man I wanna write an au of warriors where the prophesy about kin of your kin rival the stars etc etc and people just fucking freak out. Thunderclan has to fight off all the other clans just to *survive*. They all interpreted it as firestar's kin are gonna be so strong they're gonna destroy Starclan. So they have to destroy every Firestar relative Now or Else.

In one of these Many Many Battles, Leafpool is tending to Crowfeather in secret cuz he got hurt Extremely Bad and was gonna die if she didn't do anything because Windclan had left him behind. He's like wow women do love me huh. Leafpool ends up bringing him to Thunderclan and they Hesitantly accept this guy cuz well Leafpool said he was cool and was kicked out for being pro-Thunderclan and they REALLY REALLY need the warriors.

Leafpool and Squirrelflight still eventually have to leave, and the clan is genuinely fucking devestated. They all assume Crowfeather lured them into a trap, so he gets Executed. They can't spare the time to feed him, man. They just can't. They have to train the apprentices and hunt and patrol borders... He's a liability.

Though, of course, Leafpool and Squirrelflight come back with kits. Four, four kits. Lionkit, Jaykit, Hollykit, and Breezekit. Breezekit looks suspiciously like a certain suddenly dead tomcat, but no one thinks too hard because thank Starclan these two are alive. Squirrelflight says theyre hers, she just left and had them in secret with Leafpool at her side just in case clan camp was attacked. So sorry for the worry. No One Cares they're just so glad a capable warrior and Leafpool are *back*.

Leaf asks where Crowfeather is. Everyone else looks at each other weirdly. Firestar, haggard and losing a life every other moon, is the one who tells her. Leafpool is *appalled*. They... they would just ***kill him***? Without even waiting? She knows times aren't good, but he was an innocent cat. He was her... friend. She saved his life and her father took it away. Leafpool is so utterly destroyed by this, two days later she takes Breezekit and Hollykit and runs off to Windclan. Sure, Windclan may be rallying against her father, but she's a medicine cat. And these kits look like Crowfeather. She can pass them off as Crowfeather's kits with a loner. Or something. Her excuses don't matter because Windclan accepts her. Not... not easily, but Onestar isn't so far gone down the Thunderclan hate train that he won't allow a medicine cat (notably celibate) return two Windclan kits to Windclan. And stay, to heal more Windclan cats. This is fine.

Proper all-clan gatherings stopped happening the moon the war on Thunderclan began. The clans are so caught up in destroying Thunderclan that they can't even leave their territory without being viciously attacked. The three other clans do meet, though, just while keeping Thunderclan in their place, stagnating and hopefully dying. Leafpool ends up being asked to join one of these gatherings, and ends up getting pestered by everyone. What happened to Crowfeather, what did Thunderclan do to him and you that even you, their medicine cat, left? How far have they fallen?

Leafpool, still upset, doesn't help her kin. She speaks clearly and openly, and lies out of her teeth to protect her young. Crowfeather was captured at the end of a battle between Thunder and Wind, and Leafpool was tasked with healing him. Eventually she broke him out however, and helped him flee Thunderclan. In the wilderness, he met and befriended... Pond, an orange she-cat who kept him safe and happy. He and her had... four kits. She says his other two kits, Jay and Lion, are still in Thunderclan. Because they tracked Crowfeather down, killed him and Pond, and took his kits, intending to train them to destroy their father's clan. Leafpool hated this, and hated patching up murderers, so she took as many kits as she could carry--only two, sadly--and fled. She now stands as a medicine cat, who took a vow of chastity by the way she may be Firestar's kin but she doesn't have any powers and she's never had kits because she's a medicine cat ahhahahaha, rebelling against Thunderclan. And the other three clans are like oh hell yeah we're justified. And Leafpool is like wait. I don't want my dad and family destroyed. Oh fuck and shit I made a mistake in my post-Crowfeather Being Murdered Anger. Oh No.

it'd be this harrowing story of Lion and Jay having to come into their powers much sooner to even keep Thunderclan *alive*, and of Holly and Breeze (I just like him), *also* developing powers and being like hm. What does this say about me as a cat. maybe someone is lying. While Leafpool is subtly sabotaging the effort to kill her family and trying to keep secrets and mourning the life she could have had if she hadn't been so stupid and reckless.

