Dotty finds Wolfbell in a somewhat usual spot for her, curled up on the floor. But as they get close, Wolfbell’s ear flicks and the right bell on her ear jingles a bit, her eyes opening sleepily and she gives a small yawn.

Wolfbell: hmm? Me..? Help? S.. sure. As.. as long as it doesn’t include anymore b-burrs!

With a little laugh at what Wolfbell hopes was a funny joke, she uncurls and gets up off the floor, stretching her wings before tucking them back against her backside. Whatever adventure awaits, she hopes it will turn out . . .reasonably not disastrously. If such a thing is even possible. Guess she’s about to find out.

I found this old sketch in some ruins I was exploring today. For its age, it’s in remarkable condition, ripped along one edge to suggest it might’ve come from a book with more pages. On the back is some writing, it’s faded, it’s a much older version of Galactic Common so I had a hard time reading it at first.

It’s talking about the sighting of some unknown creature that was spotted flying around. The writing goes on to suggest the timing of the creature’s arrival goes hand in hand with the arrival of some mass death event.

The drawing calls the beast ‘Lykos’. I wonder if I can find the rest of the book and learn more.

Stargazing. Wolfbell is often up late at night. There’s a spot just outside the castle walls that she often goes to when she has big thoughts to think and feelings to process. Looking up at the night sky, she can’t help but wonder, is her home planet, if she has one, rotating any of those many, many stars she sees?

When we interacted together, these bells seemed to be acting strange, so I figured out that these were important to you...! I get the feeling you had it rough, so an act of kindness for you is the least something like me could do.

Wolfbell immediately gets up off the floor, seizing her missing bell and returning it to its rightful spot on her ear.

She’s speaking a bit fast, and it’s kind of hard to hear over the purring, but she sounds happy!

Wolfbowl: W.. well. I guess I’m kinda like that, I’m the Hero of Dreamland…. I-I.. haven’t actually left Dreamland since I’ve arrived, I haven’t had time to, and I can’t fly very far yet.. wings too small.

Wolfbowl: B.. but if you want to visit Dreamland… uh.. there’s Whispy Woods, if you’re a.. nature guardian you might like that. He’s pretty nice. There’s also Babagahara, but uh.. it has some pretty.. b..big bugs. I also like the various cliffs and canyons.. Dyna Blade doesn’t seem to mind me. There’s a lot of nice spots really.. I could probably show you sometime.

Submit theories, head canons, or guesses you have about the characters or lore shown thus far about the Wolfbell AU.

Rules:

-You can submit as many as you want. There is no limit to how many entries you can submit, your only cap is your own imagination. You have my permission to explode my inbox. Is there a limit to the inbox? I would like to test this theory. Please specify if your submissions into my inbox are asks for the Kirby Oc Tourney or for the 50 Followers Event I am an easily confused creature. Alternatively, you can make an actual post with your submission, but be sure to tag me so I can see it and specify that it’s for the event in the post.

-They do not have to be about Wolfbell (the character) specifically! Feel free to take a stab at some of the other characters within the universe or simply the lore and story itself. As long as it’s relevant to the overall AU, it counts.

-These theories/head canons can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. Fully and completely encourage walls of dialogue and text and in depth analysis. ‘Haha I think character likes *x* or *y*’ and that’s the theory is just as valid. Just know, I’m a sucker for a good long lore dump and it is my weakness.

-Submissions can be serious or silly, it’s both serious but I also want to hear your unhinged hot takes.

-Please keep it fairly SFW. That being said as the Wolfbell AU is more on the NSFW side covering darker themes, I will allow such, within reason. If you’re uncertain feel free to ask me.

-If you submit entries in my ask box you need to not be an anon because I can’t declare you the winner if I don’t know who you are.

-Feel free to include little doodles and illustrations for your submissions, however this is not required! You can also include your own ocs interacting with mine or interacting in some way to make it more fun.

-If two people submit the same exact ‘correct answer’, I will go with the one I feel best explained or conveyed the theory and or head canon. Again, I’m personally biased for blocks of text.

-While there are multiple ways to win, you cannot ‘win twice’, if you submit more than one ‘correct answer’ and make it to the top three you’ll still only win once and two other people will still be other winners. The ‘winning answer’ will simply be the one I liked most and any additional ‘correct answers’ will simply earn you bonus doodles. In the total there’s gonna be six winners, three ‘most correct answers’ and three ‘most incorrect answers’, along with several little bonus winners where I was amused and entertained.

-If you submit an answer and it’s spot on and you crack the lore, obviously for spoiler purposes the submission will be handled differently. But there will be bonus ducks.

What will happen:

Gonna let this contest go on for a week! By the end of the week, I will go through all of the submissions and I will slap them all on a ‘iceberg’, with the most unhinged and non canon answers in the void and the closest to canon answers on the surface!

The top three at the tip top of the iceberg and the bottom most three will get a prize! A full body coloured render of their Kirby oc (or if you don’t have a Kirby oc/don’t want it to be a Kirby oc we can discuss that but yeah, prizes!) if you ‘win more than once’ by submitting multiple ‘correct answers’ you’ll simply get funny little bonus sketches of your characters.

Wolfbell spotted!!!

I love how creature you’ve made her look, she definitely looks way more ‘wolf’ in this interpretation! The little claws on the feet make me think she’s about to burrow into the dirt like the animal ability haha. The design looks more like something you’d see from the game and something that would actually be canon to the Kirby series.

Ironically she looks much more like Wolfbell’s 1.0 drawing before I actually decided she was going to be the character Wolfbell in the Wolfbell AU and I had to change her design to what it is now to fit the lore. Prior to such, Wolfbell’s paws were much more paw-like and she had no wings, horns or tail.

Wolfbell without a blue mouth messes with my lore brain a bit haha, as does the fierce and assertive aura the stance and expression gives off. A confident Wolfbell? Not in this au.

Overall wonderful job, I love it very much, a lovely addition to the wolfbell spotted tag and my folder of Wolfbell fan art! All the other characters look so good too!

The au tells the story of The Star-Crossed Hero of Dreamland, Wolfbell. Who came crashing from a rift in the sky after the residents of Dreamland received a mysterious prophecy telling them the answer to their problem lies within Wolfbell. In a universe where Kirby is seemingly nowhere to be found, this amnesiac hero without a past takes his place and is thrown into a doomed destiny to defeat Nightmare and stop Nightmare Enterprises.

The au serves as a means to indirectly tell my story, as many of the themes and some of the struggles the characters face are struggles I have faced myself or are still currently facing.

For that reason, I caution younger viewers or viewers sensitive to dark or disturbing topics to tread with caution.

Lmao Valfrey just scooping up Wolfbell like ‘this is mine now’, next thing I know it’s gonna cut to the ‘I’ve only had her for five minutes but if anything happened to her I’d destroy everyone in this room and then myself’ meme.

As per the Wolfbell Experience, her second meeting with someone usually goes much better than the first after she’s had some time to calm down.

Still endlessly amused by how big they are compared to Wolfie, granted she’s just a lil guy and has some growing to do. In the meantime? Scoop her up and gently hold, poor kid spends so much time protecting others she never remembers to protect herself or that she’s even worth that.

I’m sure standing right next to Necro Knight will have absolutely no ill effects on Wolfbell and she will be completely and totally okay!

But look at the little goober she’s so cute and probably so damm confused by what’s happening, like- her experiences would lead her to believe that the normal outcome of being stabbed (checks notes) 37 times is death- but it’s probably fine.
