This proves the journalist understood what he was doing and it’s intended impact. If not for a protective father, Venus may very well have walked away with doubts about her abilities.

How many amazing Men, Women and good people do we know always grinding, reaching and grasping for stuff outside themselves? And are still miserable, unable to be content and live at peace with themselves! Look around! They are a dime a dozen and I used to be one of them! Always seeking approvals from others. Always being needy (mostly a man issue). Allowing emotions and feelings to move you from here and there and getting caught up in stories that are not true. Always trying to force and bend others, events, and situations my way. I was a HUGE culprit in that rat race, but I had to learn the hard way! I lost everything... Not once, but twice! The universe was really humbling me and trying to tell me that... Fast forward 3 years, almost 30,000 followers worldwide, and a proclamation from the Mayor of her hometown declaring March 22, Full Figured Fierce Day, Dionne’s dream has now turned into a full blown movement and she shows no signs of stopping. Still modeling, Dionne is hired for show across the country, such as, 1426 Fashion Week in Houston and Portland Fashion Week in Oregon,plus designers Kenneth Doswell of Betty Jean Couture and Lavender’s Jungle, and celebrity shoe designer Tyler Bailey. On Sunday, August 26, 3018, I met all these wonderful #WomenOfExcellence for our respective #ACHIMagazineAwardNominations. I sat and listened to each of your struggles, your challenges and your unique stride to becomig a survivor of circumstances. I felt your faith in God as He guided each of us. I am deeply humbled by this entire process. I don't remember everyone's name but your stories have deeply blessed and touched my heart. I have new sisters now. Still have no clue who nominated me for ACHI MAGAZINE WOMAN ON THE RISE AND ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD. However, I do know that God works in strange and unique ways.
