It’s not like you hated Sunwoo (you did)–it’s just that most of the time that guy was just so full of himself, when in reality no one really cares about what he was saying (it was mostly him trying to flirt).

Sunwoo just had his own way of getting on your damn nerves just by a single smirk which makes its way to his face whenever he sees you in the hallways, in the class or even on the turf.

Typically, you wouldn’t mind his presence or anything. It wasn’t like you would be able to avoid him even if you wanted to.

Being the captain of the cheerleading team meant that you’d be practising on the ground while Sunwoo would be playing football (I mean, it’s not like you would steal secret yet frequent glances at him just to take a small look at him while he was busy playing. Of course not!).

I mean…of course, it’s kind of embarrassing (for you) if someone got to take a look inside your brain and all they would see are the fantasies you have about Sunwoo.

You find the fact that you’d like someone who’s just sooo cocky for their own sake that he just thinks that anyone who stares at him would go down on their knees, begging for attention or at least a glance from him, hilarious and hard to believe yourself.

But no, you were not like that. You were none of that, you were anything but that. You knew just how twisted Sunwoo was—I mean, of course you would… you were the one who was in the backseat of his car, making out with him when everyone was inside the house partying.

No matter how much you deny yourself, you cannot help but blush at the fact that you had made out with Sunwoo on numerous occasions.

Despite all of that you know that Sunwoo isn’t the one. Like the amount of times he had picked someone else over you made it clear that he is not someone who would be committed in a relationship (it’s not even like you were looking for a serious relationship yourself, but the thing is, deep down, you knew that whenever he would not prioritise you, you were of course hurt).

It's not even like you want to settle for the bare minimum, no! That is not who you are, but the times Sunwoo had taken care of you while you were drunk, the times he was there while you were at your lowest, really proved to you that he could be the one.

Only if you both were mature enough (and less egoistic) to realise your feelings for each other sooner, than maybe, maybe, you wouldn’t have been in this situation of push and pull anymore.

Heaving out a long sigh, you take your heels off as you sit on the footpath with regret and embarrassment.

Regret because you let some dumb fool take you out on a date a day before your birthday, and embarrassment for getting stood up like that.

If you would have known it would turn out like this, you wouldn’t have even agreed to this pathetic date. You knew he was just gonna use you like any other guy. That’s what guys do! But then again, you only agreed to this because your friends were forcing you to ‘live your life’ and to also move on from Sunwoo.

Their exact words would be: ‘Just get over Sunwoo.’ Like, when were you even under him to even get over him was the first thing to come to your mind; but then again…you did make out with him… maybe once? Or like twice (it was more than that for sure) but that’s not the case!

You were never even in love with Sunwoo to get over him or move on from him– they were just being ridiculous as always, was what you said to yourself.

But you knew better. You knew better than that, because of course, you always found yourself going back to him, no matter what the situation or state you were in.

And he was always there to cheer you up, or even just to make you laugh– even if it was just for a little while, that smile lasted you for a whole day.

That’s how Sunwoo was to you. Yes, he was an annoying jerk who was always full of himself and very much selfish, yet, he was also the one who was there for you when you needed him, no? I mean, yeah, he might have ditched you a couple of times, but what’s that gonna do when the amount of times he showed his support to you weighed more than the times he was being ignorant?

As a human, of course you would rather look at the bright side and the times where it was better than the ones in which you felt heartbroken or just…unwanted.

Now, that was also the exact reason why your fingers were automatically dialling Sunwoo’s number. Were you scared that he wouldn't pick up? Yes, but you knew he would. Because it was a rare occurrence for you to call him at this time of the day so he always made sure to pick up the call no matter what– that’s what you observed from him.

It was like an unspoken rule he had for you and only you. Maybe in that way you felt like you were special to him, because you both knew that he wouldn’t come running like that in the middle of the night for anyone but you.

“Can you come and pick me up? I will send you my location,” was all you said as you hung up on the call and sent him your current location.

You did not have to listen to his answer to know that he’s gonna come and get you, because you were more than sure that he will. That’s just how he is.

You stop looking down when you feel a presence standing in front of you. Slowly lifting your head up, you sniffle when your eyes make contact with the one who was standing in front of you, almost breathless.

