Biografia:

PART ONE
Why was Jeon Jungkook at the Communications building?
He had a red and white leather jacket on top of a white shirt, jeans, and his black combat boots. His long hair was a mess, which you guessed was due to his helmet, and when he saw you walking down the steps of the building, he perked up, smiled, and waved at you.
At first, you weren’t even sure if it was you he was waving at, so you were a bit stunned, and looked over your shoulder. But then, you heard your name called by him. You and Jungkook were not friends. Sure, you exchanged friendly nods at each other whenever your paths would cross, but that was the end of it. In fact, the only reason why you even exchanged those friendly nods was because of Taehyung—your cousin who also happened to be his best friend since preschool. If it wasn’t for him, you and Jungkook would just pass by each other without so much as a glance.
And so, it was only natural that you were confused and surprised when you saw him leaning against his motorcycle in front of your college’s building, apparently waiting for you.
“Y/N, hey,” Jungkook greeted with a smile on his handsome face once he was near you.
Still confused, you returned the smile, adjusting the strap of your backpack hanging over your shoulder. “Hi, Jungkook. Is everything okay?”
He nodded. “Yeah, everything is—everything’s fine,” he said. Then, he cleared his throat. “Do you have time like right now? My treat.” He asked, his doe eyes piercing into yours.
You could not believe what you just heard. “What?” Was all you could reply.
Jungkook chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck with his gloved hand. “I know. It’s a shock, right? Believe me, I am too, but I just really need to talk to you about something. I wouldn’t bother you if it wasn’t so important.”
“Is it about Taehyung? Is he okay? Did he get into trouble?” You asked, alert. It was the only logical answer why Jungkook waited for you and why he wanted to talk to you. Taehyung was the only person connecting the both of you.
Jungkook shook his head. “No, no, it’s not about Taehyung, but he’s fine. He’s in his class right now. Look,” he sighed deeply, licking his lower lip with the tip of his tongue before staring at you once more. “Yiseul, I just really need to talk to you. In private.”
You debated whether to go with him or not. This was Jeon Jungkook. Despite his tattoos, broad shoulders, piercings, and big bike—he was harmless. He was your cousin’s best friend, and even though you two weren’t friends, he looked like he needed one at the moment. Besides, you wouldn’t deny that a part of you wasn’t curious as to why he needed to talk to you. That and the fact that because you had been in love with him since you met him when you were thirteen, how could you say no to something that you had only imagined in your wildest dreams?
“Okay. Okay, let’s go,” you agreed, heart beating rapidly. “Where are we going?”
Jungkook’s smile widened when you agreed. “There’s a basement cafe twenty minutes from here. It’s called Seven.”
The both of you began making your way towards his motorcycle. “Just how private is this conversation going to be?” you asked supposedly only for yourself, but accidentally, you said it out loud.
“I guess you already have an idea on how private it needs to be considering the location,” he chuckled. “But don’t worry—I promise you’ll get home in one piece.”
Jungkook handed you his extra helmet, and you were thankful that you didn’t wear a dress that day. After placing your backpack in front of your chest, you wore the helmet. “Can you give me a hint on what it’s about?”
You couldn’t help it. You were curious.
“I remember you always being curious, Y/N. Glad you haven’t changed at all,” Jungkook said, mounting his motorcycle. “In twenty minutes, you’ll know. If you ride now, you’ll know in fifteen minutes.”
You thought he looked so attractive as he smiled and waited for you on his motorcycle. His smile was so infectious that you couldn’t help but to return it. “Alright, fine,” you say. Then, you mounted his motorcycle, placing your hands on his firm shoulders.
“Ready?” Jungkook asked, placing his key into the ignition, briefly glancing at you.
“Yeah, ready,” you replied. He started the engine and you held onto your backpack for dear life. You had seen Jungkook drive his motorcycle before and the only way you could describe it was fast.
“Alright. Let’s go.”
Jungkook drove off.
Tumblr media
As promised, fifteen minutes later, you arrived at Seven. It was indeed a basement cafe, secluded from the busy city streets and tucked in between fruit stands and ready-to-wear clothes inside an alley. You were the first to get off his motorcycle, taking your helmet off. Shaking your head, you took in your surroundings while Jungkook took his motorcycle garments off.
The alley was alive with mostly elderly people buying fruits and high schoolers buying the RTWs. The tangerines stood out due to their bright color against the setting sun. You wondered when and how Jungkook came to know the place, if he frequented it, why he chose this place over all other cafes.
“Y/N? Let’s go inside?” Jungkook asked, gesturing to you to enter the cafe first.
You nodded, entering Seven. As a basement cafe, the first thing you noticed were the windows placed near the ceiling. A permanent sepia hue covered the entire establishment due to its yellow orange lights. The walls were painted gray, tables and chairs white. There were only a few tables and chairs, and Jungkook led the way to the one at the very back.
He pulled the chair out of you which you thanked him for, and you sat down. Jungkook followed afterwards, placing the helmets on the table between the both of you.
“What do you want?” He asked, pulling his chair closer to the table.
“Honestly, I’m more curious on why you want to talk to me than have any drinks here,” you told him, placing your backpack on the floor beside your chair.
Jungkook chuckled, leaning his back against his chair. “Alright. Should I just say it?”
You nodded.
“I was hoping that you’ll pretend to be my girlfriend to make Haemin jealous,” Jungkook said so casually that you were completely and utterly stunned. Did you just hear him correctly? Upon seeing your reaction, he continued, “She broke up with me a month ago, and to be honest, I saw it coming already. We were getting into a lot of meaningless fights, always finding faults in one another, and just overall, being toxic to each other. So, when she broke up with me, I did not put up a fight, and just let her be,” Jungkook scoffed, shaking his head lightly. “Then, I learned that she was seeing Han Riyeo, that fucking bastard from Yongsan, behind my back for three months, and I want to get back at her.”
His explanation did not help you grasp what he just said previously. You were still stunned, but you managed to ask, “Why me?”
“For reasons I still don’t know, Haemin was always jealous of you,” he confessed.
Now, that was a surprise. “What? You and I barely had any interaction.”
“I know, but I suspect it’s because you’re there whenever I hang out with Taehyung,” Jungkook shrugged his shoulders, then ran his fingers through his hair. “So? Will you help me, Y/N?”
“This is pretty childish, don’t you think?” you told him, eyebrows furrowed.
Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest. “I’ll pay you. I know you need the money. Taehyung mentioned you’re saving for the deposit on this apartment you want to rent.”
You stared at him, trying to find any trace of mischief in his eyes and body language but found none. Jungkook was serious. A part of you knew that the logical answer would be to decline his offer. It was childish, as you had told him. It was a nuisance and it would do nothing but bring problems and complications in your life. Your life was complicated enough, and you didn’t need to add Jeon Jungkook’s fake girlfriend to your list of complications.
But this was Jeon Jungkook. The person you had been in love with since you were thirteen. The person you supported, cheered on, and loved unconditionally from afar because it was all that you could do. You would be lying if you said that you did not imagine yourself being his girlfriend—going to every game, wearing his jersey, riding his motorcycle, going on dates, taking lots of photos and videos of him, hugging, and even kissing him—because you did, countless times. You would also be lying if you didn’t think that you could love him better than Haemin ever did.
They said love makes you do crazy things. You didn’t think that applied to you. You loved Jeon Jungkook, and you didn’t think that that love would fade anytime soon. So, even though you knew that this was pretend and paid, you said, “Okay. I’ll do it.”
After your orders arrived, the both of you continued your conversation.
Tumblr media
“So, how will this work?” you asked, sipping your iced chocolate drink.
Jungkook put up a finger, chewing the cheeseburger he ordered, and afterwards, he replied, “We act like a couple. Go on dates, post them on social media, and all that.”
You were never someone who did things half-assed. If you were going to get paid to fake date someone, you might as well go all out. Also, perhaps, a part of you just wanted to make the most out of being Jeon Jungkook’s fake girlfriend.
“I don’t think that would be enough to make Haemin jealous. If you really want that, we should do the things you either only did with her or promised to do with her,” you pointed out.
Jungkook nodded. “I see. You got a point.”
“So, what are those things? The things you did for her and the things you promised to do with her?”
He inhaled deeply, scratching the side of his nose as he thought. “Well, I pick her up everyday. Take her out on picnic dates, study with her, and I go to her recitals.”
You nodded. “Okay. Then, you should pick me up everyday, take me out on picnic dates, study with me, and well, I don’t really do any recitals.”
“Alright. I’ll do that,” Jungkook grinned. “As for the things I promised to do with her—the first thing that popped in my mind was that I promised I’ll take her to my brother’s wedding.”
“We shouldn’t involve our families in this. Me being Taehyung’s cousin is complicated enough,” you remarked.
“Okay. How about this? We made plans to go out of town during winter break. Do you wanna do that?”
“Where?”
“My sister-in-law runs a small resort in Busan. It’s by the beach,”
You pressed your lips together, nodding. “Okay. That could work.”
“For my part, you have to go to my games. That’s pretty much all you have to do, and of course, the dates.”
“That’s already a given,” you told him. “I’m assigned to cover your games this season.”
“Right. You are the News editor of the Times. I’m honored,” Jungkook placed a hand on his chest, bowing his head at you.
You chuckled, shaking your head. “I have a question.”
“Go for it.”
“What will happen when Haemin gets jealous? Will we “break up” and the two of you will get back together?” you asked, cautiously, but also curiously.
“I have no plans of getting back together with her,” Jungkook answered. “But when she finally gets jealous and tells me about it, then revenge is served. I guess then we’ll break up. But don’t worry, I’ll pay you handsomely every time so you could move into that apartment of yours. It’s the least I could do after you agreed to do this with me.”
It shouldn’t have stung the way it did. After all, this was only paid and pretend, but it did.
“Alright,” you said. “We should shake hands on it.”
You extended your hand toward him and Jungkook sealed the deal with his firm handshake. “Starting today, you’re my girl, Y/N.”
Tumblr media
You would be the first to admit that looking after Kim Taehyung was something you did out of debt of gratitude toward his parents. After your father passed away when you were only eleven years old, your mother couldn’t afford to send you to school, so his parents financed your education since then and until now that you were in college. You lived with Taehyung at the condominium they bought for him near the university and since you were on scholarship through your membership at the official student publication of Jamsil University, The Jamsil Times, they only paid for your miscellaneous fees every semester.
Because of these, you felt like Taehyung was your responsibility. You had to take care of him, look after him, tutor him, make sure he did all his school work, attend his classes, and be there every time he asked you to. It felt like when it came to him and his parents, you couldn’t say no because if you did, you could easily lose your housing and education.
It didn’t help that Taehyung seemed to attract trouble wherever he was. He even gained a nickname for it in high school which followed him in college, “Trouble Taehyung.” You couldn’t remember the times you apologized on his behalf, woke up in the middle of the night from a call from one of his so-called friends asking if you could pick him up as he was drunk and bruised, and ensured none of his troubles reached his parents.
Tonight was no different.
You woke up from the sound of your phone vibrating against your desk. You didn’t realize that you had fallen asleep, studying for your upcoming midterms exam, and when you woke up, you could feel the soreness of your neck and lower back. With one eye open, your vision adjusted to the bright light coming from your phone, and saw Park Jimin’s name flashing on your screen. Immediately, you knew why he was calling you. There could only be one reason: Kim Taehyung.
“Hello?” your voice was hoarse, groggy from your slumber.
“Y/N? I’m sorry I woke you up, didn’t I? It’s—,”
“Taehyung, I know. What happened this time?” you sighed deeply, rubbing your face with your free hand. “Where are you guys?”
“He got into an argument with this guy, and well, it led to a fight. He’s bruised, bleeding, but he refuses to go to a hospital, but—,”
“Hey! Is that Y/N? I told you not to call her, Park Jimin!” you could hear Taehyung’s voice in the background which made you sigh once more. Moments later, it was Taehyung who was on the call with you. “Y/N, sorry. Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. Jimin’s just a worry wart.”
“Taehyung,” you were tired and it was evident in your tone. “Go to the hospital if you’re bleeding. It might get infected.”
“I can’t,” he replied. “Mom is going to find out. It’s a small world, you know that,” his tone was low, cautious, as though he did not want anyone else hearing him. “I’m fine. I’ll put on some ointment and band-aid and I’m good.”
You wished you didn’t give a shit about him. But you did. Whether it was out of debt of gratitude or not, you wouldn’t be able to sleep if you didn’t help him. Perhaps, you had gotten so used to it that it had become a part of you already, like a hobby, like a memory.
“Where are you, Taehyung?”
