Inconsistencies between the haser and the maleh texts
I have now 'finished' Job in my test cases. I came across several inconsistencies in my own work and from this exercise, I was able to both identify them and correct them. So there is some value to this very detailed work. I also now have identified 25 instances where there are inconsistent mappings from the pointed to the unpointed text. I have put these in an error table so I don't have to keep looking at them.
My assumption is that the relationship between source and result is a single valued function not a multi-valued relation. I don't see why detailed language of this sort should not work that way at a word form level including consonants and vowels. (Essentially I am not allowing homonyms at this level. None of the inconsistencies I have seen involve a homonym in any case.) And as for the accents, the music is independent, a 'separate magisterium' from the consonants and vowels. True, one could change the pointing, but I don't want to make that assumption.
I now have about 25% of the words in my test data and examples of about half the stems. By the time I am finished should I be so lucky, I should be able to reduce the complexity of the algorithms further. So far reasoning by vowel, by stem, and prefix/suffix works - but it seems too complex still. I suspect rules related to possessives, and binyanim should be able to be articulated. But I note that either qamats or holem may play the same role in, for instance, a participle, so simplification is not obvious yet.
It is likely that the human brain / mind / or whatever, is capable of as much memorization as a computer algorithm. So complexity may be the rule, and not simplicity.

Life of mom with a camera shy teen. Dab is the best I get. He knows I'm trying to take a photo I get dab, then head turn. Guess I gotta be quicker than that. 😍 Thankfully bus catching is temporary especially since it never showed and a drive to school for drop off was necessary. Seniors in the building let's get it! 🎓 #co17 #senior #wmrhs #raines #rainesvikings (at William M. Raines High School)

For my February vacation my JROTC Spartan Battalion unit from White Mountain Regional High School. A school from the rural region of northern New Hampshire, with less than 400 students participated in a cadet exchange with the Patriot Battalion of Francis Lewis High School in Queens NYC. This school has over 4,000 students. The week before Francis Lewis sent 6 cadets to our high school to experience the rural lifestyle in Northern New Hampshire. Then the following week we sent 5 of our cadets to experience the city life in NYC. Coming from a very rural part of the country with very little people and few public services, and going into one of the largest cities in the world. The least I can say is that I was blown away. This city is massive, extremely diverse and highly populated. Our cadets were also completely blown away. Francis Lewis High School is the 4th largest in the country, and their JROTC battalion is the largest in the country. Their battalion totals over 1,000 cadets, compared with our 53. Their unit is also national champions in every team they participate in. Their Drill, Raider, Academic and Color Guard teams are the best in the country. Their cadets lead us around Manhattan, and we were the stereotypical tourists; being in the way of everyone and not knowing how to use the metro cards. Although we were complete dorks, we had so much fun. Experiencing traditional Chinese food, seeing all the buildings was a blast. I want to thank Francis Lewis cadets for showing us your beautiful city, and I hope I can experience it again.
