full wizard101 worlds ranked but I mean it this time
20. Krokotopia - boring, small, repetitive areas, colonialism! (the new update will take some getting used to)
19. Karamelle - I work retail, okay? this is horrifying. it's also just regularly horrifying, too
18. Avalon - girl I love arthurian lore but this ain't it! it's just BORING
17. Dragonspyre - every area is the same set of colors and streets and I HATE crystal grove but I do like the final dungeon and that time travel one
16. Marleybone - the ire against the irish is palpable and bad and I'm only happy that it's short and easy
15. Wysteria - tiny. easy. not much there
14. Mooshu - happy bright world but girlie if this is japan you can't pretend it's china! you can't! easy dungeons tho
13. Celestia - love the celestial theming but I HATE the crustaceans and I want them all to BURN
ground zero, neutral zone, previous worlds are plunging into active dislike, the next set of worlds are plunging into active like.

12. Novus - idk how to explain but I love the aesthetics and the vibes and point of the colonialism mockery and that's great! but also I just...it irks (lol) me. idk
11. Khrysalis (pt.1) - it's like fine. don't love it (except Dyvim) but I don't hate it. and we get buddies!
10. Polaris - love those vibes, don't like the proportions, love the music, don't love the dungeons with a million rooms
9. Wallaru - pleasantly humorous, pretty open scapes, not a fan of mr. kroaker or those combat wombats, but the vibes were all right
8. Khrysalis (pt.2) - prettier and more geographically interesting and seemed to go by a lot faster
7. Zafaria - I know, I know, but besides Belloq and Elissa's tomb I really enjoy this world. not annoying
6. Wizard City - a classic, enjoyable, nostalgic, I never get tired of it except if I'm in colossus boulevard (and the commons theme <3)
5. Mirage - open worldy and unique areas and some funny sidequests and the whole dune thing was fun. there's. you know. but it was a nice change of pace
4. Grizzleheim and Wintertusk - I don't always love it but I'm lying I do I mean not always but I do. hope that helps
3. Lemuria - love all of Heap. some other parts were just okay. but the league of extraordinary animals and the power grazers for the win!
2. Azteca - beautiful and lush and diverse and fun and far more culturally sensitive!
1. Empyrea - if I'm not enjoying the references I am enjoyably hating them, and also it's more open worldy and diverse and a generally good time. and I had a good team up for the end. so. (plus reverie and it's endless supply of aethyr ore is wonderful)
Selenopolis - it's so pretty! will update when I play more
Aquila - girl it barely exists but if it existed more I would love her
Arcanum - I love wizardversity but this is a train stop, not a world

Here’s a quick look at my wizard throughout her entire story in the spiral. More in depth under the cut <3

So this is Kimberly before she got sent off to Ravenwood, when she was still running about Dun Dara and the Weirwood without a care in the world. The outfit isn’t based on any specific gear, but takes inspiration from the designs of the foxes all over Avalon. The boots are the Spellwright’s Druidic Boots and will be consistent throughout every design except the paradox, since I headcanon them to be shaped around her hooves, and therefore the most comfortable option with every outfit.

Upon arrival in Ravenwood, Kim was fitted with traditional wizard city robes. Here you can see her wearing the Fairy Cloak in dark green and gold, and the Daredevil’s hat in the same colours. Her wand is Gravewynd’s Earth Staff, one of my favourite early game wand models.

In Kimberly’s fifth year at Ravenwood, she was selected to compete in the spiral cup. Here, you can see her wearing the Vestment of Earth, to represent her school while she duels in Wysteria, and carrying the Wand of the Oasis (the life school’s wand for a spiral cup competitor). She did, however, refuse to wear the hood from the Wysteria uniform, and instead opted for the Widow’s bewitching hat in dark green and gold. She finds it easier to fit a beanie around her antlers than a hood.

After her success in the spiral cup, Kimberly was chosen in her seventh and final year at Ravenwood to represent wizard city in the immortal games. Here you can see her wearing the Vestment of Zeus’ Aegis, adopting the traditional dress of Aquila out of respect for the tournament. Her helmet is the Pixie’s Mask of Encanta, which might seem a bit strange. In my personal wizard101 canon, competitors in the immortal games are challenged to acquire or (ideally) make a helmet which best represents them to wear while they compete. Kimberly was raised by the Fae and has a strong connection to life and trees, so this helmet was perfect for her. The wand is the Aquilan Velite Lance, which was gifted to her as a congratulatory gesture for winning the tournament.

One thing Kimberly enjoyed about the magical tournaments far more than just competing in them was teaching and coaching other students. With that in mind, she moved to Wysteria after she graduated from Ravenwood and began to teach the young wizards from every world how to duel. Here, she’s not wearing any sort of helmet or hood, since she finds it more helpful for the students if they can see her face. The hairstyle is “The Mists Dun Dara” as a tribute to her homelands. The robe is the Greenwarden’s energetic shroud. The wand is the rosewood persuader. All Avalon-sourced gear to make her feel more comfortable and at home.

This outfit is from around the time Kimberly was first recruited to aid the young wizard on their quest, so around the beginning of dragonspyre in arc 1. Like the previous outfit, the gear is all from Avalon. She wears the Spellwright’s Druidic Cowl and the Stag Lord’s Cape in green and gold. The wand is the sword of kings, although prior to acquiring it during the Avalon quest line, she was still using the Aquilan Velite Lance.

