We Marched, We Spoke, We Were Heard...What Next???
What Now? A Voice Needs A Plan To Create True Change Ladies, we have done something MONUMENAL! Our voices have been heard for the first time since the Suffragette Movement in 1901; founded by Emmeline Pankhurst. You women have worked so very hard for this! I am in awe of you; inspired. You've changed history. Each if you is more than heroic. Thank you for organizing and standing so tall against divisionism and cruelty. This time however, we did not stand alone! We accepted and welcomed EVERY cause, creed, tradition, offended, wounded, disparaged, and frightened for the future person or group willing to stand with us. What an amazing difference we have made...together! The big question remains... Has it made THE difference? Not Yet! The job is not yet done! If we give up now, foolishly believing we have accomplished something, we ALL lose! A voice in the wind is carried endlessly; unheard. We HAVE to keep moving forward. We MUST allow THIS President, to understand we are watching him. More than that, we are holding him accountable for every human being he steps on to gain notariety and pleasure! We will punish him for each helpless person he mocks or shoves aside in annoyance. We will reeducate him regarding every individual he claims disgusts or simply annoys him! We will retrain him how to unite a country by tolerant and inclusive words and behaviour, rather than behaving bigotted and afraid. That's what Mothers do; what WOMEN do! The only way we can make this statement is truthfully, however. We must come together, as a nation, and we must stay together. We must be fully and faithfully inclusive. We must be blind to color, to faith, to education, to culture, to heredity, to sexuality, to definition, to disability, to ailment (providing it is not violent). We must simply ACCEPT one another AS WE ARE. ..and we must have direction. A single march is not going to change the world around us, sadly. Unfortunately, we live in a complicated world. We live in a world that allows a man to become President, after he openly mocks a handicapped person. A world that allows a man to become President after he OPENLY calls a women a pig. That same world seats a man in the Presidential chair after he unsympathetically challenges the parents of a fallen soldier; publicly attacking his mother. This is a complicated world indeed. So we need a plan. We need to harness the energy gained by our Women's March! We need to grab it up and use it wisely! Let's use it to bring the WORLD in with us. Let the world join us in saying, "we simply can NOT accept, tolerate, or turn a blind eye to this behaviour! We certainly can't allow it from our Leader and Chief!" Let him understand we won't simply go back to our homes, close our front doors.......and silence. We won't ever forget. President's Day is February 20, each year in the United States. Usually, we use this day in memorandum to celebrate each former President whom has given his sweat; his thought; his worry; his life's energy to the protection and stability of this country. They have pondered each and every one of us! How special we must be to have so many Fathers attempting to succesfully guide our future into infinitum. Have each been fully successful? No. We are complicated children. Still, they did try. They did give their best effort. They did make some difference or change; despite whether we approved of or liked it very much. So, we do celebrate each and every one of them; thanking them for their love and devotion. This year, I propose, we do something different. I propose we all take a moment. This year, I suggest we remind, this, naughty President, WE SEE YOU, AND WE DON'T APPROVE! On the beds of your predecessors, "You Are A Disgrace to Our Beloved Mother America, Sir!"... I propose we ALL gather at our NEAREST CITY HALL on President's Day, linking hands fom city to city. Let's take the division this President prefers, and turn it in to a truly unified country. Let's stand hand to hand; sister to sister; friend to friend; mother to child, father to son, lover to lover. Let's form our President-elect's wall for him; linking each city in loving humanity! Let's link every City Hall on President's Day in a symbolic message that, WE, THE PEOPLE, do indeed, have the POWER of choice! You, MR. PRESIDENT, are not a king, an emperor, nor a god! WE do have the option of removing you from office! Please, become part of the path to a brighter future. Join Us in spreading the word in FaceBook, Twitter, and any social media. Join your local community and map the line. 5:00am 2-20-2017 Hand to Hand, let's undivide our fractured country! It takes a word to divide us. It only takes a hand to link and heal us with hope.