“What’s wrong, hmm?” He asks gently while kneeling down, taking out a handkerchief from his back pocket and gently wiping the tears which were unknowingly flowing down your cheeks.

The tears were not there because of being stood up, but because of the fact that only now did you realise that you love him.

“Why are you so nice to me but you’re the same person whom I hate from the bottom of my heart?” You mumble quietly as you get up from the floor and hand your heels and purse over to Sunwoo, who held them without asking any questions.

Leaving him behind, you walk towards his car which was parked hastily, maybe because he was bad at parking (that’s a lie and even you knew that.). Entering the passenger seat, you look ahead with no certain thoughts circling your mind.

You just waited for Sunwoo to come in and drive away from here– and that’s exactly what he did, no questions asked. He knew better than to ask you anything about what happened.

With silence engulfing the two of you, you stare outside the window with some soft music playing in the background.

You could see Sunwoo’s reflection through the window– the way the night sky was shining its bright light on him andhis oh so fluffy hair which was a bit messy giving you the slightest urge to fix it for him, but you stopped yourself from doing so.

You stay quiet when Sunwoo stops the car by a small convenience store and leaves you by yourself to get something from there. You didn’t havethe slightest bit of energy in your body to even ask him what he was doing, so you just waited for him to come back.

The only thing which was on your mind right now was to go back to the comforts of your house with your favourite tub of ice cream (and a warm cup of coffee), laying in your bed as you watch your comfort film to ease your mind.

You snap out of your thoughts when you hear the door opening and see Sunwoo getting back into his seat with a plastic bag in his hand. You don’t pay much attention to him and just continue spacing out when you hear his soft, honey like voice again.

“Here.” That was when you realised Sunwoo was handing you chocolate ice cream.

Unknowingly, a small smile creeps up your face as you happily accept it with no further questions asked.

Just like that, Sunwoo started the car again as he drove off from there.

“You’re not in a hurry to go back home, are you?” He asks with his eyes solely focused on the road (with the occasional glances he was stealing at you, but we don’t talk about that).

“Why? You wanna take me out?” You ask teasingly as you take a bite out of your ice cream happily.

“Something like that… I wanna show you something.” You just stare at him when he says that and slowly nod your head. You trusted Sunwoo enough to know that he won’t do anything wrong, especially if you were there with him.

“Lead the way then, I guess.” You reply softly while finishing the rest of your ice cream.

“We’re already there, actually. Come out,” he says excitedly as he gets out of the car and goes to the front., Standing there, he waits for you to join him as he stares up at the night sky.

“The night sky is beautiful…” you say with amusement lacing your voice as you look up in awe.

“Right?” He replies back with a small laugh as he steals a small glance at you, “Do you… want to sit on the hood of the car? I can help you,” he questions softly while turning back to look at you.

Giving him a small nod, you yelp in surprise when Sunwoo lifts you up effortlessly and places you on top of the car.

After a moment of silence, you open your mouth to speak only to close it again, not knowing how to form the right words.

“Say what you want to say. I am all ears,” was all you hear from him as he keeps on contently staring up at the sky.

“Why are you doing all this?” You finally find the courage to ask him as you look down at your fingers, too afraid to look at the expressions he had on his face.

“Doing what? Being nice to you and only you?” He questions you back. There was no hint of teasing or mockery in his tone, yet, you kept on shyly playing with your fingers.

You stop playing with your fingers when Sunwoo gently grabs a hold of them. Looking up at him, you could feel your heart taking a small leap at the way he was so close, yet so far away from you.

He immediately turns around and points up at the sky, “You notice that one star over there? The most still and the clear one?” He asks before looking back at you. When you slowly shake your head, he looks back up again and continues. “That’s a North Pole star. It’s called Polaris and it’s known to be the constant star. It was used in navigation in old times,” he tells you before he hops on top of the car and sits beside you.

“What do you wanna say?” You ask softly as you stare at him in confusion. You did not know why he was talking in riddles like that, but it slightly amused you .

“I don’t want to be someone who is only there when you need me I want to be there when you’re happy, sad, or just… there. I want to be as constant as that star, Y/N. I might be ready to commit again,” he says softly as he takes your hand in his and kisses the back of your hand.

