My latest sewing project is pretty minor. I bought this housecoat at the thrift store and just shortened it and changed the buttons. But now I'm obsessed and want to throw aside all my projects that have actually time limits on them and just make accessories to go with my new wizard robe lol. Here's an outfit in progress, I think I need to work on the footwear situation and make a proper hood instead of just wearing scrap fabric as a scarf:

The many faces of Radagast (1)

I had started out this series a long time ago, and in a much more complex format... And it didn't work out. So I'll do it again, but this time going much more simple: I just want to do a little showcase of the various designs and visuals chosen for Radagast over the numerous LotR iterations.

Why? Well because I always liked one thing when comparing adaptations: see how the human mind and creativity can take into very different directions characters who have very little info or description about them, and yet enough recognizable and core traits to be memorable and distinct. In short: comparisons of characters in adaptations. I always loved that. Plus I always had a big interest in character design, and costume analysis, AND wizard fashion. So...

Anyway let's begin with what is currently the most famous visual of Radagast the Brown: his recent incarnation in "The Hobbits" movie trilogy, as played by Sylvester McCoy.
