Liam taking break from social media has nothing to do with “his horrid fans” (and if you want to look at horrid fans you should browse the Oasis Reddit, the Noel fans there are the worst)

Liam said that he’s not gonna be very active this year, that’s why he doesn’t tweet as much. It happened before, I remember between the end As You Were album cycle and the beginning of the WMWN album cycle he tweeted like once or twice a month. People just get used to him tweeting every day during the covid times and some time after, it wasn’t like that all the time. Of course we don’t know for sure, maybe something happened but so far I don’t see any indicators of that

Fair enough. Obviously, we are all free to draw our own conclusions.

I did see indications. Liam did acknowledge the fandom divide, which I don’t recall him doing before. I know he takes routine breaks. However, It’s not a stretch to say that toxic fans could have been one of the factors, among others. And make no mistake, those people are toxic.

I’m aware of the ones on Reddit which is why I don’t join in there. Twitter fans (and I use the word ‘fan’ very loosely) are something else. Unlike Reddit users they have direct communication with Liam. Not all, but many of them are self-serving, manipulative attention seekers who will say anything at all to Liam to get the slightest bit of attention from him. When you start seeing tweets to Liam that Noel is depressed and about to commit suicide? That’s not healthy engagement. Not long after that was when Liam said he knows it must be hard being a fan of him or Noel.

N.B for the record, my actual words on previous ask: “…how horrid some of his so-called fans can be” not “his horrid fans” because obviously those aren’t genuine Liam fans who care about him.

One day when I’ve got too much time on my hands I’m going to post every track on As You Were and WMWN and say how much I think Liam was involved in the writing and why. Maybe it’ll be completely off base and wrong but I think I have a good ear for that stuff and some of the opinions I see on here are soooo off from what I think.

For example, I don’t think Liam wrote much of All My People at all even though the writing is so simplistic. It’s a little too pandering to his fanbase and it’s actually I think too simplistically written to be his. I think his label actually had a lot to do with that song being on the album.

Also people tout Paper Crown as being so personal but that and Chinatown (which I could have clicked from a mile away) are the only two songs Liam has no writing credit on. And I agree it doesn’t at all sound like something he would have written. Maybe inspired by his life but not his personal words.

Hi Julia! I saw the interview you posted and the video of it and read some Reddit comments on it.(sorry about my English) do you think it is just Noel playing with the press again or he meaning it? I am new here, and I don’t know if Noel has said similar stuff since 2009. To me, he seemed less tense than last couple months. Thank you!

Hi, Anon! Don’t apologise for your English, it isn’t my first language either! Anyway. The last time I saw Noel soft like that was in 2015. I think there are three possibilities:

1-) It’s just a PR stunt because Noel’s got a bad image from the fans and his new releases flopped

2-) Noel listened to WMWN and realised Liam’s value and noticed that, if someone’s gonna ask for a reunion, that would be himself, not Liam. So now he is preparing Liam and the fans for that

3-) Noel read Liam’s statements saying that it was the last time he was trying to reach out to Noel and that he basically had given up on him. That was enough to make Noel desperate and try to “fix” all the stuff he’s said these days