“What if you leave me?” You question him back. You were afraid that he might get bored of you and leave you– maybe that was one of the reasons which was stopping you from expressing yourself fully to him.

“What if I don't? I have been there for you even when we were sworn enemies… but then what if I am there for you not as your enemy, but as your boyfriend?” He explains himself before slowly inching closer towards you. “I want to be there for you Y/N, as your boyfriend and not just some guy you call when you’re in need.”

He says that as he slowly grabs a hold of your jawline,caressing it gently with his fingers while staring into your eyes. “Can I be your boyfriend?” He asks softly while stealing a small glance at your lips before quickly locking his eyes with yours.

When he sees the small glimpse of you nodding your head, he wastes no time and pulls you closer towards him, one hand still caressing your jaw while the other slowly creeps its way up your cheek.

You smile in the kiss when you sense the way he was being soft and gentle– unlike the times when you both had kissed before. This was different.

This kiss held everything which the others lacked– the soft, yet slow movements of his lips against yours as you slowly bring your hand up to his hair to entangle your fingers with the strands.

Pulling away from you, Sunwoo looks at you with a huge smile creeping up to his cheekbones. He goes back to his original position, licking his lips.

“You know what, Sunwoo?” You ask softly while your hands find his bigger ones to hold onto them.

Moving closer towards him, you place your head on his shoulder as you both look up at the sky, “I somehow always seem to find my way back to you,” you tell him with a gentle sigh escaping your lips.

You could hear a soft chuckle escaping his lips, which made you smile in return. “We are both on the same boat, then,” he whispers while placing his own head on top of yours.

Wonwoo stops in your bedroom doorway, bowl in hand, to survey you. Or rather, to survey the lump in the center of the bed that’s covered by your duvet. “Sweetheart, lunch.” He sighs when the only response is the quiet noise of the television. “Come on, you have to eat something.”

Something between a muffled groan and growl fills the room and then the lump moves. The top of your head slowly peeks out from under the duvet and rests on the pillow at the top of the bed. Wonwoo smiles to himself as he watches your exposed eyebrows furrow before you drag the fabric back up to envelop yourself once more. 

You hear Wonwoo sigh, then the gentle clink of earthenware being set on your nightstand before long fingers reach into your comforter and peel it back to reveal your face. Your hair is disheveled and you’re a bit pale, but the pout that’s settled onto your features as you return his bemused stare makes his heart flip.

“Wonwoo,” you finally rasp after being exposed, “I’m dying.”

He sits gingerly on the bed next to you, planting a kiss on your forehead before replying. “You’re not dying, sweetheart. But you will if you don’t eat.”

The press of his warm lips on your forehead is soothing, but does little to assuage your disappointment about all the plans you’ve had to cancel this week. “What’s the point in eating if I can’t have the seasonal stuff I’ve been waiting all year for?” 

“What do you mean? Chicken noodle soup is seasonal.” 

“Is not,” you whine, ignoring the way he smirks down at you playfully. A little teasing and faux ignorance have always been his way of making you giggle even when you don’t want to. And now you actually do want to, but the pang of missed opportunity is still at the forefront of your mind. “We were supposed to go look at Christmas lights and go caroling and ice skating and make gingerbread houses and just… There’s so much stuff I wanted to do, but I’m stuck here.”

Wonwoo pushes his glasses up his nose and sniffles, hurt. “‘Stuck’? You hate being with me that much?”

You sigh, sitting up to look at him better. Behind the warmth in his eyes is a hint of worry. Even though you know Wonwoo’s joking, you feel a pang of guilt for making him concerned in the first place. Suddenly not-seasonal soup is more appealing. “You know that’s not it, babe. There’s just…so much that we’re missing, you know? There’s so much that I wanted to do.”

Wonwoo doesn’t miss the way you tilt your head toward the nightstand, attempting to take more whiffs of the lunch he’s prepared for you through your stuffy nose. He moves to fluff the pillows behind your back before taking the spoon in his hand to feed you. Raised eyebrows above his lenses is all it takes for your weak glower to transform into an open, waiting mouth. Even on your worst days, he’s always there to comfort you. When you accept a few spoonfuls, Wonwoo is satisfied enough to answer. “We can do plenty of stuff here, you know. Movies, hot chocolate…some more soup, maybe.”

