I've read it first thing after i woke up and i'm left completely in shambles. It was a pure emotional punch in every way imaginable i don't think i'll recover from it anytime soon.

It was so good nonny. It was so so good????

I left a comment so for my detailed thoughts it'll be there.

But for some thoughts here (especially in the hopes to get the fellow Belial lovers i know are reading my post to read it):

it's an incredibly written introspective journey into Belial's head and memories, everything about it is so incredibly visceral.

If people have vibed with the way we tend to talk about Belial & Lucifer's dynamic on my blog, this is a must read, this is genuinely so fantastic, and sad, and cathartic, and i'm in awe.

Genuinely would encourage anyone who likes wmtsb to check it out, it's definitely worth your time.

as for me i'll just cry over it a bit longer.

Thank you so much for writing it nonny, and for sharing it with me. Like i genuinely can't put into words just how thankful i am to have been able to experience this emotional trip, which imo really lines up so well with wmtsb and is written SO well that it was really just. so perfect.

All those fanfics about Sandalphon’s hypothetical interactions with the crew post WMTSB 2 are debunked in a sense because God’s Reverie states that he pretty much stays in his room all day avoiding everyone.

He only comes out when the Captain drags him somewhere to farm. He doesn’t know who Lucio is. He probably doesn’t know that the ship has other primals besides Rosetta. Or that the Archangels’ disciples are part of the crew as well. In all likelihood, he probably hasn’t come across Azazel or Olivia either.

Basically we need post 000 fics of Sandy getting the realization a bit too late that the ship has a surprising amount of primals on it.

Since you linked the fanfic (☺️), I personally choose to believe that like 100 years after his failed assassination plot, Belial returned to Canaan once more and again Lucifer welcomed him with a smile (despite his feelings being obviously hurt, especially after last time) and this time, Belial actually sticks around for coffee and they manage to have a conversation and maybe it ends with Belial only breaking one cup instead of all of them

After that Belial starts dropping by more often and they spend time, casually, slowly rehabilitating Belial like one would a feral cat. Giving him time and space but always offering the love he so clearly craves

As a bonus, since we don't know when the story is set exactly, maybe by the time Sandalphon goes on his rampage the brothers have managed to patch things up somewhat, leading to everyone getting a happy ending, actually

Also maybe Cosmos showed up sometime during the domestication process and did her best to help, but that's just for me personally

BUT AAHHH the idea of those two finally getting back in contact after everything :sob: i'm soft. We always go back to rehabilitating Belial as a ferral cat i see.

Oh god imagining Belial being more or less in contact/not trying to kill Lucifer from the shadow when Sandalphon is on rampage is such an incredible prompt. Especially with how much Lucifer was avoiding Sandalphon during wmtsb pt1 because he didn't know how to face him + has his duty to uphold. Belial being there, more or less rehabilitated, would probably see Sandalphon destroy the world, have a good laugh at how Lucifer's little protegee went from 0 to 100 in term of how to demand for affection, but he could also probably be the one to level with Lucifer, yknow, "if you don't want someone you care about to try to kill you once again".

AND ALSO GOOD FOR COSMOS. HAVE HER JOIN TOO. The angels have always been kind of secluded in their own little community and everything, Lucifer bonding with Cosmos was one way to go out of this community, and Belial deserves to have a taste of it too. To know what it's like to interreact with people who don't expect of you to follow Lucilius's greater plan and everything.

Maybe she decided to follow in his footsteps and that's both why she joined the fallen angels and got obsessed with Lucilius. Belial is the worst role model ever

tbh i don't remember the details about Olivia since she was introduced before wmtsb??? technically?? i know she's part of the fallen angels and did it out of devotion for one of her superiors, and that she joined our crew with the intention to betray us down the road for the person she was devoted about.

I think i remember reading it was about Lucilius, but i could be wrong. She could be like that for Belial.

.... but i sure hope as hell for her that it's not the case.

if she followed Belial's footsteps to the Fallen Angels this is a disaster. Belial stop being a role model for people it never works out for them. holy shit.