This outfit hails from the beginning of arc 3, when the schism first start to become a problem. She stole a schismist robe of the first and wears it around the arcanum to freak out the scholars. The helmet is the Burrower Helm of Ardor. The wand is Zander’s focussed staff. As the child of light and shadow, black and white streaks have begun to grow into her hair.

Ah yes, the scion of Bartleby. Here, Kimberly is wearing the Lively Liaison’s cloak, as per her promotion from Arcanum Initiate to Liaison. Much like when she competed in the spiral cup all those years ago, she refuses to wear the ridiculous hat issued by the arcanum and instead opts for the lofty alphoi mantle. Her wand is the Branch of the World Tree. I know it’s a bit odd to give her a level 45 wand at this point, but I thought it made sense since she is the Scion of the World Tree in question. With the advancement of her powers, the streaks in her hair have grown more noticeable. All this time channeling both light and shadow magic is bringing her closer to becoming the Paradox.

I think this one is pretty self explanatory. It’s the Paradox gear from the end of Empyrea, except I coloured it green instead of blue to represent Kimberly’s life magic. Her hair has completely grown out into the colours of the void. At the moment I don’t have a solid design for her in arc 4, but maybe I’ll work on that next.

Report 20: Sidequest Logs, Alright!
So I decided to take a bit of a detour with the main story, as far behind as I am, and clean up some sidequest dungeons in my backlog outside of fishing and crafting. Namely Aquila, Helephant Tower, and Marleybone side dungeons. I will say the way queue system the game put in in a heavenly godsend as it is SO much easier to get a party of four outside of shouting in the commons or posting in the forums.

The Helephant Tower is…an odd dungeon. So the basis is that someone broke into Belladona’s office and stole a jewel known as the Heart of the Helephant. Our mission obviously is to get into the tower and take it back. So it’s one of those tower slog dungeons. Here is where it gets….odd. Okay, who decided to put the hardest bosses in the first round? You fight against two barbarian parodies who have several cheats attached. One you can’t trap and they will steal your blades. Plus one casts a 90% tower shield on themselves each round. Even when you get rid of the gimmick partner, the shield guy will cast a hard hitting leviathan spell every two rounds. After that the rest of the dungeon is relatively easily.

Aquila is where things got a bit dicer. Technically at level 30 you get an invitation to participate in a series of yearly challenges set by the gods of the Grecian based world of Aquila. Once you talk to Cyrus, he will send you to Colossus Boulevard where a special chariot is awaiting your arrival. This is the only way to get to Aquila.

There is no World Door for this level. In the Garden of Hesperides, you get a brief introduction to each challenge of the Immortal Games before being sent on your way. There are three challenges depending on your level. The first one is at level 30 where you must go to Mount Olympus and go through a series of fights and puzzles before reaching Zeus who admits he was holding back out of good sport. You face the most amount of gods here as Athena is your guide and commenter in this round. You fight Apollo, Aries, and possibly Eris if you fail the puzzle as well.

Our second round is at level 60 where you must delve into the depths of Atlantis and under Hermes’ direction-take the two Sea Cow statues from Poseidon’s children. You also free a cursed Aquillian warrior and please the sirens. Poseidon also starts using cheats as he cannot be trapped. Since I was level 103 at this point, these could be done on my own.

The last one, Tartarus, requires a full party. Just about every boss has a cheat and can be very difficult to defeat solo especially at level 90. Cerberus is perhaps the hardest boss out of all of them as one head is surrounded by Tower Shields and the other will absorb your traps. Out of all the levels I will have to give it credit that Tartarus looks the most intricate of the three dungeons. With Mount Olympus, a lot of the structure feels like Wysteria with an added coat of Grecian paint.

But compared to the dead palate of Khryalis it is a welcome setting. Atlantis suffers the most here as most the backdrops we have seen from Celestia. This is also the dungeon with the least variant of monster designs as, again, many seem to have been pulled from Celestia’s assets. While Tartarus takes place underground, there is a nice sense of desolation and creepiness. Plus you can find some nice housing items to take. Hades will also drop modified Mastery Amulets down here and just my luck I get the Ice one. The ICE one. The one absolutely useless to me since I am in the ice school.

At level 90 three more challenges are open to you. Each area also has an additional side boss you can fight for an extra badge. Aquila has the smallest amount of badges with a total of 6 you can obtain: one for each dungeon and one for each mini boss. For these side bosses I suggest a full party as they can have some of the highest health and vicious cheats that can really ruin your day. And Earthquake. Bloody earthquake. Nothing ruins your blade stacks like Earthquake am I right?

Aside from that, this is more of a distraction since you don’t get a bunch of benefits from here at later levels. Or maybe because I was spoiled from Pirate101. Okay, enough distractions, let’s get into the cold winds of Mother Polaris! Take to the sky my friends!

So like oKAYAHYH I know P101 takes place after arc1 but in my universe its happening during so just stick with me for a moment, so wiz city- mooshu are him ages 11-14, him in P101 universe and Wysteria he’s 15, 16 in Grizzle and instead of going to dragonspyre he just swags out in Aquila
