It was not a widely kept secret, that Kim Mingyu was a spectacular chef. And him being your boyfriend, meant that he cooked for you...a lot. So, when the thought of making something for him crossed your mind, you were invincible.

And that's how you reached this situation. You were in the final steps of finishing the cake batter when you needed to use the toilet. You made sure everything was safe before you left to take care of your business.

You walked back into the kitchen, a few minutes later. The moment you stepped in, your heart sank and your jaw dropped. "Theo!!" You screamed your dog's name who could now be seen licking your cake batter which rested on the floor, splattered everywhere.

Sensing your dumbfoundedness, Theo ran into your room, making white footprints with your cake batter. You stood there for a good minute before a small laugh left your mouth. This was going to be a tiring day.

Red flooded into your face and neck as you blushed at the sudden action. "What was that for?" You tried to sound annoyed but the smile that graced your lips betrayed you.

"Thank you for thinking of me, it means a lot. Truly." Mingyu brought his hands to your face and kissed your lips. You smiled into the kiss.

You sighed as you pulled apart and looked at the mess in front of you. "Clean up with me?" You asked as you got up and extended your arm to your boyfriend.

"Always." Mingyu took your hand and stood up. "And after that, we can make a new cake, together."

You smiled at your boyfriend and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer for a hug. Mingyu reciprocated, his hand snaking around your waist, like muscle memory.

On the ground, next to the both of you, alongside the bag that Mingyu brought home, was a cake box. But Mingyu didn't acknowledge its presence, baking a whole new one was more fun anyway.
