood door of her small, two story house. she ached for the night to replay, for her to not reminisce as she awaited his call saying he'd gotten home safely, but for it to actually happen exactly the same way again.
reluctantly, she reached into the purse on her shoulder, and watched as the hanging swing swayed on her porch, and the potted plants danced with the breeze. her hand shuffled through the small items of her bag, searching for something she'd soon come to find wasn't in there.
her eyebrows furrowed, earning the man's attention as he bounced with anticipation, already hating the goodbyes that were going to be exchanged any second now.
"what's wrong?" he asked, shortening the distance between them, as if his height could protect her, like he found himself wanting to do nowadays.
even if anyone else would've been upset over the unfortunate event, she looked on the bright side of the situation: it only meant that she'd get to spend more time with the man who loves her.
she laughed out, "i can't find my keys."
he huffed, throwing his head back in disbelief. he never believed in fate, but this must've been it, he thought to himself.
"are you serious?"
sarang held her bag open, inviting him to look and see for himself, "i must've left them at the restaurant."
"they're closed now, sarang." he stated, concern dripping from his voice. on the contrary sarang just let out another laugh. she let her bag bounce against her side and ran her hands soothingly up his clothed-arms. "what are you going to do?"
she then pulled the phone from the backside of her jeans, pushing past the front of the black coat she'd, up until now, shielded herself from the wind and rain with, "i'll text my brother, he has the spare from when he came and watered my plants that week i was away. he'll be here soon, don't worry too much." she went up his bicep and brought it to rest against his cheek, rubbing her thumb along his skin, "tomorrow i'll go back to the restaurant and get them."
"don't tell me to go home right now, i'll wait for him to get here and make sure you're okay." she didn't argue, knowing that it was what he truly desired doing with the remainder of his night. and honestly, spending more time with him sounded like the best possible outcome anyways, “tomorrow, i’ll also go to the restaurant with you.” she smiled in a competent defeat.
they made their way under the security of her porch, taking a seat on the swing. the scene made sarang remember the times she'd envisioned sitting this exact way with her lover — she couldn't help seeing their future play through her head like he was just a school-girl crush — growing old and watching their grandchildren play on the front lawn.
he looked in her direction, taking in their surroundings, the peaceful pattern of the drips, the way the color-pallet made it seem like they were in a foreign city, like paris, shooting a romance movie.
since coming out of the rain, sarang had noticed the residual dew on her boyfriend's glasses. she carefully reached out, removing them and using the sleeves of her jacket to make his vision clear.
her voice was smooth, harmonizing with the trickles and gentle beeping of the surrounding city-life, "you know… i love you too, wonwoo." she stated, meticulously cleaning the lenses. he gasped inaudibly, too stunned under the words echoing and weaving his brain to take his eyes off her.
she continued nonetheless, “you said it while we were in the taxi." he followed her movements as she put the glasses back on his face.
their pupils dilated again within each others presence, and her palms stilled on his cheeks.
wonwoo opened his mouth with intent, "i mean it." sincerity barged into her thoughts, and she knew he wasn't lying.
he could feel the glasshouse shattering with the hammering puppy-love feelings. "sarang?" his voice was barely over a whisper, "can i kiss you?"
she smiled, heart thumping against their cage, “yes, you can.”
the distance between them inched closed, until the tender touch of their lips was the only thing to focus on. the surrounding noise faded away. all that mattered was that they were with each other, in this innocent moment that promised every season from now until the foreseeable future.
the pair finally understood the love songs, the romance movies, the books that glorified the feeling of love; it was divine, ethereal, enchanting, any adjective that meant beyond-belief.
they pulled apart, breathing against each others lips for a moment before a mutual smile broke out.
"do that again sometime." sarang whispered.
the sound of a clearing throat cut wonwoo off before he had a chance to reaffirm that he would, indeed, do it again.
sarang and wonwoo, cheeks essentially pressed together, turned to see her older brother, who was dangling the spare keys in the air. his eyebrows rose and sarang started laughing for the nth time this hour.
"alright lovebirds, paws off. i'm here to save the day."
