In case you haven’t heard yet, Montana and Idaho have both passed laws that allow the contracted, government-funded slaughter of 90% of the states’ wolves. Their reasoning is that wolves kill livestock and harm ranchers. Not only is this wildly untrue (wolves account for less than 1% of livestock killings), but wolves are a key species in our wildlife ecosystems. These laws will have lasting consequences.