“Y/N, seriously, I’m—,”
“Taehyung, just tell me where you are,” your patience was wearing thin and Taehyung knew that.
“We’re at Jungkook’s apartment,” he muttered.
Even the mention of his name was enough for the butterflies in your stomach to go crazy. Even by just hearing his name, your irritation seemed to slowly fade away.
“Okay. I’ll be there in a while. I’m gonna use your car, okay?”
“Okay. Y/N, I’m sorry,” Taehyung apologized and you could hear his sincerity.
“Don’t be,” you told him as you stood up from your chair. “See you. I’ll hang up now.”
Just how deep does blood run?
Tumblr media
You were at Jungkook’s apartment minutes later, thanks to no traffic and him only living fifteen minutes from Taehyung’s condominium. When you rang the bell to his unit, you already expected that he would be the one to answer the door. You just didn’t expect that he would be wearing gray sweatpants and a white loose muscle tee showing off his toned tattooed arm. Seeing him in that light, you couldn’t help but feel more attracted to him. Jungkook was truly a sight to see.
“Hey,” he greeted you with a smile. “Come inside.”
“Thanks,” you told him, entering his apartment. It was simple, neat, and smelled of vanilla. You took off your shoes by the doorway, placing a hand on the wall beside you. “Where’s Taehyung?”
“Kitchen,” he replied behind you. “Y/N,” his hot breath fanned over your exposed neck, making you shiver. “I’ll linger around you, alright? That way, they could get a hint that something’s going on with us. Is that okay?” he whispered.
His low tone was simply mesmerizing. “Okay,” you breathed out. Thank god you had your hand on that wall otherwise you would have literally fallen.
“Okay,” he chuckled, and led the way to the kitchen.
“Y/N!” Taehyung exclaimed when he saw you. He was sitting on one of the stools in the kitchen island while Jimin looked through the refrigerator.
You gave him a tight-lipped smile and made your way toward him, placing the plastic bag you hand in your hand on the counter beside you. Taehyung jumped off the stool he was sitting on, instantly giving you a squeezing hug. He was always an affectionate boy growing up. You weren’t so you found it uncomfortable at first. But the more Taehyung did it, you got used to it.
“Let me see your bruise,” you guided him back to the stool, and began taking out the first aid you bought along the way. The bruise wasn’t as serious as you thought it would be. You were expecting that he would have a black eye, a deep cut that would need stitches, but it was manageable by you. Jimin was overreacting, you concluded. “What happened? How did you get this?”
As you began to clean the cut on Taehyung’s cheek, Jimin sat down across from your cousin while Jungkook made his way near you.
“One minute I was dancing next to some girl, the next, her boyfriend landed a punch on my face. I didn’t know she had a boyfriend—she told me she was single,” Taehyung explained.
“Didn’t know my ass,” Jimin scoffed. “Everyone knows Heejin is with Taemin. Everyone also knows that Taemin’s a crazy jealous bastard. You were just looking for trouble, as always.”
“I was not,” your cousin retorted, throwing the medical tape you bought at his friend.
You clicked your tongue in annoyance. “Stop it, you two,” you hissed, pressing the cotton ball a bit harder against Taehyung’s bruise. He winced. “Is that true?” you asked him.
Taehyung didn’t answer. You sighed.
“You knew it was wrong, and yet, you did it anyway knowing it’ll just get you in trouble,” you muttered. “Why did you do it?”
Taehyung sighed deeply. “Because Taemin’s a piece of shit.”
“You’re also a piece of shit,” Jimin snorted. “Both of you are the biggest pieces of shit at Jamsil.”
“Do you wanna get punched?”
“Let’s go right now,”
“Hey, stop it. You’re so fucking loud,” Jungkook reprimands the two bickering men. “You already woke me up from my sleep by going here. Don’t wake up the entire fucking building.”
Moments later, you finished tending to Taehyung’s cut. “All done. Come on, let’s go home.”
Taehyun didn’t protest. You began to clean up your mess, placing everything back into the plastic bag. Silence filled Jungkook’s kitchen. The three of you weren’t close so there were no conversations where all of you could participate.
“Let’s go,” you bowed your head at Jimin as a farewell which he returned. Then, your eye caught Jungkook’s gaze. You weren’t sure what to do. Fortunately, Jungkook was quick-witted.
“I’ll walk you guys out,” he said coolly, pushing himself off of the sink he was leaning against.
“No need. Just go back to sleep. Thanks for letting us in,” Taehyung shook his head, patting his best friend’s shoulder as he passed by him.
“I insist,” Jungkook responded.
“Can I stay here tonight?” Jimin asked Jungkook as he made his way out of the kitchen.
“Yeah sure,”
You followed Jungkook and Taehyung out of the former’s apartment. As you and your cousin slipped on your shoes, Jungkook waited outside his apartment.
“Are you mad at me?” Taehyung asked, meeting your gaze. “I’m sorry, Y/N.”
“I’m not mad at you,” you assured him. “But you have to stop involving and getting yourself into trouble, Tae. Sooner or later, you’ll end up getting really hurt.”
“I will, I promise,” he smiled at you and you nodded, exiting the apartment.
The three of you walked down the hallway; the two boys walking on your sides. You weren’t sure if Jungkook was consciously doing it, but it was making your heart pound. Whenever your fingers brushed against his, there was an electric shock that flew through your body. And as you reached the end of the hallway and in front of the elevator, and when the doors opened, Jungkook placed his hand at your lower back, gesturing you to enter the lift first.
You looked at him, and there was a knowing smile plastered on his face that made you blush. “After you,” he said.
You were fucking lovestruck.
Tumblr media
Championships cast a spell in your school. Jamsil University’s premier sport was basketball and with an all-star lineup this year—it was not even up for discussion that your university would be one of the teams playing out to become this year’s champions.
To say the least, sports were not your thing. While you understood the basics, it wasn’t something you were interested in. Your father had enrolled you in a tennis class once but after witnessing how, simply out, awful you are at the sports, he dropped the ‘I want my daughter to be athletic’ narrative he was going for. That being said, you rarely attended any of the games Jamsil athletes participated in. But seeing as you were assigned to cover the basketball games this season, you had no other choice. Besides, your “boyfriend” was playing.
That’s how you found yourself at the gym of Jamsil, stressed as you took pictures and typed down the game on your phone. Frustrated, you sat on the bench behind you as the bell rang, signaling the end of the first half. As you read the draft on your notepad, you shook your head at the numerous times you used the word ‘tackle’—in your defense, it was all that you could see during the game. It was a particularly brutal game which made you wonder, was the game something more personal for the players? You only heard rumors, after all.
With a sigh, you made a mental note to fix the notes once you’re home. Standing up, you placed the phone inside your jeans’ back pocket and readied the Times’ camera to capture the ‘Half-time huddle’ that Bang Chan, the Sports Editor, had specifically asked you to take. As you made your way towards the basketball team, you took some shots of the audience as well as the Jamsil’s Cheerleading Team performing in the middle of the court. The blaring music and loud cheers from both schools as the cheerleaders performed filled the entire gymnasium, unconsciously making you smile. It was not everyday that you saw some sort of unity at your uni.
You focused your camera on the huddled team of Jamsil but dissatisfied, you tried another angle. Bang Chan’s words play in your mind: “The half-time huddle is one of the most important shots during these games, Y/N. The play they’re setting up will either make them or break them. Make sure you capture it.”
Then, the idea hit you. You hurriedly made your way on the other side of the team, hearing Coach Song’s booming voice telling his players the game even with all the screaming and cheers. You moved the towels and water bottles on the bench aside, then you stepped on it and placed the camera above the huddled team. Smiling, you knew you found the perfect angle. Making sure that the camera was focused, you inhaled deeply and as you were about to click the shutter button—a face turned to face the lens and a gasp escaped your lips, shocked and you felt yourself losing balance. Bracing for impact, you clutched the camera tightly against your chest and closed your eyes with one thing in mind: If this breaks, I am so screwed.
It felt like eternity as you waited for the impact. Opening your eyes, you see a pair of round brown eyes, staring at you in concern, eyebrows furrowed. Your breath hitched in your throat as realization hit you. Around your waist, you felt strong arms supporting you; hot breath fanned your face and you felt something liquid dripping on your forehead.
“Y/N, are you okay?” When he spoke, you immediately snapped back to reality and you wriggled yourself out of his grip—flustered and ground-swallow-me-up embarrassed. Your cheeks were burning as you collected yourself. “Y/N?”
It was as if the entire gymnasium had their focus on you and Jungkook.
“Jeon, what the fuck, get back here,” Coach Song hissed.
Fuck me, you thought as you cleared your throat. “Thanks,” you whispered to him.
Jungkook smiled—the boyishly charming smile that made you fall in love with him all those years ago. Then, he did something that made you fall in love with him all over again.
“Wish me luck, babe,” Jungkook said before wrapping his tattooed arm around your waist and placing a kiss on your cheek. “The game’s on, Y/N. No turning back now.”
You wished this was real. His kiss was real. But even if it wasn’t, indeed, there was no turning back now. The game had begun.
Tumblr media
PART TWO
As predicted and expected, Jamsil won the championship. But instead of the student body celebrating the fourth championship in a row, apparently, the majority could only talk about you and Jungkook—specifically the kiss he gave you on the cheek. You had expected this, of course. After all, Jeon Jungkook was Jamsil University’s golden boy. He was popular, smart, and overall, an exemplary student who not only excelled in his sports, but in his academics as well. Moreover, he was also the president of the photography club.
What you didn’t expect was Taehyung lashing out at you. You expected him to be confused, baffled, in disbelief, but lashing out at you? You were confused, to say the least. Taehyung had never done it before.
After finishing covering the basketball game, you hurriedly made your way back to the Publication Office. Once there, you took off the camera around your neck, breathing heavily. With both your hands on your table, you hung your head low, squeezing your eyes shut, and letting yourself calm down. It was during this moment that the door at the office swung open and your cousin stepped in.
You looked at him over your shoulder and for the first time, you saw fury in his eyes.
“You’re dating Jungkook?” He asked. “Tell me the truth.”
With your lips pressed tightly, you nodded. Taehyung scoffed, tilting his head to the side, and shaking it in disbelief.
“Are you fucking kidding me, Y/N? You and Jungkook?” He pressed, taking a step towards you. “When did it start? How did it start? Why are you dating him?”
“I don’t really need to explain myself to you, Taehyung,” you told him. “Especially who I’m dating.”
“Yes, you do. You need to explain that to me,” he retorted.
“Why? Why do I need to explain it to you?”
“Because you’re dating my fucking best friend and you’re my cousin!” He exclaimed, catching you off guard as you flinched. When he saw this, Taehyung’s eyes softened. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to raise my voice at you. I just—I don’t get it.”
“What don’t you get?” you asked, turning to completely face him. “Why someone like me is with someone like him?”
“Y/N, that’s not what I mean,” Taehyung sighed deeply. “I just feel like—like the two most important people in my life betrayed me.”
You exhaled deeply. In a way, you could understand him. You could understand where he was coming from. But before you could respond, Jungkook appeared by the doorway of the office.
“Don’t get mad at her, Tae, it’s my fault for not telling you first,” Jungkook said. He was still in his jersey, covered in sweat, and one hand holding a bottle of red Gatorade. There was a towel hanging around his neck. He walked towards you, and when he stood beside you, he held your hand. “I’m sorry if you feel like we betrayed you. We just wanted to find the right time to tell you.”
“Right time,” Taehyung scoffed once more. “It didn’t look like it when you kissed her.”
Jungkook squeezed your hand. It sent a jolt throughout your body. “What was I supposed to do? My girlfriend was there,” Jungkook’s response only riled Taehyung more. Upon seeing this, the basketball player said, “Alright, alright, I’m sorry. But there’s nothing you could do or say that could make us break up, Tae. I’m sorry but you’re just gonna have to deal with it.”
“Can you fucking leave? I need to talk to Y/N privately,” Taehyung hissed, rolling his eyes.
This time, you cut Jungkook before he could reply. “It’s okay, Jungkook. I’ll see you after.” You looked at your fake boyfriend, smiling at him.
Jungkook looked like he didn’t want to leave so you squeezed his hand. He clicked his tongue, sighing. “I’ll change and meet you outside the building.” It wasn’t a question but a statement.
You nodded and once again, he pressed his lips against your cheek, making you blush but now, out of embarrassment because your cousin was literally in front of you. Taehyung groaned, throwing his head back. “Leave, Jeon Jungkook!” He exclaimed, pulling him off of you.
Jungkook chuckled before making his way out of the office.
