Ever since her break up, Esme has been trying to keep busy from feeling the tinge of sadness that was dwelling in the darkness. Which was probably why she took up Paxton's suggestion on hanging out. The blonde had hopes for the relationship to be different, she even allowed herself to fall hard and fast and now she dealt with the hurt side of it all, once again. Esme screamed when the ball made it into the last cup as she jumped up and down, shaking Paxton's arm in excitement. "We did it!" She said laughing.

While away, Clare made sure to make a list of individuals she could reach out to in the community to advance her reach as an illustrator. She did have her concepts on pen and paper but it was a matter of knowing who she could network with to progress her career. Of course she could ask Axel for help, but Clare wanted to at least try on her own volition to see what waves she could make. One of the individuals she was able to find was Paxton Brady. Clare liked his work and thought he'd be a decent start. "Uh hi...how are you doing?"

Amira loved running a cute little booth version of her shop. She got to decorate it with pink and glitter and loved to set up the large rainbow lollipops. It felt like she was playing a game of Candyland and it brought her comfort. She knew that she wanted to walk around for a little while as well, so she had one of her employees manning the stand for a couple hours but she didn't want anyone else to set up. she had a very specific way she wanted it to look and didn't trust anyone else to get it right. After setting up the free samples of fudge she noticed a familiar face. "Pax, are you a sweets person? I want to know which fudge you like best."

Hunter mused, as he flicked through the comic books, studying every cover with a focused eye, while intent on finding one that sparkled with his intrigue. "You know, like, old versions of Lex Luthor and what not." He paused, flashing a smile over his shoulder towards Paxton. "Not that I'd ever root for the villains, but he's definitely got to be up there as one of my favorites."

Atticus laughed, setting his very fitting twelve pack of Pink Lemonade Smirnoff Ice's on the kitchen island. One hand reached to slap against Paxton's and pull him in, the other coming up to clap him on the shoulder.

He knew, of course, that there'd been a possibility of him drawing the birthday boy as the other half of his dynamic duo, but walking into the kitchen to see him there in all of his Ken glory had Atticus feeling even better that he'd decided to go all out on his Barbie costume, blonde wig and all.

"You look great, man, but fuck, I was this close," he pinched his fingers together as he pulled back, "to going with the rollerblade look, but believe it or not I actually already had the cowboy hat." Tipping it in Paxton's direction, he grinned before going to snag two of the bottles he'd brought, one extended the other's way. "Happy fucking birthday, dude. Thanks for the invite, I fucking love a costume party."

Mostly because he liked to win. Even if there was no official contest, it was absolutely still a competition, and he would crush.

Tapping their bottles together in a silent cheers, Atticus took a long sip of his before asking, "so, how's thirty three treating ya so far? Would you say it's...sublime?"

"I'm not, like, jealous of him in any serious way, but I don't know...I get weird vibes with Pax's deal with his ex sometimes. Like, I know they're not friends or anything like that, but I know they still talk sometimes and I might've stalked the guy's Instagram a few times and like, how am I not supposed to feel some kinda way when my boyfriend's ex looks like that, right?

Pax can just be weird about him too, I don't know. It doesn't, like, keep me up at night, but yeah...kinda tickles the ole brain sometimes."

"There used to be at time when Pax occupied the spot of the only person I liked. I was going through it and I couldn't really stand anyone but him and I didn't want to try to either.