“That’s nice in theory, but you’ll get sick too.”

“Well–” he says thoughtfully, stirring your lunch again before taking some for himself, “– now it’s guaranteed. We can be sick together. So, how about that movie date?”

For the first time in days, your smile reaches your eyes as you return the warmth that Wonwoo continues to show you again and again. “It’s a date, then.”

So Dino starts inviting you over more often bc you knowing the other boys and getting along with them and feeling comfortable spending time with them is really important to him

But he also somewhat regrets it when you and Seungkwan occasionally gang up on him to tease him (harmlessly, of course) 

But the fact that you get along with them so well still makes him so so happy

Then one day Coups gets you a ticket to their concert

And of course Dino wants you to be interested in what he does and get to see it

But he’s never been so nervous for a show before

He puts his whole heart and soul into his performance that night

When they exit the dressing rooms he’s a nervous wreck

He sees you standing down the hall, lightstick hanging from your wrist, looking worn out from attending the concert

As soon as you see him you rush to greet him and jump into his arms

He squeezes you so tight you think you’re gonna pop

And as if your words didn’t make him happy enough, he can hear that your voice is scratchy so you must’ve been cheering pretty loud

After that you attend your concerts all the time 

Dino is beaming whenever you come

Accept that one time Seungkwan paid you to hold a sign with his name on it just to see Dino’s reaction

And he’s so excited whenever you ask him about his career and his dancing and music 

He rambles on and on and on and on about it

He’s just so excited to get to share that part of his life with you

And you love seeing how passionate he is about it

And he’s fine with it

But it’s also weird bc sometimes he’s so used to everyone calling him Dino 24/7

“Oh sorry, I forgot that was my name for a second”

You start quoting Seventeen’s song lyrics to him to embarrass him sometimes 

But he gets to turn around and make fun of you bc

There’s definitely a very fun, teasing aspect to your relationship bc Chan doesn’t like to take things too seriously and wants you two to have a lot of fun

But he doesn’t shy away from the more serious parts of being in a relationship and is actually incredibly mature and responsible in facing any issues you two have head on and solving it all in the best way possible

Dino is generally a really level headed person so he always tries to look at things from your perspective and is really great at coming up with solutions and compromises that satisfy you both

He buys y’all matching stuffed animals so that you both have something to cuddle when he’s away on tour

It usually takes six glasses of gin and tonic to get Kwon Soonyoung absolutely drunk, but he’s had barely half of his second shot when he’s pulling down your panties in the ladies’ washroom at the back of the club.

Tuesday nights aren’t meant for drinking. Soonyoung needs to be at work before eight if he doesn’t want bullshit for breakfast. He’s normally punctual, always organized. He’s known for that. Kwon Soonyoung, the best man to ever grace this earth. He doesn’t break rules and makes the world a better place with just a polite smile.

But somehow, something—someone—makes him break the rules tonight.

The bartender just handed him his second shot when you sloppily slid on the stool on his right, looking like the loneliest princess there is. You’re dressed in black and the stain of your lipstick is dark, bold—it almost seems like you came from a funeral. Soonyoung doesn’t realize he looks exactly like you—lonely and desperate to get shitfaced.

He blurts out that you seem lonely; you laugh it off and he blushes because you might think he’s hitting on you. (He eventually does, though.) You tell him he looks lonely, too. Soonyoung admits it and asks you if someone died.

“What?” you ask, confused. “Do I look like that? Oh God, I didn’t mean to.”

“So, no, then?” he confirms; you shake your hand. “Good. I was worried you’d start sobbing about someone’s death when you’re drunk enough.”

You chuckle bitterly and continue to drink the martini in your hand. Soonyoung’s body is still facing towards the counter but his face is turned to you while he talks. You, on the other hand, have fully given your attention to him. Your right elbow rests on the cold, marble counter, legs crossed as you face him. The skin on your thighs show as your skirt hikes up higher and higher by the second, but Soonyoung pretends he doesn’t see it.

“Something funny?” he asks when you’re still chuckling silently even after downing your drink and asking the barista for another one.

