[Audentity] [Klaus Schulze] [1983] [Double LP] 40th anniversary of "Audentity". Another great masterpiece! An artist makes an effort to offer something new and already dyed-in-the-wool fans turn away from him. This is what happened to Klaus Schulze with the unusual but highly interesting and impressive double album "Audentity". Already with the two predecessors "Dig It" and "Trancefer" Klaus Schulze had a hard time to convince his dyed-in-the-wool fan community that digital doesn't have to be automatically bad compared to analog. Unfortunately, many 80's electronic albums were not really intoxicating. Even Klaus Schulze did not make the best albums in the 80s and 90s. ���Dig It" and "Trancefer" as well as the here presented "Audentity" belong to the best from this creative phase. Well, "Audentity" is a very unusual album. It deals with the tragic and short life of the poet "Georg Trakl" to whom Klaus Schulze dedicated the short but brilliant piece "Georg Trakl" on his milestone album "X" in 1978. "Audentity" is a concept album that has its weaknesses. For example, I don't think the pieces on the first Record "Tango - Saty" and "Opheylissem" were very successful. On the other hand, I like "Cellistica", which is hated by the fans because of its allegedly clumsy rhythm, and the very romantic "Amourage"! On the second record, Klaus Schulze proves his ingenious ability to handle the latest technologies with virtuosity. Especially the piece "Sebastian im Traum", which really looks like a dream, is fantastic! Klaus Schulze was a great admirer of Frank Herbert and paid homage to his novel cycle like a bible. . Klaus Schulze dedicated his own small but magnificent masterpiece to this very complex literary masterpiece in 1979 Klaus Schulze published his work "Dune". More than 40 years later, the genius Klaus Schulze (who unfortunately changed his cosmic address far too early on 26 April 2022) once again pays homage to the work of Frank Herbert with the album "Deus Arrakis" . . Klaus Schulze has released a tremendous number of grandiose masterpieces. "Deus Arrakis", which can undoubtedly be seen as a continuation of the 1979 album "Dune", expands this enormous number of grandiose masterpieces. . Thank you Deus Klaus for the great “Spice”! . . This month (03.09.2021) the third remake of the novel "Dune" by the American writer Frank Herbert, published in 1965, had its premiere at the Venice International Film Festival. Klaus Schulze was a great admirer of Frank Herbert and paid homage to his novel cycle like a bible.

Klaus Schulze dedicated his own small but magnificent masterpiece to this very complex literary masterpiece. In 1979 Klaus Schulze published his work "Dune". The LP consists of only two tracks the title track and the B-side "Shadows of Ignorance". These two tracks could not be more different. But what they have in common is their incredible atmospheric density.

Together with the divine cellist Wolfgang Tiepold, Klaus Schulze creates a bizarre, bizarre, strange and heavy seeming soundscape on the title track . The B-side "Shadows of Ignorance" features rock legend Arthur Brown alongside Wolfgang Tiepold. This track can't be compared to anything else. An incredibly rhythmic and pulsating track, which builds up an undreamt-of tension through Arthur Brown's spoken vocals.