Once he was out of earshot, Taehyung stepped closer towards you. “Y/N, you’re right—who you date is not something I should mind or dictate. But you’re my cousin and I care about you and I don’t want you to get hurt. Jungkook—he’s my best friend in the world and has been since we were little. I know him. So, the two of you together—I just can’t accept it.”
You didn’t know why you were feeling angry as the seconds passed. “We’re not asking for your blessing, Taehyung.”
“Y/N, you don’t understand. Jungkook may be charming and all that goody two shoes shit in front of everyone, but he’s trouble. You’re only setting yourself up for a lifetime of heartbreak,” your cousin shook his head. “Please. Date whoever you want; not just Jungkook.”
“I made up my mind, Tae,” you said, shaking your head. “I want to be with him and you can’t do anything about it. I’m gonna go home. I’m tired and exhausted. I know you’ll be going to the afterparty so please don’t get yourself into trouble. Take care, Tae.”
“Y/N,” he called out but you didn’t respond anymore. You just packed up your things. “Y/N, please.”
“See you at home, Tae,” you gave him a small smile before leaving the office.
Why was he so adamant that you don’t date Jeon Jungkook? This question popped in your head as you were making your way out of the Communications building. But you erased it in your mind—Taehyung was just shocked, probably weirded out too that his best friend and cousin were dating.
Why is he trouble? Another question propped in your mind.
You sighed deeply. All these questions would be answered when you meet with Jungkook as you made a mental note to ask him. For now, you just wanted to rest.
Tumblr media
The buzzing sound of your phone vibrating against your desk woke you up from your slumber. With a groan, you sat up, stretching your arms wide, cracking your neck, and letting out a relieved sigh. You didn’t know when you fell asleep, but the last thing you remembered was fixing your planner. When you looked at the caller ID, Jungkook’s name flashed on the screen. For a moment, you were confused why he was calling you, and then it hit you.
I’ll change and meet you outside the building.
You quickly answered the call. “Jungkook, hey.”
“Y/N, are you okay? I waited for you outside the Comm building, but Taehyung said you went home. I’ve been trying to reach you,” Jungkook sounded concerned, in contrast to the sound of cheering and music in the background. He must have been at the afterparty already, you concluded.
“I’m okay,” you assured him. “I’m sorry. I was just tired so I went home. Are you at the afterparty?”
“Yeah,” he replied. “The guys dragged me to it, but it’s not really fun. Or maybe I’m just not in the mood. I’m glad you’re okay though. I was worried.”
Your heart fluttered yet again.
“I’m okay. Have fun at the afterparty,” you said, rubbing your eye with your knuckle.
“Y/N, I was hoping you could come tonight, here, at the afterparty, and start our agreement.”
Just like that, you were reminded of reality.
“Oh,” you replied, hoping you didn’t sound disappointed. “Um, I don’t know where that is.”
It was common knowledge that invitations for after parties at Jamsil for championships were only through word of mouth. Not everyone was invited. The only reason you knew of the location of the last three after parties were because of, again, your cousin Taehyung.
“It’s okay, I’ll come pick you up.”
“I don’t know what I should wear. I don’t go to a lot of parties,” you said, playing with the loose thread on the hem of the shirt you were wearing. It was a habit of yours whenever you were nervous—you needed to play with something whether it was your necklace, earrings, rings, sleeves, etcetera.
“It doesn’t matter. You look good in everything, Y/N. I’m serious,” Jungkook responded. “I’ll be there in fifteen minutes, okay? Don’t worry too much about what to wear. Just wear what’s comfortable.”
“Okay. Drive safely, Jungkook.”
When the phone call ended, you were reminded of what tonight would be, and gone were the worries about what you should wear. Tonight was going to be the night you were going to officially begin helping Jungkook take his revenge on Haemin. You felt like throwing up.
You were hit by the reality, once again, of what this agreement was about. Jungkook wasn’t being sweet to you because he wanted to but because he needed to. He wasn’t inviting you to the afterparty because he wanted to but because he needed to. He was only talking to you because he was paying you. It was time for you to take things at face value. With that in mind, you began to change.
True to his word, Jungkook arrived fifteen minutes later. It was a whiplash when you saw him at the door, waiting for you instead of your cousin. Wearing a white Calvin Klein shirt tucked under his washed jeans, black combat boots, and his curly hair parted in the middle, he was nothing short of beauty even in the simplicity of his attire. In one hand, he was clutching a denim jacket.
“Hey,” he greeted as soon as you opened the door. “You look great, Y/N.”
You suppressed the urge to smile and just nodded. Stepping outside of Taehyung’s condominium unit, you avoided his gaze. “Let’s go.”
“Is everything okay?” he asked.
You nodded, clutching the strap of your messenger bag. “Everything’s fine. Let’s just go. Where’s the afterparty anyway?”
“Y/N,” Jungkook’s hand found its way gently around your wrist, stopping you on your tracks. “Seriously, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong, Jungkook. I just really wanna get over this,” you said with a sigh.
“I don’t believe you,” he pointed out, still holding onto your wrist. “We don’t have to go to the afterparty if you don’t want to.”
“No, let’s go. Otherwise, how will you make Haemin jealous?” you stated, plastering a smile on your face even though you were anything but happy. “The sooner she gets jealous, the sooner she will want to be with you again, and the sooner I’ll get my deposit, and move out from here. The sooner everyone wins.”
There was an indescribable expression on Jungkook’s face. Although his grip on your wrist remained gentle, you could feel the tension brewing between the both of you.
“You’re right,” he muttered after a while. “Let’s get this over with.”
Tumblr media
As expected, the afterparty was at a club. You hadn’t been to one but it was exactly as you expected a club to be. Packed with dancing college students, drinks everywhere, smoke in the air, suffocating you the moment you entered the establishment, blinding red, blue, green lights, and booming EDM and Top 40 hits songs blasting on the speakers. Jungkook led the way, holding your hand tightly, and you held his just as tight. You didn’t know where he was taking you, but you guessed that it was where Haemin would be. After all, she was the reason why you were here.
So, it was a surprise when you passed by her and her friends, and toward the staircase.
“Jungkook! Where are we going?!” you yelled over the loud music. .
Jungkook didn’t respond, but you knew that he heard you because he pulled you closer to him. And you let him lead you because it was him. You’d let him lead you anywhere if it meant being this close to him. Because no matter what you tell yourself—that this was all fake and pretend and paid—a part of you would always, always believe that he, in some way, reciprocated your feelings sincerely.
Jungkook passed by the people greeting him along the way until, finally, you reached the empty rooftop. Overlooking the city and its skylines, it was simply breathtaking. There were only broken benches, bottles of beers and discarded cigarette buds on the rooftop along with cracked pots of withered flowers. Here, Jungkook let go of your hand, reached for something from his denim jacket’s pocket—a pack of cigarette and lighter—and offered it to you.
“I don’t smoke,” you simply stated. It was news to you that he smoked. You knew athletes were forbidden due to health reasons, but you weren’t also naive that you didn’t think some did.
He nodded, picked one from the box, placed it in between his lips, lit it up, and began to smoke. You took a deep breath, and made your way toward the edge of the rooftop. Moments later, Jungkook was beside you.
“Tell me something I don’t know about you,” he said, the smell of cigarette strong, making you nauseous. But you didn’t tell him that.
You thought hard. Jungkook knew nothing about you besides being Taehyung’s cousin. It shouldn’t be that hard but it was, for some reason. And so, you said, “There’s really not much that you should know.”
To which he replied, “Oh, come on, there must be something,” He nudged your side slightly, letting out a chuckle as he took a long drag. “Don’t think too hard. Just tell me the first thing that comes to your mind.”
And so, you did. Before you knew it, you said, “I haven’t had my first kiss yet.”
“Seriously?” Jungkook asked, but it wasn’t in the disgusted, you’re-in-your-twenties-and-yet-you-haven’t-kissed-somebody kind of way. It was more of a genuine shock. Like it was the hardest thing in the world to believe in.
You chuckled, nodding. “I don’t know. I just feel weird about it.”
“But were there any instances where you came close to kissing somebody?” he pressed, flicking his cigarette.
“Of course, but when it came to it, I just couldn’t. It just didn’t feel…” you trailed off, unsure of what the right word was.
“Right?” Jungkook suggested and you nodded. “I see.”
“How about you?” you asked. “Tell me something I don’t know about you.”
“I want to be somebody’s first kiss, and that somebody happens to be you.”
He was the only one who could do it—cause your heart to do somersaults inside you while also making it beat so fast that you were afraid he would hear it. It was the way he stared at you at that moment, eyes flickering from your eyes which reflected the cityscape below you and the smoke from his cigarette to your parted lips, unsure of what to say from his revelation.
“Do you think it’d feel right if I kiss you, Y/N?”
And like always, your mind and heart screamed: this was Jungkook. Who else would you want to be your first kiss? Since you were thirteen, you had been in love with him. You only imagined this in your head, in your wildest dreams.
And so, you nodded, afraid that if you spoke, no words would leave.
Jungkook nodded too, and he crushed his cigarette on top of the edge of the rooftop. He stepped towards you, cupped your face, and for a moment, the world stood still. Closing your eyes, you waited for his lips to crash onto yours.
And when it finally did, it was nothing that you had ever imagined.
No sparks.
No fireworks.
It was simple, mundane, ordinary—it was a kiss.
You held onto Jungkook’s wrists as he deepened the kiss, and yet, there were still none of the romantic aspects that you thought would happen during your first kiss. Even when Jungkook moved his hands from your face and around your waist, nothing. It tasted so bitter due to the mix of nicotine and beer that he had.
But you didn’t mind. You were kissing Jeon Jungkook, your fake boyfriend, at a party, where all his peers were. And for that, your first kiss was still memorable.
Oh, how Jeon Jungkook twisted your world.
Tumblr media
PART THREE
You had no recollection whatsoever of what happened last night; much less how you got back to your shared condominium unit with Taehyung. But if you were to guess, your cousin probably brought you home as you vaguely remembered him being at the afterparty—much to his chagrin that you came with his best friend. Other moments were like missing puzzle pieces. You only remembered flashes, and you groaned when you felt the throbbing in your temple became stronger.
Usually, you could hold your liquor better than this. In fact, this was the first time, in a long while, that you could remember having a hangover. Your mother was your drinking buddy—started drinking with you when you were a junior in high school, and although she shouldn’t have done that, you didn’t mind. Your mother was a great mother. Your mother was your best friend. Your mother was a great parent. Yes, she had her shortcomings, but who didn’t? Certainly not you. You remembered the first time she asked you to try Soju, and subconsciously, it brought a smile to your face, and a low chuckle to escape your lips. You made a mental note to text her later.
As you left your bed, there was a knock on your bedroom door. Knowing it was your cousin, you told him to come in while you fixed your bed, and looked for your phone in the process.
“Your phone’s in your bag,” Taehyung muttered as he stepped inside your room, and leaned against the wall of the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest. “I brought you home too. Jungkook wanted to, but he rode a motorcycle, and you were wasted. It wasn’t safe.”
You nodded in understanding. You figured out that much. Like what Taehyung said, your phone was indeed inside your bag. Quickly, you unlocked it, and checked your notifications. Some were just annoying spam emails, app notifications, and automated messages from your SIM provider, but there was one message that made your heart beat quickly due to panic that you didn’t even notice Jungkook’s message.
“Y/N, I need to talk to you,” Taehyung said.
“We will talk, but not right now, I’m late for my tutoring session, Tae,” you hurriedly told him as you texted your tutee that you would be late, but that you would come since it was his midterms next week.
“Y/N, I’m serious. I still don’t approve of you and Jungkook dating.”
You should have expected this. In the years you spent with Taehyung, you should have known that he wasn’t the type of person who could accept “no” as an answer, and not getting what he wanted when and if he wanted it. You thought it only applied to everything else in his life; apparently, it also applied to your dating life.
“Taehyung, haven’t we gotten over this? Who I date is not yours to dictate,” you shook your head, sighing deeply as you gathered everything you needed for your quick shower. You were definitely not going to attend your tutoring session dressed from last night, and smelling like beer and nicotine.
“Jungkook’s a piece of shit as a boyfriend, Y/N. He’s crazy possessive and he gets so fucking jealous. His charming persona is just that—a persona. I don’t want you to get hurt by him, Y/N, please.”
The desperation in his voice was evidently obvious. When you looked at him, you were unsure of what to say. How could he say that to his own best friend?
“If he’s like that—,”
“He is like that,”
“Then why are you still friends with him?” you asked, pointedly. When Taehyung couldn’t give you an answer, you nodded. “Right. I thought so. I’m going now, Tae. This conversation is over.”