“I just thought of something,” you mumble. You don’t wait for Soonyoung to ask you to continue. “The stupid thing with love dying out is that we don’t die with it. You helplessly watch it be buried six feet under the ground and visit its grave every time you’re drunk.”

Soonyoung watches your fingers when you play with the olive on the empty glass of martini and then drifts his attention to your lonely eyes when you speak again.

“And you’re always so god damn drunk.”

You look into his eyes when you say this and something inside him snaps; next thing he knows, your legs are wrapped around his waist as he fucks you into oblivion on the counter of the ladies’ room. He momentarily forgets where he is and moans out loud when you pull a portion of his slicked back hair just as he hits the right spot. It’s hot and intense but you don’t let out a sound besides the quiet whimpers you involuntarily breathe out—especially when he pushes himself deeper.

Soonyoung loses a bit of air in his lungs when you give him a sweet kiss on the cheek when it’s done. You leave before he could even zip up his slacks and collect himself and it doesn’t dawn into him until another woman comes in and catches him leaning against the cold concrete of the counter, catching his breath. Then he follows you out, but you were already long gone. He didn’t get to ask your name.

He asks the bartender, but the employee says you never came back to finish the martini you paid for before you and him went to the ladies’ room.

Soonyoung sits on the same stool and stares at the empty one beside him. The stain of your dark, red lipstick on the mouth of the half-empty martini glass catches his attention.

He’s about to reach for it to stare closely and study the way your divine lips are shaped on the glass when the phone on his back pocket vibrates twice.

Soonyoung shudders and the liquid he just consumed travels from his stomach to his throat, knocking and fighting to spill out. He throws up on the stool you were sitting on as he realizes what he had just done. He cheated on Eunha, the love of his love, with a stranger just because you looked lonely sitting there. An employee is assisting him and asking him if he’s okay, but Soonyoung doesn’t hear a single word from them—he doesn’t hear anything at all. He collapses, letting his body fall on the floor, and the bartender wonders why because he hasn’t even finished his second glass of gin and tonic.

This is how your story started and how it’s supposed to end. And God damn, does Soonyoung wish it ended there.

It’s six days later when Soonyoung sees you again at Wonwoo’s 22nd birthday party. Eunha’s holding his hand, like she’s been sweetly doing so for the past week.

The fight from last week wasn’t petty. Soonyoung wouldn’t have stormed out of their apartment and made it a mission to get drunk if it was simple. When she learned about Seungcheol’s promotion, Eunha called Soonyoung names that he doesn’t really want to recall and told him that he’s never going to get promoted if he let his friends take all the credit for the things he does at work. She blabbered about how he’s not strong-willed and that he wouldn’t survive this cruel world if it weren’t for her keeping him on the right track. His mother never said those things to him even when she raised him alone and worked three jobs just so she could send him to school. It stabbed Soonyoung in the chest when Eunha said her parents do not want her to get married to him until the amount of money in his bank account has nine digits.

Soonyoung wanted to end things when she screamed at him that night but didn’t have the heart to because they’ve been together for five years. He doesn’t want to throw away five years of good memories because of a fight, despite being hurt.

And then you entered the story. Soonyoung woke up the next morning on his bed and with Eunha making him breakfast. Apparently, the employees called his emergency contact—Eunha—and informed her about what happened. His girlfriend apologized over and over again until he cried. He was crying because the memory of you is still etched in his mind, but Eunha doesn’t need to know that. Soonyoung let her believe he was crying because he’s still hurt from all the things she said the night before.

Soonyoung doesn’t breathe a word about it; in fact, he has barely talked to Eunha since that Tuesday night. His girlfriend tries her best to make it up to him and he notices her doing the things she doesn’t usually do for him—ironing his shirt into perfection, making him breakfast every day, calling when he’s on break at work, and a handful more. It makes him feel even worse.

Eunha usually doesn’t allow Soonyoung to stay with his friends when they’re at a party. She would normally drag him home with her before the clock struck 11, but she tells him he could stay longer when she leaves at 10. Wonwoo is surprised when he sees his best friend walking towards them alone.

“It feels weird to not have Eunha sticking on your side,” Seungcheol comments.

Wonwoo glares at the older guy.

“What?” Seungcheol asks. “It’s true. I never see you alone when we’re off from work.”

