Why are you so against having separate labels for romantic and sexual attraction?

Cuz the two are so intertwined that a separation would create so much gray area it's all a mute point. What counts as "romantic" or "sexual" is highly dependant on not just the individual person, but the culture, the relationship, and everything else around them. And the amount of gray area that ensues because of this means that what a label means is unique to each person who uses it-- ie. it's entirely useless as a label to find a community in. Shared experiences won't work because how you define your community is different. And the point of a label is to help find and develop a community. It's important that words mean at least relatively the same thing within the group it's trying to define.

Not to mention by hyper analyzing your attraction you're dividing yourself into such a small group you end up with a community that can't actually provide resources-- which is another very important part of a community. It also alienated you from groups around you as you try to further and further divide yourself.