Tumblr media
When you arrived at Jamsil’s library, you were forty five minutes late to your session with Yang Jungwon, a freshman from your program, Journalism with a major in Investigative Reporting. You found him in your usual spot, writing away on his yellow pad while nodding his head along the music he was listening to. Inhaling deeply, you made your way toward him. When you were finally near him, you tapped on his shoulder, causing him to jump a little, but when he saw you—his deep dimpled smile appeared on his face.
Yang Jungwon was like the little brother you never had but wished you had. You felt bad for thinking that way because you had Taehyung, but as stated, looking after him felt more like a responsibility you had no other choice but to take upon. With Jungwon, even though you were paid to help him with his studies, it never felt like a responsibility to you. You enjoyed spending time with him, helping him out, and sometimes, if the conversation steered into the direction, you enjoyed your deep and meaningful conversations with him.
You smiled back at him, and took the seat beside him, sitting on it. “I’m so sorry I’m late, Jungwon. You can tell your mom that she doesn’t need to pay me for this session.”
He shook his head. “No, noona. It’s okay. I didn’t mind the waiting. I got to use it to answer your mock tests.”
“Really? Let me see. What did you answer first?” you asked, taking your messenger bag off of your shoulder, placing it on the table.
“The Contemp—,” Jungwon began to say, but then he stopped, which caused you to tear your gaze away from the mock test in your hands, and to your tutee. You followed his gaze, and to your surprise, you saw Jungkook sitting across from you and Jungwon with a gentle smile on his face. He had his lip ring on—it was the first thing you noticed about him that day.
“Jungkook, what are you doing here?” you asked, swallowing the lump in your throat. Why did it feel like you were caught doing something you weren’t supposed to do? Why did you suddenly feel anxious?
Taehyung’s words rang in your ears: He’s crazy possessive. His charming persona is just that—a persona.
Was all of it true? Was that the reason why he was here? Because you were with another guy?
“I guess you didn’t read my message, babe,” he chuckled. “I told you not to buy lunch anymore because I cooked some for you. Here, you can share it with your friend…” he trailed off, politely smiling at Jungwon.
“H-Hello, I’m Yang Jungwon,” Jungwon stammered, starstruck that Jamsil’s golden boy was talking to him.
“Hello, Jungwon. It’s nice to meet you. You can just call me hyung,” Jungkook turned to you. “I’ll get going now, okay?” He pushed the lunch box towards you. “Eat. There’s hangover soup in there too.”
You gave him a look to which he grinned at. “Ah, don’t worry, Jungwon. She can tutor you even though she’s dr—,”
“Okay, thank you, Jeon Jungkook,” you interrupted him, making his grin wider. You shook your head at him, but you couldn’t hide the blush coating your cheeks from his sweet gesture. Then, you wondered, as Jungkook took his leave, did he do the same thing to Haemin?
“I didn’t know you and Jeon Jungkook hyung are dating,” Jungwon brought you out of your trance, gaze finally now upon him rather than the absent figure of Jungkook.
“Yeah, it just happened,” you said to him. “But come on, let’s focus on your mock tests.”
Yet despite saying that, you were the one who couldn’t focus because the only thing in your mind was: how did Jungkook know you were at the library?
Tumblr media
Taehyung’s words plagued your mind the entire day. Even while you were working, all you could think about was his words about his best friend. How could he say those things about Jungkook? Someone he’d been best friends with since they were little? Why was he so adamant about you not dating him? Taehyung usually kept a distance from your personal life, not even asking about your mother because he knew of the complicated relationship your family had with his family. So, why was he all over your case now that you were “dating” Jungkook? You couldn’t understand. You couldn’t wrap your head around it.
Although you confirmed with the library interaction that Jungkook wasn’t the possessive type, seeing as he just walked away after giving you the lunch box, and even let Jungwon call him hyung, there was still that nagging thought in your mind: what if Taehyung’s word held weight? What if they were true?
You thought about it: if they were true, even when you were only fake dating, would he still be as possessive as Taehyung said he was? What happened for your cousin to even tell you something like that?
Your thoughts were put on a halt when your manager called for your name. You worked as a part-time waitress at a restaurant called Rado. You used to be a full-time employee, but since you were in your last year of uni, you asked if you could still be employed on a part-time basis, and fortunately, your manager, Han Somin, agreed.
“Yes, Ms. Han?” you asked as you entered her small office inside the employees’ locker room.
“Y/N, hi, come inside, I just have something to tell you,” she said, taking her eyeglasses off, and kindly smiling at you. You nodded and did as told. “It’s nothing serious,” she continued, which alleviated the nerves sinking in your bones. “I just wanted to ask if you wanted to be part of this party we’re catering to on Saturday. It’s a listening party for an artist named J-Hope; he released a new album. Maybe you’ve heard of him.”
You shook your head. “No, Ms. Han. But I’d love to be part of the staff. Where would it be held?”
“It’ll be held at his label’s function room. I’ll send you the details, alright?” You nodded, then she dismissed you, and went back to work.
Money had always been a sensitive topic for you. Growing up, you knew that you didn’t have a lot but you were comfortable due to both of your parents’ wages. Your father was a simple office man while your mother had her own small flower shop. They were able to provide for your basic needs and wants but when your father passed away—your mother’s earnings at the flower shop weren’t sustainable. Hence, at an early age, you learned how to look for jobs, and learned the value of money and earning it. Hence, the reason why, besides loving Jungkook all your life, you simply could not half-ass fake dating him because it was innate in you that when you do a job, you give it your hundred percent.
Part of you wished you didn’t have to worry about your finances. That, like other students at Jamsil, you could have fun and enjoy college life without worrying if you would still have a roof over your head eve though you failed an exam or if you would still be able to eat the next day if you buy a food late at night because you were so hungry that you couldn’t sleep.
Having money meant having freedom to do all the things that you wanted to do—and you weren’t free. Not yet, anyway, but moving to your own place was a start. That’s why no matter what people say, you would see fake dating Jeon Jungkook through because whether you liked it or not—he was the key to your freedom.
Tumblr media
Saturday rolled around quickly. Adorned in your Rado’s uniform—a simple white linen long sleeve polo shirt, black slacks, black high heels, and your hair pulled back to show your face—you were already at the label’s function room preparing for the listening party of J-Hope. His music had been playing since you got there and you felt yourself being immersed and vibing to it that you made a mental note to check his other songs out afterwards.
You were in charge of the food and drinks. Ms. Han was also present to supervise and with you was your co-worker, Kang Seulgi, and Kim Hanbin. It was an intimate type of party; hence, the small group of staff and catering.
“I wonder who we’ll see here,” Seulgi told you as she placed the food fingers on the table while you poured drinks into the glasses.
“I heard it’s just indie artists that J-Hope invited. It’s the target audience for his album, you see,” Hanbin piped in, fixing his necktie.
“Whoever it is, I’m sure—,”
“Kim Y/N, it’s nice to see you here,”
You only heard that voice a couple of times but you wouldn’t mistake it for another. It was ingrained in your mind so deeply. It was the voice of the person you hoped was you for a long time—who got to touch, kiss, hug, care, and love Jeon Jungkook for four years. It was the voice of the person who was Jeon Jungkook’s first love, and most likely still loved. It was the voice of the person that was never going to be you in his life. It was the voice of:
“Lee Haemin.”
Tumblr media
PART FOUR (a sneak peek)
“Lee Haemin.”
In one word, she was beautiful. Dressed in a small black dress with thin straps and a pair of black heels, her silky black hair pulled back, showing off her idol-like face, Lee Haemin was just a sight to behold. Smiling at you, she took a step forward.
“Is it okay if we talk?” she asked.
As though you were hypnotized, you nodded wordlessly. A part of you already knew what the talk would be, or at least that’s what you thought. Nodding back, Haemin smiled at Seulgi and Hanbin before leading you out of the function room and somewhere more private. She opened a door leading to what seemed like the conference room, and gestured that you enter first so you did. She followed in suit, and you took a short time to look at your surroundings.
It was all white with an oval table in the middle and black swivel chairs surrounding it. Adjacent to you were the ceiling to floor windows, showcasing the city landscape. Connected at the top was a projector and on the left side was a projector screen. You wondered how Haemin got access to such room, and as though reading your mind, she said:
“My family owns a stock, if you’re wondering why I got access to this room. We can pretty much use any room in the company.”
Nodding your head, you turned to face her. “I see. That’s great. I didn’t know that.”
“Not many people do,” she answered. “But that isn’t really why I wanted to talk to you.”
“I know,” you replied. “You wanna talk about Jeon Jungkook.”
Haemin smiled. “I heard you’re dating him.”
“From who? Taehyung?” You knew they were friends. Not exactly close, but they were acquainted due to Jungkook.
She shook her head. “From Jungkook." Stunned, your mouth parted ways a little. Haemin smiled. "Surprising, I know, but it truly was him who told me that he was with you."
"Why would he say that to you?"
"Because he loved me first."
And it was the truth. The truth hurts but it was the truth nevertheless. You weren't the first person he ever loved, ever had a deep and humane connection with. Everything about your relationship was a lie, a cover up. Theirs was true and real. Jungkook loved Haemin; not you.
Forcing a smile upon your face, you answered, “He loves me now. I don’t see the point of having this conversation, to be honest.”
“No, he doesn’t love you, Y/N. He wants you. Those two things are different,” You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. Hence, Haemin continued, “Loving someone lights up your world. Wanting someone, now that’s a different thing. To want something is to own it.”
“And your point? Jungkook wants to own me?” Even your words sent shivers down your spine. You loved Jungkook since you could remember. But did you want him to own you?
“Yes,” she replied. “Jungkook’s the type of person who gets and gets and gets and never likes to not have what he wants, what he needs. I’m telling you all these because prior to him dating you,” she smiled when she said ‘dating’ as though she knew it was only fake. “He lost me. Now he’s trying to get you to get me back, to own me again. But I don’t want that anymore. I don’t love him anymore. Don’t trap yourself. Get out as early as you can.”
You didn’t know what to say. So, you did the only thing you could do: walk away. But then Haemin called your name, and you stopped on your tracks, looking at her over your shoulder. “Don’t let love blind you, Y/N. I know you’ve loved him for years, but he’s only going to break you—mind, body, soul.”
“Thank you for the advice, Haemin,” you told her. “But I didn’t need it. Please respect my relationship with Jungkook. Thank you and enjoy the night away.”

Tumblr media
"The double rainbow we saw that day...
...Ah..
You admired the rainbow, and I admired you...
The colorful pictures were taken that day,
I don't need to print them off...
They are engraved in my memory forever...
The strings, plucked by our fingers...
The strings we created...
The life we expected..."
...
It was the evening when he came back from a work trip...
Kyungsoo and YiSeul sat at the table.  YiSeul released her hair from the tight top knot and brushed by fingers so they would lie down nicely on her arms. Then a gentle smile appeared on her face:
- How was your trip? -
- I'm more tired than before the trip. To be honest, I could have been sleeping inside the JJ building. Everyday meetings, and organizational projects. I even worked with a live audio engineering team to make sure the stadium equipment was efficient -
The spark in his eyes shined though, those words didn't sound like a complaint.
- Oh, so Baboo has a new skill! - she joked
- I knew it all! I was the one who was teaching them - touched his full of pride chest while declaring that - and you? Except for the accident with your mom, what have you been doing? - She took a sip of wine and brushed he hair to the back:
- Nothing worth mentioning... Oh! We will probably have a job for Marie Claire! - that made her suddenly jump and point finger at a random place on the sealing, for no reason.
- Wow, that's great. I'm sure you will do a great job! - Kyungsoo comforted her. The atmosphere suddenly became lively.
They spend an hour chatting and sharing a great time.
When the time for cleaning came, they collected all the plates and she started washing dishes while he was cleaning the table. When finished, he stood behind her and hugged tightly. Then brushed her hair to the side and comfortably placed his face on their arm. Then gave her a peck on the ear...slowly going down her neck. She stopped washing, turned around, and with wet fingers she slid down his face gently. Down the forehead and nose, then stopped at the lips. She placed her hand on his back and pressed against her. Both lips touched creating a euphoria running down their bodies. Kyungsoo forgot about all the doubts, from a few minutes ago. It was too late to stop it...
The night was intimidating like a starry night on a clear sky...

...........................................................................................................................................
In the morning Kyungsoo woke up in his bed and groped blindly for YiSeul who was usually sleeping next to him. After still half asleep mind realised she was not there, he opened his eyes to confirm it. There was no one in the room except him. The atmosphere after last night's full swing was still in the air. The grey flat carpet looked like it was part of the gym flooring, if only any gym would use a house carpet. Kyungsoo slowly sat on the bed and moved to the edge. His slippers were nowhere to be found, so he just ignored his barefoot feet and headed to the door.