Soonyoung only shrugs and reaches out for a bottle of beer. It feels odd in his tongue, the taste of beer, and perhaps it’s because the last time he drunk alcohol, he was—he doesn’t want to think about it.

But the universe has its ways. Soonyoung thinks you’re a witch or something because he can’t get you out of his mind no matter what he does. He guesses it’s your sinful lips that made you unforgettable. Maybe your neck, or the soft skin on your thighs. He—

“Wonwoo, happy birthday, man,” a masculine voice calls out, but Soonyoung doesn’t bat an eye. “It’s been so long since I hung out with you, guys. Seungcheol, I heard you’re up for the VP position?”

Soonyoung could use some gin and tonic now.

“Soonyoung,” the voice calls out, and it’s only when said name looked up that he realizes that it’s their friend from college Jaehyun. “Man, you look so different. How are you?”

Soonyoung replies with a decent sentence and nods in his direction, where Jaehyun is standing outside the small circle Wonwoo created for his friends. Soonyoung gets up lazily to get himself a shot of gin and tonic from the bar in the corner but stops when you walk towards their table.

For a second, your eyes widen and you stop your tracks, and Soonyoung wonders how you do it—how you act so cool and indifferent when things are obviously out of proportion. He gulps and sits back down, the gin and tonic are forgotten on his mind.

“Babe,” you call out. Jaehyun turns and gives you a kiss on the cheeks. Jaehyun steps aside and introduces you to the group.

“Guys, this is my girlfriend, Y/N,” he says with a smile. Soonyoung wants to throw up. “Y/N, these are my friends from college. Wonwoo, the birthday boy,” he continues.

“Happy birthday,” you shyly greet. Soonyoung wants to pull you and scream at your face. You’re just pretending because you’re not shy at all.

“Seungcheol,” Jaehyun trails off. “Junhui, Jeonghan, and Soonyoung. Damn, I wish Jihoon was here. I miss him.”

You leave when you’ve whispered to Jaehyun what you wanted to tell him. Jaehyun finally takes a seat to catch up with everyone. Soonyoung remembers the gin and tonic and gets up again to get himself one.

A shiver runs down his spine when you sit on the stool beside him like the week before, but this time, Soonyoung’s standing as he waits for his drink.

“From the look on your face I’m guessing you remember?” you ask, voice sultry. He ignores you and it makes you laugh. “Oh, don’t act like you don’t want to talk to me now.”

“Y/N, huh?” he speaks, taunting you. “I didn’t think I’d hear your name from an old friend’s mouth.”

“Soonyoung,” you repeat his name. You say it again. Three times. “Doesn’t quite fit.”

He looks at you.

“I think of sunshine and all the happy stuff when I say your name,” you explain. “You’re obviously not too good of a boy of you slept with a stranger when you have a girlfriend.”

“Do I?”

“I saw you two earlier,” you shrug. “Doesn’t seem like a first date to me. A long-time girlfriend?”

The barista hands him his drink. Soonyoung takes it and proceeds to leave but you speak again.

“Jaehyun says you’re the good boy from college. You’ve never broken a single rule and you try to be as punctual as you can,” you recite. “That’s what everyone thinks of you. I guess I’m the only one who knows about your bad side, huh?”

Soonyoung fights the urge to spill his drink on your face. You see him grip his glass tighter and let out a chuckle. He doesn’t even need to look at you to know you have a smug smirk on your face.

“I’ll be sure to see you around, Soonyoung.”

you’ve never been a clean person who has their shit under control

especially when it comes to keeping your own room clean

so how are you supposed to keep a whole apartment tidy

when you first moved into your new place that solely belonged to you,,, you thought everything was great because

you were a grown ass adult

to an extent at least

and you didn’t have your parents lecturing you and ordering you to tidy up your room,,,,, you are now an independent person who doesn’t need any help and can function on their own

or so you thought

two weeks in and your place has turned into the dumpster from hell

you did wash the dishes,,,, somewhat and did the laundry,,,,,, somehow

but because you are too lazy to take out the trash, you keep trying to stuff all of the garbage into the same trash bag even though there is no room to fit in anymore