i do like how sofia aged badly, in 99.99% stories when there's a 20 years time skip the aged women look unchanged at all which is more insulting than having a woman in her 40s gain weight and lose a tooth. noses don't work like that though even if they've been broken but ig it's a stylistic choice to make her resemble a baba yaga in appearance while keeping a strong and kind spirit

Hate that whole storyline. Sister killers. But damn. Thank god. I like Avad/Aloy a LOT and try to ignore all the ridiculous writing around the Ersa thing and then things look better but I must admit there was no indication of returned feelings there either. Talanah and Varl and Petra had the best chances. So ok well yeah a new character seems fine. I'm sure I'll like her.

basically the thing that interests me with “au where obito went home” is the scenerio where both kakashi and obito simultaneously blame themselves for rins death lol— kakashi for obvious reasons, obito because with the context of his survival and the cursed seal on his heart and some input from the uchiha clan and the extremely suspicious circumstances surrounding rins kidnapping and subsequent bomb-priming it’s really really really abundantly obvious the whole thing was a setup to trigger obito’s mangekyo. and that’s why she died. [remembers that the zetsu were teasing him about saying rin and kakashis names in his sleep and has another panic attack]

obito just absolutely slaughtered the ever living fuck out of everything that moved. and is incoherently violently devastatingly destroyed in a way that is going to make talking to him at all, like, nigh impossible. is he weakened? yes, a bit, he just unlocked his mangekyo he’s not firing on all cylinders, but he’s still a threat. he’s not going to take minato teleporting into the scene well at ALL— for the purposes of this scenerio this is the point he’s like kneeling down next to rins corpse, so zetsus retracted and he’s recognizably obito.

MINATO pops into the scene and sees one of his students not moving on the ground (kakashi) (dead????) the second very obviously a corpse (rin) (too late again) and the third figure is a bedraggled, bloodsoaked, almost alien looking— obito? (what the fuck?)

i’m just, like, rattling it, because i think realistically obito absolutely fucking loses it on minato, who still has the upper hand in this situation and is not going to lose that fight naturally (and is mostly trying to figure out how to deescalate without hurting his bewilderingly alive student worse and then grab kakashi and rins… body and leave so he’s trying and failing to talk obito down in the meanwhile, and also, well, obito is impermeable so he can’t really grab the kid either until he figures out the timing ala kakashi) but there’s also white zetsu who isn’t terribly smart but absolutely knows that minato was meant to be held up and too busy to catch obito out here and this is bad so i think between obito not knowing how to teleport yet and guruguru attempting to force obito to leave (possibly by triggering the seal, if he has control over it?) it might just decide to elect to cut losses and flat out kill obito before he opens his mouth about madara and kuro zetsu and the statue, which would be. bad. depending if it had the authority to elect to make that decision. and it’s fused to obito at the moment, so making his body fail feels perfectly plausible for what guruguru is capable of doing. if it can make that decision and doesn’t just slither off and try to bail.

yotsuyu’s story is an odd one because they did not want to write a story that really went into any feminist concepts at all but they did want to use things that were inextricable from them as tragedy fodder. so in that way it both does and doesn’t imply doma is uniquely patriarchal/misogynist in a game that otherwise has never turned this gaze in any way on any other part of it asides from random mentions of rape with only female npcs as victims. like they wanted to write a womanpain story but also are the same people who were like umm livia was just a cuhrazy nympho

Watching Rebel Moon both parts 1 and 2

I mean I can understand the bad reviews but…

Objectively? Yeah there’s some tired-out tropes here. There’s a LOT of regurgitation. Half the plot of the first movie is A Bugs Life almost to a T.

Subjectively I am enjoying myself! I don’t mind watching A Bugs Life in live action with sci-fi elements. I’m a simple guy.

Love the robot that got like six total minutes of screen time but whose entire character arc as I can tell is a straight line INSTANTLY into Druid. Just one girl at the river taking to it and like Instant Druid Mode. Mechanical Keyleth.

Guy dying for womanpain instead of woman dying for manpain? Happens twice, cannot be more delighted. (I mean I LIKED the second guy that died but the genre subverting that it caused kind of smoothed it over for me)

The alien designs are cool and unexpected and fairly well done CGI that makes me think maybe the CGI artists got paid a reasonable amount (have not researched this but like…from a person that does animation and 3D modeling, the results look to be made with love, or at the very least made with enough time to polish them well without being yelled at for being too slow)

Yeah I mean. The fun factor is pretty high for me regardless of whether or not it’s “good.” Take that as you will but I’ll own and rewatch both of these…