While walking down the stairs he was focused on listening to any sounds. "Has she gone home?" Thought impatiently and his feet moved faster with every step..."She's here..." he stopped and looked at his girlfriend leaning her back on the kitchen's countertop and scrolling something on her phone. A teethy smile appeared on his face.
- YiSeul, you're up already? -
- Oh, KyungSoo, you woke up? Good - she smiled back when raised her head - I'm going to start work earlier today. Will be sleeping at my mom's tonight. Give me a call later, ok? - and she moved to the door's direction and stopped halfway. Kyungsoo without a second thought jumped down the stairs and walked casually to her side. Hugged gently, staying a little longer in this position than it was needed:
- Eat well and don't forget to wear warm clothes, it's cold outside - he looked into her eyes - Give me a call when you're free OK? -
She gave him a peck on the lips and with a wide smile said: - See you...Baboo - she waved her hand, opened the door, and disappeared behind it in a second.
His mind for some reason went blank, but not because she walked away. He felt like he was carrying a heavy burden on his back for a long time and suddenly it disappeared. He stretched his back without discomfort. What was the reason for this burden? He couldn't understand himself, but it doesn't matter now. He is full of joy and feels like his body is about to float in the air any minute. Nothing will change his mood today. Time to go to work...
KyungSoo's contract states that his work pattern is from Monday to Friday, with office hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In reality, when it's busy he comes earlier to have everything prepared perfectly. Finish time also depends on his own work goals. When it's quiet he can finish earlier and work from home if needed. When it's busy, he is staying till he finishes his job. A job that is usually set up by himself. Even the receptionists are joking that they will apply for creating a living room in this building, especially for him. Because it's a busy period, Kyungsoo arrived at work at 7 a.m
JJ Entertainment was built in JungGu, Seuls Jung district which is in Seuls center and just the northern side of the famous Han River. This district is also famous for its history and reminding historical buildings, these days however mixed with also the modern ones.
The company's large grounds were placed 10 min from the main road, embracing one small street area. The main building's shape was oval from the bottom to approximately the 4th floor, then the shape changed to a regular rectangular office building created from glass walls, just in the center of its round bottom. From the street to the main entrance was a large space filled with nicely shaped bushes on the sides and a few branches placed one after another in rows. The parking lot was placed on the left side. JJE smaller buildings were placed behind the main one, with a substantial park in the middle. It was probably not created for employers to enjoy their break time, but for outsiders and other companies, as well as stockholders, to make an outstanding impression.
Kyungsoo parked his car after approximately 30 minutes of travel. He headed to the main entrance ignoring anyone who just passed by. There's no need to smile at strangers even if they knew who he was. KyungSoo's personality is honest, he can't lie and wear a smiling mask even in this business world full of puppets and those with power. If he meets someone he knows, then he will definitely greet this person. For example, ladies from reception...
- Good morning. Early start today? - one of them just grabbed his attention. They are always doing that, not only to KyungSoo. A smiling young lady with a nicely tied bun and wearing a two-piece skirt suit set in silver color waved to him from the reception desk. Two more ladies were wearing the same style and makeup which was nicely done eyebrows, long lashes, and red lips.
- Good morning, any news? - Kyungsoo stopped to have a chat.
- Nothing much today - then she opened her notebook and double-checked her words - Tempo is coming at 9 am, later new solo artist is looking for advice. The visit was authorized by Kim. The meeting was at 11:30, so we were crossing fingers for the solo artist...- then she raised her crossed fingers and gazed at Kyungsoo with a teethy smile which was giving him the android doll vibe programmed to cheer for buyers, so he ignored it waiting for the rest of today's plan...- around 15:30 Creams will arrive and discuss their new album details -
- Am I fully dealing with them again? - KyungSoo interrupted her because this unpleasant feeling of not knowing what his real tasks were was disturbing. What was the purpose of taking away Creams from him and then sending them from time to time for a consultation or whatever it is? He still hasn’t forgotten what Kim has done at the meeting...
- Apologies sir, I have no details in this matter...- she was upset, but not because of him. She was upset that as a receptionist she should be a better support.
- It's fine, I'll ask them by myself - he shook his hand to calm her down - Thanks, see you later - slightly bowed down and headed to the gates on the right side of the reception.
The gates looked like the airport, just "the doors" were square glass plates that could be opened only by swapping an employee's card. Straight after the gates was a corridor with 2 lifts on the right and left, also further down another path leading to corridors hidden behind the walls. He used the first lift on the left. Then after riding alone, he stopped at the 7th floor. Then, headed to the studio at the very end of this long corridor, doors on the right.
He opened the black, solid doors which were heavy like his garden fence when he just moved in, before applying oil.
The studio consists of two rooms. First, after entering the main door was the control booth. Doors were under the left side wall. Just further down was the lounge area. A black leather couch under the wall and two armchairs standing parallel, forming a U shape with a coffee table just in the center. On their right side was a long control desk with hundreds of recording controls, and a main computer in the middle. Two large screens were placed at the window just above the desk, a keyboard on placed on it and small space for a computer mouse on its right side. The office chair was nicely placed under. The window was as wide as the control desk. At the end of this room on the right side was a bar chair and a high table with a microwave, then under the wall 3 vending machines, each with different products. Sandwiches and noodle soups, cold drinks and hot drinks. Except for them, on this wall, two pairs of doors were seen, probably for machine rooms.
Kyungsoo came near the high table at the end, took out a laptop from his backpack, and placed it in the middle. Then he took out the blue file and black notebook and headed to the chair in the middle of the control booth. When sat down, he lowered under to press the PC power button, and then he sat comfortably and looked behind the window.
The second room was a vocal booth. This was the place for real fun for musicians as after entering by the door from the control booth's right side, there was all kind of different instruments standing and waiting to be used!
Right wall - metal desk with violin and flute case, then large black piano. The back wall was filled with all kinds of guitars and bass guitars hung on the rack like coats in the anteroom. On the left side was a drum set and three hand drums of a different size. Then finally, in the middle was a vocal station with a high chair, microphone, and isolation shield.
Kyungsoo started working on the computer, took out from his pocket a pen-drive, and inserted it into the PC. Time was passing fast when he was working, writing in the notebook, and creating new beats in production software. "A piece of cake," he thought, and after that he opened his eyes and a sudden spark appeared in his gaze. He took a pen, played one of the beats, and went:
"A piece of cake...
Inscribed in significance
I wrote it as I wished
As the author of the novel"
the melody was coming along with the words. He suddenly stood up and started singing:
"Before it gets more difficult
With the words I said
The day... that felt like a dream" then stopped
- no, "an answer" sounds better...- and typed it down. The whispers from the door site woke him up from a trance and he rushed to see who is it. It was four Tempo members secretly watching him from a slightly opened door and giggling with each other. He calmed down:
- You're here? Did I leave the doors open? -
Boys walked in with amused faces and one of them answered " Yes, sorry for eavesdropping" and he folded his hands as if in prayer.
He was quite tall, around 180 cm, with medium-length wavy hair, and a round face.
The member on his right was maybe 173cm tall, with short hair with red colored gelled bangs up. Kyungsoo guessed it was some kind of trend that he was not following, but it would pass soon anyway so no point in thinking about it.
Next, the tallest of them, maybe a 188cm guy with blue hair color, cut in a mushroom hairstyle. Again, for Kyungsoo probably the color was a bigger question than the cut, but he ignored it.
The fourth one was max 170cm and his hair was blond dreadlocks.
- Guys, sorry, I have seen your names but still don't know who is who. Can you enlighten me? - he pressed his hand against his chest - I'm Doh KyungSoo as you probably already know -
- I'm Di! - the one with wavy hair said
- I'm TJ - the one with gelled bangs
- I'm Luke - the tallest said and Kyungsoo commented: "Oh, going by English name?"
- My name is Nakatsu, and I'm Japanese - he made a peace sign and pressed it to his face with a teethy smile.
- Nice to meet you guys - KyungSoo was calm, but it seemed he couldn't wait to start. He prepared many tasks before they started the real thing.
- Sit on a couch, I would like to speak and get to know you - he pointed to the lobby and then headed to his producer's chair under the control desk.
After a while, when they finished talking about themself he went:
- Who is rapping and who is singing, also what kind of vocal range are you? -
They shouted together while raising their hands high like at school. - Sorry, what did you say? Soprano? - he asked Di.
- I can go very high! - shouted with pride, but Kyungsoo, even without changing his impassive facial expression he smirked. Soprano is the highest female range, we will see if he is telling the truth.
- And you? - asked Nakatsu
- I'm on the lower range but I can do runs and adlips! - said that to make Kyungsoo curious about his abilities. Then the producer asked:
- So you both are rapping? For a rap... guys, please do not mumble rap, I will appreciate any effort to be as creative as it is possible, OK? -
Silence...
- We're not mumble rapping, no worries! - The blue-haired Luke laughed out loud.
- I'm glad to hear that because what I have for you will need a specific style and flexibility to make it perfect. Let's check your vocals range first, so I'll know where we are standing -
And the KyungSoo's mini-casting started. Apparently, the vocals were slightly different than what was stated by the members. Also, Kyungsoo helped them to explore their vocal capabilities. This studio suddenly became an amusement park. The laugh and excitement were heard even in the corridor...Where Kim was standing and listening, as the doors were not closed fully.
- Manager Kim...-
He jumped on site after hearing a gentle voice talking from the back. With eyes wide open he tried to catch a breath.
- Director Choi, what brings you to the 7th floor? - asked one question but it seems he had more of them in his head.
- I'm just checking on our new boy group. How are they? -
The person standing there was a middle-aged tall woman with black long hair tied nicely in a twisted low bun. Minimal makeup, just long lashes and mat lipstick in a dark burgundy color. She was wearing a black office suit set with a grey shirt under. She casually came under the door and listened to any sounds coming from the gap.
- Considering Kyungsoo will train and lead them, we can expect something new and satisfying... - he answered a question from a few seconds ago, but his tone sounded like he was not admitting it easily.
Then Choi opened the heavy door without any warning, walked inside, and closed it behind leaving Kim alone in the corridor...
When she entered, the silence fell in the studio. Kyungsoo rose and bowed his back:
- Director Choi -
The rest of the boys did the same. She casually moved to KyungSoo's site and turned to the Tempo members.
- Are you enjoying your time here? Do you find this session helpful? -
"YES!" They shouted together at once while raising clenched fists like they were ready for a battle.
- Good - Director smiled and turned to Kyungsoo - how do you see this? -
For some reason, they both started slowly moving to the vocal booth, without a word like they were sharing the same mind. - Doh Kyungsoo - saying his full name intended to speed up his answer. He smiled gently and while walking inside the vocal booth he started:
- They have talent but no technique. It will take a while, I'm not a vocal couch. Will practice with them the songs and explore their abilities to sound the best as it's possible on recordings, but they should start training now. They don't even know the vocal range...- and stopped because he realized Choi is laughing amused by his words - ...OK? -
- I apologize, it's just I'm still impressed even after many years. You grown tall Kyungsoo-yah - she looked at him in a way mother would look at her son and that made him speechless - I'm glad that I made you stay that day. You are the most irreplaceable person in this building. Come to think about it, do you still have this...trauma?.. - stopped. Is this the best word? Can she ask it directly? A few years ago saying the word "trauma" was like playing with fire. He looked into her eyes with disbelief. Then, calmed down as if this question never happened, looked at the microphone and the chair in the middle and almost whispered:
- I have no idea, to be honest... a lot is going on in my life and I somehow forgot about the past. But I like how I live now, thank you, again, for giving me a chance back then - he then gratefully smiled and bowed slightly.
- I will never forget when I found you on that floor backstage... also, I will never forget when you were the only candidate on casting who came with a Pen-drive, printed off lyrics and sang your own song. I knew I couldn't lose you back then...-
This silent second was long like an hour. Was the sliding in his lower eyelid tear a manifestation of joy or the terrific memories?
- If you ever wish to try again, please let me know. I won't be lying, as a director I wish to use all your capabilities for business purposes, but...as a friend... I just want you to be happy and not limited because of your fears. I'll help you, whenever you feel you are ready - her caring smile gave Kyungsoo comfort. "Thanks" he nodded head.