okay you admit keeping a flat clean is a challenge

your tidiness may not be topnotch but your likability towards your neighbours makes up for it

except with one person,,,, namely the one who lives right next to you

alias lee jihoon

it’s not that you hate him or vice versa (you hope)

but more of,,,,,,,, he doesn’t talk a lot and you don’t see each other frequently

which surprises you as you even meet neighbour seungcheol more often and he lives like three levels below you

and it’s hard to build up a conversation with jihoon

there are two ways how a poor attempt to crack his shell will end up

you know that you’re not able to clean the mess and go shopping in one day,,,,, it’s too much

hell you’re probably busy cleaning all night long into the morning because yes THATS HOW MESSY IT IS

since mingyu has the reputation of being the cleanest one in the entire apartment block you try to ring him up,,,,,, but he’s currently not in town dsakjhdkj

and you don’t even try to ask seungcheol bc he’ll pull a dad on you and lecture you

knowing that all the others have their own schedules and you’re not all too close to them it seemed inappropriate to ask them

which only leaves jihoon as your last hope

so you rush over to his door and bang so long until he opens the door with an exasperated sigh like he already knows what you’re about to ask

he’s about to slam the door shut but you manage to keep it open with your foot

tbh you’re still very anxious about the food problem

but well now it’s too late to think about it it’s time for improvisation

cue someone rings the bell and ofc it’s your parents

they’re quite impressed that you managed to have a clean place wow

and everything seems to run smoothly

until your dad decides to be  t h a t  guy and ask when it’s lunch time

if they only knew

and then they FINALLY leave

but ofc mother couldn’t leave without hugging you and jihoon first

when you turn around jihoon expression went from happy back to the indifferent and grumpy asshole jihoon

you start to go slow and test the waters

“uh, thanks for that you were my lifesaver!!!! but uh,,,, you didn’t have to say that we were a couple”

“i just went with what i thought would be most believable,” he deadpans and wants to leave to but you hold him back

“what is it???”

“was it then really necessary to call me babe????”

and boom he stays silent but instead he turns red

a small smile makes its way to your face

“nO I WAS JUST WONDERING”

“Chill clyde nothing for you to worry about. Someone special,” you delicately touched the band, “gave this to me” you said as a grin spread

pOOR WONWOO BBY HE LEGIT THINKS YOU LIKE SOMEONE ELSE and he silently sulks and just says “o-oh..!! Must be nice”

And you don’t catch the quick forlorn look in his eyes before he switches back to his flirty self and you’re just like sigh ok clyde pls focus on the mission

wonwoo is just bugging out (no pun intended) about that bracelet you wore bc it looks familiar

But bc he’s dense and so are you he doesn’t put two and two together no offense reader but c’mon

One night yall are doing your saving the world routine and it gets dangerous since this mission is more large scale than your other ones

In other words it’s a lot more dangerous than your typical ones

let’s just say you had a little wardrobe mishap and aLMOST GOT YOUR MASK TAKEN OFF

Wonwoo was SO CLOSE!!! TO DISCOVERING WHO YOU WERE!!!

You were in the middle of hand-in-hand combat and you were quick enough to duck the guy’s blow but not quick enough to completely avoid it (which is rare for you)

Fortunately wonwoo came in time and finished off the guy as you quickly ran off and adjusted your mask

As you were adjusting it you heard his voice behind you

“Is it… so bad to reveal ourselves?”

You freeze. Bc well,,, that was the whole point of all this vigilante thing going on

“Can’t we just,,,, keep it between us?”

You finish adjusting your mask and turn back to him with a sad smile

“I’m sorry clyde… i hope you respect that”

At this point all the bad guys were taken care of and all you do is hurry back home, leaving wonwoo staring at your rapidly disappearing shadow

Wonwoo could have sworn when your mask was slightly tilted he thought he caught a glimpse of your face but it was too dark and too fast that he brushed it off

You and wonwoo spend the rest of the night contemplating on the whole mystery concept you’ve both kept up for years

Maybe it was better this way,,, so you wouldn’t have any attachment to each other

Bc in the end, the vigilante thing is gonna end one day and you don’t wanna have to go through the pain of separating based on your emotions

So y’all are forever stuck in this weird af love square,,,, wITH YOURSELVES