When she was about to open the door, she stopped and raised her hand:
- I remember! This is something I have learned today *ha ha ha*- laughed suddenly before even revealing the reason - Staff is calling you producer K.O. - and covered her laughing face by hand. Confused KyungSoo wasn't sure if he should laugh too:
- What does that mean? -
- I didn't know either, but apparently, K.O. in games means the final blow, and employees are saying you are always giving the final blow to every work - she still laughed like it's the best joke ever. This was surprising but not unpleasant. Kyungsoo felt like laughing too and they both came back to the control room in a good mood.
The next day, and the day after, and the day after, all were looking the same. Producer K.O. comes to work at 7 a.m. and finishes around 8 p.m. Eating, reading, or watching movies then sleeping and waking up again. On Thursday there was no difference.
This day was long. Kyungsoo had to train Tempo as apparently, no vocal couch was available at that moment because they were in different cities and different branches. JJE was big enough so they could afford to employ additional staff, but it seems the recruitment and planning team missed this one job role in their plans and now they are blaming the low budget for short-staffing.
After this long day, at 5 p.m., Kyungsoo was still in the studio. He was working on the song he came up with 3 days ago, recording his voice, but not in the vocal booth, just sitting comfortably in his chair in the control room.
The doors opened, he didn't even have time to turn around when he heard:
- Kyungsoo-yah! - it was Chanyeol, waving his hand and smiling like a baby.
- How's it going? - at the same time slapped friends back. Then, Kyungsoo swung his elbow just in the center of Chanyeol's belly, but just touched to scare him, and it worked, his friend jumped back and started laughing.
- How are things? All good?-
- Yeah, I think so. Been buckling down for the last 4 days - raised his hands and stretched his back as much as he could.
- What about you? -
- Umm...nothing really, SeoJung and WSS are a pain in my butt, but we're fine with May now, so nothing will destroy my great mood. What about YiSeul? -
Silence...
Kyungsoo just realized he didn't have any contact with her for 3 days. He was so knackered after work that he was managing only to send a Goodnight message...has she replied at all? He grabbed his mobile phone and started searching. She didn't...then he looked at Chanyeol who was standing with folded hands and gazing at his friend with disbelief.
- That's not good, is it? Instead of sitting here pointlessly, you should call her. Maybe she's mad, I would definitely be...- Kyungsoo grabbed the phone and ran to the corridor while pressing CALL.
ONE SIGNAL
TWO SIGNALS
THREE SIGNALS
- Finally, huh? - she answered...
He was in such a shock that couldn't construct the sentences. He didn't believed she answered... And why he didn't think about her in those 3 days? How selfish is he? She's angry, definitely angry...
- Y..YiSeul...apologies, I had loads of work to do...- "It's fine, I knew" she interrupted...
But what is this feeling of disappointment? Why is she not upset? Why is she supportive? He has done wrong! He is the worst boyfriend and yet, she is not angry.
Something seems off.
He knew it but didn't want to let this thought disturb his mind now.
- Are you happy to spend time with me tomorrow? I mean...I will work only 5 hours, most of the job is done. Do you want to go on a trip to an amusement park? -
- Why not? Sure! - she almost shouted into the phone and this made him satisfied. Then he came back to the studio where Chanyeol was waiting impatiently to joke around about this situation.
What a joyful day is waiting for you Kyungsoo-yah...

──── 𓆩*𓆪 𝑳𝑶𝑨𝑫𝑰𝑵𝑮 … Hello again !! It's 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐑 (he/him, 21+), @hdjamie mun, and this is my nightmare child 𝐑𝐘𝐔 𝐘𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐔𝐋 (21, Behigh Lab). He's like... a huge problem, apologies in advance. Yiseul initially comes across as a rather quite (but not shy) person. He's 'mysterious' to most people, as they typically figure out after telling him their entire life story that they barely know anything about him, even that his sister is Starlight trainee 𝐑𝐘𝐔 𝐌𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐍. He's unpredictable, and hot and cold a lot of the time, can snap at the smallest things and get very catty, and doesn't forgive easily (or at all). He's a big believer in 'revenge is sweet'. Primarily, he’s a singer, but is a very strong performer, and writes songs (which he will never show anyone—at least not for a long time). He loves playing the guitar, long night walks, and ruining lives (joking... or am I?). Here you can find his 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄 (here I am slacking on another background... but it'll come ! promise ! ) and under the cut I’ll leave some general info about him to kickstart any plotting ideas. I also have a discord, given upon request !!
──── 𝑻𝑹𝑰𝑽𝑰𝑨
Yiseul is the older brother of @hdmolan , however they do not get along, or well, Yiseul doesn't get along well with her, but he won't ever give the real reason why
He grew up in Manhattan, NY, with all the high-expectations that successful parents usually put on their kids resting on his shoulders. But Yiseul wasn't anything like Molan, who arrived not even a year after his birth—it was as if they knew he was faulty, not perfect like they wanted
While not stupid, Yiseul wasn't a successful as his sister, in school or acting things he was pushed to do, only complying because he wanted to please his parents. He got great grades in English, Art, and Music, but his Math, Science and PhysEd grades were worryingly low
Young Yiseul wanted nothing more than to make friends and have fun, but he was naive and far too trusting, and would end up buying things for his 'friends', until he overheard them talking about how pathetic he was, and how if it weren't for his parents money they'd not keep him around. After that he didn't make friends anymore, at least not for a very long time
Due to people using him when he was young, he's incredibly private, and doesn't talk about his family, or home life at all, and tends to keep people at arms length, however he's nosy, and loves to have the upper hand, so he'll take and take and take, and give nothing back information wise—you can feel like you've told Yiseul your entire like story, and then realise you barely know a single thing about him
After the 'friend incident' when he was about 10, Yiseul began turning inwards, and realised the only person he can trust is himself. This tends to make him a little heartless and inconsiderate of other people, and when he's angry, he can be outright mean. It's safe to say he's got a lot of enemies
Yiseul doesn't talk about how he feels, so most of his emotions either go into his journal, or his lyrics—he's always writing, or doodling, but he absolutely will not share anything he writes with anyone
As 'turned inward' as he is, he likes attention, and being desired, admired, idolised—guess that's why he's in this line of work. He wants everyone to want to know all about him, and yet never be able to know a single thing. He wants to be an unknowable enigma (pretentious, honestly)
While he used to refuse to make friends (his early to mid teens were spent mostly alone) he's a little more open to it now, though he still keeps people at arms length, and does a bit of a 'push and pull' with people—pushing them away when he feels they've gotten to close, and pulling them back in when he decides he wants their attention again
During his solitary teen years, he focused on music lessons, writing songs, playing in the rock band he'd fallen into, and going for long walks (to the point he was almost reported missing a couple times when he failed to come home until the early hours of the morning)
He'd never thought of being an idol until Molan got signed and while he didn't want to copy her, he realised he didn't really have any idea of what he wanted to do, especially having just graduated and started college with an undetermined major, so he auditioned in the fall of 2020, and began training December 2020
He mainly focuses on singing, performance skills (like facial expressions and small gestures—born to be a center tbh) and songwriting, but he won't share his private lyrics with anyone, he writes separate less personal stuff if he has to show stuff
Yiseul loves old things—antiques, old music, old tech, etc. Nostalgic vibes (even though he wasn't around when most of the stuff he likes was made). Very much a 'tortured artist/manic pixie dream boy'

hello hello ! thank you everyone for the warm welcomes ! it is i, kristin (admin *), here with my third attempt at a third muse. under the cut, you’ll find a brief background on my baby, heo yiseul, as well as some potential plot ideas ! and speaking of plots, if you’d like to plot, please like this post, and i’ll hit up you im’s ! likewise, you can request to follow me on twitter (@withlove_jsy) if it’s easier to connect there !
Tumblr media
+ bright, dauntless, empathetic, passionate, spirited - defensive, headstrong, immature, senseless, uncompromising
born and raised in gwangju, yiseul loves her hometown - but not enough to, like, not leave it (eventually, ya’ know).
she’s always been a ‘dance to the beat of her own drum’-type of girl; always doing well enough, but never her best - in a word, she’s average but, like, by choice, and that’s gotta count for something, right?
(for example, she studied and took the ksat because all her friends were, but will she actually apply and go to college? who knows! yiseul sure as hell doesn’t - err, didn’t!)
ironically, she never was all that into k-pop growing up; she’d always been amazed by the wonders of the world, that there was more to see outside of fuckin’ gwangju, south korea, and her music taste reflected the same.
it was an uneventful, random day like any other day when she stumbled upon a video entitled ‘a day in the life of lee jiho’ and, well, the rest was history.
she was hooked from the get-go, and it’s just like they say, the stan life really did choose her.
soon, she went from a regular high school freshman to a full-on fangirl; she streamed like her life depended on it, organized album group orders at a chance to get into a fansign, and worked a part-time job she once vowed to never sell her soul to just to afford a dslr camera for her own eventual fansite.
(her high school years were filled with lee jiho, and she wouldn’t have it any other way)
three years eventually passed, and her high school career was slowing to a halt; everyone was announcing where they’d be attending university in the fall, and yiseul was, well, lying instead.
sometime in the winter, yiseul took yet another trip to seoul, but not for a concert or a music show or a fansign or anything like that; rather, she attended lgc’s biannual auditions on nothing else but the small hope that she’d see jiho in the flesh and, well, a whim that she wanted to be an idol herself.
there wasn’t a lot of preparation on her part, and yet, her passion was still recognized - and when she received the call that she had been accepted weeks later, she almost couldn’t stop herself from immediately replying ‘yes’.
looking back, it was a spur-in-the-moment decision, but not one she necessarily regrets - should she have forged a college acceptance letter to trick her parents into letting her move to seoul alone? objectively speaking, no, she shouldn’t have, but what’s done is done! better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission in the end, though, right?
in january, she was signed to legacy entertainment, and in february, she graduated from high school and left the only life she’d ever known - how goddamn exciting.
now, nearing the end of her first year as a trainee, yiseul’s still trying to figure this whole thing out - she closed her fansite and all her other social media accounts, has had to downplay her overwhelming love affection for lee jiho, and found herself more challenged here than anywhere else back home.
sure, she’s not entirely certain if she wants to commit to this whole ‘idol’ thing yet, but hey, at least for now, she’s having fun trying to figure it out!
in general, i’d love any and all plots for yiseul, but here are a few specific ones i have in mind to get the ball rolling!
any other idols (or even senior trainees) who recognize yiseul from her consistent appearance at lgc events for jiho; her embarrassment upon realization will vary from person to person.
fellow gwangju natives! specifically anyone who actually does attend college in seoul as well, and is confused as to why their parents keep mentioning how her parents can’t stop talking about yiseul in school when you both know that’s a goddamn lie.
alternatively, someone who helps her keep up with her lie - tags along with her on her monthly visits to the nearby college campus, intruding on the first lecture she stumbles upon just to take one (1) singular picture in.
someone she actually let slip about her fangirl past (present?) to, and now majorly judges her for it. bonus points if their relationship involves into one where she’s bending over backwards to make sure you keep her secret, well, a secret!
drama, all the drama! yiseul’s not in college, but she’s gotta live out her sweet and spicy twenties somewhere and with someone(s)!

Unexpected
Chapter 4
Genre: Drama, Romance
Summary: How the one week in separation will change their life?
This story wasn't suppose to be sweet and heartwarming from the first place...
Dear reader, are you ready for a new ark filled with sadness? But remember, after every rain the sun is shining. Will Kyungsoo find his sunshine in this storm?
Tumblr media
"Was I always this vulnerable?
Was you my only strength?
Sharing with you my desires,
Telling you about my misery,
Like you are the best medicine,
...
Does it have a side effect?
Or Did I overdose?
The season has changed...
Why I'm still here?"
Kyungsoo breathed heavily while leaning on a desk in his office room at home. All the books were scattered under the shelves. Ripped pages next to them. The abandoned guitar's unfortunate place under the wall on the right side of the room was telling stories about the hysteria from a not long time ago. There was this unbearable lament bouncing off the walls...
In silence...
Chapter under the cut❤️
It was a sunny morning, past 6 a.m. This airport was living its own life like it was Saturday afternoon in the city center. Many flights landed. The light brown color of the floor tiles reflected the sunlight, jumping inside the building by the glass walls from the exit side. Kyungsoo was sitting on one of the bench seats inside.
He wore a light brown jacket and black trousers. While holding a mobile phone in his hand he smiled gently. It was YiSeul messaging about having fun the next couple of days without her.
"It's a work trip, how can it be fun?" He thought, and the phone started ringing.
- Chanyeol-ah! - Kyungsoo answered while looking around.
- Kyungsoo-yah!- laughed while imitating his friend - I'll be there in a second, just going to the toilet and grabbing a coffee, you're ok? You can wait near the entrance, I'll find you -
- Ok, hurry up - said Kyungsoo, and hung up. He then grabbed a grey backpack, wore it on his arms, and bucked his waist-belt. After that grabbed a large, black suitcase on wheels and casually proceeded to the exit.
Outside were small (compared to inside) crowds of arrived travelers. This was a street where many cars were parked to collect those travelers, and opposite the exit, a little further down, was a small park with trees and benches. He looked up in the sky. Even the noise around couldn't disturb his peaceful mind. "..ah...it's only one week...I hope she won't be bored alone....". These thoughts were swirling around his head, how great is to have her by his side...
Suddenly, he jumped to the side, barely staying on his feet, and raised his head to see who just pushed him so hard.... realizing he unconsciously caught this person, so she didn't fall on the ground...
It was a young woman. He thought: "Maybe 25, maybe 28, it's difficult to predict as girls these days are using many amazing cosmetics and ..."
She jumped back from his hands, waking him up from his internal analysis. Panicked, brushed her long dark brown hair with her fingers, shouted "Apologies!", grabbed her large, black suitcase, and ran away leaving him speechless. It was a long few seconds when he was watching her disappear.
- Kyungsoo! - Chanyeol jumped on him, scaring him slightly, so he swung clenched fist at his friend's stomach, but just touched to scare Chanyeol back in revenge.
- You done? - asked
- Yeah, let's go. Your coffee - Chanyeol handed the warm drink to KyungSoo and they headed to the nearest taxi.
The hotel where KyungSoo and Chanyeol were staying was in a classic 1970s style. Although the windows were modern, and looked a little bit out of context, in general, the view was pleasant, and looking at the interest in this place, none of the guests probably minded the mix of styles.
They checked-in in reception and hurried to their booked rooms to change clothes and prepare for a meeting.
Kyungsoo entered his room which was studio apartment size. From the small anteroom, he could enter all the rest of rooms which was: the toilet on the left, the kitchen opposite, and the bedroom on the right. Funny how the bedroom was connected to the kitchen from the inside. "This could have been just one room, what is the point in those walls separating the anteroom?" He smirked, after creating a reconstruction plan in his head. His mind is always absorbed by analyzing new experiences and places like it would change anything. But he can't fight with this part of his personality.
He went to the bedroom first and placed his backpack on the small brown bedside cabinet under the white wall. All the walls were white, and the carpet covered the floor on every inch, excluding the toilet where the white tiles were placed.
Then he put his suitcase on the bed and opened it to take some stuff important for the meeting...
"What is that...?" He stiffened and all the waters in his body started to boil from shock, out of fright, or all kinds of panic emotions you can feel at this kind of moment. His mind went blank. He tried to remember what happened before he arrived at the hotel..." That girl..." he whispered with a pale face. Hopefully, his laptop was in the backpack together with all the documents. He tried to calm down, took a deep breath a few times, sat on the bed and after long seconds of consideration he created a plan for a meeting. That was the most important now.
Then he looked into her suitcase and found a name tag, similar to the one that parents are sewing or just hang on their kid's clothes or bags when they go to primary school.
The message on the tag was as follows:
If found alone
Call Rose
01937xxxx
He was gazing at this tag for a long time in silence. It wasn't certain to him if his messed up state of mind was caused by this situation in general, the fact she swapped the suitcases by mistake or...that she was keeping this tag in her suitcase because it's probably the last thing that adult would think of before going on a trip alone...
He called the number.
The signal was on but no answer. Then tried again, 4 times to be precise.
After looking at the time on the phone, he hurried up and started preparing for a meeting.
The meeting place was a boardroom in one of the JJ ENTERTAINMENTS buildings. This spacious room had only the most important furniture which was a long, polished wood table and 11 stylish spinning chairs for all board members. The walls were in magnolia color, the floor was covered by navy, fluffy carpet. Doors were at the top of the left side, and the wall on the right was made from stone mosaic wall tiles in a light gray color, with the exception in the center where there was a place for a 90" size TV. Also, at the bottom of the wall, under the TV was a small chiller for drinks, filled with only water and a few cans of Coca-Cola, probably ordered by the members beforehand.
It was 9 a.m. when 11 attendees started gardening, including Manager Kim. Each one of them was in an expensive suit, mostly grey and black. Besides men, 5 women came, also in suits of the same colors. Then Kyungsoo was wearing the same clothes as before, which were a light brown jacket, and Chayeol in a retro-styled hooded jacket. They both sat just at the beginning of the table under the TV.
The man in his probably 60s sat just at the end of the table and patiently waited till everyone was settled down. He was the CEO of JJ Entertainment.
At some point, he said:
- Good morning, I hope everyone had a comfortable journey. We are here today to discuss the anniversary concert next 3 or 4 weeks. The date still hasn't been settled up, but we will get there eventually....- and waited for any reaction from other members. His facial expression reminded the one of the governor in prison. He smiled like an angel, but his gaze was a thread. He didn't have to say a word, his stare was creating a law that everyone had to obey without discussion.
- Let's begin, shall we? - and the angelic smile just appeared, bringing insecurity even to prepared for these meeting members....except two friends at the end. Kyungsoo was typing lyrics on his mobile and sending them to his email address while Chanyeol was absorbed by staring at the least favorite board members and laughing quietly at their frightened behavior.
The meeting was going smoothly. Each one of the employers was sharing their theories or presentations. Kim was sitting quietly until his time came.
- Woo Shik, what have you prepared for Creams? - the silence appeared in the room. Woo Shik was a young man, age max 30. Black curly hair cut short in the back, but fluffy bangs were almost covering his eyes. Long face, small eyes, and slightly damaged lips from biting.
-...um...- he started, but had difficulties to construct the sentences - they will be performing 5 songs...so I was thinking, we can choose the most popular 5 ...- he paused for a moment to look at their reactions, which were none so he continued- and...um...we can make the "candy" appearance, fans loves it....- he paused again. This time it looks like he ran out of ideas, so the pause was like a begging for someone else to speak up. Kim slowly looked at Kyungsoo who was still working on his phone hidden under the table.
- Doh, anything you wish to add? - ...silence. Kyungsoo raised his head and needed a few seconds to understand the situation. Then he leaned on his chair comfortably and said:
- I would use 4 of the most popular songs, 2 from the debut and two from the second album. Then I would give them 5 minutes to interact with the audience announce a new single, and sing the highlight from it. It would build excitement amongst fans. Also...- he looked at Woo Shik - I don't think the "CANDY" theme is the best. First of all, they are not newbies anymore, and together with the last scandals about them dating seems not in place. I would choose FAITH as the 4th song to emphasize that they are no longer children. That would help to make the audience understand that they are also human beings and will calm down the media a little... - he finished.
The silence in the room was shouting about admiration. Then suddenly, the silent applause could be heard. That was the CEO who was entertained with KyungSoo's speech.
- Manager Kim, what's your decision? - Kim needed a long second to answer:
- I'll go with KyungSoo's idea...- it seems his plan to embarrass Kyungsoo has failed. Was it this plan? Or maybe there was a different reason?
The meeting was carried out as planned till the end, and no one realized that KyungSoo's presentation was mostly created on a mobile phone while going by taxi and during the meeting itself.
Later in another room, there was a presentation again, this time led by one person for the audience consisting of employees. Large area, fully in white colors, hundreds of chairs, and a scene with a mini cinema screen behind. The presentation was about the stadium where the concert will take place and all the important details in this matter.
Kyungsoo was sitting with Chanyeol somewhere in the middle of the right side of the audience.
- How's our naughty YiSeul? - Chanyeol joked after looking at Kyungsoo scrolling the phone.
- Alright, I think. Stop talking like she's your girlfriend too -
- I always wanted to ask you this, because sometimes when speaking, she has this weird accent, where is she from? -
....
KyungSoo's eyes widened in a second.
Time has stopped, why is his mind blank suddenly? Where is she from? He was replaying all his memories in his head like an opened family photobook, like an archive in the basement or the attic. He was in every corner of his memory...where is she from?
- Oi! - Chanyeol woke him up from his trance - Don't tell me you don't know! - covered his laughing face to not make any loud sound - KyungSoo-yah, that's not good? Ask her, and let me know ok? -
Kyungsoo was barely hearing his friend as his mind just created another investigation in his head. What does he know about her past? They meet one year ago, he was always telling stories from his life, he complained to her about his dilemmas, she was supportive...was she? She was always there, right? But was he supportive? Has she ever told him about her difficulties?
This year passed so fast that he wasn't paying attention to many significant points. What does he know about her?
After another important presentation, the working day was finally over.
Kyungsoo came back to his room, looked at the phone, and threw it on the bed, then went to take a shower.
*buzz buzz*
The phone was ringing.
When he came back from the shower, while drying his hair with a towel, he grabbed the phone and stiffened.... 4 missed calls and one text message. He rushed to open it:
- Do you have my suitcase?! -
He breathed a sigh of relief and started typing:
- Yes, can we meet tomorrow morning? I need the equipment from inside ASAP -
Two seconds passed:
- OK then, tomorrow at 6 am at the airport, same place as today. See you! -
He opened his round eyes widely but smirked with satisfaction that everything was sorted. Now, only time for a dream after this long day.
YiSeul hasn't texted him, she's probably busy. "Good night" he typed with a heart emoticon at the end.
Good night, KyungSoo-yah...
The next day, same time as yesterday, Kyungsoo arrived at the airport. He was waiting at the entrance for women who swapped their identical suitcases. He still couldn't believe this story, but he accepted that, and told himself that many unexpected stories can happen, like his and YiSeul's example. He waited. "I think I came too early," he thought, but after looking at the phone, it was exactly 6 a.m., as agreed. He wore the same jacket, so she would recognize him. All of a sudden, he felt shivers, sometimes you feel this when someone is watching you, so he raised his head to look for the source of this unpleasant feeling.
Just opposite him was standing a short girl, with dark brown long hair lying on her arms. Her pale skin color and dark, upturned eyes together had something unique, fascinating, Kyungsoo couldn't explain it in words. Maybe it's that red lipstick? She was wearing a blue sweater and a long, white dress, almost hiding her feet.
Slowly, she came nearer to him while not losing an eye contact.
- Is that you? Do you have my suitcase? -
KyungSoo's chest flattened as the uncertainty was forcing him to be prepared for any defense if it wasn't her, if he just had long eye contact with a random person who would approach him without any reason. He smirked and said:
- I have no idea how we swapped our suitcases, but hopefully, you had this name tag. Are you always keeping it inside?- he couldn't wait to ask that question which had intrigued him since yesterday. She then grabbed her suitcase and left his next to him. Then she smiled gently, raised her head, and explained:
- I get what you mean, that's unbelievable, right? I can't believe it myself, but what happened is I was late for my meeting, hopefully, I had all the documents on my phone so just printed them off on site. I was running and looking at my phone, so it's my bad, apologies for running into you - the way she spoke made Kyungsoo surprised as she answered all his questions in one go, and for some reason, he was not even bothered anymore. What happened, happened. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal from now on.
- What's your name? - she was looking at her phone while asking. Kyungsoo, amazed by this question said:
- Doh Kyungsoo, but why are you asking? -
- No reason, I'm Rose. Nice to meet you. Apologies, but I need to check in, my flight is soon - then she moved to the entrance, raised her hand, and waved - See you, maybe someday! -
- Remove! my num..m..ber...- The last word he whispered slowly as she was gone already.
For some reason, this situation was fascinating for him and he smiled while turning around and headed to the first taxi.
He spoke with YiSeul later. She was in the hospital with her mom. Her health was not getting any better, and that made Kyungsoo upset but he needed to focus because today he had another busy day...and all week was the same. He was waking up and going to the JJ ENMT building, planning, writing, arranging, listening, recording, and planning again. He spoke with YiSeul every evening, In the daytime she was absorbed by work and her mom's condition.
He then arrived in Yeonhui.
"Finally at home," he thought. It was evening, so the skies were covered in dark ink, and because of a rainy time, the clouds were covering all the stars.
His fence and grass were in the same condition as he left. "She took care of this place". Then he opened the door, not even thinking about taking off his shoes, he just wanted to see her first.
She was in the kitchen wearing an apron, a little dirty after cooking but that didn't matter. Nothing matters, as far as she's here. Her hair was tied in a top knot. The only makeup on her face was probably mascara. She lifted her soiled in sweet cake icing finger and licked it while raising her eyes to look at him.
- Hey! - he ran to her and hugged her like he just found his long-lost treasure.
- How's the flight? - she asked while hugging him back and patting his arm.
- Easy, it's a short flight so I didn't even realize when we landed. How are things? All ok? How's mom? Sorry, that is the most important, is she feeling better?
YiSeul looked into his eyes, it seemed she was constructing the best sentence to describe the situation.
- She's back at home, it seems she just overworked, and her back is not standing this kind of pressure anymore -
Kyungsoo was speechless for a second.
- So it's not life-threatening? -
- No, she fell down the stairs while doing housework. It's OK now -
He asked himself, what was the reason for him to create the life-threatening sickness, was it something she said? Or he just added this part by himself, which is hard to accept, but now he can't remember what exactly she said about her mother's condition. Mom - hospital - bad well-being - this generated a story in his mind? Sounds like an absurd. Maybe he is just too sensitive, maybe he was asking for a situation where he can support YiSeul, the same as she was supporting him up until now? If that's the case, that is very selfish of him.But he still couldn't accept this possibily....
- I'm happy everything is fine now, was worried about your mom -
YiSeul smiled slightly, took his hand, and led him to the set table, filled with tasty dishes and a big cake in turquoise color.
- Wait! - he gave an order and ran straight to the shelf just above the sink, grabbed a red wine, and came back to the table with two wine glasses.
- Addition to the delicious food you have prepared - he hasn't tried it yet, obviously, but he missed her, and whatever she prepared he will appreciate. Then he gave her a kiss...going deeper as his deep feeling of longing. She put her hand on his back for a second, then suddenly she cut this precious moment with words: " Let's eat first, shall we? - smiled and sat down.
"What's that? " he thought while standing still and watching her. "What is this feeling?"
Why does her lips seems so unfamiliar today?

Go Younjung "I'm happy with my acting praised for the first time through <Moving>, and <Law School> is my turning point in acting"
Interview by Roh Yiseul from Sports W | 2023.10.10
After fourth year since her acting debut, actress Go Younjung has finally won her first Best New Actress Award at The 2023 Asia Contets Awards & Global OTT Awards
Tumblr media
<Moving>, which won Go Younjung the Best New Actress Award, ia a human action series about children and parents with superpowers and past secrets who face enormous dangers that transcend time and generations. Not only has it recorded the highest ratings among all Disney Plus Korean contents, it has also received unprecedented rave reviews overseas, such as "the best superhero film in existence" (Rolling Stone).
Go Younjung first encountered <Moving> through an audition while filming the drama <Law School>. She had no prior knowledge of the original work, and auditioned right away with a script received on site. "I didn't know anything (about the work). I heard about it almost a day before the audition and went during the filming of <Law School>. I (usually) find impromptu readings really difficult. (because) I don't know the beginning and the end, and it's hard to understand the characters and their speech. That's why I get anxious. But <Moving> was surprisingly easy to read. While I was auditioning, I thought to myself, 'I really hope I can pass the audition'"
Unlike other auditions, the reason why it was easy to read despite being the first script she received was probably because Go Younjung and character Jang Huisoo share similarities. In reality, Go Younjung is someone who is liked by everyone, from her pretty appearance to her easygoing personality. Go Younjung revealed that her synchronization with Jang Huisoo was 99%. "When I first the internal preview, I thought the synchronization was 99%. There were parts where I approached it thinking that way. Like the way of speaking, the tone of voice, and the posture. After watching it 4-5 times, I could see the differences. She resembles me, but she seems a little more affectionate, warmer, and a little more alive, and strong. I think it's because she's played both the role of a mother (replacing the role of her mother who had died) and a daughter since she was young. And I think, later, these characteristics of her are maximized because she met Bongseok."
Tumblr media
Jang Huisoo, played by Go Younjung, ia a high school student who has the same infinite regeneration ability as her father, Jang Juwon (played by actor Ryu Seungryong), but wants to live an ordinary life while hiding her ability. After transferring to Jeongwon High School, Jang Huisoo receives an offer to enter a physical education college and prepares for the entrance exam every day. In reality, Go Younjung did ballet from age 5 to 14, and also learned figure skating and swimming. Go Younjung, who basically likes to exercise actually attend a physical education college entrance exam academy. "I couldn't increase my physical strength in a short period of time, so I received lessons that focused more on posture and attitude when training since it need to be recorded on camera."
Go Younjung received favorable reviews for her acting and action scenes in <Moving>. Among them, the 17 vs 1 mud action scene that reveals the fact that Jang Huisoo has superpowers is considered one of the best action scene in <Moving> following the 1 vs 100 motel scene by her father Jang Juwon. However, Go Younjung expressed regret, saying, "I couldn't do it as planned. I thought about ad-libs from expressing emotions to lines, but I couldn't perfectly coordinate with the action team because it went against my plan. There was nothing i could do because it was muddy. Sometimes, there are unforeseen synergies on set. That's why it came out more realistic. I think the improvisational aspects came out because of the action. It's one of the scene that I'm most satisfied with and proud of because it came out so well (laughs)."
When asked about what ad-libs she prepared, she said, "In the latter half, Huisoo swears. She only says one word. In the beginning, she didn't say a word, but I thought she needed a taste. I thought of swearing because I wanted to create a character who would swear when she's angry or in an emotional situation. It wasn't the word I expected, but she did it."
Tumblr media
She acted with senior actor, Ryu Seungryong, as father and daughter. In <Moving>, Ryu Seungryong's character (Jang Juwon) gave up everything and hid to live a normal life with his daughter who has the same ability as him, taking responsibility for the housework, and showing fatherly love by protecting his daughter. When asked about how she felt about actng with Ryu Seungryong, she said, "Senior Ryu Seungryong is very playful. He is so cheerful that you can't tell the difference when he's joking or serious. He takes care of me so well. At first, I thought it would be difficult because he is a great senior. But I was touched when he gave me a flower bouquet when we first met, he also personally chose the meaning of the flower."
The charm of <Moving> that Go Younjung star in is that "the superpowers looked realistic and the innocent children looked fantastic" The three newcomers, Go Younjung (Jang Huisoo), Lee Jungha (Kim Bongseok), and Kim Dohoon (Lee Kanghoon), were in charge of the opening the first part of the series. It may be an adventure for newcomers to decorate a 65 billion won masterpiece at Jeongwon High School. Go Younjung said, "I didn't receive any direction from the director while filming. It's not because I'm good at it, but because he trusted us and entrusted me with the part where he thought no one would know Huisoo better than me. There was also a part where he acknowledged the Huisoo I studied, so I was able to film very comfortably."
The three rookie actors (Go Younjung, Lee Jungha, and Kim Dohoon), who were called the Jeongwon High Trio, became closer than anyone else because they filmed <Moving> for a year while staying at a motel in Gangwon-do. Kim Do-hoon and Lee Jung-ha are also friends in real life. Go Younjung shared, "One day, we finished filming earlier than expected. It was past midnight, and it was raining and we were hungry. So we all walked to the convenience store with one umbrella. Bongseok was the most scared among us. So we decided to go there as a test of courage. I remember we were walking while surprising each other. Dohoon is really talented. He has the ability to make people laugh out loud. He's good at imitating voices and dancing. He's a real mood maker. We were able to film without getting tired. Bongseok makes people laugh without making a sound. When I saw him struggling, his eyes were smiling. They're both actors who make people feel good. Our chemistry was so good that it felt like our chemistry (on the screen) was more lacking. We were considerate of each other when there were difficult scenes, and we filmed them in a fun way."
Tumblr media
Go Younjung perfectly blended in with the high school student transformation without looking awkward, also the charm of Go Younjung's low-pitched voice met with Jang Huisoo's easygoing and bright energy creates a synergy. When asked about what kind of work will <Moving> be for her, Go Younjung answers, "After filming for a year, I thought that it was finally ending. Since I was filming in my school uniform and filmed the graduation ceremony two weeks before the end, it really felt like graduating school. We filmed at a remodeled abandoned school in Hoengseong. After that, while filming <Alchemy of Souls : Light and Shadow> my expectations for <Moving> grew even more. I'm wondering what my seniors would do when it's released. And after it was released, I'm so excited, thrilled, and grateful every day. I feel new emotions because I'm getting so many good responses from people around me."
Recently, Go Younjung has confirmed her next project, <Resident Playbook>, which is as a spin-off drama of <Hospital Playlist'>. The series will be produced by Creative Studio Egg is Coming and were written by Kim Songhee and will be directed by Lee Minsoo. When asked about what is the secret to appearing in a series of blockbusters and building a more solid filmography than any other rookie actor? Go Younjung said, "I think my timing was good. As an actor that the director and writer like, I didn't have any projects during that period, and I think it's because I did well in the audition."
Nevertheless, in 'Sweet Home', which made her face known to the public, there were voices complaining about her acting ability, in contrast to praise for her looks. Go Yoon-jung said, "'Sweet Home' finished filming before I could become close with anyone or get used to the set. I wasn't a member who was there for a long time. So I think I didn't really know how to have fun. I just tried to work hard and felt a lot of pressure, and I think that made me not relaxed."
Tumblr media
Go Younjung shared that the turning point in her acting was when she filmed <Law School>. "<Law School> is about law school's student and professor. There, I became close with Kim Bum oppa and Hyeyoung unnie. The director creates such situations (where the casts became close with each other). It's impossible for us not to become close (laughs). The director say chemistry is vital. He said it's better to act comfortably than to act well. I think that's when I felt that the set was a little more comfortable and fun. During <Law School>, I realized that I needed to become comfortable on set and close with the actors to act comfortably and create synergy, so I tried to become close with them quickly. In <Alchemy of Souls> Actor Lee Jaewook is around the same age as me. He was born in 1998, so the filming was very comfortable. I'm so thankful to him because even though he have no obligation to help me, he actually helped me a lot (during filming) and were very considerate. That's why I think it was a fun set to film. It was a set where I received a lot of consideration."
Go Younjung, who is receiving favorable reviews for <Moving>, said, "I'm so happy these days. It's not the first time, but this is the first time I've received so much praise for my acting. I feel dazed and doubtful whether I really did well. I'm also looking forward to the sets of my next projects. I think the words 'I'm a good actor' are the best and most touching thing."
Her role model is Ryu Seungryong. "I recently read an interview of senior Lee Byung-hun, and I remember the headline saying, 'We must not lose our innocence.' I've been acting for about 4 years. I still don't have a views about acting. But I really sympathized with that. I thought that the scenes I saw while admiring the works that I enjoyed were scenes that the actors acted purely. When we were filming <Moving>, the director asked me to say the line, 'We're just a little different and special' plainly. He said it would resonate more that way. I felt that it was the hardest to express it purely rather than trying to move people or express my emotions. Senior Ryu Seungryong showed me all that on set. I want to be like that (laughs)."

[ moth to a flame]
𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐓, Campsite, Hyde Academy May, 2023 w. 𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐄𝐆𝐘𝐄𝐎𝐌
“How you holding up?” Yiseul holds his stick out over the fire and watches as the tip of it catches fire, the wood glowing orange and splintering as the heat slowly travels down the long, thing length of wood. Beside him, on another fold-out camping chair pulled up to the side of the fire pit they'd made, Taegyeom sits. By the light of the fire, he looks just as handsome as when Yiseul first met him, and yet his looks are no longer what Yiseul sees first when he looks at him, much to his own surprise. Typically, people don’t mean much in general to Yiseul unless they’re attractive, and even then he only cares about them for the aesthetic pleasure they bring him.
Or at least that’s what he tells himself.
“Think I'm gonna win this.” His eyes remain on the fire, licking it’s way up the small branch towards Yiseul’s fingers; the spread slow, and steady. His lips quirk up into a flat kind of smile—he wonders if Taegyeom will even notice how obvious that lie is. Fire had always been somewhat of a comfort to Yiseul, and had become a way for Taegyeom and him to bond over the time they’d known each other. Of course, bond was a generous word when it came to Yiseul, but, at a stretch, he might be inclined to describe Taegyeom as a friend. Friends, Yiseul always thought, were merely weaknesses, and people were only there to be used for his benefit. Taegyeom, while definitely used at some point, had seemingly grown out of that, and slotted into a little hole in Yiseul’s armour that he’d forgotten to patch.
Filming had wrapped up for the day, so he doesn’t fear being overheard by a strategically placed microphone, or some member of the filming crew, when he says, “I dunno how I’m gonna do it—some of these people drive me absolutely nuts.” While others, he silently adds on, drive him nuts in an entirely different way. A way that makes him ultimately wish he hadn’t signed up for the show. Having had encounters with many of the guys here before, Yiseul wonders just how that’s going to affect his dynamic with them in here. Or, more importantly, their dynamic among each other—that is if they even find out how much he’d gotten around. “At least Robby’s here though, right?” He comments, smirking as he glances over at his companion.
